The Following Month Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
1st February 2003 - 28th February 2003 Feel like hiding under the duvet? Want to be alone? So sensitive it hurts? These are classic symptoms of twelfth-house-it is - a condition suffered by all signs when the sun disappears into the twelfth house of the horoscope, which it does in your case between 19th January and 18th February! Fortunately, this is not a terminal state of affairs and when the sun enters Pisces on the 18th your grip on situations will return and you should feel you’re getting back to reality.
One way of responding to February’s influences would be to take time out. And while a holiday might be the most desirable option you can still get away from it all by devoting an evening or a weekend to yourself, or more specifically the inner-you. February is a time of dreaming and being in touch with your feelings. It is a time of forming ideas and creating blueprints for the future. Once an idea is firmly etched in your consciousness it can work its way into reality in time to come.
Health and fitness are features of February. An all-round health check would set your year off on the right footing and if you have been feeling sluggish and the body beautiful isn’t quite so gorgeous as it once was, a come-back plan could be on the cards. And if you have been ignoring a minor distress signal, this is the time to respond. In many ways February is a period of preparation and the more prepared you are the more successful you will be in the year ahead.
Until the 14th the cosmos is serene. This does not mean everything in life will be perfect but difficulties will be softened and you should be able to make good progress. On the weekend of the 15th there is a 180 degree turn-around. All the usual suspects will be on board - Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune - so we can at the very least expect some major events to be happening, or certainly brewing, on the international stage. Indeed, since these alignments are mainly taking place in the twelfth house there may be nothing personal about them at all. However, the 16th’s Mars-Pluto conjunction could make a big difference to some Piscean’s lives, especially those with a mid-March birthday. Confronting the truth of a situation would be one way of interpreting these influences, making a move that implies there is no going back would be another. And whatever comes or goes between the 12th and 26th you should not underrate its significance.
1st January 2003 - 31st January 2003 New Year is a time when even the most cynical of us still nurtures the hope of better times ahead and, with Uranus poised to enter Pisces on 10th March, change is certainly on the horizon. However, you can do your bit to help the process along by making some bold and brave moves in January. This having been said, Mercury's retrograde journey between the 2nd and 23rd does not usually lend itself to making moves of any description, let alone bold and brave ones. Nevertheless, the greater thrust in the astrology is towards ending tired old patterns and initiating new ones. So, no holding back, eh.
With a trio of planets in the area of life-direction where you are headed in life is a major issue in January. To this end some Pisceans will make a bold and brave move in regard to their career or a situation central to their position in life while others will be motivated to change the course of a relationship. Uranus is a prime-mover here so any decisions or actions are likely to be taken suddenly - and they will be radical. Any signs of dissatisfaction or red flags of any description should be duly noted during the first twelve days of the month with a view to taking definite action around the 25th. Of course, this is merely the theory and the practice may well be entirely different so do not get unduly concerned if events have a life of their own and decisions are taken before the 25th. Que sera sera.
The full moon of the 18th is another point of assessment. The creative and collaborative axis of your horoscope is illuminated here so this full moon could mark the end of a gestation period with a birth imminent. And while some Pisceans may indeed be expecting a new arrival for the majority birth is a metaphor and emblematic of a new cycle of life. This full moon also raises the possibility that a friendship or working association has reached crunch point!
With Neptune, Saturn and Pluto in high focus between the 23rd and the end of the month going carefully is advised, whether in the real sense of moving from A to B or dealing with people who hold a crucial place in your life. Then again these influences are just what you need to ensure that 2003 comes in with a bang, not a whimper!
1st March 2003 - 31st March 2003 There is a great star line up for Pisces this month. Excruciating puns aside, not only is the sun in your sign, followed by Mercury and Venus but a new long-term resident arrives in Pisces, promising to add dramatically to the shape and texture of your life. But first things first.
On the 3rd a new moon in your sign sets the ball rolling. New moons bring a fresh influence to bear, sometimes in the form of a new person, a new job or new surroundings but most often in a psychological and emotional way - the turning over of a fresh leaf. Decisions made on a new moon and actions taken rarely fizzle out. When a venture is begun on a new moon it should grow; likewise a full moon is an occasion upon which to end a situation or to encourage something to decrease in its power. (And this you might like to bear in mind on the 18th when the moon full moon will be in your opposite sign, Virgo.)
Seven days later, on the 10th, Uranus enters Pisces where it will remain for several years. As with all the slower moving planets, Uranus will focus on a different set of birthdays each year so to begin with it will be those born between the 19th and 23rd of February who get to experience Uranus’s iconoclastic properties. Uranus is The Awakener, The Liberator and The Revolutionary: this planet releases hidden talents, awakens suppressed feelings and brings an end to situations that are deeply inappropriate. You may not always like what Uranus does at the time but you almost always appreciate his gifts in retrospect.
Also on the 10th the sun in your sign angles the mighty Pluto thereby adding to the theme of revelation and revolution! Indeed, between the 8th and 18th an important configuration dominates the astrology and, as with all major alignments, it is likely to coincide with key national and international events. This configuration may also bring matters to a head in your life too and you can certainly expect this mid-month period to be one when things take off big time or one when a giant rut in the road appears. Take note of events at this time, no matter how small, because they are akin to the tips of icebergs.
On the 28th beautiful Venus enters your sign, where she will stay until late April. This planet acts like the angelic cavalry, bring peace into war torn areas of your life and opening your heart to love. Watch this space!
1st April 2003 - 30th April 2003 It’s about time the astrology sweetened up and gave us some happy days instead of a glut of dreary ones. The alignments may not be enough to soothe all the world’s ills but they are working towards such an ideal.
Love and harmony are very much the theme for Pisceans in April. Beautiful Venus will be moving through your sign until the 21st so you have every opportunity to mend fences and build bridges. And, even if you feel such hard labour is not your style, a serious charm offensive where it is needed most should yield entirely welcome results. Venus will help you make the most of your assets and while for some Pisceans this will manifest as a month when you change your hair-style, for instance, or treat yourself to a new outfit, for others making the most of your attributes means ‘selling’ your talents and investing financially in the future.
Indeed, with the sun transiting the financial zone of your horoscope, April is a key period for making money and sorting out financial matters. A new chapter begins on the 16th, and the more honest you are about your self-worth, the more focused you are on becoming more secure and dealing with money issues, the more progress you will make.
If I do have a gripe about April’s stars it centres on the time between the 11th and 19th. Aside from this period heightening global tensions it will also bring to the surface any personal difficulties. Clearly, the opportunity raised here is to confront a situation, warts and all, and deal with it accordingly. However, it may be that in some cases a relationship has been stretched to breaking point and there is nothing more to be done other than to let go completely.
Nonetheless, these are blights on an otherwise promising horizon.
1st May 2003 - 31st May 2003 If the last couple of months have found you preoccupied with money matters and issues related to your position in the world, May gives you an opportunity to spread your wings, to lift up your head and see what’s going on around you. Yes, May could be a month of travel and information-gathering, but with communication-chief, Mercury, in reverse thrust and a deluge of Neptune to contend with, much of that travel may be in a backwards direction, and you may find yourself going round in ever decreasing circles too! Now, before you cancel your travel plans and turn off the phone, let me make the case for retrograde Mercury: during such passages, you gain a valuable opportunity to turn back the clock and to review decisions and opinions you have formed earlier. And sometimes a delay or a round-a-bout journey can lead to some very interesting and advantageous outcomes.
Neptune, of course, is your ruling planet so you are accustomed to being fluid with your arrangements, flexible with your planning and in general going with the flow. But even you like to have some things set in stone. Thus, May could prove to be an irritating and frustrating month in the sense that you cannot get certain people to come to the table and an event or project could have to be put on ice. Mid-month is the most Neptunian time of all and while you may be able to do nothing about other people’s mistakes, hesitations and cancellations you can do much to alleviate other people’s suffering by making your information clear and correct.
On the 16th a lunar eclipse in Scorpio adds to the confusion so especially between the 12th and 18th you should keep your timetable to a manageable size and avoid those places, people and situations guaranteed to raise your blood pressure. I would also recommend relying on your intuition, because situations could be extremely confusing in May. As always, your heart knows the truth.
The second eclipse of the year takes place on the 31st and is focused on the base of your chart. New moon eclipses on the life-direction axis of your solar chart signal a fork in your life-path, especially if you have a late February birthday. And while I realize that I have painted a largely challenging astrological picture of May, this solar eclipse is but one of a few factors that point to this month as the embarkation point to a happier and more fulfilling phase of life.
1st May 2003 - 1st May 2003 Due to unforeseen circumstances, this months forecast has been delayed!

1st June 2003 - 30th June 2003 Well, you know I don’t mince words so if you want to read nothing but pap, head towards another website. On the other hand, if you want to be ready and prepared and in the right mind-set to deal with events in June, read on.
June, like February and March before it, contains several key alignments involving Uranus and Pluto, so we can expect some seminal world events. However, if you can look back on the February/March period and recall some of the events and understandings that you experienced then, it will help you deal constructively with June’s developments. Indeed, it may be that a situation that had its origins in late 2002 and early 2003 comes up to be revisited and in many cases resolved. Birthdays in the frame here are 19th - 22nd February, 7th - 12th and 14th March. But whenever your birthday you should be aware that there are no grey areas in June - situations are black and white and require strong and focused responses. Other people will not be making idle promises or threats: they mean what they say.
The astrological focus for much of June’s turbo-powered influences is first, the home front and second, the foundations of your ambitions. Put another way, not only can you expect to be more involved with members of your family and occupied with domestic concerns, but as far as your career and mainstream ambitions go, this is a period when much can change and much can be done to reorient you, should you have been following an inappropriate path. In even simpler language June could be the month you up sticks and move to a new location - or make plans to do so later in the year - and a time of major career changes. And while June as a whole should be seen as a month of U-turns and bridges over troubled waters, the most powerful alignments are to be found on the 6th, 9th, 12th, 14th and 23rd - 25th.
Mars will enter your sign on the 17th where it will remain until mid-December. Mars stirs ambitions and gives you the energy, determination and focus to do what you know you must. However, Mars also stirs up the waters of contention and puts you and your opponents on the warpath, therefore you need to be very careful how you handle your frustrations and your desires. Certainly these next six months provide you with the wherewithal to fulfil a long-held ambition and to surmount obstacles that have stood in your way for many years. And June’s events and those to come in September could play a major part in that process.
1st July 2003 - 31st July 2003 When planets transit the fifth house of the solar chart your pleasure-loving instincts are evoked and your creative juices begin to flow and since the alignments are mainly harmonious you look set for a happy and enjoyment-oriented few weeks. Even prickly Saturn’s presence in this same fifth house may produce more ups than downs. But to be on the safe side we should take on board this planet’s potential to bring reality to bear, sometimes in less than warm and fuzzy ways. If we stick with the theme of creativity for a moment, the first half of July, especially around the 1st, 8th and 13th, could be a time when you realize that your efforts are not going to produce the results that you hoped for and unless major reconstruction work is put into an enterprise or an association, it might be better to let it go and focus on more worthwhile pursuits. Conversely, Saturn may give you a real success and help you put a project or friendship/love affair onto a solid footing.
Clearly, when Saturn is in the ascendancy, even when he is at an harmonious angle to your sun sign, you cannot expect situations to land in the palm of your hand, you have to apply effort, focus, hard work and discipline.
The full moon of the 13th signals the end of a gestation period, and while not every Pisces is about to bring a baby into the world you could have other projects that are ready to see the light of day. You may also find that once this full moon has passed, you feel clearer, freer and ready to have fun: it’s almost as if a corner has been turned and new vistas are presenting themselves. What you may also be sensing is the imminent arrival of Jupiter into your opposite sign (27th August), which will make the subsequent twelve months a period of growth and opportunity.
One last point to cover is the 31st’s Mercury-Uranus opposition, which is focusing primarily on the February birthdays - expect an unusual piece of news or an exchange with someone that is electric, if not somewhat combustible.
1st August 2003 - 31st August 2003 You know that expression: the devil’s in the details? Well, it could serve you well this month. The area of preparation, planning, focus and order is in the spotlight, giving you one of the best opportunities this year to set your life on a firm, and certainly more organized, footing. This is also a period when your health and life-style come under the astro-microscope, urging you to face up to deficiencies and set to rights systems of one sort or another. But if that sounds too boring for words and anything but what you had in mind, read on: with Jupiter heading into the area of relationships on the 27th for a year-long stay, you could be looking at some early fire-work displays here before we get too far into September.
The first half of August is dominated by your ruler, Neptune, so life could be high on hopes and the rumour mill could be churning on overtime. By the time of the full moon (12th) and the Mercury-Pluto square (13th) fantasy should be replaced by facts and, especially if you have a 9th - 13th March birthday, you could be ready to give the old heave-ho to outdated or unworthy commitments. Certainly, information reaching you at this time or distress signals of any sort should be taken seriously and the appropriate actions taken.
The weekend of the 16th sets in motion one of the most unusual and expansive periods of 2003: between then and the end of the month turn-arounds in regard to work and your love-life could be seen and you may have cause to say: I never believed it to be possible! On the 22nd Venus heads into the relationship sector and with the sun and Jupiter following on the 23rd and 27th respectively, you are beginning a season of relationship highs - and certainly some action on the romance and people front. The only gremlin in the astrological woodpile is Uranus - a planet that severs weak links and forces you out of safe little cubbyholes and going-nowhere situations. All very liberating stuff , Pisces.
1st September 2003 - 30th September 2003 If you cast your mind back to last March - around the time the war began in Iraq - and consider what was happening in your life at the time, you will have some idea what awaits you in September. With the sun now transiting the area of relationships and Pluto influencing your role in life, especially if you have a birthday between the 7th and 12th March, plans drawn up last March or events that took place then come to fruition, or you get to see to where and to what they have led. Broadly speaking while your input was crucial some six months ago, now the ball is in other people’s courts. Your course is now directed by others, whether they be partners, business associates, relatives or superiors.
The full moon in Pisces on the 10th September could prove to be the singlemost important day of 2003 and even if you reach the end of the 10th without an event of seemingly noteworthy proportions, a conversation or meeting you may have had then or a development in another person’s life may well have a large bearing on the way your future unfolds. Certainly, if you have a major task to accomplish or you have been avoiding making a move because of someone else’s reactions, the 10th looks to be that push-comes-to-shove moment.
During most of September the area of relationships becomes the most happening zone of your chart - it is a time of Piscean nuptials and a time when other people approach you with offers and give you their undiluted feelings and opinions. In some cases, September will prove to be the month you left an organization or the period in which a relationship ran out of road, and if this turns out to be the case you should remain philosophical about the new status-quo because it was, indeed, the right time to let go and move on. Mercury will be retrograding until the 20th so certain events may not make much sense until after that point; likewise someone may keep you hanging on or prove elusive in some way. So patience will be required with communications in general. Mars finally turns direct in your sign on the 27th, thereby giving you back some of your lost va-va-voom and setting you straight on one or more situations. All in all September is a month of revelations, reversals and resolutions.
1st October 2003 - 31st October 2003 The eighth house of the horoscope is a deeply mysterious area. Tagged with the lable, the house of sex and transformation, it may be difficult for some to relate to these themes at certain stages of life! However, this area has more to do with what we receive from others in terms of both love and money, which is why inheritances sometimes crop up in reference to the eighth house. Certainly, with the sun, Venus and Mercury trouping through this house during the next four to five weeks you can expect to be dealing with financial organizations and people with whom you have financial commitments: and, yes, for some Pisceans this may also be a period when sexual matters top the agenda and you will learn much about the hidden layers of someone’s personality.
Saturn is the major player this month and with Saturn you have to deal with responsibilities and duties. You have to be real with this planet, so any fluffy ideas about anyone or anything are going to be blown away. The days when Saturn is at its strongest are the 6th, 10th, 14th and 27th, so don’t be tempted to cut corners around these dates or head into denial mode. Think very carefully before making a financial or emotional investment, because it will be difficult to extricate yourself should you want to do so at a later date.
As the month goes by the focus shifts to things of a far off nature, both in the sense of overseas interests and travel. Aside from the possibility that you could be travelling far and wide in October, you should be planning for events much further down the line, all of which will inject some optimism and hope into life. New relationships begun on foreign soil or with someone far from your home town could turn into the real thing and by and large the wider you cast your net, for both personal and professional reasons in October, the more profitable the results.
1st November 2003 - 30th November 2003 There’s something to be said for being a Pisces Fish in November’s dark and choppy astrological waters - your super sonar system will help you make good judgments and you should be able to move gracefully with the current. At least that’s the theory - and if you’d like to know a little more about why November is such an astrologically significant month, please go to my new article on this website: Harmonic Convergences, Eclipses and other awe-inspiring matters.
November puts the sun in the area of distant horizons, so it is a month when your thoughts could be preoccupied with people and places overseas or a time when you are caught up with long-range plans. You may feel a terrific urge to get away from it all and to spread your wings: you will resent restrictions on your time and energies and you will want to keep your distance from people who aren’t in sympathy with you or who put a great deal of pressure on you. But pressures are what you’re likely to get in November so rather than fight the inevitable, from the 1st of the month grasp a difficult issue by the throat, so to speak, face the music and rock and roll!
Two total eclipses guarantee a month of surprises and sea-changes. It’s not going to be the easiest month for travelling or for getting people to put their signatures to agreements. You may succeed in your endeavours, but they will produce unexpected detours and take more out of you than you had expected. I could just earmark the 8th/9th and 23rd as the dates upon which you’ll encounter the most hassle but since one challenging aspect flows into the next you’re better adopting this policy for the entire month.
Mars is still transiting your sign, so to a certain extent you may already feel that you’re on a battle footing. Mars stirs your ambitions and makes you a formidable opponent but aggression, conflict and competitiveness are against your better nature so even if you are triumphing in your endeavours you’ll be glad when this phase is over! The last ten days of the month mark something of a peak for this Martian trend: this is a time when you are likely to vote with your feet in regard to a job situation or a period during which a long-standing matter reaches crunch point.
This is not a month for cissies: it will separate the men from the boys, the manta rays from the mackerel.
1st December 2003 - 31st December 2003 March, June and September may well have been key months for you and now December joins their number. Indeed, it is in the early-to middle part of December that a project may finally come to fruition or that after a series of minor events one decisive happening enables you to make that ultimate decision. Through much of the month the axis of life-direction is in the frame, so earlier on in the year you may have selected December to hold a special event or make a major change on the home or career front. The full moon of the 8th is the signal for such events and the periods around the 12th and 22nd times when thoughts translate into action. 7th-13th March birthdays are in the forefront of life-enhancing or life-changing events in December and even if life seems to have changed not one iota something has been seeded under these powerful influences.
On the 16th Mars exits your sign, which is a relief if you’ve been rushed off your feet for the last few weeks and subject to rather a lot of conflict and confrontation. On the other hand, you have had a very courageous influence in your life, which hopefully has enabled you to make progress in your career or stand up for yourself when you felt opposed or unsupported. Mars now moves on to chivvy up finances and while this may initially translate as more money going out of your account than into it, you should be able to make financial progress in January.
On the 17th Mercury heads into reverse motion, which could clog up the pipes of communication and commerce. Clearly, there are bound to be more people travelling around Christmas and it will be more difficult to get hold of people business-wise but if you are heading for distant destinations after the 17th you will need to carry a pot of patience pills.
The year ends on a Saturnian note - a reminder, perhaps, that even if you are in a happy space personally, much of the world is not. Food for thought as you head into one of the more promising years of the past decade.
1st January 2004 - 31st January 2004 Welcome to 2004! I have to say it’s a long time since I’ve seen such a sombre opening to a New Year so if you feel unaccountably low on the 31st/1st, you’ll be in good company. The rest of the zodiac is similarly depressed. Saturn is the reason for any shades of grey, although in your case this planet is at a favourable angle to your sign, helping you to add to your reputation and to find more stability in life. Saturn’s hard aspects to the sun and Mars may merely underline the fact that we as humanity are facing many challenges but if you feel personally ‘up against it’ try to find the purpose in the difficulty and be as practical as possible in seeking solutions. Saturn is all about time - the process of time to heal wounds and for the fulfilment of plans, and the time it takes for a wrong to be righted. New Year’s food for thought, eh?
One of the plus factors about January’s astrology is the arrival of Venus in your sign on the 15th. If, during the Christmas period you were separated from someone you love or there was some kind of cloud over a love affair, Venus’s presence in Pisces could set your love back on course. Also, if you have been persuaded to keep a relationship under wraps, Venus may well bring it into the public domain. The 15th January to the 8th February represents one of the year’s prime periods for love and romance, whether burgeoning affairs progress into something more permanent or you meet someone with whom you become infatuated and/or form a lasting relationship.
Whether or not Uranus aids the course of true love remains to be seen! On the 15th a conjunction between Venus and Uranus brings a surprise element into play - an unexpected announcement, perhaps or a sudden U-turn for a previously established relationship. Especially if you have a February birthday this mid-to-late period of January presents an opportunity to make a break from the past and however or whomever brings such a process about should be welcomed with open arms.
In sharp contrast to the opening to January, alignments to Jupiter around the 29th give a celebratory feel to events - a happy ending to a month of ups and downs.
1st February 2004 - 29th February 2004 Until the 19th you are in one the year’s quiet times. The sun and Mercury will be passing through the reclusive and mystical twelfth house, encouraging you to take a back seat in life and focus on the inner you. As a Pisces, you are the zodiac’s mystic and dreamer anyway, so this short period recharges your spiritual batteries and helps you to pay more attention to your dreams and intuitions. This is also a three-week period when health worries should be attended to and action taken on anything that is failing to function as usual. To this end the full moon of the 6th could prove entirely enlightening, revealing weak spots and bringing both fears and hopes to fever pitch.
A few days earlier (1st) Pluto plays a similar role in bringing buried issues to the surface: this may take the form of a powerful dream, an absolute conviction about something or someone, or circumstances beyond your control will produce a situation that requires a major re-think of one or more of your plans. And this is especially the case for the 8th -14th birthday group. Between the beginning of February and mid-March represents one of the year’s most potent passages for re-shaping a part of your life and experiencing events that force you to change your priorities, especially those that have been compromised by a relationship.
And talking of relationships! On Valentine’s Day Venus and Saturn are playing host and they are anything but a happy couple. This astrological twosome can be downright miserable so romance is going to be rather more hard work than it should be. Of course, Venus and Saturn are the epitome of making love legally binding, so if you’re getting married, becoming engaged or making a decision with your significant other, you can be sure it will stand the test of time.
Perhaps if Valentine’s Day turns out to be a thundering disappointment, Uranus will encourage you to put on your walking boots. While the sun enters your sign on the 19th, bringing with it renewed energy, clarity and courage, Uranus enters the picture on the 22nd boosting any conscious or unconscious desires to move out and move on. And we might not just be talking about a romantic relationship here.
1st March 2004 - 31st March 2004 Happy Birthday! And even if you celebrated your solar return last month, the next few weeks have an aura of new beginnings about them. A terrific aspect between Mercury, the sun and Jupiter on the 4th sets the stage for an upbeat development, and if you are celebrating then, expect to raise the roof. Sometimes, of course, Jupiter inflates a difficulty, so although this first week of March is primarily a positive and growth-oriented period, a few Pisceans may find that they have no choice other than to confront a growing problem and bring any form of excess to a halt.
On the 6th, the full moon flanks the relationship axis of your solar chart, urging you to make decisions about a friendship, business partnership or love affair/marriage. Such a full moon inspires weddings, engagements - and separations and divorce! So, especially if you have a birthday between the 6th and 13th, don’t go issuing any proposals or ultimatums, unless you really mean them. Pluto plays a big part in your affairs during the first half of March, so you need to recognize the tip of an iceberg when you see one, and you should expect actions and intentions to have major consequences.
Jupiter comes on line once again on the 17th - a gentle aspect this time - so meetings should go well and those things that come into being will enhance your life, not detract from it. This would be an ideal date upon which to seek employment, impress someone new (or old!) in your life and make commitments and promises. And, if a situation turned pear-shaped during the first ten days of the month, you may be able to set rights to wrongs between the 20th and 24th.
Uranus pops up for a surprise turn on the weekend of the 27th so, especially if you have a February birthday, expect the unexpected as per usual. Certainly, the end of March could is a time to be open to alternatives and to be prepared to rethink a situation or life goal.
1st April 2004 - 30th April 2004 Now, I’m about to mention the F-word - finances. Yes, I know you have a wonderfully fluid approach to them but another F-word - facts - (and figures) are essential for your balance and equilibrium. And April is all about facing financial facts and gaining balance. The full moon of the 5th completes a monetary cycle, making it a good time to appraise financial agreements and sort out borrowings and commitments. However, for some Pisceans a cash flow situation looms on or near the 5th. You don’t need me to tell you exactly what to do but you do have me to encourage you to examine your financial position before a fiscal institution takes unilateral action. Be the one to take control of the wheel.
Finding balance in relationships is also a theme for April. With romantic Venus at the base of your chart - and for a full five months - love and harmony are entering your life at root level. Aside from the blossoming of love, you could be ready to beautify the home or welcome a new member into the family. And between now and September your capacity to create and find beauty, love and harmony throughout your life is increased fourfold.
Easter suffers from a combination of Uranus and retrograde Mercury: travel will prove less than plain-sailing and making contact with people, and making sense of information, could be the biggest challengeS of all. The plus factor to retrograde Mercury is that it helps you reconnect with long lost friends and family, and it does encourage you to look at the history of situations in order to resolve and understand them. Mercury remains in reverse thrust until the 30th, so most of April resounds to this theme.
The weekend of the 24th brings Pluto back into the frame - 8th - 13th March birthdays are under this transformational planet’s influence this year - so while you can eliminate the negative and input the positive at this time, any rumbling issues are likely to surface with force too. Nevertheless, April is not a bad month - indeed, it looks to be the best month of the year so far.
1st May 2004 - 31st May 2004 May begins and ends on some powerful alignments, so if you are currently filling in your diary, try to keep the first week and the last ten days reasonably free: that way you can accommodate last minute dates and developments. Of course, if you have already chosen these periods to hold important events, then the cosmos is providing you with the perfect setting to make them memorable.
On the 2nd Venus and Pluto reach opposite points in the zodiac, raising passions and bringing a situation to crunch point. This is an excellent weekend to get rid of stuff that you simply don’t need, whether this amounts to a house-cleaning exercise or ending a toxic relationship. Even comparatively insignificant events can have major consequences under such an alignment, so if you meet someone new or come to a decision, expect some big ripples to flow from that point.
On the 4th a total lunar eclipse cuts across the communications’ axis of your solar chart: all full moons contain the theme of closure and completion, but when they are eclipsed, such themes come in quadraphonic sound. This eclipse could signal a contract or the end of a period of dialogue and debate: it could portend a journey of significance, whether in the real sense of travel or the metaphorical sense of understandings and awareness. Certainly, these first seven days of May look to be change-evoking and profound.
The sun reaches the base of your chart on the 20th so domestic and family issues begin to dominate your schedule. There is a chance of a delay with a property matter and you may feel less than impressed with an action taken by a family member, however, such events will resolve themselves, and probably in a matter of weeks, not months.
The week of the 24th puts Saturn and Uranus in charge, so especially if you have a February birthday, don’t rock the boat unless you have a pair of water wings! And if something ends or changes dramatically during these last ten days of May, don’t dwell on what might have been but what is to come.
1st June 2004 - 30th June 2004 You can roughly cut your year into four key quarters, with March, June, September and December representing those key months. Indeed, one specific issue or a series of events may well link all these months. Thus, it may help to go back to December of last year and March of this in order to get a flavour of what is to come in June. Put another way, don’t start out this month will the impression that it’s going to be one long holiday: there will be big issues to deal with, and hoping that they’ll just go away is not an appropriate response! Things can get very fluid and blurry in Pisces land, but situations are going to be black and white in June, particularly during the first seventeen days.
Aside from global upsets, of which there is likely to be more than one, the direction in which you’re headed, first as regards your job, and, second, home and family life, may well change, hopefully due to decisions that you will feel ready to make, rather than a response to outside circumstances. Once again, it is those of you with birthdays in late February and between the 9th and 13th March that are top of the list when it comes to forks in your life-path. If the writing appears on the wall now, do not ignore what it says: look into matters and be brave enough to confront people or organizations in order to clarify and ultimately strengthen your position.
It takes a cosmos like this to get certain aspects of your life on track, so whether you’re delighted by what happens in June or somewhat deflated, you will benefit in the long run.
1st July 2004 - 31st July 2004 July finds a cluster of planets in the creative and pleasure-oriented fifth house, but with a full moon and Saturn to contend with too, it seems some of the creativity and pleasure amounts to a lot of hard work.
The little things of life reveal their importance now, whether you find yourself dealing with babies and children or recognizing that happiness and fulfilment cannot be measured in material terms: you need to feel loved and to give love; you require creative satisfaction in life generally and with your job in particular. To this end, the full moon of the 2nd and the sun-Saturn conjunction of the 8th make early July a time of creative fulfilment or a period when you see where your energies and hopes have been mis-directed. Even if events at this time are the stuff of triumph and achievement, there will nonetheless be an aura of effort and seriousness about them.
Ruler, Neptune, takes centre stage between the 10th and 17th so while your imagination and spirits may be soaring, the there will also be a trend for confusion and chaos. Do your best to keep track of plans and arrangements because the information highway will not be functioning as one might hope! By sharp contrast, a romantic date could turn out to be the stuff of your dreams and while miracles might not be commonplace exactly, there is an element of divine providence surrounding events.
You will also need to be a little more focused where work is concerned: there could be wild rumours circulating around the office, and there could be an unexpected resignation or an out of the blue development that affects your working routine. Certainly, on or near the 25th a situation that has been brewing comes to the boil and actions and statements made on or around this weekend will have far-reaching consequences.
1st August 2004 - 31st August 2004 You know, that old cliché - don’t worry, be happy - could prove to be your guiding light this month. There’s not a lot you can do about other people’s decisions and actions: it’s just one of those times when you have to stand back and let them do their stuff. You could more usefully occupy yourself setting your own back yard to rights, and by this I don’t necessarily mean renting a skip and hiring a landscape-gardener, but dealing with loose ends, completing unfinished business and making sure you’re squeaky clean on every front.
Health and fitness come under the astro-microscope: there could be minor troubles to resolve, and if other people are indeed proving tedious and trying, getting into some exercise, sport or physical work could prove to be the ideal antidote. The efforts you make to improve the body beautiful and increase energy levels will not be wasted!
Mercury, the travel and communication chief, is on retreat between the 10th and 30th, so journeys of the terrestrial and metaphorical kind will be time consuming and convoluted. This does not mean you will not reach your destination but it does imply you will need patience and a set of contingency plans.
The weekend of the 1st and the period between the 17th and 28th put Uranus on the map, so especially if you have a late February birthday, changes to your agenda are virtually a certainty. You will not be able to predict how people will act at this time, and partners could prove particularly unreliable, even the source of some surprises. And since Uranus is in your sign, you too could pull out of an arrangement or end a relationship. Uranus, is not known as the great liberator for nothing - this planet releases you from commitments that have outlived their usefulness, and it helps you bring dormant talents and feelings out into the open. Indeed, this latter period of August and early-to-mid September could turn out to be one of the most life-defining moments of the last few years.
1st September 2004 - 30th September 2004 Now, there is a theory that if you make a friend of Pluto, this planet will work a minor miracle for you: he'll shift grid-locked situations and turn what looked to be a looming disaster into a brilliant success. The question is: how do you make a friend of this planet, and overnight, since he is about to give of his best, not just to the sign of Pisces but also to the whole zodiac?
Making a friend of Pluto is a euphemism for being able to take an out of the blue event, usually an unwelcome one, and turn it into a useful, even positive experience. And you'll have plenty of opportunities to acquire this technique over the next few weeks. A series of hard angles to Pluto takes place between the 7th and 22nd, and since this planet is currently in the zone of ambitions and life-direction, even if you do not decide to throw up your job or change your home location, events could cause you to consider such possibilities in the future. Once again it is the 7th - 15th March birthdays that are the principle focus for Pluto's transformative work this year, and it may help to go back to March or June of 2004 to consider those events in light of present situations.
There is also a strong emphasis on relationships - all relationships that is, not just romantic ones. On the one hand, September is a month when other people's lives impact on yours, changing your plans and shifting the balance of power in the relationship. You will have to be available to others, in the sense of listening to their needs and accepting their advice. On the other hand, the month ahead may well reveal just who loves and supports you, and who does not. Pluto brings out the best and worst in life in general and people in particular. My advice is to play a defensive game - wait until other people reveal their hands before you make your play and up the ante.
On the 25th Jupiter leaves the relationship area of your solar chart, but just before he goes he makes a truly brilliant connection to the sun (21st September). Should you be taking your marriage vows around this time or a new romantic interest shows up - or, indeed a new beginning of any sort takes place - have every confidence in its bright future.
1st October 2004 - 31st October 2004 October is the big money month of 2004. Yes, you can make more money, but the more important factor is that you can put your financial empire onto a better footing. Pisceans have a reputation - not in my book, of course - of sticking their heads in the sand over finances and being deliberately vague about the state of bank accounts and credit-card spending, but not so this month: you'll be making appointments with financial institutions and talking money turkey with partners. At least, that's the theory! In practice, events may conspire to make you look financial facts in the face, whether you realize a monetary route has come to a halt, cash-flow is in crisis or whether you are on the receiving end of an unexpected windfall. And the dates when reality is likely to set in and when solid steps can be taken, are on or near the 13th and 20th.
Lovely Venus will be transiting the zone of love and relating, so you are not without your supporters or your moments in the sun. This could be a premium month for Piscean nuptials, and if you have been a member of the lonely hearts club for far too long, Venus could bring a new romantic interest into your life. Venus meets Uranus (6th) and Pluto (20th) so these will tend to be dates around which the big romantic and relationship developments of the month take place. Both Uranus and Pluto have a way of making events seem very fateful, so, on the one hand, you may have the strong sense that you were meant to be in a certain place at a certain time, but you should also be careful with what you say and do around these dates - think ponds and ripples.
Two eclipses also add to the fateful aura of October's events - and, once again, we can expect to see some big waves in political and international circles. While the solar eclipse of the 14th could open a new financial door for you, the total lunar eclipse of the 28th could signal the end of a contract or the signing of a new agreement.
1st November 2004 - 30th November 2004 Your eyes should be firmly trained on distant targets, whether this manifests as travel and connections with people and places far away or whether you are looking to expand your professional and personal horizons. Certainly, this is one month when you should actively seek opportunities to stretch your talents, widen your interests and venture into new territory of one sort or another. Finances and close relationships are also in the frame, and although I often encourage you to initiate the moves this is a month when you should wait and see what other people can offer you, and what exactly are on other people's agendas. Venus and Mars make a sexy couple in the dark depths of the eighth house so for some Pisceans this is going to be a very hot and steamy few weeks. Enough said.
As per usual, we do not have a completely clear field as far as the more demanding planets and their aspects are concerned: Saturn and Uranus dominate the astrology this month, and since these two planets have entirely different characters you can expect a diverse array of events, and, perhaps, to experience a pattern of stops and starts. Fortunately, Saturn is in a compatible sign with Pisces, so any Saturnian hold ups and reality checks will tend to be in your favour. Uranus is, of course, in your very own sign and this month helping the 20th - 25th February birthdays see where a radical shake up is necessary. The weekend of the 6th puts Saturn and Uranus centre stage, the 20th sees Saturn at his realistic best and Uranus will be at his volatile maximum between the 23rd and 27th.
On the 30th little Mercury does a backwards flip, making mincemeat of communications for the following three weeks.
1st December 2004 - 31st December 2004 Planets in the areas of far horizons and life-goals give the appearance of an extremely go-ahead month, however, transport chief, Mercury, is retrograde until the 20th so getting anywhere fast and in a straight line looks to be a challenge in itself. Of course, retrograde Mercurys have their uses, and you may be able to hook up with a friend or relative you have not seen for years or there could be other reasons why the past comes rather beautifully into the present.
For the last few Decembers Pluto has made an appearance, so you may be able to cast your mind back and recall some pre-Christmas events of recent years that have left their mark. This December Pluto will be centre-stage between the 7th and 14th, so especially if you have a 10th-14th March birthday this is a time to expect suppressed issues and feelings to surface, and for situations that have been percolating gently to come to the boil. Now, this does not necessarily mean this mid-December period is going to be difficult: some Pisceans may have a wish fulfilled while others will experience a happy event that has been long-awaited, however, if you sense that a situation is hanging on by a thread events of mid-December may prove to be the last straw, so to speak. Also, if you have been nurturing misgivings about a situation, perhaps the time has come to walk away from it.
Uranus is another contender for the planet-most-likely-to-amaze in December: the 19th and 31st are days when Uranus is at his most effective, helping you break down barriers of your own making and to release yourself from time-worn habits and habitats. Indeed, with Venus and Mars in the ninth house of long-distance travel, some Pisceans will be heading off to very distant parts this December. However, especially if you have a birthday on or near 25th February, you are going through a period of considerable change, and these same dates could coincide with events that radically alter your life-horizons. I often refer to Uranus as the Great Awakener, and at the very least you should entertain the thought of changing certain aspects of your life next, should they be preventing you from fulfilling your talents and your needs.
And with Uranus welcoming in the New Year, this idea may turn into action in the early days of 2005.
1st January 2005 - 31st January 2005 The one truly predictable thing about January is that it follows December! Now, before you leave to visit another astrology website, let me explain that with Mars and Uranus seeing out the old year and Venus, Mercury and Pluto welcoming in the new one, anything and everything may happen! Uranus and Pluto are brilliant at helping you get rid of aspects of your life that you don't need, but while you may be delighted to throw out the turkey and the Christmas tree, you may be less pleased with a short-fall in your bank account or a commitment (professional or personal) that may be looking distinctly, well, last year!
It could be that the events of early to mid-December are lingering on, so that as soon as the Christmas/New Year festivities are over, you have to get back to dealing with unfinished business. On the other hand, it may be that a new issue comes to light, necessitating a re-think over a job or a relationship. Especially if you have a late February or mid-March birthday, Uranus and Pluto are in a long process of transforming your life for the better, and in this process elements of the past must be shed for the new to take root. And this effect may be particularly noticeable in the first ten days of January and the last week. This is an excellent month to begin a new endeavour and a perfect period to implement those New Year's resolutions and affirmations.
Friendships and collaborations are a major theme for January, and if you have been considering starting a business project with a colleague or friend, or wanting to spend time with friends as opposed to family, you have the stars right behind you. Also, when the sun enters the low key twelfth house on the 19th, you will have an opportunity to put a health wrong to rights and to focus on getting the mind, body and spirit into perfect equilibrium.
1st February 2005 - 28th February 2005 The twelfth house of the solar chart is a place of secrets and extreme strangeness, so with the sun, Mercury and Venus all passing through this area in February, you will need to feel your way very carefully. On the plus side a twelfth house transit plugs you into the inner world of the spirit and attunes you to the mystical and the divine. However, with your attention on the inner things of life, you can lose your grip on reality. Now, I don't mean to be rude here, I am merely explaining why you may feel less connected with the every day world and more vulnerable and dreamy. And speaking of dreams, this is an excellent few weeks to keep a journal of your dreams, because within their fleeting, random images could be some genuine clues as to the real nature of situations and also hints of future developments.
It is difficult for any of us to avoid Valentines Day - everywhere in the high street there is evidence of this over-commercialized anniversary. However, this is not really Pisces month with the mostest when it comes to love and romance - March and July/August have that honour. Of course, if you have selected February to marry or become engaged this does not mean you won't have a wonderful time, but if you are single or hoping that your significant other will produce the goods, maybe next year!
February is an excellent month to put your health under the microscope and to take time out to pamper yourself: inner and outer equilibrium is what you should be aiming for, so cutting down on social commitments and avoiding people who and activities that stress you out is strongly recommended. Consider you are re-charging your physical, emotional and mental batteries in preparation for the eventful months ahead - March being one of them. If, you cannot get to grips with a situation or someone is behaving strangely, avoid making a move until the sun enters your sign on the 18th. Once the sun is in Pisces, you will have more vitality and clarity: you will be more able to unravel mysteries and exert your influence over situations.
A series of aspects to Uranus between the 20th and 26th and a full moon (24th) make for a powerful end to February. Uranus is both the most exciting and innovative planet in the solar system, yet also the most disruptive. Thus, especially if you have a February birthday this period of the year could alter your life-map in some way, and it will certainly blow away the cobwebs, wherever they may be and whomever they may be upon!
1st March 2005 - 31st March 2005 Get ready for one of the most dynamic months of 2005. A series of aspects to Pluto will change the landscape for many Pisceans, especially those with mid-March birthdays, and we're not just talking travel here, but situations that dramatically alter your opinions, feelings and future plans.
This trend may well have already begun towards the end of February, when Uranus, the Great Awakener, was in charge. Especially if you have a February birthday, you may have experienced an epiphany that promised to send you in a whole new direction. Alternatively, someone else could have taken an action that upset the smooth running of life, if not a lot more besides. But what Uranus does in short sharp bursts, Pluto performs in glorious techni-colour and stereophonic sound. Pluto, like a mole, insinuates himself into our lives: we don't really know what's going on because it's happening out of sight, slowly and stealthily. Then suddenly there's an eruption. When Pluto is connecting with a planet or point in your chart, which is why I've mentioned the mid-March birthdays, it takes at least eighteen months for the process of transformation to be completed, but the key events that contribute to that overall life change tend to happen at times when Pluto is strongly aspected by the sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus - times such as the 1st, 10th, 14th and 18th of this March.
For many Pisceans March could be a month of big job developments. The tenth house of career and life direction is in the frame, so this is both a time when you can change your course, or other people do it for you. It is a time when a wonderful opportunity can come your way, and a time when an old way of life can come to an end. You do have more control of events than you may think now, so don't be afraid to take a strong stance on issues you feel passionate about, and once the dust has settled you will find alternative routes open to you. Much the same advice applies to relationships: simmering issues come to boiling point under Pluto, vague fears and anxieties become jumbo-sized yet lukewarm feelings become gloriously passionate, either way the dynamics, and the future, of the relationship will be changed.
The 20th is another important date in your astrological diary: the sun heads into the zone of finances - more about this next month - Mars enters the twelfth house of secrets and mysteries and travel-chief, Mercury goes into retrograde. And with Easter taking place a few days later, leave plenty of time for journeys, and expect to be dealing with ancient history at some point during the Easter weekend.
1st April 2005 - 30th April 2005 With a trio of planetary influences in the zone of values and valuables, money and self-esteem look to be at the core of many of April's events. It could be a case of money coming in through one door and going out again almost immediately, or you could be making a large investment in your future, whether in strictly financial terms or emotional ones. Resources are clearly under the spotlight, and even if this does not manifest as major financial developments, your sense of emotional security could be at issue in a relationship. Jupiter's transit of the eighth house of emotional and financial exchange (October 2004 - October 2005) is encouraging you to expect more from others, especially in the way of intimacy and financial support, and this trend reaches something of a peak around the 2nd and 28th of April.
Between the 7th and 12th, a combination of a solar eclipse and Saturn could make a big difference to the financial or emotional status-quo. But just in case this period produces little of note, do not assume that nothing is happening. Eclipses have a lifespan of some three to six months, so minor issues arising in early April could have big consequences by October. Thus, if you meet someone at this time, the relationship could have more power than you think, and a small financial opportunity could prove to be a worthwhile long-term investment. Likewise, if a small distress signal is issued by an individual or an organization, do not ignore it.
Mars meets your ruler, Neptune, on 13th, making you super sensitive to undercurrents in the world around you. Pisceans are by nature very intuitive but this alignment makes you particularly so. You might find yourself soaking up other people's emotions and responding to all manner of subliminal messages, however, avoid over-reacting to such things since Neptune is the master of illusion and what you think is happening might not be happening at all. By the end of the month Neptune is once again centre-stage, either assisting you on a romantic journey or leading you astray in a fog of miscommunication and deception. The lunar eclipse of the 24th adds to the mystery that is communications: a journey with important implications is one interpretation, a discussion or meeting that alters your long-term horizons is another.
All in all a month to remember.
1st May 2005 - 31st May 2005 All you ever wanted to know about communications - and more - is the subject of May's curious stars. And with feisty Mars entering your sign on the 1st for a six-week visit, your adventurous spirit is released (you did know you had one, didn't you?) and instead of going with the flow, you'll be heading upstream, against the current and enjoying every minute of it.
While May is a lot smoother astrologically-speaking than April, there are still some challenging periods - the first of which may well appear on the weekend of the 7th, and the second between the 12th and 19th. On the 7th communication expert, Mercury, is in square to C.E.O., Saturn, thus setting the stage for a serious discussion and/or a wake-up call. At the same time Neptune muddies the waters, creating smoke and mirrors and a whole lot of self-doubt. My advice is to acquire some distance and perspective before following the dictates of your heart, and maybe, just maybe, the time for action will come on the 15th.
Between the 12th and 19th, Uranus is in charge, generating sparks of one description or another. Uranus is the master of the surprise move, and since this planet is currently in your sign, you are subject to many sudden changes yet at the same time dormant talents and feelings are emerging. Some Pisceans - especially the February birthdays - may have experienced a profound awakening already, while for others this is yet to come: Uranus will change the way you see the world. With this in mind, the Venus and Mars connections to Uranus during mid-May, could release some of that potential for change: you might find yourself demanding more space and freedom to pursue your own interests or you could simply become more spontaneous and break away from home (or a relationship) at a moment's notice. Indeed, mid-May could seem like one unexpected diversion and dilemma after another.
A combination of Neptune, Pluto and the full moon make the last nine days of the month interesting to say the least. You will need to tread carefully along the information highway, and the motorway, since losing your way could be an occupational hazard! The full moon of the 23rd flanks the life-direction axis and may manifest as a conflict between your job/role in life and home/personal life. Since full moons inflate emotions, you could be under stress at work and longing to escape to the sanctuary of home, or, on the positive side, the completion of a job could be the source of jubilant feelings. This theme is repeated on the 29th, by the Venus and Pluto opposition on the same axis - power struggles at work or with an authority figure could erupt, leading to slammed doors, if not a resignation. On a more optimistic note you could be offered a fantastic new opportunity, which will give you more power and responsibility.
1st June 2005 - 30th June 2005 Home is where the heart is - or not as the case may be this month. The astrological focus is on the fourth house of home, family, beginnings and endings, and, whether your heart is truly here or not, one way or another domestic issues will be demanding your attention. By the way, the reason I am questioning your devotion to the above, is that Uranus is urging some of you (particularly those born around the end of February / beginning of March) to break away and express yourself more freely, and liberation is not always a theme welcomed by the family! The Uranus effect is particularly strong around the 1st and 2nd of the month, potentially manifesting as a degree of discord on home territory or unexpected events could necessitate sudden expenditure - a breakage that requires repair or replacement, for instance - and thanks to the new moon of the 6th fresh starts on the home front are writ large in your stars.
When I looked at the alignments for 2005 I considered June to be one of the big months of the year, if not the big month: the end of May ushered in a cycle of Uranus and Pluto aspects, which will take until 15th June to complete. Break-throughs and break-downs are the hallmark of Uranus and Pluto, a theme which is likely to emerge in global affairs as well as our individual lives. While Uranus is in your sign urging you to express your individuality and to break away from restrictive situations, Pluto is in the tenth house of career and life-direction, forging slow but nonetheless great change in your life-style and your life goals. Thus, this mid-year period is a time when many Pisceans could throw up an old way of life and head resolutely in a brand new direction. Yet, if I'm honest, the first half of June looks to be somewhat volatile and rather stressful on the nervous system!
On the 21st, the sun heads into the pleasure zone of your solar chart, bringing creative endeavours, social activities and romance to the fore. You may not be the most sports-oriented sign of the zodiac but from this point on, exercise and competitive games will add quality to life, and for some Pisceans a serious success is on its way. Bringing new life into the world is another promising prospect, whether a new project begins or the patter of tiny feet are about to be heard. And although the last weekend of the month contains a degree of seriousness and hard work, there is also a sense of joy in a job well done.
1st July 2005 - 31st July 2005 After the slings and arrows of June, Uranus and Pluto take their leave of you so you should find July a lot easier on the nervous system. Indeed, with the sun transiting the creative and pleasure-oriented fifth house, there should be some upbeat social events to attend, and children could be the source of pride and happiness. There could also be a generous supply of romance. Of course, there will be the occasional blot on the astrological landscape, and this is most likely to appear during the last ten days.
Mars and Jupiter will be flanking the financial axis for much of the month, so you're either in the money or seriously strapped for cash - there are no half measures with these two planets. While I would encourage you to make sound financial moves now and to have confidence in your plans, you should avoid getting in too deep. Windfalls can be expected for some Pisceans, settlements for a few and for most, a desire to spend money and to invest in items of value and in people you love. The first week of July sees the most activity in your bank account, and the greatest opportunities to invest in your future. Yet if there have been rumbling problems, a cash-flow crisis could arise.
The full moon of the 21st cuts across the creative axis of your solar chart, and it marks the end of a gestation period. Now, this may translate quite literally for some Pisceans since a baby is set to arrive in the near future, but for most celestial Fish this concept of a gestation period relates to projects and relationships. This full moon will reveal the weaknesses and strengths of alliances and endeavours, and it is the appropriate time to end a commitment or put a project on a long-term footing. Since the cosmos turns a little pear-shaped from this point, don't be too surprised if you experience a U-turn of some description: if someone pulls out of an arrangement or you get a refusal, try not to wallow in self-pity but leave matters on ice until later in August, then try again.
Mercury will head on a retreat from the 23rd - perfect for taking time out, but not so wonderful if you have travel plans. Taking it slow and taking your patience pills are recommended from this point onwards.
1st August 2005 - 31st August 2005 If you tend to find every August hard work, there's a good reason. It is at this time of year that the sun moves through the sixth house of work and service, so even if you're not labouring at the office you'll be slaving away on behalf of others and performing duties of one sort or another. Ideally, this month's effort-evoking stars should be put to good use, organizing those areas of life that are in a state of chaos, and embarking on a streamlining exercise of some description. Speaking of which, August is a premium month for putting the body-beautiful through its paces and attending to any health issues.
The only problem with putting this advice into practice is that Neptune, the planet of divine moments and unreal events, is centre stage throughout the whole month, and this planet is counterproductive to organization and fact-finding missions. Also, until the 16th, communication agent, Mercury, is on a retreat so getting anywhere fast and in a straight line is going to be a challenge to say the least. You will need to treat information reaching you with a degree of scepticism, and if you have no idea where truth lies or in which direction you should be heading, stand still until you do. The plus factor to this astrological combo is that things of a spiritual and artistic nature are at a premium, and by deliberately pursuing such practices as yoga and meditation you can lose the little-me and connect with your higher-self, who knows all the answers!
Lovely Venus will be wending her way through the area of relationships until the 17th so technically you are in a phase when other people are impressed by your talents and deeply affected by your charms. If you're single and looking for lurve, get on your bike because this is one of the year's best times to meet new partners, and if you've set the date for a wedding, anniversary or reunion, you've got the one planet you need working her magic for you. The Venus-Pluto square of the 10th could rock the romantic boat, however, and especially if you have a mid-March birthday this period of August could destabilize a long-standing relationship or urge one or both of you to throw in the towel. September contains further aspects along these same lines, so if in August you sense the drumbeat of change or you start developing strong feelings for another person, it may only be a matter of weeks before possibilities become realities. Indeed with the 1st of September sporting a sun-Uranus opposition, the last week of August could prove to be a Krakatoa!
1st September 2005 - 30th September 2005 Feeling a little bored with life? Stuck in a rut? You may well eat your words if September's stars have anything to do with it. Until the 22nd, the sun and Mercury will be moving through the relationship zone, encouraging you to talk through issues great and small with partners and colleagues. It is a month when other people's lives impact on yours. And although there will be times when you can set the pace and put your wishes first, in September it's your turn to let others have their say.
The month opens on a spectacular note with a sun-Uranus opposition flanking the relationship axis. Especially if you have a late February or early March birthday, a relationship could reach a turning point in the early days of September. Certainly, should a romance, marriage or business association have been hanging on by a thread, this tweak by Uranus could be all it needs to finally sever the connection. By contrast, a union could be born, suddenly and unexpectedly. Uranus is the freedom-fighter of the planetary team, so for the aforementioned birthday group in particular, this has been and continues to be a year of great change and personal liberation. With this in mind the events of late August and early-to-mid September help you break old patterns and head into new territory. And if you want a Uranus early-warning signal, this planet will be in action on the 1st, 3rd, 9th and 10th.
Pluto also has a part to play in September's events. This planet is moving through the area of career and life direction, and is especially active this year in the lives of Pisceans with mid-March birthdays. Pluto brings deeply buried feelings to the surface, it also compels us to act on our deepest desires. Thus, mid-September may well be a time when you make an all-or-nothing decision or you are on the receiving end of someone else's. Other people will have had a big hand in any career changes at this point, and you may need to dig into the past to discover why someone has either vaunted you to a high place or demoted you. Pluto is centre stage of cosmic affairs on the 11th/12th, 14th, 16th and 24th.
September is another of those months when world affairs take the spotlight, so even if you do not remember this month for the way life changed for you, other people will.
1st October 2005 - 30th October 2005 Until the 23rd the sun will be transiting the most intimate and complex zone of your solar chart. This eighth house covers such things as joint resources, emotional and sexual exchange and those events in life that bring out the best and worst in us and our partners. So, for many of you October is all about becoming more financial secure and making the accounts balance - both in an emotional and financial sense - and it is about restructuring loans and making sound investments. This October, however, is different from those in the past since there are two eclipses: the first, a solar eclipse, takes place on the 3rd and the second, a lunar eclipse occurs on the 17th. These eclipses should be seen as a pair of bookends - one starting a new cycle for financial and emotional exchange and the other closing one. This could be marked by a financial settlement, a windfall, an inheritance or developments in a partner's life that impact on yours.
On the 8th Venus reaches the zenith of your solar chart, thereby earmarking a month of encouraging developments in your career. This planet will also allow others, especially employers or people of power and influence, to see you in a favourable light, so if you are seeking promotion, a pay rise or a favour of any description, now's the time to market yourself.
On the 23rd, the sun, closely followed by Jupiter (26th) enters the sign of Scorpio, thus highlighting your zone of distant horizons. Jupiter will remain here over the next year, during which time you will benefit from exploring new territories, either by travelling, studying or venturing into the unknown. Foreign people as well as countries could also come into your life and open new doors for you. It's also possible that you could experience a religious awakening of some sort, but, whatever gifts Jupiter brings to you, they will be of a spiritual nature, making you a wiser and more complete person. Pisceans do not normally have a problem getting in touch with this side of their nature, but Jupiter in Scorpio will encourage you to go deeper and find a new kind of fulfilment.
The month ends on a suitably transformational note, with Venus and Pluto conjoining on the weekend of the 29th. Especially if you have a birthday in mid-March the end of October looks to be a turning point, and certainly a time when passions of one sort or another are raised. As with all things Plutonic, acquiescing to events rather than fighting them is recommended - once the sediment has settled you will be able to see what has been lost and what has been gained.
1st November 2005 - 30th November 2005
With the sun and Jupiter transiting the far horizons sector of your solar chart, your thoughts could be on distant people and places, whether you will be travelling this month, making plans to do so later in the year or meeting up with individuals and organizations from afar. Indeed, the new moon of the 2nd, which takes place in this same sector, could foreshadow a move abroad, whether for a few weeks or something more permanent. This new moon could also be a precursor to your taking a course of higher education or exploring a new religion or philosophy. Whatever the case, the 'energy' of the sun and new moon will fill you with enthusiasm for something new and different. However...the very next day, ( 3rd ) you could be talking yourself out of any bold moves because Saturn is putting on the brakes and reminding you of your responsibilities! Perhaps you feel tied down because of your work commitments, and hesitant to burn your bridges. But whether you like it or not, your life is undergoing changes. More of this later.
On the 7th, Neptune, your ruler, is squaring up to the sun and Mars creating what can only be described as a thick fog. Indeed, you can almost put a red circle around the first fourteen days of the month since a powerful alignment involving Neptune, Saturn, the sun and Mars will be prevailing. Life could indeed be very confusing at this time: you might be receiving mixed signals from other people, and possibly sending some of your own. Thus, check and double-check your information and don't put your signature to anything unless you are 100% sure of your facts. As soon as this alignment has faded, Mercury performs an about-turn remaining in retrograde until 4th December, so communications are bound to have their little problems... If you find yourself involved in discussions with senior figures or legal / bureaucratic organizations, avoid being too aggressive. It may be that resentment has been building up inside you over a long period of time and you need to release the pressure slowly and calmly for maximum effect. And if a project does hit the skids, avoid heading into despair mode because once Mercury has turned direct it could be back on board.
Our friend, Uranus, will also be back in business as we reach the end of the month, so your tolerance for frustration and disappointment will be minimal, yet at the same time your talent for invention and your ability to reinvent yourself will be at maximum, especially if you have an early March birthday. On or near the 27th use the spectacular power of Jupiter and Uranus to bring something new into being, and you should interpret events at this time as a sign of great things to come.
1st December 2005 - 31st December 2005 December finds the sun in the most go-ahead zone of your solar chart, encouraging you to make strides in your career and to focus on those long-term ambitions of yours. Yes, there will be plenty of time for parties and celebrations but these powerful influences should be used as a raft to take you to a new era of success and fulfilment. However, what takes you to that new era, especially if you have one of those 1st or 15th March birthdays, could prove - yes, here comes that lovely word - challenging.
The aforementioned birthday groups are in a two-year period of change and transformation, and the events that help this process to unfold tend to appear in the months of March, June, September and December. Sometimes, a Pluto period will go past with little to say for itself, yet at other times, all sorts of issues come up to be dealt with and some of the events can be trying to say the least. The 1st and 2nd, the 13th - 20th and the 31st December are all periods when Pluto is centre stage, so you will have opportunities to re-write one of your life scripts and to throw out anything that is standing in the way of your talents and your destiny. Now, tough as this may seem, these periods may also turn out to be full of wonderful events - a birth or a new beginning is on its way for many Pisceans - so while there is a need to raise your awareness of pitfalls and problems in December you should also prepare yourself for some rewards and fun moments. Technically, the 'big' developments of December will be related to your career or role in life, and this is definitely a time when some celestial Fish will be giving up their old jobs or their old way of life for an radically different new one.
I particularly like the days on or near the 5th and 23rd, which look up-beat in the main and should be chosen to initiate a major move. However, the 15th and 31st could prove to be rather too hot to handle!
1st January 2006 - 31st January 2006 I hope you're planning to have a little fun in January because with a cluster of planets in the zone of friendship and collaboration this is one of the premium periods of the year for combining your resources with like-minded individuals. Thus, a holiday with friends, the start of a brand new project at work could be the reasons why January is full of astrological promise.
For the first two weeks the alignments are largely easy and conducive to pleasure and progress, but the tempo changes on the 14th with a full moon and a Mars-Jupiter opposition. While these two astro-events could coincide with a celebration, should there be tensions or problems, especially with an association or collaborative project, these difficulties could be amplified, potentially leading to splits and certainly some threats and promises. Creatively speaking this is a peak moment, however, so while you yourself may not be bringing new life into the world, you could hear news of a birth of some description close at hand.
Since the beginning of November a Grand Cross configuration has been in play and it is largely responsible for any sense of frustration you may have experienced with someone or something. On or near the 2nd, 18th and 27th this Grand Cross comes back to life, so to speak, coinciding with a mysterious development or a feeling of disappointment and anxiety. Unless you have some real facts to go on, I urge you to put any negative feelings on hold and wait until the situation fully unravels. The rumour mill will be grinding on overtime around these dates, and you should aim to distance yourself from people who are fanning the fire.
On the 20th the sun slips into the shrouded twelfth house in preparation for a return to your sign later in February. Thus, this date marks the beginning of a short period in which you should put mind, body and spirit to the fore and cut down your social schedule. The weekend on the 28th is all about heart and soul, and whatever the events of that time, viewing them through a spiritual lens will make a huge difference,
1st February 2006 - 28th February 2006 You can be forgiven for feeling ever so slightly out of tune with life, and probably awash with doubts and uncertainties. As the month begins the sun and Mercury are transiting the obscure twelfth house making you feel less in control of your life and somewhat vulnerable and unfocused. The plus to this transit is that things of an inner nature positively thrive, which means your dream life could be riveting and your psychic powers will be supercharged. Not that you should allow all those insights and intuitions to guide your every move - in the world of the twelfth house, irrational fears and unrealistic hopes also flourish.
February is a month when health matters should be brought to the fore. If you have any worries, these should be attended to, and if you're still not over the excesses of the Christmas season, it's time to bring into being a new health, fitness and eating plan. Some Pisces may find their immune systems a little sluggish, which means you will be more susceptible to the coughs, colds and sneezies doing the rounds, so take your astrologer's advice and have some early nights and keep your schedule as light as possible. The full moon of the 13th will tend to bring any weaknesses to light so especially over the previous weekend and Monday 13th, avoid those people who and those situations that stress you out.
Valentine's Day finds Mercury in conjunction with unpredictable Uranus, so surprise developments are the name of the game. Technically, with these two planets in your sign it is you who should be making any surprise moves or acting in a liberating manner. However, if things do not go quite as you had hoped, do your best to fight any frustration and anger and wait until the dust has settled. For most Pisceans any unwelcome developments around Valentines Day will be quick to resolve - they'll be the proverbial storm in a teacup - but, if you have a 1st or 15th March birthday the drum-beat of change is to be heard beating long and loud.
On the 18th the sun arrives in your sign bringing with it renewed energy and resolve - some of those things that have been steeped in mystery will begin to unravel and you'll have the focus and the courage to deal with anything and anyone. Mars will have reached the base of your chart the day before, so activity and change, especially on the home front can be expected from this point.
The month ends with a new moon in Pisces - a sign of growth and new life input - and since Mercury and Pluto will also be in square aspect, this is the perfect moment to start a major spring-cleaning exercise, whatever the real season.
1st March 2006 - 31st March 2006 Are you in rock and roll mode? I hope so, because there's going to be no lazing around watching the world go by under these stars. Right from the beginning of March, Uranus cracks the whip and insists that you wake up to a few facts, if only your own feelings which you have been avoiding. And if that fails to arouse you, perhaps the lunar eclipse of the 14th will do the trick. Of which more later.
March is a pivotal month for the whole zodiac: it begins with a volatile sun-Uranus conjunction and ends on a total solar eclipse in Aries, and in between there are tough connections to Saturn and Pluto, not to mention a retrograde Mercury. Clearly, the next six to eight weeks are going to produce some powerful events on the world's stage, and we can expect to see some leadership changes, a reshuffle or two in the corridors of power, even a natural or not-so-natural disaster. And where travel and communications are concerned, we can forget about getting anywhere in a hurry and a straight line. Of course, tough alignments produce wonderful events too so don't rule out announcements of marriage in royal/celebrity circles and a major scientific or medical break-through.
With the sun in your sign, you should have the wind in your sails, however, the effect other people have on your direction cannot be underestimated. The lunar eclipse of the 14th is the first in a cycle that will bring many changes into your life, especially if you have a mid-March birthday: indeed, you can think of this as the beginning of a two-year period in which what currently constitutes the shape and texture of life will radically alter - and for the better. The reason I say this is not only because of the eclipse cycle but also Pluto - a planet that transforms your thinking and being at a fundamental level. The months of March and April bring relationships into the foreground, as does September. Thus, it may be that a relationship begun in the next few weeks will reach a significant crossroads in September - marriage in some cases, and the end of a beautiful friendship in others - but whatever the ultimate denouement, it is the effect the person (or organization) has on you that changes the shape and texture of your life.
The eclipse of the 29th is a total solar one, and it falls in the area of finances and self-worth. Here we are looking at the prospect of a new financial order coming in before June, whether this translates as a new income structure, a windfall, a settlement or a major financial commitment, such as the purchase of a property or the investment in a company - perhaps the decision to become self-employed. Pisceans tend to underestimate themselves, but this solar eclipse is urging you to see yourself as full of value - a process that will help you find the emotional, professional or financial fulfilment that you desire.
1st April 2006 - 30th April 2006 April brings issues about self-worth to the forefront of life. On the one hand, events may urge you to consider how much value you place on yourself as a person and your talents and, on the other, you could be reflecting on just how much you are worth in terms of money and assets. Other people figure in these assessments, whether a partner or organization makes you feel loved and valued - or quite the reverse - or whether you are able to make a major financial investment or forced to confront the unpalatable truth that there is a serious shortfall in your bank account. Fortunately, Venus will be transiting your sign from the 6th onwards, so you have a genuine ace up your sleeve when it comes to divine protection and sheer good luck. We'll talk more about Venus shortly.
The week of the 3rd finds Mars and Pluto in opposition, thus upping the potential for conflict and certainly confrontation. We will surely see some impressive results of escalating tension in the Middle East prior to Easter, and the Bush administration will have to be very careful how it plays events in the early to mid part of this month. While in the Christian World Easter is a time of celebration, for many other creeds it is simply business as usual. This opposition flanks the life-direction axis of your solar chart, so especially if you have a mid-March birthday this is one of the optimum periods of 2006 in which to make a major change in your living or working circumstances. Push comes to shove under Pluto, so if you've been teetering on the brink of moving house or changing jobs, this may well be the signal for such scenarios to come about. As always, endings and beginnings are the theme of Pluto, so do watch a tendency to burn your bridges at this time - actions taken in the heat of the moment are oft regretted.
But back to Venus. Venus has everything to do with love and romance, so April could be a key period for your love life. On the 18th Uranus adds his two-pence-worth and on the 30th Pluto makes his presence felt, so around these dates the potential for the unexpected and the unusual is high. While it might be wonderful to be swept off your feet by someone you meet, it is not so wonderful when a relationship careers off course due to some out of the blue circumstance. Early March birthdays are front of the queue when it comes to those sudden storms of love - either way, do your best to keep your feet on the ground. Another feature of this Venus transit is the need to bring more beauty into your life, so don't be surprised if you start splashing out on a new look, both in regard to your personal appearance and your surroundings.
1st May 2006 - 31st May 2006 If you suddenly experience the urge to put some distance between yourself and your familiar surroundings, you can cheerfully blame it on your stars. The zone of travel and communication is in the spotlight, inviting you to exchange ideas and opinions with others and acquire a broader view of life. Venus will spend almost the entire month in the area of money and self-worth, so in this case, you will not be able to blame your stars for any loss of income or dip in your popularity level. And if you do nothing else in May, you should affirm your abundant gifts and ensure that you are treated as you deserve - and that doesn't mean like a doormat but as a precious jewel!
One of the most fascinating features of May's astrology is the presence of a Grand Cross - an alignment of four or more planets, made up of squares and oppositions, which is in play between the 4th and 15th. Without becoming too technical, when planets are in this tense alignment, they bring all manner of issues to crunch point, and there is a feeling of having reached a giant cross-roads. While this configuration will certainly present itself in the form of moral and political crises for world leaders, in our own lives we too must make some wise decisions in a confusing and pressurized climate. In your case, this Grand Cross is most likely to reveal its potential through the giving and receiving of information: since Saturn is involved, there could be a legal or foreign flavour to the most important developments of early-to-mid-May, although the overriding significance of this configuration is in what lessons you take away with you from the events that happen. Also contained in this Grand Cross is a hint of karma being sown and reaped, whether you feel this relates to yourself, and actions you have taken or are about to take, or to others.
On the 21st the sun arrives in the fourth house of home and family, thus setting the stage for some memorable occasions to come in June. On the 26th and 27th May, the combination of a new moon and Uranus in this same area signals a new arrival, and a departure. A member of the family could be heading off to distant parts and news of a baby or marriage could inspire a gathering of the clans. But what would Uranus be without a mention of that word, liberation? Those early March birthdays are front of the queue when it comes to Uranus and his brand of the new, the different and the controversial, and whenever your birthday the end of the month and the start of the next is all about letting go and letting live.
I am sorry this forecast was delayed. The original sending was lost and both my webmaster and I have been in transit over the last 3 days. We have now added better facilities for updating forecasts.
1st June 2006 - 30th June 2006
Mercury and Pluto open the month so you can set aside any plans to hibernate and prepare instead to do battle with those things that and those people who have been simmering not-so-gently on the back burner. This is your month to put in place the foundation stones of new ventures, especially those of a family/property or career nature, and to take a proactive stance on matters that are central to your success and happiness.
For much of the month Uranus and Pluto will be centre stage, and since many countries have major events planned for June, these alignments underscore the importance and celebratory nature of national occasions, yet they will surely produce some shocks and tremors too. On the 3rd, Mars enters the regal sign of Leo for a six-week transit and on the 18th this assertive planet hooks up to heavy-metal, Saturn - and at the same time as the sun-Pluto opposition. Mid-month, therefore, will be a time to watch for international dramas and the push-comes-to-shove syndrome. This conjunction falls on President Bush's Mercury-Pluto-Ascendant combo, and Tony Blair's South Node, so neither of them is in great shape in June, and there could be some serious threats to their tenures as leaders (as if there haven't been enough already).
Not for the first time this year is there a powerful theme playing of the past coming back into the present - the seeds of karma once planted take root and blossom forth, and June appears to be either spring or harvest time in this regard. On a mundane level, planned domestic changes take place and you will have opportunities to replace household items that have run their course. Rather more importantly, you could be welcoming new people into the family and opening a fresh chapter for domestic life. How this all comes about, however, could be unexpected. Pluto and Uranus open your eyes to those things that have outlived their usefulness: washing machines aside this could mean you have run out of road with a job or some other long-standing aspect of your life. And while not every Piscean will be looking to fresh outlets for their talents, these alignments help you clearly see the trajectory you are on with the intention of enabling you to adjust that course if necessary.
On the 21st the sun heads into the pleasure zone of your solar chart lightening your load considerably and setting the stage for an extremely fertile few weeks. Of which more in July...
1st July 2006 - 31st July 2006 With the sun, Mercury and Venus transiting the pleasure-driven fifth house, it’s time to put thoughts of serving others to the back of your head and concentrate on yourself for a change. This will not be easy since a Piscean without someone to care for is like... well... a fish out of water. July is the perfect month for a holiday or at least to go along with the flow instead of fighting the current. You may also gain considerable pleasure from family events, and any efforts to beautify your home or to make it a more convivial place in which to live will prove more than worthwhile. Some Pisceans may even be welcoming a new member into the family fold or settling into new permanent surroundings.
After the planetary heat of June, July’s influences have much to recommend them. Even with Mercury in retrograde between the 4th and 29th, there are many benign alignments, and in tandem, national and international affairs may be more fruitful than fraught. However, the Grand Cross in fixed signs will be loosely in place, so it may seem as if more than one situation is refusing to budge, and there will be very little give when it comes to matters of law and enforcement. Many of the world’s leading figures, including Tony Blair, George Bush, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have relentless Saturn and nebulous Neptune on key planets and points in their natal charts, and it remains a mystery to me as to why the gathering gloom has not yet resulted in a truly serous crisis, although leaked information from the enquiry into the death of Princess Diana must be sending seismic waves through Britain's corridors of power. With this in mind, events on or near the Mars-Neptune opposition of the 5th and the full moon in Capricorn of the 11th could precipitate a minor tsunami...Pluto also puts in a double appearance on the 14th so the first half of July looks to be the most scandal ridden and generally explosive.
In keeping with the general trend, the first half of July looks to be the more complex for you. Venus will meet up with Uranus (6th) and Pluto (14th) forcing you to make changes and throwing your time-table into disarray. If a family or property matter is the focus for any sudden and unexpected developments, avoid panic moves and wait until the last week of July when you'll be able to see the wood for the trees, and there is a chance that a decision will be reversed. Although this is, as I said, a pleasure-oriented month, when Mars arrives in the area of relationships (22nd) riding roughshod over other people's needs and wants will not be the best policy. Mars will spice up a lacklustre sex-life but it also signals a period in which you will meet with strong opposition and you may discover that you have a serious competitor. And this trend is alive and well until early September.
With Jupiter turning direct in the zone of far horizons by the end of the month, the world should be opening up for you: you may re-kindle a desire for learning, set off on a trip to foreign parts or simply feel the need to spread your wings and take off in terms of your ambitions. You've heard of a flying fish, haven't you...?
1st August 2006 - 31st August 2006 Whatever you may have planned for August, the planets are focussing on health and life-style issues. In other words, it's time to put fitness levels under the microscope, to consider a more nutritious diet and to tackle any of those health worries that may have been building up during the year. Much as I hate to say it, the month ahead looks to be hard work, whether in the sense of many physical tasks to complete or because situations will take time and effort to deal with. The plus factor about putting your shoulder to the wheel, so to speak, is that you will prove a great deal to yourself and to others, and you will set the stage for a better future. As you may know, Pisceans are the helpers and healers of the zodiac - service comes naturally to you - but with the current alignments it seems that you are either devoting yourself to inappropriate causes or allowing yourself to be put upon by others, which in turn means you are not focussing on your needs and ambitions. Something lying at the root of many of August's issues, and something that should be addressed.
The whole zodiac will be suffering under August's aspects - and we're not talking weather here, although we could. A Fixed 'T'-cross will prevail throughout the entire month, and since Saturn and Neptune form the cross-bar, your mood may swing from optimistic to pessimistic day by day, in tandem with the way situations appear to be moving. Saturn and Neptune give conflicting messages: while Saturn provides reality and sets endeavours in cement, Neptune does his best to weave webs of fantasy and turn perfectly good plans into papermache. Thus, while one situation could be nicely settled another could be all over the place. Likewise, people may be easy to handle one day, and a nightmare the next.
I have written a separate piece on the Saturn-Neptune opposition, which becomes exact on the 31st of this month, so you'll have plenty of food for thought should you find yourself wondering why you're making little progress and running into troughs of low pressure at inappropriate intervals. August is always a strange (and often uneventful) month in politics, but given mid-July sparked another major conflict in the Middle East, under these relentless influences we can expect an intensifying of hostilities - not just in Lebanon - and very little progress on the diplomatic front. I'd like to believe that the Jupiter-Uranus trine, which is both ebullient and barrier-breaking, will provide a balance for this depressing opposition but we will have to wait until the very end of the month before we see what rabbits these two can pull out of the hat. The usual suspects - that's President Bush, and Prime Minister Blair - face a dark and difficult summer break, although with the world in such crisis, their individual careers and reputations pale into insignificance.
Two aspects loom out from August's murky astro-scape - the Mars-Uranus opposition of the 13th and the Mars-Pluto square of the 29th. Since Mars is situated in the area of relationships it is likely that other people will be the focus and/or cause of any emotional storms. A partner could be particularly sensitive and easy to anger, perhaps because he or she feels that you are changing, which is threatening to his/her position, but, as Uranus continues its path through your sign, change is inevitable - you are gradually awakening and finding your true self. And if you haven’t been spending every spare moment down at the gym, maybe you’ve been putting in extra hours at work and this too could feel threatening to your significant other. The new moon of the 23rd highlights your relationship zone, so some of you may actually begin a new love affair at this time. The most important relationship, however, for all Pisceans this month is the one you will have with yourself. And if you've already forgotten what this is all about, may I steer you back to the beginning of your forecast.
1st September 2006 - 30th September 2006 Half-way through your astrological year and it seems you have indeed reached a point of assessment. Events of some six months ago may figure in September's story, and you should certainly look back to March for clues as to why things are the way they are and why people take the actions they do. The personal planets are largely based in the zone of relationships, so other people are destined to play an important part in your life now.
September, like August, is a big month in astrological terms. The Saturn-Neptune opposition is still dominating the heavens (and, if you need to gen up on this transit, please go to the article dedicated to it on the website...CLICK HERE) so we are still trying to get to grips with reality and watching some very weird situations unfold out there on the world's stage. There are two eclipses to take into account - neither of them total eclipses but nonetheless they can still pack a powerful punch. The first - a lunar eclipse in Pisces - appears on the 7th, and harks back to March in terms of eclipses and events, and the second, on the 22nd, is a solar eclipse in Virgo. Eclipses set in motion events that shape the destiny of nations, and also our own lives, should they fall on key planets and points in our charts, so anything that emerges on or around the time of an eclipse must be taken seriously. The period of the 11th - 17th looks to be the most impressive: transformational Pluto is centre stage, so we can expect some dramatic entrances and exits on the political scene and a rattling of sabres from the usual suspects. The sun's entry into Libra on the 23rd, followed by Venus on the 30th, heralds the beginning of a calmer period, and certainly one in which dialogue and debate pave the way for peace and concord.
But back to relationships. These eclipses fall on the axis of partnership so, especially if you were born around 5th or 19th March, you have reached make or break point with one or more associations. The theme of liberation has been playing long and loud for these two birthday groups, and this is yet another period of the year in which relationships come into being suddenly and compellingly, and why others reach the end of the road, sometimes in strange and unexpected ways. And whenever your birthday, people who affect your life now, whether in welcome or unwelcome ways, are your Teachers, and what you learn from them will benefit you greatly in time to come.
While many of September's events offer you a chance to clean house and start over, there is no need to create vacuums where you don't need them. By which I mean, given that other people may not be at their best this month, showing tolerance, patience and flexibility at times of conflict and tension could make all the difference between a broken bond or a strengthened relationship. All the weekends in September sport powerful aspects, and at these times in particular being gracious in victory or defeat is paramount.
1st October 2006 - 31st October 2006 The sun and all the personal planets pass through the complex eighth house of your solar chart this month, so although life may well have its extremely enjoyable side, you'll also be digging deep to find answers. Sometimes this area of your chart is all about money and at other times it is all about intimacy, and occasionally you'll find yourself immersed in both. So, start as you mean to go on and acquire some truth serum!
With the challenges of August and September behind us we can all look forward to better times in October. Until the 23rd there are almost no hard angles to the senior planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) to hamper us, which means global hostilities should lessen and the climate will be suitable for discussion, debate, new peace agreements and generally more co-operation between nations and leaders. Of course, having put my pen where my astrological judgement is it wouldn't surprise me to find that a simmering hot spot boils over and that there are further terrorist outrages. However it is unlikely...by the 22nd this little patch of perfection will be over: the sun, Mars and Venus head into Scorpio, Mercury is squared by Saturn(23rd) and Mercury turns retrograde (28th), all of which is likely to create a more intense atmosphere, and we may see some reversals of decisions, and certainly far less progress made in war-torn areas.
Making good financial moves is certainly a theme for much of October. By working with monetary institutions and those who have a part to play in your finances you can reach better agreements and acquire the moneys you need to fund such things as property purchases or other kinds of investments. A few Pisceans may inherit money or do well from a settlement with an ex-partner or employer. The full moon of the 7th ends a year-long financial cycle, and by the new moon of the 22nd you should start to see signs of new monetary trends.
Relationships are either/or: they're either passionately wonderful or deeply uncomfortable. That truth serum in the form of the planetary angles will reveal secrets, whether you are ready to open up to a partner or because your significant other has something to disclose. These events will either put the relationship on a deeper and stronger footing, or you may start to lose trust; whatever the case, it might be prudent to wait until the latter part of the month before you reach any hard and fast decisions. This last week of October is comparatively tough, so don't expect other people to bend over backwards for you or for others to let you off the hook for a minor transgression. And with Mercury heading into retrograde motion, something looks set to go into a holding pattern.
1st November 2006 - 30th November 2006 The ninth house of your solar chart is the area of adventures, of those things that make your life bigger and better; in the ninth house you make plans and look at your life from a greater perspective. So, as you can see, with a cluster of planets in this zone over the next few weeks your time can usefully be spent exploring new territory, whether in terms of places, ideas or relationships. It's time to stop being a couch potato and go seek.
The big event this month is the entry of Jupiter into the sign it rules, Sagittarius. Clearly this is extremely good news for all Sagittarians, since the planet of increase will be transiting their sign until December 2007, but, hopefully, this planet's expansive nature will help us all take some impressive leaps of faith and encourage us to follow the spirit of religion as opposed to the dogma. Jupiter enters Sagittarius on the 24th, less than forty-eight hours after a sun-Jupiter conjunction in the final degree of Scorpio, and while this may prove to be a terrifically happy and successful period for those with birthdays on or near this date, new beginnings made at that time (whatever your sun sign) are auspicious indeed. We should look at global developments here too, whether we see magnanimous gestures on the part of leaders and governments or an aggressive show of power. Jupiter does not have the astrological stage to itself, however, and as if to remind us that the best things in life have to be earned and that all actions have consequences, Saturn makes regular appearances in November, and since Neptune is still in opposition to Saturn, especially around the 8th, 17th and 29th we will need to read between the lines when it comes to statements of national and international importance: the distance between reality and fabrication may never have been greater. While such influences would not be out of place with an announcement of a withdrawal of troops from Iraq, and a subsequent aura of failure and defeat hovering over the Bush administration - their chances of keeping the Senate Republican are slim - we may be looking also at a severe loss of face inspired by leaks and betrayal for Tony Blair upon whose Mid-heaven Neptune will be sitting.
Since you have the benefit of planets in your ninth house, even with the occasional pothole produced by Saturn and Neptune, you should be able to make use of the experience. If an already unsatisfactory situation at work reaches a head, you will have the courage to leave and look for more suitable outlets for your talents - and using different skills or with companies far from home. Likewise, if a relationship is causing unhappiness, confront the other person with your feelings and be brave enough to walk away if no progress is to be made. Until the 17th we have the added problem of a retrograde Mercury so you may be dealing with a lack of information, which will add to a sense of uncertainty and frustration, but the weekend of the 18th marks a big turn-around. A new moon conjunct Jupiter in the area of far horizons shows you have far to go and that you can succeed if you have the faith and determination to back your efforts. This latter part of the month may coincide with a journey, a meeting or a discussion, and any opportunity that springs up at this time, or any idea that comes to you, should be embraced.
1st December 2006 - 31st December 2006 Pisces rarely wears its ambition on its sleeve: you are a subtle sign and you see no advantage in advertizing your aims and desires. However, you may have no choice other than to reveal your flinty side this December. The bulk of the planets is to be found in the tenth house of career and life-direction which, on the one hand, should encourage you to set out your market stall as far as your talents are concerned and, on the other, people in positions of power and authority could be seeking you out. You need to keep your eye on the ball and to be ready to take charge throughout the month - a hang-over or love affair is no excuse for failing to grab a rich opportunity or being unable to prove someone wrong should you be unfairly accused or treated badly.
Each year at this time the sun squares Uranus and conjoins Pluto and often there are other alignments which add to this powerful mix, resulting in upheavals of a personal and global nature. Take the tsunami of 2004, for instance, which began as the moon clipped the degree of the sun-Pluto conjunction just prior to becoming full. Between the 1st and 22nd of December there will be no less than five planets in the sign of Sagittarius, so there is a concentration of 'energy' in one area of the cosmos: in a natal chart this often manifests as an individual who is a specialist, one who is very focused, and in terms of events there can be a last-straw effect to be observed. Put another way, people reach the end of their tethers and take extreme measures to prove their point. The period from the 15th to the 23rd is potentially the most explosive and we may see a lot of sabres being rattled by world leaders and another terror alert that interferes with our travel and our peace of mind. The year closes with war lord, Mars, and Master of Mystery, Neptune, in harmony, which is perfect for a champagne entry into 2007 but also a compassionate end to a year that has been full of strife and conflict.
Saturn turns retrograde on the 6th and while this may not be the big astro-event of the month, it is a signal to you to start preparing the ground for Saturn's transit of the relationship zone from next September. The 6th is your signal to go back over issues that were unresolved, especially those that involve partners or colleagues. The personal and professional connections you make during the next ten months are going to prove invaluable. For the moment, Saturn's change of direction could cause you to question the satisfaction you are getting from your job or there may be cutbacks or changes in the pipeline. Pay attention to these signals, because the sooner you put in place Plan B and C, the better. Health is another factor you may need to pay a little more heed to, and should you be jetting away to foreign parts, make sure you have all the requisite inoculations and go with any medication you might need.
Pluto and Uranus are particularly active for the 3rd and 18th March birthdays and you could find situations that have rumbled along for much of the year, perhaps having briefly reared their heads in March, June or September do so once again but this time there is a resolution, a defining event. Almost any point in the month, but especially on or near the 3rd, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 25th, could trigger events that lead, at the very least, to a change in thinking about what truly matters. Some Pisceans will face big job changes this month while others will find that certain people will no longer be such a central part of their lives. And whenever your birthday December's alignments will add depth and colour to life...
1st January 2007 - 31st January 2007 Compared to December January's stars are a dream. Venus spends most of the month in Aquarius generally sweetening life for members of this sign and helping those of the opposite sign (Leo) find and celebrate love. The full moon of the 3rd is in Cancer and, like all full moons helps us close a chapter and begin a new one - something we tend to do anyway at the start of a new year., although of course, for Cancerians, this process is profoundly more marked. The Mars - Pluto conjunction of the 13th is the last in a series of aspects between the personal planets and Pluto, so events mid-month may well have a connection between those of the 8th-25th December. (Here in Great Britain the enquiry into the death of Princess Diana confirmed that it was an accident - not a white-wash surely? And on the same day (14th December) Prime Minister Tony Blair was questioned by police in the cash for honours enquiry - not an attempt to bury bad news, surely? - and in keeping with Pluto's principles of dark deeds, a nationwide police hunt began for serial killer of five young prostitutes, which resulted in an arrest just before Christmas.) On January 16th Mars enters Capricorn for a six-week transit - OK Cappies, it's time to get moving and motoring! And on the 20th the sun arrives in Aquarius. These last ten days of January present a complex and certainly variety-packed picture. In a nutshell the theme is chickens coming home to roost (courtesy Saturn Lord of Karma) so if we've spent too much money over Christmas we'll be paying the price at this time, and, in general, both on the world's stage and in our own lives we'll be looking at the cost of actions taken some time ago.
With the stresses and strains of Christmas behind you, you are ready to have a little more fun in January: there is a group theme to your stars, whether this manifests as enjoyable times with friends and colleagues or a desire to pour your energies into altruistic ventures. The full and new moons (4th and 19th respectively) accentuate the axis of creativity, so a period of gestation will be coming to an end, whether this results as a baby, a full blown relationship or solid business project. January is an excellent time to display your wares in front of the buying public, should you sell an item on E-bay, produce a novel or make your pitch for a new job. The 5th and 19th March birthdays have a year of huge change ahead of them and, whenever your birthday, the events of January could send you in new directions. The week of the 22nd may bring major surprises and good fortune, so make sure you don't let the boat of opportunity sail out of port without you at the helm!
1st February 2007 - 28th February 2007 With a full moon opening to February the theme of endings and beginnings is clearly stamped on our astrology. The moon is in Leo so members of this sign and those of Aquarius are in the front row when it comes to bringing to a close anything that has outlived its usefulness. Relationships for these two signs in particular appear to be at a crossroads, and with Valentine's Day coming in between a sun-Saturn opposition (10th) and a Venus Pluto square (20th), the scent of final straws is in the air! This is far from a light and frothy month, primarily due to the applying Saturn-Neptune opposition. (And if you want to know more about this important transit, please click on the article relating to it on the home page.) This opposition is exact on the 28th, and from the middle of February onwards we can expect to see events out on the world's stage reflecting its theme of sacrifice and redemption on the one hand, and the erosion of established structures on the other. Among those for whom the Saturn-Neptune bell tolls are: Fidel Castro (sun: 20 Aquarius), Tony Blair (Pluto: 20 Leo), George W. (Venus: 21 Leo) and Queen Elizabeth (Mars: 20 Aquarius and Neptune: 22 Leo).
Since Neptune is your ruling planet, the Saturn-Neptune opposition has special significance for Pisces. You are likely to experience this opposition as a dilemma between duty in a very practical sense and being of service in a more spiritual way. The sun-Neptune conjunction of the 8th may find you longing to escape the boundaries and limitations of your daily life. You may simply be exhausted having given too much of yourself in your chosen career and a spell of rest at home may be called for. On the other hand, a disappointment could supply you with a sense of not being given a fair deal by the fates, so to speak. After the 19th you should feel more energised as the sun will be transiting your sign, although it may take till the end of the month before you can give some serious and objective thought to what you really need. Think carefully about the job you do and the relationships that are important to you. It may be that you ought to work in a less stressful environment where your efforts will be more appreciated, and perhaps you should claw back some of your power by not sacrificing your needs and desires for those of a partner or close associate. You are one of the most giving signs, but this month you need to examine the real reasons behind any rejections, disappointments or failures: you may find that a shift in your thinking is all that is needed to create a sea-change in various areas of your life.
1st March 2007 - 31st March 2007 What can you say about a month that has two eclipses in it, the first of which is not only a total lunar but conjunct/opposition lively Uranus, and the second, a partial solar, which squares Pluto? I'd say it's one of those periods in which matters that have been rumbling underground for some while erupt with the force of a minor volcano! March is a very cleansing month: think de-tox and de-clutter, whether in terms of our homes and our offices or in regard to our opinions and belief systems. The periods around the eclipses (3rd and 19th) are the most dynamic or disruptive, depending on your perspective, and the final ten days with its heavy concentration of Saturn are the most hard work. Could we have an announcement about a forthcoming wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton? Very possibly. And will events in the Middle East be the cause of even greater consternation? Almost certainly.
If you have been sitting on the fence of late, Pisces, unable to make up your mind over a certain matter, the combination of these eclipses in your sign plus their connection to Uranus and Pluto could the job for you. The astrology is the epitome of push coming to shove! Relationships are centre stage, especially for those of you with birthdays on or near the 3rd and 19th, whether you are ready to make the ties that bind or undo the bonds of many years. And this theme may not just apply to romance but to work and finance. Jupiter is well placed for you this year, helping you rise in your career and reach personal targets so all the powerful alignments of March could act as a springboard to success, and they certainly auger changes, either immediately or around the time of the next set of eclipses in late August and mid-September. Venus will be transiting the zone of self-worth until the 17th so throughout this period, and particularly 8th-17th , there could be some happy breakthroughs and positive developments.
While Uranus and the lunar eclipse of the 2nd/3rd are redolent with the theme of liberation, the solar eclipse of the 19th with its square aspect to Pluto is all about transformation. Even in the face of surprise developments, the changes they bring will be a response to your own evolutionary process - you are not the same person as you were some years ago and your life - at least some aspects of it - are no longer a good fit. And even if you go through March without a single significant event you can be sure that people in and around your life are dealing with huge issues and you as a witness to them gain in wisdom, understanding and compassion.
1st April 2007 - 30th April 2007 Before you read your forecast might I suggest your taking a look at my general outlook for April? If you're a faithful follower of my forecasts all you need to read is that Uranus is centre stage and you'll know to batten down the hatches! Well, maybe that's too strong a recommendation but if you happen to be one of those 7th - 11th birthdays there's an equal chance of this mischievous planet generating unanticipated joy as unexpected chaos. One thing to bear in mind with Uranus is that while it may seem as if circumstances beyond your control have brought about events, it is almost certain that they are a result of needs and feelings lying deep in your unconscious. There is a powerful aura of liberation at the beginning and end of the month, and if you are all too aware that you have talents that are unexpressed, needs unanswered and people to see and places to go, I fail to see how you can resist the lure of freedom-fighter, Uranus.
And now for something completely different...
You are probably the least materialistic sign of the zodiac, yet there are some very positive signs that your hard work has not gone unnoticed, and you are in an excellent position to ask for a salary increase or promotion. The new moon of the 17th indicates fresh starts financially so investments or new banking arrangements are also worth considering at this time. Once Saturn goes direct on the 19th, any frustrations or obstacles in the workplace which you been feeling over the past few months should gradually recede, providing you with a sense of achievement and pride in your work. Planning for the future also looks brighter as the sun, then Mercury make harmonious aspects to Saturn and Jupiter.
1st May 2007 - 31st May 2007 Can you hear that drum-beat far off in the distance? It almost certainly comes courtesy of Pluto, who is once again dominating life for the celestial Fish. The period between the 3rd and 14th puts this planet centre-stage and just in case you were in danger of forgetting his message he returns on the weekend of the 26th. (And what is that message? Well, there are several: first, that issues shoved under the carpet will eventually be exposed; second, that you cannot take on someone bigger and better than you without sustaining a bruise; and, third, that things cannot stay the same for ever, and, if you're not going to do anything about them, fate will have to take you by the hand!:)
As you may have read in my general forecast, the week of the 7th is a challenge for us all, so even if things for you fall nicely into place you could be living or working with people for whom life is very tough indeed, and you may become a suitable whipping boy. During this week Mars remains in your sign giving you courage but also making you less patient, so although you may have what it takes to succeed in the tasks you have set yourself there is a risk that if someone or something gets in your way you'll press the self-destruct button. The Jupiter-Uranus square of the 11th could produce an unexpected career opportunity or a blinding insight, but I would still urge against accepting or refusing an offer in the heat of the moment. Give everything time.
Communications and travel are also part of May's story - a holiday for some or many short journeys, possibly to help someone who is unwell or who requires your assistance, skills and advice. This is an excellent month to put your health and fitness under scrutiny and to start new regimes intended to add to your quality of life. As for romance, with Venus moving through the most creative and pleasure-driven area of your solar chart, do not underestimate your powers of attraction - make your move on the weekend of the 20th, and don't admit you turned to the stars for advice!:
1st June 2007 - 30th June 2007 The sun passes through your home zone placing the focus on family and those things that and those people whom you hold most dear. It may be that success in the workplace enables you to think in terms of making home improvements, possibly even moving to pastures new. Both the sun-Uranus square of the 9th and the new moon of the 15th signal fresh starts on the home front, whether this means organizing a massive clear-out or uprooting and breaking with the past.
The past has a big part to play in June's astrological story. If you are indeed clearing up or clearing out you may come across old treasures in the form of baby clothes, CD's, photographs and the like, all of which stir rich memories. However, there could be other reasons for revisiting history. Someone may come back into your life or you may return to a place that you have not seen for years. The sun-Pluto opposition of the 19th , like all major Pluto aspects, tends to bring that which has been concealed into the open. Sometimes this is an object or a secret but more usually it is an understanding. Many epiphanies will be experienced by many Pisceans this month.
1st July 2007 - 31st July 2007 You’ll be pleased to hear that life is about to become more fun. The sun and new moon put the spotlight on love, creativity and pleasure and for some of you this could mean a new romance. If you’re looking for love, try the 14th for a night on the town, as Venus slides into your partnership zone and the new moon assures you of an enjoyable time. For those of you already off the shelf, you may simply feel more loved and appreciated as people begin to tell you how much your efforts mean to them. You are known for your self-sacrificing attitude to life and you have certainly been working hard of late, but with Venus’s presence in the workplace you have also been enjoying what you do on a daily basis. If you are in a creative frame of mind there may be some surprises in store... pregnancies or births are a distinct possibility, as are unexpected gifts. For a pleasant change, Uranus, which often brings nasty shocks, is making harmonious aspects this month, which suggests that any surprises you receive will be welcomed.
The only potential blot on the horizon is that a friend, relative or someone in your neighbourhood may disappoint you. Mars squares your ruler, Neptune, on the 24th resulting in your feeling angry or let down. Perhaps someone is being dishonest with you, or has failed to offer you the support you need. You are probably the least likely of all the signs to stand up for yourself but you may just find it possible to express your disappointment this time, since Mars is giving you the impetus to assert yourself. Remember you have just as much right as anyone else to express your dissatisfaction. People may even develop more respect for you as the full moon of the 30th suggests you are no longer prepared to be a doormat.
1st August 2007 - 31st August 2007 With so many planets in the work zone of your solar chart do not expect to be lying prone on a beach somewhere clutching a pina-colada in one hand and a romance in the other! No, you're going to be working. Now, some of you may already know this because you have a schedule that would impress Richard Branson but others will be surprised by the way events draw on your physical, intellectual and emotional resources. And then there's that eclipse in Pisces, of which we will hear more later.
In many ways this is the perfect month to put your job situation under the microscope and to make decisions that will help you find greater fulfilment. On the other hand, you may find that job changes come out of the blue without your having to think about them at all! This year Jupiter has promised that you will make progress, even a serious name for yourself, but if you have seen no sign of this yet, this planet's return to direct motion on the 7th will kick-start the trend for success.
Also on the 7th Mars arrives in the zone of home and family urging you to get behind any flagging projects, whether these involve renovation and refurbishment or setting to rights some wrongs within the family. Mars is not known for bringing peace and tranquillity to life, so if war breaks out in the domestic circle, blame Mars and go find your diplomatic boots.
Health and fitness come under the microscope too. Perhaps you are due for your annual check-up or maybe you are going in for some elective surgery but if neither of these scenarios is appropriate for you this is nonetheless a period in which you can do much to improve the body beautiful and get to feel fitter, stronger and more energized. (Maybe that's where all the hard work comes in.)
And so to the lunar eclipse of the 28th. This eclipse bounces off on one earlier in the year in March, so you may well find that a situation that began in that month reaches fruition in the late August/early September period. On the other hand, and especially if you have a February birthday, an unexpected development could throw out your timetable and cause you to question where you go from here. Uranus and Mercury are in opposition on the same day so while you cannot prevent other people from making controversial moves you can be a little more cautious about what you say and do. Eclipses aren't bad - they're just unsettling, even for the nicest of reasons.
1st September 2007 - 30th September 2007 Pisces is, as you know, a very giving sign; you need to be needed and to this end you pour out love, sympathy, advice and money to those you care about, and sometimes to those who consistently use and abuse you. And if there is one theme emerging through September's stars it is knowing who is deserving of your devotion. Saturn enters the zone of relating on the 2nd and will transit this area over the next two years so you are at the beginning of a period in which great lessons can be learned through relationships. Maybe you believe you've learned all you ever needed to know but, believe me, Saturn has more to say on the topic. Of course, good relationships become stronger through Saturn: it's only the poor ones that collapse under this planet's steely gaze.
Even without Saturn, September's influences focus on romantic, working and family relationships, and if your birthday falls on or near 10th or 19th March you can expect some major developments linked to partnerships or in the life of someone to whom you are close. The solar eclipse of the 11th opposes unpredictable Uranus, so while some Pisceans will be swept off their feet by a brief encounter others will be surprised at the speed at which a relationship collapses. Given that weaknesses, betrayals and inconsistencies will be exposed under these stars, there will be opportunities to strengthen an otherwise worthy relationship but if you have been struggling to make someone love you or putting up with an intolerable situation, once again push has come to shove.
The Mars-Pluto opposition of the 21st cuts across the axis of life-direction so, on the plus side, the intervention of a third party could bring about a turn-around in a career or family/property matter but on the minus side, if you have a critic, even an enemy, you may find your position under threat. With this in mind, don't rattle your sabre around this time, unless you have a solid plan B to fall back on.
Once September is out, life settles down considerably, which suggests that for many Pisceans this month represents the final chapter in a long journey. And, as with all journeys, as soon as you've reached the end, the work of building anew begins.
1st October 2007 - 31st October 2007 This is a somewhat mysterious month. While the alignments themselves are largely harmonious, they are activating parts of your
chart that are complex. For a start, the sun is moving through the depth-charged eighth house - a place in which powerful
exchanges take place. For some Pisceans this theme may have everything to do with money - you could be striking up major
financial agreements which activate feelings of fear that you are getting in too deep - while others may be heading into deep
emotional waters and wondering whether their love will last or that it is even reciprocated. (I'll talk more about love in
a moment.) The new moon of the 11th encourages you to review your joint finances and update, upgrade or re-invest as
necessary. Around the 9th, an unexpected development in your career might provide a boost to your income, and this in turn could
spur you to re-think your finances and take appropriate action. Insurance, tax and inheritances also come under this umbrella
so, if you have been procrastinating in any of these areas, now is the time to grasp that nettle. The only fly in the ointment is
that Mercury goes retrograde on the 12th, so, if possible, delay any firm decisions or the signing of contracts till after
November 1st when direct motion is resumed.
Now for relationships. Saturn entered the seventh house of partnerships on 2 September so it is still early days in this
two-year cycle. Nonetheless, with Venus passing through the same territory during October some of Saturn's promise will be
revealed. Other people take on the role of teacher for you when Saturn is in this zone, so someone new could arrive in your life
who has much to offer in the way of wisdom and experience. The possibility of a karmic encounter cannot be ruled out and you may
sense that there is something much more profound about a casual relationship. The Venus-Saturn conjunction of the 14th comes
on the heels of a sun-Neptune trine, making this a superb weekend to marry or make a loving commitment to someone. However,
eleven days later Uranus angles Venus creating a volatile atmosphere - one in which passionate surges drive you in possibly
unwise directions... The Venus-Jupiter square of the 29th is abundance in a bottle so this would be an appropriate moment to
attempt to heal a rift and certainly make the most of an already wonderfully romantic relationship. Another point worth
considering, however, is that with Jupiter transiting the area of career and life goals this latter part of the month is excellent
for marketing your assets and for the emergence of unexpected opportunities to make a name for yourself.
1st November 2007 - 30th November 2007 This month marks the beginning of a period of learning for you. The sun is transiting your zone of distant horizons and in some way, your vistas will be broadened in the coming weeks. Some of you could be planning or taking trips to faraway places, but for others the journey you make will be more spiritual or intellectual. Pisceans, ruled by the planet Neptune, are naturally drawn towards mystical subjects, so you should feel very much at home exploring new belief systems or expanding your knowledge in a more practical way by enrolling in a course of study. The sun-Neptune square of the 12th accentuates your soulful nature and you might enjoy a glimpse of the divine around this time, or feel very connected to something or someone.
On the 22nd, the sun arrives at the zenith of your solar chart, thereby beginning a four-week period in which career and life-goals swing into prominence. And with a full moon on this axis on the 24th it may be that events around this time help you make up your mind about a job or some other situation that has seen you going this way and that. Indeed, the latter part of the month is the more dynamic half in terms of overnight decisions and unexpected developments. Another date to keep in mind is the 30th. On this day the sun makes its first hard angle to Saturn since this planet arrived in the relationship zone (2nd September). A relationship may be tested or someone may make a heavy demand on your time, energy and emotions. Certainly, the week of the 26th is all about responsibilities and realities – a time both to make the ties that bind and to undo them.
1st December 2007 - 31st December 2007 When we reach the end of a year we naturally tend to look back on events and make some kind of rationalization about what happened - the good and the bad - but don't have that post-mortem too soon because December contains some of the most powerful alignments of 2007. The main planetary focus is on ambitions and life goals, so while not every Piscean will be celebrating a fantastic new job or the realization of a dream, you should be looking to the future and recognizing where there is room for growth and change. Other people have played a key role in your affairs this past year, especially if you have had a 24 February, 11 or 19 March birthday, and December is another of those months when you get to see who loves you and who cannot be trusted and leaned upon.
Take the 11th as a centre-point for December's main events. Jupiter and Pluto will be in conjunction and Uranus and Mercury will be in aspect, all of which adds up to a surprise and a 180Ń” turn-around. There have been other occasions this past year when you may have sought to rid yourself of a heavy burden and there have been other times when you have made an almighty effort to achieve a goal, but you have the equivalent of a huge tail-wind at this time. Whether you are successful and happy with the results rather depends but of one thing you can be sure, without putting yourself on the line, without investing your heart in an endeavour, you'll never hit the big time. Certainly, December is not a month for weakness and blandness - everything is black and white.
On the 18th Jupiter heads into the area of friendship and collaboration so the successful trend for next year will be working as a team and extending yourself to worthy causes (then again, aren't you a worthy cause?). Even as soon as the latter part of December a colleague or friend could be the source of some very good news and if an idea is mooted at this time, whether for business or pleasure, you should take it very seriously and begin to build on the blue print.
Mars and Pluto bring in the New Year, which may translate as a passionate exchange as mid-night strikes; on the other hand, if you've been suppressing anything from an opinion to a deep hurt, out it will come!
1st January 2008 - 31st January 2008 What a way to begin a new year - with a Mars-Pluto opposition. There is no more fitting aspect upon which to kick out the old and bring in the new. If you$re ready to bin the past and say hello! to the future, you have the cosmos well and truly behind you. Nonetheless, the first week is not what you could describe as a sweet and easy entry into 2008. (I mean, who invited Pluto and Saturn to the New Year$s bash with their respective properties of awakenings and rationalizations!) This would be a fitting time to make a relationship legal and to reach decisions that will have to stand the test of time, however, with an astro-scape like this you cannot entirely rule out the possibility that events beyond your control will change the map, and in the process cause a fair amount of upheaval.
Until the 20th, the sun will be highlighting the zone of friendship and collaboration. This is therefore a brilliant period for starting new endeavours that call for team work. You may find also that a friend requires help and nurture or a work project takes up far more time than you had expected. It is possible too that you will hear of the breakdown of a relationship which will create a conflict since you have a friendship with both people. Indeed, January may have more than its share of revelations.
Do your best to get ahead with your plans and those things that demand energy and focus before the 20th because from that point the sun will be transiting the sensitive and reclusive twelfth house. This is the beginning of a period in which health zooms to the top of the agenda, whether you suddenly get the bit between your teeth where diet and exercise are concerned or because you feel more like tucking yourself away from the hurly burly of life, even dealing with a health matter that has been bothering you for some time. To add to the sense of withdrawal, Mercury heads into retrograde motion on the 28th, forcing you to put an endeavour on the back burner and causing the familiar delays and detours with communication and travel.
1st February 2008 - 29th February 2008 Don't be surprised if you feel anything but the life and soul of the party and somewhat hermit-like, even a tad pessimistic:
until the 19th the sun will be in its most obscure position and in an ideal world you'd be taking yourself off to some remote place in
order to commune with your inner-guru. And even though it may prove impossible to get some time off from the rat race, you can
endeavour to acquire more rest and pay greater attention to your dreams and intuitions. You may find also that a lot of good work can be
done behind the scenes and that good things are taking place without your knowledge. Indeed, a germ of an idea may come to you on or near
the 7th and, if so, consider it to be a prompt by the universe to have faith in your dreams. While the signs are for a rather quiet
Valentine's Day, the total lunar eclipse of the 21st falls on the relationship axis so something is going on with your love life this
month, even if the 14th does not figure prominently. This eclipse is linked to that of 24 August 2007, so this latter period of February
and March may represent the culmination of months of preparation or a situation that began six months ago will have reached a crossroads.
Eclipses are synonymous with fateful events so whatever happens in this early part of the year will alter the shape and texture of some
aspect of your life.
1st March 2008 - 31st March 2008 This is quite some month. On the 21st February a total lunar eclipse set in motion a series of
developments which may take six months to fully unfold; March's events may also have their
genesis in late August and September of 2007. Whatever the case, the next few weeks are going to change
a long-established pattern. In many ways, the ball is in your court - the sun is in your sign,
giving you energy and focus - however, Saturn's position in the area of relationships and
Uranus's unpredictable influence in your own sign mean that you are to a certain extent vulnerable
to other people's actions, desires and interests. So, in a way, we are looking at a scenario where
you may not have much control over events themselves although you do have a choice as to what you do as
a result of them - something to think about especially on or near the weekends of the 8th, 15th ,
22nd and 29th. Thanks to Venus's arrival in your sign (12th March) you have the ability to
charm the birds off the trees and you will be at your most attractive to others; indeed, weddings
and engagements could be on the agenda for a few celestial Fish, and, if you've been wondering quite
what to do about a relationship in difficulty, you may have the answer by the 15th.
1st April 2008 - 30th April 2008 Compared to March, April is a dream. Aside from the first eight days, which find Pluto continuing his good works, rooting out the good, the bad and the completely unacceptable and giving you the space to begin anew, the alignments are sweetness and light. Much of the activity is to be found in the money zone of your horoscope, so if you're not making it, spending it or investing in the future with it, it is time to have a grand clear-up of your finances. This is a premium time for property matters so if you've been considering a sale or purchase of a property, take advantage of the planetary set-up, and go for it, and any kind of borrowing/lending should also be explored. One way or another, your self-worth looks set to rise in April: in some cases this is because a new romance is giving you a glow and in others because you will be receiving positive feed- back regarding work. New salary structures can be put in place and whenever you are dealing in the future you must be sure that you set your price high. From the 20th, the zone of travel and communication opens up - the signal for a journey for some, the start of a period of study and dialogue for others, and, in general, late April and much of May give you opportunities to broaden your outlook in every sense of the phrase.
1st May 2008 - 31st May 2008 Isn't it time you got out of a rut? Whether you have been stuck in a groove because of the weather, your job, your duties or your mind-set, May's stars offer you an opportunity to breathe some fresh air. Travel could be on the menu and, if you're not taking the boat, train or plane to different places, information reaching you could throw a whole new light on one or more situations. The first quarter of 2008 was undeniably tough but since mid-April you should have experienced a lightening of the load. May continues this trend so although you may want other people to come to you with offers and opportunities you should not hesitate to get out there and strut your stuff. Sometimes you have to make your own luck and, at this point in time, this means giving voice to your ideas and making use of the various networks available to you. On or near the 3rd, 21st and 26th , Saturn looms into view so a relationship will play a key part in events. It may be that after a few months in the wilderness, so to speak, you start to see some evidence of life! On the other hand, if a relationship has been up in the air for a while, events around these dates will either ground it or bury it!
1st June 2008 - 30th June 2008 When the sun passes through the base of your chart, which it does during June, you are beginning a whole new cycle related to the roots of life and the foundations of your future. And with a series of dynamic angles to Uranus and Pluto (9th - 20th) it seems there is a lot of change and growth in the making. All right, this may be the month you pack up and move home, change your job - or some aspect of working life - or it could be a time when one or more issues come to a head encouraging you to re-think your priorities and where you're headed. Certainly, that mid-month period is far from restful and you may find that plans set in motion in December or March hit a rut in the road. The past has much to do with June's events so if you find yourself revisiting a place you once knew, running into an old friend or have that disturbing experience of dejĂ -vue you'll know why. Once Mercury is back on track (19th) many mysteries will begin to clear up and you'll have a better sense of where you are headed; also, a refusal or set-back that occurred in late May or early June may be reversed. Make a point of looking at events on the 27th - Uranus in your sign turns retrograde then so small changes could be indicative of much greater ones in the future.
1st July 2008 - 31st July 2008 Make the most of this pleasure-oriented month because August looks to be hard work! Many of your best moments will be spent in the company of great people or bringing new projects into being, whether of the business or personal/romantic kind. Babies and children could become another source of happiness. There could be offers on the table and you should not hesitate to make a few proposals of your own. The only potential blot on the landscape comes in the form of Mars, which will begin a six-week transit of the area of relationships on the 1st. While this planet can get your love life back in action it can also generate conflict, and although I don't want to raise your paranoia levels, if someone starts to rattle a sabre, assume he or she intends to use it: you find out who are your friends and who your enemies when Mars is in the seventh house. Be particularly careful not to take on anyone bigger and better than you around the 10th when Saturn's influence will be strong – a problem can be worked through but you will need to be practical and firm. Nonetheless, July is a largely easy-going month and the more joy you can express the happier life will become.
1st August 2008 - 31st August 2008 August will turn out very differently from expectations and the less fixed you are with your plans the better – allow the cosmos to surprise you. This is the big holiday month for many people so it could be that the theme of the unexpected and the unusual relates to what you encounter on vacation. On the other hand, you may have been waiting all year for a situation to break and suddenly it does. Certainly, these dynamic aspects are enough to shift a mountain of troubles or at least, a hard-set opinion. Since the eclipses of the 1st and 16th are highlighting the work zone, the biggest developments of August could be linked to your job – rumours turning into reality and sudden arrivals and departures in the work place. And, if you've had any health concerns this is the time to sort them. The area of relationships is also in the frame making this yet another month of reckonings and revelations. These aspects will bring issues to a head, so for some Pisceans it is time to end speculation and be with the person you love and for others hostilities which may have rumbled on for months, if not years, erupt and force the relationship onto a precipice. Alarming as this might sound, there is nothing you cannot successfully deal with in August; it is more a case of the universe prompting you to do something – anything – about an aspect of your life that is doing you no good whatsoever.
1st September 2008 - 30th September 2008 This could be a crucial month for the future of a relationship. Other people are playing a big part in your life and although there will be times when you can assert your authority and make demands on others, this is probably not one of them. It's your turn to listen and learn and wait to see what partners and people who are important to you do. The first week is an ideal time to talk through problems and set a relationship on a firmer course; it is a perfect moment to commit yourself to another person or an organization. Not quite the same can be said for the period of the 12th – 17th. While you could be swept off your feet by a new attraction, the chances are the relationship will be short-lived, although full of wonderful things. On the other hand, relationships already in a fragile state could be in pieces... keep a check on your emotions and remember that phrase: listen and learn. The weekend of the 20th and the days around that weekend are another period when simmering issues reach boiling point and demand to be sorted, although if you're ready to make a passionate statement and turn a friendship into a full-blown love-affair, this is the moment to do so. Money matters are also a big feature of your September stars: you could be on the receiving end of a windfall or financial institutions/ex partners could be pressing you for answers; either way, by the end of next month you will be in a better financial position than you were at the beginning of September.
1st October 2008 - 31st October 2008 With so many of the planets in the Western hemisphere of your solar
chart you are far more dependent on other people's actions and
intentions than usual. And in many areas of life you are having to play
a watch-and-wait game. A retrograde Mercury is interfering with
good communications - at least until the 15th - although you
must continue to maintain a debate with certain people and
organizations. The old ways are not the best ways so be open to
alternatives, even if initially it seems you will be taking a loss .
Fortunately, even though there is a go-slow on the communication
front the alignments are pretty harmonious so it is still possible for
contracts to be signed, happy events to take place and for you to feel
as though you are making progress. The week of the 6th could produce a
welcome surprise and if you can get-away with a loved one, even for
an overnight stay, you might be amazed at the benefits. Likewise, if
you're playing the dating game, sparks could be flying during that
same week. The last few days of October have a similarly exciting and
unusual quality to them - perfect for unexpected announcements and
making impulse moves.
1st November 2008 - 30th November 2008 If we ran our lives according to the astrological calendar this would be your time to get away from it all, to head off to distant parts and immerse yourself in different cultures. Maybe you have a trip in your diary or perhaps you have meetings with people from the far corners of the globe but if not, you can always plan for such things a little further down the line. Indeed, creating blue-prints for the future is another big part of the astrological story and what happens during the course of November could inspire you to develop new strategies and explore different avenues for your talents and needs. Since Uranus is in your sign and Saturn in the zone of relationships the exact opposition between these two planets on the 4th could have a major impact on your love life. If you have recently formed a new romantic relationship or do so in the near future this person may well be a karmic link and, as the relationship develops, you will sense there is far more to being with each other than meets the eye. On the other hand, if you have someone in your life who cannot commit or who is leading you a merry dance, you have caught the Uranian end of this opposition, and instead of trying to rein in the person you should allow him or her the freedom required... give someone enough rope and you know what happens. The Venus-Pluto conjunction of the 12th is another of the month's power points and a potential turning point for a love affair or a situation close to your heart. There is an element of fate to this aspect too, whether you feel you have won the jackpot, so to speak, or lost your investment. The Jupiter-Saturn trine of the 21st promotes stability and progress, especially where finance and business are concerned, so put your most important meetings on or around this date, and you won't be disappointed.
1st December 2008 - 31st December 2008 While the rest of the zodiac may have nothing more on their minds than what's happening for Christmas, you should be preoccupied with long- term goals and setting your material world to rights. This is the month for talking to people in positions of power and for marketing your assets. It is also the month for grasping a financial nettle by the throat and cutting your ties with people who and organizations that have no part in your long- term future. To this end, there could be some unexpected ruptures in relationships and a major departure from an old way of life. The periods around the 5th and 12th of the month are particularly relevant here, and even a minor change for the better or a distress signal should be seen as a sign of things to come. Pluto is chief guest at the Christmas and New Year festivities so don't assume that the family skeleton will stay in the cupboard or that a difficult individual will somehow be charming and accommodating - simmering issues will easily reach boiling point on or near the 22nd and 27th. There is also a theme of the past coming into the present, whether old friends return to the fold or you sense the process of karma at work in certain situations. Wherever you are for the 31st, allow the spirit and hope of the Mercury- Jupiter conjunction to infuse your evening... nothing in life can be achieved without faith and hope - your mantra for 2009.
1st January 2009 - 31st January 2009 On paper the start to the year looks very good for you, however, with the economy in crisis and the usual raft of January reality-checks, your beautiful stars could be doing their best work helping you over a stumbling block or two. However, let's talk beauty and Venus... This planet will be transiting your sign from the 3rd onwards, so you are in a phase when you can attract good people and good things towards you. So, if you are currently job-hunting or trying to get a project off the ground, you should steam into action straight away in the full knowledge that you have your lucky star with you. Love and romance are also at a premium, making this one of 2009's best phases to partner up with someone new or put a love affair onto a permanent footing. However, the last ten days of January bring Venus in contact with Uranus and Saturn, which could destabilize a long-term relationship, perhaps because of disclosures made or secrets uncovered. By contrast, this same period could spark an exciting but rather short-lived relationship. What we cannot forget is that Mercury will be retrograding from the 11th January - 1st February, so there will be log-jams on the communication highway and trips down memory lane. You may find also that an old flame can be rekindled...
1st March 2009 - 31st March 2009 If you look back on each March for the last five years, you may realize that this month has often turned out to be one of surprises and changes. The reason is the transit of Uranus through your sign, which forges new paths just when you were getting used to the old ones, and rudely awakens you to realities of which you were completely unaware. And if you look back, you will probably realize that a lot of good came out of these events. Armed with this insight March 2009 will be a positive breeze. Well, we've all heard of March winds and they are certainly blowing now. You can expect anything from a surprise party to an unexpected announcement, new state of the art technology to the breakdown of old appliances, and maybe old alliances too. The periods around the 11th, 15th and 21st are the ones most likely to take you into untrammelled territory but the potential for exciting developments is just as great as it is for those events that temporarily knock the wind out of your sails. From the 20th money matters spring into prominence, and a large investment could be made in the last ten days; on the other hand, this same period will expose weaknesses in your financial strategies... Venus will be retrograding from the 6th so try not to fret if a love affair seems to have lost it pizazz – funnel your passions into other things.
1st April 2009 - 30th April 2009 If you've been feeling on edge and liable to erupt at the slightest provocation, blame Mars. And if your sex-life is singing (can a sex life sing, I wonder...) and you're feeling full of vim and vigour, thank Mars. This planet has been transiting your sign since 14th March and will continue to do so until 22nd April, and although it will give you courage and drive, a fair amount of flak may come your way in the process. The 5th and 15th April are the dates to watch for peak Mars action, whether you discover you have gone as far as you can with something or you finally get the breakthrough you have been waiting for and working towards. You are in an intensely physical phase of your life, and sport and exercise are ideal outlets for this Mars energy. Finances are in the frame for much of April: you will be ending a financial cycle on the 9th which may be marked by the ending of a monetary agreement or the realization that things cannot continue in the same old way – some new strategies are required. Venus pops back into Pisces on the 11th replenishing that loving feeling and helping you mend a broken fence – choose the 17th to make an apology or an approach. The month ends as it began, on a Pluto square, so expect an epiphany of sorts.
1st February 2009 - 28th February 2009 This is not the most plain-sailing of months, and you'll need your compass – your intuition and trust - to guide you through each and every complexity. To begin with, the sun and a cluster of other planetary influences are closeted in the twelfth house so you are more sensitive and less physically and emotionally resilient. Ideally, you should have some early nights and attend to any minor health problems before they become major! Likewise, if you sense a situation is not as healthy as it might be, deal with it before it has a chance to morph into something less containable. Nonetheless, there are good things developing behind the scenes and you just need to be a little more patient with certain people and situations. The first half of February sees the most challenging of the alignments: Saturn and Uranus reach opposition again on the 5th (the last time this occurred was in early November) so you face something of a personal test here. Try to lose your attachment to specific outcomes because you are changing, the times are changing and new routes need to emerge when old ones can no longer take you where you need to go. From the 14th life becomes less fuzzy round the edges and you may be able to resolve a problem that arose towards the end of January or earlier in the month. Indeed, once the sun enters your own sign (18th) your spirits should begin to be restored and thanks to the new moon of the 25th a fresh window of opportunity will open up in the very near future.
1st May 2009 - 31st May 2009 The curse of the modern age is that we have too much to do, not enough time to do it in, and we end up missing out on the simple pleasures. And this is why we need retrograde Mercury. Annoying as it may be to have your plans tipped into the shredder, when this planet heads backwards, life slows down. So, once the Venus-Pluto square has done its best and worst during the first week – and by this I mean push coming to shove and simmering emotions bubbling over – trim your schedule and slot in some alone time. Fortunately, you are a highly intuitive sign so you have a tool with which to deal with all the confusion and general craziness stirred up by Neptune and retrograde Mercury: if you are phased by someone's actions or something you believed was set in stone crumbles before your very eyes, take a step back and wait until the dust has settled. You may find that the reality is somewhat different. The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction of the 27th is one of the year's most important astrological landmarks – it encourages big dreams but also reveals the folly of unfounded hopes...
1st June 2009 - 30th June 2009 The sun transits the base of your chart thus beginning a six-month cycle: those things set in motion now will reach fruition in December. June is a time of assessment: you get to see what is working and what is not – events of the 5th and 17th could be pivotal here – and new beginnings can be made. June is also a month of travel and dialogue. You may find yourself permanently on the run or taking off to distant places; on the other hand, your cell phone could be as hot as hades and there could be important meetings that define the next stage of your life journey. Love affairs gather momentum and the internet could play Cupid bringing you together with your perfect match. The full moon of the 7th brings a simmering domestic or career issue to boiling point and in some cases it may be appropriate to end a long-standing situation – as you know that theme of liberation and deliverance has been playing long and loud in your chart for some time. You will have to wait and see what Pluto has up his sleeve towards the end of the month – wonderful things can come into being at this time but so too can difficulties escalate.
1st July 2009 - 31st July 2009 You can bring great things into being in July, so don't hide your creative genius under a mask of self-deprecation! Give vent to your ideas and don't be afraid to show you have feelings – passions even – and are prepared to do everything it takes to fulfil them. Children and fun projects could also top your list and with eclipses on the creative axis of your solar chart, there could be news of a birth or important developments regarding a young person. There's also much to be said for allowing your sunny self to be in charge, since other people – and that includes prospective partners and employers – are always drawn a happy individual. So, that's the good news... The eclipses of the 7th and 22nd may coincide with an extremely positive development in your life but, as you know if you're a follower of my columns, eclipses invariably demand much of us in the way of adapting to unexpected change. So, should a plan have to be shelved or a friendship go up the spout, consider the stars have done you an enormous favour. Thanks to ruler, Neptune, and its conjunction to Jupiter (exact on the 10th) there are hidden aspects to situations that will be to your advantage: it may take until next year when Jupiter transits your sign to discover what those benefits are but if a promising situation dissolves into the mist now, it may well reappear in 2010.
1st August 2009 - 31st August 2009 The typical Piscean lives in the moment and goes where the current takes him or her but this may not be the case in August. Planets in the work zone of your solar chart highlight responsibilities and your sense of service so, one way or another, you have work to do. You may also find yourself nursing someone close to you or visiting the MD yourself, albeit for reassurance. September brings the Saturn-Uranus opposition back to life and there are little appetizers for your delectation in August – most notably on or near the 11th, 17th, 19th and 21st. With this in mind you'll need to nip a problem in the bud and take seriously other people's statements of intent, whether they are promising to love and sustain you or withdraw their support. There could be considerable activity on the home and family front too, perhaps because everyone is under the same roof or you're undergoing many domestic changes. It is a good time to throw out objects that have done their time and to acquire up-to-date gadgets and the like. Uranus is at his unpredictable best in the second half of the month so while you could experience a breakthrough or two, don't be surprised if an appliance suddenly breaks down! On the 22nd the sun enters the relationship zone and immediately forges a divine link to Pluto – perfect for a celebratory weekend or reaching an important life landmark.
1st September 2009 - 30th September 2009 September marks the beginning of an important six-to-eight-week period for you. Other people play a huge part in your story, whether they become the catalysts for personal or professional change or because you make or break those ties that bind. Mercury will be retrograde so the past also has a part to play in events – a reconnection with an old flame for a few Pisceans, a secret coming to light for others, and for all a realization that you do not exist in isolation... The Saturn-Uranus opposition of the 15th gives you yet another lesson in karma and acceptance, which does not imply you face a difficulty – you could be reaping a joyous harvest, although it will certainly have involved pain and hard work along the way. By the way, although the 15th marks the exactitude of this powerful opposition its effects will be noticeable from the 7th – 24th. Saturn will move out of the relationship zone next month so it is almost as though a final processing is taking place. Don't be surprised if you run into a similar experience that caused you aggravation, even heartache, once before, only this time you get to deal with it in a positive way; then again, someone could come back with a view to completing with you. This is not the easiest month of the year but with Venus in the area of relationships from the 20th you'll discover you have real and loving friends, if not a few other things besides.
1st October 2009 - 31st October 2009 You may already feel the pressures lifting. Not only are your October stars a lot lighter and brighter but on the 29th Saturn will leave the relationship zone where he has been nothing short of a lump of lead for the past couple of years! Of course, you have learned many valuable lessons and discovered who are the real people in your life but let's face it, you haven't had many free lunches. The one serious plus about Saturn in the seventh house is that you can settle down with someone – marry or become live-in partners – or join hands in a business sense, and with Venus in the same area hooking up to Saturn on the 13th, October could be the time to say: I do – and forever. On the other hand, with Uranus on the opposite side of the fence, so to speak, those relationship goal posts could be moving all over the place. You should be getting to the core of issues in October: aside from having heart-to-hearts with people to whom you are close, you could be resolving financial glitches and getting your material world in better shape. The full moon of the 4th could be the marker on the completion of a property transaction or signatures on documents for some other matter with financial overtones. Then again, full moons on this axis can coincide with cash-flow crises. If this is the case, don't be afraid to drop a commitment or to take a hard line: Saturn's position over the next couple of years will prove that less is more.
