The Following Month Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
1st February 2003 - 28th February 2003 With the sun making its return visit to your sign (19th January - 18th February) this becomes a time of renewal. Aside from celebrating your birthday with all the attendant affirmations that this is going to be a far, far better twelve months than any that have gone before, you may find that a project or an association which you had considered over and done with comes back into your life.
All months of every year contain a mixed bag of aspects and usually these alignments are scattered throughout the month but in February they happen all at once. The period to watch with most interest falls between the 14th and 23rd: until the 14th the cosmos is harmony personified but on the weekend of the 15th there is a dramatic display of astrological fireworks that completely alters the status-quo and they all focus on your sign. At the very least this mid-to-late part of February will make it crystal clear to you what is sustainable and desirable and what is not. The Jupiter-Neptune opposition (16th) fans hopes and dreams like no other aspect, but it also encourages false beliefs and lies. Thus, especially if you have a birthday between the 28th January and 4th February you must separate fact from fiction while allowing yourself to live to the full any romantic or heart/soul expanding experiences. The full moon of the 16th and the sun-Uranus conjunction of the 17th bring situations to crunch point - especially those centring on a relationship - after which a new way forward will emerge. It’s not that these alignments are difficult, more that they are enlightening and sometimes a wake-up call can shake you to the foundations.
The second half of February also looks to be a crucial one for global developments so there is a possibility that you yourself will find life quite settled but you will be gazing out on a world that is very stormy indeed.
Relationships and your personal life take precedence in February. Friendships and working collaborations could be put to the test and although you should remain true to yourself you should think very carefully before you leave a project or an association. Actions performed in the heat of the moment invariably produce regrets. And by the same token, alliances formed and commitments made under these influences will transform your life.
1st January 2003 - 31st January 2003 Do you often feel sluggish and out of tempo in the early part of January? No surprise if you do because the sun is located in the low-profile twelfth house of the horoscope, urging you to focus on the inner-you and weakening your grip on external situations. You may also feel more vulnerable and less keen on physical activity. Thus, if you are planning to take a holiday in which sports and a wild social life feature prominently, don't be surprised if your health pays the price. Not that I intend to be a party-pooper here - I'm just putting you in the astrological picture. Ideally, until the sun enters Aquarius on the 20th you should be taking life a little easier and paying greater attention to your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
During the first twelve days Uranus, your ruler, is in the ascendant making edgy connections to Venus and Mars in the career and life-direction sector of your chart. So, especially if you have a 14th - 18th February birthday you can expect some surprise moves on the part of an employer or some unexpected developments that affect the future of an enterprise. Uranus tends to destabilize relationships and it also awakens you to ideas and feelings you have supressed so although the first half of January could be a somewhat rocky period events will ultimately lead to success and happiness. And since Venus is all about love and romance Uranus may well play a role in awakening you to someone new and making you extra frustrated with the behaviour and presence of someone you have known for a long time.
After the full moon of the 18th some beautiful alignments are holding sway and these will either soothe an aching heart or bless a special occasion. And, if there is anything that requires the best of influences to help it along the period between the 19th and 21st is to be recommended.
From the 23rd Saturn and Pluto gain a stronger grip on world affairs and on our personal lives so avoid pressing other people's buttons and making threats or promises that you do not intend to carry out. The month ends as it began with a sense of greater things to come.
1st March 2003 - 31st March 2003 If only the wheel of life would stop for a moment so that you could have a breather - time to reflect on the past and to consider the best strategies for the future. Of course, the wheel of life will continue to turn whatever your preferences and since this column is one way of forward-planning I’m here to advise you that you are in for a month of contrasts and conundrums.
Top of the list of goodies is the arrival of Venus in your sign (2nd). This is always good news because Venus increases your capacity to find love and harmony; it also helps you maximize your assets and to find favour with people. Therefore, if you are seeking to make an upwardly mobile career move or to make an unforgettable impression on someone, you’ve got serious ammunition. March is a good time too for polishing up your image and making additions to your wardrobe.
Also good news is the exit of Uranus from your sign (10th), although in your ruling planet’s defence Uranus has awoken you to talents and feelings previously unrecognized and it may also have released you from inappropriate commitments. This iconoclastic planet now moves on to finances and self-worth - and with a similar brief of opening up new financial avenues and releasing you from monetary burdens and inappropriate spending habits!
By far the most impressive period of March emerges between the 8th and 18th. Saturn and Pluto come back into prominence then and while this duo are never easy to deal with they do serve a useful purpose in that they make it crystal clear where your energies and time are wasted. People will not be particularly easy to deal with during this ten-day period and if anything has been concealed or a situation has been moving along with an incipient carbuncle it will erupt with some force and demand to be dealt with. Cutting your losses could prove to be the best strategy but you must endeavour to do so with the least amount of acrimony.
On the 21st the sun moves into the area of travel and communications thus beginning a four to six week period when you will be making tracks in every sense of the phrase and connecting with people who stimulate you and expand your world view.
1st April 2003 - 30th April 2003 The cosmos settles down in April and instead of producing lightening and thunderbolts, gives us some sunny days instead. Now, I realize that in some parts of the globe this is far from the reality but, nevertheless, these more buoyant alignments will provide healing and help, and they could produce silver linings in the event of any serious upset.
Jupiter’s passage through the seventh house of relationships may already have had the effect of bringing special people into your life and generally improving the state of your partnership/love life, and with this planet turning direct on the 4th if you haven’t yet seen any evidence of those improvements you may shortly do so. Indeed, if you have been separated from a loved one or experienced a down-turn in a business or romantic relationship, matters may well start to clear up after this date.
The area of travel and communications is highlighted throughout April so you may well be making some away trips or putting together plans for a future journey. But while the overall pattern for travel and information-exchange is good, some potential problems could arise between the 11th and 19th. With this in mind, be very flexible with your planning in this mid-part of the month and leave nothing to chance or the last moment.
On Easter Saturday, the sun reaches the base of your horoscope, thus beginning a four-week period when home affairs predominate. Of course, you may be celebrating Easter with the family, in which case this will be an especially important occasion for discussing future plans and implementing any long-term changes. Also, over Easter, Mars moves into your sign for a six-week transit, thereby upping your confidence and determination, and making you ever keener to fulfil your ambitions and desires. But more about this next month!
1st May 2003 - 31st May 2003 Although your birthday starts a new twelve-month cycle, there is another point in the year at which fresh starts can be made, and it is during the time the sun transits the base of your chart, which it does during late April and May. Foundations can be laid at this time, whether they are the building blocks of new professional and personal endeavours or the scaffolding of new relationships. And since this area of the chart has anything and everything to do with home and family, May becomes a time of key changes, additions, improvements and developments in the domestic circle.
What makes this May rather different from any other are two eclipses - the first in Scorpio on the 16th and the second in Gemini on the 31st. And it is the former that has the greater bearing on your sign, especially if you have a birthday in mid-February. Full moons are times of completion, but when they are eclipsed this theme becomes even more powerful. Jobs may come to an end at this time, or there may be changes in the way you work. Most importantly, you may find yourself examining your life as a whole - whether you are on the right track, for instance, or what needs to happen in order for you to be who you want to be - that sort of thing. And it can also be a time when you look at your home and those with whom you share your life and consider making sweeping changes. Eclipses are often coincident with out of the blue events, so May could be a month when life changes, suddenly and unexpectedly.
Neptune takes the spotlight for much of the month, although you may want to make a note of the 3rd, 12th, 14th, 16th and 27th when this planet is most active. When Neptune is in the ascendant information needs to be checked for authenticity and if you are uncertain about a detail or aspect of any arrangement, you should make every attempt to establish the facts. Neptune is marvelous when it comes to spiritual and artistic pursuits, or helping two people fall divinely in love, but otherwise the line between fact and fiction tends to become very blurred. The week of the 12th is perhaps the most delicate of the month and taking chances of any sort is not to be recommended. Also, if all your instincts tell you not to do something - or to do it - obey them
On the 20th Mercury turns direct, so life will be less of an obstacle course. Then again, a situation could also lose some of its magic and mystery. I guess it’s a case of not having your cake and eating it too.
1st June 2003 - 30th June 2003 Between 21st May and the 21st June every year the sun passes through the creative and self-oriented fifth house of the solar chart. Thus, usually June is a largely pleasure-driven month and one when you are keen to compete and reveal your abundant gifts. It is also often a time when thoughts of the romantic kind spring to mind - and in some cases spring into reality. The only difference with June 2003 is that the sun forges some uncompromising angles to Uranus and Pluto so all the aforementioned themes go supersonic, so to speak. All things astrological have a positive and negative expression so at best June’s influences will encourage conquests, victories and breakthroughs but at worst frustrations could reach boiling point and one enterprise could go by the board.
It is these kind of influences that coincide with major global events so once again we should be glued to our TV sets from time to time in June. For instance, in Britain the discussions over the European Union could lead to serious rifts and ruptures. As for other world hot spots, watch this space, as they say. As far as your personal life goes this is a month when it won’t take much for rifts and ruptures to happen so you should do your level best to see the other person’s point of view and if a situation reaches deadlock, withdraw temporarily rather than issuing ultimatums.
Passions are easily aroused at this time, which may be excellent news if you have a new romance, or even a moth-eared one. You get to know where you stand under these influences - they focus the mind brilliantly - and especially between the 17th and 21st a love affair could blossom or you will be able to heel old wounds and improve a relationship. Indeed, despite the intense and challenging alignments of June, difficult situations handled with wisdom and compassion could lead to a happy-ever-after scenario.
1st July 2003 - 31st July 2003 July’s influences are like a soft, balmy breeze compared to previous months so if nothing else you can pause to regroup and appraise your situation. However, with Mercury, the sun and Venus all heading into the seventh house of relationships July could produce offers from and opportunities through other people that could make you very happy indeed. There’s also some hard work to be done this month, almost certainly during the first half of July. And for some Aquarians there are job changes and issues related to work that could well lead to a new status quo in the future.
Health and fitness are also features of the first half of July. This is quite the best period to put in motion a new health and fitness regime and to seek solutions to health worries. Getting in shape is another aspect of this same healthy theme, whether this applies directly to the body beautiful or whether aspects of your life and work require streamlining and generally overhauling. The full moon of the 13th will highlight any flaws and failings yet it may also bring to an end a health concern.
But back to July’s main astrological event - relationships. Aquarius is renowned for having many acquaintances but only a few real friends: likewise, you may date many people but making a life-long commitment is a scary business. Thus, with a cluster of influences in the sector of love and relating from the 13th July to the end of August you could be on the brink of major romantic developments. This aforementioned period is an ideal time to marry, reaffirm your vows or put a relationship on a solid footing. It is also a prime time to meet someone new who will become a long-term fixture in your life. And although romantic love may be the kind of experience you are most interested in right now, you may find instead that people come to you with offers of work or advice that will help lead to a happier state of affairs.
One way or another, July resounds to the theme of togetherness - and in stereophonic sound.
1st August 2003 - 31st August 2003 Jupiter has been transiting the solar house of relationships since August 2002, and since this planet is synonymous with larger than life events many Aquarians have seen the biggest developments in their lives revolve around other people and their personal or professional relationships. However, not all Aquarians have fallen in love, married or separated! If you are one of those Water-bearers who cannot relate to the Jupiter effect, do not pass judgment yet - a cluster of impressive aspects between the 18th and 30th could change your mind, if not the entire pattern of your relationship life.
But, first things first.
Whether or not August turns out to be the month you have chosen for nuptials or a second honeymoon, other people are likely to have a huge effect on what you do and where you go. It is a month to listen to what partners have to say and to put sharing, caring and discourse before your individual needs and preferences. Likewise in business or professional life this is period when colleagues, employers and large organizations may come to you with offers and proposals, and a time when you should not underestimate the competition or the opposition. The full moon on the 12th is the only one this year in your sign, and while this empowers and enlightens you, because the relationship axis is involved you may well have reached make or break point with an individual or an organization.
The second half of the month is dominated by Uranus, your ruling planet, and Jupiter so especially if you have a birthday between the 13th and 18th of February, events in late August could prove life-changing indeed. People who enter your life then could sweep you off your feet and opportunities that arise should be grasped with both hands. Conversely, actions perpetrated by other people could cause a fracture in a relationship or bring an end to a way of life. Certainly, if you have been waiting for an opportunity to get out of a life cul-de-sac, here it comes with knobs on!
Get ready for one of the most eventful and liberating months of the decade.
1st September 2003 - 30th September 2003 Being an air sign means having the freedom to express your very individual opinions and explore unmapped territory, most usually of the intellectual and psychological kind, thus, when planets group themselves in one of the more focused and depth-charged areas of the chart, you can feel hemmed in by circumstances beyond your control. First and foremost now this applies to financial matters. On the positive front your efforts to stabilize and improve your long-term financial prospects will not go unrewarded but on the minus side
a long-standing commitment could prove too costly to maintain and a major pruning exercise will have to be mounted. Second on the list for editing and grounding is likely to be a relationship, either of the business or romantic variety. Since the astrology is at extremes in September it brings out the very best and the very worst in people so if nothing else you’ll get to see who is made of the right stuff and who definitely is not.
From the 5th September until the 17th Pluto becomes the centre-point of a series of key aspects and since Pluto likes to dredge things up from the deeps, truths and realities of one sort or another are probably on the menu. Ideally, you should try to work through the situations that arise rather than issuing ultimatums and heading for the exit sign but if someone or something proves impervious to your charms, make a tactical withdrawal leaving the door open for re-visiting purposes at a later date!
Uranus heads back into your sign on the 15th, which means the late February Aquarians in particular get to see where they have run out of road and what (or who) is preventing them from following their true path. Happily, with Venus and the sun moving into the area of far horizons (on the 15th and 23rd respectively) there could be some positive developments linked to someone overseas or opportunities will arise to travel or meet with people from afar.
1st October 2003 - 31st October 2003 Looking longingly at holiday brochures? Wondering whether to emigrate to sunnier, more interesting climes? With a trio of planetary bodies in the ninth house of overseas matters and long-range interests, the need to widen your horizons need not be a mere nine-days-wonder - for some Aquarians it is the beginning of a whole new and expansive phase of life. And at the very least, this astrological focus should inspire you to look a little further than the end of your nose for fulfilment and solutions.
We do have a little more Saturn than we might like during the next four weeks but overall the influences are a serious improvement on September’s. Aside from the emphasis on travel and far-away connections, you seem to be more your usual optimistic self and getting fresh blue-prints off the ground, whether for personal or professional reasons will be part of that restoration of hope and optimism. Where Saturn might interfere is in regard to your job or a working project: this planet always finds the weaknesses in situations so don’t feel unduly ‘got at’ if, around the 6th, 10th, 14th and 27th things don’t go quite your way, even in some cases if you reach a dead end with something or someone. Think of it as one of those learning curves and move on to more fertile territory.
Returning to the theme of travel, October is an excellent month to make journeys, especially to foreign destinations and even if this cannot be on your agenda, making plans for future holidays and travel would go part of the way to providing the psychological lift you need. Saturn and the full moon (see above dates) can produce delays and communication hiccups so don’t forget to pack your patience pills!
From the 23rd, planets begin to congregate at the top of your chart in preparation for a four-week season when career and life-direction zoom to the top of your list of priorities - and with an eclipse set to take place in this same area in early November this latter part of October might be the time to shore up support and iron out any concerns related to your job.
1st November 2003 - 30th November 2003 There have been several periods this year during which the cosmos has looked stormy and unpredictable but November is in a class of its own. And if you’re interested in finding out a little more about the spectacular alignments of the next four weeks, please read my new article on the website: Harmonic Convergences, Eclipses and other awe-inspiring matters.
Until the 22nd the sun will be transiting the tenth house of career, life-direction and role in life, so this is a prime time for you to get behind such matters and for key developments to take place. The total lunar eclipse of the 8th/9th cuts across the axis of home and life-direction and it has a push-comes-to-shove feel about it. For some Aquarians what happens in November has its roots in the lunar eclipse of May 2003 so it could be that you are now ready to make a big move that was planned some six months ago. Also, if an out of the blue event alters your sights in some way, it may help to go back to May for the reasons why. Eclipses are always powerful change-bringers and even if you don’t change your job, move house, welcome a new addition to the family - or experience any other life-defining event - this lunar eclipse has the capacity to stir change at a deep level and to bring into full consciousness issues that have been concealed or denied.
Uranus and Pluto lend their full weight to the change-evoking nature of November’s events and especially if you have a birthday between the 15th and 18th February, this is a month of liberating and enlightening experiences.
On the 23rd the second total eclipse of the month takes place and while new moons signal new cycles and new windows of opportunity, the otherwise turbulent patterns suggest that the new will come in after some considerable upheaval. In the end, of course, all change is good, and you may be able to look back on this November and see it as the starting point of a new and improved phase of your life. Nonetheless, I’d go carefully through the month and take little for granted.
1st December 2003 - 31st December 2003 Aquarius is the sign of friendship and altruism, and you have more than one opportunity in December to demonstrate your gifts. Aside from a friend or colleague requiring your support, you may be in charge of gatherings and productions of one sort or another - and the key to success will be in letting go of the ego and operating through the heart, or at least allowing common sense to overrule petty emotional reactions. Some Aquarians may find that December’s creative theme is reflected in a birth, whether in your own family or a friend’s. The 8th’s full moon announces the end of a gestation period and may well bring issues regarding fertility and children to a head: this could also be a time when you feel more emotional so that small niggles in a romance or a relationship become exaggerated.
And speaking of romance and relationships. Until the 21st Venus will be moving through the low-key twelfth house, and sometimes during this transit an affair goes under a cloud or has to take a back seat for quite practical reasons. In many ways this would be a three-week period in which to take a sabbatical as far as dating is concerned and if you sense someone is keeping his/her distance from you, try not to fuss about it. When Venus enters Aquarius on the 21st you will be in a position to call the shots and this planet’s principles of love and harmony will be flowing more freely through your sign and your life.
Mercury goes into reverse thrust on the 17th so from this point on you should expect delays and disruption with travel and transportation - just what you need before Christmas, eh? - but to be forewarned is to be forearmed and if you leave extra time for journeys and keep checking that everyone involved in arrangements is singing from the same carol sheet, you should be fine.
Saturn is in charge of the New Year’s celebrations so anticipate a more subdued entry into 2004 than you might have planned. Nevertheless, Venus is still in your sign encouraging some Aquarians to fall in love and certainly to acknowledge the importance of love in your life.
1st January 2004 - 31st January 2004 Early January is traditionally your ‘low’ period of the year: the sun is passing through the reclusive twelfth house of your solar chart, making you less sociable and more introspective. It is the time of year when you are more vulnerable, both in the emotional sense and in the way of viruses and other health hazards. However, this year, finds Venus in your sign until the 14th so not only could this January prove to be one of the most happening months of the year but also there could be a lot more romance on the agenda. Some Aquarians may already have received a Christmas/New Year’s Eve proposal while others may simply have re-found their passion for their partners, and a few could have just met Mr or Ms Right. If, on the other hand, there are no upbeat romantic developments in your life, this may turn out to be simply a period when you feel positive about your self-image and hopeful for the future.
Saturn makes for a less than joyful entry into 2004 - this planet is renowned for spreading doom and gloom and being the zodiac’s party pooper par excellence - so, if your entry into the New Year is similarly downbeat, try to keep a sense of proportion about events. It won’t always feel like this.
Jupiter provides another golden factor in January’s astrology: currently placed in one of the prime financial zones of your chart, aside from acquiring some excellent bargains in the January sales, negotiations with banks and financial institutions could make your monetary position stronger than it has been for years. A partner’s income could increase and if you’re negotiating any kind of settlement, the other party could be more than generous. The only exception to this theme of upbeat financial developments could emerge around the 15th when the Venus-Uranus conjunction could make for some unexpected losses or miscalculations.
On the 20th the sun enters your sign and is followed the next day by a new moon. New life and hope is symbolized here and whatever the state of your existence, as you gaze up into the night sky on the 21st you should remind yourself of the immortal words of Scarlet O’Hara: Tomorrow is another day!
1st February 2004 - 29th February 2004 The month starts out on a Plutonic note - great if you are passionately in thrall with someone, not so great if you come across a piece of information that knocks your plans into a cocked hat! Since this astrological event has its focus in the zone of money and self-worth what may emerge in the way of information could affect your earning power or encourage you to think again about a large purchase or investment. Pluto is an extremely useful influence if you are ready throw out a plan that isn’t working or you are prepared to re-write a life script but if you are in any way in denial or resistant to change, a Pluto wake-up call can be deeply unsettling.
The full moon of the 6th cuts across the relationship axis and heralds a significant development on the romantic front, or in regard to a working partnership. With Valentine’s Day a mere eight days away, this full moon could augur a wedding, an engagement or a business merger/acceptance of an offer. Full moons, of course, highlight the flaws as well as the assets of relationships so for a small number of Aquarians the early to mid part of February will prove to be a time of painful realizations.
You may have to work hard on Valentine’s Day, whether this implies a labour of love or a large and demanding physical/practical task. If you feel a little let down by developments on this weekend, try not to exaggerate their importance: this is part of life, not all of it, and there will be plenty of other opportunities during the course of the year to celebrate love. By contrast the Venus-Saturn aspect of the 14th will make agreements solid and binding - an absolute must for marriages.
Ruler, Uranus, plays a key part in events from the 19th onwards. On the one hand you will be at your zany, inventive best and on the other, any person frustrating your efforts and plans had better watch out. There is a lot of change in the air during the second half of February and while there may be more travel on offer and opportunities to explore new interests and activities, the potential for breakdowns with machinery and communication blips is high. As with all things Uranian, care and forethought is required.
1st March 2004 - 31st March 2004 Money arguably may be the root of all evil but it is certainly the source of most of March’s ups and downs. The sun’s passage through the financial sector of your solar chart, indicates that it is time to resolve monetary problems and to take a long, hard look at all things financial. Now, aside from actually reading your credit card statements, March is a time to discuss salary structures, mortgage commitments and investments or borrowings, first and foremost with anyone with whom you share financial interests and second with banks and fiscal institutions. The full moon of the 6th is likely to bring a monetary problem to a head, although in some cases this same full moon will signal a successful financial agreement or significant purchase. By the time Pluto sticks his oar in (7th - 15th) you may have to jettison a plan or commitment and redraw part of the map in regard to finances.
This area of the horoscope also reveals the state of your emotional security, so it is entirely possible that your financial position is in a state of perfect equilibrium but your love life is all over the place. Nevertheless, the same advice applies: you need to perform a checks and balances exercise and establish where and who is in breach of the agreement! Perhaps the time has come to put some distance between you and another person, since there is a degree of mutual emotional destruction going on, or maybe you both need to examine the roots of any difficulty in order to put the matter behind you and move on together. The key, of course, to success is in communication and negotiation.
From the 20th, life begins to move apace - the travel zone of your chart is in full sail, encouraging you to broaden your outlook (every which way) and to change your routine and surroundings. As they say, a change is as good as a rest - food for thought particularly on or around the 28th.
1st April 2004 - 30th April 2004 With the zone of travel and communications centre stage, an April on home territory is going to be a rarity for most Aquarians. And, if you’re not off and away, you’ll be meeting people, exchanging ideas and making plans. All the more fascinating, perhaps, when you consider that communication expert, Mercury, will be in backwards mode! My usual advice under retrograde Mercury is to sew up arrangements and finish the paperwork before this planet performs an about turn, which in this case is on the 6th, but since this change of direction occurs during the run up to Easter, it is going to be well nigh impossible not to get caught up with some kind of log-jam regarding information and travel. Do your best to be patient with delays and other communication problems - as I often say, today’s three-act drama is tomorrow’s funny story.
With Venus and Mars in the creative and pleasure-oriented fifth house, there should be plenty of social events on offer and an excellent group of people to enjoy them with. There could be news of pregnancies and births, and, perhaps, a wedding or christening on the agenda. And if that isn’t enough for you, there are sporting events and outlets for your physical energy. Even romance could bloom - watch the 9th, 14th and 21st - although for some Aquarians the input of Uranus (9th) could make for some unexpected rifts and ruptures.
The solar eclipse of the 19th falls in the zone of travel and communications, so while this can be seen as an indication of a forthcoming journey - and one of some significance - it may also signal an offer, contract or mind-expanding experience.
I cannot promise a wonderful April, but on paper at least, it looks to be great improvement on the year so far.
1st May 2004 - 31st May 2004 Normally, when Mercury goes direct, which it does on 30th April, life gets back on track and irritating problems with travel and communications clear up, however, by the 2nd May Venus and Pluto are at odds, and on the 4th there is a total lunar eclipse. Thus, what may emerge during the first week of May, may indeed prove enlightening, yet the astrological recipe hardly makes for a sweet and tasty dessert. Global situations are likely to be the focus for this planetary assault, but, if there are situations in your life that have a storm cloud hovering over them, you would be wise to prepare yourself for a downpour!
The positive factor about the astrology between the 1st and 8th is that it will allow you to confront a difficulty and resolve it: the astrology will also reveal to you who are the good guys and who are the bad, and what is strong and what is not made of the right stuff. And I’d say that is a good thing.
Until the 19th, the home sector of your solar chart is the centre of activity - indeed the total lunar eclipse could preside over a house move or some kind of seminal family event: eclipsed full moons close chapters in preparation for a new one to begin, and although I have earmarked the home front as the setting for this process, depending upon your individual natal chart, this ending and beginning could apply to a whole other area of life.
From the 20th, the sun will transit the creative and pleasure oriented fifth house, so you could and should turn your attention to those activities and interests that make you feel good. Children could be the source of pride and good news, and a social event or creative endeavour could also up your levels of optimism and confidence. Venus is also in this area of the chart so affairs of the heart zoom to the top of many Aquarians’ agendas, however, with Venus turning retrograde on the 17th try not to worry if someone distances himself/herself from you, or appears to have lost heart in a relationship or project - when Venus turns direct in late June, the situation could change yet again.
1st June 2004 - 30th June 2004 Planets transiting the fifth house usually herald a period of pleasure and creativity - and they do in part this June - but because of the challenging nature of the alignments, there looks to be some trouble in paradise. Admittedly, these alignments involving the outer planets, Uranus and Pluto, may have more to do with the reaching of crunch points in already conflict-ridden parts of the globe, but whenever I see these planets in residence, I go very carefully indeed.
The period between the 1st and 17th is the one in which to go carefully - other people will also be responding to these tough influences, so a little bit of understanding and a lot of patience will go a long way. If a situation in your life reaches crunch point, or an out of the blue event upsets your schedule and your future plans, do your best to see the alternative routes that are now open to you. By contrast, if you have been mulling over making a big life change, these alignments will help you find the courage and the energy with which to make it happen.
Mars jets into the seventh house of relating on the 23rd perking up your sex and/or your social life. However, not for nothing is Mars known as the battle lord of the planets, so don’t underestimate your competitors or even a loved one’s ability to throw his/her weight around. Minor battles become full scale wars with Mars in this position. But at least you won’t be saying that life is dull!
1st July 2004 - 31st July 2004 You may be one of the most independent signs of the zodiac but your life appears to be in other people’s hands during July. Now, this may manifest simply as a month when you have many social engagements, or a time when other people’s needs and wants come before yours, but for many Aquarians the next few weeks are all about love, marriage and the importance of relationships to your overall happiness and prosperity.
To begin with, the emphasis is on work and working relationships - the full moon of the 2nd highlights the pluses and minuses to a job, and it may also bring any simmering resentments to the surface. Of course, the intention here is to resolve any problems and so improve the health of your working relationships. And speaking of health! This full moon will also reveal any weaknesses in the system, and, if you have any lingering worries, you should use the impetus of the full moon to sort them out. You may be working too hard, or carrying too many responsibilities: if so, this is the moment to right the balance. The sun-Saturn conjunction of the 8th helps you see where you have overstepped your limits!
Mars and Mercury will transit the seventh house of relationships throughout the month, and, on the 22nd they will be joined by the sun - hence the earlier reference to your life being in other people’s hands. Mars may well pep up your sex life and bring any slumbering romances to life, but it will also expose any competitors or enemies. Especially between the 10th and 17th, you’ll need to double check information, and you need to be a little more discerning when it comes to trusting others. Romance can blossom in such an astro-climate, but, as you know, what goes up must come down!
The month ends on another full moon note - this time in your very own sign. Endings and beginnings are the hallmarks of a full moon, making the weekend of the 31st a time to celebrate happy unions and to give a good send off to those that have gone past their sell-by date.
1st August 2004 - 31st August 2004 Every year at this time, the sun transits the area of relationships, and while you do not always fall in love or break up with a partner in August, this is nonetheless a period when relationship issues of one sort or another arise. Venus, by the way, will be transiting this same area next month, so the work you put in now could pay off handsomely in September.
Learning to live with people and accommodating others’ needs and feelings isn’t easy but, get it right, and life runs along smoother castors. So, from the 1st of the month, aim to please, and you’ll be pleased you did! Indeed, the weekend of the 1st is a crucial one for your love life, especially if you have a late January or early February birthday: at this time feelings will be running high and the climate will be right for sudden and compelling moves. Out of the blue proposals and the thunderbolt of love are reflective of this astro-scape, as are angry scenes and drama-laced exits. By the 12th, harmony takes over from angst, making the period between then and the 17th one of the most fruitful in terms of romance, marriage and partnerships of all kinds.
Ruler, Uranus, is in pride of place, both at the beginning of the month and the end. This planet is currently influencing the area of self-worth, so finances could be in a state of flux and you may be unsure as to who values you and in what you should place your trust. To a certain extent you just have to ride out the storm of Uranus: when it is over, you’ll be in a new and improved financial cycle, and you’ll know where you stand with others and where your allegiance should be placed. Late January birthdays are in the forefront of this trend this month. I should also mention that this latter period of August does not auger well for global stability, so do your bit by remaining cool and calm while others fall apart at the seams.
1st September 2004 - 30th September 2004 As soon as the month gets going, might I suggest that you get moving. By this I mean, facing those bogies that are interfering with your sleep. Don't wait for an organization to inform you of something you already know, contact the organization to discuss the best solution; likewise, if someone appears to be drifting away from you or is being anything but loving and cooperative, open a dialogue - and in a non-threatening way. (I'll come to romance and relationships shortly.)
Finances look to be the hottest topic this month. The alignments that prevail between the 7th and 22nd will bring issues to crunch-point, and although it is possible that you'll receive a windfall or make a financial killing at this time, any anomalies or imbalances in your accounts will have to be dealt with, and radical actions taken. On the one hand, September is the month to make a large investment, whether in terms of a property or a business venture, yet it is equally likely that there will be large drains on your finances and stressful moments money-wise. If you are coming out of a marriage or leaving a job/business partnership, expect your opposite number to be holding most of the cards, and for at least that 7th -22nd period endeavour to keep the negotiations friendly. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar!
The one big plus for you this month is Venus's transit of the 7th house of relationships (6th September - 3rd October). Already, some Aquarians may have set a wedding date in September or are planning to announce their engagement - perfect timing, may I say - while others will be pleasantly surprised by this month's romantic developments. And even if your prince or princess fails to show, someone somewhere will show you how much he/she loves or admires you. Long-established relationships could experience a second honeymoon and partners who have been crabby or disinterested may do a complete U-turn.
As above, so below is one of astrology's great axioms, and it came to mind as I prepared my September's stars for you. This is one of those months - and there have been others this year, March, June and August, for instance - when difficult configurations hold sway, and we in turn can expect to encounter challenges and suffer set-backs. Of course, it's all for our own good - like small children, humanity learns by its mistakes - but with a little preparation and a lot more awareness we can turn a potential drama into a success story. Food for thought as we await the vicissitudes of Pluto, Uranus et al.
1st October 2004 - 31st October 2004 This is a month of going places. Planets clustered in the area of far horizons auger great steps, whether these are taken in a metaphorical sense or in the literal way of travel. And even if you're not boarding a boat, train or plane, you may well be scouring through travel brochures and making plans for holidays and trips in the coming months.
Of course, the ninth house is not just about expanding your global horizons, but making your life bigger and better. Thus, some Aquarians could receive offers and invitations that will widen their professional scope, while others will meet people, or have discussions with individuals/organizations, that will broaden their outlook. I also believe that a powerful ninth house emphasis, like this, enables us to gain perspective on all aspects of our lives, leading to a sense of expansion and liberation. And, if you have become bogged down with a situation - you cannot see the wood for the trees - this astro-scape will make a huge and positive difference.
On balance October is a far, far better month than September, although it does contain two eclipses, which suggest a degree of conflict and confusion. While the solar eclipse of the 14th could bring someone new into your life and/or show you a new dimension to a long-standing situation, the total lunar eclipse of the 28th could close a large chapter of life, especially if you have a late January or early February birthday. Also, around the 13th and 20th, you may have a tough meeting with someone, possibly an employer or authority figure, or you may find that you have overstepped your limits somehow.
Nevertheless, this is one of 2004's better months, and, as I said at the start, one in which you could go far.
1st November 2004 - 30th November 2004 Planets in the areas of far horizons and life direction encourage you to look beyond your own back yard for answers and inspiration. On the one hand, November could find you travelling far and wide, and, on the other, you could be looking at your future and wondering how best to fulfil your dreams, or at least get a little more out of life. We all have a tendency to get caught up with routine and bogged down with the minutia of life, so you have a great opportunity now to make positive changes. All you need is courage and determination.
Saturn and Uranus share the honours this month, by which I mean these two planets are involved in the most dynamic alignments. Saturn is currently transiting the area of work and well-being so this planet's input on or near the 7th and 20th could reveal the weaknesses in various systems, whether we're talking technology, working projects or health. Saturn also has the capacity to set the seal on plans and endeavours, so these same dates could coincide with the signing of a contract or some such moment of closure. Uranus is focused on finances so the weekend of the 6th and the period between the 23rd and 27th is one to take care with your credit card and to consider alternative sources of funding. This latter period of November is anything but plain sailing, and while the alignments could coincide with break-throughs in deadlocked situations and bring about surprise offers and invitations, this is probably not the time to tell people where they can put their jobs!
Mercury goes into reverse thrust on the 30th, all set to give us a December of mis-communications - do your best to tie up loose ends before then.
1st December 2004 - 31st December 2004 This is one of the most happening months of 2004. Venus and Mars are spicing up the zone of career and life goals while a series of dynamic aspects to ruler, Uranus, and Pluto will set about changing the shape of a friendship or working association. And, of course, 'tis the season to be jolly - Christmas festivities and all that - so there will hardly be a dull day in the next thirty-one.
But, let's get the trouble spots over with first. Pluto, Uranus and retrograde Mercury (1st - 20th) represent the agents of change and inconvenience, and right from the start of December you will need to be patient with bureaucratic processes and prepared to meet with delays and general hassles regarding travel and arrangements. Of course, you can reach your objectives under retrograde Mercury but it will take you longer and there will tend to be more anxieties and conundrums regarding the whole business of communications. Since Uranus is in the financial zone, aspects to this planet on or near the 19th and 31st could create a cash-flow crisis or some other unexpected development of a monetary nature: you may also find you are more prone to impulse purchases (so watch yourself in the sales) and more likely to forget the true state of your bank account. Pluto, on the other hand, is active between the 7th and 14th: under Pluto secrets emerge, and in general people seem to be more confrontational and less accommodating. During this period in particular you will need to be a little more diplomatic with superiors and people you want to keep in your camp, and if a situation backfires on you or you meet with some kind of obstacle, avoid making an irrevocable move until you know the full story. (With retrograde Mercury information is suspect, and you may have to wait until the first week of January before you truly know what's what.)
The Christmas weekend takes place under a full moon, so emotions will be full-blown - the good is fabulous, and the bad, well, there's Christmas next year! As for New Year's Eve, a Mars-Uranus square ensures an cracker of a celebration, and, perhaps, a measure of controversy and confusion.
1st July 2004 - 31st July 2004 You may be one of the most independent signs of the zodiac but your life appears to be in other people's hands during July. Now, this may manifest simply as a month when you have many social engagements, or a time when other people's needs and wants come before yours, but for many Aquarians the next few weeks are all about love, marriage and the importance of relationships to your overall happiness and prosperity.
To begin with, the emphasis is on work and working relationships. the full moon of the 2nd highlights the pluses and minuses to a job, and it may also bring any simmering resentments to the surface. Of course, the intention here is to resolve any problems and so improve the health of your working relationships. And speaking of health. This full moon will also reveal any weaknesses in the system, and, if you have any lingering worries, you should use the impetus of the full moon to sort them out. You may be working too hard, or carrying too many responsibilities: if so, this is the moment to right the balance. The sun-Saturn conjunction of the 8th helps you see where you have overstepped your limits.
Mars and Mercury will transit the seventh house of relationships throughout the month, and, on the 22nd they will be joined by the sun - hence the earlier reference to your life being in other people's hands. Mars may well pep up your sex life and bring any slumbering romances to life, but it will also expose any competitors or enemies. Especially between the 10th and 17th, you'll need to double check information, and you need to be a little more discerning when it comes to trusting others. Romance can blossom in such an astro-climate, but, as you know, what goes up must come down.
The month ends on another full moon note - this time in your very own sign. Endings and beginnings are the hallmarks of a full moon, making the weekend of the 31st a time to celebrate happy unions and to give a good send off to those that have gone past their sell-by date.
1st January 2005 - 31st January 2005 As 2005 comes in, the sun is in its usual position in the subterranean depths of the twelfth house, so your astrologer would recommend that you take it easy and forget all about being the life and soul of the party. And, much the same advice applies to the following two weeks - perfect, of course, if you're headed off on a holiday retreat but not so brilliant if you have to return to the cut and thrust of the rat race.
However, although the sun may be in hibernation, Venus, Mercury and Mars are definitely not: between the 31st December and 6th January these planets are forging dynamic angles to Uranus and Pluto, so something seems set to awaken you to a new year and a whole new ball game. Friendships, working associations and finances are in the frame here, so while some Aquarians will be finding fabulous bargains in the sales, others will be looking at the grim reality of their bank/credit-card statements and planning a huge economy drive. Likewise, while New Year's Eve brings proposals and loving moments for some Aquarians, others may realize that a love affair is not the glistening jewel it once was... However, the real message of these stirring alignments is that life in tandem with the seasons must change, and some things must fall by the wayside in preparation for the new to come. Endings and beginnings are redolent in this New Year's alignments.
On the 19th, the sun enters your own sign, bringing with it renewed vitality and clarity - and just in time since Saturn and Pluto still have work to do. This latter part of January is a time when you can process the events of earlier in the month and fulfil plans created then; it is also a time when hidden issues come to light, necessitating radical action. The full moon of the 25th cuts across the relationship axis, helping you draw conclusions about a romantic or working association, whether this implies understandings are made or endings are accomplished. Nevertheless, with Venus entering your sign on 2nd February, and a raft of promising alignments to come, compensation for any difficulties or losses is on its way.
1st February 2005 - 28th February 2005 Birthday month for many Aquarians, and for once the stars are in party mood. And if nothing else February's alignments are a vast improvement on January's planetary offerings.
Venus is largely responsible for an upbeat February. This beautiful planet will be gracing your sign from the 2nd, and helping you make the most of your assets and your opportunities. Love, peace and harmony are Venus's gifts to humanity, so although I cannot promise you twenty-eight days of perfect bliss, there should be at least one event that makes you feel glad to be alive, and for many Water-bearers this one event could have distinctly romantic overtones. Weddings, engagements and positive romantic developments are top of the list of my predictions for Aquarius: and if you've lost interest in love and couldn't give a damn about the Valentine's razzmatazz, you may find that your approval rating goes up with employers, colleagues, friends or family. This is also a month to invest in your charms and talents: a new outfit or hair-do for some, a more serious make-over for others. Whatever you do, don't underrate the power of Venus to up your success and happiness quota. This is not the month to stay home alone.
Neptune is, as usual, both a blessing and a curse. This water-world planet will be centre-stage on the 1st, 8th, 14th and 21st, and if I were you, I'd consider the whole of February to be under Neptune's mystical influence. On a good day Neptune inspires us to take a leap of faith: it adds a huge spiritual dimension to life, even presiding over miracles and magic moments. However, Neptune's underbelly is not so laudable, generating chaos, causing us to have moments of pure self-delusion, and ripping the carpet out from beneath our feet. So, have your bullshot meter on at all times during February!
The last eight days of the month have an unpredictable aura to them. Technically, the area of money is in the frame here, and while there could be unexpected boosts to your income, there could also be some unanticipated expenditure, even a highly inconvenient financial blip. And although February is one of the better months of 2005, the period between the 20th and 28th is anything but calm and plain sailing.
1st March 2005 - 31st March 2005 The second house of self-worth is the setting for much of this month's astrological activity. On the one hand, March could bring financial matters to the fore and, on the other, you may find that many of the key events of the month centre on your sense of self-worth. As a rule of thumb, every time you feel you have been short-changed, 'dissed' or treated unfairly, the question to ask yourself is - what did I do, or not do, to bring about this scenario? This is not beating yourself up, but simply looking for the clues that will lead you to an epiphany about how to get what you actually want! So much of what we see as luck and good fortune is to do with our own inner conviction that good things can happen, and to us! The sense that we are rich in life is the key to manifesting riches of one sort or another.
But, psycho-babble over, March may well produce the occasional financial hiccup, whether you have forgotten to pay a bill, or someone withholds money, fails to honour a contract or generally messes you about. Pluto's brand of confrontation and transformation will help you face up to a situation that is not doing you any favours: it will encourage you make a bold financial move - the purchase of a house, perhaps, or some other long-term monetary investment - and it will show you where you have run out of road. And while I have emphasized the monetary aspect to the astrology here, this same trend could be apparent in your relationships - romantic and otherwise. Venus's transit of your sign last month could have brought a new love into your life, or changed the status quo in an established relationship, thus as Venus makes her way through the second house, you can either make a new relationship stronger and more permanent, or you can consolidate plans that were set in motion in February. All in all, March is a month to build and create solid structures.
The 20th is the beginning of a whole new season: not only is this the Vernal Equinox (the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of autumn in the Southern) but Mars, the planet of action and desire, enters your sign. The signal to get up and go is sounded here, whether you suddenly get the bit between your teeth and tackle those things that have been languishing on the back burner, whether you finally lose patience with someone, or whether the travel bug bites you big time. Somewhat annoyingly, travel and communications buff, Mercury, chooses to turn retrograde on the same day, so journeys and plans may start to suffer from the one-step-forward- and-two-back syndrome. A stay-at-home Easter could therefore be a simpler solution.
1st April 2005 - 30th April 2005 April opens with the area of travel and communications in the frame - and, thanks to Jupiter's expansive influence you could be going a long, long way. Jupiter breeds joy, optimism and success, yet you also have to be careful not to exceed the budget or overstep the mark. So far, so good. The bad news is that Mercury will be in reverse gear till 12th so getting from A to B could prove to be the proverbial magical mystery tour. Check you have all your luggage, tickets, passports and the like before you set off for distant pastures; nevertheless, you should be able to see the funny side of any unscheduled and time-consuming excursions.
The eclipse of the 8th injects a more serious note into the proceedings. Eclipses should always be taken seriously, even if the events they inspire are great and good, and since they can make their presence felt up to three months before and after the date itself, it is entirely possible that already you have felt the winds of change around and about you. Given that travel and communications are the areas under focus here, a journey, meeting or item of information could be the factor that brings about an important change in your life. On a more mundane note, should you feel the need to raise an objection or raise some funds, now is the time to make your moves. Also, a sibling or neighbour could be causing you concern and, being the humanitarian Aquarian that you are, you could find yourself offering your services in some way.
Saturn is another factor to take into consideration in early April. This planet has been focusing his school-masterly influence on work and lifestyle, so this could prove to be a pivotal period in regard to your job and the routine round. In this context, the second eclipse of the month (24th), focusing as it does on your life-direction, could set the stage for a major career shift. Certainly, if you are debating whether or not your present occupation is sufficiently fulfilling or should you feel in need of a new challenge, April's astro-scape should give you more than a nudge in the right direction.
Again, I'm tempted to say, so far so good. You see, while Saturn and eclipses tend to be very definite in their expression, there are other planetary factors that are anything but clear and defined. Can we mention Neptune here? On the 13th and 30th, Neptune in your sign is activated, giving rise to doubts, confusion and all manner of mystery. While you should allow yourself to feel uplifted and to act in a selfless and loving way, you should keep a watchful eye on facts versus fiction.
All in all, the theme of communications is a powerful one for April. Over the past year or so, certain aspects of your existence may well have undergone dramatic changes. Some people have disappeared from your life and new relationships have blossomed; some activities and interests that were once the priority are no longer a priority. It is very important for Aquarians to feel that they are part of a group so making contact with an old friend, especially around 11th-14th, will have a rejuvenating effect on you. Being an air sign, you thrive on communication, so, if you've been delaying picking up the phone, writing that text message or e-mail, now is the time to send something positive into the cosmos. Who knows where it might lead!
1st May 2005 - 31st May 2005 The sun's annual passage through the base of your chart sets a new year-long cycle in motion: it is as if you are returning to base, conducting a post-mortem, then starting off once more, ready to put down the foundations of new enterprises and new regimes. On a more practical note, early to mid-May becomes a time when family matters are to the fore and a considerable amount of your energy may be focused on beautifying the home, rectifying some domestic wrongs, and, in some cases, moving house.
This theme of fresh starts is reflected by the new moon of the 8th, however, with a Mercury-Saturn square the day before, a painful realization or some very hard work could be required before you step into the new. This first weekend of the month is a mixture of the weird and the wonderful, the miraculous and the miserable: you could find yourself in deep and meaningful discussions with people in your inner circle, reminiscing over old times or dreaming about the future - maybe all three. However, if you suffer a disappointment at this time, do your best to put it in the context of your whole life, thereby minimising its significance. You will live to fight another day!
On the 10th Venus' entry into the fifth house brings back that loving feeling and makes you feel more creative and fun-loving. Indeed, with so much activity in this area it is possible that a new relationship blossoms or that a long-standing partnership rediscovers its magic. And for the remainder of the month there could be some very interesting developments in your love life. Ruler, Uranus, is centre stage during the 12th - 19th, and since the zone of finance and self-worth is in the frame there could be some sudden and surprising incidents linked to money and/or an association. Especially on the 15th and 19th emotions will be running high, so if you feel like throwing a wobbly, make sure you don't have your best china in your hand at the time. Then again Uranus could inspire a sudden and irresistible attraction... Whatever happens, Uranus is awakening feelings you never knew existed.
This theme of awakenings is present throughout the latter part of the month: feelings of love and friendship become particularly intense under the full moon of the 23rd, and with the sun joining the party in the zone of romance, fuel will surely be added to the fire already smouldering. There may be some conflict here - a clash between your lover and friends - or perhaps a friendship deepens into something more personal. Just when you thought it couldn't get any hotter, Venus and Pluto oppose each other on the 29th... This could fan those flames to a roaring inferno or act as a total firebreak since Pluto is a planet which knows no half-measures. If you weren't quite sure where you stood as May came waltzing in, the future should now be clear.
1st June 2005 - 30th June 2005 The sun is injecting fun into life this month, so prepare to enjoy. The fifth house of creative expression is in the spotlight, making June a peak period for your entrepreneurial talents - indeed great new things can come into being now. While this area of the horoscope has much to do with pregnancy and children, you do not always give birth literally during a fifth house transit or spend most of your time dealing with offspring and the younger generation, but your desire to express your unique self and to nurture projects and relationships is strong. So too is the attraction for more competitive activities: indeed you could be on a winning streak now. Romance could also be to the fore, whether you are injecting romance into a long-standing relationship or flirting to seriously good effect. What you may have to curb, however, is a tendency to over-spend or to be too forceful in your desires and intentions - taking the spotlight is one thing, riding roughshod over companions and colleagues is quite another
Now, if all this sounds too good to be true, you'd be right. Although there are definite benefits to June's astro-scape, there are also some challenging alignments involving our friends, Uranus and Pluto. Between the 1st and 15th these two planets alternately upset and re-arrange your plans - a trend you'll be able to see on the world's stage every bit as much as in your own life. Learning to live and let live is one way of negotiating this tricky passage, accepting when something is well and truly over is another. And if by any chance you are seriously destabilized by the events of early to mid June, you may find the reasons lie in decisions and actions taken towards the end of last year.
Work is also in the frame this month: Opportunities could come your way around the 10th, particularly if you work in the field of education, and there could even be a pay rise on offer. By the 21st you will probably be more firmly focused on work than play, although work itself could bring pleasure into your life. Thanks to Jupiter's influence on or near the 26th you could find yourself travelling further a-field: over the past few months this planet has been encouraging you to spread your wings a little and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar territory. And if you've been thinking about starting a new diet or changing your lifestyle in some way, these planetary alignments will help you find the necessary self-discipline to stick to whatever you undertake. All in all Aquarius, a win-win situation. Enjoy!
1st July 2005 - 31st July 2005 July's main event is the arrival, on the 16th, of Saturn in the area of love and relating. Venus and Mercury will be there already, so if you have been complaining that nothing changes where your love life is concerned, be prepared to eat your words. But while relationships are the big item for July, the sun's passage through the zone of work and well-being also revitalizes you, helping you make progress job-wise and encouraging you to look and feel your best. Organization and preparation play a big part in your future success story, so if you do nothing else in July, take the time to declutter your life and tie up loose ends, particularly regarding paper-work.
During the first half of the month Neptune is a key player: on the plus side, you can reveal your artistic and spiritual side but on the downside the trend for chaos and confusion will be high. Especially during the week of the 11th, put facts before fantasy and rumour, and if you receive some perplexing information, don't make a move until you've checked out the matter thoroughly. Neptune's connection to both Venus and Mercury at this time will make you more sensitive to others, and some Aquarians could fall deeply in love or find themselves acting in a selfless fashion.
But on to Saturn. Saturn's purpose in our lives is to strengthen our weaknesses and remind us that duty and responsibility are as much a part of life as love and pleasure. With this instructive planet now entering the relationship zone other people will become your teachers. Over the next two years some Aquarians will marry thanks to Saturn's influence, while others will feel their partner is the source of most of life's problems. It is possible that the January Aquarians will encounter these themes by the end of this July: if so, you'll know that patience and understanding are required of you, and that your love is being tested. And if you are marrying, you will be doing so at the perfect time. Not that romantic and marital relationships are the only ones in the frame: these themes also apply to business and working associations.
On the 23rd, Mercury turns retrograde, and if you've read my column before you'll know this means communications and travel become a proverbial nightmare. Hopefully, you will be able to cut down your commitments by the end of the month and begin to take life a little more slowly but if you have a packed schedule, prepare to be very patient and have some contingency plans up your sleeve.
1st August 2005 - 31st August 2005 If you like a good mystery, you'll love August. On the other hand, if you were hoping to set plans in cement and put together an intricate arrangement, you're going to have your time cut out. Grand Illusionist, Neptune, is in control of this month's cosmic affairs, which means it's a great time to dip your toes in the waters of fantasy but the worst time to separate fact from fiction. With the sun, Mercury and Saturn gracing the seventh house, a relationship could be the source of many of August's magical and mysterious developments, and in general this is a period when other people's lives impact powerfully on yours.
In an ideal world, you would use this laid-back astro-scape to get away from it all but if you have to continue with routine and the rat-race put yourself in a holding pattern and don't expect events and other people to adhere to your timetable and expectations. The periods of the 2nd - 8th and 23rd - 28th are the ones to watch for dis-information, delays and detours: the period of the 14th - 17th is the one to look to when it comes to uplifting moments. The 19th sees the only full moon in your sign this year, and like all full moons it marks both an ending and a beginning, first and foremost in regard to relationships. You are empowered by this full moon, so it will be no coincidence if you suddenly reach an important decision or become aware of what is truly in your heart.
Mars has just begin its transit of the base of your chart - there will be six months to discover what this dynamic planet can do for property and family affairs, but if you have a January birthday, late July and early August could see much activity on the home front, if not a degree of aggravation. If during the last week of August a situation arises that throws one or more of your plans into disarray, keep your cool, because with Neptune once again presiding over life and love, only part of the picture is being revealed. As I said at the beginning of your August stars, if you like a good mystery, you'll love this month.
1st September 2005 - 30th September 2005 The eighth house of the solar chart is a complex area. On the one hand, when planets transit this zone finances are thrust into the forefront of life, sometimes with great results since settlements can be reached and new financial structures can be put in place yet, on the other, relationships may go through a difficult phase because buried, and often uncomfortable, issues are brought to the surface, which can affect the balance and harmony of close personal and business associations. Not only is the eighth house centre stage for you this month, but many of the most important alignments have a similar effect of bringing secrets to light and exposing problems. So, on the 1st September, take a deep breath and prepare to jump in the deep end!
Uranus, your ruler, is in the ascendant for the first ten days, after which Pluto takes over. In other words, life veers from the sublime to the surreal. My advice would be to tread on eggshells and not to push already delicate situations over the edge. People will not be in the mood to compromise in September and unless you can do without that person, that job or that possession, avoid responding to your outraged instincts! And should a situation come to an end this month, despite your efforts to keep it going, you will simply have to move on. And even if you do feel that life hasn't been exactly a bed of roses for you, when you consider what these alignments may do to upset other people's hopes and dreams, you may find you are not that badly off.
Until the 11th Venus will be moving through the area of far horizons and from the 22nd the sun will follow, so there is also an accent on foreign places and distant objectives. Indeed, the joy of September is to be found in pursuing activities that provide distance and perspective. A romance could be sparked in a place far from home or on a journey, and a relationship can be improved by brushing aside petty grievances and looking at recent incidents in the context of the bigger picture. After the 18th, life lightens and brightens: indeed your horizons open up in unusual and unexpected ways.
1st October 2005 - 30th October 2005 Distant shores and far horizons are in the frame this month, so some of you may be lucky enough to be heading off on exciting journeys abroad, while others will be expanding your knowledge by exploring new avenues through higher education. Those of you with a more philosophical bent may even be going on a spiritual journey of some kind. The solar eclipse on the 3rd highlights this ninth house of the horoscope, so whatever new ventures you undertake now promise to expand your life horizons. Indeed, this would be a propitious time to begin a study course or consider ways in which you can increase your skills and therefore broaden your career palette. However, there are two eclipses in October, and the second on the 17th could be the more significant. This lunar eclipse points to the end of a journey, first and foremost in a figurative sense, and with a change of sign for Jupiter just over a week later, it could be a case of: as-one-door-opens-another-closes. An event in someone else's life could necessitate your taking a trip - and quite some distance - or news reaching you could have far-reaching consequences. Either way, October's astrological theme appears to be stretching yourself and going the distance for someone or something.
On the 26th Jupiter reaches the highest point in your solar chart - the area of career and aspirations. Thus, for the next twelve months opportunities will present themselves for you to achieve the kind of success you have long sought after: we could be talking about job promotion, career break-throughs, even fame, and certainly an increase in your desire to be successful in your chosen career. There could be material and financial increase too, although it will be essential for you to balance your need for worldly success with things of the mind and spirit.
Uranus, your ruling planet has been dishing out nasty surprises to many of us over the past few months, but on the 30th you are more likely to receive a bouquet rather than a brickbat! Indeed, as the month ends, it seems you will have ended an old pattern of existence and are more than ready to venture forth into new and unfamiliar territory.
1st November 2005 - 30th November 2005 November puts the sun, along with Jupiter, right at the top of your solar chart, thus illuminating the most ambitious and driven part of your being. If it were left to these 'planets' alone, you could well achieve a life-objective at this time, especially should you have a January birthday. However, Saturn, Mars and Neptune are also in the frame, casting a more complex light on your affairs. To be more specific between the 1st and 14th a grand configuration will be in place in the four angular houses of the horoscope, so one event - perhaps an unexpected and seemingly chance event - could affect your whole life. My advice for this first half of November would be to consider that you are moving through a very foggy landscape - you cannot clearly see the way forward and situations will be deceptive - therefore, avoid making a life-time commitment or indeed making finite statements of any kind. It may take until mid-December before you are in a position to really know what you want and what the facts of the situation are.
During the first half of November Saturn in your house of partnerships will be forming a challenging aspect to both the sun and Mars suggesting a conflict between your desire for success and recognition - or a much-desired goal - and a relationship. You might feel that somebody is holding you back or preventing you from achieving your ambitions, leading to a sense of frustration and resentment. On the other hand, this aspect could also mean that an authority figure or an older person is bringing the necessary structure in your life to help you achieve success. Saturn is a two-edged sword: it rewards hard work done in the past, so you could now be reaping what you have sown many years before, yet it also ensures that mistakes are accounted for...
From the 24th the sun's passage through the eleventh house will encourage you to go out and socialise more, and to celebrate the spirit of friendship and collaboration. Aquarians do not like to feel hemmed in at the best of times and this should release much of the pressure on you, especially should you have been feeling pulled in too many directions at once. As November draws to a close, you should have a much clearer idea of what you want from life and of the changes you must make in order to achieve your ambitions.
1st December 2005 - 31st December 2005 Do not for a moment consider that December is going to be a dull and uneventful month - it's packed with dynamite aspects which will either light up your Christmas tree as never before or give you burn-out before you've even defrosted the turkey. With the sun in the area of creativity and collaboration until the 21st and Venus in your sign from the 15th, friends and lovers are sure to figure prominently in December's fiery offerings. Saturn keeps a low profile until the week of the 26th so in large part there is an up-tempo, optimistic feel to life.
Pluto has been a regular figure on December's landscape for several years so although there's nothing new here this planet is a force to be reckoned with, and if you have been in denial about anything Pluto will do his best to bring the situation to your attention. The period between the 13th and 20th is the most confrontational but also the most promising in terms of starting over. Should you meet anyone during this time you can be sure the relationship will prove transforming and if an individual or an organization makes a decision that fundamentally changes your direction, see it as a blessing not a curse. A working or romantic relationship could be put through a ring of fire mid-month so be careful of issuing threats and promises that are merely game-playing - people will take you at your word. And vice-versa, other people won't be joking.
Venus is always a blessing when she transits your sign, so although this is a brief two-week visit for now, it does come over the Christmas period and could therefore prove very timely in sparking a new romance and putting some sparkle on an old one! Indeed, this Christmas could turn out to be one of the most beautiful and memorable in years. I'm not sure whether I can say the same about New Year's Eve. Echoes of Saturn and a Mercury-Pluto conjunction welcome in 2006, so there's sure to be a lesson in there somewhere. A time, perhaps, to keep close to hearth and home.
1st January 2006 - 31st January 2006 Despite the first week of January being the time most people make a whole lot of promises to themselves about turning over a new leaf and fulfilling a handful of ambitions, you are in Neptune country, and therefore not at your most ambitious and vital. Until the 20th, the sun, Mercury and Venus will all be occupying the shrouded twelfth house, making you less clear in your own mind about what you want, and possibly causing you to feel anything but your physical and mental best. Ideally, you should be tucked away from the rat race and enjoying some holiday time, but if you must work and man your domestic ship, do at least try to get some early nights and take daily doses of vitamins and minerals intended to boost your immune system. Of course, your dream life could be riveting, and your hunches and insights right on the money. Nevertheless, you might be better waiting to act on those dreams and instincts until the sun enters your sign on the 20th.
The full moon of the 14th will highlight any weaknesses in the system. First and foremost this may expose any health problems, urging you to consider the merits of a new diet and exercise regime. On the other hand, if you've been ignoring a worry, hoping it would clear up all by itself, this full moon could make it clear than something should be done. Work is also in the mainframe at this time, and if you feel that a job has got on top of you and a change is well overdue, at least put some plans on paper with a view to carrying them out later in the month or before April.
The week of the 23rd is perhaps the most important week of the month. Saturn is gearing up to make a point, probably one earmarking where you have overstepped a boundary. Especially if you have a birthday during this week, you may feel surprisingly sad and out of sorts, a feeling that will pass as soon as the birthday is over! Then again, with Saturn opposing your sun you could have a real reason to complain. Relationships can be cemented in late January, yet they can also fall apart at the seams: basically it is a time of facing reality and putting fantasy where it belongs - in romantic novels. The new moon of the 29th is in your sign, and it heralds the beginning of a new personal cycle. Within the next two to four weeks, you can expect new input, whether this manifests in the shape of a person or a project.
1st February 2006 - 28th February 2006 The month opens with the sun, Mercury and Neptune in your sign so hopes and ambitions are high, yet there is also an element of unreality to cope with. This may manifest as your refusal to look honestly at a situation or something or someone could be sending confusing signals - there could even be some activities going on behind your back that you would do well to be aware of. Ideally, you should wait until the 13th at the earliest before committing your thoughts and feelings to action; also, until this time, you should ask yourself constantly whether what you are seeing, hearing and sensing is the real truth and nothing but the truth.
Neptune has been a big player in our astrology since mid-January, and especially if you have a 3rd-7th February birthday you may have experienced a degree of confusion about where your best interests lie and in what direction you should be focusing your talents and energies. 2006 may ultimately go down as a year when the strangest of things happened and you were forever saying: well, whoever would have believed that! Think of this period of the year as a time of transition: it's OK not to know exactly where you're headed; only when you get there will you be able to bring definition to one or more aspects of your life.
The full moon of the 13th cuts across the relationship axis, and coming shortly before Valentine's Day, indicates that a cycle for love and relating is at an end. A relationship may well have come full circle, so you are ready to move to a new level of loving and relating or you could be ready to cut those ties that bind. Either way, after this mid-point of the month, you will be a lot clearer about what you feel and who matters to you. Also, should you experience a disappointment around this time, do your best to put a good face on the situation because with Venus heading into your sign early next month, you are not yet in a space when romance, or, indeed, some other situations, can truly flourish.
On the 17th Mars moves into the pleasure zone of your horoscope, giving you more energy and helping you find more fun; also from this time, you will feel more confident about your self and more able to fight the good fight, so to speak. The following day, the sun heads into the zone of home and family, thereby beginning a four-week period of activity and change, principally focused on this area of life. And with Pluto making his first appearance of many at the end of the month, a major clean up and clear out exercise could be on the cards.
1st March 2006 - 31st March 2006 March is a pivotal month for the whole zodiac: it begins with a volatile sun-Uranus conjunction and ends on a total solar eclipse in Aries, and in between there are tough connections to Saturn and Pluto, not to mention a retrograde Mercury. Clearly, the next six to eight weeks are going to produce some powerful events on the world's stage, and we can expect to see some leadership changes, a reshuffle or two in the corridors of power, even a natural or not-so-natural disaster. And where travel and communications are concerned, we can forget about getting anywhere in a hurry and a straight line. Of course, tough alignments produce wonderful events too so don't rule out announcements of marriage in royal/celebrity circles and a major scientific or medical break-through.
Nonetheless, with Venus in your sign, there is at least one good reason to celebrate March. Venus adds a loving and lovely dimension to life, whether you respond to this planet by upping your profile and making the most of your appearance, or whether you find opportunities to sample the good things of life and bring more beauty and culture into your existence. Also, other people could make you feel quite the flavour of the month. Sometimes love comes in on a Venus transit and sometimes the desire for love, real love, makes you see that the relationship you have is distinctly lacking. The Venus-Saturn opposition of the 11th is all about facing realities - perfect for making those marital vows and for voting with your feet should you be less than happy with your love-life. The weekend of the 25th is another key period for romance and relationships, especially if you have a birthday on or near the 26th January or the 9th February. Neptune and Jupiter are centre-stage here, allowing you to fulfil a dream or realize where your dreams have failed you.
The lunar eclipse of the 14th occurs in your house of joint finances and brings out another key theme for March - money and possessions. An inheritance could finally find its way to you or an investment made several months ago could pay dividends. And even if March's dynamic alignments do not produce a financial fillip or bring a monetary issue to a head, it is the best month of the year to put borrowings and lendings under the microscope and to end unsatisfactory arrangements.
On the 20th, the sun's entry into the sign of Aries brings the area of travel and communication into the frame, and with the solar eclipse of the 29th here, it seems at the very least there will be some new thinking on an old subject. This eclipse points to a major change of outlook, whether ultimately this translates as a journey or meeting for business or pleasure or whether you experience an epiphany that inspires a whole new direction in which to funnel your energies. Don't be too impatient about this new direction, however, like many eclipses it requires a three-month time-line.
1st April 2006 - 30th April 2006 The month opens with Venus in your sign and a smile on your face. At least that's the theory. In practice March may have left you with rather a nasty taste in your mouth and it must be left to April's stars to take it away! Travel, communications and money are the three star areas of your chart, although relationships make more than a little impression during the last week. The sun's passage through one of the more dynamic zones of your horoscope means that this is a premium time for putting your ideas across to others and for extending yourself, either in the way of visiting people or offering your talents and time to individuals and organizations. Getting away for Easter might be on your agenda, but if you're going on the 13th, be aware that a full moon and a Mercury-Pluto square will not make for speed and ease.
The week of the 3rd finds Mars and Pluto in opposition, thus upping the potential for conflict and certainly confrontation. We will surely see some impressive results of escalating tension in the Middle East prior to Easter, and the Bush administration will have to be very careful how it plays events in the early to mid part of this month. While in the Christian World Easter is a time of celebration, for many other creeds it is simply business as usual. This opposition flanks the axis of creativity and collaboration, so while the surge of energy could transform a lacklustre business endeavour, or increase your fertility levels, should a project be truly unviable or tensions in a working or romantic relationship be too great, this same influence could inspire a parting of the ways.
From the 6th, Venus will be gracing the zone of self-worth helping you earn more money and make profitable financial moves. You may feel more like spending your hard-earned cash, and doing up a property could prove a fruitful exercise. Just how much Uranus and Pluto will add to your wealth and sense of security rather depends, and especially on or around the 18th and 30th, avoid risky manoeuvres.
And on to relationships. Saturn's journey through the seventh house of love and relating has no doubt given you cause to feel unsupported, even unloved, but in truth this planet is encouraging you to see that you can stand alone and that being in a bad relationship simply because it provides a sense of security is no way forward. This exercise in understanding may present itself again during the last week of April, especially for the 23rd-27th January birthday group, although this same Saturnian period is ideal for marrying or making a relationship more permanent.
1st May 2006 - 31st May 2006 At this time each year the sun passes through the sector of your chart related to the roots of life, and although you may think that New Year or your birthday signals the start of a whole new cycle, in reality May is the beginning of a fresh, year-long phase. Yes, you might have more domestic issues to deal with this month, and you could experience a strong desire to make-over your home or move house, but these are all symptoms of the need to acquire a new lease on life. There could be some impressive developments on the career front too, due to a series of oppositions to Jupiter, and if you have been wondering when might be the best time to launch a major job offensive, May's your month.
One of the most fascinating features of May's astrology is the presence of a Grand Cross - an alignment of four or more planets, made up of squares and oppositions, which is in play between the 4th and 15th. Without becoming too technical, when planets are in this tense alignment, they bring all manner of issues to crunch point, and there is a feeling of having reached a giant cross-roads. While this configuration will certainly present itself in the form of moral and political crises for world leaders, in our own lives we too must make some wise decisions in a confusing and pressurized climate. The four angles of your chart are the setting for this Grand Cross and since there is an element of fate and destiny here, you may either experience the fulfilment of a wish or an out of the blue event could achieve the same result. However, it must be said that since Saturn and Neptune are two of the planets contained in this configuration, there will be a cost to pay of some description, and this is not a period of time in which to throw your weight around or assume that other people do not have a degree of power over you.
But, lecture over! From the 19th the fifth house of creativity and pleasure takes centre stage, and during the following four to six weeks you could be taking a holiday or attending events that put you and your talents on display. The final ten days of May add ruler, Uranus, to the mix, indicating an unexpected window of opportunity, whether this manifests as a new romantic interest, the beginning of a new business or creative project or a surprise linked to the past.
I am sorry this forecast was delayed. The original sending was lost and both my webmaster and I have been in transit over the last 3 days. We have now added better facilities for updating forecasts.
1st June 2006 - 30th June 2006
June finds the sun and Mercury passing through the fifth house of pleasures and creative endeavours - it's the ideal time to take a break and/or to bring new things into being. Everyone has at least a spark of creativity within him or her, so if you do nothing else in June please give the muse within a chance to get out!
Uranus and Pluto will also be centre stage, and since many countries have major events planned for June, these alignments underscore the importance and celebratory nature of national occasions, yet they will surely produce some shocks and tremors too. On the 3rd, Mars enters the regal sign of Leo for a six-week transit and on the 18th this assertive planet hooks up to heavy-metal, Saturn - and at the same time as the sun-Pluto opposition. Mid-month, therefore, will be a time to watch for international dramas and the push-comes-to-shove syndrome. This conjunction falls on President Bush's Mercury-Pluto-Ascendant combo, and Tony Blair's South Node, so neither of them is in great shape in June, and there could be some serious threats to their tenures as leaders (as if there haven't been enough already).
Mars' transit of Leo means your house of relationships is more than alive and well: this planet can stir a slumbering sex-life and it could bring an ardent suitor to your side. Yet Mars is also a fairly aggressive influence so along with an admirer may come an opponent or competitor. Certainly, this is something to think about around the time of the Mars-Saturn conjunction (18th) - not the moment to play fast and loose with someone you need or to make a threat you do not intend to carry out. On the plus side, Mars and Saturn will put the glue in a relationship and you can be sure any commitments undertaken mid-month will be durable. Another point to this Mars transit is that you will find the energy with which to tackle major issues and endeavours, and if you have been too easy on someone or not actively behind a project, something looks set to get you moving and motoring.
The last week of June is a little gentler on the system, and with Venus entering your fellow air sign, Gemini, on the 24th harmony and love begin to make a welcome come-back.
1st July 2006 - 31st July 2006 Health and lifestyle are the focus of the sun’s energy this month, and you may find yourself thinking back to a time when you felt fitter, slimmer, or generally healthier. You could decide to make changes which will re-shape your life (and/or your body), and giving up any bad habits you have accumulated over the years can only be to your advantage. Mid-month, Venus will actually help you enjoy any diets or new fitness routines, so if you are normally loathe to start anything for fear of failing, this is less likely to happen during the latter half of July. This is also a month when attention paid to the small details of life, will pay dividends in the months to come.
After the planetary heat of June, July’s influences have much to recommend them. Even with Mercury in retrograde between the 4th and 29th, there are many benign alignments, and in tandem, national and international affairs may be more fruitful than fraught. However, the Grand Cross in fixed signs will be loosely in place, so it may seem as if more than one situation is refusing to budge, and there will be very little give when it comes to matters of law and enfo22:18:52 26/06/200622:18:52 26/06/2006rcement. Many of the world’s leading figures, including Tony Blair, George Bush, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have relentless Saturn and nebulous Neptune on key planets and points in their natal charts, and it remains a mystery to me as to why the gathering gloom has not yet resulted in a truly serous crisis, although leaked information from the enquiry into the death of Princess Diana must be sending seismic waves through Britain's corridors of power. With this in mind, events on or near the Mars-Neptune opposition of the 5th and the full moon in Capricorn of the 11th could precipitate a minor tsunami...Pluto also puts in a double appearance on the 14th so the first half of July looks to be the most scandal ridden and generally explosive.
Since you are a fixed sign you may feel the pressure of this Grand Cross quite personally, especially if you have an early February birthday. With Mars and Saturn - not the fluffiest of couples - in the relationship zone, it may seem as though you are constantly meeting with opposition or a wall of silence. Aside from looking in the mirror to see whether other people may have a perfectly good reason for treating you in this fashion, you should avoid forcing the pace - indeed using force of any description - and ploughing your energies into more profitable endeavours and associations. This trend may not disappear until the second half of August, so stoke up your reserves of humour and irony, and wait until the tide turns.
On the plus side, by the 6th Jupiter will have resumed direct motion in your career zone so you may find that you can make greater progress in the workplace. You may even receive unexpected cash rewards such as back pay, a bonus or tax rebate.
On the 22nd the sun arrives in the area of love and relating, and with a new moon therein on the 25th, a new chapter is opening for relationships. This final week of the month contains some of the best aspects of July, and it will do much to replenish your faith in life and your confidence in yourself.
1st August 2006 - 31st August 2006 Get ready to rock and roll! The sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn gather together in the seventh house of relationships causing your love life to soar to the moon or plummet to the bottom of the ocean - and even if you don't fall into either of these extreme Aquarian camps, other people, especially business or romantic partners, are likely to be the source of some interesting developments during August. Now, it may be that you have decided to marry this month or to set an endeavour on permanent tracks, in which case these complex alignments will make for a fascinating, if somewhat rocky, future; on the other hand, someone could enter your life who will rock it to its foundations. Almost every week of August contains a block-busting aspect so if you've been sitting on a simmering situation for many moons, prepare for lift-off. And speaking of moons... The full moon of the 9th is the only one in your sign this year, so while you are empowered and enlightened the signs are that a chapter of life, most probably one linked to a relationship, is reaching an end. However, the most important feature of August's stars is the applying opposition between Neptune in your sign and Saturn in the zone of relationships.
I have written a separate piece on the Saturn-Neptune opposition opposition, which becomes exact on the 31st of this month, so you'll have plenty of food for thought should you find yourself wondering why you're making little progress and running into troughs of low pressure at inappropriate intervals. August is always a strange (and often uneventful) month in politics, but given mid-July sparked another major conflict in the Middle East, under these relentless influences we can expect an intensifying of hostilities - not just in Lebanon - and very little progress on the diplomatic front. I'd like to believe that the Jupiter-Uranus trine, which is both ebullient and barrier-breaking, will provide a balance for this depressing opposition but we will have to wait until the very end of the month before we see what rabbits these two can pull out of the hat. The usual suspects - that's President Bush, and Prime Minister Blair - face a dark and difficult summer break, although with the world in such crisis, their individual careers and reputations pale into insignificance.
Those of your born on or near the 6th February will be particularly responsive to the Saturn-Neptune opposition, but whenever your birthday, you may find yourself veering from a position of knowledge and strength to one of doubt and fear. Neptune gives us our capacity to fall deeply in love and to feel spiritually at one with another person while Saturn encourages us to be realistic in our expectations and to put people to the test before we commit ourselves to them body and soul. Thus for many Aquarians August is all about putting love to the test. Of course, something else may be put to the test too - a friendship, your financial strategies or the family unit - but whatever forces you to take a very grown-up position, do nothing unless you are absolutely sure of your facts. Fortunately, the Jupiter-Uranus trine of the 29th inspires you to look outside the box for solutions, and it may also give you a truly lucky break.
1st September 2006 - 30th September 2006 When planets congregate in the eighth house, you have some digging and delving to do. Now, this process may relate to a relationship or to finances, but either way, the impulse behind it is to gain a greater sense of security and to ensure that other people appreciate your value. And since August was a tough month for many Aquarians, you may be ever keener to right the balance in terms of a relationship or your bank account. The trouble is with eighth house transits that fears - sometimes irrational fears - get in the way of good decision-making so do be sure that any defensive actions or irrevocable decisions are based on solid facts.
September, like August, is a big month in astrological terms. The Saturn-Neptune opposition is still dominating the heavens (and, if you need to gen up on this transit, please go to the article dedicated to it on the website...CLICK HERE) so we are still trying to get to grips with reality and watching some very weird situations unfold out there on the world's stage. There are two eclipses to take into account - neither of them total eclipses but nonetheless they can still pack a powerful punch. The first - a lunar eclipse in Pisces - appears on the 7th, and harks back to March in terms of eclipses and events, and the second, on the 22nd, is a solar eclipse in Virgo. Eclipses set in motion events that shape the destiny of nations, and also our own lives, should they fall on key planets and points in our charts, so anything that emerges on or around the time of an eclipse must be taken seriously. The period of the 11th - 17th looks to be the most impressive: transformational Pluto is centre stage, so we can expect some dramatic entrances and exits on the political scene and a rattling of sabres from the usual suspects. The sun's entry into Libra on the 23rd, followed by Venus on the 30th, heralds the beginning of a calmer period, and certainly one in which dialogue and debate pave the way for peace and concord.
Relationships may be the area to reap the benefits of the current influences or to take the strain. A liaison begun last month could move into a more committed phase, gaining depth and meaning, while another could start to fall apart at the seams now that the rush of sex and romance is fading. Also, should you have come to a decision to end a long-term relationship, much of September could be spent looking at the finances of the split and the division of joint property. It is worth remembering that full moons, especially when they are eclipsed (7th) up the emotional amps, so if you are engaged in discussions of any sort, prepare to compromise and not to react to every minor affront to your sensibilities! Also, should you start a romance in September, while there is every indication that your connection with this other person will be powerful and compelling, it may prove short-lived.
Where finances are concerned, this is a month to bring to an end any unsatisfactory spending habits and to restructure loans and credit-card debt, it is also a month when you may be able to complete on a property transaction or put your signature on a contract related to your income. The ball will be in other people's courts for the moment, so although you should not underrate your value, you will need to be subtle with your demands and ready to compromise.
From the 23rd, life becomes easier, and you should start to see the way ahead more clearly; indeed, as September fades out the prospect of travel and expanding personal horizons looms into view.
1st October 2006 - 31st October 2006 If you have taken your suitcases out of storage and are dusting off your passport, you'll be in good company for October is Aquarius' month for travel. And if you're not taking off on a flight to distant parts you could be taking off on a flight of fancy! Perhaps, more truthfully, you'll be looking towards the future and making plans that could open up your life in personal, professional and psychological terms. The last couple of months may well have grounded you, either in the sense of beaching your hopes and plans or forcing you to deal realistically, and possibly rather painfully, with one or more situations. But it's all change in this month of widening horizons.
Indeed, with the challenges of August and September behind us we can all look forward to better times in October. Until the 23rd there are almost no hard angles to the senior planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) to hamper us, which means global hostilities should lessen and the climate will be suitable for discussion, debate, new peace agreements and generally more co-operation between nations and leaders. Of course, having put my pen where my astrological judgement is it wouldn't surprise me to find that a simmering hot spot boils over and that there are further terrorist outrages. However it is unlikely...by the 22nd this little patch of perfection will be over: the sun, Mars and Venus head into Scorpio, Mercury is squared by Saturn(23rd) and Mercury turns retrograde (28th), all of which is likely to create a more intense atmosphere, and we may see some reversals of decisions, and certainly far less progress made in war-torn areas.
Since there are so few planetary obstacles to contend with for much of October, you need to get back in the saddle and pursue your objectives with gusto. Your efforts to succeed will be met with more than a degree of success, and, at the very least, you will prove to yourself and a few others that you have what it takes to get there eventually. Going out of familiar territory will prove advantageous, whether you make contact with people and organizations in far-off places or because you break a few time-worn habits. Romance will flourish on foreign shores or with someone who has ties to a different country, and you should not underrate the power of the written word to further the cause of love.
From the 23rd, however, life does acquire some little problems, and other people may prove less easy to deal with. There is a possibility that someone will actively stand in your way or that an association will go under a bit of a cloud. Knowing your enemies is crucial and also understanding there are limits to which those you love or work with are prepared to go for you, and some adjustment on your part may be necessary.
1st November 2006 - 30th November 2006 When planets gather at the top of your solar chart, as they do in November, it is usually your signal to get moving and motoring, but getting anywhere under a retrograde Mercury and a surfeit of Saturn is going to take time. Indeed, if you want to remain sane and serene throughout the month, you'd be better trimming your schedule and going back over old ground. November's stars will persuade you to re-think a plan, and in some cases, it may be obvious that a specific endeavour has come to an end. Regardless how inconvenient this may be, it is an opportunity to follow a path that is more worthy of your talents and interests, more worthy of you as a whole.
The big event this month is the entry of Jupiter into the sign it rules, Sagittarius. Clearly this is extremely good news for all Sagittarians, since the planet of increase will be transiting their sign until December 2007, but, hopefully, this planet's expansive nature will help us all take some impressive leaps of faith and encourage us to follow the spirit of religion as opposed to the dogma. Jupiter enters Sagittarius on the 24th, less than forty-eight hours after a sun-Jupiter conjunction in the final degree of Scorpio, and while this may prove to be a terrifically happy and successful period for those with birthdays on or near this date, new beginnings made at that time (whatever your sun sign) are auspicious indeed. We should look at global developments here too, whether we see magnanimous gestures on the part of leaders and governments or an aggressive show of power. Jupiter does not have the astrological stage to itself, however, and as if to remind us that the best things in life have to be earned and that all actions have consequences, Saturn makes regular appearances in November, and since Neptune is still in opposition to Saturn, especially around the 8th, 17th and 29th we will need to read between the lines when it comes to statements of national and international importance: the distance between reality and fabrication may never have been greater. While such influences would not be out of place with an announcement of a withdrawal of troops from Iraq, and a subsequent aura of failure and defeat hovering over the Bush administration - their chances of keeping the Senate Republican are slim - we may be looking also at a severe loss of face inspired by leaks and betrayal for Tony Blair upon whose Mid-heaven Neptune will be sitting.
With Saturn and Neptune flanking your relationship axis for much of 2006, you may have come up against people who have stood in your way professionally and certainly proved resistant to your charms. In personal and intimate relationships too you could have experienced rejection and hurt feelings, and to a certain extent the reason your ambitions may be frustrated now is that someone simply doesn't like you. Thus, a counter offensive might prove very successful, by which I mean you should take the time to lobby support for yourself and your aims, and instead of going on the attack be as gracious and accommodating with your opponents as possible. The new moon of the 21st is conjunct Jupiter - a sign of success if ever there was one - and whatever the events of this period something good lies at the base of them or a brilliant outcome awaits you in the future.
1st December 2006 - 31st December 2006 Each year at this time the sun squares Uranus and conjoins Pluto and often there are other alignments which add to this powerful mix, resulting in upheavals of a personal and global nature. Take the tsunami of 2004, for instance, which began as the moon clipped the degree of the sun-Pluto conjunction just prior to becoming full. Between the 1st and 22nd of December there will be no less than five planets in the sign of Sagittarius, so there is a concentration of 'energy' in one area of the cosmos: in a natal chart this often manifests as an individual who is a specialist, one who is very focused, and in terms of events there can be a last-straw effect to be observed. Put another way, people reach the end of their tethers and take extreme measures to prove their point. The period from the 15th to the 23rd is potentially the most explosive and we may see a lot of sabres being rattled by world leaders and another terror alert that interferes with our travel and our peace of mind. The year closes with war lord, Mars, and Master of Mystery, Neptune, in harmony, which is perfect for a champagne entry into 2007 but also a compassionate end to a year that has been full of strife and conflict.
December's passionate alignments are primarily focused on the area of collaborations and friendships. Aquarius is a sign synonymous with fellowship and team spirit but you may find your patience sorely stretched by colleagues and friends this month. On the plus side, the combined forces of Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto could produce a badly needed breakthrough with a creative enterprise, and bringing an endeavour into being may well forge unbreakable bonds with all those involved. On the down side, it may become obvious you cannot work with certain people and that a friendship has been tested beyond endurance. Aspects on or near the 3rd, 20th and 25th bring out the best and worst in life and love.
Intimate relationships are also under intense stars. On the 6th Saturn, currently lodged in the seventh house of partnership, turns retrograde, and with Venus transiting the closeted twelfth house from the 11th a relationship may turn somewhat sour. Nonetheless, before you pronounce the patient dead as a dodo, acquire some distance and perspective and you may well find it springs back to life in the New Year. In general relationships require careful handling this month, and should you meet someone new, don't rush your fences - if it's as good as it seems it won't fall to bits because you played hard to get, or because you took the time to find out who you're dealing with.
On the 31st go-getting Mars in the social sector of your horoscope hooks up to Neptune in your sign and the moon highlights the fifth house of pleasure and parties so this New Year's Eve should be spent in good company. And you never know, something other than a hearty rendering of auld lang syne may come out of it. Venus will be moving into your sign on the 4th of January...
1st January 2007 - 31st January 2007 Compared to December January's stars are a dream. Venus spends most of the month in Aquarius generally sweetening life for members of this sign and helping those of the opposite sign (Leo) find and celebrate love. The full moon of the 3rd is in Cancer and, like all full moons helps us close a chapter and begin a new one - something we tend to do anyway at the start of a new year., although of course, for Cancerians, this process is profoundly more marked. The Mars - Pluto conjunction of the 13th is the last in a series of aspects between the personal planets and Pluto, so events mid-month may well have a connection between those of the 8th-25th December. (Here in Great Britain the enquiry into the death of Princess Diana confirmed that it was an accident - not a white-wash surely? And on the same day (14th December) Prime Minister Tony Blair was questioned by police in the cash for honours enquiry - not an attempt to bury bad news, surely? - and in keeping with Pluto's principles of dark deeds, a nationwide police hunt began for serial killer of five young prostitutes, which resulted in an arrest just before Christmas.) On January 16th Mars enters Capricorn for a six-week transit - OK Cappies, it's time to get moving and motoring! And on the 20th the sun arrives in Aquarius. These last ten days of January present a complex and certainly variety-packed picture. In a nutshell the theme is chickens coming home to roost (courtesy Saturn Lord of Karma) so if we've spent too much money over Christmas we'll be paying the price at this time, and, in general, both on the world's stage and in our own lives we'll be looking at the cost of actions taken some time ago.
This is the time of year when you may feel like hibernating - it's not just the post Christmas effect, when we all wind down and contemplate the year ahead, but the fact that the sun is transiting the mystical twelfth house of your solar chart. You, more than most may be pausing to reflect on your inner, spiritual requirements as opposed to your more earthy, material needs. You may feel a strong desire to be of service and ready to offer help to those in need. Others, however, may be drawn to clandestine meetings, and in general you could be more vulnerable to romances with people who are unavailable. Especially during the last ten days, when Saturn is in the ascendant, you need to be extra careful with your actions - integrity is essential, and you will pay a high price for any thoughtless deeds. Jupiter and Uranus (your ruler) will square each other during this same period so you may experience a sudden change of heart or a flash of insight that sends you in a brand new direction.
1st February 2007 - 28th February 2007 With a full moon opening to February the theme of endings and beginnings is clearly stamped on our astrology. The moon is in Leo so members of this sign and those of Aquarius are in the front row when it comes to bringing to a close anything that has outlived its usefulness. Relationships for these two signs in particular appear to be at a crossroads, and with Valentine's Day coming in between a sun-Saturn opposition (10th) and a Venus Pluto square (20th), the scent of final straws is in the air! This is far from a light and frothy month, primarily due to the applying Saturn-Neptune opposition. (And if you want to know more about this important transit, please click on the article relating to it on the home page.) This opposition is exact on the 28th, and from the middle of February onwards we can expect to see events out on the world's stage reflecting its theme of sacrifice and redemption on the one hand, and the erosion of established structures on the other. Among those for whom the Saturn-Neptune bell tolls are: Fidel Castro (sun: 20 Aquarius), Tony Blair (Pluto: 20 Leo), George W. (Venus: 21 Leo) and Queen Elizabeth (Mars: 20 Aquarius and Neptune: 22 Leo).
Elaborating upon the above, you may experience a sense of disappointment or loss of faith around the 8th. The sun conjoins Neptune in your sign then and will accentuate any feelings of disillusionment, fear or powerlessness you have been feeling recently. Two days later, the sun-Saturn opposition could force you to take some kind of stand, which if you have not fully thought through may backfire on you. This is probably not the time to pit your wits or take up arms against a person who wields power in your life. Nor is it the time to throw up your arms and walk away from something without having really explored every avenue of resolution. By contrast the combination of Neptune and Saturn could bring a dream into reality, thus providing you with a sense of great good fortune. Either way, humility and magnanimity are qualities you should express throughout this powerful and challenging month.
1st March 2007 - 31st March 2007 What can you say about a month that has two eclipses in it, the first of which is not only a total lunar but conjunct/opposition lively Uranus, and the second, a partial solar, which squares Pluto? I'd say it's one of those periods in which matters that have been rumbling underground for some while erupt with the force of a minor volcano! March is a very cleansing month: think de-tox and de-clutter, whether in terms of our homes and our offices or in regard to our opinions and belief systems. The periods around the eclipses (3rd and 19th) are the most dynamic or disruptive, depending on your perspective, and the final ten days with its heavy concentration of Saturn are the most hard work. Could we have an announcement about a forthcoming wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton? Very possibly. And will events in the Middle East be the cause of even greater consternation? Almost certainly.
The eclipses highlight the financial axis Aquarius, so changes in your financial status can be expected, whether these come in the shape of a windfall, new monetary agreements or a bit of a cash-flow crisis. Uranus is your ruling planet therefore you are better equipped than most signs to deal with the element of surprise which is its trademark. New beginnings are not quite as scary for you as they are for other signs who crave constancy and security. Change for you equals excitement and makes you feel more alive, and, even though Uranus tends to turn worlds upside down at the drop of a hat, you can confidently expect to rise to the challenge. And while finances appear to be in the mainframe here there could be other developments that amount to a breath of spring sunshine.
All sounds very rosy so far, and indeed, the picture is pretty bright for you until the 19th when the solar eclipse, squaring Pluto could bring a secret into the open or expose a deep flaw in an endeavour or a relationship. A handful of days later Mars opposes Saturn then conjuncts Neptune, producing roadblocks of one sort or another. You find out who and what is made of the right stuff under these aspects so while it will be possible to formalize a business or romantic relationship these same influences could also produce alienation and disappointment. In the case of the latter, avoid making a snap decision and wait until we have turned the corner into April before committing actions to thought.
1st April 2007 - 30th April 2007 As you may have figured from my general April forecast the month does not get off to the smoothest of starts but it will get better, especially if you are prepared to let go of something that is clearly not working. Now, for some Aquarians this may mean accepting that an endeavour cannot continue but for most of the Water-bearer team the need to let go applies to an outdated attitude or strategy. During the first ten days of April the Saturn-Neptune opposition to which I have so often referred is brought into sharp focus by Venus, and on this occasion it may be that a member of the family or the home itself is the cause or means of a wake-up call. With Saturn and Neptune the balance has to be found between escapism, dreams and romance on the one hand, and effort and the material world on the other. While it would be appropriate to marry at this time thus combining romance (Neptune) with a legal commitment (Saturn) this planetary duo could also herald a disappointment in love, perhaps your seeing someone in his or her true colours. Just how much Saturn's turning direct on the 19th changes this forecast rather depends. On the plus side you may find that after some months in the doldrums a relationship springs back to life, and, on the other, that a partnership is no longer what it once was...
Finances are the focus for Uranus' brand of change and the unexpected - and this planet is in fine form at the beginning and end of the month. Yes, you could be lucky and win the lottery but realistically you need to get rid of over-heavy commitments and make a plan as to how you could survive without one source of income. Now, I'm not suggesting that you're going to lose your job or that an investment you've made is going to collapse but this area of your horoscope is in a state of flux this month and it would be better to err on the side of caution with your financial planning.
Last but not least, on the weekend of the 28th Venus and Jupiter preside over a happy event, and should you meet someone under these stars expect to be shaken, stirred and utterly entranced.
1st May 2007 - 31st May 2007 When the sun transits the base of your horoscope, as it does each year at this time, there is an extra focus on things of a domestic kind. You are also beginning a new twelve-month cycle in the sense of laying the foundation stones of new projects, which you hope will add quality to life and provide you with increased security and stability. And, yes, there could be family gatherings and events of note regarding senior and junior members of the clan. This year's transit, however, is different from those that have gone before since the Saturn-Neptune opposition (currently flanking the relationship axis) will be brought into high focus.
As I mentioned in my general forecast it is the week of the 7th that packs a powerful planetary punch, and while you may at last discover whether a matter has been resolved in your favour, this period of May is unlikely to be a proverbial walk in the park, especially if you have a birthday between the 6th and 12th of February. With Neptune in your sign, hopes and fears have influenced your actions far more than at other times in your life; when your efforts have failed the disappointment has affected your confidence and caused you to make further inappropriate moves. On the other hand, with Saturn tugging at the opposite end of the rope, it may just seem as though other people have prevented you from reaching your goals, and certainly proved difficult to live and work with. When slow-moving Saturn transits the relationship zone, there are always issues that need resolving, but patience and fortitude are also required. Relationships can actually grow stronger during a transit of Saturn if they are meant to stand the test of time. Any and all of these points are likely to be relevant during the period of the 5th - 15th May, although with the third and final pass of the Saturn-Neptune opposition still to come (end June) there may be further lessons in patience and stoicism to come.
The second half of May is altogether easier and, with go-getting Mars arriving in the communications sector of your solar chart, there could be plenty of travel on the menu and lots of lively discussions to come. Indeed, if yet another of your plans was derailed earlier in the month, you may find that new blue-prints for the future can be drawn up and an exciting prospect lies ahead of you.
1st June 2007 - 30th June 2007 There is much fun and pleasure to be had this month, and in your case this means spending time with friends or enjoying group endeavours of one kind or another. Your instinct is to be one of a crowd, and, with Jupiter transiting your friendship zone this year, you should be able to share some uplifting experiences with your fellow man. The 5th would be an excellent day for a gathering in which you can let your hair down, relax, laugh and generally feel good about life. Yes, I know it's a Tuesday, but why should fun be saved just for the weekend?
The sun-Uranus square of the 9th could produce some unexpected gains or drains on the financial front - a small lottery win, perhaps, or an event that necessitates your finding funds from nowhere! There could be surprise invitations and offers, and, in general, events come about in strange and sudden ways. By contrast the period of the 5th -15th is an excellent one during which to start a fresh project that allows you to make full use of your creative genius..
The Saturn-Neptune opposition makes its final pass on the 25th, on the plus side, bringing to an end the pattern of frustration and disappointment but, on the minus side, revealing one more hoop through which you must pass! Relationships have been the focus for this challenging transit, and, although, during the past year, some of you have married or met someone with whom you can share a long-term union, many Aquarians have been let down by partners or experienced hard times because of events in a partner's life. The latter part of June may once again put pressure on you to make a decision about a relationship: it could be a working association or an intimate partnership, but what you must do is ensure that you are seeing matters clearly, that you have all the facts: only then can you truly establish whether someone has been faithful or if a relationship is worth all the hassle and heartache.
1st July 2007 - 31st July 2007 The sun and new moon highlight your lifestyle zone this month so this is an excellent time to explore healthy options and begin new routines geared to making yourself fitter and stronger. Aquarians are naturals when it comes to exploring alternative health remedies; you keep an open mind and are prepared to try anything new. If, therefore, you have any tiresome complaints which need to be sorted, now is the time to surf the net, speak to friends and discover the appropriate remedy. This would also be a good period in which to examine your diet, dose yourself up with vitamins, buy organic vegetables etc. Exercise could prove particularly beneficial, and you may be very pleasantly surprised by how much better you feel with a little physical exertion inserted into your daily routines.
Work also comes under focus this month, and in the most welcome of ways. July has none of the astrological bogies of preceding months giving you an opportunity to get ahead, whether in the sense of securing your job, getting along with colleagues, networking or seeking a new position. Communications should begin to flow more smoothly after the 10th when Mercury resumes direct motion so arrange important meetings after this date for the best possible outcome.
During the latter part of July the emphasis switches to relationships. Indeed, from the 23rd and throughout August other people will play an extra large part in your life. With this in mind you need to look much more carefully into events that occur on or near the Mars-Neptune square of the 24th: you may not have both feet planted on terra firma at this time, whether you are madly in love or somewhat mystified by someone or something, so you cannot leap to conclusions nor assume that what you are told is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The weekend of the 28th begins on a retrograde Venus and culminates with the only full moon this year in Aquarius, so don't be phased if a relationship performs a 180º turn. In some ways this is an excellent moment to close the book on something, yet there is a real sense of more water having to flow under that bridge...
1st August 2007 - 31st August 2007 Each year at this time the sun takes up residency in the area of love and relating, making it the premium period for things of a romantic and partnership nature. This year, however, the alignments pack an even mightier punch, and many of the possibilities that appeared earlier in 2007 will become realities in August. Although the Saturn-Neptune opposition made its last port of call in late June, these two planets are still closely connected so that as soon as the sun, Mercury or Venus (all of which are currently in Leo) hooks up to Saturn it pulls in Neptune as well, resurrecting that familiar theme of fantasy versus reality, hopes and dreams versus hard facts. The beginning of August, the period of the 11th - 14th and the 20th - 25th are the ones to watch out for in regard to this all-important trend.
If you have selected this month to marry or move in with your significant other, you are turning a romance into something a lot more permanent, thereby reflecting the aforementioned theme; on the other hand, if you have been struggling to keep your romantic ship of dreams afloat, events in August could finally beach it! Especially if you have a birthday on or near the 17th February you face certain challenges this month, if only coming to the understanding that no matter how much you push, shove and try to control your life, sometimes you just can't win. And strangely enough almost always when you reach that point the trend reverses itself.
Should you be going away for August or planning to take time off, expect there to be some hard work involved. This is an ideal month to put your holiday time to good use. Also, other people will not be at their most helpful, and whether through others putting their needs and wishes first or the way events pan out you may end up feeling that you are the one shouldering the responsibilities.
And finally a word about the eclipse of the 28th. Eclipses bring simmering situations to boiling point; they signal changes, most usually inspired by other people who are either already in our lives or about to enter them. This lunar eclipse flanks the financial axis of your solar chart, which in some cases will signal completion on a house purchase or the finalizing of a contract and in other cases will alert you to the fact that things need to be brought back in balance...
1st September 2007 - 30th September 2007 There is considerable activity in the eighth house of joint investments this month, with the solar eclipse of the 11th marking the beginning of a new twelve-month cycle for finances and shared resources. Whether through an inheritance/windfall or because you agree to pool your finances, you will need to give careful consideration as to how such things are administered. Saturn moves into the sign of Virgo on the 2nd and will assist you in making wise and sober choices. The solar eclipse of the 11th also suggests that any joint ventures which are entered into now will prove their worth in three to six months time. And while this forecast may principally apply to money and joint assets, in some cases the investments involved will be emotional in nature, therefore a new romance that begins at this time could become a great deal more serious by Christmas.
Venus, the planet of love and partnerships, has been transiting the seventh house of relationships since early June, so for many Aquarians this has been a crucial period for the health and strength of your romantic and working relationships. In late July, Venus turned retrograde, which may have coincided with a difficulty, even a separation from a partner. On the 8th September Venus gets back on track and you may well find that from this point a relationship that was in the doldrums gets its bounce back and in general the climate is perfect for finding and nurturing love. Make the most of your Venus transit, Aquarius, because this is a peak period for getting people to back you and reveal their love and support for you.
1st October 2007 - 31st October 2007 Each year at this time the sun passes through the area of far horizons, encouraging you to think of ways to broaden your life
canvas. You might choose to travel or make plans for trips at another time, or you may connect with people and places far away.
Whatever the case, the cosmos is inspiring you to see your life from more lofty perspectives thereby setting current problems in a
more positive light. Also, should you have drifted away from your ten-year plan, this is the month to get yourself back on
track with your dreams and ambitions. And, perhaps, with Mercury in retrograde from 12th October - 1st November getting back
on track will involve revisiting the past.
Relationships and financial matters are also in the mainframe. Saturn recently entered the eighth house of money and shared
resources, so already you may have sensed that this is not a period in which to spend, spend, spend but to conserve funds and find
ways to ease financial burdens, not add to them. During October Venus transits this same zone, which can mean that money matters
ease up and that you are in receipt of a windfall, a settlement or you make a favourable financial transaction. However, in her
journey Venus meets up with Saturn (14th) and Uranus (25th) so around these dates there could be monetary upsets
and you will need to be very careful when dealing with partners or financial institutions.
If you are one of those Aquarians whose head rules the heart, you might be surprised by the strength of your feelings in the
latter half of the month. The full moon of the 26th is in a most sensitive area of your solar chart - the very roots of your
being - and with Mercury in retrograde motion you might find your thoughts drifting to the past, or deep feelings could be
dredged up, seemingly out of nowhere. Your emotional life is undergoing a period of awakening, courtesy of a transit of Uranus,
and whenever Uranus is aspected by other planets, this tends to have an unsettling, or disturbing effect upon your emotions.
Whether your feelings are of unbridled joy or otherwise is not certain, but they will be sincere and heartfelt, of that you can be
sure.
1st November 2007 - 30th November 2007 For much of the month career and life goals are highlighted – and favourably so – therefore, if you have been toying with the idea of getting a new job or wanting to raise your profile in the old one, now is the time. And, of course, there could be developments quite out of your control that alter the texture and shape of your material world. The new moon of the 9th augurs a fresh phase for your career and ambitions and at the very least you should be thinking about ways in which you can find greater job-fulfilment and what new things need to be done in order for you to achieve your goals. From the 8th, Venus will be moving through the far-horizons sector of your horoscope, putting you in touch with people and organizations at a distance and opening you up to exciting possibilities a little further down the line. If you are travelling, you may enjoy a mild flirtation, and, should you want to put the magic back in a relationship a trip to foreign parts could be just what the astrologer ordered.
The sun-Neptune square of the 12th is one of two blots on the astrological horizon. Neptune creates a climate in which lies and deception thrive and it can undermine your confidence, and certainly your vision. Thus, around this time, do not assume what you see is what you get and if something or someone makes a move that completely throws you, wait until you can establish some facts before you take action. The period around the 24th gives off a similar message, only with this time a full moon to boot: while endings and beginnings are appropriate at this time, what you want to avoid is acting out of passion or anger. Burning bridges is not for sissies.
1st December 2007 - 31st December 2007 You may be looking at a pile of invitations and wondering quite how you're going to accomplish everything on your list of must-do's but, if not, prepare to be in demand and rushed off your feet. The zone of collaboration and friendship is the setting for this month's fabulous alignments and wherever they fall in your natal chart you can be sure that aspect of your life is ripe for a major revamp. It may be that you are working with a team of people in order to bring off a major production or you could be giving of your time and energy to those who are less fortunate and, one way or another, colleagues and friends have a big part to play in December's astrological story.
While this is a good period for starting new enterprises and giving moth-eared situations a new look, it is not the moment to make a threat or promise that you do not intend to carry out. Situations reach tipping point in a climate like this and you need to be very careful which bridges you burn. By contrast a friendship or casual acquaintance could develop into something much more passionate, and if there was a time when love might blossom in the most unexpected of quarters it is now.
Finances are another reason why December could be memorable. Saturn and Uranus are presiding over monetary affairs so balancing your accounts could prove even more of a challenge than usual. On or near the 6th a financial arrangement may unexpectedly come to an end or there will be changes to existing agreements that put a greater strain on your resources. You probably don't need me to inform you that the global economy is in a shaky state so err on the side of caution and do everything you can to ensure that you come out of a financial commitment or a financial argument on the winning side.
On the 18th Jupiter heads into the reclusive twelfth house where, during the next thirteen months, it will help you plant the seeds of 2009's successes. With this in mind, the latter part of December is a premium period for lobbying support for a long-term project and generally getting your ducks in a row. Do your best to have a low-key Christmas this year - you're a tad more physically and emotionally vulnerable and at the very least avoid overdoing the partying and indulging in those other excesses of the season.
1st January 2008 - 31st January 2008 At the start of every year the sun occupies the low-key twelfth house but this year there is a whole company of planets therein so don$t be surprised if you feel less than the life and soul of the party and somewhat melancholic. In an ideal world, you$d be heading off on a retreat from the rat race to commune with your inner being so that you can return, refreshed, batteries re-charged and with a feeling that you can take on anyone and anything. However, ideal worlds are one thing, living in the real one rather different. Until the 20th, do your best to devote some time to yourself, whether this means paying greater attention to your health or establishing your real feelings about someone or something. The first week of the month is powerful by any astrological standards: yes, you$ll get to see what$s been lying under the carpet, so to speak, and will be able to sort it but you may not enjoy the assault on your emotions and equilibrium.
As I mentioned in my year ahead forecast, 2008 is a year of preparation - you will be starting projects that will take a year or so to complete and you will be sowing the seeds of future success. And to a certain extent January is key in this regard. The period of the 12th - 23rd could produce ideas from which great things will come and the weekend of the 19th is very special, especially in regard to relationships in general and your love life in particular. The full moon of the 22nd highlights the relationship axis and brings to an end a year-long cycle, therefore it will be appropriate to make some decisions about where you go from here with a romance or business partnership.
On the 24th Venus, the planet of love and harmony, joins the cluster of planets in the twelfth house, where it will remain until it enters your own sign on February 17th. Should a love affair appear to falter or your feelings for someone fade, give the situation time to breathe because it may well resolve itself by Valentine$s Day. From the 28th retrograde Mercury sounds a similar theme - being patient with people who will not give you an answer, checking and rechecking information, and allowing extra time for journeys.
1st February 2008 - 29th February 2008 This is your month in every sense. Not only the sun in your sign but also a solar eclipse and Venus's entry into Aquarius all point to
a time of seminal developments. Make no mistake, you are in the driver's seat so don't allow a sudden attack of self-doubt to
stand in your way: it's time to take control of your life and to show others that you are not just a great person but a force to
be reckoned with. Whether the top of your wish list revolves around love, your career or whatever, the actions you take in February will
at the very least set you on the path to success. Now, Venus will not be in your sign for Valentine's Day, so proof of love or finding
it may not manifest on the day itself but this is not a cause for disappointment, unless you know already that you're in a
no-hoper of a relationship. In part, this is what the solar eclipse of the 7th is all about - a new start, and one that is
triggered by force of circumstance. Once Venus has arrived in your sign (17th) you will have all the charm particles you need to
get what and who you want. The total lunar eclipse of the 21st thrusts a financial matter into prominence: if you are in negotiation
with an ex over money or talking to financial institutions with a regard to borrowing or investments expect a tough ride around this time
- a lot of karma is being worked out, and more created, of course, so you'll need to tread very carefully.
1st March 2008 - 31st March 2008 Budgets, taxes and financial plans take top billing in March. You have no financial plans? Well, one
way or another, you're going to be reminded of the importance of self-worth, which, of course,
isn't simply a matter of how much money you have but of the value you place on yourself and the way
other people treat you... Ring around in red the 7th - 9th and the Easter weekend for these are all
times when simmering issues reach boiling point. While these may be dates of significance already in
your diary - a wedding, holiday or family get-together, for instance - should any arguments
develop or a situation reach crunch-point, affirming your self-worth and recognizing that you
cannot make compromises with yourself or your talents will put you in the winning position. On a lighter
level, there will be opportunities to up your profile and to add to your personal assets, whether you do
so by a blast of retail-therapy or because you seek out people who will promote you and your
talents.
1st April 2008 - 30th April 2008 If you've been stuck in a giant rut for as long as you can remember, prepare to be ejected - and quite pleasantly so. The area of travel and dialogue is in full flight so if you yourself are not boarding a plane your plans should be taking off! Not that you'll have much evidence of this at the start to April: two challenging aspects by Pluto could make discussions with individuals and organizations alike somewhat difficult and although you may not like giving way to someone else, this may be the best solution. Pluto raises passions so there is also the possibility that you will be prompted into an extreme action due to your feelings for someone. All through April a major configuration will be dominating the astrology, in your case focusing on finances and plans for the future, thus, there is a strong chance that you will find success after a long, long labour. Certainly, you should be fatalistic about what happens this month because there is an aura of cause-and-effect (karma for want of a better word) about events. As far as relationships go, the course of true love can be speeded and certainly sweetened by the written word - time to get out the poetry books and to speak from the heart.
1st May 2008 - 31st May 2008 Attending to the roots of life is May's astrological task. This may indeed turn out to be a time when family issues spring to the top of your agenda and the home experiences something of a make-over but the more important process will be setting your endeavours - personal, professional and familial - on solid ground. Finances benefit from Saturn's change of direction (3rd) - easing the pressure and helping you make firm agreements with banks, partners and lending institutions - and, if you're selling or purchasing a property you could see a real result. The period of the 9th - 21st puts Neptune in the picture so the trend for illusion and unrealistic hopes is high (scrutinize contracts and question important information) yet the climate is also perfect for one of those soul-to-soul exchanges. The full moon of the 20th flanks the life-direction axis, bringing to a close a great or small chapter for domestic life and/or your career. After this point, you will need to move on, whether in the emotional sense or in real terms. Try to tie up as many loose ends as possible by the 24th - with Mercury and Neptune turning retrograde on the 26th the potential for misunderstandings, disconnections and delays will be high.
1st June 2008 - 30th June 2008 Creativity in all its myriad forms is the astro-theme of the month. The sun, Venus and Mercury will all pass through the zone of 'the self' encouraging you to relate to the muse-within, whether this translates as getting a new business project off the ground, bringing a new little person into the world or beginning a romantic relationship. And, even if none of these things presents itself, you can and should put your personal stamp on as many events and endeavours as you can. Your biggest challenge will appear between the 9th and 20th of the month when the sun and Venus first angle unstable Uranus and then transformational Pluto. Yes, this could be a period in which great things come into being but they won't come in without a struggle - think of labour pains and delivery. On the other hand, if you hit a serious obstacle your best tactic is to withdraw for the time being a) to give the situation a chance to settle and b) because once you've had time to think you may see matters somewhat differently. Also, should you meet someone, whether in connection with work or romance, this person will have a major effect on your life, if only because he or she will change your thinking.
1st July 2008 - 31st July 2008 There is huge value in preparation, as you may well discover by August. Maybe you have some important events lined up for next month so you know already that you need to get organized but if not, please take your astrologer's advice and start dealing with paperwork and putting together plan B and C, just in case events overtake you. Getting in shape is the theme for July, and doing the work of relationship. And although this may sound rather dull, once you have created firm structures and made yourself strong there will be nothing the cosmos can throw at you that will faze you. Venus enters the relationship zone on the 12th and from this point until the end of August other people will play a big part in your existence. Some Aquarians will meet an individual who will change the course of their lives while others will experience unexpected changes in long-established relationships. Venus aims to create balance and harmony, whether this means finding someone with whom to share your journey through life or revealing what ballast must be shed in order to regain your equilibrium. Money is another big focus for July, and if you are currently negotiating with a financial institution or an ex-partner, expect the going to be especially tough on or near the 10th. Another date for your diary is the 31st - perfect for making a statement from the heart but also a time to discover the meaning of truth between two people.
1st August 2008 - 31st August 2008 In many ways August and February are united by this month's astrological offerings. On the one hand, this may translate as the events of August having their starting point in February and, on the other, there could be a same-meat-different-gravy syndrome in evidence. Certainly, if you encounter any mysterious goings-on it may behove you to look back to February for the clues. Two eclipses would be enough to make this a month to remember but a whole string of powerful aspects to the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) do the job in style. Perhaps you have set the date, in which case the astrology is underlining what a life-changing moment this is for you, but for many Aquarians it is an out of the blue event – most probably in regard to your love life or someone to whom you are close – that makes August so memorable. You could fall truly, madly and deeply in love, you may experience a betrayal or a disappointment or you could simply reach a major relationship crossroads. Whatever the scenario, fate and other people are shaping your course, which means your ability to make choices tends to kick in after the event, rather than before.
1st September 2008 - 30th September 2008 You probably don't need me to tell you that finances require work but you may be glad to know that efforts you put in to set monetary wrongs to rights will prove successful, especially if you choose the first week of September to talk to financial institutions or, indeed, anyone with whom you have a monetary relationship, which could, of course, include partners. It may be that help or an offer comes from an unexpected quarter, although you will have almost certainly impressed someone in the past, which has led to such a welcome development. The period of the 12th - 16th brings a monetary issue to crunch point, the result of which could be a break in a long-standing relationship. On the plus side, a financial break-through could free up your cash-flow and lead to increased wealth. And while finances are top of the list in regard to these trends, you may find that there are other aspects of your life subject to sudden changes mid-month. Travel and exploring new avenues for your skills and passions are other themes for September so, if you've been thinking of getting away from it all and are experiencing a certain restlessness with your job/lifestyle/significant other, maybe it's time for a really big change.
1st October 2008 - 31st October 2008 It is at this time each year that the sun transits the zone of far
horizons, evoking your thirst for travel and encouraging you to broaden
your outlook any which way you can. So, if you're browsing through
travel brochures you're definitely in synch with your stars. It may
be that you have been preoccupied with money matters recently or dealing
with the complexities of a relationship such that you've lost your
joie-de-vivre, in which case your October stars will do much to
restore your optimism and good spirits - watch the week of the 6th.
Yes, I haven't forgotten that Mercury will be in retrograde until
the 15th inspiring the usual log jams on the communication highway, not
to mention adding to the miseries of the travel industry, but you can
make important re-connections during the first half of the month and
something that you thought was lost can return to you. Career and
material matters are also in the frame for October, and, if you're
wise, you'll make your key decisions regarding finances, property
and your future after the 15th and before the 31st. This is not a
climate in which to haggle over a price or pitch your market value too
high.
1st November 2008 - 30th November 2008 With the sun's passage through the tenth house of your solar chart the emphasis is on your material world. This is the period of the year for getting ahead and for setting in place or strengthening life support systems. By and large, the influences are harmonious and conducive to your success, and certainly your progress, but as with last month's largely easy alignments, the Saturn-Uranus opposition is a tough nut to crack. This opposition will be in play for the next couple of years, and if you want to know a little bit more about its meaning, why not read my article on Astrolutely. For you, Saturn and Uranus are homing in on finances and investments -emotional investments just as much as financial ones -so you are in a cycle of major change: old patterns are breaking apart and new ones are coming into being. While this may make for some anxiety and uncertainty at the time, eventually you will be in a far more stable and secure position. The full moon of the 13th has the capacity to raise hopes and aggravate fears so do your best to keep your feet on the ground and under no circumstances believe anything that cannot be supported by concrete facts and figures. Friends and colleagues assume even greater importance in your life during the second half of the month, and while this may turn out to be a very sociable period a new project could come out of a working relationship. Indeed, if you are job-hunting or keen to advance your career the period from the 21st November to mid-December is a premium one for networking.
1st December 2008 - 31st December 2008 A month with Venus in your sign has to be a great month, or at least a month in which you will be buffered against the tempests of fate. With Venus as your handmaid, you will attract positive people and positive situations into your life; you may experience a stroke of good luck and you will certainly have an edge over the competition. Venus also helps you find peace with life, peace with yourself. Then, of course, there is romance. Single Aquarians could discover love and those of you in long- term relationships could get back that loving feeling. The Venus- Neptune conjunction of the 27th might well inspire a proposal, and if you're marrying over Christmas or the New Year, it will be one of the most romantic weddings ever. (There could be some jealousy and controversy too, but then happiness brings out the worst in other people sometimes...) Uranus, Saturn and Pluto do their best to change a long- standing pattern and to interfere with your time- table and plans - keep your cool at all costs on or near the 5th and 12th - yet any changes that do take place will be in your best interests. From the 21st, health requires a little more care - do your best not to overdo the partying or the stage- managing - and if you can get away, preferably on some kind of retreat, do so. The year ends on a Mercury- Jupiter conjunction - the perfect aspect for a joyful celebration - and with Jupiter set to enter your sign on 5th January, don't say you have nothing to celebrate!
1st January 2009 - 31st January 2009 2009 may not be a great year for everyone but it should be a marvellous one for you. And the reason? Jupiter arrives in your sign on the 5th for a year-long transit during which time you will have opportunities to make your world bigger and better. Some of these opportunities may be already in the pipeline while others will appear in unusual ways. Confidence and courage will be key components of your success, and the sooner you start believing in yourself and your ideas the quicker your success will manifest. Speed, of course, is not of the essence when Mercury is retrograde, so do your best not to become too impatient if, after the 11th, a plan has to be shelved or sidelined. Also, with the sun in the hermit-like twelfth house of your solar chart until the 19th you may not be feeling your sunny self, and one or more situations could be shrouded in mystery and confusion. But these are short-term trends and the larger and stronger one is for growth and prosperity. The 5th is not the only big date in your diary, by the way: on the 26th a solar eclipse in Aquarius opens the door to the new and the different. For many Aquarians this eclipse is a sign of a new person entering your life but for others it is a signal for you to get behind necessary changes. Eclipses always bring change...
1st March 2009 - 31st March 2009 Money takes top billing in March. This is the right month to tackle every kind of financial issue – when you go with the cosmos you get results! The full moon of the 11th ends a year-long cycle for money matters, so ideally you should be ending agreements that have done their time and drawing up new financial strategies. Sometimes, of course, a full moon precipitates a cash-flow crisis or brings a simmering issue to boiling point but once in the open a financial problem can be resolved. Should you be going through a divorce or leaving an organization March could be a crucial period for reaching settlements. However, if you are in negotiation during the first nine days, be aware that there could be some unseen pitfalls, even a degree of misrepresentation going on, so sign nothing until you have sought a sound second opinion. Erring on the side of caution should be your by-word for the coming month – underestimate projections and insist on written estimates – and, although this advice applies first and foremost to financial situations you may need to be extra careful with commitments that involve your heart too. The weekends of the 6th, 15th and 21st could all be turning points for a romance or close relationship and although you must always listen to your heart, when you act out of hurt, it is easy to make mistakes...
1st April 2009 - 30th April 2009 The pace of life picks up and with it your outlook. The first three months of 2009 have been trying to say the least but April gives you a new perspective and enables you to add to your bank of knowledge and experience. You may be taking a break or travelling more frequently, and, with Mercury heading into retrograde early next month, getting as far ahead as possible with your plans is advised. The full moon of the 9th presides over a period of conclusions, whether you are reaching decisions in your own mind or signing contracts and legal documents. Easter looks to be a particularly happy time and any romantic conclusions that are reached should prove entirely heart-warming. Until the 22nd Mars will be transiting the financial zone of your solar chart, helping you make money and spend it! However, your tolerance threshold is low so do your best to fight any feelings of frustration, either because you must wait for money or financial agreements to come through or because there is still a degree of anxiety over your future. The Mars-Uranus conjunction of the 15th may change a long-standing pattern, and while you could make a surprise gain this is not the time to act without due thought and consideration. Once you burn your bridges, there's no going back... Another period in which you need to take your time before leaping into action is the weekend of the 25th – all is not quite as it seems.
1st February 2009 - 28th February 2009 This is quite some month for Aquarius. The solar eclipse of the 26th January followed by the lunar eclipse of the 9th February make this a time of major endings and beginnings. This will translate differently from Aquarian to Aquarian but if you find yourself closing the door on certain activities, people and belief systems, you'll know why. Mars enters your sign on the 4th giving you energy, focus and determination – there are no battles you're unprepared to fight, and, fortunately, your powers of recuperation are excellent! Relationships are in the spotlight, with some Aquarians making life-defining decisions to be with someone while others will be doing precisely the reverse. The first half of the month is challenging, whether global developments, particularly regarding the economy, create new pressures and fears for you or because you have far too much on your plate. Take things one step at a time, live in the now, and you'll reach your targets. The week of the 9th puts Neptune in the mix so solid information will be hard to come by, and although romance may flourish the potential for disappointments is equally high. The repeat – third time – of the Mercury-Jupiter conjunction (24th) could end speculation regarding a job or, after a period of to-ing and fro-ing, someone may be ready to make a decision in your favour. Certainly, this latter part of February is full of optimism and good spirits.
1st May 2009 - 31st May 2009 I have talked in glowing terms about Jupiter's passage through your sign, and I hope you've already experienced a boost of some description this year. If not, the latter part of May could do the trick. Throughout the month Jupiter and Neptune will be highly active creating an atmosphere in which love can blossom and minor miracles can occur. So, although you can't put your paws up and hope a problem will simply disappear, if you align your will to your vision you may be surprised at the success you achieve. On the downside the Jupiter-Neptune combo will reveal which of your hopes are unrealistic and where you need to go back to the drawing board - disappointments and deceptions are all part of Neptune's story, something you may encounter around the 17th. Mercury will be slowing the wheels of commerce and communications – so what's new? - although you may find that a delay serves your purpose and that an unexpected turn of events throws up a secret you needed to know. The new moon of the 24th opens a fresh chapter for your love life, and it may also bring out your entrepreneurial spirit – and if there's one year in which to start new projects intended to enrich you on all levels, it's this one.
1st June 2009 - 30th June 2009 Isn't it time you had some fun and let the inner person out? The sun highlights the pleasure zone of your solar chart, and anyone who and anything that brings out your sunny self should be your top priority – isn't it time you had a holiday? Some Aquarians could be welcoming a new member of the family while others could be celebrating the achievement of an offspring, and, aside from enjoying yourself, creative endeavours produce the big highs of the month. The Saturn-Uranus dyad is in play on or near the 5th and 17th so these are dates around which to expect monetary glitches – glitches in general. The right action to take with this planetary combination is to ditch those things that belong to the past and head into untrammelled territory – like the global economy a new way forward must come about. Jupiter, currently transiting your sign, turns retrograde on the 15th encouraging you to take the pedal off the metal, first and foremost with a relationship and second in regard to a personal matter. You may have come too far too soon, and a period of retreat and reflection is required. Pluto and a new moon (22nd/23rd) produce some seismic waves towards the end of the month – nothing you cannot handle but you may have to let something go.
1st July 2009 - 31st July 2009 The sixth house of the horoscope is a much misunderstood place: it is known as the area of 'duties and responsibilities, service, health and work' yet its importance is invariably overlooked. When planets transit our sixth house we can put in infra-structures that will service our hopes, dreams and ambitions: in the sixth house we do the work of life. It is during July that you get to put in place new systems that will support and sustain you over the next twelve months, most pertinently in regard to relationships. There are weaknesses at the base of more than one close association and the lunar eclipse of the 7th will expose them. Likewise, if you have been paying scant attention to your health or ignoring the writing on the wall at work, the aforementioned eclipse and the total solar eclipse of the 22nd will act as a wake up call. New opportunities emerge in the wake of loss or disappointment. The week of the 6th finds this theme playing at its loudest, with some Aquarians realizing a dream and others discovering that their hopes were built on sand. Venus and Mars will boost your self-esteem, however, and bring out your creative and joyful side – a new romance for some, the beginning of a business venture for others and for a few important developments regarding an offspring.
1st August 2009 - 31st August 2009 The past appears to be reaching into the present. Now, for some Aquarians this theme applies to people returning to your life after many years, or going back to places and activities that were once part of your existence but for others events of a more recent past – January and February of this year – have a bearing on the present. Not only will the sun be transiting the area of relating but there will be a lunar eclipse on the relationship axis (6th) so, one way or another, other people are going to play a big part in August's story. Clearly, if you're getting married or moving in with your love you are responding to these romantic influences, as will you be should you end a relationship, however, eclipses invariably coincide with out of the blue developments so this is not the month to assume you know all there is to know about someone or that all your expectations will be met. They could exceed them, of course. The period around the sun-Neptune opposition of the 17th is complex: appearances will be deceptive and you will have to keep a close eye on arrangements and check the veracity of information. Indeed, the entire week of the 17th has an unusual edge to it. On the 26th Venus moves into the relationship zone adding to the already strong theme of finding and keeping love, so should the love boat have encountered any choppy waters in August, there's still September.
1st September 2009 - 30th September 2009 Planets in the eighth house make for an intense few weeks, especially where your love life and finances are concerned. To a degree, you are in other people's hands, which doesn't make you powerless so much as your having to consider other people's needs and opinions and being prepared to cut your coat according to your cloth. This has been a very abundant year for many Aquarians, both in an emotional and financial sense, yet others have had excessive drains on their resources; some may even have put themselves at risk by buying into relationships and schemes that have failed to live up to their promise. At this point of the year, you can right the balance. The alignments of the 11th - 24th require total honesty: they will help you break from the past, settle old scores and move forward into an, as yet, unclear future. Plus, events on or near the 15th could take you back to February in the sense of their origins and for their solutions. There could be some extremely important developments on the romance and relationship front – proposals, mergers and new beginnings – and since you are not the type to bare your soul as well as your body, you may need the encouragement of your astrologer to get stripping!
1st October 2009 - 31st October 2009 Travel and people and places far away figure in your astrological landscape. You could be taking a holiday, going away on business or making plans for such things in the future. October is the perfect time to change your routine and to get your head above the problems and issues that have been consuming you for the past few months. It's time to see your current situation in the context of your whole life. Jupiter, which has been in retrograde for the past four months, turns direct on the 13th so between now and early January you should see an ambition come to fruition and you should certainly make use of the next few months in the way of launching brave new projects and promoting yourself and your ideas. Opportunities that arise around the 10th will add to the quality of life and you should not hesitate to make a commitment to the future at this time. On the 16th, Mars heads into the relationship zone all set to make the sparks fly – hopefully in the way of romance and passion but don't be surprised if you discover during the next six weeks that you have a competitor, an enemy even. Whatever you do, don't underestimate the power of people to make life very difficult for you should you tread on their toes. Saturn arrives in the far horizons sector of your chart on the 29th – a transit that could see you taking great strides in your career in the next two to three years and finding your niche in territory far out of your comfort zone.
