The Following Week Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
27th January 2003 - 2nd February 2003 Appearances could be highly deceptive now. Renowned for your caution it is unlikely that you will take an unnecessary financial or emotional risk but even you could be misled by a glowing recommendation or the word of someone you trust. Now, I’m not attempting to raise your paranoia levels but I am encouraging you to seek a second opinion and to look into the background of an individual or a company. What you also need to acquire is distance and perspective: allowing your emotions to colour your decision-making could prove detrimental in the long run. Also, if others are full of doubts or nurturing great expectations, help keep their feet on the ground.
3rd February 2003 - 9th February 2003 There is always something sweet about a Venus transit of the area of relationships. You can repair trust that has been broken and you can build new and stronger bonds, for both personal and professional purposes. Indeed, on the 4th when Venus enters Capricorn, the curtain goes up on a four-week period when people prove just how loyal and useful they can be to you. This month long period is also one when love affairs blossom and established relationships regain their romance. I might not go so far as to say you’ve never had it so good but I would suggest that you no are no longer on your own: there are people out there who will support you and promote your interests.
20th January 2003 - 26th January 2003 Work and money are the two areas of your chart under focus at present. This therefore is a time when you should put career and finance first and almost everything else second. As you may know you are not ecstatic about change and confrontation however sometimes this is the only way forward. Thus, rather than making a detour around a problem you should now deal with it forcefully and directly. Someone may have been behaving in a manipulative and underhand fashion in order to further his/her own progress; on the other hand you may have been waiting for information: whatever the actual scenario light will be shed on the matter this week.
13th January 2003 - 19th January 2003 This year's only full moon in your sign occurs on the 18th so any issue that arises or event that takes place at this time carries far greater implications than you might think at first. This is certainly a period when relationships are in the spotlight and other people have a stronger influence on your affairs. Since the theme of all full moons is closure and completion the time may well have arrived to take your vows or sign a long-term contract with an individual or organization. However, if a relationship has been in deep trouble for some time the theme of closure and completion may well signify a parting of the ways. Be open to discussion and prepared to let go.
10th February 2003 - 16th February 2003 There is now a cluster of planets in one of the most complex areas of your solar chart - that of emotional and financial exchange. Thus, you need to look way beneath the surface appearance of situations and to take the past into consideration. The ball is in other people’s court at the moment, which does not mean you have no say in the outcome of any one issue but it does imply that you should wait until partners, employers and organizations have revealed their position before you offer up yours! It may be that Neptune will preside over a period that is pure magic but while one aspect of your life could be just that, elsewhere there are gremlins and glitches.
17th February 2003 - 23rd February 2003 The best piece of advice I can offer you with these alignments is: if you don’t know what to do, do nothing. Far better that you gain time and distance than you make an unsatisfactory move under duress. The combination of sun-Uranus (17th) and Mars-Saturn (20th) is akin to trying to drive a car with the accelerator down and the hand-brake on - clouds of dust is about all you’ll see for your efforts. On the plus side, there are signs of a break-through but on the minus side a hard decision or a disappointing result could be on the cards. Most people are encountering trying times right now and there is much to be gained by sharing the load and pooling resources. Blame is not an option.
24th February 2003 - 2nd March 2003 This astrological climate is far more suited to the Cancerian temperament - people will be available to you and you will be able to reach your objectives in a calm and controlled manner. And, in light of last week’s volatile alignments you may want to go over some old ground once more in order to achieve a more balanced result. This is an especially favourable week for health matters and for work and finances. And with Thursday’s moon-Venus conjunction in the area of relationships it could also prove to be a time when romance takes a serious upturn. Decisions made now should prove durable, workable and mutually beneficial.
3rd March 2003 - 9th March 2003 Venus may have left the area of relationships/ Venus leaves the area of relationships on the 2nd but Mars follows closely on her heels (4th), therefore this continues to be a time when other people have the power to affect your plans, if not a lot more besides. The next few weeks contain many astrological power points, several of them in the area of far horizons, thus you may find in tandem that your life changes because of a long-distance association or through an overseas event. You may prefer to keep close to home, surrounded by familiar faces, but by crossing frontiers and expanding your field of experience you will make untold gains.
10th March 2003 - 16th March 2003 Cancerians do not like confrontation. You prefer to remain on the side-lines until you know precisely what’s what but when faced with a challenge you put up a superb defence. However, resistance is probably not your best policy this week: what is advised instead is friendly negotiation with a view to changes. The old ways are not always the best ways and even though the unknown can be scary you should gain courage from the understanding that there can be no growth without change. Whatever happens during this mid-to-late Match period has been in brewing for some time and in your heart of hearts you may sense that it is all for the best.
5th May 2003 - 11th May 2003 There is nothing meek and mild about these influences - you’re either on the crest of a wave or fighting against a powerful current. And money or your self-worth look to be at the centre of any furore. These aspects are entirely in keeping with making a large purchase or investing in a property; they could also be coincident with an unexpected drain on your bank account or an extravagant romantic gesture. You are not the type to risk your heart or your savings on impulse - indeed, you have let more than one boat of opportunity sail out of port! - but on this occasion you should go with your heart rather than your head.
17th March 2003 - 23rd March 2003 Full moons complete a cycle and on this occasion (18th) this theme applies to agreements, understandings and long-distance connections. It may be that during the course of the coming week you will reach the end of a study course, sign a contract or say goodbye to a person or an organization, which, although an emotional experience, is nonetheless appropriate for now. And since ground-breaking Uranus entered this same area of the horoscope on the 10th all the signs are that you are beginning a period of your life which will open many doors for you - and in some totally unexpected ways. The best is yet to come.
24th March 2003 - 30th March 2003 It is a delicious treat when angles of harmony triumph over the chorus of discord so do not waste these influences and put off ‘til tomorrow what you can do today! You could just sit back and wait to see what the coming week produces in the way of happy events and lucky breaks but if you are keen to get an endeavour off the ground or pursue a personal interest there is no better time. The period between the 27th and 31st looks to be the most event-packed and while there is a chance of a sudden change of plan or an unexpected move on someone else’s part, impulse decisions and innovative ideas will make your world an infinitely bigger and better place.
31st March 2003 - 6th April 2003 By the end of April you should have accomplished at least one major objective. And if you are still waiting and wondering the stars cannot take all the blame! Tuesday’s new moon in the area of life-direction is a sign of new things to come, first and foremost in regard to your career. New moons in the pioneering sign of Aries help you to make courageous decisions and they also encourage you to step into the spotlight. Cancerians are usually cautious, self-deprecating creatures but holding back is a pointless exercise now. You need to seize the moment, whether this implies revealing your abilities or promoting your ideas and plans.
7th April 2003 - 13th April 2003 This is not the easiest of astro-scapes to interpret. On one side of your chart all looks well, if not absolutely blooming, while elsewhere there are red lights flashing. What I suspect is happening is that the long-term picture is good but you have a problem to solve in the near term. Or, while one situation is making you happy another is giving you some anxious moments. The problem could well be financial or linked to an overseas source and you would be advised to go back some way in order to discover the reasons and the remedy. Indeed, with so much Pluto in the frame, history could play a big part in more than one situation now - that and issues emerging from the darkness into the light.
14th April 2003 - 20th April 2003 As the sign most receptive to the lunar cycle the full moon of the 16th could help you take a major step in the right direction. This full moon highlights the life-direction axis of your horoscope so any development linked to your career or domestic circumstances will have long term repercussions. And in general this is a period when you should be thinking long and hard about your future and those things that are precious to you. Thanks to Mars in the area of relationships partners or other people may well be exerting pressure on you but there is a fine line between encouragement and bullying. Keep your own counsel and only make a move when it feels right for you.
21st April 2003 - 27th April 2003 On the 21st Venus reaches the Mid-heaven of your solar chart from where she can shine beatifically on your labours. Between now and mid-May is one of the best periods this year for career matters in particular and your ambitions in general. Thus, if you have been frustrated in your efforts to succeed, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go market your assets! From this position Venus often brings people of power and influence into your life and she certainly provides you with opportunities to impress. This planet will also bring to the fore the importance of love. And with Mercury turning retrograde on the 26th it could be that an old love returns or that you are able to heal an old wound.
28th April 2003 - 4th May 2003 This is a very encouraging astro-scape. Venus is in a position to help you achieve a long-term goal and she will also make people appreciative of your talents and personality. By the 29th Jupiter will add to the mix urging you to make a move that will expand your life in some regard. This could be particularly good news for your bank account or your emotions. Jupiter is currently in the area of self-worth and it is aspects such as these that activate your potential to make money, increase your sense of security and find emotional fulfilment. Is there a down-side? Well, there is a chance that your desires are blinding you to reality but then you’re far too smart to let that happen, aren’t you!
12th May 2003 - 18th May 2003 Full moons make you more sensitive and dreamy but when they are eclipsed they have three times the capacity to super-charge your feelings. Thus, especially around the 16th you may need to keep reminding yourself that once your emotions have settled down the situation may look somewhat different. Friday’s lunar eclipse highlights the creative axis of your solar chart and signals the end of a gestation period. There are many ways in which a gestation period can be completed - a love affair might be ready to move onto a more permanent level or a plan may be ready to leave the drawing board - but what you should not lose sight of is that an ending always precedes a beginning.
19th May 2003 - 25th May 2003 You are not a great lover of change but this is a week when the unusual, the innovative and the down right different proliferate. Uranus has been influencing the area of far horizons since March so it may yet be too early to see quite how your world can open up. However, especially if you have a June birthday this latter part of May and early June could prove to be a time when you travel to new and possibly far away places or you are
exposed to a remarkable experience. With this in mind be open to unscheduled events and do not expect other people to act as you anticipate. Fireworks of one sort or another look to be on the menu.
26th May 2003 - 1st June 2003 This is one of the more mysterious periods of the year. Now, it may be that you love unravelling a mystery and, indeed, creating one yourself, but you probably do not enjoy people keeping you in the dark when it is they who are gaining the advantage. With this in mind, if you sense that an individual or an organization is not putting you in the picture, you should withdraw from the situation. Once the solar eclipse of the 31st has taken place more of the picture will be revealed and you will be in a stronger position all round. Not that this week is all mist and smoke-screens; there could instead be an event of pure magic.
2nd June 2003 - 8th June 2003 Saturn proudly returns to your sign on the 4th, after an absence of twenty-nine years. Thus, you are at the beginning of what promises to be a seminal two years. Between now and July 2005, you will take on greater responsibilities and discover what you’re made of. This may sound somewhat daunting but if you are to achieve your dreams and fulfil your talents, you have to be prepared to go the distance. And for some Cancerians such an opportunity may arise before mid-June. Whether life offers you bouquets now or shows you where you’ve reached a dead end, trust your instincts and do not compromise your integrity or your standards.
9th June 2003 - 15th June 2003 As one of the more cautious and conservative signs of the zodiac you probably don’t need me to urge you to be careful with people and possessions. Nevertheless, you may have so much on your plate at the moment that you could fail to spot an anomaly. Under these influences light is shed on the darkness, and while this may help you to realize the true nature of your feelings or the reality of a situation, what comes to light could alter your prospects considerably. This is far from an easy astro-scape; then again when the truly important things of life happen, they almost always do so under alignments such as these.
16th June 2003 - 22nd June 2003 The week starts well with the entry of dynamic Mars into the ninth house of far horizons, then on Saturday the sun arrives in Cancer, all set to lead you out of the woods and certainly give you back your sense of purpose and direction. And with the sun moving ever more purposefully toward Saturn you may be glad you are back once more in the driver’s seat. Make the most of this week’s happy and encouraging stars - indeed, this is the perfect time to head away from home and set your sights on more ambitious and far flung targets - but if you sense that someone or something is not all well, deal with the situation pronto.
23rd June 2003 - 29th June 2003 On the 24th the first sun-Saturn conjunction of this two-year cycle takes place so, especially if you have a June birthday, you are on the threshold of a year of great opportunity - and certainly a set of character-building events! And whenever your birthday the week of the 23rd looks to be a seminal one. You could be going far at this time, whether you are travelling or expanding your emotional, professional or financial horizons; on the other hand, you may feel that events are moving too fast and you are being forced to make big decisions under duress. Let the 29th’s new moon in Cancer show you the way forward.
30th June 2003 - 6th July 2003 You are going through what can only be described as a rite of passage: on Tuesday Mercury follows the sun and conjoins with Saturn, and in a week’s time Venus will repeat the process. Saturn is always a salutary experience, though rarely a joyful one, so this mid-year period is bound to be one of realizations and restorations. At this time you need to sift the wheat from the chaff, shed emotional attachments and reorient yourself. And since revolutionary Uranus is also playing a prominent role it is also appropriate to take on board radical new ideas. Whether you are enjoying the ride on this new wave or wobbling on your surf-board, fear is the one factor that will tip you over.
7th July 2003 - 13th July 2003 You are in one of the more important phases of your year. Venus and Mercury now connect with Saturn in your sign turning a dream into reality or enabling you to differentiate what is real from what is imagined. And this is especially so if your birthday falls around the 21st June. Whenever your birthday, however, relationships are centre stage and it seems to be decision time. Whether you are ready to make a binding and loving commitment or poised to cut the ties that bind have no doubts about the choice you are making. It is in your heart and in the stars.
14th July 2003 - 20th July 2003 The second half of July is a lot sweeter and calmer than the first, so if you are about to take a seasonal break or getting prepared for the social event of the year, you can look forward to a thoroughly good time. If I have a gripe at all with the next seven days it is the approach of a Mercury-Neptune conjunction, which although spiritually and artistically elevating can lead to misunderstandings and confusion. You can do much to mitigate these latter effects by checking that certain people have received the information from you and that you are in receipt of all the necessary facts and figures. You want sweet dreams not waking nightmares!
21st July 2003 - 27th July 2003 Since Saturn entered your sign in early June you may not have had much time for fun and high hopes but there is a sea-change in the astrology now. There could be some positive developments on the financial front this week or some other kind of ego-boost could be on its way, and there is a clear relationship between positive thinking and successful outcomes. An emotional or financial investment made between now and the 27th could yield rich results and in general the more you put into events and commitments, the more you’ll get out. Set yourself into high expectancy mode - these stars should not disappoint!
28th July 2003 - 3rd August 2003 On the 29th the lovely Venus enters the financial sector of your horoscope with the intention of bringing you some monetary improvements between now and the end of the month. Therefore, be courageous with your investments and expect to receive what you know you deserve! At the same time there is considerable activity in the area of travel and communications, all of which adds up to a time when your window on the world opens up, whether in the sense of new people and new places or fresh personal/professional opportunities. You will not be able to predict the events of the near future - life is full of surprises.
4th August 2003 - 10th August 2003 In order not to send your emotions on a roller-coaster ride, adopt and wait-and-see policy regarding offers and arrangements. Whenever Neptune takes a strong position, facts become hard to establish and all sorts of people appear to be in the grip of a spin-fest. You may also need to keep a closer eye on money and possessions. But, once you have ensured that those things you are currently concerned about are watertight and in safe hands you can enjoy the rather magical effects of these influences. I guess it’s a case of separating reality from fantasy, and not allowing yourself to become attached to specific outcomes.
11th August 2003 - 17th August 2003 Mars in the ninth house of far horizon links harmoniously with Saturn in your sign. On the one hand this helps you set a plan in concrete and on the other shows you what you can realistically expect from your efforts. In some cases, there is a financial aspect to the week’s developments, so that this becomes a period in which to sign long-term agreements and to make major investments. However, with Mercury and Pluto also in the picture there is bound to be some tough talking and some profound emotional exchanges involved. Take a deep breath: it’s under stars like these that you take mighty steps.
18th August 2003 - 24th August 2003 One thing you can say about this week’s astrology - it’s different! On the one hand Jupiter is encouraging high hopes and increasing your sense of self-worth while on the other Uranus is playing havoc with your routine and your sense of reality. Well, of course, these trends are fine if you’re on holiday or able to absent yourself from every day life but otherwise you’re going to have to hold people and situations in a very loose grasp. Expecting the unexpected should be your motto for now, and with a little bit of luck and a lot of good faith you may find yourself with a winning ticket and a lot more than you bargained for.
25th August 2003 - 31st August 2003 This week is all about communication - how you go, where you go and the written and spoken word. To a major extent the ball is in your court, which means it is up to you to make the moves, and with Mercury poised to turn retrograde on the 28th it may be a case of stepping backwards before you can go forward! Jupiter’s transit of the area of travel and communications for the next twelve months will expand your worldview, whether in the sense of knowledge and experience or through journeys and connections with people and organizations overseas. And for many Cancerians this theme will begin to play before the 7th September.
1st September 2003 - 7th September 2003 There is nothing weak and feeble about this week’s astro-scape, so while you could choose this moment to tackle a big issue it may be that events beyond your control change some aspect of your worldview, if only an opinion or two! Once again travel and communications are in the frame, and even the shortest journey or mildest of exchanges has the capacity to make a big impact on you. With this in mind, be honest and clear in your statements and intentions - and be aware that other people could have secret agendas. Used in the right way these alignments could really take you places: used the wrong way, your actions could back fire on you.
8th September 2003 - 14th September 2003 The plus point to challenging alignments like these is that they get things moving and shaking, and if you have been avoiding facing the music or putting off a task until you feel ready for it, that time has come. The area of travel and communications bears the brunt of this week’s planetary brouhaha, so if you are taking a journey, go with contingency plans and your yoga mat! And by the same token if someone presents you with some unpalatable information, make a graceful exit and allow the dust to settle before reaching a final verdict. Mercury will turn direct on the 20th so there is still room for re-thinks and changes of heart.
15th September 2003 - 21st September 2003 Thanks to Mercury’s retrograde motion the past few weeks may have taken you over some old ground and made even the simplest communication tedious and time-consuming. But this trend draws to an end now and from the 20th you should be able to move onward and upward at the speed of knots. However, there is still some serious mileage in taking things slowly until then and in looking deep into the past for the origins of current situations. It is possible that you have unconsciously brought about certain events in order to open up a new avenue of some description; on the other hand, it may be that you have been avoiding making a big change and it can now be resisted no longer.
22nd September 2003 - 28th September 2003 At the time of the autumn equinox (23rd) the sun reaches the base of your solar chart, thereby replenishing the roots of life, both in terms of the home base and the foundations of your future. For many Cancerians, especially those with late June and early July birthdays, this is a fortnight of major developments. It should become clear where your priorities lie and what needs to happen in order for you to find the security, stability and fulfillment that you seek. In many ways this is a rewarding week because you know at last where you stand but if you feel less than pleased with events, perhaps you should consider the possibility that you have been focusing your efforts on unworthy targets and the real thing is right under your nose.
29th September 2003 - 5th October 2003 Property and domestic matters could benefit greatly from this week’s encouraging influences. This could prove an excellent time to put a property on the market or to purchase one, and financial negotiations should lead to a more secure and stable pattern for you. The only fly in the ointment is the approaching sun-Saturn connection (6th), which may well bring you down to earth with a bump. Especially if you have an early July birthday October is a month of realities and reckonings so if you already sense that a decision is not going to be in your favour or you have been avoiding making a cut-back of any description, now would be the moment to implement those contingency plans.
6th October 2003 - 12th October 2003
It may be tempting to allow your emotions to run away with you but you should resist temptation,
especially on the 6th and 10th. The astrology calls for rational thinking and long-term views. Perhaps
you have hit a stumbling block, but this is all it is - just a development to negotiate along the path
to success and fulfilment. On the other hand, you may find that you now experience a solid success, one
that adds to your reputation and puts an ultimate goal firmly in your sights. This first half of October
is a period of realities and reckonings: not for the first time you are being urged to see the glass
half full, not half empty.
13th October 2003 - 19th October 2003 You get another taste of Saturn this week, which doesn’t mean another dose of the blues but a reality check. At the moment, planets at the base of your chart are bringing to the fore issues related to the home and family, although for some Cancerians developments linked to your career and life-direction are taking precedence. However, in whatever way you are being shown that you need to do some more homework, do it with joy in your heart, not in a frenzy of resentment! Slow and sure progress can be made now, even if it does seem to be a case of one obstacle after another. And if you see a huge task in front of you, take it one step at a time - remember that old adagethe journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
20th October 2003 - 26th October 2003 The sun's entry into your fellow water sign, Scorpio, on the 23rd begins a six-week season of improvements and benefits. Saturn has proved to be a hard taskmaster for the June birthdays in particular but now you should start to see the positive side of this planet, and the purpose of any past delays or upsets. Your star is beginning to rise so you should lose no time in flaunting your assets, and power-steering plans and projects from the drawing board into reality! This is not the moment to hide behind that shell of yours but to have faith and confidence in your talents and your being. It's time to hustle and hassle.
27th October 2003 - 2nd November 2003 There is an edgy feel to this week’s stars. For no apparent reason you may start to feel concern about a situation or you may suspect deep dark goings-on behind a minor change of heart. I would suggest that your fears and doubts are exaggerated and that there is no basis of truth to a rumour but this is a climate in which people do the strangest of things, sometimes with no useful purpose. Try to put some distance between yourself and the object of your concerns, while creating a safety cushion should your feelings prove founded. And especially over the weekend, don’t push through any red lights or expect everyone to stick to the plan.
3rd November 2003 - 9th November 2003 Making sense of events this week could prove somewhat of a challenge. On the plus side, the 9th’s lunar eclipse augurs the happy conclusion to a long-standing matter but on the minus side an endeavour may turn out to be so full of holes that it may not be possible to proceed as planned. The creative axis of your solar chart is centre stage now, so an offspring could be the source of great and good news or a younger person could prove to be a major catalyst of change. Certainly, your ideas of how the next couple of weeks will unfold is likely to be very different from their reality. This may not be an especially easy time but it has many rewards.
10th November 2003 - 16th November 2003 You may not be sparking on all four cylinders until mid-week so avoid those people who and those situations that invariably press your buttons. Aside from gremlins in communications systems, other people could be changing their minds and making the most unexpected decisions, and since you are a sign who trusts the safe and the familiar I am going to urge you to be prepared to change your course mid-stream. Wednesday through Friday puts the moon in your sign, empowering you and encouraging you to express your ideas and feelings. Indeed, what seemed so unwelcome earlier in the week could turn out to be entirely fortuitous.
17th November 2003 - 23rd November 2003 New moons are signs of fresh growth but when they are eclipsed any new developments tend to be spectacular. The area of work and lifestyle is in the frame so signs of the new are going to apply first and foremost to your job, financial responsibilities and your routine. However, while the prospect of expansion is an encouraging one, there are other astrological factors that suggest something first has to go before the new can take root. Saying goodbye to the past is always a challenge for Cancer but you should do so willingly and joyfully at this time. As all good gardeners know, plants that are severely pruned produce the best blooms in the future.
24th November 2003 - 30th November 2003 One way of describing this late November astro-scape would be a night sea crossing. It’s not much fun and a safe harbour may not be in sight but at least you have your navigation equipment working! Patience and trust are needed at this time, also a willingness to let go of some ballast that you no longer need. The area of work looks to be top of the list for any big developments and for some Cancerians this is an appropriate moment to leave an organization. Nevertheless, whatever the source of this week’s earth-moving moments, the more adaptable and philosophical you can be the better.
1st December 2003 - 7th December 2003 On the 2nd Mercury heads into the relationship zone thereby treading in the footsteps of Venus. Translated this means that what Venus has inspired in the way of new romantic interests can now be taken a step further. Mercury promotes meetings and discussions and while you may be the one to initiate contact it is more likely that other people will be approaching you with offers and ideas. The last week of November was stormy to say the least and next week also has its share of ups and downs, therefore you should use these calm and constructive influences to set an arrangement in stone and/or deal with any uncertainties.
8th December 2003 - 14th December 2003 Construction and constriction are two sides of the same Saturnian coin - something you may come to understand fully during the next few days. On the one hand, developments between the 8th and 14th will help you make solid and lasting progress but on the other you may find certain restraints developing on your time and energies. You may also discover just how supportive people can be or just how much they can stand in the way of your success and happiness. In a nutshell this is an enlightening and realistic period: it is one when you can set a situation on firm ground or a time when you can set aside something that has served its purpose.
15th December 2003 - 21st December 2003 On the 16th Mars heads into the area of ambitions and life-direction giving you an energy boost and helping you scale the pinnacles of success. But why would you want to do that when everyone else is in holiday mode? Well, our stars do not conform our earthly schedule - they have an agenda all of their own - and even with Christmas parties and the gathering of the clans, you may still have news of a forthcoming promotion or a plan could finally make it off the drawing board. Into the mix, however, we have to add little Mercury, who somewhat perversely turns on its heel on the 17th, thereby clogging up the pipelines of communication. Ah shucks!
22nd December 2003 - 28th December 2003 On the 22nd the sun enters the area of love and relating, so any thoughts of a quiet Christmas should be placed on ice. People play in big part in your happiness during the festivities and this year you should place a greater emphasis on what others can do for you, rather than what you must do for them. The new moon of the 23rd sets in motion a new cycle for relationships in general and for some Cancerians the arrival of someone new in your life could prove to be the reason this New Year is the best for a decade or so. Love, peace and joy are all in your stars at this time - don’t be too preoccupied or cautious to notice them.
29th December 2003 - 4th January 2004 There’s nothing wrong with planning a riotous set of New Year’s celebrations, it’s just that Saturn may have other ideas. With this planet centre stage between the 29th and 7th there is a serious edge to life and you may feel that you want to spend some quiet time with those you love. Especially if you have an end-June/early July birthday there could be some important decisions to make, first and foremost in regard to a relationship. On the other hand, you could be feeling your years and wishing that some of the responsibilities on your shoulders would lessen. Whatever Saturn brings in the way of understandings, do not allow that glass to look half empty: it’s half full. OK!
5th January 2004 - 11th January 2004 On the 7th the full moon in your sign enlightens and empowers you so, if you have been avoiding anyone or anything, this is the moment to take the bull by the horns. It may also prove to be the moment that someone else makes a key decision. That this full moon cuts across the relationship axis of your solar chart indicates, on the one hand, a time to marry or make a binding agreement and, on the other, a time to accept that a relationship is over. Cancer always experiences difficulty in letting go but on this occasion, with Jupiter lending a beneficial hand, it seems that even you will understand that any change in a relationship status quo is for the absolute best.
12th January 2004 - 18th January 2004 Half-way through January and already the cosmos is changing its tune - and seemingly in a highly positive way. On the 14th Mercury arrives in the area of love and relating, thereby encouraging partners in particular and other people in general to come to the table for talks. You rarely show your hand before others have revealed theirs but if you experience the slightest temptation to spill the beans or make some kind of overture, hold back. There is a surprise element to deal with at present and while this may introduce you to some brand new faces and places, it could also upset the applecart in a business or romantic relationship.
19th January 2004 - 25th January 2004 January’s stars have been largely coloured by task-master, Saturn but once past the 22nd life should become lighter and brighter. This week, other people are once again the catalysts of change and responsibility so you must be prepared to accommodate others’ needs and feelings, and expect no free hand-outs. Nonetheless, even Saturn could reveal his sunnier side by consolidating agreements and producing the financial backing for purchases and business ventures. In this regard the new moon of the 21st could prove instrumental in setting a new financial order in motion and speeding up the process of negotiation.
26th January 2004 - 1st February 2004 This should be an up-tempo seven days. Venus in the area of far horizons hooks up to Jupiter, setting the stage for some positive news and for meeting and mixing with people who make you feel good. Pluto represents the only blot on the landscape and even this planet could do much to remove an obstacle or eliminate doubts and uncertainties. Pluto is currently transiting the work zone so some of this week’s key events could centre on associates, employers and colleagues. On the other hand, rumours that have been flying around the work place or in regard to a business/financial commitment may now prove entirely founded.
2nd February 2004 - 8th February 2004 Money - or the lack of it - brings out the best and worst in people, a factor you are likely to become acutely aware of during the coming weeks. While you can manage your own money with equanimity, joint finances are fraught with complications. At this time other people may feel that their needs take priority and if you are dealing with organizations the ball is going to be in their court. Therefore, it will be to your advantage to be accommodating and acquiescent. The full moon of the 6th could preside over the completion of a transaction or the acquisition of a settlement; on the other hand it could point to the end of a financial, professional or romantic commitment.
9th February 2004 - 15th February 2004 Venus’s transit of your tenth solar house augurs a promising four weeks, especially for your career or your long-term goals. The powers-that-be could finally recognize your gifts and there could be promotions and other welcome developments. However, when Venus squares up to Saturn in your sign (14th), her less warm and wonderful side tends to be revealed. While you may be able to set a commitment in cement, so to speak, the joy of doing so may be eclipsed by the legal and financial aspects to it all. Set realistic targets and keep your expectations on the low side, then when your dreams are fulfilled, you’ll be truly thrilled.
16th February 2004 - 22nd February 2004 The best way to use these stars is to travel into untrammeled territory - something the cautious Crab does with great trepidation. However, not for the first time has it been pointed out that without change there can be no growth so even if you are reluctant to stray from the tried and tested route, by taking a new path now your existence will be enriched. At this time you may visit a new place, meet someone who is highly unusual or you may receive some totally unexpected news. On the other hand, someone may take an action that threatens to upend a previously stable, long-standing situation. In whatever way life changes now, be both accepting and hopeful.
23rd February 2004 - 29th February 2004 This looks to be one of the more exciting and expansive periods of the year, and you should take full advantage of any opportunities to travel and to add to your bank of knowledge and experience. Indeed, while stability and security are essentials for Cancer there are times when a journey into unfamiliar territory does more for you than any amount of playing it safe. The only proviso on this occasion is Neptune - a planet whose mysterious ways can lead you astray. Be especially careful when signing agreements or making a major financial move but in most other regards let your heart, your hopes and your imagination take wing.
1st March 2004 - 7th March 2004 Robert Louis Stevenson said:it is better to travel hopefully than to arrive - a sentiment entirely in keeping with this week’s astro-scape. The travel and communications axis of your horoscope is the setting for some of the most expansive influences of the year so far - perfect for making a journey of majestic proportions and for taking a step that will lead to great things. However, what counts is not so much the end result but what happens along the way! In other words, whatever the events of the next seven days it is your attitude towards them and your experience of them that matters.
8th March 2004 - 14th March 2004 Planets in the ninth house of the horoscope are encouraging you to explore new territory, both in the sense of travel and in regard to your private and professional life. But you know what you’re like when it comes to leaving the safe and familiar for the unknown - very reluctant. With this in mind events may now conspire to get you moving in a new direction. Hopefully, you will be happy with the way a new route comes about but in case you feel that the rug has been pulled from beneath you, do your best to see it as a necessary ‘evil’. You won’t be the only one to have your eyes opened this week - be adaptable and expedient.
15th March 2004 - 21st March 2004 People and places far away dominate the Cancerian agenda, so too do plans for the future. In some ways, this is a very go-ahead week yet it seems some baggage must be shed before you can truly take off. And while this may literally translate as travelling light, you may find that trimming your schedule, your budget and a commitment helps you gain ground in your career or personal life. The 15th could turn out to be decision-day, especially for late June birthdays, and in general events around this time urge you to see the reality of a situation and to embrace the philosophy of non-attachment.
22nd March 2004 - 28th March 2004 While ground-breaking Uranus is at an easy and welcoming angle to your sun, Saturn is in your sign and proving to be a hard task-master. These two planets are currently vying for ascendancy so, during the coming week, you may find that after a painful episode you are free to move into new territory. And this theme could apply first and foremost to your job or your role in life. 26th June birthdays are front of the queue when it comes to events that add to your stature and reputation, and also top of the list where hard lessons are concerned. And whenever your birthday, this is an eventful and somewhat changeful period of 2004.
29th March 2004 - 4th April 2004 Well, you can take off your protection suit and come out from behind your battlements, Saturn has retreated into the distance for the time being and you can start to make some real progress. There are encouraging influences around finances and collaborations, helping you to put a business or private endeavour on the right track and giving you an opportunity to enjoy events of both the professional and personal variety. Indeed, this is an ideal time to mix business with pleasure and to recognize the value and importance of surrounding yourself with creative and like-minded people. Over the weekend, an intuitive move gets you where you want to be.
5th April 2004 - 11th April 2004 You may not think of yourself as an ambitious person, but you are certainly in a go-getting, achievement-oriented phase, therefore you should have no qualms about declaring your passion and revealing your commitment to a cause or an individual now. There is indeed an aura of extremes about this fortnight’s astrology, and while rocking the boat is hardly your style, you should be able to see that unless you make a radical move, a situation will never change. On the one hand, Easter provides opportunities for you to go places you have never been to before, and to sample new and exotic fare, but on the other, those things that have served their purpose should now be set aside.
12th April 2004 - 18th April 2004 Well, we kicked Saturn into touch for Easter, so the week ahead should be happy and hassle-free. Indeed, rather than throw your energies into work, this is an ideal time to relax and enjoy life. Retrograde Mercury isn’t always conducive to smooth and seamless travel but it can reconnect you with long lost people, feelings and places. With this in mind, a meeting or journey could be the reason this week turns out to be so special. On Saturday, the moon enters the area of life-direction and begins to work its way towards a solar eclipse (19th), making this a weekend to resolve old issues and prepare the ground for the new, in whatever form it is about to come in.
19th April 2004 - 25th April 2004 A solar eclipse on the Mid-heaven of your chart heralds a new phase, first and foremost for your career or role in life. It may take another few weeks for you to see the benefits of developments now but you should continue to have faith in yourself and your beliefs. What is making matters more complicated is retrograde Mercury, which is forcing you go over old ground and slowing down the decision-making process. However, not only could a delay could prove entirely useful but what may emerge this week in the way of information could radically change your plans. Sometimes what we want is not what is right for us and at the very least these current influences will reveal to you what is workable and what patently is not.
26th April 2004 - 2nd May 2004 As a water sign, you rarely reveal your intentions until you know the whole score, and your powers of patience and persistence are legendary: now these qualities are truly put to the test. On the one hand, with communication chief, Mercury heading in the right direction, some clarity is emerging, and there will be fewer obstacles to cope with in regard to personal and professional negotiations, but, on the other hand, you are not yet in a position to make a sound judgment about a relationship. In this kind of astrological climate previously hidden factors emerge, and with the kind of force that compels people to make all or nothing moves. However, you would be better waiting just a little bit longer before you jump one way or t’other.
3rd May 2004 - 9th May 2004 The lunar eclipse of the 4th signals the end of a gestation period. Now, for some Cancerians this theme will translate quite literally since you are about to welcome a new baby into the world, but for most celestial Crabs, the end of a gestation period implies that you are approaching a point when you will know whether or not your efforts and faith in an endeavour or an association have been justified. What emerges during the next seven to fourteen days in the way of understandings and finished projects closes a small or large life-chapter, and with feisty Mars entering your sign on the 7th, you are more than equipped to meet any and every challenge.
10th May 2004 - 16th May 2004 With the eclipsed full moon behind you, this continues to be a time of closure and completion; in fact you are in a two-week period when it is appropriate to phase out certain activities and interests in favour of others. Mars in Cancer is certainly an asset here, since this energy-giving planet will help you acquire focus and resolve; Mars will also encourage you to stand up for your rights. Sometimes, knowing when to make the right move is half the battle, and given this week’s highly supportive planetary influences, if you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to turn an idea into reality, this is it. Wednesday is a particularly good day to bring new things into being and to travel into unfamiliar territory.
17th May 2004 - 23rd May 2004 Are you discovering the blessings of Mars in your sign, or the curses? It should be a case of blessings at the moment, since this go-getting planet is perfectly placed to help you achieve your objectives and triumph over obstacles. However, if already you have a fight on your hands, be assured that you have what it takes to win. There are many factors to recommend this week’s astro-scape: seeing a little more of your world in terms of travel and experience is one of them, another is the ability to pre-empt a difficulty. You may be correct in sensing that someone isn’t entirely on your side, or that something is not going to come through as you had hoped, but by making a change now or showing that you are open to negotiation, you could make a big difference to the eventual outcome.
24th May 2004 - 31st May 2004 I wouldn’t describe Monday’s Mars-Saturn conjunction as a barrel of laughs, but it will serve a useful purpose: it will help you deal with a large and difficult task, and it will enable you to bring an end to an unsatisfactory state of affairs. Especially if you have an early July birthday, this last week of May is all about making hard decisions and being prepared to move on in new directions, and whenever you were born, these seven days contain a moment of truth. All right, there may be some regrets and tears but once you adapt to a new order, you will find there are more pluses than you could have believed possible. Not for the first time am I urging you to consider your glass is half full, not half empty!
31st May 2004 - 6th June 2004 No one is going to blame you for feeling unsure where you stand at the moment: the sun and Venus are secreted in the twelfth house, a place of smoke and mirrors, so very little is quite as it seems. Hopefully, Thursday’s full moon will bring enlightenment, and even if instead it brings a simmering situation to boiling point, you will be making a progress of sorts. Should you indeed feel somewhat under par and less than supported by others, try not to press on regardless but take some rest and relaxation. What may seem so tempestuous now could prove to be a mere storm in a teacup, and in the event of a genuine drama, gaining some distance and perspective will help you see a route around it far more quickly.
7th June 2004 - 13th June 2004 I wouldn’t describe the week ahead as a picnic but if you need the energy and the focus to move a proverbial mountain you’ve got it in spades! Gentle Venus is doing her best to spread sweetness and light, but until the weekend she has her work cut out - people will be less than accommodating and there is a chance that you will encounter a deep and previously unsuspected flaw in an endeavour. Ideally, you should keep a low profile, putting yourself and your well-being first and leaving others to make dramas out of minor upsets. By the 12th what previously may have seemed such an impasse should be perfectly manageable, and, if not, you will have the wherewithal to deal with it.
14th June 2004 - 20th June 2004 If you are on holiday or cutting back on work and duties, you’re doing the right thing. If, however, you are trying to maintain a full schedule and operating at the top of your game, you could be heading for melt down! Situations are not as clear as they might be and you do not have your usual stores of wisdom at your disposal, thus the smallest issue could assume far greater proportions than it merits. Your health and well-being should be paramount at the moment, so don’t take the responsibility for each and every task and problem, or allow other people to pile on the pressure. What emerges into the light this week could put a whole different complexion on an issue thus changing your priorities and your long term agenda.
21st June 2004 - 27th June 2004 The sun enters your sign on the 21st upping your levels of optimism and giving you more control of life. At the same time, Mars arrives in the money zone with the intention of sorting out your financial empire! These two astrological developments will make for changes not only in the rhythm and focus of life, but also in the direction of certain situations. During the last few weeks, you may not have been able to clearly see what was happening, first and foremost in a relationship and secondly with a professional or personal endeavour, thus between now and early July events will set you straight. This weekend could be one such occasion when reality takes over from fantasy and conjecture.
28th June 2004 - 4th July 2004 Friday’s full moon cuts across the relationship axis, thereby thrusting a romance or long-standing partnership into prominence. In some ways this is an appropriate time to marry or to consider extending an agreement, yet full moons do have a habit of upping the emotional amps and causing stresses and strains in previously happy alliances. With this in mind, allow someone to state his or her case now, without reaching for the hatchet or the emergency release! A new way forward is being offered under these stars, whether this translates quite literally as a journey to distant parts, or metaphorically in the way of new understandings.
5th July 2004 - 11th July 2004 Thursday’s meeting between the sun and Saturn in your sign completes a seven-year cycle. Some Cancerians - especially those with birthdays this week - should gain a sense of closure and completion now: you may be saying goodbye to people, places and interests that have been part of your life for a while, yet the new is awaiting just around the corner. This is an ideal week to close the book on an old issue, terminate an agreement or make an abiding decision. And with Jupiter also on board, a celebration or a sense of relief should be part of the equation. It is said that you get what you deserve with Saturn, and sometimes this is a heartwarming experience and sometimes a rather dispiriting one.
12th July 2004 - 18th July 2004 After last week’s reality based stars here come some fantastic ones. It takes Neptune to inspire us to greater heights, whether in the sense of our accomplishments or our feelings, and there is enough Neptune here to take you to cloud nine! Hopefully, what happens over the course of the next seven days will prove magical in the best possible way but if instead you something mysteriously comes apart at the seams, wait until you have some real facts before you leap into action. Finances and relationships are top of the list for any unusual developments now and while I do not want to burst any delicious bubble of love and hope, it might be prudent to remember that what goes up must come down!
19th July 2004 - 25th July 2004 What may have been shrouded in secrecy now emerges into the open. A combination of Jupiter and Pluto brings simmering issues to the boil and reveals the true intentions of people. And that includes you. You may have been deep in doubt as to what to do about a situation, but events during the course of the next seven days enlighten you and enable you to do the right thing. And vice versa - other people will be ready to tango! What is not appropriate in this astrological climate is allowing yourself to feel a victim of circumstances: there are ways in which you can influence matters, and rather than waste energy on going over old ground, you should be moving onward and upward.
26th July 2004 - 1st August 2004 You may often find the full moon to be a time of reflection and reappraisal, but especially so on this occasion. It seems a contract or a commitment is under discussion, and even if the situation has more life left in it, it will not stay the same. Finances look to be at the core of any debate at the moment, whether you are about to make a large investment, borrow a significant sum or trying to reach a mutually satisfactory settlement as regards the sale of a property, a redundancy or a divorce. But whatever is the focus for these money-talking stars, do your best to leave emotions out of the equation. By complete contrast, for some Cancerians a turning point in a relationship is about to be reached.
2nd August 2004 - 8th August 2004 At last Venus leaves her retreat in the twelfth house and comes on side to help you score a few points. Venus is in her element patching up broken hearts and bringing lovers together so for some Cancerians this is the beginning of a four-week period when your love life gets a kick start. However, sometimes Venus has her work cut out restoring love and harmony so other celestial Crabs are about to become acutely aware of the lacks and deficiencies of partners, and what needs to be done to improve a relationship. Nonetheless, on balance August is going to be a month in which you will attract great and good things into your life. And for some, this forecast becomes a reality this weekend.
9th August 2004 - 15th August 2004 You may have people to see and places to go, but with Mercury turning retrograde, you won’t be setting any Olympic records for speed and accuracy. Then again, does it really matter? Sometimes you put yourself under unnecessary pressure to please others and carry all the responsibilities, and maybe you need to slow down and let everybody else do the worrying for a change. Venus has just entered your sign, so you have yet to experience the success, happiness and love that this beautiful planet can bring with her. And if you already have a big romantic date in your diary, or you have someone new in your sights, Venus will pull out all the stops in order to speed the course of true love. Indeed, it will be the only thing running at speed in the next few weeks!
16th August 2004 - 22nd August 2004 The lovely Venus is going to have to go into overdrive this week in order to offset the vicissitudes of planet Uranus. I'm not saying that these alignments cannot make for the most thrilling of events, but just in case you were in danger of assuming that everything in your life was watertight and in no way vulnerable to sudden U-turns, I'm keeping you on your toes. Travel and communications are indeed under Uranus this week, which means journeys will be the proverbial magical mystery tour and people will act in the most surprising ways. Then again, if you have an announcement to make, or you wish to initiate a big change on someone else's agenda, this is your moment to strike!
23rd August 2004 - 29th August 2004 This is the second week in a row that Uranus has dominated the astrology, so the trend for instability continues. If you're travelling to foreign places, learning some new skills or being exposed to new and very different people, you are entirely in synch with your stars, and no doubt already aware of the pluses to what is going on. On the other hand, you may have had to change your plans at the eleventh hour or you remain uncertain as to whether an arrangement is on or off. This is not the week to depend on everybody and everything: life is in a state of flux, and even you may be unsure of what you really want. Thus, you should keep your timetable fluid and remain open to last minute changes.
30th August 2004 - 5th September 2004 At best, this is a week of solid results and realistic discussions, but at worst, you face an ending of sorts. Venus, usually a generous and uplifting influence when she transits your sign, meets up with dreary Saturn on the 31st, thereby bringing a less than jubilant aura to events. While Saturn helps you make a binding agreement, which is essential to marriage and mergers of other kinds, it can also reveal the drawbacks to endeavours and relationships. With this in mind, and especially if you have a late June-early July birthday, take off your rose-coloured spectacles now and look reality straight in the eye. This is no time for excuses and half-baked notions.
6th September 2004 - 12th September 2004 With the sun and Mars squaring up to Pluto, this is a far from easygoing week: indeed, if planets were volcanoes this would be Krakatoa! Simply reminding yourself that people will be in no mood to compromise or give you a warm and fluffy time of it all could be enough to carry you safely through the ups and downs of the next few days; on the other hand, if you've needed the courage to make a radical move you couldn't ask for better alignments. Leaving a job, breaking away from someone who is causing you nothing but grief or making a decision that will alter your life-horizons could all be reasons why early September will carve its signature on your life.
13th September 2004 - 19th September 2004 I'm not sure whether to encourage you to follow your instincts or urge you to hold back until you have more information. You are by nature a very cautious sign, which sometimes means a boat of opportunity leaves port before you have time to get on board, yet on other occasions a hesitation saves you no end of hassle. Certainly, you should be prepared for out of the blue offers this week, and an unexpected journey could be part of the equation. And, if someone makes a move that goes against your wishes, you should avoid taking it personally. But, back to the issue of instincts versus intelligence. My advice is to put yourself and your best interests first, and let others take care of themselves.
20th September 2004 - 26th September 2004 The one true antidote to Saturnian grind is Jupiterian joy, and thanks to Jupiter's arrival at the base of your chart, after a year of less than jubillant events, you are about to begin a twelve-month period of improvements. Jupiter's primary role in his new position will be to protect and provide for you: gradually, you will be able to build stronger foundations, both in the sense of your role in life and in regard to the home and family. And with Mars also heading into this same zone on Sunday, it seems a period of intense activity is about to begin, first and foremost on the home front, and second, regarding your career. Be courageous and forthright - the time for action has come.
27th September 2004 - 3rd October 2004 Jupiter has just arrived at the base of your chart so normally it would be too soon to see the signs of the success this planet can produce, but there is enough fire-power in this cosmos to get all manner of rockets into orbit. While some Cancerians will be welcoming a new addition, whether in terms of a member of the family or regarding a domestic or property matter, others will simply receive some very welcome news. Indeed, it is hard to find a bad word to say about this week's stunning alignments, although it is just possible that a small problem could erupt into a large scale drama. In the event of the latter, don't panic: be pragmatic.
4th October 2004 - 10th October 2004 If you like magic, you're going to love this week's stars. Uranus, the wizard, and Neptune, the illusionist, are in charge, giving a whole new meaning to the phrase smoke and mirrors. A romantic date could be the start of a magical love affair yet these same influences could upend a relationship, suddenly and for the strangest of reasons. Therefore, keep your options open and try not to take offence should someone see a situation in a different light from you. Fortunately, you have plenty of cushions in the form of good Jupiter aspects, so any upset should right itself quickly, and even if you do suffer a set-back, it will serve a useful purpose.
11th October 2004 - 17th October 2004 During the last few weeks Jupiter has been in charge, and that has created a climate of optimism and extravagance. At least that's the theory. In practice, your hopes may have been raised by developments yet it is equally possible that a situation has escalated in a less than desirable way. If so, this week's Saturnian aspects should bring order out of chaos and enable you to get a better grip on one or more issues. The trouble with Saturn is that even when he's making things better he does it in a somewhat joyless way, so even though the events of the week ahead may be welcome - and they'll certainly facilitate closure - no one will blame you for looking forward to happier times.
18th October 2004 - 24th October 2004 You should receive answers to questions posed some time ago. Indeed, the past comes into the present in more ways than one now. Saturn, currently focusing on the 16th - 19th July birthdays, is angled by the sun, making a reality out of what was once a possibility. In some cases what comes into being now will add to your stability and security, yet this planet can also reveal the limitations of certain situations, so there is a chance that some Cancerians will feel let down and disappointed by this week's events. In the case of the latter, try not to dwell on what might have been and focus instead on what new avenues could now open up to you. In time to come these events may well be seen as a blessing, not a curse.
25th October 2004 - 31st October 2004 A total eclipse in the area of creativity and collaboration dominates this week's astrology. This is the right time to complete a task that you have been working on for some months, and the right moment to bring something new into being. Eclipses, however, do tend to put pressure on certain situations, so if there have been tensions in a friendship or problems with a project, these will reach something of a peak now. Fortunately, you have Jupiter in such a protective position that it seems even if you do hit a rut in the road, it will turn out to be to your advantage. Be quietly confident about your future and never lose sight of the fact that your labours will be rewarded eventually.
1st November 2004 - 7th November 2004 Getting a straight-forward answer could turn out to be the week's biggest challenge. While Saturn brings an aura of reality to events, Uranus and Neptune make for muddles and last moment changes. Yes, this could be an exciting, and certainly different, period of the year but considering your love of the safe and the familiar events could leave you feeling a little shaky. A change of travel plans, perhaps, an unscheduled journey or a very different outcome are some manifestations of this astro-scape; having second thoughts about a commitment could be another. Make no hard and fast rules for yourself now - leave plenty of room to manoeuvre.
8th November 2004 - 14th November 2004 On the 8th, Saturn in your sign turns retrograde. Now, this is not the most sensational of astrological events, but it is a signal for a slowing down process. It may be that you have been pushing yourself too hard and the time has come to replenish your physical and mental batteries, or perhaps you need some time to reflect on where you are at, and generally appraise your life. But it is also possible that an endeavour or a relationship is about to change gear, giving the impression that it is on its way out. My advice is not to panic but to look at what can be done to strengthen any weaknesses and correct any past mistakes. As always with Saturn, be practical and pragmatic.
15th November 2004 - 21st November 2004 Saturn is an acquired taste: at first you may not like the lessons he dishes out, but after a time, you start to see that they have purpose, and that you are benefitting from them. And this may well be the case this week. On the one hand, you may receive solid proof that a plan can go ahead or that you have been successful in your efforts; on the other, it may become apparent that an endeavour or an association is no longer viable, and that you are better off cutting your losses. You won't be the only person facing a hard fact now: indeed, the way someone behaves or the decisions that others make could have more to do with difficulties in their lives than anything you may or may not have done.
22nd November 2004 - 28th November 2004 You'll learn something new this week - and it could change an aspect of working life or introduce you to some new technology or a new system. Indeed, Uranus is at its best getting rid of old methods and ancient history, and giving us a giant shove into 21st Century living. On the other hand, if you are feeling disgruntled about someone or something, this is probably not the week to rattle your sabre - you may bring about the end of a once beautiful friendship. You may also need to treat your health with a little more care - attend to minor problems and avoid pushing the mind and body beyond its limits. That done, this could be an extremely liberating few days.
29th November 2004 - 5th December 2004 This is a great week for a party, a trip to the movies or some spiritual sustenance: it is not a good week for setting anything in cement and reaching clear and solid understandings. OK? Neptune always creates a mystery somewhere, and even if life seems to be going along familiar tracks, you could be experiencing doubts about a matter. Ideally, you should put a decision on hold for the moment, first because there could be further developments that could make a difference to the situation, and, second, because an astrological climate like this creates too many uncertainties. It's a wait and see period.
Treading water for now.
6th December 2004 - 12th December 2004 Is there any point my asking you to relax, put your feet up and let other people do the heavy work? It is one answer to these power-packed alignments. Another response would be to remain cool and unemotional in the face of an unexpected change of agenda. The work area of your chart is under Pluto's management at the moment, which means forces beyond your control could interfere with your ideas and expectations. In some cases the events could be as great as to incur a change of job or work location, but for most Cancerians this is simply a week when matters will easily get on top of you and colleagues and employers/employees will be the source of serious aggravation.
Take a break.
13th December 2004 - 19th December 2004 Christmas preparations may reach fever pitch this week, so start as you mean to go on and don't give yourself impossible targets to reach: delegate and defer ! However, decking the halls with holly may not be the biggest item on your agenda at the moment, and you could instead be dealing with a challenge on the work or personal front. There is not a lot you can do about people who have fully made up their minds or who have unexpected developments to cope with in their lives, and the quicker you adapt your schedule and expectations to theirs the easier it will be all round. I think it's called putting a good face on it !
Smile - 'tis the season to be jolly !
20th December 2004 - 26th December 2004 This may have been a December of delays and uncertainties but not so from this week onwards. Questions are answered and you can reach your objectives without endless stops and starts. You may also discover that what seemed irresolvable a mere few days ago is no longer so, and even if you are not able to meet all your targets this should not be allowed to interfere with the Christmas spirit. On the 21st, the sun enters the zone of love and relating setting the stage for a month of important relationship developments. And with the full moon in Cancer on the 26th one of those events may well take place this weekend
It's all about love.
27th December 2004 - 2nd January 2005 Just when you thought it was time to relax and allow the New Year to enter quietly, along comes Uranus with the equivalent of a stick of dynamite and a bunch of helium balloons. An exaggeration, perhaps, but this is certainly a dynamite entry into 2005. A last minute invitation, an unexpected opportunity or a message that takes you by surprise are some of the options on the New Year's menu, but whatever you're planning be prepared for some overnight changes and for certain people to behave in a way that you would never have expected. There are no in-betweens about events this week - you'll either love them or loathe them.
Surprise, surprise !
3rd January 2005 - 9th January 2005 Three words encapsulate this astro-scape - a rude awakening. Now, this may translate as a reluctant return to the workplace or you may discover that an error was made some weeks back, or that a task was not completed, so you are now in something of a quandary. Whatever your immediate reaction to any disclosures or discoveries, wait until the dust has settled before making a move. You won't be the only person dealing with less than welcome realities this week, so a lot of patience and tolerance will go a long way to resolving a problem quickly. On the 9th sweet Venus arrives in the area of love and relating, so peace and harmony are on their way.
Smile - it's 2005 !
10th January 2005 - 16th January 2005 This may not have been the most jubilant start to the year, but by the end of this week you should have come through the toughest part, and you will be on your way to happier times. Saturn is in charge of cosmic affairs, and while you can cut through a large workload thanks to this planet or you can face a tough challenge and emerge victorious, no one will be able to say it was easy. Mid-July birthdays get the best and worst of Saturn now, so, on the upside, this would be an appropriate moment to make a life-long commitment or take on a big responsibility and, on the downside a disappointment or delay may have to be born with grace and dignity.
Trial and error.
17th January 2005 - 23rd January 2005 January's stars have done little to improve our spirits but this week represents a sea-change. Jupiter's position at the base of your chart is playing both a protective and nurturing role, so even if you run up against a proverbial wall of opposition, you'll be cushioned from any serious damage, and more importantly you'll come to realize that any delays or disappointments will be for the best in the long run. However, you stand to make excellent progress now, and, especially in regard to work or the home, there could be some extremely welcome developments. Indeed, what may have been a negative earlier in the month could now be looking very positive.
Up beat and upwards.
24th January 2005 - 30th January 2005 You can take comfort in the knowledge that the whole zodiac is under a cloud this week - you haven't been especially singled out. It could just be that time of year when you take stock of where you're at - financially, personally and work-wise - and rather than feeling over the moon about your situation, you've feel distinctly under Saturn! In other words, you're looking at all the minuses and seeing few of the pluses. Partners in particular and other people in general could be the primary cause of any difficulty, whether you feel unsupported or short-changed or because events in their lives are proving troublesome. Good can come out of events now, but you'll need to put emotions on one side and focus on expedient solutions.
A time of assessment.
31st January 2005 - 6th February 2005 As a water sign you are a natural when it comes to acting on your intuition and believing in your dreams. Most of the time your psychic powers serve you well, one of the only exceptions being in regard to finances. Relying on your feelings rather than the figures is not the best way to solve a monetary problem, nor should you invest your hard-earned income (nor your emotions come to that) in those things that and those people who have not yet proven themselves. If someone comes to you with a hard luck story, give him or her all the sympathy you want but do not become involved in that person's business or financial affairs. Likewise, if you receive some information of a speculative nature, before you act on it double-check the facts.
All is not quite as it seems.
7th February 2005 - 13th February 2005 Since late January, the planetary focus has been on finances and intimate relationships - and the influences have been less than kind. However, there is a sea change this week, which may well emerge as a breakthrough in a deadlocked situation or a generous offer from an individual or an organization. There are reasons for hopes to be raised, and for you to have faith in the words and deeds of certain people. I am not saying that you should throw caution to the winds, but I am urging you to let go of any hard feelings or any negative expectations. For once your glass is more than half full: good fortune isn't something that only happens to other people.
Think: abundance
14th February 2005 - 20th February 2005 Neptune is with us once again, turning dreams into reality or sending smoke signals. And while this may be mildly confusing in some areas of life this trend is a genuine nuisance when it comes to negotiations of a financial or professional nature. If you are indeed trying to set a situation in cement, or at least gain your bearings, this may not be the week you accomplish your ends, however, what you may gain in experience and insight could be worth the diversion and the delay. By complete contrast, a relationship could be developing into something infinitely more beautiful and permanent. As I often say, keep your feet on the ground but your heart soaring.
Smoke and mirrors.
21st February 2005 - 27th February 2005 Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the kitchen. Our friend, planet Uranus, arrives to teach us all about the uncertainty principle - as if we hadn't already learned enough! Fortunately, Uranus is well positioned for you at the moment so what may come into being this week could surprise and delight you. Far away places and distant plans are in the frame, so while some Cancerians could be heading into foreign territory for business or pleasure, others could be on the receiving end of a startling piece of news or a new personal or professional challenge. Whatever the case, this is a week to expect the unexpected and to be philosophical in the face of a volte-face.
A change of outlook.
28th February 2005 - 7th March 2005 This is rather an unstable period of the year, so if you are already dealing with a crisis or merely feeling anxious at least you will know there is an astrological reason for it all! Of course, when the cosmos is rocking and rolling like this you have the power to make big and necessary changes in your life. Cancer is not a sign noted for its love of change and the unfamiliar but you could benefit tremendously from making a bold and controversial move at this point; and by the same token, if someone else makes a decision that changes your prospects, don't be downhearted but celebrate the opportunity to channel your interests or your affections into a new direction.
Making waves.
7th March 2005 - 13th March 2005 Saturn is nearing the end of its transit of your sign so you are almost at the finishing line of a challenging but not necessarily unfulfilling two years. With this in mind, Monday's meeting between Mars and Saturn will either set a situation in cement or you will realize (not for the first time) that someone or something is not worth your time and efforts. Cancer is a tenacious and caring sign - you rarely walk away when the going gets tough - but sometimes you hang on to situations when they are serving no purpose whatsoever, except to cause you pain and hassle. If this is indeed the case, maybe this week's stars will help you find liberation and a new way forward.
Making a stand.
14th March 2005 - 20th March 2005 You may have been trying to put a good face on a situation for rather too long and the time has come to call a spade a shovel! In this kind of astrological climate facts are faced and radical decisions are made - all of which tends to help your cause as opposed to hindering it. Work and long-term plans look to be centre stage of any major developments this week, although travel and long-distance connections could also figure prominently. If events beyond your control interfere with your hopes and plans, try not to head down a spiral of despair: by contrast, if something comes through with flying colours now, you have deserved your moment in the sun.
Realizations and reckonings.
21st March 2005 - 27th March 2005 The 22nd is a key date in your astrological calendar: Saturn in your sign ends its backwards trek and Venus arrives in the area of ambitions and your role in life. Saturn's change of direction will bring an end to a period of frustrating delays and set-backs: maybe not immediately but in the next few weeks you could find that a situation over which you had given up hope is back on track, and that your confidence and optimism is returning. Venus's new position will also help you attract good opportunities and people towards you, and if you have been seeking to market your talents or find a backer for your plans, now is the time to strut your stuff!
On the road to success.
28th March 2005 - 3rd April 2005 You should be pushing the boat out now - and we're not talking maritime adventures here. Planets in the zone of aspirations and life-direction are encouraging you to take some big steps, and to aim your arrows of desire higher than ever. We might say the sky is the limit. Cancer is not the most assertive sign, although you are ambitious, and under these Jupiterian influences you should declare your intentions and show what you're capable of. You may also have a reason to celebrate on the home front - a happy announcement or a much looked forward to event. You may even have cause to utter: you can't have too much of a good thing.
Celebrate success.
1st April 2005 - 30th April 2005
4th April 2005 - 10th April 2005 In three months time Saturn will head out of your sign, having made you a stronger person, surer of your life priorities and aims, however, these benefits will not have been achieved overnight and without effort. Throughout the last two years there have been developments that demanded much of you, and we are at just such another Saturnian junction. As before, the opportunity offered to you here is to make a move that reveals the calibre of person you are: you have to step up to the plate. It may be that you are about to take on a more demanding job or that you have to shoulder the responsibility for others but whatever turns out to be the challenge du jour, maintain your perspective, your sense of humour and, most important of all faith in yourself.
A serious task.
11th April 2005 - 17th April 2005 With Mercury stuck in reverse gear for the past three weeks, you may have met with more than your share of delays and misunderstandings but happily this planet of travel and communications gets back on track on Tuesday, and accordingly life and its mysteries should begin to clear up. However, what may emerge in the way of information which has been concealed, lost or trapped in the pipeline could initially pose more questions than it answers. This is probably more of an annoyance than a major problem so do your best not to let a minor disappointment or error get in the way of an otherwise productive and enjoyable week.
Seeking satisfaction.
18th April 2005 - 24th April 2005 Cancerians tend to be more sensitive to the full moon than any other sign, and when the moon is eclipsed that tendency becomes even stronger. With this in mind, do your best to rationalize your feelings now: what appears to be so overwhelming is probably entirely manageable and in general your fears and anxieties are likely to prove groundless. This eclipse cuts across the creative axis of your solar chart, so the end of a gestation period is writ large in its symbolism - a time of waiting is over and what has been cooking in the oven, so to speak, is ready to be revealed. Thus, these next few weeks could also produce a reason for a celebration.
The end of a gestation period.
25th April 2005 - 1st May 2005 There could be some very good news to come this week. Mercury, the planet of communication, receives a boost from larger than life, Jupiter, giving some Cancerians a promotion and others a lucky break. And even if you feel that the gods of good fortune have passed you by, discussions held now and possibilities that come into being could turn out to be highly successful. There is also a strong aura of romance in the astrology - perfect for a blind date and beautiful for a wedding or an anniversary. There will be plenty of time later to face facts and deal with life's realities - now is the moment to give in to your heart's desire.
Having faith.
2nd May 2005 - 8th May 2005 Your statements carry great weight at this time, so don't underestimate the response of other people to your actions and avoid doing anything in a hurry. While Saturn allows you to make moves that will stand the test of time, Neptune could be causing others to misinterpret your actions, or, vice versa, to disguise their real intentions. Now, this is not meant to alarm you so much as to ensure that you go into situations with your eyes open, and that you do more than usual to ascertain that everyone concerned with an event or an endeavour is on the same page. The weekend's stars blend the serious with the sentimental, the real with the magical.
Mixed messages.
9th May 2005 - 15th May 2005 Are you ready for a change of routine? Hopefully so, since this week's astro-scape is full of the new and the different. Mars has only just begun to persuade you that the world is a bigger place than you had imagined, both in the sense of urging you to travel far and to see that you have more life-options at your disposal. Now Mars hooks up to Uranus, the Great Awakener, speeding up this process of expansion and illumination. While this might not be the best of alignments under which to take a risk with life and limb, it is certainly the ideal influence under which to stretch your wings and venture into unfamiliar territory.
Breaking new ground.
16th May 2005 - 22nd May 2005 Nothing is exactly as it seems at the moment, and although you may want to make a move, it might be more prudent to put a decision on hold. The combination of so many different planetary influences muddies the waters, so to speak, and until the sediment has settled you won't be able to see a situation clearly. While there is a real possibility of your life horizons opening up in sudden and unexpected ways, the emotional impact of events is likely to cloud your judgement, albeit temporarily. On the 20th, the sun slips into the subterranean twelfth house for a four-week sabbatical, and in tandem you might consider the benefits of retreating from certain situations.
Pause for thought.
23rd May 2005 - 29th May 2005 Fortunately, the celestial Crab is a cautious and reflective creature - rarely do you steam into action without a plan and a parachute. Nevertheless with these intriguing and intricate alignments you may have to observe even greater prudence. Monday's full moon is likely to bring to a head an issue that has been simmering for some while, and for many Cancerians this issue is related to work or lifestyle. My advice is to allow the information to sink in for now, but if at all possible to wait until the sun enters your sign in June before reaching a definite conclusion. There is a chance that you are only seeing part of the picture now, not all of it.
Let the dust settle.
30th May 2005 - 5th June 2005 Take a deep breath and say after me: I am serene, I am content, I am as cool as a cucumber. That way, whatever comes out of the woodwork will bounce off you. OK? As you might have guessed, this week's cosmic offerings look set to get you rocking and rolling, and the more laid-back and accepting you can be, the better. Other people are likely to be the cause of any ruffled feathers, whether someone makes a statement that changes the way you look at him or her, or whether an arrangement has to be changed at the very last minute. This is not to say, however, that you will not enjoy the events to come or that they will not turn out to be hugely beneficial to you in the long run.
A change of agenda.
6th June 2005 - 12th June 2005 If you had any choice in the matter, now would be a good time to take a break - head for the hills and watch other people grapple with the vicissitudes of Pluto. However, should you be unable to take leave of the rat race, at least go about your business with the expectation that if people can be difficult and uncooperative, they will be. By contrast, your intuition is razor sharp now, so if something strikes you as odd, or you feel like taking a specific action without having the facts or the rationale to back it up, go for it. Under these stars, you can make a strong statement, and certainly reach a profound understanding.
Pause for thought
13th June 2005 - 19th June 2005 In a few short days, the sun will arrive in your sign and what currently seems so confusing will begin to make sense. Part of the problem may be that you are not operating on all four cylinders at present, so although a challenging situation should not be underestimated, neither should a concern be exaggerated. Fortunately, Thursday's ingenious link between Mercury and Uranus could bring an overnight solution or you may suddenly see things from a whole new perspective. I may have said this before but it is nonetheless true, today's three-act drama is tomorrow's tale of triumph.
Changing your perspective.
20th June 2005 - 26th June 2005 At last, on the 21st, the sun proudly enters your sign, releasing you from the grip of the twelfth house blues and giving you back your clarity and focus. And just in time, since the full moon and a Venus-Saturn conjunction could make demands on your energy and judgment. It may be that you have been preparing for a special event and that that time has come, in which case you are feeling alternately anxious and excited: on the other hand, a situation that has been relegated to the dustbin of history could be showing signs of life. The week ahead is one of sharp contrasts, but at no point should you stop believing in yourself.
Rise to the occasion.
27th June 2005 - 3rd July 2005 With the arrival of July, life is beginning to look better and better. During the past few weeks, you may have been struggling with a difficulty or draining your physical and emotional batteries, so you are well overdue for a reward of some description. While I cannot promise you that life will perform a complete U-turn, I can see that there is a break in the clouds. A change of scene is one interpretation of these stars - and to a distant location - a new take on an old situation is another. Consider you are starting a whole new phase of your life, and as the saying goes: a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
Making tracks.
4th July 2005 - 10th July 2005 Wednesday's new moon in Cancer begins a new cycle - and with Saturn poised to leave your sign in a few short weeks, you must be more than ready to kiss goodbye to a period of hard work, hard times and hard feelings! Indeed, putting the past behind you and looking towards the future is the theme of the moment. And while a new cycle applies principally to your personal life, with Mars in the area of career and ambitions happily linked to Neptune in the financial sector there could be some extremely positive developments in the pipe-line in this direction. You have more influence than you may think over your affairs at the moment, therefore don't hide behind that famous shell of yours: go, strut your stuff!
A green light.
11th July 2005 - 17th July 2005 There is one good reason for a celebration this week - Saturn's departure from your sign. You've been put through your paces - mercilessly on some occasions - but you now have the resources and the wisdom to deal with anything and anyone! While the next seven days could produce welcome developments on the personal or romantic front, it is the area of work and life-direction that receives the best of influences. You could take a step up the ladder of success now, or you may be laying down plans that will add to your professional and financial stature in the future. Whatever your goals and wherever you feel you are upon the road of life, something about this week's stars gives you a push in the right direction.
Getting there.
18th July 2005 - 24th July 2005 On the 21st the second full moon in the area of relationships takes place within a month, giving you another chance to bury the hatchet or reach a rewarding conclusion. And since Saturn still has a part to play in the proceedings this is not the moment to stick your head in the sand or make matters worse by alienating yourself from a person who or an organization that is prepared to negotiate. Admittedly, this is not the most joyous of weeks, and you may not be thrilled about what people have to say but you can make solid progress and you will be able to rely on information received. Indeed, with communication expert, Mercury, turning retrograde on Saturday, the earlier in the week you make your decisions, the better.
Be magnanimous.
25th July 2005 - 31st July 2005 Two very different influences are operating in your life this week: while Saturn is endeavouring to put the glue in situations and hold you to rules and red tape Uranus is tempting you to flout convention and make a liberating move. Cancer, of course, is a cautious sign, one not given to risky manoeuvres of any description, thus the safest course of action is probably to fight an impulse decision and to remain on familiar ground. However, should you have been feeling the slightest bit frustrated or you have been contemplating following your heart, may I suggest you throw caution to the winds? Opportunity does not always knock twice.
Obey your instincts.
1st August 2005 - 7th August 2005 Thrift and solvency are second nature to the celestial Crab but something appears to be getting in the way of perfect balance at the moment. You could be waiting for a payment, trying to reach an agreement or in doubt as to the way to proceed with a financial matter, all of which adds up to a general sense of frustration and uncertainty. While you should ensure that all the paperwork is correct, so to speak, trying to speed things along is not the best policy: focus on those things that are working and spend time with people and activities that bring joy and generate optimism. Keep reminding yourself that when you do not know what to do, do nothing!
Get a sense of perspective.
8th August 2005 - 14th August 2005 This is the second week in a row when Neptune could be making muddles with money and valuables. Facts and figures are in short supply with this planet, yet even your excellent instincts cannot be trusted to fill in the gap. Ideally, you should put a financial matter on hold until the end of the month but if a delay is not possible at least get a second opinion and ensure that you have some wiggle room in the event of an unforeseen change in circumstance. On the plus side, a close relationship could soar to spectacular heights and if you have never known a soul-to-soul moment, under these stars well you might.
Soul food.
15th August 2005 - 21st August 2005 Money matters have been the subject of my stars for the past couple of weeks but after Friday's full moon we should be able to move on to other things. This full moon will not only bring a financial issue to crunch point but it will also enable you to make a final decision of some description. And since there has been considerable confusion circulating around your affairs recently, you should now be able to establish the reality. Do your best to remain objective this week - other people may be emotional and irrational but that doesn't mean you have to join in. And on a lighter note, a happy event on home territory could be in store for the weekend.
Do the maths.
22nd August 2005 - 28th August 2005 Feeling in the mood to be romanced? Fed up with responsibilities and hard work? If your answer is yes, get ready to be taken to the stars. However, should you need some solid answers, especially to a financial matter, prepare to be confused! This is not the week to let a salesman through the door or to put your signature to an agreement that has too many loopholes, none of which appear to be to your advantage. Also, reserve judgement before accepting other people's assurances of money coming to you: if you cannot see it, feel it and bank it, assume you're on a journey to never-land. Fortunately, this state of affairs is only temporary - normal service will return soon.
Shaky ground.
29th August 2005 - 4th September 2005 Venus has been doing her best to sweeten up family and property matters, and in general spread love and peace through life, but if you have not appreciated her work so far, perhaps this week's beautiful alignments will do the trick. You may face some changes to plans, particularly those that involve travel or legal work, so the more flexible you can be, the better. What is also advised at this time is being prepared to give someone another chance: people who return to the fold now or offer a new way forward mean what they say. You do not always welcome change and you can be difficult to de-frost after a falling out, but you will benefit from such magnanimous actions now.
Change for the better.
5th September 2005 - 11th September 2005 If you have been run off your feet since the end of August, blame jack-in-the-box, Uranus. This planet likes nothing better than to awaken you to a new state of affairs, and to give you a fresh outlook on life. Still, you may not feel exactly amused at the way events are panning out, and the actions of certain people. It is possible that you have become stuck in a safe but inappropriate rut, and it is time to throw out strategies that no longer serve your interests and ambitions. Ideally, you should be the one to initiate a brave new policy now - all that appears to be holding you back is that internal demon of yours, the fear of change.
Get cracking!
12th September 2005 - 18th September 2005 Moving with the times is sometimes a challenge to the celestial Crab, who holds a deep attachment to the past, yet blazing a brand new trail is what the astrology urges now. Indeed, travel could be the focus for these innovative aspects. A journey in connection with work may have to be taken or you could be asked to make a move that amounts to a leap in the dark. However, you should have the courage to accept what is offered to you. Conversely, you may find the events of the coming week less than pleasing, even if you can see they will open up new avenues for you. You have plenty of grit and determination, Cancer, all you need now is the ability to take a risk.
A break from the past.
19th September 2005 - 25th September 2005 On the 22nd, the sun reaches the base of your chart, thereby beginning a four-week period in which much can be achieved in regard to family and property matters. You will also be able to lay the foundations of future endeavours, especially in regard your career. The past few weeks could well have taken a toll on your time and resources so you may be relieved to know that your stores - whether financial, physical or mental - are about to be replenished. While it may still be relatively early days in the recovery programme, you can afford to treat developments with optimism and confidence. It's a new day, a new dawn.
Hope floats.
26th September 2005 - 2nd October 2005 Events of earlier in September could have given you pause for thought and made you more cautious and pessimistic than was strictly necessary. If so, these encouraging influences should see you on the road to recovery, and with a light and optimistic gait. Especially favoured this week are family and property matters: indeed this is an excellent time to purchase a property or make an investment in your home. Also favoured are discussions with banks and lending institutions, and should you have felt somewhat sidelined, even rejected, by an individual or an organization, this is the time to mount a come-back.
The worm turns.
3rd October 2005 - 9th October 2005 Jupiter is nearing the end of its passage through the fourth house of home and the foundations of life. Hopefully, this planet has brought increase and greater security but if not, these next four weeks may do the trick. Certainly, there are signs of the new and the welcome throughout the astrology this week, so if circumstances do not deliver the goods, so to speak, you should lose no time embarking on new projects, especially if they involve family members or property. You may be one of the more cautious and thrifty signs of the zodiac but sometimes you have to take a small financial or emotional risk in order to change an unfulfilling pattern of life. Food for thought, eh?
Speculate to accumulate.
10th October 2005 - 16th October 2005 This is one of those strange weeks when as soon as one factor goes into reverse thrust something else gathers momentum. Top of the list for one of life's little problems are finances - a slight cash-flow problem, perhaps, or someone proving resistant to your ideas or appeals for support. You may also find that the work place is the setting for some unorthodox moves, even a display of fireworks. Since we are currently in between eclipses you are better giving certain people a wide berth and attempting to reach compromises - in two short weeks, Jupiter will be giving you all he has got in terms of success and happiness, thus patience now could be rewarded richly later.
Hold your horses.
17th October 2005 - 23rd October 2005 The 17th's lunar eclipse flanks the axis of life-direction urging you to reflect on your long-term aims and ambitions. Ideally, this is the right time to bring a course of action to a close or to complete a process of some description, yet eclipses have an aura of destiny about them so it may seem as if you are not the architect of events, other people have your fate in their hands. While this may prove to be a decisive period for your career, there could also be important developments on the home and family front. But whatever emerges as a new way forward in this mid-to-latter part of October, embrace it with enthusiasm.
Endings and beginnings.
24th October 2005 - 30th October 2005 Behind that crablike crust of yours there is a star waiting to emerge, and thanks to Jupiter's arrival in the area of creativity and self-expression other people will soon see it. You have a year in which this expansive planet will be creating opportunities for you to shine, whether in the sense of making a romantic conquest or achieving a long-held desire. This weekend, however, Venus and Pluto are presenting you with a challenge and particularly regarding a work matter it seems push has finally come to shove. Don't be afraid to make a stand for your beliefs now - other people may not agree with your ideas but they will be impressed by your courage.
Stepping up to the mark
31st October 2005 - 6th November 2005 In a week of stops and starts the prospect of Venus entering the area of love and relating has to be a major consolation prize. Between now and early December you can expect welcome relationship developments, whether these manifest as new romantic interests, proposals or positive changes in an established partnership. Nevertheless, Saturn and Uranus must have their say first, and in most cases this means that a cut-back of some description has to be made now, whether this involves finances or your time and energy. Do your best to remove emotions from the equation: current events need clarity and common sense, not dramas.
Sense and Sensibleness
7th November 2005 - 13th November 2005 Under these stars you can find your inner muse and make a soul-to-soul connection: what you may not be able to do is get two and two to add up to four. Neptune, Master of mystery and inspiration, is centre stage, helping you make brilliant artistic and entrepreneurial moves but also putting you in positions where it is difficult to separate truth from fiction. Should you be bringing something new into being now it has the capacity to change your life in ways you could never have imagined. Yet if you receive some unexpected and disappointing news, before you react make sure that the information is truly correct.
Mixed messages.
14th November 2005 - 20th November 2005 If you can locate Venus in the night sky, keep your eyes trained on her because she represents a genuine ray of light in an otherwise stormy cosmos. Other people will hold you in high esteem whatever the ups and downs of the week ahead but this doesn't mean they won't inconvenience or disappoint you! Should an event have to be postponed now or someone announce a problem with an endeavour, do not lose hope: small wrinkles can be ironed out quickly and even a major obstacle will have ways around it. Wednesday's full moon is another sign of a change of direction for an enterprise or an association, yet it also represents the end of a gestation period with a birth to follow in due course.
Be patient.
21st November 2005 - 27th November 2005 This is a very strange period of 2006, so if you are currently on the horns of a dilemma you can safely blame your stars. What is being offered to you at the moment is an opportunity to change a seriously outdated system, whether this applies in the literal sense, perhaps with an appliance, or in the context of a way of thinking or handling a situation. Change is always a little scary to begin with but eventually the new becomes old hat, which may be a good method of accepting any alterations thrust on you by an individual or a company. At the very least, you can use these ground-breaking stars to try something completely different.
A curious interlude.
28th November 2005 - 4th December 2005 Saturn and Uranus share the honours this week and since these two planets operate in entirely opposite modes, you may find that while one situation takes off suddenly another stops in its tracks. Work appears to be in the forefront of events now, and this would be the ideal moment to make a big change to your routine or to accept an offer that has been under consideration for some while. Also, even though you may have knocked at a door before and failed to gain entry, by trying again now you could find it will open to you. A combination of persistence and chutzpah could prove to be a winning ticket.
A second look.
5th December 2005 - 11th December 2005 A brilliant link between Mars and Jupiter could prompt you to take an unusual risk - and with excellent results. This aspect flanks the creative axis of your horoscope making this the perfect moment to bring something spectacular into being, and it certainly gives you the necessary 'umph' to get moving on a project close to your heart. I do not always encourage extravagant gestures but this is one occasion upon which you should put your all into your endeavours, especially those that demand a certain level of faith. If nothing else this is a great week for a party and to make a new acquaintance who could open up many avenues for you.
Giving it your all.
12th December 2005 - 18th December 2005 You may already know that at the time of the full moon you are prone to sharper emotional extremes - warm and welcome events generate wonderful feelings while the slightest problem sends you tumbling down a gloomy spiral - and since Thursday's full moon is up close and personal with planet of the deeps, Pluto, the extremes will be even sharper. This would be an ideal week in which to dump some emotional baggage and to put an end to a lingering problem on the work front. It is also a time when getting rid of dead wood of any description will have an entirely liberating effect. Memories you will always have, clutter and debris you really don't need.
Eliminating the negative.
19th December 2005 - 25th December 2005 The hard work is over: it's time to enjoy yourself - and in some cases in a very romantic way. On the 21st the sun enters the zone of love and relating setting the stage for some special events between now and late January. And even though Venus, the planet of love, turns retrograde on the 24th, you will still be in a season when new relationships begin and old ones regain some of their original sparkle. However, if a working or romantic association appears to cool before the end of December or someone you love fails to live up to expectations, remain optimistic and light-hearted: by February things will change yet again.
A loving Christmas
26th December 2005 - 1st January 2006 Just in time Venus slips back into the seventh house to make this one of the most romantic and certainly emotional New Years of the decade. These next seven days are eventful to say the least and even if you have nothing penned in the diary, a telephone call or exchange of information looks set to give you something to think about. Mars and Saturn may produce and obstacle of sorts, if only a sudden lapse of confidence or a post-Christmas attack of indigestion! But by New Year's Eve close relationships become the centre-point, whether you have an opportunity to affirm your love to someone or because you are ready to make a big commitment.
Cupid is waiting in the wings.
2nd January 2006 - 8th January 2006 Mercury, the communicator, now joins the sun and Venus in the relationship zone so should your love life be in need of help you aren't short of planetary support. The emphasis is on talking the talk, so wounded silences or keeping your distance are not the best policies. If someone is proffering an olive branch or trying to open up a dialogue, at least be prepared to listen. And although this trend may apply first and foremost to a romantic relationship it could also be relevant to a working or family association. This may be a cliché but it is too soon to draw a line in the sand - there is more water to flow along the seashore of life.
Lend an ear.
9th January 2006 - 15th January 2006 This could turn out to be a very important week for many Cancerians, especially those with birthdays in mid-July. Planets in the area of love and relating inspire happy social events and give you some excellent opportunities to network or meet new people. More significantly, the only full moon in your sign this year takes place on Saturday, empowering you and thrusting an established relationship into the spotlight. This would be a perfect moment to exchange marriage vows or join an organization, yet if a relationship has been in difficulties this same full moon could push it over the edge. In the event of the latter, don't assume you have reached the end of the story.
A big week.
16th January 2006 - 22nd January 2006 These are the perfect stars under which to take a vacation from reality; they are not the ideal influences with which to thrash out an agreement or, indeed, make anything solid and durable. Thus, if you are about to head out for a holiday retreat or taking some time off from the rat race, you'll be able to chill without a conscience. However, if you were hoping to make serious headway, especially with a financial matter, expect to be somewhat frustrated in your efforts. In a few short weeks this complex alignment will be over and what currently appears to be making no sense at all will be thoroughly understandable.
Suspend disbelief.
23rd January 2006 - 29th January 2006 Light-hearted exchanges are not suited to Saturn so if you have a pressing issue on your mind, now is the time to unload it! Technically, the area of finances is in the frame here making this a good week to tie up any financial loose ends and to face some economic facts. However, should you need to talk money with partners or people to whom you are close, do your best to sideline emotions and focus on the figures. In an ideal world you would be getting rid of a heavy burden this week and streamlining one or more aspects of your life, but if instead you are forced to take on a heavier responsibility, do so in the knowledge that your efforts will pay off in years to come.
Making sense.
30th January 2006 - 5th February 2006 You may have to do some serious number crunching this week, and under less than ideal conditions. You may be without all the figures and you could experience a difficulty tracking down the necessary people. If you are currently engaged in a purchase of a property or dealing with a settlement of any description you will need to be sure that all the paperwork is correct. People may not intentionally wish to deceive you but sloppy arithmetic and poor research could lead to a loss. And on a personal level should someone's behaviour be mysterious to you, don't press the panic button or order the champagne just yet...
Appearances are misleading.
6th February 2006 - 12th February 2006 The subject of money has featured once or twice recently so hopefully you have resolved a financial dilemma and already put your finances onto a stronger footing. However, if you are still in a state of confusion about the best way to proceed with a monetary matter, you may have to request more time to think. There is a possibility of mistakes and confusion this week, and while your long-term prospects (and not just where money is concerned) are good you may not be able to trust your judgment or the information you are receiving now. Much the same could also be said of a close working or romantic relationship.
Play for time.
13th February 2006 - 19th February 2006
For once, the most romantic planet of all, Venus, is exactly where she should be - in the zone of love and relating. So, if nothing else, you cannot blame your stars for any disappointments this week. You may find that you have to do nothing at all, merely wait and see what offerings of love come your way, on the other hand, one of the methods of receiving what you want is to give of yourself freely... There is also an element of surprise to these stars, which may come in the form of a message, a conversation or en route to a far-off place. And with a full moon opening to the week, the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one is writ large in the heavens.
New territory.
20th February 2006 - 26th February 2006 Whatever last week's stars did for you in the way of love and togetherness, this week's offerings are a vast improvement. Thus, if someone failed to make you feel loved and appreciated efforts could be made to set matters to rights, and if you received everything you wanted and more, you get to bask in the glow of success now. This is also an excellent period in which to see more of your world, whether you make a working trip or take off for a vacation. Only occasionally do the stars serve up a delightful feast like this, and at the very least you should take the opportunity to do something that makes you feel glad to be alive.
A happy heart.
27th February 2006 - 5th March 2006 For much of March the area of far horizons will be in the spotlight so if you haven't yet booked that foreign trip maybe this week's alignments will get you moving and motoring. On the other hand, perhaps a change of outlook has more to do with the way you are looking at the current state of your life. Sometimes it is hard to admit that an old habit or a familiar situation is no longer supporting your needs, and could in fact be preventing you from finding genuine happiness and success, so the opportunity offered to you now is to recognize the difference between a rut and a justifiable commitment. To a certain extent there is an element of fate to these stars but as always, you do have a choice as to where you go from here.
Changing your view.
6th March 2006 - 12th March 2006 The sun, Jupiter and the moon are perfectly placed to give you a moment of pure joy, and should you be considering making an offer or asking for a favour, the 9th is the day to go for. Indeed, so bountiful is Thursday's configuration that it may well override some of the more challenging effects of Uranus and Saturn this week. This would be an ideal time to visit a place you have never seen or do something you have never done before, however it is not the best moment to act on negative feelings or allow your frustrations to get the better of you. What happens during the next seven days sets a new life trend in motion: there is a genuine before and after feel to events.
A window of opportunity.
13th March 2006 - 19th March 2006 Although this week's astrology is far from easy, you have the ability to distance yourself from any flak that may be flying or to view events from a philosophical perspective. A combination of a lunar eclipse and Pluto brings buried information to light and enables you to throw out that which is rotten at the core and embrace that which is worthy. Should you have dealings with important people this week, prepare yourself for a tough ride, although you have success within your grasp. Likewise, if you are travelling, expect some delays or diversions, whether circumstances beyond your control interfere with your plans, or you make an error of judgement.
Meeting the challenge.
20th March 2006 - 26th March 2006 The sun arrives at the mid-heaven of your solar chart where it can brighten your career prospects and certainly put energy and light where it is needed most. You are, in fact, at the beginning of one of the most ambitious phases of the year, and with a solar eclipse about to take place in this same area, especially if you have a June birthday, fate may shortly play a big part in bringing about an offer or change regarding your job. This is a particularly good week for talking money and promotion with employers and for making a financial possibility a reality. You may also receive some moneys from an unexpected source. Don't let a negative thought enter your mind.
A positive development.
27th March 2006 - 2nd April 2006 A total solar eclipse on the mid-heaven of your solar chart breathes new life into your hopes, dreams and ambitions. But maybe in ways you did not expect. It is very easy to become stuck in grooves because they represent safety and security yet this is often at the expense of personal or professional fulfilment. And, at present, this tendency applies first and foremost to a job and secondly to the domestic arena. The time has come for a change, and the chances are that circumstances beyond your control will inspire that change. But just in case you have been mulling over the prospect of a new job or different home location, let me give you a gentle push.
New directions.
3rd April 2006 - 9th April 2006 I would not describe these stars as unbridled joy, although they will remove a mountain or two! Throughout the last few weeks you may have been toying with the idea of making a big life change, but so far you have resisted. This week's events, however, may prove to be the last straw, or the final push, depending upon your perspective. This is the right time to alter a fundamental strut in your life wheel and to let go of those things that have done their work. It is not the right time, to argue with anyone or anything bigger and better than you. Once you have made your move, all that follows will be easy.
Letting go.
10th April 2006 - 16th April 2006 On the 14th Mars enters your sign just in time to provide you with the necessary courage and drive to tackle anyone and anything, and, if necessary, to mount a rescue and recovery mission. This is the beginning of a six-week period in which you can achieve much, whether your career is the focus of your ambition or something a little more personal. With this in mind, Thursday's full moon highlights the axis of life-direction, signalling the end of a pattern of life, first and foremost regarding your job, and second home and family life. Do not be afraid to break the rule book, nor to cut yourself free from an unwanted commitment.
Done and dusted.
17th April 2006 - 23rd April 2006 You are the master of the sideways move, but you're going to have to be fast on your pincers this week in order to avoid a clash, most probably of ideas, so it might be prudent to have any hot topics discussed as far away from the china cabinet as possible. Of course, you would prefer to have time to think through an offer or change of plan but on this occasion you are going to have to follow your gut feelings. Perhaps it isn't wise to burn all your bridges and turn someone you need into an adversary; then again sometimes showing other people what you're made of gets results. By Wednesday Venus will be back on duty, sweetly soothing troubled waters.
Voting with your feet?
24th April 2006 - 30th April 2006 This is far from a jolly cosmos, although you can cut a swathe through a pile of work and you will discover the truth of a situation. Saturn and Pluto share the honours this week, and while the former can bring structure and longevity to what is put in place and the latter can add depth and great meaning to events, these two planets rarely spread sweetness and light. If you have to sign on the dotted line now, you can do so in the knowledge that the decision will prove lasting - ideal for marriage or the purchase of a property - but if something goes by the board now, it is probably over and done with forever.
Done and dusted.
1st May 2006 - 7th May 2006 A delicious alignment brings out your spirit of adventure and helps you to see the best in people and situations. These are perfect stars upon which to embark on a journey or bring something new into being, so none of that clinging on to the past like a barnacle - your moment of liberation has arrived. And even if events of the next seven days do not light up your life like a Christmas tree, in time to come a happy development will surely have its origins in this period of time. 2006 has been a tough year so far, so make the most of your opportunities to get a plan back on track or to pour soothing oil on a troubled relationship.
Positive feelings.
8th May 2006 - 14th May 2006 If you wake up on Monday morning with the strangest sense that all is not as it should be, Neptune has you in his thrall, however, should you be convinced that there is only one action to take about a matter, then Saturn is in charge. But whether you're deeply conflicted or absolutely certain my advice is to bide your time. Both Saturn and Neptune are dominating the axis of self-worth, so there is an equal chance of making a serious gain now as there is a loss, and should someone be unprepared to wait for you to reach a decision you are comfortable with, this could well be the deciding factor for you. Good things and good people come to those prepared to wait.
Take your time.
15th May 2006 - 21st May 2006 If you experience a sense of winding down or an inexplicable need to tuck yourself away from the hurly burly of life, you are responding to the arrival of the sun in the reflective and reclusive zone of your horoscope. Ideally, you should now be taking time out to prepare both inwardly and outwardly for events set to come in from late June so don't fight any of those hermit crab instincts. This week doubts may be raised over the viability of an endeavour or you could feel somewhat confused about someone's behaviour: while not wishing to undermine your excellent judgment try not to act on any negative feelings, at least until you have rock solid evidence.
A time to step back.
22nd May 2006 - 28th May 2006 Venus has been gracing the area of ambitions for some weeks now so although you may not have gained promotion or succeeded in achieving a major goal, you may well have impressed the powers that be and drawn closer to an eventual triumph. The theme of efforts being rewarded is playing long and loud this week, so it is not too late to approach someone in a position to help you fulfil an ambition; on the other hand, a window of opportunity could suddenly present itself. Until the sun enters your sign in late June you may not be able to see the promise in current developments, but somewhere something good is taking root.
The promise of things to come.
29th May 2006 - 4th June 2006 You appear to be in a state of transition: something may well have ended recently and you may be unsure as to what (or who) will be a replacement. Ideally, you should hold your horses for the moment, even if you feel a certain pressure to reach a decision - to make a definitive move now could mean reversing that decision later or making considerable re-adjustments. On the 3rd, Mars vacates your sign taking the heat out of certain situations and allowing you to pause for breath. Mars will now set his sights on finances, making the next six weeks a premium period for earning more money and attacking financial problems.
Keep your options open.
5th June 2006 - 11th June 2006 There is a lot to be said for the philosophy of non-attachment, especially when Uranus has a part to play in the astrological story - once you no longer covet something it no longer has any power over you. With this in mind, set out on the week ahead with a mind-set that says: anything goes. You may find that what has to be jettisoned is an outdated opinion or a time-wasting strategy, but even if you have to get rid of a more substantial item, this act of letting go will create a vacuum in which new, more prosperous and certainly more appropriate ideas can take root. Go with the revolution, don't fight it.
A new leaf.
12th June 2006 - 18th June 2006 Do your best to separate fact from fiction and avoid seeing that proverbial glass half-empty as opposed to half full. A combination of planetary factors is making the going particularly tricky this week, and the best way to handle people and events is with a good heart and a steely resolve. Finances look to be top of the pile when it comes to making expedient decisions and being economical, although anyone who makes a demand on you now or any situation that threatens to draw heavily on your reserves should not be given in to - put matters on hold or negotiate until you find a mutual comfort zone. Not all the pieces of the puzzle have appeared yet.
Standing your ground.
19th June 2006 - 25th June 2006 On the 21st the sun enters your sign and gives you back your vitality and sense of direction. During the last few weeks ideas have been percolating in your unconscious and other people have been beavering away in the background to please and surprise you, and you may just get a hint this week of what is about to manifest in reality. There are also signs that a financial matter is nearing completion, and should you have been concerned about money now is the time to talk to the professionals and set up new agreements. While keeping within your limits is advised - and we're not just talking finances here - under no circumstances must you underestimate your value or potential.
Making deals.
26th June 2006 - 2nd July 2006 There is a connection between the events of early March and those of late June/early July. A project begun then could now reveal its true potential and if an idea was hatched in March but disappeared off the radar, it may well be back on board. This is an extremely auspicious astro-scape, so you can be confident that planned events will go off well and those things that come into being will have a successful outcome. Your powers of creativity and self-expression are at a peak at present so don't hide behind that shell of yours - go forth with enthusiasm and in the knowledge that at the very least you'll be enriched by your experience.
Nothing ventured; nothing gained.
3rd July 2006 - 9th July 2006 In a perfect world, you'd be on holiday, with nothing more pressing on your mind than what to eat for dinner, but if you are looking at a packed diary of events, start as you mean to go on and don't leave anything or anyone to chance. A surprise could be on its way, and it may come from someone in a distant place or it could inspire an unexpected journey. And, in general, this is a week when events motivate you in new directions. Furthermore, while this is a period in which to open yourself up to different experiences, where finances are involved, it would be better to play for time before committing yourself to a major purchase, investment or agreement.
Pause for thought.
10th July 2006 - 16th July 2006 Tuesday's full moon brings out the strengths and weaknesses of a relationship. On the one hand, the time may have come to put a romance onto a long-term footing or to form a working alliance, and on the other, a partner's or associate's actions could leave much to be desired, causing you to question your allegiance. A Venus-Pluto opposition also ups the emotional amps, leading to intense discussions and all or nothing actions. The only problem with obeying your feelings is that once you have made a statement there will be no going back, or if in the future you do want to re-think your actions you can expect to pay a high cost.
The end of the matter.
17th July 2006 - 23rd July 2006 On the 19th, Venus enters your sign for her annual visit during which you should find life improves by leaps and bounds. The first item on her agenda may well be your image, so while some Cancerians will benefit from a blast of retail therapy or a trip to the hairdressers others will receive information that enhances their professional or personal image. Romance is another aspect of life that could be back in style, so don't underestimate the power of charm and flattery to obtain your heart's desire. And although there could be some irritating delays and mis-communications to contend with this is nonetheless a sweet and promising period of 2006.
Making the most of your assets.
24th July 2006 - 30th July 2006 Venus is the bringer of harmony and love - a factor you may come to appreciate now, especially if your birthday falls on or near the 1st of July. At the very least, this week is all about discovering the joy of life and finding reasons to count your blessings but at best an out of the blue development could set your heart racing and your happiness barometer soaring. Planned events of all kinds are under gorgeous influences but this loving climate is particularly suited to weddings and anniversary celebrations. There are no guarantees in life and love, but whatever is signed and sealed under these stars deserves all your faith and hope.
Believe in love.
31st July 2006 - 6th August 2006 This should have been an excellent two-week period for you - the planets have been perfectly aligned since late July and continue to preside over welcome events. But just in case you're singing the blues, let me assure you that unbeknownst to you something good is gathering momentum. In some cases, what is developing behind closed doors has a distinctly financial aspect to it; in others, someone who has displayed friendship and kindness to you may be nurturing far more passionate intentions. Don't be afraid to make a bold move this week, or to demonstrate your true feelings - you'd be surprised how people respond to a definite lead.
Exude Positivity.
7th August 2006 - 13th August 2006 Extreme strangeness is the signature of your stars this week - what once seemed certain could suddenly be up in the air and other people could let you down for the weirdest reasons, and at the last moment. Finances look to be centre stage of any peculiar developments, and if you are intending to sign an agreement or make a significant purchase, the small print requires great attention. Likewise, a working or intimate relationship could encounter a rut in the road. Since Neptune is involved there is a real chance that information has gone missing leading to deep misunderstandings so before you write off an association or an endeavour be sure you have all the facts.
Slippery dealings.
14th August 2006 - 20th August 2006 Money is the subject of your stars this week - how to make it, spend it and resolve a problem. While you may be tempted to splash out on an expensive item or to agree to a large loan, you must be absolutely sure that you can live with it for a long time. Perhaps this is obvious to a cautious and thrifty sign like yourself, but there's something deceptive about these influences that could interfere with your good judgement. Likewise, should someone be making promises, be sure you have everything in writing, and a large safety net. I don't mean to burst your bubble, merely appeal to your innate common sense.
Check that impulse.
21st August 2006 - 27th August 2006 If you were hoping for a straight-forward, no nonsense kind of week, forget it: the ministry of disinformation is back in business and the most watertight plan could turn out to have a leak. That being said, with a relaxed attitude to life and love, and a preparedness to adapt to the twists and turns of events, you may well end the week on a wonderful high. Try not to take people at their word - statements made in the heat of the moment could have no foundation in truth - and negative or fearful opinions should be ignored, unless they are backed up with real facts. Like all sunshine and rain scenarios - what you ultimately end up with is a rainbow.
Always look on the bright side.
28th August 2006 - 3rd September 2006 You may not always relish surprises but with Jupiter and Uranus focussing their brightest and best on your sign, on this occasion you could be highly delighted with the unusual and the unexpected. Certainly, this is a week to head into new territory and to break with some old traditions, and even though some of the other planets are not so perfectly aligned you should emerge from most situations smelling of gardenias. Much of what is happening in this late August/early September period represents the ending of an old order and the emergence of the new, and you may just have to remind yourself that progress always involves leaving something or someone behind.
Look to the future.
4th September 2006 - 10th September 2006 This month, two eclipses on the axis of communications send you in new directions, a theme you may discover already playing long and loud this week. You may receive surprising news or a journey could prove eventful, and, one way or another, you should reach the weekend with a new perspective, even a change of heart. Indeed, there is nothing wrong in re-thinking a plan or deciding on a controversial move - under these stars, you get to see life in a new light. Go-getting Mars arrives at the base of your chart on Friday, setting in motion a six-week period of major domestic activity, some of it inspired by an announcement from a member of the family.
A change of course.
11th September 2006 - 17th September 2006 There will be no pussy-footing around matters this week: you'll have to call a spade a shovel and reveal your true colours. The area of communications is in the spotlight, and it seems the onus is on you to open up negotiations and take the major steps. Journeys will leave a lasting impression, and a visit to a distant place may well lead to permanent changes; likewise, a discussion or item of information could greatly affect your opinion of someone or something. Cancerians do not as a rule relish change and the unexpected but you may have no option other than to head in an unfamiliar direction now - and it could be the making of you.
A different outlook
18th September 2006 - 24th September 2006 At the very least you can expect a change of rhythm and tempo this week, but at best, an offer or invitation may suddenly appear. This opportunity could involve travel or bring you into contact with people from afar, and even though you might nurture reservations about accepting the offer, with an eclipse presiding over events, you may really have no choice. Indeed, there is a somewhat fated quality to life at the moment and you will have to trust your deepest instincts as opposed to listening to the advice of others, who could, of course, have reasons of their own for holding you back. Words and deeds take you far now.
A leap of faith.
25th September 2006 - 1st October 2006 There is nothing light and frothy about this astro-scape - it's as deep and meaningful as it gets: it's perfect for making a statement from the heart and for doing anything that promises to bring about permanent change. The areas of communication and work are in the frame so, although a love affair could reach a turning point now, you are more likely to be dealing with some interesting developments on the job front. Since you are a cautious sign you may not need me to urge you to think carefully before arriving at a conclusion but you may need my encouragement to consider that there is more to a situation than people are telling you.
Tip of the iceberg.
2nd October 2006 - 8th October 2006 The celestial Crab is a sea-creature, responding to the ebb and flow of the tides; you are a lunar being, driven by your feelings and powerfully affected by other people. A full moon, therefore, is a time when you are at your most intuitive and effective, yet also at your most irrational and vulnerable - something to bear in mind towards the end of the week. Saturday's full moon flanks the life-direction axis of your solar chart, signalling the end of a year's cycle related to your career and/or your mainstream ambitions. On the one hand, a goal may now be within your grasp, and, on the other you may be considering leaving or changing some aspect of your job. Either way, look forward, not back.
Moving on.
9th October 2006 - 15th October 2006 Neptune's passage through the area of finances has made for muddles and mysteries from time to time, but now this planet starts to reveal its more helpful side, producing one of those breakthroughs, or at least throwing some light on a once dark and difficult situation. If a property transaction has caused some problems recently, going back to re-negotiate could be the answer; likewise, someone who may have seemed impervious to your needs and opinions could be persuaded to change his or her mind. There is everything to be gained from revisiting old issues and nothing to lose from trying once more.
A second chance.
16th October 2006 - 22nd October 2006 A new moon at the base of your chart signals a new beginning, first and foremost in regard to the home and family. Perhaps you are already involved in making domestic alterations, or maybe a house move has been discussed, in which case these stars provide some necessary rocket fuel. On the other hand, it may take an out of the blue event to signal a new cycle. Sometimes Cancer has a difficult time shedding the past and embracing the new and the different, but under these gentle influences you can move from one phase of existence to the next with grace and ease. A new chapter is opening. Enjoy.
A fresh start.
23rd October 2006 - 29th October 2006 Ease and unbridled joy are not words that describe this astro-scape: effort and seriousness are. Thus, if you have commitments to meet and a major challenge to fulfil, you have the perfect stars for the job. On the other hand, should you be hoping to be let off the hook or that people will praise your every move, you're going to be a little disappointed. Bringing a labour of love into being is another theme for the week ahead, whether this applies to a personal or professional endeavour or a something a little more pro-creative and romantic. And although the going may be hard, signs of success are just around the corner.
A hard day's night.
30th October 2006 - 5th November 2006 With the current emphasis on creativity and pleasure, this should be one of more productive and enjoyable periods of the year, however, dreary Saturn is also at the party so a small black cloud could be circulating over one or more situations. Whatever Saturn is revealing as a problem has much to do with timing: put another way, if someone is proving impervious to your charms or an endeavour is not coming together as you expected, time is all that is needed. On the other hand, you could be exaggerating the negative to the detriment of the positive. Be practical but positive, strong but adaptable.
Surely, the glass is half full.
6th November 2006 - 12th November 2006 You may find people extra sensitive this week; you may even find them difficult to fathom. Likewise, life is anything but black and white, only confusing shades of grey. Thus, start as you mean to go on and take nothing to heart. Absorb information and listen to others but avoid committing yourself to an action or an opinion that you cannot reverse. On the plus side, there is far more sympathy and compassion to go round so wounds can be healed and relationships mended. Indeed, rather than focusing on the rights and wrongs of a situation, finding it in your heart to forgive (even if you cannot forget) could set matters beautifully to rights.
Shifting sands.
13th November 2006 - 19th November 2006 Put practicality before possibilities and you won't go wrong; believe that something can right itself without one shred of solid evidence that it can, and you'll be paying the price for a while to come. Saturn's position in the area of self-worth will help you get your finances in shape, it may even enable you to become rich, but reaching this happy state will require religious attention to every last penny. So, if a tempting offer appears now or someone gives you a hard luck story, please keep your hand in your pocket. Likewise, should someone let you down and follow up with a thin explanation or a promise that it will never happen again; don't be fooled.
Getting real.
20th November 2006 - 26th November 2006 There is nothing ordinary about this week's stars: they're exceptional. A combination of rule-breaker, Uranus, and over-the-top, Jupiter, means that the people you meet and the events that happen will be super-sized and very different. This would be an ideal moment to bring a new venture into being or break free from the past, and should someone make a move that appears to take away your safety net, consider that you have been liberated, not punished. And even if the week ahead contains no such ground-breaking development, unbeknownst to you something is taking root that will change your fortunes in the future.
Larger than life.
27th November 2006 - 3rd December 2006 It is important to acquire balance at any time but especially during this roller-coaster week. While you may be very clear in your mind about what you want and what is the right way to deal with a situation, others could be less convinced, which could be the reason you are not receiving answers. On the other hand, people could have their facts and figures wrong. Thus, if you receive a bill or some other piece of information that flies in the face of your expectations, before you press the panic button, make the relevant enquiries. On the plus side, this is the right time to have a rethink and to consider a major change in policy.
Remaining centred.
4th December 2006 - 10th December 2006 Even if you have a clutch of happy gatherings ahead of you, there will be some developments that make you think long and hard about your priorities and the future. It may be that an event in someone else's life triggers such thoughts, or you yourself may have reason to rethink one or more of your hopes and plans. Technically speaking, the area of work is in the mainframe so that changes in a company or your working routine throw you out of kilter. On the other hand, you may reach a conclusion that unless you do something radical, nothing will ever change...
Making changes.
11th December 2006 - 17th December 2006 This is a busy season and for some reason - not guilt, surely? - you have put yourself in the role of doing more than anyone else. If there is time to stop this act of martyrdom, do so immediately because with romantic Venus entering the zone of relationships things of the heart and the spirit are about to become the real priority. If you're looking for love you have your best chance of the year of finding it, and if your relationship has seen better days the next few weeks offer you a serious opportunity to bring back the magic. So, forget that list of duties - delegate them or defer them - and focus on what really matters - the L-word.
Finding the love.
18th December 2006 - 24th December 2006 Your first task of the week is no task at all. Put another way, stop piling the pressure on yourself and start to enjoy the season of good will - some of those jobs can be delegated and the world won't come to an end because everything isn't perfect. All right, the planets are doing their best to set our teeth on edge but they can also help you change the habit of a lifetime. Work appears to be the focus for Pluto's transformational 'energy', so if there's turmoil in the office or panic stations at the supermarket, smile sweetly and rise above the fray. On the other hand, if a crisis does arise, forget the prognosis for the time being and concentrate on the practicalities.
Boiling point.
25th December 2006 - 31st December 2006 If the pressures of Christmas are getting to you, take a moment to look at Venus in the night sky because she is doing her best to bring love into your life. You may be among that clutch of celestial Crabs for whom this is the most romantic Christmas ever, perhaps since you are with your new love or because a proposal is shortly to come; then again you could be about to meet the one under the mistletoe. And even if you feel love has soured or that your nearest and dearest leave much to be desired, there's a great deal of joy to be had by giving of your heart. One way or another, you too will receive a present that will pluck at the heartstrings.
The joy of giving.
1st January 2007 - 7th January 2007 Whatever New Year's Eve produced in the way of proposals and affirmations, Wednesday's full moon in Cancer (the only one in 2007) is all about closing a chapter. And what follows? A new one. Now, I know how your sign treasures the past and loves all that is safe and familiar but after last year's ups and downs you must have realized that the old ways are not always the best ways. Thus, it may be appropriate to distance yourself from certain people who have proved themselves unworthy, and align yourself with those who are full of value. Even in a minor way this start to the year is all about relationships - the good, the bad and the unsustainable.
Who loves you, baby!
15th January 2007 - 21st January 2007 Relationships have been in the frame for the past few weeks, but now with the arrival of sexy Mars in the zone of relating and a new moon therein on the 19th many Cancerians are on the threshold of major developments. Admirers will be ready to reveal themselves and if you've been waiting for your significant other to make a move, your time on hold is over. Not that Mars is only about spicing up your love life... This planet can put other people on a war footing so don't be surprised if an associate or a partner becomes less easy to deal with and somewhat aggressive in their demands. And, in a few cases, over the next few weeks a competitor or an enemy could make life rather difficult.
Spice or splice?
8th January 2007 - 14th January 2007 If you've been avoiding a large task or side-lining a difficult decision, Mars and Pluto will help you step up to the plate. On the other hand, should you be looking forward to a week of pleasure and ease, you could be in for a rude awakening. With life returning to normal after the holidays a matter that should have been dealt with before Christmas may now demand attention or news that was withheld could surface. But whatever causes ripples on life's still pond you have the resources to deal with it. Indeed, what may seem initially to be a less than welcome development could in fact be a huge advantage.
It depends how you look at it.
22nd January 2007 - 28th January 2007 Finances are under the combined aura of Saturn and Neptune, so if you do nothing else this week be sure to add up the figures very carefully. Money could go missing whether a bill you have paid is disputed or a financial transaction does not go through, and you'll need to be extra protective with your valuables when you're out and about. And even if your finances are in safe hands, you should be on the alert for mistakes and mysterious developments. In some ways this astro-scape lends itself to settlements and agreements, so it would be an appropriate time to sign on the dotted line, yet if something smells a little fishy, don't leave it to chance.
No loose ends, please.
29th January 2007 - 4th February 2007 A full moon on the financial axis of your solar chart enables you to resolve a monetary matter and tie up loose ends. And given that last week's stars were full of mystery and mistakes you now have the opportunity to establish the truth and set matters on a new course. On the 3rd, an harmonious link between Jupiter in the area of work and the sun in the fiscal zone could signal a salary increase or some other positive material development, and if you've just begun a new relationship these influences will shape its course very nicely. Do I have a worry? Only that with your innate caution you run the risk of missing this boat of opportunity.
Riding the wave.
5th February 2007 - 11th February 2007 What fun! Saturn, Neptune and Uranus are gathered together to create as much mischief as they can so although you may reach the end of the week without a run-in with anyone or a derailment of any description, other people will not be bending over backwards to accommodate you. There could be some controversy over a financial matter or someone may fail to fulfil a promise but whatever looms over the horizon as a failure to please problems can be resolved with time and good will. One person you can always rely on is yourself but even the best of people may let you down under these stars.
The good, the bad and the downright disconcerting.
12th February 2007 - 18th February 2007 You may already sense that this year Valentine's Day is going to be really special. Certainly, it seems someone has something very important to say to you and more than one offer may come your way this week. The only problem with this astro-scape is that Mercury, the planet of communication, goes into reverse thrust on the 14th, thereby cautioning you that decisions made between now and 7th March may need to be revised later. This does not mean an event will have to be cancelled or that someone will break his or her word, but it does suggest that there will be alterations to plans and in some cases rather a delay.
Taking time.
19th February 2007 - 25th February 2007 Your deepest feelings are likely to be elicited at this time, so if you are heading into meetings at work or dealing with people who and organizations that require ice-cold reasoning, reschedule. By contrast, a dialogue with someone you regarded as a friend could bind you much closer together. These intense influences bring out the best and worst in people and events, yet they also have a highly therapeutic effect in that you can rid yourself of emotions and beliefs that serve only to hold you back. At the very least take a moment during the week ahead to seek out something that has seen better days and bin it or recycle it.
Deep and meaningful.
26th February 2007 - 4th March 2007 Full moons on the axis of travel and communications preside over conclusions, whether you reach the end of a long journey in terrestrial terms or arrive at a solid understanding. However, this full moon is eclipsed so the theme of endings and beginnings is more profoundly etched in your stars. If you are ready to change a pattern of life this is the time to do so and even if other people become the catalyst of unwanted change, you should try to see events as a blessing not a curse. In twelve months time you will realize that what happens now has taken you to a new place, either in terms of geographic location or psychological and spiritual growth.
Signing off.
5th March 2007 - 11th March 2007 You may need to throw caution to the winds in order to make the most of these opportunity-laden influences. Venus in the zone of career and life-goals aligns with Saturn in the area of self-worth and Jupiter in the work sector: a promotion could be in the air and this is certainly the moment to flaunt your assets, whether in the personal or professional sense. All right, March does have its potential potholes but if something shows even a glimmer of promise right now you should not delay your response. No one got anywhere without taking a risk from time to time.
Carpe diem.
12th March 2007 - 18th March 2007 You could be at a highly successful point of the year. Work and finances are in the main frame, and even if you do not receive an offer you cannot refuse you should have the courage and confidence to market your considerable assets. (Bravery is always rewarded, whether you achieve an ambition in the near future or a little further down the line.) The theme of going far may not just apply to your career, however, and if you are making a journey to a distant or unknown destination it promises to lead to more permanent changes, and certainly a difference in your view of one or more current situations in your life.
Making gains.
19th March 2007 - 25th March 2007 Not for the first time are there opportunities to be had by expanding your territory, whether in the sense of work, relationships or lifestyle. You may go for many months, even years, with life on the same trajectory then suddenly something happens to change that course. And this could be one of those times. Certainly, this is not a period in which to hang on to tired old habits and cling to people who and situations that represent safety alone. Should someone be making life very tiresome for you at present, a change of tactics is necessary: in some cases a clean break will be for the best but in others going on the offensive will totally alter the dynamics of the situation.
Taking charge.
26th March 2007 - 1st April 2007 Last minute decisions could work in your favour. It may be that a friend gives you an invitation which requires an immediate response or you may suddenly decide to take a break, very possibly to foreign parts. And should you not have made any plans for Easter you may be surprised at what comes up during the next seven days. With Uranus residing in the area of distant horizons you are being encouraged to broaden your life palette, whether you do so by travel, working with international organizations or heading in new directions in the personal or professional sense. And this is one of those weeks when opportunities to spread your wings appear in abundance.
Taking off.
2nd April 2007 - 8th April 2007 Monday's full moon brings a matter to a conclusion - or at least what appears to be a conclusion. Since Neptune, the planet of illusion, is also in the frame solid facts and figures are needed to support any kind of understanding or agreement. Your high hopes may indeed be realized, now or in the near future, so do not let your spirits slide should there appear to be a hiatus. Problems can be rectified. This is the right time to consider shedding a load that has become too heavy or taking on a fresh commitment that will add to your status, your prospects and your overall success. It is also the right time to stretch your boundaries, whether in the sense of people, places or goals.
A glass half-full .
9th April 2007 - 15th April 2007 Forget all that Cancerian self-deprecation - your light will not shine out of your shell unless you make it happen! All right, these expansive influences may coincide with an offer that you cannot refuse, but if you are seeking promotion or you wish to impress someone now is the time to get out there and shimmy. Discussions with superiors can be turned to your advantage and should you not receive the response you were hoping for do not compromise your gifts for the sake of security. Like the sea itself there is tremendous energy in the biggest waves so don't be afraid to make a few and empower yourself in the process.
No half-way measures
16th April 2007 - 22nd April 2007 A truly remarkable line up of planets could represent a major turning point, first and foremost in regard to money and work. You may be a water sign, Cancer, and therefore sensitive, cautious and receptive but you are also Cardinal and thus ambitious and self-motivated. With this in mind, take courage in both hands and make a bid for the success you so greatly deserve. An employer or organization can now be approached with a view to promotion or salary increase, and should you have been concerned about your future a discussion with those involved should put your mind at rest. This is a good week by anyone's standards: it's time to make it happen.
Catching the wave.
23rd April 2007 - 29th April 2007 Once again it is the area of work and life goals that receives the benefit of these exciting influences. It may be that a job opens up for you in an unfamiliar area or that changes in a company mean the way in which you work and with whom will be somewhat different. Certainly, these stars are full of change and innovation - something about which Cancer is not always an enthusiast. Nonetheless, it is time you looked at one or more parts of your life with an eye to improvements, and the remedy is not to resort to a sad old recipe but to try something entirely new. The weekend is a premium period for embracing people who and activities that take you into foreign territory.
Breaking with tradition.
30th April 2007 - 6th May 2007 Full moons tend to up the emotional amps thus interfering with your usual good judgement and making you hyper-sensitive so especially on Wednesday avoid those situations that and those people who press all the wrong buttons. And in general this week, keep reminding yourself that your reaction to events may be disproportionate to their reality. This full moon, however, has very creative properties by which I mean something you have been labouring on for some time is ready to be delivered. While some Cancerians may indeed be about to hear the patter of tiny feet others will see a measurable result for their efforts.
The results are in.
7th May 2007 - 13th May 2007 There are no easy options at the moment, and you cannot scuttle away and hide under that shell of yours. People need to know what you think and even though you have friends and colleagues who will give you counsel, ultimately it's you who has to make the decision. Yes, you may be in two minds about whether to stick with a situation or walk away from it, but consider this: you cannot remain with someone or something just because it is the easier option. A hard decision made now will save you endless hassle in the future. And the good news? Gorgeous Venus enters your sign on the 8th intent on bringing extra stores of love and good luck into your life.
A turning point.
14th May 2007 - 20th May 2007 On the 15th Mars temporarily takes up residence in the area of life-goals so you can look forward to a six-week period of great activity, first and foremost in regard to your career. It may be that recently you have been in discussion with certain individuals or that you have been putting together some plans but nothing solid has yet materialized. However, everything may change this week. A sudden turn of events is in the stars, whether you see a way to bring about the changes you desire or because someone else creates just such an opportunity for you. And in general this is a week when there appears to be a surprise around every corner.
A change of outlook.
21st May 2007 - 27th May 2007 You're going to have to feel your way with people and events. Whatever the appearance of a situation there could be something very different at the heart of it. Now, of course, this trend can work in two ways: contrary to initial impressions a negative could turn out to be a positive and vice versa. Part of the conundrum is that you yourself may not be as sharp and focused as usual, therefore it is better to keep your options open and to avoid divulging an opinion. Once Mercury, the communication chief, arrives in your sign next week what currently is shrouded in a veil will be easier to see, and you will be on firmer ground all round.
Appearances are deceptive.
28th May 2007 - 3rd June 2007 On the 29th Mercury, planet of communication, enters your sign giving you a voice with which to air ideas and possibilities and encouraging you to go outside your usual territory, whether for business or pleasure. Indeed, you may have been sitting on a plan for a while, waiting for the perfect moment to bring it into reality, in which case now is that time. Do your best not to let doubts enter your mind and try not to end up on the defensive: other people will be impressed by your vitality and conviction. Choose Friday to set out your stall.
Making your pitch.
4th June 2007 - 10th June 2007 Venus may be leaving your sign but she will dropping her charm particles on financial matters, and for the next four weeks. Since you are one of the thriftier signs you may need a little encouragement to spend money on yourself but any investment made now, whether it be a new outfit or a course to add to your skills, will prove highly worthwhile. There are also hugely positive influences surrounding work and life-goals so if you are currently job-hunting, expect the best from this week's searches and in general this is a time when you can move your career up a notch and make the most of your talents and connections.
Rising to the top.
11th June 2007 - 17th June 2007 Mars, currently bringing professional matters into the spotlight and urging you to pursue your ambitions, forges encouraging aspects to planets in the area of finance. This may translate as a sum of money reaching you or a positive outcome to a meeting over finances. However, should you have been dithering about discussing your salary with an employer or exploring work possibilities elsewhere, go into action this week when you have the wind in your sails. Mercury, planet of communication, will be heading backwards from Saturday, so don't be deflated if your questions do not receive an immediate answer.
Making your wishes known.
18th June 2007 - 24th June 2007 On the 21st the sun enters your sign. Your batteries are recharged and you are ready to take on the world, if necessary. And with Pluto as master of ceremonies this week, all that extra energy and drive is going to come in handy. Maybe a big task lies ahead of you or perhaps you have been waiting for a verdict of sorts; either way, what happens now could alter part of your life map. There is also much to be gained by confronting a worry or dealing with a situation that or a person who has been causing trouble. I wouldn't call this a light-hearted week but when you step up to the plate in any way, you're always a winner.
Tremors.
25th June 2007 - 1st July 2007 Full moons evoke your strongest emotions and bring out your best and worst. With this in mind, please keep a box of tissues at the ready over the weekend. Some Cancerians will be celebrating a birth or a marriage while others will be overwhelmed at the thought of leaving behind a part of their past. And for all, this period of the year offers opportunities for reflection and reappraisal. Now, if you are brimming over with happiness, enjoy every moment but if you are feeling as blue as blue can be, try not to exaggerate the situation. In a few short weeks what currently seems so difficult will be manageable, and poignant memories will be replaced by feelings of hope and happiness.
Closure.
2nd July 2007 - 8th July 2007 In an ideal world you'd be taking a break but if you're still manacled to the treadmill and at everyone's beck and call, try to separate what is urgent from that which can be delayed and deferred. Mercury has a matter of days in which to bring you some information that will make a big difference to a current situation, and while this information may appear by e-mail, letter or conversation it is more likely to come to you through a dream or a gut-feeling. There is some history behind someone or something and by removing yourself from the minutia of daily routine, you will make a discovery for which you will be very grateful.
Research, research.
9th July 2007 - 15th July 2007 One or more aspects of your life is about to turn the corner. Perhaps you have been working in a behind-the-scenes way to get an endeavour off the ground, or maybe you have been waiting for someone to give you the right signal but whatever has held you in check for a while is no longer hampering your progress. A journey takes you to an unknown destination, whether this translates as your travelling to a place you have never seen before or because you reach an understanding that will in turn affect your long-term future. The cosmos is urging you to look beyond the end of your nose for solutions and personal fulfilment.
New destination.
16th July 2007 - 22nd July 2007 Someone or something is persuading you to step out of your comfort zone - and it is all for the best. Now, this may translate as a short season of travel and exploring new places or it could mean that you are being invited to take part in activities that stretch you in some way. The new and the different are set to enter your life this week and although initially you may be suspicious of what is involved you should not reject the experience out of hand. This is yet another reminder that without change there can be no growth, and, if you look back on your life you'll see that the brave decisions you made were almost always the best ones.
Taking a chance.
23rd July 2007 - 29th July 2007 You are being divinely inspired at present so don't be afraid to acknowledge your feelings and to act on your intuition. And this advice may prove particularly appropriate where finances and/or friendship are concerned. It may be that someone close to you is experiencing money worries and that simply by sharing those concerns with you is helped to find a solution, and certainly a better perspective on the situation. Then again it could be you who needs to find an answer to a pressing financial problem, in which case, the solution lies in an unorthodox direction. Under no circumstances must you allow yourself to give up or give in.
Have faith.
30th July 2007 - 5th August 2007 Saturn casts an aura of reality over your affairs, whether this means you have to do some number-crunching in order to get your bank account back in balance or because you need to get rid of the rose -coloured spectacles that are blinding you to the actuality of a situation, or more probably the reality of a relationship. This process does not have to be painful, however, because once you know what is what you will be able to make some sensible decisions. Matters can be settled at this time so that in some way you are unburdened. What you don't want to do is start apportioning blame: work with what you've got or move on.
Being real.
6th August 2007 - 12th August 2007 Issues related to your self-worth take the top spot this week. On the one hand, you can add to your bank balance by a wise investment or because you receive a bonus of some description, and, on the other, you may have proof positive that your value is above rubies! The area of work is also in the limelight, and if you've been wondering when would be a good moment to approach the boss for a rise or seeking to add to your income and status now is that time. And even if you don't get instant positive feed-back, your efforts will not have gone unnoticed. Some people might call it striking while the iron is hot.
Making your pitch.
13th August 2007 - 19th August 2007 Not for the first time this year have issues revolving around your self-worth arisen. Thus, it may be that a situation that has gone through many incarnations, so to speak, is about to undergo another. Finances require careful treatment this week: agreements must be checked for loopholes and demands made on you need examining for their accuracy. Also, valuables require extra protection and purchases could come with more of a cost than is visible on the price-tag. Then there's the kind of worth that concerns your value as a person. Other people may not always recognize your gifts so should you feel rejected in any way, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get into your Dolce and Gabana's!
A question of appearances.
20th August 2007 - 26th August 2007 Sun-Saturn conjunctions may not be the most 'fun thing' ever but they do have a purpose: they can set an agreement in cement and they can eradicate doubt. With this in mind have every confidence about financial moves accomplished this week and if someone makes you an offer or a threat, do not doubt its authenticity. By contrast fortunate Jupiter is presiding over a bumper bundle of some description and urging you to push the boat out when it comes to people you love and projects in which you believe. In time to come you may have cause to regret what you did not do now, not what you did.
Taking a big step.
27th August 2007 - 2nd September 2007 Hopefully you haven't earmarked this week for a bit of a rest, because if these stars have anything to do with it you'll be dashing off in six directions at once and declaring that you've had enough surprises to last a lifetime. The unexpected and the unusual are the flavour of the week, whether you yourself are compelled to make a radical move or because you receive news that alters your opinions and your timetable. Bringing a little more order and balance to life is the arrival of Saturn in the zone of communication; on the one hand inspiring you to take your gifts a lot more seriously and, on the other, helping you find your feet on rather shaky ground.
A week with a difference.
3rd September 2007 - 9th September 2007 Change is all well and good when you've had a long time to think about it and it's done with your consent but this is not the kind of change for which Uranus is noted. This planet likes to shock and amaze, and certainly awaken you to feelings and understandings that you never had before. In an ideal world you'd be travelling to a distant destination and discovering the joys of travel but there are other ways in which your world view can be altered, perhaps by being forced onto a brand new course or to accept that what may have worked well in the past is no longer cut out for the job.
Moving with the times.
10th September 2007 - 16th September 2007 You are about to make a journey you did not expect. This may mean you will be travelling due to unexpected circumstances or a sudden realization on your part will drive you to the discussion table. Indeed, the most important journeys are the ones you will make in terms of consciousness and understanding. Solar eclipses act like beacons illuminating the landscape and enabling us to see our life situations in a new light, and, although Cancer is reluctant to remove what has been in place for years, this is the correct action for now. All new things have to prove themselves over time but that's no reason to hang onto to something that is clearly done its day.
Blazing a fresh trail.
17th September 2007 - 23rd September 2007 Getting from A to B, both in terms of putting your ideas across and travel, could have its little problems. Fortunately, you are a sensitive, cautious soul and unlikely to be the cause of any consternation but you may run into roadblocks created by others. There is no point trying to get around any red-tape at present - bureaucracy rules, OK! - but you may find that any current obstacle can be negotiated and resolved at a later date. Another key theme for the week is discovering information that was either lost or deliberately concealed, and although you may not like what you find, you will be a position of knowledge, which always makes you stronger.
Discoveries.
24th September 2007 - 30th September 2007 Events over the past few weeks may have had the effect of making you deeply unsure about your
future. You may even have experienced a sense of impotence. But this phase is over, thanks to
champion Mars racing into your sign on the 29th. This planet will give you the courage to do
what must be done and to defend those things which are close to your heart. All right, you may
not have as much time as you would like for rest and relaxation but the gains you will be making
will be worth your pains. Wednesday's full moon has a part to play in bringing to a close a
small chapter of the year, although for some Cancerians, especially the June birthdays, this
week marks the end of an era.
Get up and go!
1st October 2007 - 7th October 2007 Are you feeling energized, full of determination? With Mars just beginning its tour of duty in your sign you are at the start
of a six-week period during which much can be achieved so the sooner you get behind your ambitions the better. Don't waste
time dwelling on what didn't work out but on what can benefit from your ministrations. The areas of work and money are
well-starred, whether you receive financial or professional proof that you are appreciated or you take advantage of this
cosmic tailwind and ask for a raise or some other kind of monetary fillip.
In charge of your own destiny.
8th October 2007 - 14th October 2007 There you are, all raring to go, and suddenly the cosmos slams on the brakes ! Put another way, Mars is providing you with the energy and drive to achieve an ambition or three while Mercury goes into reverse thrust, causing communication gaps and general delays. Not to worry, what refuses to come together during the working week may well profit from a little more time, and you too could benefit from a pit-stop. Not that everything is in dead-slow-and-stop mode : a legal matter could be set in stone and you can have confidence in agreements signed and decisions made. They may take time, but they're built to last.
Mixed signals.
15th October 2007 - 21st October 2007 The static surrounding you has disappeared so you can let down your guard and begin to feel a lot more positive about life, love and the rest. Indeed, by taking this information on board you can now mount a successful attack on anyone or anything representing a thorn in your side. Not that aggression is strictly necessary. You'll get far further by offering a carrot than by applying the stick so even if it goes against your entire philosophy of life were you to make sweet sounds in someone's direction now he or she would at least stop and take note. Also, not for the first time has the past a big part to play in current developments...
Making sweet music.
22nd October 2007 - 28th October 2007 A gestation period is at an end. An idea that has been incubating for some months is ready to be aired or a casual relationship is about to move on to a more serious footing. And for a few Cancerians a new baby is on its way. All new endeavours, however welcome, generate a degree of stress, sometimes even a little pain, but you are being urged to break with tradition and head into unfamiliar waters, regardless of how scary it all feels. Wherever age you are in life, whatever your goals, your talents or your circumstances, these stars are pointing to new directions and fresh possibilities. Set your sails.
Up anchor!
29th October 2007 - 4th November 2007 You tend to wait for other people to show their hands before you reveal any hint of your intentions but you need to be a little more open and adventurous now. A timid approach will fail to launch your biggest dreams and a show of strength and commitment will work wonders in almost any situation. Of course, these encouraging stars may well work all by themselves producing turn-arounds and welcome news but rather than trust to the lords of luck, get behind your own success. Ideas and endeavours begun this week have the equivalent of a tail wind behind them and a warm and confident manner will win hearts and minds.
Positive thinking.
5th November 2007 - 11th November 2007 There is a change of rhythm and focus in the stars, and it appears to be time to move on to other matters, time to plough your energies in other directions. It also seems as though you are ready to clear out some old debris, whether this translates as emptying a cupboard, getting rid of ideas that are simply not working or removing yourself from the company of someone who is bringing out your most negative feelings. Once you have binned the old you'll be ready to start anew. Friday's new moon sends out this message loud and long, so if you suddenly feel the desire to begin a new project or you are ready to reinvent yourself, you're on to a good thing.
Sweeping the board clean.
12th November 2007 - 18th November 2007 Mars, currently in your sign, turns retrograde on the 15th thereby changing the energy of one or more situations. Also, while you may have been on a battle-footing recently, all charged-up and ready to go, there is now a need to pull back and reflect on how far you've come and what remains to be done. Should a situation have to be placed on hold, it may take until early next year to get back on track and should you be experiencing doubts about the wisdom of an enterprise, in a matter of months you will feel different again. In some ways this is a rather confusing period of the year; all the more reason, therefore, to do nothing if you know not what to do.
Holding firm.
19th November 2007 - 25th November 2007 If you find yourself gazing at your reflection and wondering whether you can still fit into your favourite outfit or you're no longer sprinting out the door but dragging yourself through it, the planets have arrived just in time to help and heal. The sun's arrival in the area of health and lifestyle highlights problem areas and gives you the focus to set wrongs to rights. To add to the fun, Mercury is in perfect alignment with Uranus and Mars encouraging you to think outside the box and to head along untried routes for solutions. Don't let a doubt enter your mind: you can accomplish great things under stars like these.
Shaping up.
26th November 2007 - 2nd December 2007 The start of the week is an excellent time to return over old ground. You can wallow in nostalgia, reconnect with an old friend or you can review a matter that you had consigned to the dustbin of history. And, with your discoveries a progress of sorts will be made. In some cases closure can be experienced and in others the foundations of a new beginning can be laid. Indeed, with Venus happily ensconced in the zone of home and family, this is an ideal time to beautify your surroundings and achieve balance and harmony within the family circle: you may also be ready to move into new accommodation or to welcome a new person into the fold.
Conclusions.
3rd December 2007 - 9th December 2007 This is an astro-scape with attitude. You won't be able to circle around issues nor will you be able to hide from someone who really needs an answer. So, right from the start of the week, decide on your position and be ready to argue your point, come what may. The main problem is that Uranus, the innovator, and Saturn, the traditionalist are sharing centre stage, so everyone is feeling pulled in different directions. This trend could be particularly apparent at work so do your best to inject humour into any contentious situation and try not to take anything too personally. As they say: least said, soonest mended.
Knowing your mind.
10th December 2007 - 16th December 2007 If you have been working your way towards a specific target you may well reach it this week. There is enough energy in the cosmos to
launch a thousand ships of dreams, yet, by the same token, if you are way off course, you will be made sharply aware of the fact.
Rumours of change, especially on the work front, may now be confirmed, and, if there has been anything of a power struggle in progress,
matters reach a crescendo now leading to a major shift in the balance of power. This is not a time for half-measures, nor is it a
time to skirt around the edges of situations: get out of your shell and show the world what you're made of!
Getting there.
17th December 2007 - 23rd December 2007 On the 18th Jupiter enters the zone of relating all set to bring about welcome developments in regard to relationships in general and your love life in particular - and during the course of the next twelve months. Yet for some Cancerians such happy events will come about in the next two to four weeks. Nonetheless, this is not a lightweight week and should a job suddenly be placed in jeopardy or something else perform an unexpected U-turn, remain calm in the knowledge that you will triumph over adversity - in fact these events serve to prepare the way for an infinitely better situation to take its place.
The beginning of great things.
24th December 2007 - 30th December 2007 You're going back in time. It may be that you connect with people you haven't seen for ages or that the season itself plunges you into a pool of nostalgia. Nonetheless, with warrior Mars in your sign you will need to fight a desire to control everyone and everything - just let events unfold and allow other people to step up to the plate. The full moon of the 24th is in your sign so it is bringing a relationship full circle. In some cases this means that you are about to become engaged or married and in others it is time to move on to a new cycle in your love life, which may mean letting someone go. And for all, this period of the year finds you a little teary, whether with happiness or regret.
Closing a chapter.
31st December 2007 - 6th January 2008 Hopefully, you have planned a quiet start to the New Year because these are not the aspects upon which to take on a major challenge. You could be a little under the weather and your understanding of a situation may not be all that it could be. And even if you have perfect equilibrium the chances are the people with whom you are living and working will be anything but amenable and good company. However, once you have embraced these factors you will no doubt be able to turn things to your advantage, whether that means leaving other people to do the hard work and gaining time to consider your next best move.
Taking it easy.
7th January 2008 - 13th January 2008 The area of relationships continues to sparkle. A new moon sets a fresh year-long cycle in motion so take note of signals sent to you this week because they could be portents of beautiful things to come. And while this may mean great events for your love life do not exclude relationships of other kinds. Discussions taking place now could lead to signatures on contracts of a business or professional kind. Indeed, work is also in the frame: there could be new people to deal with and new routines or technology to take on board. And, if you've been seeking a more stimulating environment for your talents, be careful what you wish for...
Nothing stays the same forever.
14th January 2008 - 20th January 2008 Two weeks into the new year and it seems party time is here again. Aside from a special occasion
that may have been in the diary for months a warm and wonderful development on the work front
could be the cause of some very good spirits. Indeed, work itself may take second place to
romance now. The only downside to these loving stars is that issues related to gender may also
rear their ugly head, by which I mean sexual politics may get in the way of fair pay and fair
play. If this trend concerns you directly, don't go on the defensive because a strong line
will defeat any attempts to undermine you and if it involves others, keep out of it.
Heartfelt matters.
21st January 2008 - 27th January 2008 Pluto's entry into the seventh house of your solar chart begins a new era for your love life. However, since this planet will take some
sixteen years to transit this area don't expect to see fireworks any time soon, unless, of course, your birthday falls on or near 21st
June. You will know whether or not you are under Pluto should there be a significant development in a relationship now. Certainly, emotions
will be running high this week and even apparently minor events could represent the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Not that this is a prospect
to fear, more a signal to look deeper into the meaning of people's actions and statements.
Deep and meaningful.
28th January 2008 - 3rd February 2008 A divine conjunction between Venus and Jupiter in the area of relationships could move a romance in a direction you will like. This is the
perfect moment to say yes to someone who loves you and to make your interest known to a person who as yet is not in your life. Indeed,
with but a couple of weeks to go before Valentine's Day, there could be a flurry of activity going on in preparation for a big
romantic moment. This planetary couple can work wonders for a relationship in distress too, so don't be too proud or too keen on
revenge to rebuff the advances of a partner who has not been in your best books.
Make love, not indifference.
4th February 2008 - 10th February 2008 Solar eclipses begin new cycles, in some cases a year-long cycle but in others eighteen-years, so people who enter your life now or endeavours that are begun will have a huge effect on your life. For some Cancerians this eclipse portends key financial developments; for others, there will be major relationship issues and for all new thoughts and feelings will affect the way you interact with people, especially those with whom you have a financial or sexual relationship. Nonetheless, with Valentine's Day looming ever nearer these stars could be pointing the way to a romantic development, which will make you very happy indeed.
Starry stars.
11th February 2008 - 17th February 2008 You will not be able to blame your stars for any failure to launch a romantic dream. Venus is gracing the area of relationships giving her blessing to any weddings or engagements and generally speeding the course of love. Clearly, not every Cancerian is going to be gazing into the eyes of a beloved but you are being encouraged to believe in love, regardless of the disappointments of the past or present. The one red flag being waved concerns money and the signing of financial agreements - be sure you have an escape clause and that you have a route to recourse should other people fail to deliver their part of the bargain.
That loving feeling.
18th February 2008 - 24th February 2008 Full moons often make you more emotional but when they are eclipsed the flood gates will be ready to burst! Of course, events could inspire
tears of happiness but should something not go quite according to plan, do your best to remember that least-said-soonest-mended is a
wise aphorism. Journeys could be particularly tedious, and much the same could be said of discussions and dialogues - they'll take
forever and joy will be in short supply. On the plus side, a contract can be signed now and a legal matter enforced - just don't expect
to be jumping up and down with delight for the time being. That'll come later.
Making do.
25th February 2008 - 2nd March 2008 Knowing you have money in the bank and a solid future can make up for a lot of other problems in life so if part of the recent cosmic storm has
been about finance here come some calmer waters. An agreement can be made between you and a partner that will please you both and if you have
been waiting to hear whether or not you have been successful in a property matter or in being accepted for a loan, you should have positive news
this week. There are many factors that make this a time of peace and prosperity so even if you feel you are justified in your anger and hurt it
might be worth seeing what a softening of your heart will achieve.
A gentle thaw.
10th March 2008 - 16th March 2008 The letter of the law may have more significance than usual for you. Maybe you are making a relationship legal or perhaps you are putting your signature to a contract that will tie you
up for many years, in which case you have Saturn's blessing. On the other hand, you could be facing a situation that makes your heart sink, either because it involves a great
deal of bureaucracy or it brings an end to something for which you once had high hopes. This is the nature of Venus and Saturn - to reveal what is lasting in life and love, and
what patently is not. Fortunately, you have Jupiter waiting in the wings, so any dispiriting developments will prove short-lived.
Signing up.
3rd March 2008 - 9th March 2008 Mars enters your sign bringing with it reserves of strength and releasing your fighting spirit but
before you take on the world please be sure you know what you might be up against. Friday's
Mars-Pluto opposition is the stuff of confrontation but while it is good to face up to a situation,
going into battle could lead to some ego-bruises at the very least. Obviously, if you've done
your homework and you're ready to kiss goodbye to a way of life or an association you have the
cosmos right behind you; otherwise use your familiar pincer-like movement and watch what the
opposition does. And although you may have nothing to complain about right now, other people may not be
having so much fun...
Battle stations.
17th March 2008 - 23rd March 2008 When the going gets tough, the tough get their act together. Water may be your element and
the reason you're so sensitive but you are a Cardinal sign and Cardinals are fighters
and achievers. So, if you are presented with an unpalatable truth this week or some
situation goes belly-up, remain upbeat and philosophical. A relationship may have
reached make-or-break point or someone could be making life very difficult for you
but whatever is putting you on the defensive can be dealt with. Then again, you could be
about to take a mighty step that is entirely welcome. Certainly, this is not your average
week but one you're likely to remember for a long time.
A turning point.
24th March 2008 - 30th March 2008 You may be one of the more traditional signs of the zodiac but this is no reason to reject something out of hand, simply
because you've never experienced it before. You are in a period of rapid growth, some of it spurred by your own
ambition and the rest by circumstances beyond your control. Thus, you should welcome the new and the different however it
comes in and whomever inspires it. Unions formed at this time and events set in motion will change your life for the better
and they'll certainly add richness, texture and variety to existence. And if you've never done anything that could
raise an eyebrow, prepare to see some shocked faces.
Taking the plunge.
31st March 2008 - 6th April 2008
Caution is the cornerstone of your character and this is no time to remove it! What happens this week may
well relate to an incident that took place at the beginning of March: perhaps you had a difference of
opinion with a colleague or loved one or maybe you met someone who stirred your passions; then again, it
could be that an idea or feeling surfaced which you repressed almost immediately. Whatever the case,
something has come up to be reconsidered, and this time you may have to take action. A new moon is a
signal of a fresh start so however stormy life may be at the moment you should keep your eyes trained on
your bright future.
Reviewing the situation.
7th April 2008 - 13th April 2008 Monday sees the last in the current series of aspects to Pluto. Thus, you may be at a point where
contracts can be exchanged and the lid finally closed on a matter. And although the latter part of March
may have produced events that challenged you in some way, you should be beginning to see the benefits
therein. For some Cancerians a new relationship is creating great change in your life while others are
having to work through a trying time with a partner but whatever is causing ripples will in time prove to
be a blessing. Indeed, thanks to Jupiter's input this week, you may be already in celebration mode...
A ray of hope.
14th April 2008 - 20th April 2008 If the past four weeks have seemed like nothing but hard work and problem-solving, the pay-off could be about to begin. The first development you may notice is that certain people will stop being so obstructive and difficult to handle; a bond of friendship can be re-established and a foe turned into an ally. And this trend could prove to be most helpful in regard to your career or your long-term future plans. Sunday's full moon ends a gestation period, signalling a delivery in the near future, whether this implies a release from a painful situation, the birth of a beautiful new venture or the successful culmination of a project that has taken many moons of effort.
A result!
21st April 2008 - 27th April 2008 These last few weeks may have seen a very different you - far more feisty and direct: you have
not been afraid to state your case and go for what (or is that who?) you want. However, it
may have taken until now for you to see some real results. You have luck on your side this week,
although, in reality, it will be preparation finally meeting opportunity, thus, don't at the eleventh
hour suddenly experience an attack of self-doubt and disappear into your shell. Courage breeds
success and however events pan out you will come out of them with more than you had before, and, more
importantly, you will have risen in more that one person's estimation.
Going for gold.
28th April 2008 - 4th May 2008 Throughout April an harmonious alignment has been focusing on the relationship zone, revealing to you
those in whom you should place your trust and, in some cases, producing offers that may have delighted
you. Now Venus, the planet of love, adds her special brand of magic making this one of the best periods
of 2008 to marry or reach decisions of a romantic nature. It is also a prime time to commit yourself to
an agreement of a professional or financial nature. However, with mysterious Neptune in the mix, do look
carefully at the small print in contracts and don't accept a verbal statement without checking its
veracity.
Being sure.
5th May 2008 - 11th May 2008 Love and friendship make a perfect marriage. On the one hand, you may discover that a friend or colleague has
romantic feelings for you; on the other, you could find that a lover/partner is, in truth, your very best
friend. Certainly, there is much to be gained from putting two heads together in order to attain a much, much
better result. Jupiter's passage through the zone of relationships may have brought new and worthy people into
your life this year but if your circle of admirers has not been added to, keep your eyes (and your heart)
open. This is a highly propitious time for meetings, mergers, marriages and making merry!
Team work.
12th May 2008 - 18th May 2008 Yet another week in which great progress can be made with a business partnership or a romantic liaison. Venus and
Jupiter are in harmony, which in turn, creates a highly favourable climate for discussions, agreements and the
making of commitments. Indeed, I'm tempted to say that you should let caution go to the winds because there may
not be many other opportunities this year to make the most of your professional and romantic connections. And even
if this forecast does not quite meet with your experience of the week ahead, those things you set in motion will
lead to success and happiness in the future.
Seizing the moment.
19th May 2008 - 25th May 2008 Do your best to detach your emotions from the events of the week ahead. On the one hand, you may need to give of your very best, therefore the more focus you have the better but, on the other, should a situation appear to be heading in a direction you do not like, the more clarity you have, the less likely you are to make a decision you could come to regret. Not everything is quite as it seems - indeed, other people could have their facts completely wrong - so there is much to be gained by delaying your response. Keep your sights on Jupiter who's mission this year is to show you that there are good people out there.
Reserving judgement.
26th May 2008 - 1st June 2008 Little is quite as it seems so before you press the panic button do some research. Especially on Monday everything will take t-i-m-e. The roads and the airways will be as congested as the information highway, and reaching your destination could tax the great patience of the persevering Crab. And should someone appear to be putting some distance between the two of you, avoid becoming paranoid and assume that a breathing space will only serve to strengthen the bond and clarify your feelings for each other. The next three to four weeks represents a time of retreat and reflection, and you should make the most of it, rather than fight it.
Save your breath.
2nd June 2008 - 8th June 2008 Your intuition may well be informing you that something good is in the pipeline, and you'd be
right, although it could be a few more weeks before you have proof in your hands. Until planets work
their way out of the secretive twelfth house it will be hard for you to get a grip on certain factors
and there is a trend for behind-the-scenes developments. First and foremost this applies to a
relationship, so, if currently you are exchanging meaningful looks with someone new, your feelings will
be reciprocated and, should you be conducting a love affair in secret, be aware that other people could
be in the know.
Subtle signals.
9th June 2008 - 15th June 2008 You could be feeling left out of the loop, by which I mean it may seem as though you are not being told
the whole truth and nothing but the truth. There is certainly a fine mist surrounding your life at
present, although what happens this week and next will probably provide the clarity you need. On the
other hand, if you are feeling vulnerable and uncertain of your own position on a situation, there is
no point trying to come up with an answer at this stage. Time spent in reflection will not be wasted.
Should information emerge now that throws you into a temporary spin, wait until the dust has settled
before taking action.
Take your time.
16th June 2008 - 22nd June 2008 You may have reason to remember the events of this week for a long time to come. Perhaps a celebration
lies ahead or maybe you have an important meeting in your diary, but whatever you have planned expect
to be powerfully moved. During the past few weeks you may have experienced some doubts about a
situation or you could have been trying to figure out someone's actions; either way you will be
w hole lot nearer the truth by the 22nd. Positive disclosures and discoveries can be made in this
astrological climate but perhaps the most significant truths to emerge will be those about your own
heart.
Epiphanies.
23rd June 2008 - 29th June 2008 After last week's stirring alignments you get to take a pit stop and consider your next move.
There is so much that is great and good about your horoscope at the moment that even if you feel you
are in a trough of low pressure, this is only your perception of events: what is really happening is
that opportunities are coming your way and in order to embrace them one or two situations have to be
sidelined or left behind completely. A discussion with someone of knowledge and influence could be on
the cards and taking advice from a person whose opinion you trust is advised. Sometimes enlightenment
comes with a cost...
Finding your feet.
30th June 2008 - 6th July 2008 A new moon is the sign of a new chapter. Perhaps you understand this already because you are beginning to change a pattern of life, or maybe circumstances beyond your control are heading you towards new personal or professional avenues. On the other hand, it may take events of the next two to four weeks to bring about beneficial changes – and, indeed, this is what they are even if at first you do not see anything advantageous whatsoever about them. Romance is in the spotlight too – perfect if you're making your vows this week and very promising should you be taking the first tentative steps along the path to true love.
Promise of things to come.
7th July 2008 - 13th January 2008 A little over six months ago the sun conjoined Jupiter starting a brand new cycle of abundance and growth so now, as the sun opposes this mighty planet, you get to see the fruits of your labours. There is a sense of being at a half-way point, a time of assessment as to how best to manifest your hopes and dreams. Whether or not you have a special occasion this week you should take the time to congratulate yourself on your triumphs, no matter how small, because during the next six months you will be able to build steadily on those successes. And if you experience something of a setback, get back in the saddle immediately.
Self-belief.
7th July 2008 - 13th July 2008 A little over six months ago the sun conjoined Jupiter starting a brand new cycle of abundance and growth so now, as the sun opposes this mighty planet, you get to see the fruits of your labours. There is a sense of being at a half-way point, a time of assessment as to how best to manifest your hopes and dreams. And if you experience something of a setback, get back in the saddle immediately.
Self-belief.
14th July 2008 - 20th July 2008 Friday's full moon highlights the relationship axis of your solar chart and signals the end of a year-long cycle. It is time to bring an end to any hostilities and to start again with a clean slate. Now, Cancerians do not come easily to the notion of burying the hatchet but this you should aim to do under these magnanimous influences because you will gain far more than you lose in the way of hurt pride. By contrast, some celestial Crabs will be ready to take their vows or make a gesture of faith in the future of a relationship. Indeed, you should have confidence in offers and proposals made now - they will take you far and add richness to your life.
Action-backed hope.
20th July 2008 - 27th July 2008 Not given to blowing your own trumpet or showing your hand before others have done so you have much to gain by taking the initiative and making your voice heard. Mars is in the ideal place to get you moving on plans and projects, in some cases taking you way out of your comfort zone. So, if you have been putting off a meeting or delaying a journey, it's time to get motoring. Finances could also be in line for improvements, with some Cancerians receiving a surprise windfall and others discovering a new way around a monetary impasse. There are good people and positive influences in your life right now – never forget that.
Getting moving.
28th July 2008 - 3rd August 2008 Ruled by the moon, you respond to its waxing and waning cycle like a veritable sea-creature so when a solar eclipse looms into view you sense deep within your core impending changes, although you may not know precisely what they are. Top of the list for seminal developments are finances and, second, a close relationship. This eclipse may signal a forthcoming marriage or separation, an unexpected windfall or major item of expenditure. But whatever comes into being suddenly and without prior knowledge has as its signature this eclipse. You are in good hands, Cancer: embrace change because it is in your very best interests.
A new page.
4th August 2008 - 10th August 2008 Planning a nice relaxing week? Hoping that all your ducks will remain in a perfect little row? Well, probably not under these influences. What you will be able to do, however, is change the way you have been handling a situation, especially one with financial or romantic overtones. Some fresh thinking is required and once you bring some new ideas into the forum there will be positive movement. Not that the week ahead is going to be without controversy. Uranus and Neptune will be doing their best to upset the apple-cart, whether someone pulls out of an agreement or circumstances beyond everyone's control forge the postponement or cancellation of an event.
Choices.
11th August 2008 - 17th August 2008 A financial matter that arose at the beginning of the month can be settled now, and, generally speaking this is a week in which monetary loose ends can be tied up and issues with financial overtones resolved. But while this is all very positive the week is not without its difficult moments. You may not be able to get where you intended to go and other people will not be in a mood to give generously so from the outset be prepared to be very accommodating and understanding. Also, what emerges in the way of truth and feelings has the capacity to change the course of a planned event or a relationship. Keep your heart and your mind open.
Closing a chapter.
18th August 2008 - 24th August 2008 Seeing the world from a new perspective is the theme of these stars. On the one hand, you could be travelling to an unfamiliar destination and, on the other, events could force you to look at a situation with a very different pair of eyes. Unfamiliar people and places rarely make the celestial Crab feel comfortable but you appear to have got into a bit of a rut recently which is preventing you from fulfilling your potential, even fulfilling your destiny. So, if you have a chance to sample new fare of any description, take it. And should an event be cancelled or you receive an unexpected result consider that the cosmos is opening a door, not thwarting you at every turn.
A new view.
25th August 2008 - 31st August 2008 Getting from point A to point B could be problematic. Travel itself could involve delays and
detours but it is more likely to be dialogues with others that present the greater potholes.
Sometimes the celestial Crab is as tied to its views as it is the past but you will make
more progress and find life generally easier if you are prepared to shift a die-hard
opinion and allow others some slack. Pluto brings suppressed issues up to the surface and
generates passionate feelings all round so you can only benefit by remaining serene and
philosophical. This has been a tough old month but once September is under way you will see
that much of what has happened has been to your benefit.
Reflection before retaliation.
1st September 2008 - 7th September 2008 If you're planning to take a long trip you're in synch with your stars. A sun-Saturn conjunction in the zone of travel and dialogues is indicative of a journey covering many miles and it also means that discussions with others, while being somewhat tortuous, will take you far. Jupiter adds his twopence worth ensuring happy landings and, provided everyone involved is prepared to be generous, there could be some joy in the bargain. Certainly, events should not be viewed through a dark and pessimistic lens: there is much that is great and good in this astro-scape, which, if you shift your position, should be glimpsed immediately.
A matter of perception.
8th September 2008 - 14th September 2008 You may prefer to have the luxury of time to consider other people's suggestions and proposals but the wise Cancerian takes a leap of faith and goes with its heart. There is considerable planetary activity in the area of home and life-foundations so while family events could be taking over the routine round other kinds of changes could be interfering with your timetable and your plans. What other people are bringing to the table now is offering you a release and a new way forward, and if this entails a shake-up on home ground the long term benefits will far outweigh any temporary inconvenience or loss of composure.
A new view.
15th September 2008 - 21st September 2008 This is an excellent week to put your signature to a contract or sign off on a professional or personal commitment. A journey may well be involved, whether you have to travel some distance to sign on the dotted line or because you must go further than you thought in terms of acceptance and understanding. Cancer experiences great difficulty in letting anything go but as you know travelling through life with more and more baggage only slows you down! Thus, enjoy giving the old heave-ho to an ancient relic and don't have a moment's lapse of confidence about losing someone who or something that simply wasn't in your league.
Done and dusted.
22nd September 2008 - 28th September 2008 If you are house-hunting you may find yourself falling in love with
a property. Already a sign that feels its way through life, you should
have extra faith in your instincts this week because they are leading
you in the right direction. And while finances and material concerns are
by their very nature practical and real, a move based on intuition as
opposed to solid evidence could change the whole dynamics of a
situation. It might be worth bearing in mind also that a difference of
opinion may have nothing whatsoever to do with the issue in question but
something lying deep below the surface of a relationship...
Feelings count.
29th September 2008 - 5th October 2008 If you find yourself looking around your home and considering that a fresh coat of paint and a new sofa wouldn't go amiss, it may be symptomatic of a more profound need for change. A new moon at the base of your horoscope rouses you into wakefulness so that you are compelled to look at aspects of your life with a different pair of eyes, and change will inevitably follow. Yes, it may be time to move home or switch the furniture around but it is also time to stop assuming that you are stuck with a certain state of affairs forever. You are a Cardinal sign and the Cardinals are movers and shakers: Go move and shake. Please.
Intimations of change.
6th October 2008 - 12th October 2008 Gestures of good will go along way in this climate. Indeed, sometimes by withdrawing a demand or or giving way to someone else's wishes you receive even more. So, whether you are in negotiation with a company or an individual and you don't seem to be getting anywhere, a more generous stance could work wonders. And although not everything will be plain-sailing this week, it is a period in which things of the spirit count for more than hard facts and figures. You might find also that your love life benefits from your being more adventurous and at least prepared to consider alternatives.
Another way forward.
13th October 2008 - 19th October 2008 If you feel you've been in limbo land for the past few weeks your exit visa has arrived. Mercury springs back to direct action, clearing up mysteries and enabling you to get from A to B without going through the whole alphabet! Home affairs look to have been at the centre of any confusion or delay so a decision on a property or a resolution to a family matter could be on its way. Tuesday's full moon is another sign that a phase of activity is drawing to a close, whether this is simply a seasonal effect or something a lot more meaningful and longer lasting. Either way, it's good to clean house and put those things that have served their purpose into storage.
Clearing up; clearing out.
20th October 2008 - 26th October 2008 Giving people the benefit of the doubt may not always be a wise practice but allowing someone a second chance to right a wrong or prove himself/herself in some way is the way forward for now. An offer may seem too good to be true but to dismiss it out of hand would be a mistake. By all means do your research, put in place some guarantees but give the situation a shot. Now, this advice may apply to a love affair or a working relationship but whatever comes up this week in the way of opportunities and new ideas has the capacity to make you happier and more successful in the long run.
Give it a go.
27th October 2008 - 2nd November 2008 Keep your eyes open for signs and signals regarding finances. Perhaps your intuition informs you that something is about to
happen; if so, obey those instincts whether this involves speaking to a financial institution or someone with whom you have
financial interests. Then again, there could be rumours of change, which will be confirmed, even as early as next week.
Whatever the case, now is the time to act rather than allowing matters to drift on unchecked. Likewise, should you sense
changes in an intimate or working relationship do not ignore them but take positive action.
Striking while the iron is hot.
3rd November 2008 - 9th November 2008 It could be a case of one-step-forward-and-two-back at the moment so try not to become too frustrated when events don't quite go your way. Far better you know now that something cannot work or that someone isn't quite who you thought he or she was. Aside from the general trend for reversals and re-thinks you may have been in a state of denial about a situation so however painful it may be to have to cut your losses in the long run you will be better off. Indeed, finances and a relationship could be at the heart of this week's developments and although you may feel you have been misled or let down there have been some red flags...
An awakening.
10th November 2008 - 16th November 2008 Thank goodness for your intuition and your innate caution - this is a climate in which the usual signals fail and very
little adds up the way it should. If your gut feeling informs you that someone is not being honest or that a situation is
far from solid, do the necessary checks and cover your back. And should you sense that another person has feelings for you,
despite evidence to the contrary, follow your instincts. The only problem with obeying a hunch is that should it be
regarding finances it may be better to hold off taking action for a week or so. This is a particularly tricky time for
making investments or tying yourself into long-term monetary agreements.
Making the infamous pincer move.
17th November 2008 - 23rd November 2008 Other people could be creating financial muddles or spinning you stories such that you run the risk of making a move you could come to regret. If you are indeed in doubt, seek out a second opinion or at least ask for more time to consider your options. On the plus side, Jupiter is ensuring that you have good people in your life, so don't be too proud or too shy to ask for help and, with Saturn also in the picture, the letter of the law can be used to your advantage. For some Cancerians a long-standing issue can be laid to rest now and for others a mystery that has puzzled you for many moons is about to be resolved.
Making sure.
24th November 2008 - 30th November 2008 You are at one of the most romantic points of 2008. Maybe you know this because you are celebrating an anniversary or making loving plans but if you're single and seeking it's time to put on your glad rags and head out into the market place. Should you meet someone during the next two weeks Cupid will be playing a big part in the affair, and you may indeed have found Mr or Ms Right. Then again, if romance is the last thing on your wish list these abundant aspects can be used to further whatever your chosen course. And with Pluto entering the zone of relationships for a period of years, you are just beginning one of the most important chapters of your life.
Setting off.
1st December 2008 - 7th December 2008 Venus and Jupiter join together in the area of relationships creating the perfect setting for a marriage of minds and hearts. What comes into being at this time has the capacity to enrich your life in material and certainly spiritual terms. If an offer is made to you now it would be foolish to turn it down through fear of the unknown - you would be looking at a proverbial gift-horse in the mouth. There are other, grittier influences to contend with, however, so if you receive some less than wonderful news try to see the situation in the context of your whole life, not just this little part. Some things simply cannot go on forever.
Seeing the bigger picture.
8th December 2008 - 14th December 2008 By the end of the week you could be in a very different place from where you began. And while this may imply you'll be taking a journey to an unfamiliar destination, you could have your entire perception of someone or something turned upside down. Of course, we all need our ideas shaking up from time to time – it prevents us from becoming stale and complacent – but the celestial Crab loves its comfort zones and being rudely ejected from them is not a fun thing. Do your best to adapt to a new set of circumstances, not only because to resist is pointless but what is happening now, whether with or without your approval, is for the best.
Embrace change.
15th December 2008 - 21st December 2008 You may have a list as long as your arm to complete and a bevy of demanding people to go with it. And if so, don't expect to be let off lightly by the planets. This is one tough week. What will help is relying on yourself and your own good judgement and not expecting partners and other people to rush to your aid or act like the life and soul of the party. This less than jubilant astro-scape has its uses though. A contract may be ready to sign or a legal matter could be on the point of settlement. Also, if a promise is given to you it will be made with a good heart and you can expect it to be fulfilled to the letter.
No messing!
22nd December 2008 - 28th December 2008 Christmas may be extra memorable this year due to developments in your love life or the lives of people to whom you are close. The sun-Mars-Pluto conjunction brings about powerful unions yet it also reveals the chasms that exist between two people. With this in mind, you may receive a romantic proposal between now and the start of 2009, or a relationship will reach breaking point. And even though these two scenarios represent the extremes of this alignment, feelings will be running high during the next week to ten days, due to the intense nature of events. Then again, you didn't want a so-so Christmas, did you?
Passions ignited.
29th December 2008 - 4th January 2009 As one year gives way to the next, you are in new territory. This may be because you are travelling but the more important point is that you are embarking on a year without one or more aspects of your old life in play, and some new ones already in place. Balance is vital at the moment, both in the sense of finding emotional equilibrium and not devoting too much time and energy to one specific objective, yet there is also a balance to be found in celebrating the good news and giving time and consideration to less happy events. You may have cause to revisit the past this week, but you should not set up home there, just take from it what you need.
Past tense; future perfect.
5th January 2009 - 11th January 2009 There's something deeply symbolic about starting a new year with a full moon in your own sign: it represents the end of a chapter, very possibly one concerning a working or intimate relationship. Certainly, the week ahead provides you with an opportunity to clean house (perhaps in the literal sense too) and to set the record straight. So, overcome your natural Cancerian instincts to hang on by the pincers to anyone and everything – feel the thrill of letting go. By contrast, if you are ready to commit to an organization or a person, the timing is right, although you may find that it takes a little while to get into your stride.
Letting go.
12th January 2009 - 18th January 2009 Cancerians tend to be deeply attached to the past but although it is vital to have beautiful memories and to be able to dip into your experience so that you don't repeat mistakes, you also need to recognize when you are being limited by the remembrance of times gone by. Some fresh thinking is required, especially on a financial matter, and while you may want to give yourself some time to consider your actions, you should be open to new possibilities and strategies. And this could be helpful with your love life too since raking up the past will do nothing to improve a relationship in difficulty, nor a new romance to get off the ground.
Forward thinking.
19th January 2009 - 25th January 2009 Money matters get the Jupiter treatment – an injection of cash for some Cancerians, a promising agreement for others and for all a reminder that positive thinking works wonders for a sagging bank account! This is an ideal period in which to negotiate a contract or to reach a settlement with an individual or an organization. And if this is on your wish list but nothing has yet materialized, perhaps it is down to you to make the overtures. Be prepared to make some unorthodox moves too: while experience is always of value, resorting to strategies and actions that are tired and tattered is not part of your new life-script.
The road less travelled.
26th January 2009 - 1st February 2009 New beginnings are a wonderful concept, just as long as you are not a Cancerian who treasures the past and is reluctant to let go of anything that is familiar. But, like it or not, you are about to open a door and step through into an uncertain future. And this is especially so in regard to a relationship. Even though you have been through a difficult experience and someone has hurt your feelings not every relationship is doomed to be the same. So, if your heart is beating, why deny those feelings? And if a relationship is clearly beyond repair, why hang on to it? Allow this solar eclipse to liberate you from old and restricting patterns.
New possibilities.
2nd February 2009 - 8th February 2009 Venus moves into a position where she will prove very helpful to your cause, whether that cause be to do with love, money or success. However, before you see the fulfilment of this promise there is a small matter of a Venus-Pluto square! Translated, this spells confrontation. Perhaps you need to face your true feelings or maybe you have been avoiding a certain course of action because it threatens your security, but the facts will be out this week or the writing firmly on the wall, and steps should be taken. There is an all-or-nothing feel to these stars, so have the courage of your convictions and act in the knowledge that truth is always liberating.
Go, do that thing!
9th February 2009 - 15th February 2009 You're not part of the real world when you're in love, and under this astro-scape an affair of the heart could be taking you to magical places. However, when your feelings are all churned up it is difficult to make a rational judgement. So, avoid doing anything of an all-or-nothing nature if you know you're not quite the full shilling! Finances are in high focus and you will need to go through any agreements with a fine tooth comb, and if someone appears to be suffering from a case of cold feet, don't exert unnecessary pressure – there is still room to manoeuvre. By the 14th the planetary fog will have cleared and the situation will look very different.
Mist and murk.
16th February 2009 - 22nd February 2009 There could be a generous offer on the table. For some Cancerians this will come in the form of a new financial package, for those going through a divorce or leaving an organization the opposition, so to speak, will be more giving and, whether for money or love, there are signs of improvements this week. Certainly, if you've been putting off a discussion with a fiscal organization or someone who could affect your emotional and financial security now is the time to head to the negotiating table. And speaking of heading off... The sun's entry into the zone of travel and long-range goals could be making distant shores look very attractive.
A positive move.
23rd February 2009 - 1st March 2009 There is good news to be had, although it may take some effort to find it. By this I mean that information reaching you may not initially strike you as having anything to recommend it but by patiently connecting the dots a different picture will emerge. Likewise, by doing your sums you may discover that you will be better off taking a course of action you had previously rejected. This is a fairly intense period of the year for you, whether you're deep in relationship heaven or hell or trying to get your finances into better shape. It may also be that distant people and places are beginning to look increasingly attractive...
Putting two and two together.
2nd March 2009 - 8th March 2009 This is not the best of weeks for making financial moves. Aside from people getting their sums wrong it will be easy to miss a potential problem and a seemingly watertight agreement could be as leaky as a sieve. Individuals and organizations may not intend to mislead you but in an already volatile economic climate it will behove you to be even more cautious. However, it may not be finances that you need to keep a close eye on but a relationship. Once again, someone could have the best of intentions but in the fullness of time a promise may not be able to be kept. You cannot always protect your heart but you should never trust someone who has failed you before.
Watch the figures.
16th March 2009 - 22nd March 2009 Communications are under a Saturn-Uranus cloud, which means you're not going to get a free pass - or a free lunch, come to that. Everything from a simple journey to a routine meeting could tie you up in knots and generate some hard feelings in the process. That is unless you go about your business in the knowledge that people will be difficult to please and you'll need an armful of facts to support your ideas and statements. In some ways this is a good time to make a decision with legal consequences and to put in place structures that will be there for many years. It just won't be much fun though...
Straight-talking.
9th March 2009 - 15th March 2009 You may not be the great trail-blazer of the zodiac but you never lack courage or resolve, and these aspects demand new strategies and a brave heart. A new country awaits you, whether this manifests as a trip to foreign parts or new professional and personal horizons are beckoning you. An offer may come about unexpectedly or a negotiation could suddenly take a very different course but whatever emerges as a bolt from the blue will contain benefits. At the very least, some fresh thinking on an issue that has been dogging you for many moons could change the once near inevitable outcome.
Into battle!
23rd March 2009 - 29th March 2009 Pluto has only just started work on your love life in particular and relationships in general but you may get some idea of what this planet is all about this week. There is something very karmic about Pluto, so that what goes around is coming around or because those things set in motion now will have huge repercussions in the future. Certainly, if you start a working or romantic relationship at this time it will take you to some extraordinary places. On the other hand, it is appropriate to end associations that have done their time. Letting go is always a challenge for the celestial Crab but you can do it, especially when you are going towards something so much better.
Trust.
30th March 2009 - 5th April 2009 You're probably discovering just how powerful a planet Pluto can be. Your feelings about someone could have been transformed by recent events or there may have been developments that will necessitate big changes in your life. And you could be elated by all of this or somewhat destablized. Either way, you have to accommodate some new information, some new aspects to your existence. Then again, life could be running on smooth castors taking you along its familiar track. If this is indeed the case, however, be sure you're not in denial about anything or minimizing someone's statements or intentions.
Time for a change.
6th April 2009 - 12th April 2009 This is an interesting period of the year: you are making a series of endings, whether these involve your job, a relationship or activities that take up a large or small part of your time, and while there is always some sadness about closing a door, living in the past rarely has any advantages. Certainly, new shoots are beginning to appear, especially on the financial and professional front, and although at first these opportunities may seem less than you hoped for, they could in time bring you more than you have ever had. Remind yourself you are in transition: fixed objectives are not appropriate.
To everything there is a season ...
27th April 2009 - 3rd May 2009 Venus-Pluto encounters can be earthmoving in the best of ways but they can also reduce a situation to rubble so if you have a choice as to whether you wade into a contentious debate now or in the future, maybe you should hold off for the moment. There is something compulsive about Pluto though so even with the best of intentions you may end up thrashing out a hot issue or telling someone how you truly feel. If you have chosen this week to exchange vows or to make some other life-affirming move the astrology is supporting you, and if events beyond your control change a long-standing pattern, know it is for the best.
Events of significance
13th April 2009 - 19th April 2009 Mars-Uranus get-togethers may be the essence of unpredictability but of one thing you can be sure, anything in an already unstable condition is likely to be upended, and for a very good reason. You have run out of road and an alternative route must be found. This advice may translate quite literally in that you face some diversions while travelling but it is more likely that you have been trying to hold a situation together with the equivalent of string and sealing wax but it is falling apart and should be allowed to go. This is the right time to make a liberating move and to recognize who and what no longer serves a purpose in your life.
Changing course.
20th April 2009 - 26th April 2009 With Pluto back in the picture there is a certain inevitability about what is happening. Clearly, you must fight for what (or who) you want and believe in but there comes a time when nothing is worth the constant hassle. And you may well reach that point this week. Other people have the capacity to affect you deeply, whether you realize how much their love means to you or because they can prove to be dangerous in opposition. Wait and see how events pan out rather than making a pre-emptive move, however: this is a period in which people act out of a sense of frustration or desperation, a factor you can use to your advantage.
Pushed to the edge?
4th May 2009 - 10th May 2009 There are several ways of looking at this astro-scape: a project that has been in preparation for a while is forced into the sidings by circumstances beyond your control; on the other hand, the successful culmination of an endeavour means you can now take some time off and put your feet up. Two contradictory influences in the astrology mean that a green and red light could go on simultaneously. Certainly, if you meet with a set-back or a delay this week, you should see the situation in a positive light, and there is much to be said for treating the whole of May as a period of recovery, reflection and reunion.
A time to be philosophical.
11th May 2009 - 17th May 2009 Gains and losses are the subject of your stars this week. In some cases this trend will apply directly to finances so that you do well from an investment/agreement or you may receive less than you hoped for. But in other cases, it may be that while one area of life produces a success something else disappoints. Mercury is still retrograding, however, so results can be unreliable and you may find that a decision will be reversed later or that a change of heart will lead to a less severe outcome. The weekend is the perfect time for a trip into fantasy land, whether you're in for a romantic idyll or indulging in the more superficial things of life.
Winners and losers.
18th May 2009 - 24th May 2009 Trying to make two and two equal four, or making anything add up for that matter, could prove something of a challenge. You're going to have to feel your way through and look beyond the surface appearance of situations. It may be that an action taken in the recent past was faulty or that fresh developments have altered the shape and scope of a project, especially one with financial overtones, so it is now appropriate to have a rethink and, if necessary, pull out completely. Between now and your birthday is one of the most delicate times of your astrological year: health of mind, body and spirit is to the fore and situations require room to breathe.
Using your intuition.
25th May 2009 - 31st May 2009 Two words sum up this astro-scape: spell-binding. Now, a special occasion may lie ahead that you have every expectation will go like a dream; on the other hand, an event could come out of left field and take your breath away. It is also possible that you have spent many long months, if not years, working towards a goal and suddenly everything comes together in the most supernatural way. Jupiter-Neptune conjunctions are divine so what happens at this time is not only meant to be but you get to see which of your hopes and prayers were worthy of manifestation. And while finances usually require more brain than Brahma this is one of those times when luck steps in.
The power of prayer.
1st June 2009 - 7th June 2009 We always have to dig deep when Pluto influences our chart, and, since the year began, you may have had to search for resources you didn't know you had, whether those resources have been financial and material or emotional. Now Pluto gives you a helping hand. This help may come in the form of a positive response to an offer or request you have made or a reward for hard work; on the other hand, if you have been considering approaching someone regarding a job now would be the moment to make your move. You may also find that a love relationship begins to bear fruit and that someone with whom you have been in conflict is no longer such an enemy.
Timing is all.
8th June 2009 - 14th June 2009 It may not always be easy to see that life is evolving as it should so if you are currently going through a tough time, please take comfort in the knowledge that events are taking you in the right direction. And this is particularly so where a relationship is concerned. Venus and Mars are both angling Pluto thereby ensuring that your long-term interests are being served – something you may already understand if you are forming a new relationship or formalizing a romance but rather more difficult to see should a relationship be in difficulty or you are presently alone. What may help is not buying into rumours or allowing your fears to run riot.
Good vibrations.
15th June 2009 - 21st June 2009 You may not enjoy being ejected from your comfort zone but as soon as you've caught your breath you're going to see why, and, more importantly, you're going to be pleased. Out of the unexpected comes growth and even a difficulty will have its pluses. For the past few weeks you have been operating in the dark, whether you have been deliberately kept out of the picture or because you have been preoccupied with other things but with the sun entering your own sign on Sunday, clarity will be gained and your energies restored. In some ways this is a lucky period of the year, although you may not quite see it this way at the time.
Hidden benefits.
22nd June 2009 - 28th June 2009 This is not your average week. Pluto is taking you to the edge and whether you are thrilled at what occurs or somewhat nonplussed you'll know you're alive. If you have been considering leaving a partner for someone else events could provide the spur you need. Likewise, should you discover some hidden truths about someone to whom you are close you may be compelled to end the relationship. What you cannot do under these stars is fudge an issue: you have to grasp the proverbial nettle by the throat and make a finite statement. If nothing else, you'll prove you're no wimp, someone, in fact, to be reckoned with.
No turning back.
29th June 2009 - 5th July 2009 If the earth moved for you last week here come some aftershocks – hopefully in the most welcome of ways. Many Cancerians are currently giving the boot to some aspect of their past, and although this is causing a fair amount of turmoil you already know it is for the best. However, should you be trying to gain your balance because someone else has pulled the rug from underneath your feet, do your best to accept that it is the right thing: you have new frontiers to cross, fresh conquests to make, and this you cannot do clinging on to a platform that no longer supports you. On the 3rd, Mercury enters your sign bringing fresh light to bear on issues great and small.
New frontiers.
6th July 2009 - 12th July 2009 A lunar eclipse might be a beautiful thing to behold but the events reflected in it could be life-changing. If you are about to marry or make a long-term commitment then Tuesday's eclipse is a symbol of the enormous step you are taking but if you have nothing of significance on your agenda don't be surprised if someone says or does something that has major consequences. This is not meant to alarm you, however, so much as to remind you that life is full of surprises without which you would ultimately be the poorer. There will be another eclipse in two weeks time so if any writing on the wall appears, take it seriously.
A significant change.
13th July 2009 - 19th July 2009 If you have doubted the positive effect Uranus can have in the way of opening up new territory and taking you where you never thought you'd go, this week's events could change your mind. In an ideal world you'd be heading out to some exotic holiday haven but this is also a metaphor for beginning a journey that will alter your horizons and certainly give you a fresh perspective on one or more situations. There is a difference between dipping into the past for nostalgic purposes or as a reference to a current situation and remaining anchored to the past. Now is the time to take a step into the unknown and carve out a new piece of your life path.
Going where you've never been before.
20th July 2009 - 26th July 2009 Wednesday's eclipse isn't just any old eclipse, it is a total solar eclipse and, more to the point, it is in your sign. If it is your birthday on the 20th, 21st or 22nd, you are looking at a year of amazing change - life will be a whole new country - and whenever you were born events over the course of the next twelve weeks will inspire some new ideas on where you're headed. There have been a series of powerful alignments affecting your sign since late June so if you have recently made a life-defining decision or begun to see situations in a rather different light, you are already responding to this cosmic rallying call.
Chocks away!
27th July 2009 - 2nd August 2009 On Saturday Venus enters your sign and within a matter of hours opposes Pluto. This is one of the more passionate and intense alignments so it may well coincide with a major decision of the heart. Indeed, relationships sink or soar under such stars. If you are already happily entwined then you can use this influence to establish greater intimacy, even make a life-long commitment to each other, but if you are seriously mismatched then you may find your difficulties impossible to breach. Since late June this theme of highs and lows, love and hate, has been playing but maybe it has taken until now for possibilities to become realities.
Now or never.
3rd August 2009 - 9th August 2009 You probably thought you had had enough of eclipses to last you ten years let alone one but just for good measure here comes another. This eclipsed full moon falls on the axis of finance and self worth so it is the right time to discover how much you are valued and whether you have the resources to cover your needs - financial or otherwise. You could be looking at a major item of expenditure or you may receive a financial boost but whether you're in the money or out of it, in love or out of it, this is the right time to bring matters into the open. Venus is right behind you at present so you're going to make a gain - one way or another.
What are you worth?
10th August 2009 - 16th August 2009 Have you ever made a Freudian slip? Said one thing and meant another, yet the real truth lies in the error? Well, your unconscious mind is driving your bus of life this week so watch your words and avoid actions made in haste. Unless, of course, you recognize that sometimes an accidental slip is precisely what is needed... Mars is currently lurking in the mystery zone of your horoscope so you will be at your enigmatic best, subtly eking out information from others and making covert plays but by the same token you could be in great confusion about the real nature of a situation. With this in mind, pay attention to events early in the week.
A mystery solved?
17th August 2009 - 23rd August 2009 There is a point at which you can no longer fight the inevitable: something's got to give. And that point may well have arrived. Saturn is doing his best to hold back the tide of change but he's outclassed by Uranus, which means hard set opinions crack, and a few other aspects of life may be looking rather different. First and foremost this trend applies to your thinking: you have been committed to a certain outcome, which has been coloured by your hopes, fears and experience but all it takes is a change of perspective and everything changes, so to speak. It's amazing what you can live without when it comes to having to shed excess baggage...
Offloading.
24th August 2009 - 30th August 2009 A little over three weeks ago Venus in your sign opposed Pluto, which may have upped the amps in a romantic relationship. This planetary coupling can bind two people together and it can polarize them so with Mars about to cover the same ground, you will need either to prepare yourself for another trip to paradise or baton down the hatches. You'll certainly discover where someone stands on an issue and how far you are prepared to go to achieve your ends. And even if you don't find life at extremes this week minor upsets will easily lead to major eruptions. You get to establish a few priorities under a cosmos like this.
Stepping up to the plate.
31st August 2009 - 5th September 2009 Rarely one to act in haste you could feel the pressure to do so this week. However, resist the temptation. In a week's time Mercury will be in retrograde taking you back over old ground and generally keeping you on hold. Thus, unless you are absolutely sure your actions will prove finite, save your breath. There have been some Plutonic rumblings to contend with recently, such that you might have faced the loss of a friendship or some other long-standing situation may have changed beyond compare, so there is a need to regroup and to consider your options. In a month's time matters could look entirely different.
Biding your time.
6th September 2009 - 13th September 2009 For the past five months Pluto has been in reverse thrust in some cases putting a relationship on hold or producing delays that interfere with the fulfilment of one or more of your plans. On Friday this celestial dwarf returns to normal service and in the process you should begin to feel as though your wings are no longer clipped. It may be that an event this week acts as a release or there could be subtle signals of change; either way there is a shift taking place. All right, Mercury may be on a retreat so there will be the familiar delays and go-slows in everyday life but the bigger picture is one of movement.
Much to be thankful for.
14th September 2009 - 20th September 2009 Mercury is going over old ground and reconnecting with Pluto, which it encountered some three weeks ago. Thus, there could be a link between this week's events and those of late August. On the plus side, you may have the opportunity to re-think a decision but on the minus side, if you have been holding out for a change of heart, the chances are either you will have to wait a little longer for a final answer or news you receive could set your hopes back. There's not a lot you can do when the planets are in hard alignment like this other than accept the status quo for what it is: indeed, acceptance could be the very route to resolution.
Acceptance.
21st September 2009 - 27th September 2009 Pluto is dominating this second half of September so don't be surprised if certain items of life are disappearing and you are forced to deal with the bare bones of situations. It's a good thing. Certainly, where your love life is concerned you need to know the depth of your own feelings and the extent to which you and the other person are prepared to go for each other. Truth is not always comfortable but it is far better that you face a reality now than go on blindly, devoting more time, energy and feeling to something that or someone who is unworthy. And, of course, you could discover that you have something of inestimable value in your life.
Discovery.
28th September 2009 - 4th October 2009 You could be right in thinking you've been going nowhere fast these past three weeks – retrograding Mercury has been slowing down the wheels of commerce and communication, and generally getting in the way of progress. But there is no longer a cosmic excuse for failure to connect: Mercury is back in business from the 29th and in tandem you should be chasing people who've been off the radar and putting firm dates in the diary. And by the same token you could be receiving answers to questions and discovering what has been behind a recent upset. With this in mind the weekend is perfect for putting an issue to bed once and for all.
Sorting it.
5th October 2009 - 11th October 2009 Your adventurous streak is being released - you did know you had one, didn't you? - so don't get in the way of your own progress and happiness by turning down an opportunity. There have been some major potholes to contend with this year, but to wait until everything is aligned perfectly before taking a risk of any description would be foolish and self-defeating. It is possible that events of six weeks ago have created this window of opportunity, or it may be that somewhere deeper in the past lie the seeds of current developments. Whatever the case, you have more to gain from going forward than clutching at the past.
Go for it!
12th October 2009 - 18th October 2009 A matter that has been in dispute for some while could be about to be resolved. There is an aura of finality about this week's stars whether you choose to close the book on something or because events conspire to bring about such a scenario. Love and relationships are in the main frame so you have reached another point in the year when a romance or business partnership can go this way or that. And, if you've been thinking about selling or purchasing a property, or you have been dealing with a complex domestic situation, someone could enter the picture now and make a big difference to the outcome.
The Pluto effect.
12th October 2009 - 18th October 2009 A matter that has been in dispute for some while could be about to be resolved. The Pluto effect.
19th October 2009 - 25th October 2009 Property matters are in the frame, and with promising outcomes. A deal completed, an offer made or a decision reached should add to your self-worth, whether in a psychological or financial sense – maybe both. Home affairs are also under positive influences so if there have been family tensions or you've been looking at your four square walls and wondering what a fresh coat of paint might do, make your move. Indeed, with Saturn on its way to the home zone next week, you should take the opportunity to iron out any domestic wrinkles and to activate any plans linked to properties.
No time like the present.
26th October 2009 - 1st November 2009 Finances get the Jupiter treatment. If you've been putting off talking to the money people or dealing with a shared financial matter take courage in both hands and tackle it during the first half of the week. You'll get a result, and even if you don't like it at first you will have proved something to yourself and to those with whom you have financial commitments. On Thursday, Saturn moves to the base of your solar chart from where he will encourage you to find greater security and stability over the coming two and a half years. There could be some home truths to face but you will be no longer weighed down by obligations you would be better off without.
Getting down to it.
2nd November 2009 - 8th November 2009 This is a highly creative period for you, whether you are putting your unique signature on personal and professional endeavours or bringing a long-awaited project into being. There has been little time for fun this year so at the very least you should take advantage of these expansive influences and do what makes you feel great. And, even in the event of someone proving difficult to budge and taking their frustration out on you, by making light of the matter you will soon be on to bigger and better things. It's not just a question of mind over matter but of finding the joy within and allowing it to dispel the darkness.
The joy of giving.
9th November 2009 - 15th November 2009 There's not a lot of wiggle room to be had at the moment but that does not mean new ways forward will not emerge from current impasses. In fact, quite the reverse. A whole new avenue could appear in the wake of an ending. Someone may pull out of a commitment or there could now be too many obstacles to make a project viable but however the situation looks initially, it will alter in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes trained on the long term, and don't reject options that could take you out of your comfort zone, either in the real sense of distant locations or unfamiliar experiences. Not for the first time are you being reminded that perception is everything.
Not quite as it seems.
