The Following Week Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
27th January 2003 - 2nd February 2003 Aries is not a natural when it comes to balancing acts, you have an all or nothing, do or die temperament. Sometimes your kind of commitment and drive moves mountains but often you create more difficulties for yourself and more enemies than you truly deserve. With this in mind, avoid rushing your fences this week and under no circumstances rely on second-hand information. In many ways it seems as though you could be on the verge of success and you should have every reason to look forward to the future but with Saturn in the picture it is always wise to lower your expectations, look at the small print and cover your bases.
3rd February 2003 - 9th February 2003 Aries is renowned for its caveman-like approach to life - subtlety is not your strongest suit - and while your steely determination and brute force invariably get you places you do not always gain friends and supporters in the process. Thus, as Venus enters the zone of ambitions and life-direction (4th) you might like to change your tactics. This planet can help you make a stunning success of your endeavours and she can also bring you to the attention of people of power and influence. And she can do all this without your having to hustle and hassle. Much of what happens to you between now and late February is the result of years and certainly weeks of sustained effort.
20th January 2003 - 26th January 2003 At last situations begin to make sense and you can see where you're headed. However, there is still a need for caution. Aries has a habit of acting first and thinking later - something you cannot afford to do with a Venus-Pluto conjunction in operation. Especially where an overseas matter is concerned or your long-term future the information must be thoroughly digested before you make a finite decision. On balance it seems that you will benefit greatly from current developments - there could even be some news to celebrate - but just in case you're in danger of shooting yourself in the foot remain as cool as a cucumber.
13th January 2003 - 19th January 2003 In keeping with your status as the first sign of the zodiac you are at your best when beginning fresh enterprises and remaining a front runner. However, when obstacles arise and progress is not rewarded your enthusiasm dims. Only two weeks have passed since the beginning of 2003 so you may still have the bit between your teeth but in the event of the 18th's full moon putting a spanner in the works, do not down tools but persist patiently and joyfully. At the same time ruler, Mars enters the area of far horizons activating your highest hopes and urging you to look farther afield for your professional and personal fulfilment. This maybe a cliché but it's nonetheless true - as one door shuts another opens!
10th February 2003 - 16th February 2003 Your stars present a completely contrasting picture: on one side of your chart Jupiter and Neptune are fanning your hopes and pointing to a romantic or pleasure-driven high-spot while elsewhere Mars and Pluto are upping aggravation levels and spoiling for a fight. My advice is to act in moderation whenever and wherever possible and avoid taking risks - financial, emotional or otherwise. Travel and overseas matters look to be the most sensitive areas so especially on the 11th and 12th and over the weekend keep your focus, watch your step and don’t go waving any red rags in front of any raging bulls!
17th February 2003 - 23rd February 2003 Mars’ transit of your fellow fire sign, Sagittarius, should be a thoroughly gratifying experience - and certainly a mind-expanding one - but with Uranus and Saturn now in the way you could be approaching one of those ruts in the road. Indeed with the added effect of the sun’s entry into the obscure twelfth house (19th) you could be at the year’s first make or break point. Aries becomes easily discouraged and in the event of a criticism or a disappointing result you tend to cut your losses and move on but this is not the best approach at this time. Do your research, take your time and negotiate with the opposition. Whether for love, money or a much-desired objective, persistence, patience and strategy win the day.
24th February 2003 - 2nd March 2003 Aries are the Speedy Gonzaleses of the zodiac - you can’t abide long, protracted debates or being held back from pursuing your objectives, however, sometimes taking a while to reach a decision or discuss a situation proves highly advantageous. As is the case this week. Communication chief, Mercury, hooks up favourably to Pluto and Saturn urging you to go slowly and look at the practical and long-term effects of your current actions and future plans. An older person - or someone in a position of authority - could play a very helpful role in your life now so for once, don’t try to tell your proverbial grandmother to suck eggs! Take a tip from those in the know.
3rd March 2003 - 9th March 2003 A whole sea-change is taking effect, the chief architect of which is Mars who arrives on the mid-heaven of your horoscope on the 4th. Whatever ambitions and far-flung ideas you may have been nurturing since the year began it is time to see whether they are capable of manifestation and whether you have the necessary mettle with which to fulfil them. This process will take some weeks to work through but the period between the 4th and 7th is most crucial. Not helping matters is the sun’s passage through the secluded twelfth house, which is making you more hesitant and clouding your judgement. Rest as much as possible and make no move unless you have all the facts and absolute conviction.
10th March 2003 - 16th March 2003 Experience should have taught you that it is no good going in with all guns blazing if you have no idea what lies in front of you. A softly, softly approach is mandatory now. It may be that your version of events is completely at odds with their reality so until you have established the truth you should appear accommodating and friendly. Actions taken under Pluto have far reaching consequences; likewise any opposition is likely to prove formidable. Until the sun arrives in your sign (21st) you should endeavour to establish the facts and to confront any skeletons in your cupboard. And if situations beyond your control now change your long-term horizons, remain upbeat and philosophical.
5th May 2003 - 11th May 2003 An ebullient Mars-Jupiter link makes up for any recent dip in your optimism levels; it should also set your creative juices flowing. And, if your social life has been on the slow side recently a fun event could be on the horizon. So far so good. The problem lies in the approach of a total lunar eclipse (16th), which flanks the financial axis of your solar chart. Thus, while I do not want to dim your enthusiasm it would be wise to go carefully with your spending and to maintain a close check on all your financial commitments and negotiations. It may also be prudent to keep any good news or big plans to yourself for the time being - you don’t want to give anyone the chance to steel your thunder.
17th March 2003 - 23rd March 2003 The sun enters your sign on the 21st followed by Mercury therefore your extended stay in the land of mystery and confusion is all but over! As you head into April you’ll find your confidence and optimism returning and what may currently seem like a bad dream and certainly a long day’s journey into night will look a lot more positive. Nevertheless, until you reach the 21st you must continue to tread carefully and to question people and situations far more penetratingly than before. You must also be a lot more vigilant about your health and avoid cramming too many commitments into too small a time frame. You want to enjoy your April stars not use them up in a recovery operation!
24th March 2003 - 30th March 2003 The sun is not only in your sign but thanks to Jupiter it is shining with a brilliance not seen for some time. You are normally one of the most optimistic and courageous signs of the zodiac yet since the year began there has been little to show for your efforts and few occasions for you to enjoy life but under these stars opportunity knocks. At the very least this is a week when you can get off the treadmill and find some badly needed fun but at best you could see an astonishing success. You appear to be in demand, whether for your charms or your talents, and what you bring into being and the events that happen could considerably add to your reputation.
31st March 2003 - 6th April 2003 A new month, a new moon and a new start. You’ve probably done a lot of thinking in March and reached some honest if painful conclusions and now you are in the right psychological space to get behind those realizations. The time for action has come. This week, like almost all of April, is tailor-made to speed the Aries progress - indeed, this could turn out to be the most successful and certainly enjoyable period for some months. In some cases the big turn-around in your fortunes will be seen in the next seven days but in all cases this is the beginning of a new cycle of growth and opportunity. Sound too good to be true? For once believe in your lucky stars.
7th April 2003 - 13th April 2003 Aries are not very good with mixed messages - you favour straight talking and direct action - so you must do your best this week to consider all angles of a situation and look underneath the surface appearance of events. It is possible that someone has been concealing their feelings or keeping you in the dark therefore in order to prevent an egg-on-face scenario, keep your opinions to yourself and do not be afraid to probe until you reach the truth. You may also need to exercise self-restraint when it comes to money - an irresistible item could turn out to be faulty and a financial proposal could sound more promising than it really is. Be cautious but not crushed.
14th April 2003 - 20th April 2003 With the sun in your sign and a spring in your step is there anything that can dent the Aries spirit? Probably not, although the full moon of the 16th intersected by combative Mars is a cause for concern and certainly for caution. Mars is currently journeying through the area of career and life ambitions and while you can make terrific progress under Mars you will also encounter enemies, whether in the form of competitors or your own behaviours. With this in mind avoid being too forthright in your opinions, too sure of yourself or too high and mighty. By sharp contrast, this astro-scape could signal the approach of a new love, a new stage of a relationship or a new supporter.
21st April 2003 - 27th April 2003 April should be blossoming for Aries and if it’s not the arrival of Venus in your sign on the 21st could soon fix the problem. Sometimes it takes a little longer for events to catch up with the astrology and at the very least the actions you have been taking and current developments should lead to positive outcomes in the future. Venus promotes love and harmony, so aside from the next few weeks representing a time when your love life gets back on track this planet will encourage a more loving and peace-oriented feeling in you. Instead of being the driving force behind people and endeavours you can relax, stand back and wait for opportunities and offers to come to you. And with Mercury turning retrograde on the 26th a little patience will go a long way too.
28th April 2003 - 4th May 2003 A great start to the week and although 1st April birthdays are in the limelight whenever you were born you should have reason to be cheered by developments now. It may be that an out of the blue event makes your day but since you are the courageous pioneer of the zodiac this would be an excellent time to bring a new endeavour into being or to make a move intended to fulfil a dream or ambition. The only shadow in this potentially brilliant period of April is cast by Neptune: this planet is notorious for creating smoke-screens and sending mixed messages therefore get any promise or plan in writing and check your information thoroughly.
12th May 2003 - 18th May 2003 Venus has some ten days left in your sign and even if she doesn’t produce the romantic high spot of the year she will do much to offset any potential upsets. And speaking of upsets! This week Neptune is in the ascendancy and this usually makes for intrigue and weird or wonderful events but add the effects of a lunar eclipse (16th) and you may end up very confused indeed. Finance and collaborative endeavours look to be in the main frame here: it may be that an item goes missing or that someone takes an action that throws all concerned into a spin. Whatever the scenario do your best to keep your head and to retain a strong grasp on facts and figures.
19th May 2003 - 25th May 2003 Even though Mercury gets back on track (20th) travel and communications still require care. You tend to be a shoot-from-the-hip individual and while this gives others a clear idea of where you’re coming from it doesn’t always win you friends and supporters. Thus, think twice before you give your undiluted opinion and seek advice before you make a commitment or spring into action. There are some hidden factors that may well come to light this week and until you know what you’re getting into or when might be the appropriate time to take off, delaying your decision would be to your advantage.
26th May 2003 - 1st June 2003 As a general rule of thumb when eclipses are near at hand it is wise to fight your Aries spirit: reckless, impulsive and forceful actions should be avoided at all costs. And since Saturday’s solar eclipse falls in the area of communications, you should be especially cautious with the written and spoken word. This may indeed be the right time to make an all-important move, one that is intended to widen your professional or personal horizons, but the consequences of such an actions are likely to extend far further than you expect. Do not leave anything to chance and think twice before you say or do anything that could put you in the line of fire.
2nd June 2003 - 8th June 2003 Saturn’s arrival in your fellow cardinal sign, Cancer, may pass by unnoticed and unmarked by an event of any significance, however, during the course of the next two years you should become increasingly established, either in your career or your personal life. With this in mind the first half of June could well be a time when any frustrations with your job or your home/a relationship reach a peak, urging you to take affirmative action. Especially if you have a March birthday now is the time to take a long hard look at the reality of your position and make rational and reasonable decisions. It is not a time to go off half-cocked!
9th June 2003 - 15th June 2003 After a blockbuster start to the week, events continue to prove challenging and certainly illuminating. But this should present no problem for the intrepid Aries warrior. Faced with an ultimatum, or a situation that appears to have come seriously adrift, you have the courage and ingenuity to get around the impasse. Indeed, it may be that events have done you a favour in that they will free you from a commitment, or a restricting pattern, and enable you to pour your energies and talents into more worthwhile directions. Nevertheless, if you want to reach the end of the week sane and serene, go cautiously about your business and don’t take on anyone bigger and better than you.
16th June 2003 - 22nd June 2003 Welcome to the world of water - water signs that is. On the 17th ruler, Mars, dives into the sign of Pisces while on the 21st the sun sails into Cancer so you are entering a period of the year when nothing is quite as it seems, and you’ll get far further by listening to others, observing their actions and reflecting on what it all means as opposed to jumping in with both feet, sans water wings! However, the weekend looks to be one of the most enjoyable of late and even if you’re not attending a fun event you will have other reasons to thank your lucky stars. And with a series of blockbuster aspects to come next week, this might be an excellent time to seal any leaky situations.
23rd June 2003 - 29th June 2003 To be forewarned is to be forearmed, as they say. While last week produced the most enjoyable and profitable influences, yielding at least one happy event, the 23rd marks the beginning of a week of challenges. As you know, Aries invariably rushes in where angels fear to tread but you are going to have to put on the mufflers and the brakes now. Impulsive, headstrong actions are not to be recommended and if the way forward is blocked by circumstances beyond your control, or people of influence, make a dignified and gracious detour. A spontaneous remark or an instantaneous decision will have powerful long-term consequences.
30th June 2003 - 6th July 2003 You may still have to tread carefully with certain people and situations but the horizon is looking brighter. Harmonious links between Mercury and Venus in the area of home and life-foundations help you find alternative avenues for the resolution of recent problems and an ingenious idea or offer could send you off in a whole new direction. Indeed, what you need now is to combine practical considerations with innovative moves, whether this translates as your examining the cause of a recent disappointment, righting its wrongs and getting back in the saddle, so to speak. And while you should not rely on sheer good luck, chance could play a big part in this week’s developments.
7th July 2003 - 13th July 2003 Aggravation or action-stations - you can choose. A series of aspects forming at the base of your chart could produce an event that initially appears to stop you in your tracks but this is not the case, as you should come to understand once the full moon of the 13th has faded. Especially if you have a March birthday this is a period that calls for practical thinking and realistic decisions. Just because one avenue has become blocked does not mean that there is not another course open to you. Home, family and your role in life are all under the astro-microscope and whether you’re taking on extra duties or feeling the weight of your responsibilities, you will rise to the occasion.
14th July 2003 - 20th July 2003 If you’re in the mood to be schmoozed, these stars will not disappoint. Indeed, wherever you are and whatever is on your agenda it won’t take someone long to dazzle you. Or maybe baffle you is nearer the mark. Mercury-Neptune combinations are great for inspired leaps of faith but somewhat shaky when it comes to real life decisions. Thus, while you should enjoy the romantic and social events of the week ahead you need to think very carefully before committing money or time to someone who is strong on promises but weak on delivery. Over the weekend let the moon in Aries empower you and take you straight to the heart of the matter.
21st July 2003 - 27th July 2003 At last the cosmos is beginning to look a lot happier, and so, in tandem should you. During the course of the next two weeks the area of pleasure and creativity looms into view, enabling you to take some time out for fun. Aside from the prospect of a break from routine and one or more social events that will bring out your sparkle, you appear to be getting a new lease on life. A new start is writ large in these stars, whether through ideas and endeavours that spring into being or because a new person in your life fills you with love and hope. And even if you are still working your way through a catalogue of problems, you’re about to see some light in the distance.
28th July 2003 - 3rd August 2003 With the arrival of Venus in the pleasure zone of your chart you now have a full compliment of planets to help you make the most of life. And with ruler, Mars performing an about-turn on the same day (29th) the more laid-back you are the better able you will be to handle any delays and irritations that come your way. Indeed all the signs are of an Aries retreat. Ideally, of course, this should translate as time out from the rat race but if you are still at the helm of your career and domestic ship do your best to be tolerant, patient and forgiving. And in the event of any serious opposition to your hopes and plans, remember there are other pebbles on the beach.
4th August 2003 - 10th August 2003 You are either divinely inspired under these influences or in a complete muddle, therefore while I do not want to burst your balloon you do need to be on the look out for situations that and people who are not quite what they seem. If the week ahead contains a big social event or activities of a romantic or spiritual kind, then Neptune will prove to be the perfect ring-master but if you need to put a matter onto a firm and solid footing it could turn into a three-ringed circus! Enjoy the romance of this week’s stars but don’t let your frustration get the better of you if people fall short of their promises. That’s life, not a causus belli.
11th August 2003 - 17th August 2003 I wouldn’t call this week’s influences the stuff of pure undiluted joy but they do serve a purpose. The 12th’s full moon cuts across the creative axis of your solar chart, thereby bringing a gestation period to an end: something has been cooking for a while and it is time to deliver. Add to this a Mercury-Pluto connection (13th) and the signs are of a revelation, or at least a realization of a true state of affairs. Do not do your usual Aries ‘thing’ this week, which means action first and thoughts (or regrets) later: give due to consideration to events then make the most expedient move. Not for the first time is your astrologer urging you to think outside the box.
18th August 2003 - 24th August 2003 There is so much happiness to be gained with these alignments that you should do your level best to set aside feelings of anger or resentment - even if you do have some justification for them. Aside from simply enjoying life, you could be on the receiving end of a fantastic offer or you could be bringing into being something very special indeed. All right, there is an element of uncertainty and unpredictability to contend with but provided you act with integrity and you have tied up all loose ends you appear to have reached one of the most successful points of the last few years. You have earned everything coming to you now.
25th August 2003 - 31st August 2003 When Mars assumes a leading role, Aries goes into battle - or at least finds the energy to tackle situations that are dragging their feet. And since the sixth house of work and well-being is involved if your career has stalled now is the time to pull out all the stops. Likewise, if you are less than impressed with the body beautiful or putting up with a health worry, the moment for action has arrived. There is an unusual and surprising flavour to these stars so solutions to problems can be found in unexpected quarters and people may present you with offers and decisions that necessitate a re-think of certain aspects of your life. Just remember the old adage: more haste, less speed.
1st September 2003 - 7th September 2003 It doesn’t always take a Mars-Jupiter opposition to raise your energy levels and give you courage, but it helps. So, if you have been holding back, for reasons other than force of circumstance, this is your signal to pull out all the stops. However, this week’s alignments are the proverbial double-edged sword - while they up the tempo and heighten your potential for success, they can also generate controversy and friction. With this in mind, make sure you know the difference between acting on the strength of your talents and with complete integrity and embarking on a self-destructive ego trip.
8th September 2003 - 14th September 2003 Even though the alignments of the week ahead are not directly focused on your sign, it might still behove you to tread extremely carefully, both in the sense of what you say to others and the physical moves that you make. What may now see the light of day could have been brewing for some considerable time - indeed you may have ignored the warning signs believing that the situation would simply blow over. However, the time has come to grab the nettle by the throat, so to speak, and to make decisions that are both courageous and expedient. These influences expose that which is rotten at the core and by stripping away the dead wood, new shoots will appear sooner than you think.
15th September 2003 - 21st September 2003 On the 15th Venus enters the zone of love and relationships, which is one of the more pleasing transits of the year, especially if your love life could do with a kick start. And, considering the tempestuous alignments of the past couple of weeks this harmony-bringing planet may also prove useful in mending a broken fence or two! Certainly, you are moving into a period where alliances of the romantic and business variety can be formed and other people show you how much they admire and appreciate you. Whatever the realities you are facing at present, you may discover that you have friends where you need them most.
22nd September 2003 - 28th September 2003 On the 23rd the autumn equinox not only signals a change of seasons but the arrival of the sun in the zone of love and relating. You may be the zodiac’s most fearless and independent warrior but even you eventually discover just how much other people can help or hinder your progress. A series of aspects to Saturn between now and the 6th October reveals the value of certain individuals, which means some Arians will now be ready to make a long-term commitment or renew a contract while others will sense separation in the air. This is not a fortnight for knee-jerk responses but a time to make a long and considered decision.
29th September 2003 - 5th October 2003 On the face of it this is a pleasant and laid-back week but we are heading towards a sun-Saturn connection, which carries with it a reality warning, especially if you have an early April birthday. Aries are renowned for the speedy and forceful way in which they reach their decisions and perform their tasks and while this often puts you ahead of the game occasionally in your hurry some essential details get lost. With this in mind, use this week to ensure that a financial or domestic matter is watertight and that the people you need and upon whom you rely are fully behind you. The hard work you put in now will pay off in spades in the future.
6th October 2003 - 12th October 2003 You get one full moon in your sign each year and this year it falls on 10th October. At this time your feelings and intuition motivate your actions, and reason and commonsense fly out of the window, so
before you make an irrevocable move, think carefully through the consequences. Relationships zoom into
the foreground now, whether you are about to make a long term commitment to an individual or an
organization or someone new enters your life with a view to becoming a permanent part of it. Yet these
same intense influences could inspire you to break a contract. While the path with the heart is always
the one to follow, that doesn’t mean you have to do away entirely with tactics and a strategy.
13th October 2003 - 19th October 2003 The last couple of weeks may well have given you cause to think long and hard about whether or not you have bitten off more than you can chew. Saturn is not truly the doom-merchant of the planetary team but the wise teacher so you should look at current developments with a view to what they are revealing about the direction and purpose of your life, and where you might have veered onto the wrong track. Someone may be proving to be very resistant to your charms or your ideas but instead of becoming righteously indignant you should try to discover why and what you could usefully change.
20th October 2003 - 26th October 2003 On the 23rd, the sun's arrival in the eighth house of your solar chart sets in motion a series of crucial developments linked to your emotional and/or financial prosperity. As one of the more independent and innovative signs it will now behove you to wait and see what other people have to offer and, rather than play the game by your rules, discover the advantages of collaboration and compromise. For some Arians this is the beginning of a six-week period in which your monetary position could be totally transformed; likewise a professional or romantic relationship could change your fortunes. Let your head rule your heart this time.
27th October 2003 - 2nd November 2003 This is both an exciting and somewhat unsettling week. Uranus and Neptune are prime-movers so while unexpected good news could be on its way, also present is the potential for sudden upsets that precipitate breaks in professional or personal alliances. You need to be especially careful in your dealings away from home territory and with people or companies in far away places: your rules and expectations are different from those of others and to be on the safe side you should take an overly diplomatic route. If you succeed big time this week, remember not everyone will be as delighted as you, and if you skid on one of those banana skins, bear it with good grace.
3rd November 2003 - 9th November 2003 Full moons that cut across the financial axis of your horoscope invariably bring money issues to a head but when they are eclipsed those issues become bumper sized. For some Arians the lunar eclipse of the 9th signals the successful conclusion of a long negotiation or the receipt of a sizeable amount of money but for others it appears to be financial crunch time. Facts need to be faced now and measures taken to reduce your overheads: you can do very well financially so any cutbacks or hardships to be experienced will be temporary. November should prove to be a time of reckonings and reappraisals - for which ultimately you will be very grateful.
10th November 2003 - 16th November 2003 A week of mixed messages, so take your time and do not rush to judgment, especially on a financial or relationship matter. Batting for the Aries side are Mars and Saturn: these two will help consolidate your plans for the future: they will enable you to make solid financial decisions and encourage you to get on the right path to security and stability. Against you are Mercury and Uranus, who could throw you a curved ball in the form of a sudden and unaccountable change in an arrangement or an unexpected U-turn by someone upon whom you relied. Communications could be thrown into disarray so leave nothing to chance or the last minute.
17th November 2003 - 23rd November 2003 This week’s total solar eclipse falls in the area of far horizons and it may well augur a journey to a long distance destination in the very near future, and perhaps for an unexpected reason or with an unanticipated outcome. Your long term plans are also in the main frame now and since the overall nature of the astrology is depth-charged and somewhat delicate, even if you receive welcome news or are looking forward to events already in the diary, you should be circumspect in your behaviour and prepared for last minute changes. This is not a week to take a chance with life, limb and your bank account.
24th November 2003 - 30th November 2003 So, what do the tough do when the going gets tough? Retail therapy notwithstanding, those who have any chance of achieving a successful result, gain some distance and perspective. With Mars currently in the fog-bound twelfth house, you are almost certainly minus a few facts and your usual focus, so do not go into the attack on the whiff of a rumour. The area of long distance matters is in the centre of events, whether a journey suddenly becomes necessary or a trip is postponed for reasons beyond your control. Short term measures and quick fixes are not advised now: small actions have big consequences.
1st December 2003 - 7th December 2003 Get your Saturn boots on - there are some heavy-duty chores to be done this week. And even if hard work wasn’t on your agenda, you would be doing yourself an enormous favour by bringing forward those duties and tasks you have been avoiding. Certainly, this is an excellent time to attend to weak structures, whether those can be found in your four square walls or in endeavours and relationships. And, with Christmas but three short weeks away this would be an appropriate moment to draw up a budget, with the intention of sticking to it, regardless of temptation. The fun is yet to come.
8th December 2003 - 14th December 2003 Your love of adventure and your lack of fear make you one of the most engaging signs of the zodiac but even you may be in danger of biting off more than you can chew this week. With Pluto and Saturn sharing centre stage events will have long-lasting consequences and you need to think very carefully before you head into unfamiliar territory. People from afar or situations with overseas connections are likely to be the reason for any major developments and while your horizons could be widening big time now, there is also the possibility of a break with an individual or organization. Think like a Scorpio!
15th December 2003 - 21st December 2003 Thank goodness it’s Christmas! You can lift the weight off your shoulders and take to the festive occasion in the manner born. And the sooner you start the better. With energetic and assertive Mars entering your sign (16th) and communication -chief, Mercury turning retrograde (17th) you are in that frustrating position of having your foot hard down on the accelerator and the hand brake on. Consider the real work to begin in the second week of January: now is the time to exude good will to all men and allow other people to share the tasks and the limelight. Christmas this year is all about love and peace, sharing and caring - prepare to give generously and to receive.
22nd December 2003 - 28th December 2003 On the 22nd the sun reaches the Mid-heaven of your solar chart, setting the stage for a four-week period when you can go far, especially in the sense of your career and reputation. And although your focus for this week may be on the spirit of Christmas somewhere in the back of your mind you will be mulling over your future prospects. First, it seems you must do away with superficialities and vagaries and concentrate on realities - and while this may make absolute sense as far as your career plans go there could be some other issues, of a family nature perhaps, that require the same approach. The only bells and whistles should be on the Christmas tree.
29th December 2003 - 4th January 2004 Saturn presides over the New Year’s celebrations, which is a sobering thought. While you have many reasons to be upbeat about your 2004 prospects there are still some seemingly irresolvable issues, and these will be echoing at the back of your mind as 2003 slips into history. A more realistic you is emerging under these stars and even if you cannot yet make a decision about where to be - whether in terms of your career or home base - you are beginning to separate what is possible and practical from what is sheer fantasy. By the second week of January life will start to move in a more positive direction.
5th January 2004 - 11th January 2004 This may not have been the greatest of entries into a new year but it is a least reassuring to know that you now have no illusions about certain people. True colours have been revealed and you know where you stand. With these sentiments in mind the full moon of the 7th helps you close a chapter and set the seal on an understanding reached over the past few weeks. By contrast Jupiter’s part in this week’s astro-scape presents the prospect of a new job or a reward for services rendered - perhaps the perfect antidote to this season of cold winds and frosty exchanges.
12th January 2004 - 18th January 2004 Are you fired with ambition and already fulfilling a New Year’s resolution or two? If not, along comes Mercury to give you the power of persuasion. Meetings and discussions are at the top of your astro-agenda and you may discover that someone has a very promising idea to put to you. Thursday’s Venus-Uranus conjunction adds a dash of spice to events, whether you meet someone new who lights your fire or whether an unexpected or unusual opportunity presents itself. Certainly, it seems the old routes are not the best ways forwards this week!
19th January 2004 - 25th January 2004 You are finally able to lift your head up from what has been an intense and somewhat difficult start to 2004. The sun’s arrival in the area of creativity and collaboration (20th) encourages you to think of ways in which to fulfil your talents and interests and enables you to see that the material things of life aren’t all of life. You do not entirely lose Saturn’s grip on your affairs but during the coming week instead of feeling opposed by people and constricted by duties and responsibilities you can finalize an offer and set in cement plans for the future. You’re getting there, Aries, admittedly in fits and starts, but it’s progress.
26th January 2004 - 1st February 2004 Venus is currently tucked away in the reclusive twelfth house of your solar chart so if a love affair is experiencing a touch of frost, do your best to remain calm and patient - once this planet of love and harmony enters your sign (8th February) both you and the relationship should start to warm up! Nevertheless, there could be some positive developments this week, especially on the work front or in regard to an overseas connection - indeed, if you are debating whether to broaden your career scope or go out on a limb for your beliefs this expansive cosmos could float your boat.
2nd February 2004 - 8th February 2004 Arians are not very good with mixed messages - you like things plain and simple - however, this is one of those periods when a situation subtly changes from day to day and people will not necessarily mean what they say. Indeed, you too may be less than certain how you feel about someone or something. Especially between the 2nd and 6th be cautious in your words and actions: if your instincts are telling you that all is well, you will not affect the positive outcome but if someone is about to change courses mid-stream or your position is being eroded in any way, the less you say and do the better.
9th February 2004 - 15th February 2004 As Venus moves through your sign she serves several purposes: first, she helps you recognize the importance of love and harmony in your life, second, she does her best to bring such things into existence, and finally she gives you added doses of charisma and good luck. All right, you may not achieve the singlemost important objective on your list, nor will Mr or Ms Right suddenly propose marriage and happy-ever-afterness but we could be in the ball park. The first test Venus meets, however, is between the 11th and 15th - you’ll receive solid evidence that you are loved or you will know for sure whether you need to channel your loving spirit in more worthwhile directions.
16th February 2004 - 22nd February 2004 Courage and frankness are the hallmarks of your sign - though some people might convert those assets into recklessness and rudeness! - but with the sun’s entry into the house of subtleties and secrets (19th) you need to play it softly, softly. Not only do you have to take greater care with your physical and emotional health but also you need to be more alert to the undercurrents of situations. And this advice could come in extremely handy on or near the 20th! Personal and professional relationships are a proverbial minefield at this time and an unintentional remark or misguided move could lead to all manner of upsets.
23rd February 2004 - 29th February 2004 That old adage - do not jump in where angels fear to tread - could come in very handy this week. You simply cannot see the whole picture at the moment and to make a vital move under these circumstances is to almost guarantee problems in the future. This is not to say that people are deliberately lying to you or that an opportunity is far from the brilliant one you believe it to be but you cannot take everything at face value - you need to perform thorough background checks and insist on some kind of insurance policy. Being gullible and naive is not an excuse: it’s the route to failure and disappointment.
1st March 2004 - 7th March 2004 Health and well being, work and responsibilities are all brought into focus by Saturday’s full moon. And with Jupiter in the mix any positive developments look to be jumbo-sized and any difficulties inflated - very probably by yourself. Put another way, while you may be able to celebrate a success this week in regard to your job or coming through a worrying time, you are likely to exaggerate the extent of a problem at work or with your personal life. Balance is what you need now - too much of anything is bad for the Aries constitution - and in both emotional and physical terms.
8th March 2004 - 14th March 2004 Subtlety and strategy are not your strongest suits - you’re the shoot-from-the-hip, intrepid warrior of the zodiac - but at this time you need to be aware that other people will be quite happy to see you fall into a large pothole of your own making. With the sun closeted in the twelfth house either you are too preoccupied or too exhausted to realize what is going on behind your back, or a situation that has been percolating gently is now ready to come to the boil. Either way, follow up any loose ends and if you have been avoiding confronting a difficult issue, now is the moment to do so - and in a calm, practical and co-operative manner.
15th March 2004 - 21st March 2004 Hallelujah! You’re emerging out of the woods and into reality. First Mercury (12th) then the sun (20th) enters your sign giving you back your vitality and chutzpah and clearing up a small mystery or two. From the 21st you begin a brand new cycle and even if there is no new enterprise to bring into being, avenues of opportunity should shortly appear. Indeed, this is the beginning of an adventurous and growth-oriented period, one when you may travel far and create new personal and professional blue prints. Do I have a reservation? Well, around the 15th you may get a reminder that before you can fly, the ticket must be paid for!
22nd March 2004 - 28th March 2004 Saturn and Uranus play two entirely different roles in your life. While Saturn’s function is to keep you on the straight and narrow, to remind you of your responsibilities and limitations, Uranus is forever urging you to get out of ruts and challenging you to think of new ways forward. Now you have an opportunity to see which planet is currently the stronger force. Especially if it is your birthday between the 24th and 31st March you will need to remind yourself that there is a price to pay for bending the rules or breaking with tradition: likewise you may well discover that hanging on to something or someone for security is a mistake.
29th March 2004 - 4th April 2004 Compared to last week, this is a breeze! At the very least you should be able to rationalize a recent difficulty but at best you could see a complete turn-around of a situation. Mercury heads into the zone of self-worth on the 1st, so you will have the equivalent of a planetary tail wind when it comes to negotiating your way out of a financial hole or reaching a satisfactory monetary conclusion. (No, this is not an April Fool!) Venus also changes signs and begins to work her special magic on relationships, especially those that have become strained in recent weeks. All in all, a week of recovery and rapprochement.
5th April 2004 - 11th April 2004 If you want to have the best Easter ever, you’re going to have to bend over backwards to accommodate other people’s needs and wishes. There is an unexpected element to build into your plans, especially between the 8th and 11th , and you’ll also need to allow more time for journeys. In some ways this is the perfect time to solemnize a relationship or to forgive and forget, yet it is also a period when underlying issues and grievances surface, giving rise to ultimatums and sudden departures! (The only fireworks to be seen should be those lighting up the night sky.) Do your best to tolerate small crimes and misdemeanours, and if events turn out differently from your expectations, remain positive and upbeat.
12th April 2004 - 18th April 2004 Taken on their own, this week’s stars are absolutely fabulous; viewed in light of the forthcoming solar eclipse in your sign (19th) my advice would be to act in moderation at all times. Planets in the area of travel and communications will help you make big statements, whether this infers you can voice an opinion/intention that will have major consequences or that by going the distance you will accomplish a great deal, and certainly add to your bank of knowledge and experience. The weekend is one of the most dynamic of the year so far - perfect for coming to conclusions in every sense of the phrase.
19th April 2004 - 25th April 2004 Aries are the great go-getters of the zodiac: once you have a target in sight, you pursue it regardless of the hazards involved - and the people you may ride roughshod over along the way! But not this time, eh? The combination of a solar eclipse in your sign (19th) and ruler, Mars opposing Pluto (24th) suggests caution before action, especially where legal and contractual matters are concerned. You should also put safety before speed and allow diplomacy and compromise to triumph over pride and ambition. While your personal and professional horizons are opening up, inspiring great journeys of the real and metaphorical kind, right now you should simply remain open to the new and the different, without forcing it.
26th April 2004 - 2nd May 2004 After a period of delays and mis-communications, life gets back on track. The areas of money and work are brilliantly aspected, indicating, at the very least, an improvement in a difficult situation but at best, a career development that boosts your ego and/or your bank account. You may still need to be cautious and diplomatic in your dealings with colleagues and superiors, and travel over the weekend could have its little problems, but in the main this is a progress-oriented and successful week. Indeed, you are at a point in the year when you can build solidly towards your future: the credits are beginning to exceed the debits - and not just in terms of your bank account.
3rd May 2004 - 9th May 2004 Not a week for the feint-hearted. A lunar eclipse across the financial axis of your horoscope brings a monetary matter to a head. Some Arians can look forward to a satisfactory financial settlement, or a positive response to a proposal, while others may experience precisely the opposite, and whatever the week produces in the way of gains and losses, this is the time to set your financial house in order. What you will also need to do is question certain statements and actions, since there is a strong possibility that someone has his or her facts wrong and that a piece of vital information is missing. Take things one step at a time, and under no circumstances lose your sense of proportion or your sense of humour!
10th May 2004 - 16th May 2004 Arians prefer to tackle situations head on, and as speedily as possible, so with the current hot spot in your chart being the area of finances, you’ll have no trouble immediately resolving a monetary concern or tying up a loose fiscal end. Or will you? Last week’s lunar eclipse may well have illuminated any weakness in your accounting system - or any other system, come to that - but rather than resorting to emergency measures, you would be better waiting until Friday before deciding on an appropriate form of action. The moon will be in your sign between the 14th and 16th empowering you and creating the ideal climate in which to make ambitious moves and come to sound conclusions.
17th May 2004 - 23rd May 2004 If you appear to have been spending rather too much time playing ‘catch-up’, and dealing the residue of past events, you can begin to make progress this week. Indeed, you should be taking advantage of these helpful influences and steaming ahead with a domestic or property matter. Renovation, removal vans and refurbishment aside, this is a time to mend fences with certain family members and to lobby support for future events that involve your nearest and dearest. Wednesday’s new moon signals a new source of income for some Arians while others look set to receive some fresh input on a financial situation. Over the weekend, aim to put a piece of your past behind you.
24th May 2004 - 31st May 2004 It’s down to business, Aries. The week ahead is choc full of influences that help you face facts and make appropriate changes. On Tuesday combative Mars, joins up with taskmaster, Saturn, so while this is not the jolliest of weeks, once you’ve made a big decision or dealt with a major task, you’ll gain a great sense of satisfaction. Ideally, you should stay close to home now: on the one hand, many developments could involve the home and family, and, on the other, travel could produce its share of little irritations. While you may be the one to surprise your nearest and dearest with your actions, it is more likely that out of the blue events will change your outlook and your plans.
31st May 2004 - 6th June 2004 Moderation is rarely Aries’ stock in trade, and never when the combined forces of Jupiter and Pluto are running the show - as they are this week. You may feel compelled to tell certain individuals precisely how you feel, and while no one is suggesting that you should lie your way through events, you should swallow your anger and make sure you have the full picture before you go on the offensive. At best, you may be on the receiving end of a wonderful offer or declaration of passion now, but at worst a decision may go against you and a plan may have to be aborted. As always when it seems fate has played a big hand in your affairs, be gracious in victory and noble in defeat.
7th June 2004 - 13th June 2004 Do your best to overcome your tendency to act first and think afterwards: giving your honest and forceful opinion or rushing to judgment is not advised in this tumultuous climate. Actions will have powerful consequences. And by the same token, the positive steps you take, especially those that have been in the pipeline for some time, could turn your life around. The travel and communications axis of your chart is the setting for most of the planetary action, so reaching your objectives is going to be something of a long day’s journey into night. There is more to situations than meets the eye, and you need to consider other people’s agendas before putting yours into action.
14th June 2004 - 20th June 2004 For the past three weeks it may have felt as though your every move was blocked or questioned, and in the process you have had to revise a plan or two, and possibly rethink your entire direction. This week marks the end of this pattern, although there is one last hurdle to surmount. In essence you are shedding a piece of your past, whether this amounts to an outdated belief or bidding goodbye to a person or a place. And, as with all farewells, there are bound to be regrets and anxieties. However, you’re an Aries - the zodiac’s soldier and pioneer - therefore your thoughts should be directed to the future and what new edifices can be constructed out of the remnants of the old.
21st June 2004 - 27th June 2004 On the 21st the sun’s arrival at the base of your chart signals the beginning of a short season of great activity on the home front. For some Arians, preparations for a key event are already in progress while others who have been merely considering some changes will now be ready to implement them. To add to the fun, Mars enters the area of creativity and pleasure setting the stage for a six-week period when you’ll be able to leave routine and responsibilities behind and put your energies into the more enjoyable things of life. The only cloud on this week’s horizon comes in the form of Saturn, and even this could help you make a solid decision and put an end to any unsatisfactory situations.
28th June 2004 - 4th July 2004 Friday’s full moon in Capricorn brings a career issue to crunch point. It may be that you have been focusing too much of your attention on work and getting ahead so that your personal and family life has suffered, in which case you now have an opportunity to right the balance. Each full moon encourages small or large endings, and this one is on a fairly grand scale: at this time you may be leaving a job or moving house, on the other hand, you may be finishing a phase of activity or saying a temporary goodbye to a friend, colleague or family member. But far from this being a time of sadness and regrets, you should be celebrating the happy memories and looking to the future when there will be many more.
5th July 2004 - 11th July 2004 Riotous good fun is not quite how I’d describe these stars, but if you have a big job to accomplish and a serious decision to make, you’ve got all the astrological help you need. Providing you with a dash of inspiration and good luck is Jupiter: this planet, currently seated in the area of work and lifestyle, could add to your resources whether by improving your health and fitness levels or increasing your reputation and your earning power. Revealing where your limitations lie is Saturn, and on this occasion you may run into a brick wall of opposition regarding a property transaction or a domestic/family matter. All you need is patience and the knowledge that when one road appears to run out, there’s always another.
12th July 2004 - 18th July 2004 Fearless, courageous Aries, please do not head into battle this week without a plan of attack and a map of the area. Muddle-maker, Neptune, is in the ascendant so if events and other people can lead you astray they will. Fortunately, the zone of pleasure and creativity is involved so there is an equal chance that you will attend an event that you find uplifting or what you bring into being now could amount to the fulfilment of a dream. Romance could also be in the air, whether this translates as your not knowing where you stand with a certain person or whether someone makes you feel ten feet up in the air with happiness.
19th July 2004 - 25th July 2004 With the sun moving into fellow fire-sign, Leo, on the 22nd you are entering a lighter-hearted phase, and one when the creative things of life zoom to the top of your agenda. However, before you get your wings, there is a small matter of Sunday’s Venus-Pluto opposition! Caution before action is advised here, whether you feel compelled to tell someone what he or she can do with an idea, a job or the relationship or whether you jump into a situation without considering the consequences. You have the capacity to go far in life, Aries, but it would be good to reach your objectives without so many battle scars, don’t you think.
26th July 2004 - 1st August 2004 Achievement and a sense of fulfilment are writ in these stars. Clearly, there are many ways in which you can reach a target and feel pleased and proud with events, but for many Arians this is a time when you are bringing into being something that has been ‘cooking’ for many moons; it is a time of delivery and celebration. Nevertheless, there could be a small bunch of celestial Rams for whom Saturday’s full moon raises the emotional temperature, leading to upsets, and closing the door on an association or an endeavour. Whichever camp you fall into, pace yourself carefully this week and whatever comes or goes, don’t sweat the small stuff.
2nd August 2004 - 8th August 2004 Arians have been short on fun this year so it’s about time you put work and responsibilities on the back burner and found your hedonistic streak. This is the perfect time to take a holiday or to enjoy a trip into fantasy land. Social events, the arts and activities that take you out of yourself are all on the menu this week, and for a few celestial Rams there are double doses of romance. The only advice I would proffer is that with all the glitz and glamour in these stars, do make sure that you don’t forget this state of grace cannot go on forever - at some point you’ll have to come down to earth. And with Mercury turning retrograde next week, you may have to be careful that you’re not ignoring a glaring error or missing a vital point.
9th August 2004 - 15th August 2004 Provided you’re already on automatic pilot, there is nothing in this week’s stars to disturb your bliss: indeed, the more free time you have and the fewer responsibilities, the better. However, if you’re determined to make a lot of hard work out of life, you can give yourself deadlines to reach, objectives to achieve and people to organize. You see, on the 10th road-runner, Mercury, goes on a retreat, leading to communication log-jams and sundry travel hiccups, so a laid-back approach to life in general and work in particular is the only genuine way forward. And if you’re short on love and romance, Friday’s sparkling connection between Venus and Uranus could work a minor miracle.
16th August 2004 - 22nd August 2004 There's a sense of deja-vue about these stars. For the second time in as many weeks Mercury opposes quirky Uranus, changing an arrangement and making what you'd like to be set in cement all too porous. To add to the fun, ruler, Mars, also hooks up to Uranus so this is one week when you have to be doubly cautious with your statements and actions. Especially in regard to work or health, this is not a period in which to take chances or to assume that a problem will go away all by itself: situations need dealing with pragmatically and promptly, and without any spare energy being wasted on drama and retribution. By sharp contrast, this week could produce a welcome opportunity.
23rd August 2004 - 29th August 2004 If you haven't yet got back in gear, this week's astrology should do the trick. A cluster of planets in the area of responsibilities, thrusts your attention on work, whether in the sense of your job or duties that cannot be avoided. However, these are not gentle influences! It may be that during some time away, a matter has been forgotten and now suddenly it flares up, or, perhaps, a message has gone astray so that you have to go into turbo-jet mode to respond. And for some Arians an unexpected job offer or major change in your working routine is in the pipeline. Whatever the surprises of the week ahead, react in a calm and dignified manner - the reasons and the rationalizations will come later.
30th August 2004 - 5th September 2004 This week is all about recognizing your weak spots and doing something about them. Now, this may manifest as a health hiccup, a work problem or a domestic dilemma, but wherever a glitch arises the way to tackle it is in a practical, pragmatic manner. Arians are the speed-aholics of the zodiac, and all too often in your haste to reach your targets you trip over a concealed obstacle. However, this does not have to happen if you take things slowly and pull back when you realize that you are attempting more than you can successfully achieve. Between now and mid-September a series of events could change your long-term outlook and what happens this week could prove to be the first of them.
6th September 2004 - 12th September 2004 Even though this week's stirring alignments are not focused on Aries, you may nonetheless encounter the odd boulder and pothole along the path of your endeavours. And since you are one of the more impulsive and frank signs of the zodiac, before you head into a meeting or get into discussions make a decision not to force your point or argue with anyone who could do you damage. First and foremost this advice applies to the work place but in general this is a week when you should assume that if people can go ballistic, they probably will. On the plus side, if you need to energy and focus to complete a huge task, you have rocket power. Just be careful how you use it.
13th September 2004 - 19th September 2004 You may well have piled your plate too high and are only now beginning to feel a severe case of indigestion looming. Metaphors notwithstanding, if you are carrying too many responsibilities and working at full capacity, this week's combative influences could push you over the edge: you may lose your cool and damage a personal or professional relationship. Therefore, do your absolute best to cut down your commitments, to take as much rest as you can, and if someone or something rattles your chain, withdraw to a safe distance before reaching for firearms! By the weekend what seemed such a deluge will be seen for what it truly was - a storm in a teacup.
20th September 2004 - 26th September 2004 At long last, some good news! On Saturday, Jupiter enters the zone of love and partnership, thereby beginning a year-long season of romantic highs and major relationship developments. And this week's events could give you your first taste of such things. March Arians are front of the queue when it comes to being shown just how much a person or an organization appreciates you, and if you meet someone or are presented with an offer now, this could be the start of something big. My only reservation is that there is still a residue of upheaval in the shape of Pluto to deal with, so if you come up against a rather large obstacle this week, do not fight fire with fire.
27th September 2004 - 3rd October 2004 A full moon in your sign - and the only one this year - would normally provide cause for caution but with Jupiter protecting and providing for you, your optimism and confidence should remain undimmed. March Arians in particular could be looking at a period of their lives when offers and opportunities arise which considerably expand their horizons. Whether an organization or an individual recognizes your talents and rewards you now or whether one very special person gives you his or her unending love and support, be assured: your star is definitely rising. The only way I could burst your bubble would be to suggest that if you have overextended yourself - physically or financially - you are about to pay the cost. But I'm not going to burst your bubble, am I...
4th October 2004 - 10th October 2004 Aries is not the most sentimental sign but something seems to be plucking at your heartstrings now. It may be that you are putting together an event or bringing like-minded people together but instead of playing the role of fearless leader you are listening to and co-operating with others, and being deeply affected by what they say and do. And for some Aries this is a time when you could completely lose your heart to someone. While no one should underestimate the power of love to transform an ordinary life into something extraordinary, in the process of going with your heart you need to be a little careful over whom you trample...
22nd January 2007 - 28th January 2007 Despite being the most feisty and fearless member of the zodiac it doesn't take much to deflate your balloon; plus you tend to walk away from a broken dream rather than piece together the bits in order to repair the damage or, more usefully, examine the reasons for the collapse. And this is where this week's astrology comes in. Should a difference of opinion arise with a friend or a project run into difficulties, try not to go into abort-mode but work through the issues patiently and non-judgementally. In essence, Saturn is endeavouring to help you build your dreams with solid material not knock them down for the sheer pleasure of doing so.
Mistakes can be repaired.
29th January 2007 - 4th February 2007 Are you feeling full of ideas? Ready to start new projects and end those that are going nowhere? According to your stars you are about to bring something new and rather wonderful into being. Certainly, this is a week in which to put close friendships and creative endeavours under the microscope and sideline those which are time consuming and draining your resources. This is also a time when other people give you answers and, especially where a labour of love is concerned, you'll see just where your efforts and faith have got you. It's the end of the month, the close to a chapter and the beginning of great things to come.
Closure.
11th October 2004 - 17th October 2004 Saturn is not always a friend to Aries - this planet is synonymous with rules and red tape - so you're going to have to bite your lip this week and you'll have to be prepared for events to take their time. This having been said, if you've been waiting to put your signature to a contract or you've needed to know what someone really thinks, Saturn will oblige. Add to this a solar eclipse in the area of relationships and it seems other people are about to make a big impact on your plans. My advice is to err on the side of caution and under no circumstances to cut corners or flout the rules. And if someone gives you a piece of advice or offers you a valuable item, accept it with grace.
18th October 2004 - 24th October 2004 You may find this difficult to believe but you're not superhuman. And if you are labouring under the illusion that you are, this week's sobering alignments will soon set you straight! It may be that you have been working too hard or ignoring a health problem so, like it or not, you need a pit-stop and an overhaul. Certainly, it would be foolish to drive through red lights of any description now. Wednesday is the most challenging day of all, especially if you have a birthday on or near 19th April, and whenever your birthday this is a day to make sure you do not overreach your boundaries. At best you'll get a solid result this week but at worst you'll be brought down to earth with a bump.
25th October 2004 - 31st October 2004 Even though Thursday's total eclipse is not in your sign, there is still a need to apply caution, especially when dealing with finances or situations that affect your security, both in the material and emotional sense. Recent developments could be making you feel confident and optimistic but this should not be used as an excuse to stretch the budget to its limits, or to act in a high-handed manner with anyone. The area of relationships is also looking distinctly bullish, and with the arrival of the lovely Venus there on Friday, there could be some very happy romantic developments between now and late November. All the more reason, therefore, not to overreach yourself this week.
1st November 2004 - 7th November 2004 With benevolent Jupiter and hard-nosed Saturn playing an equally important role in this week's astrology, while one area of your life is sending you roses, another could be blowing you a big raspberry. Certainly, your love life should be no cause for complaint, and more than one person or organization could be singing your praises, so even in the event of a disappointing result you still have other fish to fry, so to speak. It may be that during the course of the next seven days you unearth a hidden problem, which means more money or time is needed to rectify the situation. Whatever you do, do not ignore a warning light - a realistic decision made now could make all the difference between future success or failure.
8th November 2004 - 14th November 2004 On first impressions, this is a great week. You're quite the flavour of the month with certain people and even though you might not describe your love-life as everything you ever dreamed of, you've lit someone's fire! All in all, this is an excellent period to mix and match, mend fences and speed the course of love. My only reservation is Saturn's change of direction (8th), which may well signal a reversal of some description. It may be that you have overstretched your financial limits, and it is time to go on an economy drive, or perhaps a property or family matter is going to take more time, money or energy than you had intended. Either way, pay attention to any signs of stress and strain, while remaining upbeat about your future.
15th November 2004 - 21st November 2004 Cheerful, fearless, headstrong Aries, please wear your protective armour this week, and take it nice and slow. Saturn's participation in events means they will require patience, strategy and negotiation, not a battering ram! Other people may not be giving you their whole-hearted approval and support, although you will have the satisfaction of knowing who is a fair-weather friend and who is there for you, regardless. Not that the next seven days are all hard work and no fun. On Sunday, the arrival of the sun in your fellow fire sign, Sagittarius, sets the stage for a period when your horizons open up, whether you get to add to your frequent flier miles or whether a great opportunity appears.
22nd November 2004 - 28th November 2004 Jumping in where angels fear to tread is Aries' forte, so why not change the habit of a lifetime, and take a step back. The combination of Uranus and a full moon on the communications axis is surprising at best and shocking at worst. It may be that you receive some news that totally changes your view of a situation, or perhaps your travel arrangements will have to be altered. There is no way of knowing whether you will be delighted at the overnight developments of the week ahead, but thinking twice before you respond could save you a whole lot of hassle. Likewise, if you suddenly get a great idea, don't act on your inspiration immediately - let your thoughts percolate gently.
29th November 2004 - 5th December 2004 These are very murky conditions for the intrepid Aries warrior to negotiate. Gone are your normal signposts and signals and in their place come wisps of information and indistinct views. Making life even more delicate is the fact that much of this mist and murk hovers over the area of finances and close relationships. Where finances are concerned my advice is to check and re-check the figures and make no major move unless it is backed up by paper work, and in the case of a romantic or working relationship, under no circumstances act on rumours or your instincts - at this time the voice of your hopes and fears is drowning out reality and common sense.
Take things very slowly.
6th December 2004 - 12th December 2004 The Aries Ram is invariably at its happiest, embarking on new projects and entering new territory so with the sun in the area of far horizons until the 21st there should be many events to please and delight you. Nevertheless, with Pluto in the picture during the next ten days, you will need to look into situations a lot more deeply, and you will have to be aware that your actions will have major consequences. On the plus side, some Arians may be about to take a big personal or professional step, while others will be embarking on a journey of some magnitude, but on the minus side, a loss of some description could temporarily knock the wind out of your sails.
Actions have consequences.
13th December 2004 - 19th December 2004 Impulse decisions should be avoided at all costs now, especially those that take place on the retail highway - Arians like to give generously and spend freely, but there are limits... On the other hand, if your intuition urges you to take a step back, obey it. A combination of Pluto and Uranus suggests caution, whether in regard to accepting an attractive proposition or attempting to resolve a difficulty. And there are deeper issues behind many situations. In a few day's time Mercury will be back on track helping you make sound judgments and turning a situation currently looking one way into something quite different.
Hold your horses.
20th December 2004 - 26th December 2004 After all the frustrations of the past few weeks, your pains prove worthwhile, and your fears unfounded. Arrangements that were hanging in mid-air are confirmed and people who have been out of reach are in touch. You'll be rushed off your feet during the week but by the weekend everything will be in place, and even those things that are not will in no way spoil the celebrations. On the 25th, ruler, Mars arrives in the long-haul sector of your chart so within the next six weeks you could be travelling some distance or dealing with an exciting new challenge that promises to take you far. Indeed, you should be in a far happier space than you were this time last year.
All's well that ends well.
27th December 2004 - 2nd January 2005 The theme of out with the old and in with the new is firmly etched in this week's stars. On the 31st fiery Mars hooks up to revolutionary Uranus sending old orders tumbling into history and opening up new vistas. Indeed travel and crossing new frontiers may have an entirely literal meaning for many celestial Rams since you will be spending the New Year away from home territory, and being exposed to some very different activities. However, the deeper meaning behind these influences is that as 2004 slips into the past, in your heart you know that some things have to change, and the first steps towards those changes may well take place within the opening weeks of 2005.
A New Year: a new leaf.
3rd January 2005 - 9th January 2005 Back to normal but with a vengeance. Pluto is in charge of affairs during the first week of 2005, which means that missing information re-surfaces and something that has been under wraps comes out into the light. Of course, any revelations could be entirely welcome, but just in case some problems arise with an overseas matter or with someone at some distance from yourself, do your best to deal with the situation with grace and forbearance. Fortunately, Jupiter is waiting in the wings, providing a consolation prize in the event of a setback and protecting you from serious damage. And for some a party or celebration is in the offing for the weekend.
Wake up and smell the coffee !
10th January 2005 - 16th January 2005 If reality hasn't quite set in after the joys of Christmas past, here comes happy camper, Saturn to remind you that debts must be repaid - and not necessarily of the financial variety. It may be that you have drained your physical and mental resources, so you are less than your usual positive self; on the other hand, a minor problem, perhaps of a domestic nature, will cause you to feel somewhat disappointed or frustrated. Try to get things into perspective, Aries: this is largely a practical matter and by dealing with the situation in a pragmatic way you will soon be back on the road to success. As I often say: this is part of life, not all of life.
Maintain a firm course.
17th January 2005 - 23rd January 2005 Life opens up. Travel may not be the only way of broadening your outlook but it could be one of the best. Foreign places, different faces and enjoyable events could all boost your energy levels and your stores of optimism, and if you've been wishing you could fly away from the weather, the routine or a heavy schedule, a short break could work a minor miracle. There could also be some happy news regarding a loved one, or a partner could come up with an idea that could add to your joint happiness or prosperity. All in all this is the best week of 2005 so far, in part due to your own efforts but also because other people may now be ready to talk the talk and walk the walk.
Heading in new directions.
24th January 2005 - 31st January 2005 Aries speed-aholics will have to watch their step this week - the going is particularly hazardous and the moment a red light of any description appears the brakes should be applied. Our friends, Saturn and Pluto are with us for the ride, which means the past has a large part to play in events. A good deed performed some time ago or a great effort expended, may now be rewarded yet if you have neglected to pay your dues or failed to keep to the rules, you could be about to pay the price. Be cautious in your dealings, err on the side of caution, and you won't go wrong: believe in your invincibility, stray off the straight and narrow, and you are likely to take a tumble.
Slowly, slowly.
31st January 2005 - 6th February 2005 Your sensitive side is revealed this week - or will your weaknesses be exposed? Oscar Wilde explained: I can resist everything except temptation, and this is a sentiment worth remembering whether you're contemplating a bout of retail therapy or considering embarking on a new liaison. Deception is in the air, and unless you are very sure of your footing and positive that your integrity is in tact, you should avoid taking a risk of any description - the only hot water you want to be immersed in is a scented bath. By contrast magical Neptune could preside over a happy gathering of like-minded souls, and/or your creative talents could know no bounds.
Truth matters.
7th February 2005 - 13th February 2005 Harmony reigns and Aries thrives and prospers. This is a particularly good week for furthering business and personal relations and for pursuing things of a collaborative nature. There could be good news for some - an offer confirmed or an invitation given - and, if you've chosen this week to celebrate a marriage, you couldn't have chosen better. Likewise, if you meet someone new under these joyous stars, the relationship should prove happy and fruitful. And, if you've suffered a disappointment or setback recently now is the moment to launch your offensive and get people to sit up and notice you and your abundant assets!
Getting there.
14th February 2005 - 20th February 2005 Astrologically speaking, you're sitting pretty at the moment, so if you're feeling blue and disenchanted with your lot, what is it that you're missing? One of Aries' biggest problems is lack of patience - as soon as a situation isn't zipping along your enthusiasm dims, and sometimes you abandon a project or a relationship when all it needed was a little more time. On the 18th, the sun slips into the underworld of the twelfth house, so you are about to enter a four-week period when there could be a general slowing down of life: all the more reason, therefore, to take the pedal off the metal for the week ahead and leave the cosmos to work on those dreams and ambitions.
Take the pedal off the metal.
21st February 2005 - 28th February 2005 As one of the great risk-takers of the zodiac, might I urge you to hold back on those impulse moves this week#63; Uranus is at work behind the scenes, so it is possible that although you may sense nothing wrong in a remark you make or a step you take, someone else could take offence, and that person will retaliate in kind at a later date. It may also be that you have so much on your plate at the moment you are ignoring a distress signal of some description. All in all, this adds up to a seven-day period when your radar should be in tip top condition so that a minor infraction does not become a major opus a little further down the line.
Gently does it!
28th February 2005 - 6th March 2005 Aries is one of the most courageous signs of the zodiac, however there is a fine line between being brave and being hot-headed - something to bear in mind under these confrontational stars. At best, this week brings news of a great achievement - your efforts will have proved worthwhile, whether you have been seeking a career improvement, looking to formalize a romantic relationship or hoping an organization will give you a positive response. But at worst you may now realize just what a powerful opponent you have, and that you have bitten off more than you can chew. One way or another, the next few days will bring enlightenment.
The a-hah factor.
7th March 2005 - 13th March 2005 Are you in the mood for hard work and tough decision-making? I hope so, because Mars and Saturn have you in their sights and seem determined to get you to face a fact or two and accomplish an outstanding chore. This planetary combination is constructive at best and dispiriting at worst, and since Mars is currently located in the area of life direction and Saturn is residing in the arena of home, these are likely to be the principle sources of any back-breaking work and/or painful realizations. Do your best to put a positive spin on the week's developments - change or mend what you can, and what you cannot, walk away from with your head held high.
Getting real.
14th March 2005 - 20th March 2005 The sun proudly enters your sign on Sunday, giving you back your optimism, clarity and vitality, and with Venus in its wake you are beginning one of the most favourable periods of the year. But - you knew there had to be a but! - before the sun and Venus get into their stride, a set of complex alignments could force you to take a step back. Now, this may manifest as the cancellation of an event or a difficult exchange with someone of power and influence, however it could also be that you have come too far in too short a space of time and you need to regain your balance and perspective. Whatever the events of the week ahead, forget about being the celestial Ram and behave more like a lamb.
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread...
21st March 2005 - 27th March 2005 Birthday presents come in the form of Venus as this beautiful planet enters your sign on the 22nd. This planet may spark a desire to have more beauty and love in your life and it could also give you an extra edge should you be looking to further your personal or professional ambitions. Even Friday's full moon, which like all full moons has the capacity to exaggerate minor infractions and amplify any disappointments, could provide a happy ending to a relationship story. Indeed, this is the beginning of a period when romance plays a big part in your life, and the smell of success lingers longer than a mere moment.
A sweet interlude.
28th March 2005 - 3rd April 2005 Joy and jubilation! The planets continue to bestow Easter blessings on you, whether you choose merely to relax and have fun this week or whether you use these success-oriented alignments to pursue an ambition or two. Relationships are to the fore so while some Arians will be celebrating enduring love others could be meeting someone who lights their fire. Opportunities that come to you at this time will surely lead to great things in the future, and people who offer you their friendship, support and co-operation are the kinds of people you will want in your life forever. Enjoy your beautiful stars, and at the very least count your blessings.
Happy days.
1st April 2005 - 30th April 2005
4th April 2005 - 10th April 2005 It's all happening to Aries this week. Not only a solar eclipse in your sign but a series of contacts to Saturn help you close a long chapter and open a brand new one, and if not this week then within the next three months. Not that this process will be the proverbial piece of cake. Saturn is not known as the head-teacher at the school of hard knocks for nothing - you have to face up to your responsibilities with this planet, and you get to see where you have overextended yourself. However, it must also be remembered that Saturn, as lord of karma - the spiritual law of cause and effect - rewards you for hard work and patience. There's a sense of coming home about this astro-scape, of completion and of closure.
The end of a journey.
11th April 2005 - 17th April 2005 Hallelujah! Mercury turns direct and sets you moving in the right direction too. Indeed, this is a fast paced, progressive and positive week. It is especially good for matters of an overseas nature and for making moves that take you out of your usual territory. A love affair can be put on a stronger footing and discussions that may have stalled some weeks ago, possibly to do with a professional endeavour, could spring back to life. The only reservation I have is related to Wednesday's Mars-Neptune conjunction - a case of mixed signals, perhaps, or the voice of your hopes or fears blocking the sound of reason. Stay centred.
Mind over matter.
18th April 2005 - 24th April 2005 On the 8th April a solar eclipse in your sign announced a fresh start, whether this coincided with plans you had formed already or whether out of the blue events will change the pattern of life in the months to come. Now, on the 24th, a lunar eclipse reveals what unfinished business must be accomplished before you can freely and fully launch yourself into that new phase of life. For many Arians this task relates to a financial matter - you may have been too busy to notice that the debits were outperforming the credits, or perhaps you have been waiting for a promised sum to materialize - whatever the case it is time to put your accounts in order, to set the record straight.
Crunch point.
25th April 2005 - 1st May 2005 Do your best to keep your feet on the ground this week - there is a little too much exaggeration and fantasy in the picture. While it is good to feel confident about your abilities and your plans, with Mercury being egged on by Jupiter you have to be careful not to come across as boastful and suffering from a superiority complex. And, if other people are laying on the praise, be sure it is justified and not serving a secret agenda. This aside, you could have reason to be very encouraged by current events, and if you feel like being romanced or letting your hair down, the weekend is the time to do so, unreservedly.
Over-egging the pudding?
2nd May 2005 - 8th May 2005 After the party comes the hang-over, or in this case, after all that airy-fairy Neptune comes some down to earth Saturn. Yes. It's time to get serious about a matter that you have been dodging for a while, and the only way to deal with it is by being realistic and expedient. The area of home and family is in the frame here, although there could be other parts of your life that require the removal of your rose-coloured spectacles or could do with a cost-cutting exercise. Especially over the weekend, mean what you say and don't let anyone fob you off with an excuse, an unsubstantiated story or less than honourable behaviour.
You're taking no prisoners.
9th May 2005 - 15th May 2005 Just in case you were in danger of snoozing off under the recent planetary lull, ruler, Mars, runs into iconoclastic, Uranus, creating controversy or conflict. Mars, the most assertive and combative of planets its tucked away in the mysterious twelfth house, thus this meeting with Uranus could awaken you to a few facts of which you were blissfully unaware: this influence could also cause you to make mistakes, so at the very least you should avoid doing anything at speed this week, or acting in the heat of the moment. On the plus side, if you've been stuck for an idea or needing an ingenious way to handle a situation, you couldn't ask for more enlightening stars.
More haste, less speed?
16th May 2005 - 22nd May 2005 Very few people mistake your intentions or misunderstand your statements - Aries are wincingly frank and open - however, even you could generate some doubts or become the source of mystery this week. Therefore, before you make a move based on an assumption rather than a fact, take the time to check that all is well. This is not a period in which to rush into situations with blind enthusiasm, nor indeed to do anything at speed: take your time, think through everything very carefully and, most importantly, don't lose your cool. That way Uranus may instead give you a wonderful surprise or show you a new way around an old problem.
No rushing, no messing.
23rd May 2005 - 29th May 2005 The travel and communications axis of your horoscope is looking both active and complex. On the one hand, this is an excellent week to tie up loose ends, whether in the sense of signing contracts and setting a plan in cement, and, on the other, you could run into a hitch regarding a long-standing arrangement or meet with some opposition to your ideas. Aries likes to accomplish everything in double quick time, and with as few details to deal with as possible, but at the moment you have to take life at a far slower pace in order to avoid immediate slip-ups or putting in motion a set of events guaranteed to cause you problems further down the line.
Remember the tortoise and the hare.
30th May 2005 - 5th June 2005 Travel and communications are either fraught with aggravation or blessed with ingenuity. Eccentric Uranus is behind this week's wonderful highs and irritating lows, and considering Aries is the most headstrong and impulsive sign of the zodiac, might I suggest that you count to ten before you step into the breach, and dust off that diplomatic bag before you utter an opinion. Plans may change overnight, people could do the unexpected and the unwelcome, but you should let it roll off you like liquid silk. Use these ground-breaking stars to change an order that has outlived its usefulness but not to break a valuable alliance or make a mistake you'll regret.
Take your time.
6th June 2005 - 12th June 2005 You are on the ball and rarely backward in coming forward, however, you will have to fight all your speedy instincts this week, since to act in haste is almost certainly to repent at leisure. Legal, bureaucratic and educational matters are especially vulnerable to mistakes, and if in doubt you should hold back, no matter what pressures may be on you to make a decision. Travel too requires a little less enthusiasm, by which I mean journeys could be longer and more complicated than you had envisioned, and much the same can be said for business meetings and discussions with people whom you love. There is more to situations than meets the eye.
Look before you leap.
13th June 2005 - 19th June 2005 Assertive Mars has just entered your sign so you have six weeks in which to discover the pluses and minuses of this go-getting planet. However, given that this week already contains enough combustible material to inflame any and every situation, my advice would be to turn the other cheek in the event of any opposition and to play for time should a situation threaten to blow up in your face. Especially where travel, meetings and discussions are concerned prepare for obstructions and bombshells, yet also bear in mind that it is this kind of astro-scape that produces colossal breakthroughs and events that expand your life horizons.
Put down the firearms.
20th June 2005 - 26th June 2005 You're about to discover whether it is Jupiter or Saturn that has the upper hand in your life at the moment. If Saturn proves the stronger you'll be facing a reality and considering whether or not to pour more money, time and effort into an endeavour but should Jupiter turn out to reign supreme, then you'll be celebrating a victory, or simply enjoying a celebration. My advice is to pay close attention to minor distress signals, especially those emanating from the home or within the family: by resolving a problem quickly and with as little drama as possible, you should be able to party along with Jupiter over the weekend.
A stitch in time...
27th June 2005 - 3rd July 2005 With Venus and Mercury entering the creative and fun-loving area of your chart, and a little help from Jupiter, you look set for a positive turn events. News you have been awaiting could arrive and if you're not attending an enjoyable social event, you could be happy at the prospect of pleasures to come. This is an excellent week to make a conquest, whether in terms of your career or personal life, and if you're making a long-term commitment or taking some other large step, the future looks bright indeed. The only grey skies you could be looking at are out of the window: as far as your life goes it's sunshine all the way.
Happy days.
4th July 2005 - 10th July 2005 Aries are the zodiac's pioneers so you should be well pleased with the ground-breaking nature of this week's alignments. First and foremost, new starts are indicated on the home front - a fresh coat of paint for some, an addition to the family for others, and for a few, a house move - but if you have been debating starting a fresh project then these stars represent, lift-off. This is also a good week to meet new people and to socialize, whether for business or pleasure, and should you receive an offer or invitation of a business or romantic nature, don't play hard to get. Indeed, for once, there are all manner of pleasant influences surrounding your affairs.
Sweet influences.
11th July 2005 - 17th July 2005 This week has all the signs of being a turning point. Achievement oriented Mars and fortunate Venus form a prestigious alignment, enabling you to demonstrate your talents to good effect and bring into being brilliant and lasting endeavours. Add to this, Saturn's entry into Leo - a sign entirely compatible with yours - and a two-year cycle of personal and professional growth is about to begin. My only reservation over the week ahead is the presence of Neptune, which could throw a spanner in the works where a romance or a planned event is concerned. My advice is to check all those ducks are in a row on Monday, then relax and let the good times roll.
A new beginning.
18th July 2005 - 24th July 2005 Aries likes to do things at speed and with as little preparation as possible but this is not a policy to be recommended at the moment. While your instincts are acute and your wit and wisdom as sharp as a rapier, even you could be daunted at the size of the obstacle and the weight of the opposition. At best, this week's offerings bring solidity to a situation that was a mere blueprint - and what you bring into being will surely stand the test of time - but at worst you could receive a refusal or a plan will have to go on hold indefinitely. However, there is no reason for pessimism: your long term prospects are excellent and a current hiatus could be in your very best interests.
Don't rush your fences.
25th July 2005 - 31st July 2005 The week gets off to a terrific start with the moon in your sign and you in the driver's seat, however, in your hurry to fulfil your packed agenda be sure you don't tread on someone's toes or make an unnecessary error. As ruler, Mars, draws ever closer to pernickety Saturn minor crimes and misdemeanours will be revealed. Finances may be a week spot at the moment, and while you could sign a long-term agreement and set yourself on a solid fiscal ground, if you have stretched the budget to its limits or made an unwise move a cost-cutting exercise could be mandatory. Once you set your mind to something, Aries, there's nothing you cannot do.
Putting on the brakes.
1st August 2005 - 7th August 2005 There should be no complaints in the Aries camp about these stars. On paper at least, you are in a phase where you can put your unique stamp on personal and professional endeavours, and you can expect positive feed-back for your efforts. Confidence breeds success, whether you're seeking a pay-rise, looking for a yes vote of any description or wanting to find a place in someone's heart. If I had to issue a note of warning, however, it would relate to Neptune's input during the next ten days - a planet renowned for leading you up the garden path and sending you down de river of denial! Put another way, in your current enthusiasm for events and people, don't miss an error or an inconsistency.
Keep your eye on the ball.
8th August 2005 - 14th August 2005 According to the astrology, you are sitting comfortably in your field of dreams. Now, this may translate as your taking time out from the rat race and indulging in pleasures of one sort or another, or it could mean that you are blissfully ignorant of the real state of affairs regarding one or more situations. By all means enjoy your holiday from reality but if you have to deal with anything of a practical, serious or financial nature, please step out of your bubble and focus hard. Someone may not be telling you the whole truth, and you may miss an all-important detail on some paperwork. And even if you're in the middle of the great love affair, remember, one day you'll be coming back to earth...
Don't miss a trick.
15th August 2005 - 21st August 2005 Venus, the planet of harmony, enters the area of relationships on the 17th, earmarking the start of 2005's boom period for love and romance. Maybe you have already set the date for a wedding, or perhaps you have a romantic get-away planned, but if not, might I encourage you to get your skates on. Of course, Venus isn't only about the blossoming of love, but also the bringing together of like-minded people. Thus, the next four weeks could also prove fruitful for business and career matters. Aries is one of the zodiac's major go-getters but for the rest of August and much of September you may find that other people are doing their utmost to please and promote you.
Lucky you.
22nd August 2005 - 28th August 2005 With Mars as your ruler you are naturally ambitious, direct and headstrong but while these qualities help you to be a winner, under certain circumstances they can cause you to make serious errors and sustain some painful battle scars. And this is one of those times. Finances are the most likely target for any missteps, although if your instincts inform you that someone is not happy with a situation you should make every effort to establish the whys and wherefores before continuing on regardless. By contrast Venus is right behind you at the moment, giving her blessing to new relationships and inspiring happy developments in established partnerships.
Tread carefully.
29th August 2005 - 4th September 2005 Are you in the mood for love? I hope so, because it's certainly what Venus has in mind. This unifying planet is currently gracing the area of relationships helping you build bridges, mend fences and make conquests. Some Arians will receive a leg up the ladder of success now while others will simply have the pleasure of other people's company, and if you're getting married this week you have the most romantic alignment to bless the day. There is a small but, however, and this comes in the form of Uranus who may preside over a surprise development on the work front. Take a leaf out of Venus's book and rise above it all.
Loving influences.
5th September 2005 - 11th September 2005 The love story goes on. On Sunday, Venus concludes her stay in the zone of relating so you have a few more days in which to lobby support for your plans and to ensure the continuing good will of partners and associates. And, if you have a big romantic date this week, your beautiful stars will ensure its success. Your only obstacle to pure happiness looks to be Friday's Mercury-Uranus opposition, which could manifest as a severe difference of opinion at work or a message that throws your plans into temporary disarray. Keep your cool, Aries, there is a way around the situation and by acting in a gracious manner the solution will come all the quicker.
Make love not war.
12th September 2005 - 18th September 2005 While your redoubtable Aries spirit is at its best in the aftermath of adversity this same brand of courage can lead you into unnecessary scrapes. With this in mind, think twice before rushing to defend your honour or wading into a fight that is not your own. Top of the list for any current hot spots are work and legal matters, so especially where these two walks of life are concerned, take plenty of advice before committing thought to action. And in general behave cautiously and with respect for other people's feelings. Like all powerful alignments this planetary nexus can inspire great and good events, and even if they produce an unwelcome development, you will live to fight another day.
Count to ten.
19th September 2005 - 25th September 2005 Your reputation for being one of the zodiac's loners is largely a fabrication - you need people, just like everyone else - but just in case you had slipped into autonomy mode for a little too long, the sun and Mercury arrive in the zone of partnership all set for a month-long season of relationship developments. Certainly from Tuesday onwards you won't be able to do your own thing without constant interferences from other people; on the other hand, you could be delighted with the sudden rush of support for you and your ideas. As for love, this weekend is an especially romantic one, so polish up your charm particles and dust off those Barry Manilo CDs.
Two's company.
26th September 2005 - 2nd October 2005 At first glance, this week's influences look meek and mild, but lift the surface, and you'll see they pack a certain punch. On Saturday, ruler, Mars, currently housed in the zone of finance and self-esteem, turns retrograde, and will remain so until 10th December. Thus, you are beginning a cycle in which money may be hard to come by, and finding backing for you and your endeavours will be a slow and frustrating process. Nonetheless, you still have Jupiter well positioned so my advice is to start as you mean to go on, economizing and not expecting much praise and support. Also, with a solar eclipse on its way, caution before action is necessary all round.
Moderation in all things.
3rd October 2005 - 9th October 2005 What portents are revealed by Monday's solar eclipse? Given that new moons are signs of the new and this one falls in the area of relationships, a fresh page in your book of life and love is about to be turned. Not only an eclipse but also a fortunate Mercury-Jupiter conjunction in the same area suggests that a new professional or personal alliance is on its way, and it will lead to great things. Should you have recently signed an agreement/received an offer, or are shortly to do so, you can virtually guarantee that the events that flow from it will prove life-enhancing, and certainly life-changing. At the very least this is a time to think positive, and wait for good luck to arrive.
Signs of good fortune.
10th October 2005 - 16th October 2005 With a little too much input from Uranus this week, you need to keep your finger off the panic button and count to ten before you deliver one of your verbal punches. An individual or organization in a distant place could be the source of the aggravation, or you may feel that one of your long-range plans is in jeopardy. But whatever and whoever is behind the vicissitudes of the week ahead, be assured that the situation is temporary and that a way forward will be found in due course. And since Saturn also has a part to play you may need reminding that there is no point focusing on the negative - positive thinking is what you need now.
Storm in a tea-cup?
17th October 2005 - 23rd October 2005 Monday's lunar eclipse in your sign harks back to an earlier one in mid-April so by thinking back some six months you may well discover the reasons for the events of this latter part of October. The indications are that you have reached a crossroads, first and foremost in regard to a relationship, although more than one simmering issue could now reach boiling point. Fortunately, Jupiter is also on hand to provide joy and fulfilment making this a perfect week in which to marry or put your signature to a long-term contract. Take it one step at a time, Aries, whether you are closing a chapter or beginning a new one.
Making decisions.
24th October 2005 - 30th October 2005 You may be waving goodbye to jolly Jupiter as he leaves the zone of one-to-one relationships but he is moving on to bring joy to your financial planning. Of course, this doesn't mean you can exactly sit back and wait for the money to come pouring in but it does suggest that the energy you have already expended in increasing your financial standing will start to pay off, and that organizations and partners will be more generous over the coming months. On the weekend Venus and Pluto come together in the area of distant objectives, encouraging you to take a large leap of faith and to see a current romantic dilemma in a more realistic perspective.
Look further than the end of your nose.
31st October 2005 - 6th November 2005 Forget about achieving your objectives simply and quickly - a dose of Saturn helped down by unpredictable Uranus indicates that you must look before you leap and be prepared to be very patient indeed. The areas under Saturn are creativity and finances while those in Uranus's sights are collaborations and long distance matters, thus an offspring (or business enterprise) could drain your emotional or financial resources and journeys or people far away may be the source of considerable surprise. This is not to say that the end result of any temporary drama will fail to please - it's just that may not enjoy the experience at the time.
Take your time.
7th November 2005 - 13th November 2005 Fight your speedy instincts this week, and follow the way of the tortoise. Slow. With the sun in the obscure eighth house angling slippery Neptune, it will only take a moment's lack of focus to produce a lifetime of problems. Finances are a particular hazard, especially if you are signing long-term contracts or agreeing to share your assets - monetary and otherwise. It is possible that this grand alignment will produce a miracle in a much needed area of your life, but just to be on the safe side, read all the small print, get a second and third opinion, and don't accept a promise unless it is legally binding.
Slippery business.
14th November 2005 - 20th November 2005 The speedy Ram may well come to something of an abrupt halt this week. Not only Mercury retrograde but also Mars in reverse thrust indicates a change of tempo and possibly a hiccup with a financial matter. Do your best to retain your good humour and assume that a delay serves a useful purpose - any problem currently arising will have a solution. There may be a behind-the-scenes element at work here, whether this means someone is playing a double-game with you or that a piece of information has gone missing. These things are sent to try us...
A pit stop.
21st November 2005 - 27th November 2005 We are in a short season of Uranian revelations, so while there is always a chance that someone will surprise you in the most delightful of ways if anything is hanging on by a thin thread treat it very, very carefully. You may be asked to take an unexpected journey or news from abroad could put a whole different perspective on a business or romantic association. However, with Saturn turning retrograde on the 22nd you will need to be more than usually aware of the consequences of putting your signature on a piece of paper or realizing that a promise you have made cannot be fulfilled. Don't cut corners and play by the rules.
No taking chances.
28th November 2005 - 4th December 2005 Arians do not as a rule enjoy a mystery: you have no time for subterfuge preferring to accomplish your tasks with speed. However, the past few weeks have been anything but straightforward with the result that this week's Uranian content could throw a surprising light on one or more situations. You may even have cause to comment that your trust in certain people has yet again proved misplaced. On the plus side, you could receive an invitation to an important gathering later on in the year or you may have an opportunity to make an unexpected trip. One thing is for sure, in this climate making predictions is best left to the professionals!
Surprise, surprise!
5th December 2005 - 11th December 2005 Mars, your ruler, has been somewhat sluggish and inhibited of late but this is about to change: a new lease of life is on its way - and this could be most apparent in regard to finances. It may be that you will shortly receive a very attractive offer or that a sale, perhaps of a property, will add to your net worth. Nonetheless I feel duty bound to remind the generous Aries Ram that with your less than perfect record of financial stability this might be a point in your life when you could right the monetary wrongs of the past and save rather than spend your hard-earned pennies. And if money isn't the source of a boost this December, it may instead be your heart...
Adding to your stock.
12th December 2005 - 18th December 2005 Courageous warrior you may be, but sometimes there's a lot to be said for keeping out of the line of fire, and I'm going to urge you to do just that this week. Do not wade in on behalf of other people because their problems could backfire on you. Nor should you assume that because you have triumphed over an adversary once before you can do so again. While this Plutonic astro-scape may preside over the successful application for a job, the happy conclusion to a negotiation or a journey that will transform your life, a false step could lead to the breaking of a long-term bond and the re-shaping of your horizons in less than welcome ways.
Be circumspect.
19th December 2005 - 25th December 2005 Christmas week begins on a sparkling note - or is that a controversial one? Much depends on your actions and responses. If an arrangement must change at the last minute, remain gracious and leave the drama to the acting profession. On the other hand should an unexpected invitation appear, seize the opportunity to do something entirely different. Between the 19th and 22nd Uranus is in the ascendant which increases the chances of silly mistakes and snap judgments. Thus, on the road of life defensive driving is the best way to go. As for the Christmas weekend - partners and other people will be falling over themselves to make you happy.
A spicy cocktail.
26th December 2005 - 1st January 2006 The Christmas spirit could be in danger of disappearing all too quickly this year, so might I recommend putting a smiling face on a minor disagreement? Ruler, Mars, and Saturn are at odds on mid-week stretching your patience and putting your diplomatic skills to the test. It could also be that you have run yourself into the ground preparing for the festivities and are now experiencing somewhat of a dip in optimism and energy levels. Mercury and Pluto welcome in the New Year, providing you with both an opportunity to discover new territory and to kick a piece of your past into the dustbin of history.
Endings and beginnings indeed.
2nd January 2006 - 8th January 2006 Mercury, planet of ideas and movement, arrives at the top of your solar chart on Tuesday, adding to the already powerful theme of getting ahead. January and February are going to be premium months when it comes to career progress and launching major objectives, and this week's focus is on making contact and opening discussions. Arians rarely need encouragement to get to the starting post but you have suffered some set-backs in the latter part of 2005 and must not allow a new found caution to completely paralyse you. Yes, you need to be more realistic in your expectations and arm yourself with facts as opposed to high hopes but this you can do.
On your marks!
9th January 2006 - 15th January 2006 At last you're back in the swing of things, possibly making some serious progress, especially on the professional front. A series of delightful links to planets in the zone of life-direction could unlock a door and it should certainly give you back your confidence and determination. Saturday's full moon is one of two this year (the other presenting itself in July) that will end chapters on the work or home front, so do not be surprised if you suddenly feel like moving house and making big domestic changes or seeking a more stimulating and appreciative audience for your talents. I'd even go as far as to say this is a week when luck is not just a four-letter word.
Think lucky and you'll be lucky.
16th January 2006 - 22nd January 2006 Finances are at a particularly precarious stage. While energetic Mars may be urging you to make more money and put your efforts into building up your empire, there could be large bills to pay and money disappearing rapidly out of your account. Neptune now puts extra pressure on your resources so you need to be very careful about the financial moves you make. Agreements should be checked and double-checked by those who have your best interests at heart, and if you are in any doubt whatsoever about the wisdom of an investment or a purchase, you should hold back. And this same advice could apply to a professional or personal relationship too.
Slippery business.
23rd January 2006 - 29th January 2006 There's a slight danger of your taking yourself too seriously now. While you should be confident about your abilities and concerned that others treat you with the respect that you deserve, you can obtain the praise, recognition and reassurance that you seek without being heavy handed about it. Saturn is centre stage this week, so life is far from light and frothy, nonetheless you can achieve much in this climate both in the sense of reaching a personal or professional target and by assuming a responsibility that others might be all too keen to avoid. On the other hand, should you experience a set-back, be assured your term of trial is only temporary.
Be light and positive.
30th January 2006 - 5th February 2006 It looks to be a case of ideals and hopes versus reality this week. Neptune is shining his magical light over your affairs, particularly those that involve others. Humanitarian and altruistic intentions are, of course, laudable but they should not be allowed to jeopardize an endeavour; likewise, you cannot put your best interests at risk just because you want to remain loyal to a person or an organization. You may not be thinking too clearly at the moment so rather than make a mistake that will cost you dearly in the future, why not seek out some professional, or at least unbiased, advice. There is a place for love and loyalty but it's not where your finances and your heart could be at risk.
Get a second opinion.
6th February 2006 - 12th February 2006 Divine inspiration strikes occasionally but most often under Neptune. It seems a solution to a problem will manifest overnight or you will suddenly find a sense of acceptance and peace with it. Normally the Aries Ram is in too much of a hurry to waste time on contemplation and usually far too driven to empathize with someone else's lack of courage but you may well be deeply touched by a friend's situation now and prepared to put your plans on hold in order to support him or her. If I do have a word of caution to utter it is related to the possibility that in your mercy dash you could forget an urgent matter of your own or make an unnecessary and costly mistake.
Keep your focus.
13th February 2006 - 19th February 2006 It seems that a matter unknown to you has been proceeding with some speed, and it may well come to light on the 14th. Now, this could mean that someone for whom you have no feelings or someone to whom you have not revealed yours is ready to declare himself/herself; on the other hand, it could be another matter altogether that suddenly comes to your attention on Tuesday. Just how pleased you will be about the new status quo rather depends, but since you do not always know yourself very well, at the very least this mid-February period enables you to gain considerable insight into what or who really matters to you.
Open your eyes.
20th February 2006 - 26th February 2006 Everything looks to be coming up roses. Or maybe you cannot yet see just who is on your side and what great plans there are for you. With the sun in the underground area of your horoscope there is much taking place behind the scenes, whether someone is putting together a special event with you in mind or whether people have noticed your talents and your charms and are considering making you an offer you simply cannot refuse. One thing you may notice this week is that a money matter comes together just as you hoped or that an investment or purchase turns out to be a brilliant move. Enjoy this period of plenty.
A turn for the better.
27th February 2006 - 5th March 2006 As one of the most upfront and dynamic signs of the zodiac you could be forgiven for feeling somewhat dazed about your current circumstances. Situations that have been going on behind your back could suddenly be revealed, and although there is a chance that you will be delighted with the results Pluto and Uranus are more likely to pull the rug out from beneath your feet. Whether finances, a romance or your job are the focus for all that is mysterious, in a few short weeks not only will your energy, focus and optimism be back but you will begin to see that current events have done you more favours than disfavours.
Do not rush to judgement.
6th March 2006 - 12th March 2006 Throughout the week ruler Mars is squaring up to unpredictable Uranus so if I have one piece of advice to give you it is to go softly, softly. This is not the time to allow your temper to dictate your actions nor is it the week to make an impulsive move without a safety device in place. Especially when you're on the move or in dialogue think twice before you offer up information and don't threaten to leave an individual or an organization unless you truly mean it. Nonetheless, there are some balancing factors in the astrology that point to a break through in a dead-locked situation and a positive answer to a long-standing question.
Look before you leap.
13th March 2006 - 19th March 2006 Continue a softly-softly policy and you won't go wrong this week: fight fire with fire, and you'll be the one to be singed! Wednesday's lunar eclipse exposes your weakest points, whether you come to see that you have overstepped your physical, financial or professional limits or that you have deeply misinterpreted a situation. In a few short days the sun will enter your sign, giving you the clarity and vitality you need with which to tackle anyone and anything but for now, do yourself a favour, and take a back seat and a very laid back approach.
Keep a low profile.
20th March 2006 - 26th March 2006 The sun returns to your sign on the 20th sending those warm, bright rays into your life and giving you the energy and confidence to climb mountains of any description. Certainly, these past few weeks have been confusing to say the least and no doubt draining on your reserves. Now you can settle a matter that has been hanging in mid-air and should you need to impress the powers that be - or even a certain someone - you have the substance and the savvy to bowl them over. The weekend is the perfect moment for a romantic date or to put your name and your money to a major endeavour. All right, life isn't perfect but it's a vast improvement on what has gone before.
Picking up the pieces.
27th March 2006 - 2nd April 2006 As the zodiac's pioneer new moons in your sign are always to be welcomed since they portend the new and the different, but when that new moon is eclipsed the prospects are twice as exciting. In the near future, especially if it is your birthday on the 28th, 29th or 30th, you can expect an out of the blue event that will change your fortunes and certainly your direction. And whenever your birthday, it is now appropriate to evaluate where you are in your life, and should you be as far away as ever from a much desired goal, to establish what needs to be done - no matter how radical - to set you on the right trajectory.
Signs of change.
3rd April 2006 - 9th April 2006 Are you polishing up your armour, sharpening your steel? I hope so because you are likely to need your arsenal of weapons this week, at least in the form of your communication skills and negotiation techniques. Ruler, Mars, is opposed to Pluto indicating an obstacle in your path. Now, this may translate as a delay while travelling or a hitch with a legal or bureaucratic matter. But whatever hinders your progress and bursts your balloon, do your best not to retaliate in kind. There will be a way around a difficulty or a disappointment, and a consolation prize will appear, although you may have to be patient for a while.
Develop a strategy.
10th April 2006 - 16th April 2006 With Mercury's arrival in your sign clarity returns, but in this still stormy cosmos any major understandings may come about through an event that temporarily freezes you in your tracks. Indeed, this may be the entire purpose of these alignments - to get you to pause before you commit yourself to a path that may ultimately be in your worst interests. Add to the mix a full moon on the relationship axis, and this is one week when you can lose a friend, even a partner, through an emotional outburst or some other kind of inadvised action. Tread carefully, Aries - how much better it is to be wise before the event rather than afterwards.
One step at a time.
17th April 2006 - 23rd April 2006 Making your point is the theme of the week, whether this implies you will be informing people exactly where you stand and how far you're prepared to go to achieve your ends or whether you air your ideas in the hopes of gaining approval and support. This is not the time to let your impatience show nor to go into meetings or discussions without facts and figures but it is the moment to reveal your talent to lead and to open up new territory to others. You may also discover that someone has feelings for you that have been concealed - and perhaps for the time being you should keep your options open. Act in haste, repent in leisure...
A revealing week.
24th April 2006 - 30th April 2006 If Saturn and Pluto were the weather, the skies would be grey with periodic bouts of heavy rain, so as you head out into the working week please wear your diplomatic boots and carry a protective umbrella. This is not the time to let your frustration get the better of you, nor to allow a temporary hitch to assume jumbo proportions. Finances require the most care at the moment, so if you've been avoiding a problem with the bank or the tax man, make your pitch for clemency first thing Monday. The weekend's passionate influences could preside over the beginning of a beautiful new friendship or re-ignite a moribund sex-life.
Feast or famine.
1st May 2006 - 7th May 2006 At last! Some planetary cheer to put the smile back on your face and restore your spirit. For starters, on the 3rd, Venus arrives in your sign with the intention of bringing a lot more love and pleasure into life; you should also find that your invitations receive a warm response, whether you are seeking success career-wise or in regard to personal and romantic desires. Jupiter adds to the happiness principle by producing some excellent news of a financial nature, or at least providing you with opportunities to spend your money or invest in the future. And should you have been waiting for the perfect moment to make a pitch of any description, opt for the 4th or 5th.
Happy days.
8th May 2006 - 14th May 2006 When confusion reigns Aries warriors must put away their firearms and exit the fast lane of life. Technically speaking, it is finances that look to be the battleground of the week, and if you do nothing else, please on Monday morning make yourself aware of the real state of your bank account. It is possible that an amount you were expecting has not materialized or that someone is being less than honest with you over a money matter thus you will need to take avoiding action. This is also not the week to throw your money around or to make a financial commitment that does not give you a get-out clause or a safety net.
Be wise before the event, not after it.
15th May 2006 - 21st May 2006 If you're dealing with a backlog of any description prepare to be very patient this week: people may prove difficult to reach and some information could have been lost leading to endless queries and delays. Should this trend apply to a personal matter you are better leaving well alone, because the more you try to resolve the situation the more chaos you'll generate. However, should you be trying to sort out a financial or job-related matter, press on regardless. By the 19th Mercury's arrival in the communication's centre of your solar chart will bring logic out of lunacy; it may also widen your horizons in the most positive of ways.
Lost in translation.
22nd May 2006 - 28th May 2006 One phrase could sum up this week's stars - happy accidents. It seems that a slip of the tongue or a minor error could turn out to be a serious plus. Also, despite anxieties over a forthcoming event or some doubts about the viability of an enterprise all will turn out well in the end. Venus makes a divine connection to Pluto in the zone of far horizons, ensuring that an endeavour close to your heart is blessed with longevity and success; you may also find love en route to a distant place or with someone from a different background. And if you've been wondering when to approach an individual or an organization, now would be the moment.
The right time, the right place.
29th May 2006 - 4th June 2006 You appear to have some serious thinking to do and these deep and meaningful alignments are more than up to the job. Whatever you decide will put in motion a chain of events that will change you at a fundamental level and set in place a pattern that will last some years. Does all this sound a mite too sombre? Well, this week's thought-provoking stars accompany you on journeys of the terrestrial kind too, opening your eyes to new places and tempting you to put down roots far from home; also, any meetings of a social or business nature are likely to lead to long-term agreements, and will certainly provide you with a new outlook on an old situation.
A far-reaching week.
5th June 2006 - 11th June 2006 Do your best not to leap to conclusions now, whether your hopes are suddenly raised or you hear news that sends you into a tail-spin. The chances are that you will only have some of the story and the part that is missing is key. Be especially careful about biting off more than you can chew in financial terms: while you may be tempted to make a large purchase or sign an agreement that is within your means now, a little further down the line you could have reason to wish that you had allowed yourself some wiggle room. Nonetheless, if you have proof positive that you and your gifts are loved and valued, go get the champagne.
Cautious optimism.
12th June 2006 - 18th June 2006 Ever the fearless leader, Aries needs to look before it leaps this week. The heavy mob, in the form of aspects to Saturn and Pluto, will not be taking prisoners, so you need to be particularly careful upon whose toes you tread, whether through any shoot-from-the-hip statements or impulsive actions. On the plus side, this is a good time to sign a long-term contract or to travel a considerable distance for a worthy objective, and any decisions that have been well considered and work on which you have laboured long and hard should reap rich rewards. Spare a thought too for those who may not have the courage and fortitude that you do - a little kindness goes a long way.
Watch your step.
19th June 2006 - 25th June 2006 You're about to discover whether Jupiter - the bringer of joy - or Saturn - the bringer of chickens home to roost - will prevail, and much depends on how many corners you have cut recently and just how well you have thought out your plans, especially those of a financial or entrepreneurial nature. In many ways this is a first rate period for starting new ventures and receiving payment for your efforts; it is also a terrific week for property sales and purchases, however, if you have overextended yourself at the bank or raised your expectations of an association or endeavour too high, you're about to given a sharp rap on the knuckles.
Just deserts.
26th June 2006 - 2nd July 2006 As June goes out you may have cause to look back on the month and count your blessings. And this is certainly the message of the astrology as the sun harmoniously links to beneficent Jupiter on the 30th. Yet for some Arians this week also contains a development of some note, and probably one with financial or domestic overtones. The monetary zone of your horoscope is under magnanimous influences, which may just support your intentions to enjoy a bout of retail therapy or it could produce a windfall or promised increase. Plus, with Mercury about to turn retrograde you should now tie up any financial or job-related loose ends.
Good fortune.
3rd July 2006 - 9th July 2006 You'll make greater progress by going back over old ground, and certainly by taking your time. Ruler Mars opposes weird and wonderful Neptune leading to flights of fancy and some deeply mysterious developments. There is much to be said for taking a break from your usual routine and simply enjoying the slower tempo to life, but if you have a busy schedule, at least check everything and everyone is in place before you head out the door. Also, where finances are concerned, a matter that you believed to be done and dusted could be back on the table, and a mistake made some months ago may now come to light.
Extreme strangeness.
10th July 2006 - 16th July 2006 Full moons can be very useful, especially when they fall in the area of ambitions and life-direction: they enable you to see where your energies need no longer be focused and where you have earned success and the respect of others - something to bear in mind under Tuesday's full moon. You are a naturally ambitious and self-motivated individual so it may be something of an anxious moment waiting for others judge your performance. And whether you receive the thumbs up or thumbs down for your efforts this week it seems another route for your talents is opening up, and it may well have an overseas or long-term flavour to it.
Judgement Day!
17th July 2006 - 23rd July 2006 Revisiting the past is not Aries' favourite practice - you are at your best striding into the future, unprepared except for your courage and resourcefulness - however, the moment has come to take a second look at an issue you dismissed some time ago. The chances are this matter is of a domestic nature, and especially if you are house-hunting you may discover that a property you lost or rejected is now back on the market. And in general this is a week in which history can throw considerable light on present circumstances. On the 19th, Venus reaches the base of your chart, ready to breed more harmony into life, love and the family circle.
Going back.
24th July 2006 - 30th July 2006 All Arians enjoy a fresh start and an opportunity to express their pioneering spirit, and this you can do in style now. Tuesday's new moon in your fellow fire sign, Leo, is a portent of pleasures to come: it may also signal the birth of a creative endeavour. You've needed a boost for a while, and under these stars good things happen - and certainly rewards for your labours. Venus and Jupiter add to the happiness factor by channelling their combined benevolence into financial matters, making this a perfect week to invest in your home and family - or to accept the generosity and kindness of others.
Adding to your bank of happiness.
31st July 2006 - 6th August 2006 Two weeks in a row and life is good. And, if it's not, what is it that you're failing to see? The onus is fairly and squarely on you to get projects close to your heart moving, and with your vitality and sense of fun you can inject enthusiasm into events of both a sociable or working kind. All right, with Jupiter urging you to go into overdrive and overdraft, you may need to keep your spending habits under control but in every other way the more you give out the more you receive. Wednesday is the day with the most to offer in the way of opportunity and growth so if you've been wondering when to make an approach, the 2nd's your D-Day.
Carpe Diem.
7th August 2006 - 13th August 2006 You may be one of the more freedom-oriented and pioneering signs of the zodiac but even you can come to appreciate the value of boundaries - a sentiment echoing long and loud through the astrology this week. On the plus side, a business or romantic association can be placed on a solid footing, and a plan could receive the go-ahead but, on the down side, an endeavour that was beyond your abilities or a relationship that had built-in weaknesses may collapse at the seams. Be prepared for some opposition but be adaptable and gracious in all your dealings - that way you will emerge from situations smelling like a rose, and a change of heart could follow.
Bend like a reed in the river.
14th August 2006 - 20th August 2006 Although the pleasure principle is alive and well in your stars, you could spare a thought for your mainstream ambitions. There is much that can be done this week to speed your course, especially regarding a professional matter, and if you have a care about your future security and stability now would be the moment to put together a long-term strategy. People in high places should look favourably on your talents and your requests so be sure to put a business call before a social one. Also, should you not be receiving the stimulation or appreciation you believe you deserve, don't be afraid to cast your net much further afield.
The world's your oyster.
21st August 2006 - 27th August 2006 The world may seem to be a strange twilight place to you at the moment: previously solid ground is giving way, and without any prior indication that things were in a fragile state, yet, on the other hand, something you believed had no life left in it is beginning to show signs of a heartbeat. Since you are a forceful and resourceful sign, the better policy would be to tread very carefully now, especially with a relationship. Until the latter part of September you must be prepared to beaver away in the background, paying great attention to detail, and tying up all loose ends. It is too soon to consign a situation to the dustbin of history and to early to open the champagne.
Feel your way very carefully.
28th August 2006 - 3rd September 2006 The best thing to be said about this week's astro-scape is that it gives you the power to move a mountain, yet you might sustain a bruise - if only to your ego - in the process. Thus, before you launch into open water with a brave idea or a shoot-from-the-hip remark, make sure that you have done all your homework and have a remedy in the form of a plan B in your first-aid kit. All the senior planets are centre stage, which means past errors have to be accounted for and people upon whose toes you may have trodden could
now exact their revenge. And, by contrast, past good deeds and hard work could be rewarded in the most surprising of ways.
The law of cause and effect.
4th September 2006 - 10th September 2006 Any feelings of lassitude should be swept away by the hurricane force of this week's alignments. While Thursday's lunar eclipse concerns itself with work, and, more specifically, revealing where your talents and energies might be more usefully employed, on Friday, warrior Mars arrives in the seventh house of partnership all set to spice up a lacklustre love life and expose an opponent or two. You are well overdue for some changes on the romantic and professional front, so use these liberating opportunities to escape from a situation that is going nowhere. However, in the process, do your best to avoid a no holds barred confrontation.
The fight or flee syndrome.
11th September 2006 - 17th September 2006 Now, what red-blooded Aries doesn't like a dose of excitement - or can you have too much of a good thing? Uranus and Pluto always carry a safety-warning, and, although you can achieve a stunning victory now, you will have to be careful not to shoot yourself in the foot in the process. The main danger is that you will believe you can handle any challenge, which, at first, you might, yet further down the line all the disadvantages will appear, and to your cost. This is a time to be honest and realistic, courageous but not over-ambitious. Look way beneath the surface of situations, assume certain people have hidden agendas and don't issue a promise lightly.
Be very cautious.
18th September 2006 - 24th September 2006 With the sun's entry into Libra you too seem to be re-gaining your balance. In fact, over the course of the next few weeks you may find that those things that have been unsettling you will right themselves, and people you need, whether for personal or professional support, emerge in force. Nevertheless, a solar eclipse is taking place on the 22nd, so there is still a sense that something must end before the new can take root, and, especially where your job or a working relationship is concerned, it may not be possible for things to stay the same. With this in mind, be gracious and adaptable should someone have a complaint or wish to alter something already set in stone.
A new leaf.
25th September 2006 - 1st October 2006 This is an ideal moment to take stock of the clutter in your life, and mount a clear-out operation. You can do this is in a purely practical way by stripping your wardrobe of outdated, unworn garments or, more specifically, by examining what habits and patterns are getting in the way of your progress, and, possibly, by distancing yourself from people who are draining your energies or, worse, bringing you down. On the other hand, you could just stand back and wait and see what the cosmos has in mind for improving your quality of life... September may have left much to be desired in the way of fun times and positive developments, but you'll find October a whole other story.
Sweeping the decks.
2nd October 2006 - 8th October 2006 Full moons can exacerbate problems but when they are in your own sign, as is the case on Saturday, they empower and enlighten you instead. With this in mind, you may now be able to make a decision you have been toying with for some time, and the chances are it revolves around a relationship. Some Arians will be ready to commit themselves to a long-term union - in fact engagements and marriages are a perfect expression of these influences - yet, if you have been experiencing difficulties in a professional or marital relationship this would be an ideal moment to go your separate ways, provided, of course, every avenue of resolution has been explored.
Finding completion.
9th October 2006 - 15th October 2006 Are you in the mood to be romanced? I hope so, because with the sun and Venus in the area of relationships divinely connected to Neptune, your world should be full of love and promise. If you have chosen this week to marry or to escape from the rat race with your loved one, you could not have found a better moment, and, should you have been at war with a partner, peace moves made under these stars will perform a miracle. And, even if romance is the last thing on your mind, other people will be looking favourably upon you, which means your chances of success have increased fourfold. Come on, Aries, don't be cynical - good things can happen to you!
Melting moments.
16th October 2006 - 22nd October 2006 The bliss goes on - at least in theory - and should your love life be limping along, and tensions are apparent in working and family relationships, there are real opportunities to set those wrongs to rights. Maybe you're a little too proud or preoccupied to notice? At best, this week could play host to some of the most positive developments of the year, most probably brought about by an individual or an organization who believes you are the best thing since sliced bread; and at the very least, you will gain pleasure and reassurance from being with people you love and value. You're a generous soul, Aries; it's payback time.
Being loved.
23rd October 2006 - 29th October 2006 Hold your horses, Aries. With Saturn dogging your tracks and communications chief, Mercury, turning retrograde on the 28th, you're not in possession of all the facts and a hasty action is likely to generate problems not solutions. Money matters require particular caution, especially where a large outlay is concerned or any kind of legal agreement. Also, a rough estimate of the state of your bank account is not enough to base your financial decisions upon: it's the figures that count. By contrast, a business plan or an endeavour that has taken some time to put together could receive the green light.
Do your homework.
30th October 2006 - 5th November 2006
Put your thinking cap on. Good decisions can be made now but they cannot be formed in a flash of exuberance or from a pit of gloom: facts and figures speak. This is an especially favourable time for attacking financial matters, whether you wise up to the fact that money is unnecessarily disappearing out of your account, or because new agreements can be forged and moneys come to you unexpectedly. What you may need to avoid, however, is making an expensive purchase or large investment that you believe will gain in value over time: the chances are that it will cause more regrets than riches. And we could be talking about other kinds of commitments here too.
Be prudent.
6th November 2006 - 12th November 2006 If this week$s astrology were the countryside, we$d be on boggy ground and, without due care and attention, liable to sink. And since the area of your chart in question is finances, this is not the time to blithely put your name to a contract or to make a financial move without considerable forethought and research. While I do not wish to dampen your enthusiasm nor prevent you from pursuing a course that has given you no cause for concern, do not expect to get an overwhelming seal of approval for your efforts at this time. Far better to beaver away in the background, attending to the finer details and tying up all those loose ends.
Pause for thought.
13th November 2006 - 19th November 2006 You could say this week's astro-scape represents a colourful tapestry of life, or you could call it what it truly is: a period in which everything but the kitchen sink gets thrown at you. There's Saturn on one side cautioning you to remember the principle of cause and effect, Jupiter on another urging you to look on the bright side and for good measure Neptune and Uranus adding a touch of the weird, the wonderful and the surprising. Once again it is the area of finances that has the most to gain or lose from these influences, with some Arians cracking a lucrative deal and others being forced to dig deep into their reserves to resolve a cash-flow problem.
Payback time.
20th November 2006 - 26th November 2006 Hip-hip-hooray! Planet Jupiter enters your ninth house of far horizons insisting that you kick over the traces of failure and disappointment and hitch your wagon to a whole new set of possibilities. To begin with it will be the March Rams who get a taste of expanding frontiers, but eventually all will have an opportunity to broaden their life in some way. This week may produce an offer that involves travel or is associated with people who live or work outside your usual territory, or you may simply experience an irresistible impulse to get away from home turf. Certainly, patterns can be broken under these stars, although in some cases in a hail of controversy.
Sally forth!
27th November 2006 - 3rd December 2006 The senior planets are not being entirely helpful this week but at least they are focused on an area of life where difficulties can be transcended, and certainly utilized. It seems a change of direction is necessary, whether this implies that your travel arrangements need to be altered or a professional or personal endeavour must be rethought. Try not to feel as though someone is deliberately standing in your way or being overly pernickety; sometimes Aries is in too much of a hurry to see the flaws and potential hazards in a situation and any current impasse could be more a case of having come too far too soon.
Reaching a stop sign.
4th December 2006 - 10th December 2006 After the hard work, come the rewards. At least, that's one way of interpreting this astro-scape; another is that after some initial hurdles early in the week you reach your target by the weekend. The ninth house of travel and long-range plans is the setting for all the action, so, if you're taking a journey, don't leave things until the last moment, and be sure to have all the information you require. And should there be important meetings and discussions on the agenda, be prepared for some opposition to begin with. A long-distance relationship could be at make or break point, all the more reason to think through the consequences of your actions before you make them.
Strategy, strategy...
11th December 2006 - 17th December 2006 The Christmas spirit is already here in the form of a jubilant Mars-Jupiter conjunction. The possibilities are endless but among them good news from abroad, the prospect of a journey and the exchange of happy thoughts and plans for the future. And with Venus arriving in the zone of career and ambitions your chart is a blaze of green lights for both personal and professional reasons. Plus, should you have experienced a disappointment during the last few weeks or allowed your confidence to plummet this is the moment to dust yourself off, put on your glad rags and go strut your stuff. Aries always lives to fight another day.
Fighting talk.
18th December 2006 - 24th December 2006 It's time for the big heave-ho! On the one hand, the climate is perfect for getting rid of clutter in preparation for Christmas and, on the other, events could conspire to end a pattern of life that has been in play for some years thus encouraging you to head off in new directions. And speaking of heading off... Travel and people in distant places are in the mainframe so if you're planning to board a plane to foreign parts or welcome visitors from afar, you're clearly in synch with your stars. Just one word of warning, with Pluto and Uranus in fighting form, do your best to temper your enthusiasm or your ire with compassion and forethought.
Cleaning house.
25th December 2006 - 31st December 2006 Christmases that come with a Mercury-Pluto conjunction are meant to be taken seriously. So, even if you are surrounded by pretty lights and loving company at some point you can expect the conversation to turn deep and meaningful. It could be that someone from abroad has news that profoundly affects you or that an incident in the past comes back into everyone's mind, but as the week goes by you will feel lighter and brighter, and ready to move toward those new horizons that have been beckoning since December began. As for New Year's Eve, you're in sentimental mode and an absolute pushover when it comes to sad songs and searing exchanges.
Memories and meaningful melodies.
1st January 2007 - 7th January 2007 A bright start to a week and a brilliant opener to 2007. Always a sign that believes in kicking over the traces of the past and heading bravely into the unknown, Wednesday's full moon on the axis of life-direction symbolizes the end of an era. Some Arians will be considering moving home while others will be taking a long hard look at their job and wondering whether it has the capacity to take them where they want to go - the very top. And there could be other reasons why you sense a part of your past has disappeared or will do so in the near future. Whether or not you are travelling this week, you are beginning a long journey.
Moving on.
15th January 2007 - 21st January 2007 Your warrior-like nature owes much to your ruler, Mars, and with this planet arriving at the zenith of your horoscope (16th) things of a career nature are about to become very hot indeed. Between now and the end of February, you will need to be on your best behaviour with organizations that you work for or people who have the power to make or break you; by contrast with energy, focus, courage and determination you can achieve promotion and certainly steam ahead with your ambitions. This Wednesday be on the alert for subtle signs of interest or warning shots across your bows, and if you want to make a winning move seize the moment.
Carpe diem.
8th January 2007 - 14th January 2007 You come up against the first rut in the road of the year, so from the outset go cautiously about your business and keep your true feelings to yourself - regardless of the provocation. While you may encounter some delays or difficulties on journeys you are more likely to meet with any opposition when it comes to the exchange of ideas and information. Should someone not agree with you or appear to be less than enchanted with your performance, use the criticism constructively and endeavour to find a mutually satisfactory solution. There really is no need to cut and run or resort to firearms.
Be cool and constructive.
5th February 2007 - 11th February 2007 Excitement is one thing, total chaos quite another, as you will surely discover should you attempt one of those impulse moves this week. Uranus is pressing all your buttons, thus making you less able to tolerate frustration and far more likely to leap into the breach, despite your ignorance of what lies on the other side. There is a reason for any delay and a purpose behind any refusal so do your best to bear your burdens with grace and good humour. And should you be successful in an endeavour now, avoid crowing about it because other people may not share your joy, and sometimes, as the saying goes, there's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip!
Keeping a firm course.
12th February 2007 - 18th February 2007 Aries is the least patient sign of the zodiac but if you force an issue now or reveal your frustration you will surely push that much desired happy ending ever further away. People may love you and admire your talents but it may not be possible to give you an answer at this point in the year, so whether a professional matter requires more time or a personal situation has to be put on hold, you will only gain by being gracious and tolerant. Saturday's events should soon have you smiling again, and you may be surprised at the good things that come out of social occasions or meetings with like-minded individuals.
Time will tell.
19th February 2007 - 25th February 2007 Show me an Aries who doesn't thrive on passion and I'll reveal someone who has been crushed into submission by more than one disastrous love affair. So, if you have been slipping down a spiral of cynicism and bitterness, may I suggest you find your conquering spirit and get back in the land of the loving! Beautiful Venus enters your sign on the 21st and until late March will be bringing extra stores of love into your life, whether you meet someone who sets your senses nicely on fire or because there will be ways and means to reignite the embers of a once hot and steamy relationship. Come on, Aries; where's your va va voom?
Getting back in the saddle.
26th February 2007 - 4th March 2007 You'll need your radar switched on at all times this week since it will be easy to miss a signal. The sun's passage through the obscure twelfth house is already making you a little fuzzy at the edges so you need absolute focus in order to make the most of an opportunity or extricate yourself from a potential hazard. Under no circumstances tell a little white lie or make a move that you would prefer to keep secret: even if there are no immediate consequences to your actions, there will be in the future. There is nothing to be gained in rushing your fences and nothing to be lost by asking to mull things over for a little while longer.
Blurred vision.
5th March 2007 - 11th March 2007 Even if the start to the week proves to be a little rocky and you feel less than your perky best by the weekend you will be in good spirits and some Arians will be ready for a serious celebration. Venus in your sign forms a perfect alignment with Jupiter and Saturn, in some cases marking the high point for a love affair and encouraging you to make a long-term commitment and in other cases there will be evidence that an endeavour has legs, so to speak. March is a volatile month so while there are still obstacles to overcome this is a period in which you can cover a great deal of ground, provided you are neither reckless nor inconsiderate of others.
Making tracks.
12th March 2007 - 18th March 2007 This is a strange period for the Aries warrior: you may sense you are on the brink of something good yet there is no real proof. Conversely you may have a feeling that all is not well in some corner of your world yet to all intents and purposes everything looks fine. These sensations have much to do with the sun's closeted position in the occluded twelfth house and its imminent connection to mighty Pluto, which will indeed reveal what is currently hidden. Unless you know for sure that a financial problem is looming large or that you are ignoring a bureaucratic matter - even a health issue - maintain a low profile.
Poised for action.
19th March 2007 - 25th March 2007 On the 21st after a year travelling through the zodiac the sun proudly arrives in your sign. Sanity returns, energy is regained and a renewed determination to succeed where previously you have failed. And, last but not least, you are at the beginning of a period when fun springs to the top of the must-do list. Not that you may notice all this immediately. Ruler, Mars is held in check by Saturn urging you to display restraint when dealing with bureaucracy and people whose love and support you may need: what is currently causing frustration or what appears to be a super-sized problem will be resolved - and all the quicker if you combine common sense with composure.
It's part of life, not all of it.
26th March 2007 - 1st April 2007 If last week brought a reckoning or two, now you can review recent events in a more positive light and put some new policies into action. As you may know, Aries is the action hero of the zodiac but you may find that cutting back on activities and consolidating your resources is the better approach for the moment. Over the weekend a series of connections to unpredictable Uranus could prove to be another eye-opener, whether in the sense of giving you some fresh ideas to work with or enlightenment where a relationship or some other situation is concerned.
Awareness is all.
2nd April 2007 - 8th April 2007 Muddles easily happen under these stars. Therefore, fight all your feisty instincts and wait until you know the precise nature of what you are dealing with before you leap into the fray. Your self-worth appears to be under threat, whether you are in danger of making an unwise financial move, leaving something you value unprotected or because you have not understood the true state of a working or intimate relationship. With care you can use these finely balanced influences to secure an even stronger position for yourself and a hope can become a solid reality but by rushing to judgement you could lose a lot more than your bus-fare home.
Things must add up.
9th April 2007 - 15th April 2007 Actions taken and information received could make a big difference to life as you know it. And since Jupiter is in your corner, even a difficulty can be transcended. But let's not talk of difficulties but of success. With the area of far horizons centre stage this week many Arians will be preoccupied with plans to travel, or actually on their way, while others will be talking to people at a distance with a view to meeting for business or pleasure at a later date. This is an ideal week in which to draw up big plans for the future, whether they have been in your mind for some while or precipitated by unexpected events.
Sally forth!
16th April 2007 - 22nd April 2007 How great is it to be alive and enjoying these breezy influences? Aries likes nothing better than to be starting something fresh and Tuesday's new moon gives you just that opportunity. It appears you are at last over a loss of some description and back in the saddle, ready to charge off in new directions. In some cases, especially those of you with birthdays this week, that new direction involves foreign parts and people/organizations in distant places but in the main these expansive aspects help you see your life in a larger context so that what may have seemed such a big issue some weeks, even months, ago is
but a drop in the ocean.
A fresh start.
23rd April 2007 - 29th April 2007 Aries tends to move at speed, mind focused on the road ahead, but you'll need eyes in the back of your head this week. Something you have forgotten or someone you had overlooked could be about to trip you up but provided you take life a little slower and go through your bills and commitments you'll no doubt end the week a winner. It is also possible that a good deed done some time ago is rewarded or a project begun in the past now produces the goods. And while this may not be the best of times to take a financial risk or use machinery with abandon, an idea that comes to you in a flash may turn out to be sheer genius.
A stroke of genius?
30th April 2007 - 6th May 2007 After an initial burst of enthusiasm for a new project you may begin to see its drawbacks. Now, it may simply require a few nips and tucks in order to set matters to rights; on the other hand, you could be in danger of throwing good money after bad. Indeed, Wednesday's full moon falls on the financial axis of your horoscope thrusting poor monetary policies into the spotlight, and in some cases creating something of a cash-flow crisis. Under these stars you need to be practical not blindly optimistic so unless someone or something can give you absolute guarantees that your investment, whether of time, emotion or money, is safe, hold your horses.
Pull in the reins.
7th May 2007 - 13th May 2007 This is a tricky old week so don't do your typical Aries 'thing' and jump into situations before you can see where they might be headed. Finances are once again in the mainframe here so avoid those impulse purchases and carefully read the small print before putting your signature to an agreement. While it is vital that you have a positive attitude to life, love and money you should nonetheless consider the effects of a worst-case scenario - there could be changes in your income and an endeavour that has a question mark hovering over its future may indeed fall by the wayside. Be prudent but not panicked.
Hidden pitfalls.
14th May 2007 - 20th May 2007 With ruler Mars hidden away in the zone of mystery and suspense you may have experienced a lack of confidence recently, even become a tad paranoid, but with the arrival of this planet in your sign back comes your va va voom with a vengeance. You can now attack those situations that have been stuck in limbo and you should be able to see who and what has been standing in your way. Indeed, there is something of a revelatory aura to this week's stars, whether you yourself have an aha!-moment or you receive information which totally changes your view. Nonetheless, before you head into battle, make a plan.
Eyes wide open.
21st May 2007 - 27th May 2007 Mercury, the Great Communicator, is at the heart of cosmic affairs this week, helping you reach your objectives but also reminding you that a happy ending is not just a matter of good luck but of foresight and flexibility. And this advice applies to negotiations of a personal or professional nature every bit as much as journeys of the terrestrial kind. You may at last be able to put signatures on contracts or a verdict of some description will be in, and even if news reaching you is not all that you wanted to hear, once you have distanced yourself from events you will see that there are hidden benefits to any changes of agenda.
Think with your head!
28th May 2007 - 3rd June 2007 The end of a long journey is writ in your stars. Maybe you will indeed be travelling this week but whether or not a physical transit is involved there are signs of closure and completion. With this phrase in mind, this could also be the time to put signatures on contracts and finalize discussions. If there is a blot on the landscape it is likely to emerge in the way of emotions interfering with good judgement, so should there be unexpected delays or complications regarding a trip keep your cool and do your best to accommodate other people's needs and feelings. And should problems arise with a plan work calmly through the issues and you'll reach a solution.
Getting there.
4th June 2007 - 10th June 2007 What a week of opportunity! Mars, currently in your sign and giving you the energy and drive with which to tackle the business of each day - and more - hooks up to Jupiter increasing your chances of success and revealing how you can broaden your life canvas. Not only this but also Uranus adds a surprise factor so some Arians will be able to put their signatures to an endeavour that will take them out of their territory, whether in the sense of new outlets for their talents or new locations, while others will suddenly realize what they have to do in order to achieve a much desired goal. For once,Aries, you're in the right place at the right time.
A perfect opportunity.
11th June 2007 - 17th June 2007 Ruler Mars is in great shape this week, as should you. Your energies when focused directly at your targets cannot fail to succeed, and a combination of intuition plus courage proves a winning one. It has been difficult getting people to recognize your more serious side and to approve of your offerings - indeed, you have come to expect rejection and disinterest recently - but someone is impressed with you and if you do not receive a sign of approval now, it is in the pipeline. Do not give up, Aries: Mercury may be turning retrograde on Saturday but you can manage to summon up a little more patience, and certainly some faith in your value to others.
Firm your intentions.
18th June 2007 - 24th June 2007 If you play your cards well, you can emerge from this week's events in a halo of glory; allow your temper or your enthusiasm to get the better of you, and it could take a while to get back on track. Pluto, the Great Transformer, is in the centre of astrological affairs, either churning up the waters or providing you with the power to reach a golden target. You can go far by travelling to a distant location yet the more powerful journeys are to be made with the heart and mind. An angry word, a destructive action or an impulse move could wreck a working or romantic association now, but if you have worked solidly towards a specific goal, the prize could be in your hands.
Going for gold.
25th June 2007 - 1st July 2007 Even super-heroes need time out, time to consider where they might have overstretched themselves, which of their plans might have had a fundamental flaw, so instead of beating yourself up over minor disappointments or petty frustrations, take a step back and consider your options. This is an appropriate moment to cut down on your commitments and focus on those things that are essential to your well-being. It is also a week in which you must seek a practical solution to a problem rather than crossing your fingers and toes in the hopes that it will all work out in the end. There are reasons why you have hit a roadblock or why success is finally in your hands.
The fruits of your labours.
2nd July 2007 - 8th July 2007 You seem to be in limbo-land at present. People may not be returning your calls, a project could have stalled or you yourself are uncertain which way to proceed. Whatever the reason for the stagnation be assured it is very, very temporary. Indeed, in a few short weeks you will wish that you could have used this time to tie up loose ends and perform some necessary research. With this in mind, stop trying to chase up people who remain stubbornly resistant to your enquiries and instead plough your energies and talents into those things that are at the top of your file marked 'boring but essential'. You'll be oh so glad you did.
No time like the present.
9th July 2007 - 15th July 2007 Your purdah is over. No longer are you whistling in the wind, waiting for people to reach a decision so that you will know what you are doing, you can act on your beliefs and desires and make it happen. A domestic matter that has been a cause for concern or a situation that has been in suspension starts to move forward and in the process you regain your confidence and optimism. And even if life has been hunky-dory in recent weeks the next few days offer you opportunities to let your hair down and to make the most of your opportunities and invitations. You could almost say you've never had it so good. Enjoy, Aries, enjoy
Making it happen.
16th July 2007 - 22nd July 2007 Home and finance take centre stage so if currently you have nothing on your agenda remotely connected with money and domestic-ia take a tip from your astrologer and focus your energies in these departments of life. Much can be done to smooth out the wrinkles in your bank account and your financial relationships; likewise time invested in things of a property and family nature will prove very worthwhile. Indeed, news may arrive about the sale of a property or a purchase made will add value to life in general and your self-worth in particular. You may also find that an idea you posited some time ago results in extremely positive feedback.
Adding to your value.
23rd July 2007 - 29th July 2007 Just as the sun sweeps into the area of pleasure and production giving you and your endeavours a badly needed shot in the arm ruler, Mars, angles Neptune zapping your confidence and making you prone to errors, especially of the financial variety. Do not allow first impressions to mislead you. A statement or bill could be plain wrong and your interpretation of what someone means may be very different from the reality. On the plus side, your creativity channelled correctly could elevate a project from average to extraordinary and a meeting with a colleague could turn very romantic indeed.
Misty moments.
30th July 2007 - 5th August 2007 No one likes being called to account, no one enjoys being restrained, but Aries, the speed-aholic of the zodiac, truly resents a hold up. However, this is what you may be facing at the moment. Saturn is currently acting as judge and jury and preventing you from pursuing a course of action, not because it pleases him to do so but to stop you from meeting with a deeper crisis further down the line. Not that it's all dead slow and stop this week... A job well done will be rewarded and a promise, probably with financial overtones, will be fulfilled. Just take it one step at a time and believe that everything happening is in your best interests.
Reaching a stop sign.
6th August 2007 - 12th August 2007 You may notice a subtle shift in your affairs but even if one or more situations still appears to be heading south, or remains stuck in the sidings, these stars are a signal of movement to come - and in a direction you'll like. Ruler, Mars, heads into the zone of travel and dialogue thereby beginning a six-week period in which you will see a little more of your world and the conversations and meetings you will have promise to lead to great things. Jupiter also turns direct so between now and Christmas you can expect to be taking a step that will expand your life horizons. It's time to look forward not back.
Onward and upward.
13th August 2007 - 19th August 2007 It's not like you to be defeatist so whatever the cause of your current disenchantment make sure you are looking at the situation from the right perspective. A criticism should be seen as a spur to excellence and the cancellation of a project should be viewed as an opportunity to focus your energies in more rewarding directions. And should anything strike you as an affront to your happiness and success, you will almost certainly find that it is your best long-term interests. What you do not want to do is attempt to battle on regardless, or, worse, take revenge on the perpetrator of your ire. The wise Aries looks to see how an obstacle can be turned into an advantage.
Hold that thought.
20th August 2007 - 26th August 2007 The planets are giving off mixed signals so you must do your best to remain optimistic and enthusiastic without losing all sense of proportion. Creative endeavours get the Saturn treatment, by which I mean anything not made of the right stuff will surely fall apart at the seams while those things that have worth, and, indeed, a future, will take off like a rocket. Your serious side gets an airing too, whether you are required to take on the role of leader and have extra responsibilities placed on your shoulders or because you realize that something could be lost unless you are prepared to devote more time and commitment to it.
Rising to the task.
27th August 2007 - 2nd September 2007 At least you can't complain that nothing is happening, only, perhaps, that there's too much going on. Hopefully, everything that is occurring is making you a happy camper but should you find a stone in your shoe, please be very careful how you remove it! The total lunar eclipse of the 28th brings the axis of work and health into sharp focus, illuminating problems but also signalling a satisfactory conclusion. Either now or shortly in the future you could hear good news, and at the very least you will know exactly where you stand. And from that point there is only one way to go - onwards and upwards.
Conclusions.
3rd September 2007 - 9th September 2007 If you have been a diligent Ram, you will have left yourself enough time to tie up loose ends and completed your most urgent tasks. Why? Because events this week will place large demands on your time and energy, and you need to be in a calm and focused head-space both to take advantage of the opportunities and to cope with any unexpected challenges. It may be that an organization suddenly requires your talents or that a development on the work front means you have a raft of new responsibilities. However, should you have been ignoring a red light of any description you are about to discover what it was there for!
Staying focused.
10th September 2007 - 16th September 2007 The work centre of your horoscope is the focus for Wednesday's solar eclipse. For some Arians, this is the signal for a new job; for others it is the beginning of a fresh working phase but for most it is a spur to get your house in order. This is a metaphor, of course, for taking your life to task, examining those systems and practices that could do with tightening up or throwing out altogether, and generally getting your life back on the right tracks. To this end, don't be surprised if someone tells you something that temporarily takes the wind out of your sails - it's not personal, just an awakening that is somewhat overdue.
Fresh starts.
17th September 2007 - 23rd September 2007 For the past few weeks Mars has been livening up the zone of communications, leading to some spirited exchanges and a lot more movement in life generally. Now this assertive planet angles mighty Pluto upping the ante and turning differences of opinion into heated disagreements. Therefore, draw in your horns and do your level best not to take up arms against someone whom you may need more than you think. Likewise, if you are using machinery or delicate instruments please maintain your focus and take your time. Is there an upside to this astro-scape? Certainly. A legal matter can be settled and a noble effort will be rewarded.
If in doubt, do nothing.
24th September 2007 - 30th September 2007 You only get one full moon in your own sign each year and this takes place on Wednesday. As one
of the more go-getting signs you need all the opportunities you can get to reflect and
reappraise so use the mid-week period to consider what in your life has done its day and, if
you are dealing with a loss of any description, what can be done to effect closure and
completion. By contrast, this is the perfect time to sign a contract, whether of the romantic or
professional kind. Ruler, Mars, moves to the base of your chart on Saturday thereby beginning a
six week season of hectic activity on the home front - new beginnings are all about you.
Signed and sealed.
1st October 2007 - 7th October 2007 Your attentions to other people are beginning to reap rewards. For some Arians a romance that has been struggling to get off the
ground achieves lift-off and, for others, people in a position to help are starting to show serious interest. Aries is the
lone ranger of the zodiac, relying on itself to reach its targets, but even you have to admit that with someone to back you, love
you, and join in your life endeavours your journey is infinitely sweeter. The next few weeks bring people to your side who will
have a favourable influence on you, and, in general you are beginning a period in which relationships prosper, and even those in
difficulties improve.
Two heads are better than one.
8th October 2007 - 14th October 2007 There's something of the fairground about these stars - a lucky dip to be precise : you plunge your hand into the barrel and what comes out depends of the gods of chance. On the one hand, despite your assumptions that one of your efforts has failed, it will turn out to be a success; travel or large organizations could be involved and, in some cases, what happens this week will lead to a change of work or home location. On the other hand, the time may well have come to recognize that a situation in which you have invested high hopes is unworkable. Not that this is a cause for despair, more a spur to refine your ideas and get back to the drawing board.
The getting of wisdom.
15th October 2007 - 21st October 2007 It may seem a little strange to be standing back while other people are doing all the hard work but you should take advantage of this short period in which partners and those you would like to impress are bending over backwards to accommodate you. Work and finances are front of the queue when it comes to good news and should you be at all concerned about either of these areas of life now is the time to approach those involved. Communication is key and by being prepared to listen to advice or consider the offers being made you will see that there are alternative ways to arrive at the conclusion you desire.
Negotiate, negotiate.
22nd October 2007 - 28th October 2007 With the sun's entry into a key financial sector of your horoscope it seems you can no longer avoid a discussion with a partner or financial institution. Ideally, you should be thinking of drawing up new agreements and bringing a little more balance into your financial empire but this might require facing a painful reality first. And since the area of work and lifestyle is under somewhat volatile stars this is not the time to act in a high-handed manner with a colleague or employer, or anyone else for that matter. There is nothing that cannot be resolved by keeping your head or by applying liberal doses of charm particles.
Making deals.
29th October 2007 - 4th November 2007 It is frustrating when people are not returning your calls and appear to have disappeared off the planet but your vigil at the lost and found counter is all but over. Mercury turns direct on the 1st uniting you with missing items and putting certain individuals back in touch. To add to your joys Venus in the area of work hooks up to Jupiter setting the scene for good news and far-ranging opportunities. This is the right time to make a long journey, whether you are indeed travelling to a distant place or because you must perform a big leap in your thinking. Whatever your view of your life at present, the signs are something good is taking place.
Reunited.
5th November 2007 - 11th November 2007 The usual go-getting, driven Ram has done a disappearing act and in its place has come a more introspective, more emotional ewe! Romantic Venus enters the zone of one to one relationships on Thursday closely followed by a new moon in the most depth-charged area of your horoscope; for some Arians this adds up to a week in which you are considering some radical financial moves, which necessitate a heart to heart with a business partner or monetary organization but for others it is an affair of the heart itself that is causing some serious thought. Whatever the case, don't shut yourself off from those who can help you negotiate this complex passage.
Heart and head.
12th November 2007 - 18th November 2007 This week you can trust some things to luck but not money or love. You are not seeing the reality of someone or something and before you commit your heart or your savings to an endeavour or an association be sure you have a built-in safety clause. While romance has a vital place in your life the situation must be seen for what it is, not what you hope it will be. Mars, your ruler, turns retrograde on the 15th so between now and late January your energies will be channelled into matters that require time, research and patience; you may also have to take a back seat in someone else's life. Whatever the case, don't rush your fences now - time is your ally, not your foe.
Appearances are deceptive.
19th November 2007 - 25th November 2007 You finally emerge from the trough you have been in for the past few weeks - a rather self-imposed one it must be said. While money matters have weighed on your mind you have tended to see that proverbial glass half empty all the time. Not so from this week. As soon as the sun arrives in your fellow fire sign, Sagittarius, (22nd) your spirits will lift; you could be organizing a trip to foreign parts, putting together an adventurous plan or simply recognizing that your future is really rather rosy. Then, of course, there's Venus working away in the relationship zone and showing you that you are indeed loved, and by someone very special.
Life returns.
26th November 2007 - 2nd December 2007 Romance holds an important place in your life but you cannot live on a diet of hope and fantasy - at some point you have to get real. And this is what Saturn offers you this week. On the plus side, you can put signatures to contracts and settle a matter once and for all - and probably one linked to work and/or long-range plans - but on the minus side if you have the courage to ask someone what his or her intentions are, you may receive an answer you did not want. Either way, Aries, with Venus continuing her journey through the area of relationships somebody somewhere definitely loves you so affirm your worth and get back in the saddle.
Knowing what's real.
3rd December 2007 - 9th December 2007 You appear to be caught between the devil and the deep blue sea: on the one hand you're ready to make a controversial and daring move and, on the other, someone or something is causing you to consider the consequences and thus holding you back. The issue here is long-term benefits as opposed to short-term gains; put another way, you need to weigh in the balance which is to your greater advantage - instant gratification or waiting for rewards much further down the line. Only you can make such a choice but it may help if I point out that the harder decision and the more difficult path is almost always the right one.
A crisis of indecision.
10th December 2007 - 16th December 2007 Life is at extremes: the good is amazing, and the bad... the stuff of your autobiography. Given that you are by nature something of
an extremist start as you mean to go on and tread very warily with people who could do you some serious damage. You may also be
surprised by the way a situation suddenly performs a 180? turn. For a few Arians, especially those with late April birthdays, events at
this time will launch you in some way, yet if you have stubbornly resisted making a move that could cost you money, time - whatever
- proverbial push has come to shove. It may seem as though fate has taken you by the hand but you have had a hand in this design.
Powerful times.
17th December 2007 - 23rd December 2007 Show me an Aries who hasn't mountains to climb and I'll show you a lost lamb. And maybe you have been labouring under some pressures recently that have somehow zapped your confidence and caused you to lose your sense of adventure. However, after this week, with the arrival of Jupiter in the zone of life-goals, you have no excuse - it's onward and upward, and at a pace. Especially if you have a March birthday you are on the edge of a breakthrough, particularly in regard to your career or something you have worked long and hard towards, and in general this is a time of achievement and transformation.
Aim high.
24th December 2007 - 30th December 2007 You'll need all the energy and all the patience you've got this week. Mars is driving you ever harder, whether, despite the Christmas festivities, you're continuing to deal with an important career issue or trying to ensure that a major plan can be brought to fruition in the new year. Do your best not to let petty family issues get in the way of the spirit of the season - especially if you have a birthday on or near 21st March, a long pattern of life is at an end and a new one is in the process of coming in. All of which is to the good. By the weekend love becomes the big priority and a proposal of sorts could be on its way.
Relax - it's only Christmas!
31st December 2007 - 6th January 2008 This is a tough start to the year, even if you see it in with high spirits and equally high hopes. It seems there is work to be done and a matter to be settled, both of which have to be achieved without frills and sweeteners. You may be ready to sign on the dotted line and make a reality of a blue-print but if you were hoping for someone to lavish you with affection and praise you to the skies, you've got another think coming. Especially where work or a family matter is concerned, you will have to shoulder the responsibility and if that means admitting a mistake, so be it. You've got plenty of wonderful things ahead of you.
Shoulder to the wheel.
7th January 2008 - 13th January 2008 It's a new year and a fresh start. A new moon at the zenith of your horoscope is a sign of new opportunities coming your way. This would be an ideal moment to make a career change or at least to consider what moves could and should be made to ensure that you fulfil your talents and your ambitions. Elsewhere, you are being encouraged to look farther afield for happiness and, more especially love, whether this manifests as a trip to a distant place or a message that changes the course of a relationship. Don't hanker after the past, Aries, your life is changing, as, indeed, are you and this is not the moment to ask why but simply to go for it.
New horizons.
14th January 2008 - 20th January 2008 There may be nothing much going on in the heavens but there is about to be. With this in mind,
clear the decks of any outstanding paperwork, deal with that hot potato you've been avoiding
since Christmas and don't cut a single corner. A romance could be the reason you're
heading away from home or there could be other reasons why people in far away places are not
just on your mind but central to your actions. Do your best to rein in your feisty spirit
because you need a clear head at the moment and moves made on the spur of a passionate moment
could get you into hot water. And if destiny has already struck, take your time before you
respond.
One step at a time.
21st January 2008 - 27th January 2008 It looks as though something is in the bag - a deal finally done or a positive response to a question or offer. The areas of work and
life-direction are in perfect harmony, giving your hopes substance and helping you make solid progress. Tuesday's full moon is another
sign of closure, and since the creative axis is highlighted there is a sense of a gestation period being all but completed with a birth of some
description in the near future. A relationship could be centre stage too with some Arians in the throes of a sublime passion and others ready
to pull the plug on someone or something that is the source of more pain than pleasure.
A done deal.
28th January 2008 - 3rd February 2008 Not for the first time does it seem as if you've got the accelerator pressed down hard and the hand brake on - in other words,
you're going nowhere fast. The reason is twofold: Mercury, communication chief, heads into reverse mode on Monday while two days later
ruler, Mars, turns direct after some weeks in the cosmic wilderness. Even more patience is required now, Aries, so simply get on with
those things that can be accomplished and stop trying to goad other people into action and worrying that one or more of your plans will
never materialize. Somewhere in the background people are working hard on your behalf; one of them may have warm and wonderful feelings
for you.
A pit stop.
4th February 2008 - 10th February 2008 You may be the Lone Ranger of the zodiac but team work and team spirit do have their advantages, as you may well discover this week. A solar eclipse in the zone of collaborations points to a new project of a business or philanthropic nature beginning in the near future. This solar eclipse may bring new contacts into your life also that will help you realize an ambition or develop your people skills. Sound a little dull? Well, there's no such thing as a dull eclipse so don't be surprised if, before the middle of March, someone derails one of your plans but in the process opens you up to even greater possibilities.
No longer a loner.
11th February 2008 - 17th February 2008 Lost causes are not Aries' thing but you can be led up the garden path on a mission by someone who has been somewhat economical with the truth or because you have completely misinterpreted the situation. Now, this sentiment may have nothing whatsoever to do with the object of your affection and the statements from the heart issued this week but it may relate to a business endeavour or a colleague or friend. With this in mind be careful what and to whom you divulge information this week - not everyone is as frank as you and it would be time-consuming at the very least to have to go into rescue and recovery mode.
Be circumspect.
18th February 2008 - 24th February 2008 You may not be quite as on top of situations as you should be. In part, this may have to do with your working too hard recently or enjoying life
too much, but the sun's entry into the low key twelfth house followed by a total lunar eclipse is a sign that all is not as it seems. A minor
health problem should be dealt with immediately and if you sense that someone is not as happy with a particular state of affairs as you are a
discussion must follow. For some Arians the week ahead brings confirmation of a job offer yet for others the writing will be on the wall as far
as a working commitment is concerned. This is not the time to play ostrich.
Head out of the sand.
25th February 2008 - 2nd March 2008 You don't always have to live up to your reputation as the fearless leader of the zodiac; sometimes you just feel vulnerable and
uncertain like the rest of your fellow human beings. Do not push yourself physically, intellectually or emotionally this week: take it easy.
Also, do not allow your fears to drive your actions. In a little less than a month the sun will be in your sign and you will be recharged and
back to full confidence; indeed, this period of the year can prove entirely useful in getting you to tune into the inner-you, thereby
resolving many issues through dreaming and meditation. It's time to be a lamb not a ram.
Withdrawal.
10th March 2008 - 16th March 2008 This continues to be a period in which you're not quite the fearless leader people have come to know and love - you've lost your spark. Now, this may be because
you're not at your best physically or you could have issues on your mind that are dragging you down. If so, this is a temporary blip on the barometer of life and you will soon be
back on form. However, there is a chance that you are creating problems and imagining hurts so this is not the time to make matters worse by confronting someone with your fears.
And if your love life appears to have taken a nose-dive, affirm your infinite virtues and wait until April when love will be blossoming once more.
Get over it!
3rd March 2008 - 9th March 2008 You may know already that a tough week lies ahead but if you are gazing at an empty schedule and
wondering what to do with yourself might I suggest that you take a look at what you've stuffed under
the carpet. Ruler, Mars, arrives in the area of home and family and opposes Pluto, the planet of
disclosures and disruption, so, especially if you have a March birthday tread very carefully with
certain individuals and keep a tight rein on that feisty spirit of yours. It may be time to give the old
heave-ho to someone or something but you need to be sure that you can live without that person or
situation. In this heated climate a small flare can ignite a forest fire.
Gently does it.
17th March 2008 - 23rd March 2008 At last the blinkers are off and you can see clearly - a little too clearly, in some
cases... Almost as soon as the sun enters your sign it angles Pluto revealing secrets and
unearthing feelings you were unaware you had. For some Arians this is a time of triumph, a
period in which life begins again yet for others it may seem as though part of your world
has crumbled, leaving you to rebuild it. You are a strong and resourceful sign so whether
you are feeling somewhat daunted by what lies ahead, albeit thrilled with your good fortune,
or unsure where you go from here, you will come through. And in style.
A new beginning.
24th March 2008 - 30th March 2008 Just because do not have precisely what you want is not a reason to bury yourself in a trough of self-pity. Planets
currently active in the hidden twelfth house are working towards a very positive development, if not late this week then at
some point in April. The theme of the week is believing in your dreams, whether this means you should not allow your hopes
to falter or because a dream will inform you about a specific state of affairs and/or what is to come. And should you have
a strong impulse to make a certain move, obey that hunch - but only as long as it springs from the best of motives not
out of revenge or anger.
Dreaming.
31st March 2008 - 6th April 2008 There's no rest for the Aries Ram, thanks to planet Pluto. You're digging deep into your reserves
whether you're dealing with a complex financial matter, fulfilling a ton of duties or bringing great
wisdom to bear on an emotional situation. And the trick is not to get into a fight! Just because you are
being tested on one or more fronts does not mean you should let your short fuse get the better of you, so
be tolerant of other people's failings and accepting of their differences. On Sunday, beautiful Venus
enters your sign intent on bringing love into your life and, with a New moon in Aries on the same day, a
new beginning is just around the corner.
A test of strength.
7th April 2008 - 13th April 2008 Optimism returns in large doses. This may be simply a result of an inner process - you've spent
enough time grieving over what might have been and are ready to embark on a new crusade - or it could
be events in the external world that are having a positive effect on you. Whatever the case, this
week's astro-scape represents opportunity in a bottle. Career and life-ambitions look to be
the primary beneficiary of these expansive influences, whether your efforts regarding self-promotion
finally yield results or because you receive an offer you cannot refuse. And even if Pluto appears to
have derailed one of your dreams, you have others which can and will succeed.
Back in the saddle.
14th April 2008 - 20th April 2008 With fortunate Venus having just entered your sign and harmonious influences in the zone of self-worth it seems something looks set to add to your stock. A money worry can be overcome now, a new financial plan set in motion and the investments you make will produce excellent dividends in the future. And this same theme could well apply to other matters affecting your self-esteem. A positive career development is in the pipeline for some Arians and a step in the right direction for a romance or long-term relationship can be expected for others, and whatever you do this week, knowing your value and refusing to accept anything less than you are worth is the way to go.
An enriching experience.
21st April 2008 - 27th April 2008 You should be enjoying life and seeing the good in everyone and everything. No? Still fending off a
slew of problems? Well, let me assure you that something very good is taking place and when it
appears in reality you will be able to trace its origins back to this latter part of April. Venus brings
her stores of love and attraction to bear, whether you meet someone who knocks your socks off, people
recognize your talents or a development on the home front adds to your bank of happiness. And should you
have had a falling out with a loved one recently or experienced a professional set-back now is the
moment to get back in that diamond studded saddle of yours!
A winning ticket.
28th April 2008 - 4th May 2008 It seems that one area of life has been placed on hold for a while, with the result that you have not
known exactly where you stood, however, with reality-bringer, Saturn, getting back on track, order is
about to emerge from confusion. Especially where work is concerned this is a time to talk facts and
figures with management with a view to increasing your salary or adding to your long-term job
security, and where affairs of the heart are involved, do not for a moment compromise your integrity or
self-worth. You are full of value: do not lower your standards. If nothing else you'll show other
people that you're made of the right stuff.
Affirming your self-worth.
5th May 2008 - 11th May 2008 A new moon in the money zone signals a welcome financial development. A new cycle is set to start and it may be
brought in by a salary increase, a career upgrade or simply your efforts to make money problems a thing of the
past. This might also turn out to be a very good week for property matters. Of course, the area of self-worth
isn't just about your bank balance but the way people value you, and the esteem in which you hold yourself.
Thus, someone could be full of love and admiration for you and ready to put his money where his mouth is. Get ready
to turn another corner and enjoy the rise and rise in your stock.
Adding to your stock.
12th May 2008 - 18th May 2008 You are in a phase when you can hardly go wrong money-wise. If you're making long-term investments you
can anticipate growth in the future, if you're buying or selling a property, you'll be oh so happy with the
result and should you be in salary negotiations expect to be treated like a valued client. And if it's not
money that is raising your self-esteem it could be an affair of the heart. Usually Aries is a strong and
confident sign but you've taken a knocking these last few months thus it is time you stopped playing that old
record: nobody loves a loser and started to believe that you're holding the winning ticket.
Abundance.
19th May 2008 - 25th May 2008 The end of a matter is signalled, and it may well have to do with money or a close association - perhaps both. And since Saturn is in the mix you may well feel a sense of regret or that the cost has been heavier than you had hoped. On the plus side, this is a good moment to reach a hard decision; you'll also find that offers made will be firm but, on the minus side, if you have been over-optimistic about a situation or you have over-reached yourself in any way you are about to be brought down to earth with a bump. Should this is indeed the case, retreat and regroup because in a month's time things will have changed.
Endings and pauses.
26th May 2008 - 1st June 2008 Get out your crochet hook and your patience pills - from now until late June you're going to have to carefully pick apart information, put in hours of homework and prepare to wait for responses to your questions. In fact, you're going to have to play an entirely out of character role, and you can start this week by being very understanding should someone back out of an offer or an endeavour that was all set to take off have to disappear into the sidings for a few weeks. Be especially diplomatic with employers/employees and colleagues: it will be easy to sabotage a situation simply by allowing your frustration to show.
Complications.
2nd June 2008 - 8th June 2008 Are you in the mood to hear sweet nothings? Or, more probably, sweet somethings. People are ready
to talk contracts and show you how impressed they are with your ideas, and it appears some travel is on
the horizon. But while for some celestial Rams this week's honey'd influences are related to
work and the material world others will be exchanging beautiful thoughts with a partner or new romantic
interest. Almost any situation will benefit from an injection of good will on your part so if you have
had a recent falling out with a colleague or friend now would be the moment to open up peace talks.
Sweet talk.
9th June 2008 - 15th June 2008 You need to allow your sweet nature to shine through and hold your feisty self firmly in check.
Why? Well, Uranus is pressing your buttons and would like nothing better than to see you lash out
at someone who may not appreciate hearing the undiluted truth of your arguments. Thus, do nothing in a
hurry or on the spur of an emotional moment. Should an unexpected development occur that means plans
have to be changed, give the information time to settle and you'll probably see that this has
improved the situation rather than spoiled it. As always, a learning curve is best negotiated when
we're not distracted by the voice of our injured pride.
Keep serene.
16th June 2008 - 22nd June 2008 A week of profound communications. You may have news that you have been successful in an application or
with a proposal; you may hear the words you wanted to hear from someone close to you or a
contract/legal matter could be finalized. On the other hand, you could run into a brick wall of
opposition such that it may prove impossible to continue along a certain route. Whatever the scenarios
you face you must endeavour to find your centre, neither crowing over your success (some people may
not be quite as happy as you...) nor reaching for the self-destruct button and drowning your
sorrows in the bottle marked despair.
Stay serene.
23rd June 2008 - 29th June 2008 Drawing lines in the sand is your theme for the week. Perhaps you have a reached a point where
you're ready to make a long-term decision and instead of your usual broad-brush-stroke
approach you want to dot all the i's and cross all the t's. Which is the right way to go under
these stars. You also appear to be saying farewell to an aspect of your life, even if that means a
belief or behavioural system - and in order to come away clean and clear, every last detail must
be checked. And with the moon in your own sign from Thursday to Saturday you will almost certainly
gain a sense of empowerment about what you are doing.
Firm of purpose.
30th June 2008 - 6th July 2008 The celestial Ram does not wait for lightening to strike - you create your own opportunities and bring enthusiasm and drama to the dullest event. But this you do not have to do this week: the cosmos is going into overdrive on your behalf. Someone may now recognize your assets and make you an offer you cannot refuse, a career break could be forthcoming and instead of a diet of crumbs and left-overs there is a feast of delights. The only problem you face is losing your focus and making an error of judgement – something you can avoid by taking adequate rest and counting to ten before making an irrevocable move.
Fun on sticks.
7th July 2008 - 13th July 2008 What do you do when you see a road block in the distance? Go as fast as you can in an effort to burst through the barrier or do you slow down and assess your options as the obstacle comes ever nearer? Even the most headstrong Aries has to admit the second option is the better one. And it is certainly a strategy you should employ this week. Whether the obstacle turns out to be a rejection, a hold-up or the impracticability of a plan, under no circumstances try to force the situation to come around: there is a reason why you've hit a rut in the road and once you've had time to think about it you'll be able to make a move that will be in your best interests.
Hold it!
14th July 2008 - 20th July 2008 Happy endings are in the stars. A protracted legal tussle could be over, a property matter may be
settled or a job offer could be signed and sealed, and in general the week ahead provides evidence
that you have what it takes to be a success. On the more personal side of life a celebration could
unite the family and, if you are adding to your responsibilities, these are not weighty ones but
joyful burdens. If there is a downside to the astrology it is symbolized by the full moon on the axis
of life-direction: in some cases this is indicative of a chapter that is to close without your
sanction, leaving you with some regrets. Not for long though...
The end of the matter.
20th July 2008 - 27th July 2008 You are beginning a period in which you will find more joy and pleasure in life so if the last few weeks have put you under pressure you're about to get back your bounce and optimism. An excellent link between ruler, Mars, and Jupiter in the zone of life goals will ensure your success in any competitive situation and it will provide also the confidence you require to impress those who count. Indeed, there is little you cannot achieve if you harness your will to your ambitions and desires. Perhaps too now would be the moment to knock at a door once more that so far has remained closed to you.
Nothing ventured; nothing gained.
28th July 2008 - 3rd August 2008 This could be a week to remember for a love affair or a project close to your heart. A total solar eclipse is a portent of great things to come, although much upheaval can be expected in the process. If you have a big date in your diary already, just take a deep breath and ignore the small stuff, but should you have nothing of significance on the agenda, do nothing on impulse or in the heat of a tempestuous moment. Allow the cosmos to move on your behalf and keep reminding yourself that if a situation is right it will come right and if it is not, there is nothing to be done about it. Under no circumstances lose your serenity.
Mighty moments.
4th August 2008 - 10th August 2008 You're probably discovering already that your Aries gung-ho is not going to get you very far in this astrological climate. Ruler, Mars, is opposing unpredictable Uranus introducing an element of uncertainty into the proceedings and you will be far better off taking everything slowly and avoiding those people who and those situations that represent a risk. Clearly the time may have come for a secret to be exposed or for an endeavour that has been in shreds to completely fall apart at the seams but such things don't need any extra help from you, especially if you want to come away without severe bruising and your dignity in tact.
Err on the side of caution.
11th August 2008 - 17th August 2008 Keep your feisty and fearless side in check because one careless move could land you in hot water. Nothing can be achieved in a haze of passion or panic; you need a clear head and the knowledge that what initially looks to be a major blight on your plans is instead an opportunity to channel your emotions and energies in a alternative direction. A disappointment bravely born, a criticism accepted in the spirit it is given and compassion displayed for someone who is experiencing a difficulty will all help to turn a challenging week into a triumph. Also, what comes through a test at this time is made of the real stuff – and this you need in your life.
Keep your head.
18th August 2008 - 24th August 2008 There are two ways of looking at this astro-scape – exciting or volatile - and from the beginning of the week you will need to keep yourself as centred as possible. Mars zips into the area of relationships creating sparks between you and another person. But while passion may be an entirely welcome prospect conflict and upsets are probably not. You're not always the best listener in the zodiac and reaching a compromise can be a challenge, however in the event of a difference of opinion or an unwanted outcome do your level best to be diplomatic and open to alternatives. You are only half-way through August and there is still much to be gained or lost.
Steady the buffs!
25th August 2008 - 31st August 2008 Not for the first time this month have you had to fight your natural instincts and instead
of wading into the breach hold back and bite your tongue. Allow other people to shoot
themselves in the foot and take each and every turn of the way very cautiously. It seems the
biggest challenge facing you is in regard to work: maybe a colleague is proving
uncooperative or perhaps a difficult exchange with a superior lies ahead. But whatever
strikes you as a stone in your shoe, it will be gone all the quicker if you keep your
dignity and remind yourself that in the great scheme of things this is a just a temporary
blip.
Don't rush in...
1st September 2008 - 7th September 2008 There is more than one way of interpreting these influences: one might be that after an enormous amount of effort you get the break you have been working towards; another would be that once you stop clinging to a situation a way forward emerges almost immediately. Saturn and Jupiter present a sweet-sour picture, especially in regard to work, so while you face pressures and minor set-backs in the short term your long term future is looking very healthy indeed. Thus, do not allow events to dampen your ardour and remind yourself that there have been similar situations in the past when your hopes appeared to have been denied then suddenly everything changed.
A positive attitude.
8th September 2008 - 14th September 2008 People have good news to share with you, and what they have to say could inspire great or small changes in your routine. Between now and late October you are not the one in the driver's seat so practice the art of listening to others and waiting for people to make you offers. (Your feisty nature has its advantages but it needs overriding at this point of the year.) For some Arians this applies first and foremost to a love affair or developments in a partner's life but for others it is your career that could take off in a positive and unexpected direction. If you stand still for a moment you may even be able to feel the change in the wind.
Standing back.
15th September 2008 - 21st September 2008 Tensions in the workplace can be relieved with a little humour and a lot of patience. However, if you allow your warrior spirit to prevail you could lose more than a good working relationship. Maybe it is time to move on and move out but such actions should be the result of a long-considered debate. What this astro-scape could help you do is prune an over-heavy schedule leaving you time and space to focus on those things that will make you more money and provide greater fulfilment. Then again, these winds of change could be blowing through an altogether different area of life in which case please count to ten before you act.
Patience please.
22nd September 2008 - 28th September 2008 Forgiveness is a wonderful thing and thanks to Neptune you may be either
on the receiving end of an apology or ready to give one. Healing can
take place at this time and heartfelt gestures will bear fruit, even if
that fruit isn't quite what you expected. On this occasion the
process of forgiveness is speeded by Mercury's retrograde movement
(24th) - this planet will help you go over old ground and
take back statements that were made in haste or on the basis of
incorrect information. Nonetheless, you will still need to watch your
step when it comes to travel and dealing with others because it will be
just as easy to make a mistake you'll be apologizing for in the
future.
Saying sorry.
29th September 2008 - 5th October 2008 Relationships are going to be the focus of your stars for a few more weeks but a new moon in this area of your horoscope (29th) sets the ball rolling. Always the prime-mover you would nonetheless benefit from taking a step back in order for other people to reveal their intentions and their true colours. A proposal of some description could be forthcoming between now and the end of October, but if an offer appears this week take a little time before making your decision. Even if your heart is beating so fast you can hardly contain yourself, there are some potential loopholes to consider. And making people wait only piques their desire.
Considering your options.
6th October 2008 - 12th October 2008 This could turn out to be a very successful week for you. Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, is boldly aspecting the sun and Mercury in the zone of partnership: other people can only be impressed by your charms and your talent, leading to a positive development on the job front or regarding your material ambitions. However, your worldly success is not the only issue in the spotlight. This may also be a highly important week for an affair of the heart, whether the moment has come to say, "I do" or move a romance onto a long-term basis. Where money is concerned, however, avoid those impulse moves and check every last figure.
Who loves you, baby!
13th October 2008 - 19th October 2008 A full moon in your sign happens once a year, and this is it. On the 14th, when you look up at that pale disc in the night sky, make a wish, because there's every chance it'll come true. What you'll certainly gain is a sense of closure, especially in regard to a relationship. Maybe it's time to make a full-blown commitment to someone or perhaps a working or intimate partnership has finally done its day but, one way or another, you are getting rid of emotional baggage in order to put the health back in your love life - and, indeed, relationships of every kind. It also seems as though a long wait is over and you now know precisely what is what.
Closure.
20th October 2008 - 26th October 2008 You may not have been able to assert your independence recently or, indeed, express an
opinion without having it countermanded but there is light on the horizon. Other people
have been noticing your assets and considering your views and you may well receive an
offer or invitation this week. Good will and good fortune are redolent in these stars,
and although you may be frustrated at the time it is taking to get a situation off the
ground, you really do have to wait for all those concerned to get their ducks in a row.
Remain positive regardless of the evidence in front of you and be gracious at all times.
Good things come to those who wait...
27th October 2008 - 2nd November 2008 Money matters are under splendid stars so start the week ready to overcome your financial hurdles and make a profit. If you
have been trying to reach a settlement with a company or an ex-partner, offers could be forthcoming and satisfactory
deals achieved and should you have been waiting for funds to arrive, expect delivery - and certainly signs of movement
- before Saturday. And there could be other aspects of your life set for improvements, most notably a relationship.
Normally the one to state your terms and make the moves, you should allow your opposite number to show what he or she can do
to add to your happiness and long-term security.
Increasing your value.
3rd November 2008 - 9th November 2008 The going is somewhat treacherous so go slowly and under no circumstances act in the heat of the moment. News from abroad could put a damper on your hopes and if you are involved in anything of a legal nature, follow the advice of a trusted professional. In this climate lies and deviousness proliferate and you cannot be sure if the process of karma will be working in your favour or for the other side! Travel could have its little frustrations too so check the route is clear before you head out the door and leave plenty of room for delays and detours. And on the plus side@ You could get precisely what you wished for...
The law of cause and effect.
10th November 2008 - 16th November 2008 You are either at a pinnacle or on the edge. A full moon flanking the financial axis of your horoscope indicates the
conclusion of a deal, a settlement or a monetary crisis, while Pluto's conjunction to Venus signals a breakthrough on
the professional or romantic front - or quite the reverse. Thus, this is a week in which to play your cards very
carefully. To a certain extent much of what is taking place has been in the pipeline for a while, however, there is still
some room for manoeuvring and the cooler and clearer you are the more options you will discover. Certainly, this will be a
week to remember for many celestial Rams.
A balancing act.
17th November 2008 - 23rd November 2008 Jupiter and Saturn are in harmony again so you have a second bite at the cherry, so to speak. A chance that you may have missed could reappear or there could be a follow-on from an event that took place in early September. Certainly it will do no harm to view developments this week in the light of times past - and there is an opportunity to be found in there somewhere. This sentiment looks to be most evident where work and your material world is concerned but, whatever comes or goes by chance, if you want to make the best use of these aspects it will be in combining your entrepreneurial spirit with a sound strategy.
Setting out your market stall.
24th November 2008 - 30th November 2008 Thinking of taking a long journey? Talking to people far away? Your horoscope is full of activity, and, one way or
another, it seems you have distant people and places on your mind. Thursday's new moon opens up a window of opportunity
between now and Christmas so an offer could be on the table, whether of a business or pleasurable nature. However, this may
well involve an upheaval, if only in practical terms. Pluto's arrival in Capricorn is implicated here since this planet
is set to alter your long-term horizons over the next few years, which in some cases will involve living or working
abroad. The countdown starts now.
Looking ahead.
15th December 2008 - 21st December 2008 Mars and Saturn do not make the jolliest of partners at seasonal celebrations but they are the best when it comes to
getting the work of Christmas done – getting the work done, period. So, if you have a ton of duties on your agenda you will
fulfil them in the manor born. On the other hand, this is not the time to have unrealistic expectations about endeavours
that require considerable financial backing or the goodwill of people who have already proved uncooperative. Long-distance
matters look to be top of the list when it comes to potential glitches so if you are travelling or hooking up with people
far away prepare to be patient and conserve your energies.
One step at a time.
8th December 2008 - 14th December 2008 Take it one step at a time and if in doubt, do nothing. Now, this may sound somewhat alarmist but you're a fearless, feisty sign and when Uranus is in the ascendant, as it is this week, slips of one sort or another easily happen. On the plus side, there could be a break-through in a previously dead-locked situation, one, perhaps, with legal overtones, but on the minus side a thoughtless action could cause many regrets on your part. Clearly, if you're ready to make a controversial decision and chart a new course in unfamiliar territory, this is the astro-scape you need. Even so, please arm yourself with a detailed map and a list of emergency numbers!
Watch your step.
1st December 2008 - 7th December 2008 Some serious thinking needs to be done, first and foremost in regard to your work. The time may have come to admit that you are unappreciated and unfulfilled, and your talents would be better served with another organization or, perhaps, a job has come to an end. Fortunately, Venus and Jupiter are urging you to believe in yourself so a timely phone call to people of power and influence could achieve a very positive result. Affairs of the heart are also centre stage - and with this same theme of considering your options and making moves intended to take you where and with whom you want to go. Or not, as the case may be...
A reality check.
22nd December 2008 - 28th December 2008 Just when you thought it couldn't get any more pressurized along comes Pluto and turns it into a three-ringed circus. You have probably piled too much on your plate yet it is also possible that an unscheduled departure from the Christmas plan sends everyone into a tail- spin. The chances are, however, an enforced change will turn out better all round and your having to be creative with your ideas (and finances) could make the season even more memorable. Whatever you do don't allow the Aries warrior-within to get anywhere near the firearms – it's the decorations and the gifts from the heart that should be lighting up your life.
Relax: it's only Christmas...
29th December 2008 - 4th January 2009 You're probably standing on the edge of a new year and thinking that nothing much is going to change, well, you have a surprise in store – and probably before your birthday. For now, however, there are duties to attend to and some clearing up to do, not only of Christmas past but in the way of misunderstandings. There's also a chance that you are looking at a situation in an overly negative way and that once you start to see its practical advantages and begin to get to work on it, your spirits and your resolve will soon return. A message from someone you have not seen for many moons could give you much to think about...
A sober start to 2009.
5th January 2009 - 11th January 2009 A new year, and a new start. But first, an ending. Sunday's full moon cuts across the axis of life-direction showing you that one particular road has run out and it is time to plough a new furrow. In some cases this applies to your career, whether an aspect of an existing job is poised to change or you will be seeking a new outlet for your skills, but in other cases, an ending is set to take place on the home front – a member of the family moving away from home, perhaps, or the sale of a house. Aries is the great pioneer of the zodiac and you are looking at many new conquests this year but maybe the lesson you have to get under your belt first, is the importance of closure.
Saying Goodbye.
12th January 2009 - 18th January 2009 There's nothing wrong in taking life a little more slowly. Aside from the improvements to your health and emotional equilibrium a breathing space gives you time to think what you really want from a situation, time to make plans and to receive counsel from those you trust. Towards the end of last year you may have had a brilliant idea or someone could have come to you with a proposal, and this needs revamping at this time but not necessarily dumping in the garbage. So, feisty Aries, take your time, give a matter more thought and above all do not lose your spirit or your sense of humour.
Revising your position.
19th January 2009 - 25th January 2009 Keeping secrets isn't always Aries' strongest suit so if there is something that must remain under wraps at all costs do not put it at risk this week. And since Venus is the planet with all the secrets at the moment it could be an affair of the heart that is about to come out of the closet. By contrast you could be the one who is amazed by a situation you had no idea had been developing over recent weeks. There is also a chance that you have been working or playing too hard thereby draining your reserves and making you more vulnerable to infections and minor upsets. All in all, a week to be cautious and circumspect.
Go carefully.
26th January 2009 - 1st February 2009 The new and the different are flooding into your life from all directions, and, if you've been toying with the idea of beginning a new business enterprise or getting a group of like-minded individuals together these are just the stars under which to go for it. The importance of team work and networking could also reveal itself this week and there could be news from a friend that amazes you. On the 1st Mercury gets back on track, reconnecting you with people you have not seen for a while and helping you make sense of a recent mystery. All in all, Aries, it seems you are back in business, and with a vengeance.
On your way.
2nd February 2009 - 8th February 2009 Brute force is often your weapon of choice but with sweet Venus entering your sign on Tuesday (and for five months) you are about to receive a transformational lesson in love. For a change you are the one who must be wooed and won, you are the one to offer the olive branch instead of the sword and it is you who will understand that without love nothing much else matters. It may be that a relationship faces a big test this week or that you discover your feelings for someone are more powerful than you knew but whatever shape these powerful influences take do not for a moment be misled by the appearance of a situation - there's a lot going on under the surface.
Still waters run deep.
9th February 2009 - 15th February 2009 Feeling romantic? Hoping for something special to happen? Well, with Venus in your sign you cannot blame your stars for any failure to please. Nonetheless, there is some Neptunian fog surrounding your affairs so a message may fail to reach you and you could misinterpret someone's words and actions. My advice is to be strong in your heart and not to go chasing up blind alleys in the sense of allowing rumours, fears and minor offences to poison your feelings for someone. And if you're ready to pop the question or make a move on someone you like, forget the Aries caveman approach and let the magic of love do the work.
Falling for make-believe.
16th February 2009 - 22nd February 2009 Your spirits are high and what may have seemed shrouded in doubt now looks clear and positive – either that, or you've re-framed what happened recently and got back your va va voom. Romance, relationships and collaborations are all under splendid influences so a project or plan could be gathering steam or you have the energy and vision to turn a blue-print into a reality. And even if you are nursing a bruise or two there's something about this week that puts a smile on your face. On the 18th the sun slips into the secluded twelfth house of your solar chart indicating the start of a four-week period in which rest, relaxation and your health zoom to the top of your agenda.
Smiling through.
23rd February 2009 - 1st March 2009 It's going to take the best part of a month before you feel your usual feisty self so rather than act like the life and soul of the party, rest up when you can and deal with any of those health issues you've been ignoring. And, if a situation simply isn't adding up don't interfere until you have some genuine facts at your disposal. Venus may be in your sign keeping your attention on things of a romantic nature and encouraging you to drop the warrior approach and allow yourself to be wooed and won. Then again, it may not be love that's floating your boat right now but people could be pursuing you for your talents and wisdom.
Being truly appreciated.
2nd March 2009 - 8th March 2009 This is slippery going for the Aries Ram, and not the time to resort to telling little white lies, and certainly not large 'porkies', nor the moment to put your blind trust in other people, unless you have ironclad guarantees. A creative endeavour or a romance could be the focus of these uncertain influences so while paranoia must not be allowed to run rampant you should be aware that all is not quite as it seems. Keep thinking positively and avoid going into combat. On the plus side, you may discover that you have indeed found your soul-mate and truths and feelings can now be shared that will bind you ever closer.
Hidden obstacles.
9th March 2009 - 15th March 2009 Always a bit of a firecracker you need to hold your emotions in check and avoid making impulse moves, regardless of the provocation. It may also be that you're one degree under and far more sensitive to criticism or bent on turning a minor irritation into a full blown drama. There is a lot of uncertainty to cope with and other people may not be easy to deal with but you're more likely to have a happy ending if you keep the doors of communication open and a smile on your face. Venus remains in your sign and her connection to Jupiter mid-week could produce something of a silver lining or a statement of love.
Patience please.
16th March 2009 - 22nd March 2009 The sun's arrival in your sign could not be more timely – your energy, focus and confidence are restored enabling you to cut through any red tape or deal with anything that has represented a blot on the Aries landscape. However, perhaps because you have been preoccupied recently or not quite your foxy self you could have missed an all-important signal and it is this that requires attention. You are resilient but not a super-hero so ignoring a minor health complaint or finding excuses for someone's failure to get back to you is not the way forward. Take the initiative and put yourself in control of your own destiny.
Back in the saddle.
23rd March 2009 - 29th March 2009 You're a very decisive sign: once you've made up your mind, there is no turning back and, more often than not, your courage and ambition take you precisely where you want to go. However, when Pluto is knocking at the door, you need to be sure that the bridges you are burning are the correct ones. If you have considered every angle, taken good advice and spent some time pondering the issues then now is absolutely the time to walk away from the past and head in a radical new direction. And even if a crossroads hasn't appeared just yet, this week's events have the capacity to move you in deep and profound ways.
Earth-moving.
30th March 2009 - 5th April 2009 Never underestimate the power of an apology or the ability to remain loving in a contentious climate. This is an extreme astro-scape – the potential for great and good is equal to that of crisis and conflict – and how you manage events is key to their outcome. Yes, you may be ready to give your all to someone or something – and your commitment will be tested at this time – or you may want to pull the plug on a situation. However, you have to be careful not to act in a high-handed or inconsiderate manner. Not for the first time has there been an aura of karma about what comes at you from left field and what actions from the past you set in motion.
Think carefully.
6th April 2009 - 12th April 2009 Aries is rarely afraid of hard work but you can't keep putting in a whole lot of effort without a reward. Words of praise and lavish gestures of appreciation could be thin on the ground early in the week but if you keep on plugging away the weekend may well see you in the spotlight receiving bouquets. Friday's full moon brings a relationship into the spotlight too but while some celestial Rams will be celebrating their love for a partner others will be considering bringing the curtain down on a three-act drama. Do nothing in haste though – Venus has yet to get back on track so the relationship may well have more life in it than you think.
Partnership.
20th April 2009 - 26th April 2009 With Venus and Mars joined at the hip and heading into Aries, you're getting back your va va voom. However, you'll need to keep a tight rein on
your enthusiasm since Pluto is also in the picture. At best this combo will preside over a week in which you achieve a much desired goal or you
are able to convince someone of your inestimable value. But at worst, you could lose a battle in which you had invested much time and passion.
If the latter is indeed the case, please remind yourself that you have fallen off the pinnacle of your high expectations before, and lived to
tell the tale, as you surely will this time round.
All or nothing.
13th April 2009 - 19th April 2009 Curb your enthusiasm, Aries, because when actions are taken in the heat of the moment you invariably trip up. Yes, you may receive some inspirational wisdom, even so, it will be worth your while thinking through the idea before you launch into open water. Rather more seriously, you run the risk of doing yourself some real damage by rushing to judgement. Wednesday finds you at your most vulnerable to the foot-in-mouth syndrome but throughout the week you should remind yourself that there is more than one way to achieve your ends and a minor setback could ultimately turn out to be a blessing.
Watch your step.
27th April 2009 - 3rd May 2009 Think back to early February, did a turning point for a relationship appear or was some other kind of landmark decision made? This is the third meeting of Venus and Pluto in almost as many months so a tale with many twists and turns is being played out – and the chances are it is a love story. Aries is a passionate, headstrong sign and this planetary duo brings out the best and worst in you so while you could exchange intense and loving feelings with someone if passion channels itself into anger an ego-bruise might be the least of your war wounds. One way or another the week ahead represent a small or large watershed.
Make love not war.
4th May 2009 - 10th May 2009 Mars may be in your sign stirring you ever onward and upward but with Mercury turning retrograde on Thursday you can forget about speed for the time being. Add to this a full moon on the financial axis of your solar chart and the reason for a go-slow may have much to do with the fact that the credit crunch has hit the Aries purse. There may be no way to avoid making a large payment and if you have been stretched to the limit a cut back and certainly a conversation with someone in the financial know is mandatory. By contrast a deal could be on the table and contracts ready to sign. Even so, take your time.
One step forward and two back.
11th May 2009 - 17th May 2009 You have a generous spirit but be a little more careful how you spread your money and your affections around: some people are not worthy of such kindness. If a friend is going through a hard time perhaps your largesse would be better channelled into helping him or her face up to where errors have been made. Likewise, think hard before offering up your services without appropriate remuneration – people rarely value what they haven't paid for. And if there is any mystery surrounding an association or a project don't be in too much of a hurry to set matters to rights – you don't want to trample over the evidence or spoil your chances of success later.
Holding back.
18th May 2009 - 24th May 2009 Pioneering Aries does not appreciate retracing its steps but sometimes in your haste to reach your destination you take too many short cuts with the result that you leave loopholes and fail to make the correct connections. This may well be the scenario you are dealing with this week, whether you have lost essential paperwork or forgotten to respond to an all-important query. And even if you believe you have left nothing undone it will do no harm to go over plans and make sure other people are on the same page. By contrast a sentimental journey can be taken, which could lead to some very beautiful conclusions.
Going back.
25th May 2009 - 31st May 2009 You rarely need encouragement to pursue your goals but you could do with some luck. And it seems this you have in spades at the moment. You may instinctively take the right step or as a result of past efforts you receive a reward. And even if I haven't quite ticked the boxes here, you'll get a lot further this week by allowing the spirit to move you. Combined efforts and shared experiences are another way of reaping the benefit of these influences and if you have a tinge of regret over an action taken or words said this is the perfect moment to make and receive an apology. There's no need to push hard, just go with the flow.
Tuning in.
1st June 2009 - 7th June 2009 Venus may be exiting your sign but she is leaving you a special goodbye-gift. This may manifest as a lucky break, a loving exchange or simply a realization that you have some beautiful things in your life. To add to the joys, an harmonious link between the areas of money and life-direction can only help you on your way to success – it may even give you the opportunity you have been hoping for and working towards for some time. Not that you have everything going your way the entire week... Should you receive some criticism or encounter a set-back, do your best to put a good face on it – no one is perfect, not even you.
Taking the rough with the smooth.
8th June 2009 - 14th June 2009 There's a great deal of activity in the area of finances, which may explain why you're having to dig deep to find funds or you are out spending for the nation. However, for some Arians the prospect of a new job or an increase in salary is the cause of high spirits, and certainly a sigh of relief. This is an excellent week to negotiate a bank loan or to discuss your future with your employers, and while this is not an economic climate in which you can afford to be high-handed you should not underrate your value. And this same theme could also apply to your love life making this a time to invest in the future and expect to receive what you deserve.
Knowing your worth.
15th June 2009 - 21st June 2009 This is no week to do your fearless leader trip – there are far too many potholes along life's highway, particularly of the verbal variety. Think before you say anything that could be misconstrued or likely to alienate someone. Travel too could have its share of little problems and if you meet with an obstruction or a delay, seek alternatives and avoid playing the blame game. Fortunately, Jupiter is in your corner producing a consolation prize, even a happy ending. Indeed, an endeavour you have been trying to get off the ground could receive the thumbs up and if you've been waiting for the right moment to market your talents this is it.
Timing, timing...
22nd June 2009 - 28th June 2009 Half-way through the year and you are at a turning point. Pluto, in the zone of career and life direction, is at his transformational best so, especially if you are a March Ram, either you are making a major move or someone who plays an important role in your life is inspiring big changes. Aries is not the most reflective and cautious of signs so it may be that in your hurry to achieve your ends you have overlooked a potential problem, which has now come back to bite you. On the other hand, if you are enabled to take a mighty step forward and realize a dream, be sure you understand all the deeper implications of what you are taking on.
Big stuff!
29th June 2009 - 5th July 2009 This is one of the year's more trying phases for the celestial Ram. You seem to be coming up against obstacles of all kinds and in the face of criticism or rejection doing your best to assert your usual independence and authority. However, the better option for now would be to put your ego on the back burner and yield to those forces which currently seem stronger than yourself. On the other hand, you could be among that band of Aries warriors who are uprooting themselves, changing jobs or moving home, in which case you are relishing the challenges involved. Growth and prosperity can never be achieved lying back in the sun and watching the clouds roll by.
Tough going.
6th July 2009 - 12th July 2009 This is not the week to put on your cave-man garb and wield your club whenever the urge strikes. Peace and compromise should be your aims, and if you do meet with some serious opposition or an unexpected change of plan consider for a moment whether or not other people have their facts straight and that you are seeing an accurate picture. First and foremost this advice applies to a career or financial matter but since the climate is generally fuzzy and fractious you'd be better expecting a hazard of some description around every corner. On the other hand, if you need to kiss and make up with someone, the experience could be utterly magical.
Seeing pink, not red!
13th July 2009 - 19th July 2009 Developments on the home front are a cause for celebration, and discussions with members of the family or in regard to a property amount to very good news. Aries thrives on fresh starts, and in unorthodox directions when at all possible, so even a minor upset could be part of a new and welcome beginning. But let's not permit a hint of the negative to cloud what looks to be a very positive week. Late June may well have seen an endeavour or an association turn ever so slightly pear-shaped and while these influences may not be enough to right a serious wrong they could deliver a terrific compensation package.
A new opening.
20th July 2009 - 26th July 2009 As the pioneer of the zodiac, what more welcome sign of a new start could there be than a total solar eclipse at the base of your horoscope. Your life foundations are the focus for this eclipse, whether it portends a new member of the family, a move to a fresh location or purely and simply the beginning of a whole other chapter of life. Not that such things will necessarily manifest this week, nor will you be automatically over the moon about them. It may take up to three months before this forecast is fulfilled and it could take even longer for you to realize what a fabulous opportunity you have been offered.
Pioneering moves.
27th July 2009 - 2nd August 2009 Something in your life looks ready for a make-over so if you're not renovating the home or righting a domestic wrong you could be considering whether your commitments are taking where you really want to go. Aries is rarely pushed around - you are, after all, the fearless leader of the zodiac - but you may have got yourself nudged onto a track that isn't best suited to your needs, talents and ambitions. If so, it is time you tackled the issue and sorted out your priorities. If a job, a relationship or a plan is not floating your boat - or worse, causing you sleepless nights - confront the situation and whomever is involved and state your case.
Getting on track.
3rd August 2009 - 9th August 2009 With the sun basking in the creative and pleasure-oriented zone of your solar chart you should be living life to the full. Just how much a lunar eclipse will add to your joys or increase the pressures on your time and energies rather depends, however. Some Arians may be celebrating good news on the work front or revelling in romance while others could be putting a huge amount of effort into a social or business endeavour: whatever the case, do your best not to go into overdrive. Seek balance in all things and you'll end the week on a high note; allow your emotions to get the better of you, and you'll ruin your own party.
Keep your balance.
10th August 2009 - 16th August 2009 Aries is never afraid of hard work but if a project isn't coming together soon enough you lose heart and your energies dissipate. Do your best not to allow this to happen now. Should someone criticise you or your offerings, consider the wisdom therein before reaching for the firearms, and if something collapses like an undercooked soufflĂ', get back in the kitchen. You are not without some good fortune at present but it's more likely to manifest as a result of your efforts and your willingness to adjust yourself to the needs and demands of a certain individual or organization. You've got what it takes, Aries, just trim that ego.
Hard work meets opportunity.
17th August 2009 - 23rd August 2009 Despite being the pioneer of the zodiac you don't like surprises. It's the old control 'thing': the unexpected is great great providing you're the initiator. Which is a way of preparing you for the sudden and the shocking this week. On the one hand, you will need to be more focused when handling sharp instruments and dealing with power sources and, on the other, you should attempt to hold in your emotions should someone's actions cause dismay. This is not to say you won't be on the receiving end of a wonderful gift but just in case things turn out rather differently from your expectations try to remember that it's a wave of change not a tsunami.
Reigning in your emotions.
24th August 2009 - 30th August 2009 This second half of August has been a bit of a minefield for the Aries Ram: you've had to tread carefully in order not to set off a bombshell, and, in some cases, one went off anyway! This week is no different, although what may be buried has been waiting to surface for a long time. And it is good that it finally sees the light of day. If you are going to give someone an ultimatum, think very carefully about the consequences: this is not a climate in which to bait a tiger in the hopes of bringing him to heel. And if you are on the threshold of a major change display courage, confidence and humility.
Gently, my friend...
31st August 2009 - 5th September 2009 Quick thinking is a plus; firing off a round of bullets at the first sign of a challenge is not. And with Mercury aligned with Mars this is just the kind of setting in which you'll jump to conclusions and go on the attack – possibly for no good reason at all. It may be that you cannot go forward as planned and that a problem has forced a delay but this could be in your best interests. Then again, it could be that someone does not share your opinion. Whatever the opposition take your time before making your response and do your best to remember that what seems to be standing in your way can be circumvented – it doesn't have to be bulldozed.
Hold your horses.
6th September 2009 - 13th September 2009 It's difficult to say anything negative about a week that has Venus and Jupiter in cahoots but with Mercury turning retrograde (7th) and Pluto moving direct (11th) something could emerge out of the woodwork now that brings a halt to your movements, albeit for a short and purposeful time. It may be that you need bureaucratic approval for a personal or professional endeavour or perhaps an anticipated date for the start of a job or special occasion has to be put back but whatever the red flag you have more than enough going for you at present to compensate for any disappointment. Indeed, the weekend could find you on a romantic high.
Taking it in your stride.
14th September 2009 - 20th September 2009 Even the Aries warrior who thrives on challenge could be daunted by this week's astro-scape. Events of many moons ago lie at the root of any major developments so although it may seem as though you have run into an obstacle of someone else's making somewhere down the line you've had a part to play. Ideally, you should lie low, avoiding those people who are guaranteed to make life difficult, but since no one lives in an ideal world simply take things slowly, whether you are the one in the driver's seat or responding to situations that were not on your wish list. And if life could not be brighter, keep that little warm glow all to yourself.
Step by step.
21st September 2009 - 27th September 2009 A month from now Saturn will arrive in the relationship sector of your horoscope, all set to help you sift the good from the bad and the ugly where love and partnership are concerned. And this week's volcanic influences in the same area could provide something of an appetizer. You rarely need encouragement to get out of a commitment that is clipping your wings and making you generally miserable but there is a chance you do not realize that someone is deliberately undermining you. Pluto now reveals what has been hidden, whether this necessitates the severance of a business or romantic link or inspires a powerful new alliance and a brand new start.
Knowledge is power.
28th September 2009 - 4th October 2009 You only get one full moon in your sign each year and this is it. As you see that moon in all its luminous glory remind yourself that it is time to complete a process. Your emotions will be running at full tilt over the weekend, in some cases because you have reached the point where you're ready to commit yourself to a long-term relationship and in others because you are poised to end a commitment; on the other hand, you may simply be feeling intensely moved by events. There could have been some uncertainty over your future recently but during the next seven days you acquire clarity and a degree of serenity.
The fullness of time.
5th October 2009 - 11th October 2009 Actions have consequences. Now, where have you heard that before! Almost always when Uranus or Pluto are in the mix,
which is the case this week. First and foremost, do not allow emotions to get in the way of diplomacy and common sense:
even if you are less than pleased with developments, by taking the heat out of the situation you will see more options,
even some advantages. What may come as a surprise to you has been incubating in someone else's mind for a while so it may
help to look back to the events of late August and early September. And if you're delighted at current developments, know
that you have more than earned them.
Reaping and sowing.
12th October 2009 - 18th October 2009 You can forget all about unilateral actions and fulfilling your own desires and needs, other people play a mighty big role in your affairs for the next couple of weeks. For starters, Venus, the planet of love, arrives in the area of relating (14th) and immediately angles Pluto, bringing to the fore suppressed feelings and creating an atmosphere in which all or nothing actions are taken. This could be the moment you commit yourself to someone or something, in the process changing a part of your existence; on the other hand, events in a partner's life or that of an individual to whom you are close could affect you profoundly. All for the good, I hasten to say.
Powerful times.
19th October 2009 - 25th October 2009 People have good news to share with you and offers to place on the table, and, if you have been on poor terms with someone, the planetary team are building a bridge to bring you back together. You are a very independent and assertive sign but during October you will come to see how important other people are to your success and happiness. In an ideal world you'd be signing agreements and putting in place structures that will support your emotional, financial and professional interests, and with Saturn poised to enter the zone of relationships in a matter of days, don't miss this opportunity to get people firmly on your side.
Communion.
26th October 2009 - 1st November 2009 This week may not figure in your diary as special but from an astrological point of view it is mega important. On Thursday, Saturn enters the seventh house of partnership for a two and a half year sojourn. During this time you will experience all you ever wanted to know and more about love and relationships: it will be a time to end inappropriate liaisons and to make lasting bonds with someone who is right for you – right for who you are at this stage of your life. And in between these two extremes come all manner of lessons about other people and their impact on your life. Even this week you may come to understand precisely what I mean.
A new era begins.
2nd November 2009 - 8th November 2009 Do not allow the pressure to get to you. You're either doing too much, not sleeping enough or fretting about a situation that is as yet resistant to a solution. Once you have acquired some space both in real and emotional terms everything will be easier, and you'll be able to see your way forward. This is a particularly challenging time for finances: while you can make money you can also spend it, and some Arians are counting the cost of an unwise investment or splurge. As soon as Venus enters the zone of financial resources and shared commitments (8th) other people will be more generous and supportive.
Time out.
9th November 2009 - 15th November 2009 Watch your P's and Q's this week: Saturn and Pluto are a formidable double act whether they are presenting you with road blocks or paying you back for transgressions past! Plus, you may not be able to spot the landmine lying under the surface appearance of situations. There is a good side to these influences, which may well reveal itself in the settling of an old score or the joining of hands in a professional or romantic relationship. Nonetheless, you will still need to tread very carefully and remember that not everyone is as open and ingenuous as you are: some people have hidden agendas and a set of very sharp teeth behind their smiles.
Baby steps.
