The Following Week Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
27th January 2003 - 2nd February 2003 Just before Venus heads into the money zone of your chart and sets about improving your financial position she is opposed by Saturn (29th). If nothing else Saturn is reality but this planet does have a nasty habit of making life seem very hard going and certainly making people less tolerant and generous. Therefore until the weekend of the 1st you must ensure that you have covered all your bases, especially with anything of a professional, legal or financial nature. There is also a chance that a love affair or relationship is about to undergo one of those moments of truth, in which case you should head to the negotiating table and not through the door marked: exit.
20th January 2003 - 26th January 2003 Venus is currently transiting your sign and endeavouring to improve the quality of life but this planet could have also encouraged you to conceal any strong feelings, whether those feelings are of love or anger. Now, with Venus moving ever closer to Pluto, the chances of your suppressing any powerful emotion will become less and less. Between the 21st and 26th anything that needs to surface will do so. On the one hand, this is a period when passionate declarations cement a relationship and set the stage for strong and binding commitments but on the other, a minor disagreement could escalate into full-blown hostilities. Make love not war, eh?
13th January 2003 - 19th January 2003 On the 17th Mars enters your sign upping the tempo and giving you the courage to tackle anyone and anything. However, with Mercury still in retreat, it would be advisable to wait until after the 22nd before you take on Superman! Then there is the small matter of the full moon (18th) highlighting the financial axis of your horoscope. On the plus side this full moon will help you sort out your accounts and set your financial house in order but on the other, a monetary loss or mistake could prove costly. Ideally, you need to examine the real state of your financial affairs - or indeed any area of life that is sporting a red light - and set a new order in motion.
3rd February 2003 - 9th February 2003 Mars in your sign forges a generous connection to ruler, Jupiter, thereby increasing your appetite for success and giving you a super-charged dose of courage and daring. You will have the edge in any competitive activity and your capacity to act with honour and magnanimity will add to your prestige. Is there a problem? Well, only if you have a flagrant disregard for the rules and other people’s sensibilities, which could reward you with a Pyrrhic victory. However, all those crushing Saturn and Pluto blows have taught you everything you ever needed to know about dignity in defeat and it’s more than time you evened the score.
10th February 2003 - 16th February 2003 A Mars-Pluto conjunction is never a light and superficial matter - these planets stir emotions at the deepest of levels and they raise all manner of fears, hostilities and passions. Thus, you must now strive to find your equilibrium in a sea of conflicting feelings. At best this is a week when you get a fantastic result for your efforts - you may also find that your horizons are considerably expanded by events. But at worst, you could come away the loser from a war of words or you may have to admit defeat in an endeavour that you have been struggling with over a long period. Whether you will be celebrating your good fortune or crying in your beer, keep reminding yourself that it’s not over until the fat lady sings!
17th February 2003 - 23rd February 2003 Ah, the joys of Saturn! With this planet transiting Gemini, your opposite number, you now know everything you ever wanted to know about relationships - and more. And if you have any doubts about your ability to handle difficult people and your talent to put a positive spin on the most dreary set of circumstances those doubts are about to be quashed. Since Mars is in your sign the onus is on you to take charge but how you deal with the opposition, whether in the form of an individual or a development, is key. There are new avenues opening up for you and they represent a liberation from a tired old regime, however, in order to fulfil this promise you must tie up all loose ends and leave no hurt feelings.
24th February 2003 - 2nd March 2003 So often in life the key to success lies in good communications and this is certainly the case this week. Mercury in the zone of travel and negotiations hooks up to Pluto in your own sign and Saturn in the area of relationships and since these are angles of harmony you should emerge from any meetings and discussions with dignity and a solution. Thus, if at the start to the week you feel less than happy about a set of circumstances, instead of dramatizing the situation, aim to contact the person or persons concerned and discuss the matter calmly and objectively. Likewise, any long distance or important journeys should be undertaken with careful planning and not left until the last minute.
3rd March 2003 - 9th March 2003 Sagittarius is a natural when it comes to blazing a new trail and kicking over the traces of the past and even if you are at a relatively successful and stable point of your life you have not quite lost your lust for adventure. At least I hope so. With Uranus centre stage and a new moon the signs are of a big change to your agenda. A journey with a difference is one way of looking at these stars, a piece of information that alters your prospects is another. Either way, you have a major contribution to make to events. Unconsciously or consciously you have been seeking to spread your wings and now the opportunity is there for you to do so. Just don’t complain about the way your liberation is achieved.
10th March 2003 - 16th March 2003 Astrologically speaking this is one of the most important periods of 2003. On the 10th Uranus reaches the base of your horoscope and in so doing announces a series of key events to come on the home and family front. Uranus will take some seven years to work its way through this area of your chart so to begin with it will be only the November Archers who get to make much needed moves. Nevertheless, whenever your birthday, this is a week when all manner of issues come to a head, pushing you ever nearer making a big life decision. Fortunately, ruler, Jupiter, is perfectly positioned to bring an element of luck and enjoyment to events.
5th May 2003 - 11th May 2003 Make the most of these superb stars because they could really get you places. Thursday’s Mars-Jupiter opposition fizzes with excitement and since this is taking place in the travel and communications zone your world-view could be expanding considerably. You don’t have to board a plane to cross frontiers; this you can do by acquiring some eye-opening information or finding new ways to express your ideas and feelings, but one way or another you should end the week in a different space. The only hitch with this astro-scape is a tendency to blow up situations out of all proportion - under no circumstances press the panic button or unleash your anger.
17th March 2003 - 23rd March 2003 This continues to be an important stage of the year for many Sagittarians. Last week Pluto helped shed light on the darkness while this week Saturn and a full moon help you deal with what was revealed - and in the most expedient of ways. Every so often you need to be made aware of how far you have drifted from your main life-targets and this is one such occasion. If you are firmly on the right track you may well see a reward - and certainly a sign - at this time whereas if you have made compromises, taken short cuts or decisions that are counter-productive to your long-term happiness, a correction now needs to be made. Look at the bigger picture.
24th March 2003 - 30th March 2003 There is one word for this astro-scape - fabulous. All right, maybe I shouldn’t raise your hopes too high but after a March that may have been less than enjoyable here come some uplifting and enjoyable stars. Your creative juices should be flowing and your endeavours should meet with success and if in recent weeks you have seen a situation decline you could begin to see some real improvements from now on. The only blot on the horizon looks to be unpredictable Uranus so especially between the 27th and 31st don’t light anyone’s fuse or allow yourself to burn a little too fiercely. On the other hand a romance could be in sizzling form.
31st March 2003 - 6th April 2003 You may be able to complain about the weather but you cannot moan about your stars. Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days in a week that promises great things. Your powers of creativity are high and your capacity to succeed better than ever and although you may not have a magic bullet you can knock ‘em dead with your charm and talent. The past few weeks have not been the greatest on record and they could have left a legacy of hurt and loss but never forget you are Jupiter’s child and that means your capacity for recuperation is fierce and your ability to make the most of what you’ve got is almost legendary. You’ve lived to fight another day. Enjoy it!
7th April 2003 - 13th April 2003 Pluto cannot always be relied upon to make your life easier and better but during the next two weeks this planet gives you all its got in the way of transformational moments and growth oriented developments. In plain English you should now have the opportunity to make a success of an endeavour or take your place at the centre of events. And as a bonus you’ll have fun doing it all. One factor you will have to watch, however, is the trend for excessively strong feelings and all or nothing actions. These are fine channelled into a passionate romantic relationship but rather more destructive when it comes to business or family gatherings. A moment on the lips; a lifetime in the doghouse!
14th April 2003 - 20th April 2003 Thanks to each full moon, every month you have an opportunity to close a chapter - sometimes the chapter in question is a large one covering a long period of time; at other times an activity that has been filling your time is replaced by another. This full moon highlights the creative axis of your solar chart thus indicating the end of a gestation period. A quite literal reflection of this theme would be the end of pregnancy and the birth of a baby, but there are many other ways in which a preparatory phase can be finished and a result of some description revealed. Add to this a Venus-Saturn ‘square’ (17th) and relationships and finance swim into focus, making this a week of realizations and reckonings.
21st April 2003 - 27th April 2003 From the 22nd Venus and Mars will be perfectly placed to broaden the scope of your life; they will also brighten your prospects and generally make your existence more pleasurable. Indeed, in many ways this is the ideal set of stars under which to take a holiday or at least a break from your usual routine. Mercury’s retrograde passage (26 April - 20 May) could make the wheels of transport and transportation turn rather slowly but it will also encourage retreat and reflection - something the adventurous Archer could do with from time to time. Since January you may well have been through some trying experiences: here at last is an astrological reward for your trials.
28th April 2003 - 4th May 2003 You are justified in feeling encouraged at this time. Ruler, Jupiter, is on great form helping you sow seeds for the future and in some cases already bringing in rewards. But if you are among that group beset by Saturn and Pluto and feeling anything but blessed bear in mind that these benign influences are still working on your behalf, a factor that may take some while to reveal itself. Whether you are starting a new venture this week or looking forward to a big occasion, have faith and confidence and in the event of a disappointment continue to let your inner flame burn brightly - somebody somewhere thinks you are wonderful and your ship will eventually come in.
12th May 2003 - 18th May 2003 The 16th’s total eclipse is the first of four this year that could play a big part in changing some aspect of your existence, especially if you have a late November or early December birthday. Preparation and communication are the keys to making successful transitions and ensuring that events come off as you hope - as you will surely discover before the end of May. While other people are entirely capable of making errors your ability to transmit ideas and information is crucial. It may be that someone has no idea how you feel or is proceeding along a path that is inappropriate thus you must endeavour to set him or her straight. Magical mystery tours are only fun in the fairground.
19th May 2003 - 25th May 2003 On the 21st the sun enters the area of love and relating, which may prove to be very good news indeed. Between now and late June is one of the best periods for finding love, improving the quality of your partnerships and for reaching all-important decisions regarding a relationship. This also represents the beginning of a time when other people’s input in your life makes for positive changes for you. And with Uranus poised to make its first major connection to the sun (24th) one of those positive changes may be about to manifest. Nonetheless this is a far from stable astro-scape and other people have the capacity to pull the rug out from beneath your feet.
26th May 2003 - 1st June 2003 Six months ago an eclipse straddled the relationship axis of your solar chart, thereby forcing you to see one or more relationships in their real light. The latter part of November through to January became a time when big relationship decisions could have been made and now you get see how wise those choices were. Alternatively, you may be about to fulfill the promise of December, perhaps by marrying or making some other kind of long-term commitment. The solar eclipse of the 31st once again thrusts partnerships into the spotlight and while for some Sagittarians the prospect of a new relationship is presented for all celestial Archers this may turn out to be time of stark awakenings.
2nd June 2003 - 8th June 2003 The Jupiter-Neptune theme has been playing since the beginning of the year, and it has been reflected in the rise of huge peace-movements and the desire of many people to find spiritual sustenance. And since Jupiter is your ruler and currently transiting one of the most elevated areas of your chart, you are in a period when your heart and soul are going to be deeply affected by your experiences. With this in mind, events of early-to-mid June, whether they are wonderful or somewhat fazing, should be viewed as food for the soul. Nevertheless if you want to be ahead of the game, do not trust appearances now and insist on written guarantees.
9th June 2003 - 15th June 2003 This is one of the most dynamic periods of 2003. Not since last December has there been so much opportunity for change and diversification - and so much potential for squalls of the emotional kind. Thus, you must endeavour to do what feels right to you, especially around the time of the full moon in Sagittarius on the 14th, without causing unnecessary suffering or inconvenience to others, especially those you love or those to whom you have a professional or financial obligation. Without knowing why, we tend to arrange the big events in our lives according to the most powerful alignments, so whether by accident or design it seems you have reached a watershed.
16th June 2003 - 22nd June 2003 This period of June could be described as the lull before the storm, whether you are already preparing for a main event or because you can sense that a situation is nearing crunch point. And, if you believe everything in your life is unchangeable and unchanging, watch this space! Smart Archers now look about them and take action with anyone or anything that looks in less than great shape. At the very least, your attention to minor blots on the landscape will earn you Brownie points and net you a good night’s sleep but there is a real chance that by dealing with a difficult issue now you will save yourself a serious amount of hassle in the future.
23rd June 2003 - 29th June 2003 With the area of relationships in high focus this is a two-week period when partners and other people play an extra large part in your affairs. And, since Pluto is a planet of sharp extremes, as on many occasions in the past, while some Sagittarians will be celebrating their happiness and good fortune others will experience opposition and discord. The ball appears to be in other people’s courts at the moment, which means it is your turn to listen and to comply with their wishes. A policy of non-resistance is recommended now, whether you surrender to a compelling new passion or allow someone or something to go its own way.
30th June 2003 - 6th July 2003 Although there is a serious undertone to this week’s astrology the overall spirit is upbeat. In many ways this is an appropriate time to put in motion a plan that has been developed over a long period of time. Jupiter in the area of long-range endeavours and transformational Pluto are perfectly balanced so that changes in both your personal and professional life can be accomplished successfully and will lead to a happier state of affairs in the future. This is also a positive phase for financial and romantic matters, provided you are realistic and prepared to at least try someone else’s ideas and accept another point of view.
7th July 2003 - 13th July 2003 Sagittarians have a somewhat casual attitude to finance - and to give you credit (no pun intended!) you have the ability to make money and make it work for you. However, under these Saturnian influences it seems an overhaul of your accounts is required. This is probably not a period in which other people will be displaying their generosity, nor is it a time when partners will be content to let you run the whole show. Emotions should be left out of the equation now: let the facts and figures speak for themselves and, whether you have the wherewithal to make a big investment or a serious shortfall, a decision should be made. And we’re not just talking money here!
14th July 2003 - 20th July 2003 Delayed gratification is not a Sagittarian thing: you want what you want now and no amount of red tape or well-intentioned advice can hold you back. But you should play against type this week, the reason being a Mercury-Neptune opposition flanking the axis of communications. Neptunian mists are all well and good if you can afford to take time out from the real world but otherwise you run the risk of losing the plot. And while this trend may turn a journey into a magical mystery tour it could do a lot more damage in regard to the written and spoken word. Go through any financial or legal information with a fine toothcomb and if you’re uncertain about something, don’t put your signature to it.
21st July 2003 - 27th July 2003 Any trace of despondency or doubt should disappear under these bright and optimistic skies. Widening horizons is the theme of the next few weeks, whether this manifests as travel or a broadening of your personal and professional horizons. Jupiter’s transit of the area of long-distance matters may have already given you more scope for your talents and interests but between now and the end of August there are even greater opportunities to expand your life. Courage is not a quality that you lack, but you can experience a shortfall in commitment and focus: you have everything to play for now, take that leap in the dark.
28th July 2003 - 3rd August 2003 At last you have an opportunity to do what the celestial Archer was made to do - expand your horizons and leave the petty and the mundane where they belong, on someone else’s patch! Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration but you are at a point in the year where you can travel, meet new people and explore different cultures and interests. And even if you cannot physically change your space there will be other ways in which your view on your world can widen and deepen. What you may need to do before you take off, however, is make sure that some vital paper-work has been dealt with correctly and there are no potential leaks in a situation.
4th August 2003 - 10th August 2003 In some ways this is an excellent week to travel and broaden your view of the world. But in other ways, there is a risk that you will lose your way - and we’re not necessarily talking about journeys of the terrestrial kind here. There is a strong element of unreality to contend with and unless you are prepared to do some research and question information reaching you, you could misjudge a person or a situation. Once the moon enters Sagittarius on Wednesday, you have more control of the game-board and while there is a still a chance of a surprise move on someone else’s part you should have confidence and faith in developing scenarios.
11th August 2003 - 17th August 2003 Mercury-Pluto connections are never lightweight but they can be enlightening and since there is plenty of harmony elsewhere in the cosmos you may well find that the truths that come out now do you more favours than disfavours. Nevertheless, this is probably not the best week to tell someone exactly what you think of him or her nor is it the time to threaten to leave a relationship or an organization unless you really mean it. And if you’re travelling or heading into meetings and discussions, consider the benefits of olive branches and sweeteners! Also, keep your long term objectives in view at all times.
18th August 2003 - 24th August 2003 Life is full. A series of brilliant alignments looks set to take you out of your usual surroundings and certainly to jolt you out of any sense of boredom and complacency. On the plus side, you could make a major personal or professional move now, or you could experience an unexpected piece of good luck. But on the minus side, any falls from grace will be of a grand proportion and any minor upset could well spiral out of control, producing rifts and regrettable actions. Go cautiously with any situation upon which your stability and security rest but otherwise follow your heart and your enthusiasms - they should take you far.
25th August 2003 - 31st August 2003 Had enough excitement yet? This has hardly been the most uneventful year but if you have been one of those Sagittarians for whom little has gone right or wrong, a spectacular alignment between ruler, Jupiter and revolutionary Uranus, could refloat your beached ship of dreams. Especially if you have a November birthday the following week will help you make innovative and liberating moves that have been in the pipeline for some time and whenever your birthday there is enough planetary dynamite here to shift the most embedded of situations. Jupiter’s arrival on the Mid-heaven of your solar chart on the 27th begins a year of going places.
1st September 2003 - 7th September 2003 This could be one of the most eventful and decisive weeks of 2003. A Mars-Jupiter opposition flanking the life direction axis of your horoscope, and particularly influencing the November Archers, will help you reach an important objective, one that could add to your prestige. At the same time Venus angles Pluto in your sign heightening passions and leading to make or break actions. However, the potential for success is as great as it is for melt down! With this in mind, should you be taking a test of any description or making a big personal or professional commitment you have all the planetary assistance you need to get you there, but if a situation blows up in your face, so to speak, avoid fighting fire with fire.
8th September 2003 - 14th September 2003 Some three months ago a similar astro-scape presided over your affairs, so there could well be a link between current developments and those of mid-to-late June. Perhaps you made a decision then or an event of some significance took place so now you have an opportunity to review past actions or see the results of your earlier decisions. Certainly, the period between the 9th and 12th of September is a crucial one, in some cases leading to a total change of direction. This would be an ideal period to end a professional commitment or to leave behind an old way of life - the emphasis being on what positive new opportunities lie ahead of you.
15th September 2003 - 21st September 2003 Mid-September could be turning out to be a watershed: what was once the status quo has changed, and while this theme may be apparent in your private life it is more likely to be present in your career. Last week’s stars could well have produced events that brought you to a crossroads: in some cases there was a choice to make but in others what happened was a fait accompli. Now, you really do have some choices to make as to where you go from here. It may take more than a week to accomplish this feat but by the weekend you will be in less of a muddle and already able to see new directions emerging. Think new beginnings not past regrets.
22nd September 2003 - 28th September 2003 Some five weeks ago a piece of information may have surfaced or an event took place that necessitated a change of course, and in some cases it may have seemed as if things had gone badly wrong. However, developments during the next fourteen days could alter this state of affairs. It may be that a situation now gets back on track or that further information helps you see matters in a different light. Whether in regard to your career, the home or a relationship what is being discussed and offered now could be the route to a far more successful and fulfilling phase for you. It may not be what you thought you wanted but it is what is best.
29th September 2003 - 5th October 2003 The moon passes through your sign each month and when it does it increases your powers of intuition and heightens your emotions. Bearing this in mind the moon will be in Sagittarius between the 30th and 2nd. Thus, if you have been unsure about your feelings for someone or waiting for some kind of spur to action, you are about to be enlightened and inspired. On balance this is a positive few days and a period when you perceive deep truths about people and situations. You may also find that what initially starts out as a dream or a sketch of a plan has a real chance of becoming a reality. On this occasion the phrase - dream on - is a benediction.
6th October 2003 - 12th October 2003 Sagittarius and Saturn are as chalk is to cheese - they have little in common with each other.
Nevertheless Saturn serves a purpose and without this grounding and realistic influence relationships
and endeavours would lack substance and go nowhere. With this in mind, should someone disappoint you now
or a situation be giving you nothing but hassle and heartache, do not head into cut and run mode. You
are being given a valuable opportunity to work through a difficulty and strengthen an alliance or an
endeavour. This is the kind of astrological climate that separates the men from the boys and the divas
from the dames.
13th October 2003 - 19th October 2003 Saturn may not be the jolliest spot on the astrological map but you will learn a lot by taking your time there. Indeed, Saturn has a great deal to do with time in the sense of situations coming full circle or reaping the harvest of an earlier decision. And since this planet is currently influencing money matters the chances are this week will produce some answers to financial quandaries. Practical steps should be taken at this time and in the event of an endeavour revealing some serious flaws, if it cannot be re-worked, then you should avoid throwing good money after bad, so to speak. And this advice does not solely apply to finances.
20th October 2003 - 26th October 2003 Due to the sun's entry into the twelfth house of secrets and illusions, the 23rd marks the beginning of a four-week period when life gets a little fuzzy round the edges and you are less than your usual robust and optimistic self. However, this is part of life, not all of it. As the next few weeks roll by each time something fails to add up or you feel wounded by someone remind yourself that you are suffering from twelfth-house-itis and soon everything will snap back like elastic. On the other hand, this is the beginning of a period where your intuition is razor sharp and your dream life is full of fascinating information. I guess it's a case of noting anomalies and letting feelings percolate, with a view to acting on them in a few weeks time.
27th October 2003 - 2nd November 2003 When planets occupy the twelfth house of the horoscope, a fine gauze appears over the lens of life - you see situations less clearly and you may feel less assertive and more vulnerable. Thus, for the next two weeks at least you should double check your information and avoid rushing to judgment. Especially around the 26th and 30th what people may tell you could prove unreliable and the voice of your own hopes or fears could be drowning out common sense. With Venus set to enter your sign on the 2nd, there will be compensations for any present difficulties and a relationship which now appears to be in the doldrums could bounce back with a vengeance.
3rd November 2003 - 9th November 2003 The sun’s passage through the mysterious twelfth house of the horoscope is rarely a piece of cake - as one of the most up front and open-hearted signs of the zodiac you cannot deal with subterfuge and innuendo. However, if nothing else you need to recognize that other people simply aren’t the same as you and there could be some moves taking place behind the scenes that require your attention. To this end the lunar eclipse of the 9th could prove entirely illuminating. Rumours should be checked for their veracity and if someone is being evasive, ask yourself why? Perhaps someone is preparing a wonderful surprise for you; on the other hand and under these stars it might be prudent to be in the know!
10th November 2003 - 16th November 2003 Sagittarians prefer to do things at speed and with as few restrictions on them as possible but if you want to do yourself a favour you’ll go a little more slowly this week. Aside from Mercury and Uranus setting a trend for sudden and unexpected potholes we are in that delicate period between two eclipses so observing the writing on the wall at this point could save you a considerable amount of hassle later. (And this applies first and foremost to financial matters.) Venus and Mars create some sexy sparks enabling you to work your magic on people who must be impressed and the weekend looks to be a seriously romantic time especially for 7th/8th December birthdays.
17th November 2003 - 23rd November 2003 New moons in your sign breathe new life into your affairs and since this new moon (23rd) is eclipsed any fresh developments look to be jumbo-sized. Between now and mid-December represents a cycle of huge change, whether plans you have been working on for months come to fruition or whether events beyond your control take you in a whole new direction. Clearly, a new cycle is to be welcomed however, with Pluto in the ascendancy, you cannot expect an entirely easy ride. Pluto urges us to eliminate those things that have served their purpose, but even if you are excited at the possibilities lying ahead of you letting go can be a painful process.
24th November 2003 - 30th November 2003 This astrology has the wow factor. Indeed, the second half of November is packed with life-defining aspects, especially if you have a birthday on or near the 12th December. Ideally, you should be the one to initiate changes now but however they come in or whoever inspires them they are in your best interests. In many ways you could view what happens at this point of the year as fate taking a hand, but this does not mean you have not contributed towards events, nor are you without options. Take things slowly, consider the big picture and don’t underestimate the opposition. That said, this could be a week of fabulous break-throughs.
1st December 2003 - 7th December 2003 The joy of Christmas future is hardly writ in these stars. On the other hand, if there is work to be done and a difficulty to be faced, you’re looking at a week of serious success. This is an especially good moment to deal with a financial problem or to reach a monetary settlement: it is also a good week to put together a budget that will allow you to sleep a little easier once the bills start arriving in January! However, if you have been crossing your fingers and toes in the hopes that a fragile arrangement would hold together, accepting the reality may prove rather painful now. Chin up.
8th December 2003 - 14th December 2003 These alignments are the equivalent of dynamite in a bottle - and you know what you can do with explosives: you can eliminate obstacles and you can destroy long standing structures. It’s how you put the material to use that counts. For many Sagittarians this is a period when those things that and those people who appear to have delayed or frustrated your desires and ambitions finally give way; but for other members of your noble fire sign it is a time when old structures, whether they be aspects of your working life or personal associations, become part of your past. While there is much to recommend this early December period, waving red rags at raging bulls is not advised!
15th December 2003 - 21st December 2003 With 2003’s woes almost behind you it’s time to get into party mode. And who best equipped to help you shake off the blues but fearless and feisty Mars. On the 16th this planet rockets into the pleasure zone of your solar chart, making sure you enjoy the Christmas celebrations and that you get plenty of exercise in the process! Your only problem is retrograde Mercury, which could lead to a misunderstanding or a miscalculation - probably of the financial kind. Be as generous with your forgiveness as with your presents and harmony will reign.
22nd December 2003 - 28th December 2003 If you suddenly get a reminder that there are limits to your enthusiasm and generosity, it’s almost certainly Saturn aiming to put in a memorable appearance before Christmas. Monday is all about reality and reckonings, whether these are indeed of the financial kind or something rather more personal. Do your best to work through any glitch patiently and with a good heart: say to yourself - this too shall pass and soon enough you’ll feel that little glow of warmth and happiness within (not necessarily sparked by a tumbler of mulled red wine). Staying close to home for Christmas is the idea but if you have to travel, be prepared to take your time.
29th December 2003 - 4th January 2004 2003 goes out with a whimper rather than a bang - or perhaps a heavy Saturnian thud is nearer the mark. This is not the most jubilant start to a year, although if you have duties to fulfil and some serious plans to draw up, you have all the planetary help you need. Finances look to be the theme of the moment, whether you require funds for a major purchase or whether you have overstretched the budget, but while there may well be a need to cut down costs and your expectations there is no reason to head into despair mode. Until the autumn Jupiter will be creating opportunities for you to succeed in your ambitions and what now seems to be an uphill struggle, may instead turn out to be an uplifting journey.
5th January 2004 - 11th January 2004 This week represents the dawn of realization, and we’re talking money here. Wednesday’s full moon cuts across the financial axis of your solar chart, bringing to light any monetary anomalies and making you sharply aware of the state of your bank account. This full moon will help you set in motion a new financial order, but first clarity must be gained and some number crunching has to be done. By contrast this same astro-scape could preside over the signing of a contract, the setting of a date or the confirmation of a job. Indeed, the presence of Jupiter lends an extremely positive note to this week of awakenings.
12th January 2004 - 18th January 2004 It appears you are still counting the cost of Christmas past, whether in terms of finance or emotions and although the week ahead has much to recommend it astrology-wise, you will need to exercise caution with money and relationships. What you say and how you say it has rarely been so important and unless you are ready to go your independent way, thereby turning your back on an old support system, you should avoid giving an ultimatum or putting yourself in the position of receiving one. A new broom is sweeping clean on the home front, and while this may be reflected in house moves and property refurbishment, a family upset could leave lasting damage.
19th January 2004 - 25th January 2004 With Saturn making its final link in this current cycle to Mercury in the area of finances, it seems a trying period for money matters is all but at an end. Ideally, you should be tying up loose ends on a contract or financial commitment this week but if instead yet another problem rears its ugly head, deal with the situation promptly and practically. Saturn invariably forces us to make cut-backs and accept our limitations but once we have down-sized and come to live within our boundaries, a new kind of freedom and growth takes place. On the 21st a new moon in the zone of communications heralds the start of a more positive, outward-looking phase.
26th January 2004 - 1st February 2004 Late November produced a similar star spectacle so events of the next two weeks could have an echo of late 2003 about them. Perhaps you made a decision then or met someone at that time and the moment has come to appraise the situation and decide where you go from here. Certainly, there is a sense of the past coming into the present now, whether you connect with someone you haven’t seen for ages or deal with an issue that needs to be put to bed, so to speak. As usual when Pluto and Jupiter are involved the chances of a brilliant, heart-warming set of events are equal to those of a profound and challenging nature.
2nd February 2004 - 8th February 2004 If you have suffered from foot and mouth syndrome before, you will know just how damaging are the consequences of saying what you truly think - and, indeed, sometimes you would have altered your opinion anyway, had you given the situation a little longer to percolate. With this in mind, avoid acting on your feelings, and especially out of anger, hurt or outrage. Some of the pieces of the puzzle are missing and you yourself may not be thinking too clearly, therefore holding back is a wise move at this time. Also, if you are travelling or in discussion, be prepared for some detours, even a delay or cancellation. It’s the Neptune thing.
9th February 2004 - 15th February 2004 There is nothing you will not do for the object of your affection - no journey too far, no deed too great, no gift too expensive! But with this in mind you must be absolutely sure that your inamorata is worthy of all your efforts and devotion. Valentine’s Day sports one of the most realistic romantic combinations of all so while it is the perfect moment to say: “I do” - and for eternity - it is also the ideal time to find out whether or not you have let your imagination and your desires run away with you. Do not look for excuses or explanations for inappropriate behaviour now: it walks like a turkey and talks like a turkey, that’s what it is. A turkey!
16th February 2004 - 22nd February 2004 Feeling a little stale, not enough in your life to make you get up in the morning whooping for joy? Well, let’s see what a dose of Uranus can do to get you motivated and moving. Between the 19th and 23rd a series of liberating aspects will be taking place at the base of your chart, setting in motion a chain of events that will give you a brand new outlook. Home and family are the primary focus for these influences, making this an ideal moment to move house, make alterations to the home and/or welcome new faces into the family. And if you’ve been ignoring anything from the state of your bank account to someone’s feelings, your eyes are about to be opened.
23rd February 2004 - 29th February 2004 You may believe that nothing can surprise you but this late February period is full of unusual and dynamic influences, enough to raise the eyebrows of the most jaded Sag. Most of the diverse influences are taking place at the base of your solar chart, suggesting that a member of the family or the home itself is the source of any unexpected developments. If you want to get the best out of this week’s astrology, embark on a major spring-cleaning exercise. And while you may choose to literally eliminate the dust and debris that has been quietly cluttering up the home base, a better move might be to get rid of something that is preventing you from attaining a major target.
1st March 2004 - 7th March 2004 This is a time of extremes. Situations could change from day to day, and your mood swings along with them! For some Sagittarians what happens between now and the 7th will amount to the successful culmination of months of effort while for others a small incident or a minor problem will erupt into a three-act drama. Even if you are over the moon with happiness you will need to soften your delight around those who resent your success and if you are anything but pleased with events, you must avoid exaggerating the scale of the difficulty. What may help is realizing that winning the battle is not the same as winning the war!
8th March 2004 - 14th March 2004 Your Pluto alarm is about to go off - you know, that one that tells you when you are in danger of biting off more than you can chew or running into a brick wall of opposition! This is probably no great news to you since you have been watching a situation simmering gently and are waiting for it to bubble over, but thanks to your astrologer you know that time has come. The 13th looks to be the most power-packed day of March so while this may be the moment of truth, so to speak, it is also a day when you can achieve a major feather in your cap. You sense you have it within you to do great things: now you have an opportunity to prove it.
15th March 2004 - 21st March 2004 Not perhaps the most brilliant start to a week so don’t cut any corners and display a cavalier attitude to any errors on your part or complaints from others. Deal immediately with a problem and under no circumstances attempt to seal a major crack with a piece of sticking plaster! Nevertheless, as the week goes by, life gets lighter and brighter, and by the weekend there could be signs of approval in the form of a salary increase or some other career benefit. On the 20th the sun enters the creative and romantic fifth house, and with Mars arriving in the relationship zone the following day, it seems your love life is about to receive a badly needed shot in the arm.
22nd March 2004 - 28th March 2004 Uranus has been creating a stir at the base of your chart for the past few months and now Mars joins in the fun! Certainly, if you have been waiting for a signal to change a long-established order, here it comes with a flourish. Your love life could be the first beneficiary of these exciting influences, and the home front second. Perhaps you have been preparing for the weekend of the 27th for some time, because of a celebration or some other major life event; on the other hand, what happens then could represent an unexpected turning point. The actions of partners in particular and other people in general look set to amaze you.
29th March 2004 - 4th April 2004 Mars is already livening up your love life and from the 3rd Venus adds her divine touch. Venus usually spends a mere four weeks in the area of relationships but this year, her tour of duty lasts a full five months. This therefore is the beginning of a long season of key romantic developments. Some Sagittarians will marry and become engaged in the next few months, while others will experience business mergers and welcome new people into their lives; but for a few, between now and September represents a time when the distance between the reality of a relationship and your hopes and dreams seems larger than the Pacific Ocean.
5th April 2004 - 11th April 2004 Whatever verdict you may end up reaching about this Easter, it won’t be that it was boring. Venus and Mars in the area of relationships make for romantic sparks and out of the blue developments. Someone you love may whisk you away for a surprise treat and a gathering could have a very unusual aspect to it. The only problem with these electrifying stars is that instead of lighting up your life they may instead turn a smoldering situation into an inferno: in other words a small incident may get blown up out of all proportion and someone could make a move that astounds everyone else concerned. All the more reason therefore, to treat people with kid gloves and to have a contingency plan up your sleeve should an event not pan out quite as expected.
12th April 2004 - 18th April 2004 The week gets off to a promising start with Mars and Neptune in perfect accord. On the one hand, this peaceful and compassionate coupling could be just what you need to provide a soothing unction for a troubled relationship and, on the other, if you need to persuade anyone that your ideas are the best, they’re likely to agree with you. Last week was far from easy, and a romantic upset or some other unanticipated event may well have interfered with your perfect plans, so while you could simply allow these alignments to preside over a happy and fun-filled few days, you could also use them to mount a rescue and recovery mission.
19th April 2004 - 25th April 2004 With a sexy couple like Venus and Mars in the zone of love and partnership you cannot blame your stars for lack of action. Sweetness and harmony is another thing altogether, however, as you may well discover this week. Ideally, you should wait for partners and associates to make their moves before you embark on yours and even if there is a compelling reason to respond you should allow the dust to settle before doing so. Adding to the passionate mix is Pluto, a planet capable of bringing deeply buried feelings into the open and revealing secrets. Of course, what is exposed this week could be entirely heart-warming but in the event of an unwelcome disclosure, refrain from retaliation. Things could look very different by the end of next week.
26th April 2004 - 2nd May 2004 Venus is having an extended stay in the zone of love and relating so you are in a phase when romance takes a higher profile and things of a relationship kind top your agenda. Now this romantic planet stands opposed to the mighty Pluto so all manner of issues that have been bubbling away under the surface rise to be dealt with. For some Sagittarians, especially those with birthdays between the 8th and 13th December, it is time to make an all or nothing decision about a romantic or business partnership: for others this is a period when a loved one or close associate requires great understanding and support. And whenever you were born events of the next seven to ten days show you who and what matters most.
3rd May 2004 - 9th May 2004 Intrepid Sagittarian adventurers need to put the brakes on this week. You may want to cover a lot of ground but this you cannot do at speed or without checking your bearings virtually every step of the way. The 4th’s lunar eclipse straddles the areas of health and planning, thereby exposing any flaws in the system, and urging you to tie up loose ends and heed any distress signals uttered by a colleague, employer or partner. Admittedly, you may not discover all the answers to questions raised at this point, but rather than press on regardless, you should adopt a wait and see policy. May and June are both months when turning points are reached, and this week’s events could start the ball rolling.
10th May 2004 - 16th May 2004 Planning and forethought are not always Sagittarian strengths but this is precisely what you need now. You usually follow your instincts and your enthusiasms, which can lead to some less than wonderful outcomes so, especially where a new romance or a much-desired goal is concerned, success this time depends on a good strategy. On the one hand, this is a good week to take the pedal off the metal and reappraise one or more situations and, on the other, it is an ideal time to make contact with people who and organizations that can help you. This is also an appropriate moment to clear up a health worry and to focus on improving your fitness levels. You want to be in shape for June’s impressive alignments.
17th May 2004 - 23rd May 2004 Even if you haven’t got a throbbing new romance to immerse yourself in at the moment, the area of relationships is beginning to look very interesting. Or perhaps the source of a set of mixed messages is more to the point. The sun’s arrival in this area (20th) sets the stage for a month when other people play a larger than usual role in your life, so while some Archers will be preparing to make a long-term commitment, and others meeting people who will become central to their lives, a few will be ready to end a once binding agreement. Clouding the issues, however, is the lovely Venus. This planet will be retrograde between now and the end of June so before you reach any kind of verdict, remind yourself that there is more water to flow under the bridge.
24th May 2004 - 31st May 2004 You are a sign who moves at speed and whose actions are spontaneous: most of the time these characteristics serve you well and make you the successful and popular individual you are, however, just occasionally you need to take a leaf out of next-door-neighbour, Capricorn’s book and move slowly and cautiously. Now is the time for a strategy and the moment to listen to what others have to say and offer. There is a chance that an arrangement will come to an end now, and you should certainly welcome the opportunity to take a pit stop where a working or romantic relationship is concerned. And although Wednesday’s Uranian climate could release you from an unsatisfactory commitment, you will need to ensure that you’re not creating more hassle for yourself.
31st May 2004 - 6th June 2004 Between now and the 15th June represents one of the most important periods of 2004: many questions will be answered, and issues that have been percolating gently come bubbling over. And this is especially the case for those of you with birthdays on or near 13th December. Thursday’s full moon in Sagittarius gives you the power and the illumination to make a move that you have been considering for some time; it may also mark decision time for a working or romantic relationship. Passions are certainly aroused this week, but while you may feel compelled to follow the call of your heart and/or the strength of your argument, think carefully before you burn all your bridges.
7th June 2004 - 13th June 2004 Six months have passed since the sun hooked up to Pluto in your sign, so you are at a point of assessment and reappraisal: decisions you may have taken in December and events that took place are linked, directly or indirectly, to current developments. And this is especially so for the 8th - 13th December birthdays. While some six months ago, you may have taken events into your own hands, now it is the turn of others to influence your actions. Indeed, relationships are the primary source of this week’s highs and lows. You get to see just how valued you are by partners, associates and organizations, giving rise to great celebrations in some Sagittarian households and something of a wake in others.
14th June 2004 - 20th June 2004 On the 17th, a new moon heralds a new cycle, first and foremost for relationships and your love life. And, given that you may well have been through something of a tsunami recently, the prospect of a new start could be welcome indeed. Of course, some Sagittarians are (or are about to be) ten feet off the ground with happiness, due to a new romance or wonderful developments in an established relationship, but in the main this is a challenging period, and one when partners, associates or organizations are the cause of upheaval and angst. While I am not encouraging you to become a doormat and allow everyone to walk all over you, nor should you force issues or resist enforced changes.
21st June 2004 - 27th June 2004 A new, more introspective and reflective, you is emerging under these stars. It may be that a relationship is taking you into areas of feeling and connectedness previously unknown to you, or it could be events that are causing you to go deeply within yourself for reasons and answers. Yet there are other astrological influences that are opening up new avenues of possibility and urging you to see a lot more of your world. This is an excellent time to put your finances under the microscope so that you know exactly what your commitments are and how much you are worth - actions that are also appropriate with a relationship. When you know where you are, you will be able to take off and fly, so to speak.
28th June 2004 - 4th July 2004 You may have to do some number crunching this week, by which I mean that alignments in a key financial zone of your horoscope are urging you to look at the state of your finances. The full moon of the 2nd may well illuminate an error in your calculations; on the other hand, you could be about to sign a long-term financial agreement: either way, you need to look carefully at the figures to ensure that you are not biting off more than you can chew. And this same advice could also apply to your love life! Venus, currently in the area of partnerships, gets her wheels back on, aiding the course of true love, and helping you to see someone in his or her true light.
5th July 2004 - 11th July 2004 Sagittarians expect life to be good, and usually it is. But just occasionally a planet like Saturn comes along and reminds us that there are bills to be paid, duties to be attended to and people who make demands on us. And this could be one of those weeks. Finances are the most likely area to produce a glitch this week, whether you and a partner have a fundamental disagreement about money or whether a financial institution proves unaccommodating. The best way around any problem is to deal with it practically and avoid dramas and tantrums. What you settle under Saturn will not only add greatly to your bank of knowledge but help you to sleep soundly through the night.
12th July 2004 - 18th July 2004 Being lost for words is no excuse for blundering into an action that you may have cause to regret: likewise, if you cannot see where you’re headed, don’t move on blindly. Now, this may seem an obvious piece of advice but when Neptune is weaving a fine mist around your life, you can be convinced that what you see is real, and that what you do is right. For some Sagittarians this week is all about travel delays and re-routings but for the majority the pitfalls of the next seven days lie in your dealings with other people - your conversations and negotiations. Keep your focus at all times, and if the facts don’t add up, or someone is being evasive, refuse to go any further for the time being.
19th July 2004 - 25th July 2004 Venus and Jupiter are a dream ticket - they boost your ego, they give you a good time, and sometimes they bring love of the glorious kind into your life. Now, were it just up to these two at the moment, you would probably have one of the best weeks of the year, but, somewhat inconveniently, Pluto is waiting in the wings, and this planet breeds turbulence and tantrums. Should you have chosen this mid-July period for a wedding or some other kind of celebration, these stars will indeed give you the time of your life, but if a relationship is already in deep water it won’t take much to submerge it! 8th-13th December birthdays are centre stage of the astrology now, whether you are doing all for love or all out of love.
26th July 2004 - 1st August 2004 Intrepid adventurer you may be, but this does not mean you have to go where angels fear to tread without an insurance policy! Saturday’s full moon straddles the axis of travel and communications, urging you to go slowly and to think twice before uttering an undiluted opinion or making an impulse move. Sometimes, full moons preside over the signing of a contract or the completion of a project, thus giving rise to festivities and feelings of achievement, but at other times, a full moon will up the emotional amps causing people act in the heat of the moment. To cut and run is sometimes the best policy, but with more liberating influences to come throughout August, my advice would be to hold your horses for now.
2nd August 2004 - 8th August 2004 This is not the week to jump in the deep end without your water-wings. I am not saying that you cannot take a big step this week but I am urging you to be a little more cautious. Jupiter and Pluto make the good things of life even better but they also inflate the bad, therefore an insurance policy of some description is required. Another feature of this week’s astrology is that you may not be able to discern whether someone is telling you the truth, or painting an unusually rosy picture of the situation - and vice versa, what may reach you as disappointing news could, in fact, be a gross exaggeration. Enjoy the fun events on offer, but keep a small part of yourself in reserve.
9th August 2004 - 15th August 2004 There is so much that is good in your horoscope this week that almost anything you do will come up roses. Notice, of course, that little word, almost! Travel and communications buff, Mercury, does an about-turn on Tuesday setting in motion a short season of mis-direction and mistakes. The reason I mention this is that in order to make the most of these beautiful influences, build in extra time for journeys and make sure that everyone concerned in an arrangement is fully in the picture. Otherwise, you can look forward to a week of positive developments. Indeed, if you have a special date or are awaiting results, expect a triumph. And even in the event of a set-back, you will regain any lost ground sooner than you think.
16th August 2004 - 22nd August 2004 Just as you were getting used to the laid-back pace of life, along comes jack-in-the-box Uranus! This planet jolts us out of any comfortable ruts and awakens us to realities we are blissfully unaware of. When Uranus occupies the spotlight, frustrations get the better of us - we make statements and take actions that we might have cause to regret later. Then again, if you've been planning to make a big change to your life Uranus helps you do so in style. First in line for a new look is your career, so you may now receive news of an impending move or promotion. However, to be on the safe side you should be open to sudden and unexpected decisions that affect your current plans and future prospects.
23rd August 2004 - 29th August 2004 This is anything but a dull, routine week: Uranus, the Cosmic Joker, is in charge so there are bound to be some weird and wacky developments. Maintaining your balance and your sense of the ironic are essential in a climate like this, as is not being too attached to specific outcomes. Late November birthdays are most sensitive to Uranian bolts from the blue this year, so if you are already feeling frustrated with someone or something do your best not to blow a fuse now. One of the pluses to Uranus is that you get to see people and situations from a new perspective, and sometimes a brilliant window of opportunity appears, so although you should tread carefully this week, this does not mean that you will not be basking in the glow of success by the weekend.
30th August 2004 - 5th September 2004 Wake up and smell the coffee! With Pluto and Mercury getting their act back together, a situation that has been shrouded in mystery begins to make sense: likewise anything placed on hold should start to move. Now, these should be positive developments for most celestial Archers, but there is a chance that some of you will be dismayed by a turn of events. Maybe, you have been in denial or too busy to notice that something or someone is not in a happy state; thus, this week's stars force you to confront the truth. This is the right time to cut down your obligations - financial and otherwise - and the perfect moment to make a difficult decision. Forget about short-term fixes - think long term and long haul.
6th September 2004 - 12th September 2004 The past is either repeating itself at present or you are considering the events of some months ago with a view to doing something about them. Indeed, the month in question may well be June: if so, you now have an opportunity to set a wrong to rights, or deal with a matter that you sidelined. This week Pluto is angled by Mars and the sun, which although a somewhat combative influence is also transformative and dynamic. In a nutshell, you now have all you need in the sense of timing and drive to deal with a challenging situation and triumph. By contrast, this powerful planetary trio could make for unexpected changes, first and foremost in regard to your job and, second a long-standing association.
13th September 2004 - 19th September 2004 This continues to be an unsettling period of the year. Yes, it's the right time to change some long established pattern of your existence but the planets aren't exactly making it easy for you. Even with a planned changed of residence or a keenly anticipated job development, there are unscheduled detours and people making dramas out of minor issues. And since this is such a volatile week, you will have to swallow your true opinions and put yourself into placate and pacify mode - that is, if you want to keep a friend or remain on good terms with an organization. By Friday, a more upbeat and upwardly-mobile trend sets in; all the more reason therefore to put patience before passion.
20th September 2004 - 26th September 2004 If you have reached this point in September with all your plans in perfect shape, you are in the Sagittarian minority. Pluto has been rumbling and roaring from the outset, and especially if you have a 7th - 13th December birthday you may have seen a relationship or some other aspect of your existence sink like a stone. You might like to view the events of this period as a master-class in pruning so that by getting rid of the dead wood and generally cutting back you are ensuring growth and abundance in the future. Gardening tips notwithstanding, whether you achieve a major feather in your cap this week or whether you have to write off an endeavour, growth is assured.
27th September 2004 - 3rd October 2004 Sagittarians never do anything by halves, and certainly not under Jupiterian aspects like these. On the one hand, you will exceed other people's expectations of you now, whether through your success or how far you are prepared to go for what you want, and on the other hand, your reaction to events could be over the top, even by your standards! The creative centre of your chart is the setting for these larger than life influences so you can bring something marvellous into being at this time. What you may need to control, however, is your tendency to shoot from the hip before you have considered the consequences of your statements or actions. Some people you can't afford to alienate.
4th October 2004 - 10th October 2004 Has life been a little dull recently? Have you been looking for an outlet for your energy and enterprise? Well, here it comes with knobs on! Right from Monday events move swiftly and in ways you could not have predicted. Venus, the planet of love and harmony is currently on a mission to improve your outlook, especially where your career and role in life is concerned, yet it seems something has got in the way of your progress: it may be that someone is opposed to your ideas and your success, or it could be that you are stubbornly heading along a route that is not good for you. With this in mind, whatever opportunity arises now or whatever is denied you, seize the chance to diversify.
11th October 2004 - 17th October 2004 If you play your cards right, this is going to be a very constructive week; throw a drama because you haven't got your way, and you'll make even more work for yourself. Saturn's presence puts you on orange alert, by which I mean there is a need for caution: you should put on the brakes and look for potential hazards. This done, you should reach the end of the week without a dent in your reputation or a minus of any description. Finances and working or romantic alliances are the current hot spot, so be prepared to work patiently through a problem and don't fuss if you have to make a cut-back or have to delete an item on your wish list. A sacrifice made now could pave the way for success in the future.
18th October 2004 - 24th October 2004 Leading light Jupiter has disappeared from centre stage, and in his place arrive the princes of darkness, Saturn and Pluto! So, laughter will be on hold for a few days. It may be that there are still some loose ends to tie up from the events of June or September; on the other hand, a situation that has been all but forgotten could be back with a vengeance. There is both an element of fate and the past about the current astrological package, and it may seem that the spiritual law of cause and affect, karma, is working overtime. This would be an ideal period in which to make a big and permanent life-change, and if some unwelcome changes are forced upon you, see them as purposeful and worthwhile.
24th October 2004 - 31st October 2004 I have news for you - you're not a super-hero. You cannot run at full speed 24/7 without draining your physical and emotional batteries - something this week's lunar eclipse could bring home to you in no uncertain terms. This is a period in which you need to put your health first and everything else second, and while I am not saying that there is something wrong with you, with the sun in the subterranean twelfth house you are at your most vulnerable and require more rest and relaxation. Should a secret be revealed now, or you become aware of a change of heart, let your emotions die down before making your move - a new way forward in the near future is also indicated in this week's stars.
1st November 2004 - 7th November 2004 On the 4th, Chief of communications, Mercury, arrives in your sign, helping you to formulate ideas, exchange information and generally make progress. However, before this planet can get into its stride, it must meet with unpredictable Uranus (6th). On the one hand, this meeting could bring secrets into the open and awaken you to previously undreamed of possibilities, but, on the other hand, you could be prevented from following a course that you believed to be set in stone. A detour is what is needed now: there are alternatives to a plan, and other people do indeed have different ideas and feelings from you. All you need to be is patient and adaptable.
8th November 2004 - 14th November 2004 Until the sun enters your sign later this month, you may not be in full possession of the facts so it will be difficult to reach the right decision. And since you are a sign who likes to deal with a problem quickly and move on, you will need extra supplies of patience now. Coming to your aid is little Mercury, currently in your sign, and sharpening your communication skills. Therefore, you should take the time to canvas opinion from people in positions of power and influence, or at least individuals in whom you trust. This is also a good week in which to travel and to reach people and places at some distance from you - in both terrestrial and metaphorical terms.
15th November 2004 - 21st November 2004 When three planets with equally strong but differing principles are vying for ascendancy, we often find ourselves on the horns of a dilemma. It may be that you have more than one pressing situation on your hands so that you feel pulled in several directions, or, perhaps, something that started out simple and straightforward is becoming increasingly complex. Whatever is causing you conflict at the moment, try to gain some distance and perspective before you commit yourself to action. On Sunday, the sun will enter your sign, bringing with it renewed energy and clarity, and helping you to see where your true loyalties lie, and what really matters.
22nd November 2004 - 28th November 2004 Wake up calls are Uranus's stock in trade, and you get all Uranus has to offer, and more, this week. Especially if it is your birthday between the 24th and 28th, not only does your year ahead represent the end of one era and the start of another, but this week may prove to be the springboard to this new phase of life. Certainly the seeds of future change are being planted at this time. I would not describe the next few days as a piece of cake - and you'll have to watch your step with partners and employers - but if you have wanted the ammunition with which to get an endeavour off the ground, or the impetus to get out of a frustrating or painful commitment, here it comes with bells and whistles.
29th November 2004 - 5th December 2004 Sagittarians rely on their instincts; they go with the moment, their eyes trained on objectives far away in the distance. You prefer not to waste time in planning and preparation. Now, these strategies usually serve you well, but they get you into a whole lot of trouble when Neptune is in the ascendant, which it is this week. While I am not encouraging you to be suspicious and fearful, you should be a little more careful in whom you place your trust. In this slippery climate people are at best unreliable and mis-informed but at worst someone could be deliberately mis-leading you, and vital information could be lost.
Don't miss a trick.
6th December 2004 - 12th December 2004 As the Christmas lights go on, Pluto arrives with an early present, probably in the form of one of those moments of truth. Especially if it is your birthday this week, another opportunity arises for you to get rid of aspects of your life you simply do not need any more, and while this may amount to household clutter, it is more likely to apply to a pattern of behaviour or a commitment. There are some powerful energies at work in the cosmos at the moment, which are stirring feelings and memories that have been slumbering for some time. Therefore do not be surprised if you suddenly have an epiphany or someone else makes a life-changing move.
Bringing in the light.
13th December 2004 - 19th December 2004 On Thursday, you receive an early Christmas present from the cosmic angels - the arrival of beautiful Venus in your sign. At the very least, this planet will make life seem sweeter and brighter, and certainly more sociable, but at best a relationship may be about to blossom and a success of some description could be winging its way to you. However, before Venus can get into her stride, Pluto and Uranus have work to do, which, especially for the late November and mid-December birthdays, means out with the old and in with the new, whether this amounts to a major domestic clean up or the abrupt termination of a contract.
Time for a life edit?
20th December 2004 - 26th December 2004 On Monday, little Mercury stops backpedaling thereby unblocking the pipes of communication and making travel less of a hassle. However, you may still feel somewhat at war with the world and likely to overreact to minor upsets. Delegation of duties is one way of ensuring a sane run up to the Christmas weekend: accepting that life does not have to be perfect is another. You still have Venus, like a Christmas angel, lighting your path and helping you realize that you are indeed loved and appreciated. And for some celestial Archers the reason this week is so special is that someone will make you an offer you simply cannot refuse.
A Christmas for the memory books.
27th December 2004 - 2nd January 2005 Have no fears that the year will end on a quiet and insignificant note: with Uranus playing Master of Ceremonies the offerings are going to be spectacular, especially if you have a November birthday. Hopefully, you will be the one making a splash and encouraging others to let it all hang out, but just in case someone else creates some unexpected fireworks, do your best not to add fuel to the fire. (You don't want to start 2005 looking for olive branches and mending fences ! ) The reason this New Year is special for some Sagittarians is because you are leaving the past behind and stepping into a new and rather wonderful future.
Let the fireworks begin.
3rd January 2005 - 9th January 2005 Pluto returns with a flourish this week - and, if you've forgotten what this planet can do for you in the way of sweeping aside elements of the past, then cast your mind back to mid-December and mid-September. In many ways this is an ideal moment to embark on a new regime and to close a door on a past commitment, so you should welcome any enforced changes and remain upbeat about any apparent set-backs. The crucial factor regarding this week's unforeseen developments is how you react - by displaying grace and understanding, you will win admiration: you could even turn a difficulty into a triumph.
It's a question of attitude.
10th January 2005 - 16th January 2005 Do not judge the rest of your year by the events of early January. First Pluto and now Saturn have made an early appearance, with the intention of keeping you on your toes. Finances are the focus of the planetary challenge this week, and while a new moon suggests a new source of income or a positive development regarding your monetary situation, Saturn could put a bit of a damper on events. At best, this alignment will coincide with the completion of a contract or the purchase of a property or major investment, but at worst you may face a slight cash-flow crisis. Be conservative in your estimates and cautious in your dealings - financial and otherwise.
Money talks.
17th January 2005 - 23rd January 2005 Feeling energetic? Ready to fight the good fight? Thanks to feisty Mars in your sign you should be up 'em and at 'em this week - and with some positive results. Recent developments may have dented your ego at least, and produced a major setback at worst, but you are getting back some of your bounce, and certainly your resolve. A situation can be attacked from a new angle now, and people who have been out of touch or unavailable to you for reasons other than terrestrial distance could be open to discussions. Resist the temptation to be a martyr - so unlike the philosophical Archer - and recognize where you should target your arrows of desire and who is firmly in your camp.
Get back in the saddle.
24th January 2005 - 30th January 2005 The Archer is an uncomplicated creature - you have a target in mind, a destination in sight, and aiming your arrows of desire you head straight for it. Not so this week however. Should you have made an error in your calculations or stepped on someone's toes, you are going to find out just how much that mistake has cost you. Facing the music is best done under Saturn, because once an understanding is made and a debt repaid, you can start afresh, older and certainly wiser. Not that these influences are all pain and retribution! Indeed, for some Sagittarians the efforts and struggles of the past few months or years are about to be rewarded.
Faith, hope and clarity!
31st January 2005 - 6th February 2005 It will be all too easy to lose your way this week. Now, this may translate quite literally in terms of long distance travel and short but unfamiliar journeys, but you may also misinterpret someone's statements or make an error of judgment. There will be ways around this trend - maintaining your focus is one, getting all information in writing is another - and provided you keep track of paperwork and arrangements you will be free to enjoy the more sublime aspects to planet Neptune. Yes, this is a week when romance flourishes and you can exchange feelings and understandings of the most beautiful kind. Indeed, I'm tempted to say: dream on!
Losing the plot?
7th February 2005 - 13th February 2005 Sweet communications are the subject of this week's stars. Travel could be one source of pleasure, a warm and wonderful exchange of words could be another, and if you're seeking to widen your sphere of influence on the professional or social front, or wanting to increase your knowledge and experience in any way, Jupiter puts the wind in your sails. There is an element of luck surrounding you at present, although you would be wiser relying on your own efforts to get you places. Also, if you have been on poor terms with anyone or separated from a loved one, these are the perfect stars under which to reunite or at least to wave an olive branch.
Making the right move.
14th February 2005 - 20th February 2005 Words carry great meaning now, so don't be too quick to judge a statement from the heart: listen carefully and take into consideration where the other person is coming from - not everyone shoots from the hip like the celestial Archer. One of the problems with this week's alignments is that they are subtle and dream-like, so you have to use your intuition to comprehend what is really going on, and you too should be cautious with your actions and declarations. A romance could take off, a dream of an invitation could come your way, or you could seriously lose the plot with a relationship or a working project. Indeed, there is much to lose and gain.
Tread sensitively.
21st February 2005 - 27th February 2005 Your patience threshold is about to be breached. And since the area of home and family is highlighted, it could be that a situation you have been tolerating for some time, and with the belief that you could continue to do so indefinitely, suddenly becomes unbearable. Perhaps the home itself can no longer wait for a make-over, or maybe time has run out regarding a situation with a member of the family, but in whatever way push comes to shove now, do your best to keep your cool. Thursday is the day with the mostest - most aggravation, yet also the most potential for changing a long and unsatisfactory pattern.
Liberation and illumination.
28th February 2005 - 7th March 2005 Sagittarians are not renowned for their patience so you will have to try extra hard this week to keep a lid on your emotions - as my old psychology professor was fond of saying: suffer frustration! Current events could have their origins in those of early to mid-December 2004, whether a plan now comes to fruition or whether the steps taken by you or others at this time are influenced by the events of late last year. On the one hand, this is an ideal week to make a big change on the home and family front or to begin a new endeavour - especially one related to your career - but on the other hand a simmering domestic situation could reach boiling point with some very unpredictable results.
Hold your horses.
7th March 2005 - 13th March 2005 With Saturn's residence in the zone of money and joint interests, there has been a major learning curve taking place here for the past twenty months. Thanks to Saturn's prodding already you may have been able to put finances onto a firmer footing but if not, there is still some time in which wise money moves can be made. With this in mind the week ahead offers you an opportunity to talk money with financial institutions or to discuss finances with a partner or employer. Such talks, however, may well be precipitated by a cash flow crisis or some other development that temporarily rocks your financial boat. Don't panic; negotiate, negotiate.
Money talks.
14th March 2005 - 20th March 2005 You have another opportunity to edit aspects of your life that are draining your resources and proving to be burdens rather than assets. While you may choose this moment to give the home a super spring-clean, you could also decide that someone or something has passed its sell-by date. Pluto is always easier to handle when you are the choreographer of change but should an individual or an organization make you the object of a streamlining exercise, do not feel rejected or despondent. What you cannot see now is that any enforced changes are part of your destiny, and this time next year you will be in a happier, more fulfilling space.
Que sera sera.
21st March 2005 - 27th March 2005 Let the games begin! You are at your fun loving best and ready to enjoy whatever life has to offer: you can also put a disappointment or disagreement behind you. Indeed, this week's astro-scape is a far cry from that of the week before, so if you sustained a bruising of sorts, these aspects will do much to ease the pain. Friday's full moon highlights the creative axis of your solar chart indicating the end of a gestation period: you may know precisely what has been 'cooking' over recent weeks and months and are looking forward to the finished product but even if you have nothing to show for your efforts and patience a new phase is about to begin: spring is sprung!
The end of a chapter.
28th March 2005 - 3rd April 2005 It does not always follow that because the planets are in perfect harmony so too are you, but a happy cosmos like this should diffuse difficulties and set a challenging situation in a brighter light. With this in mind, should you be dealing with a residue of problems or the remnants of some painful emotions, with some effort and determination on your part you can find a way to enjoy the week ahead. Bringing great things into being is the theme of the moment, whether you start a new venture, bring together like-minded people for the purposes of work or pleasure, or dip your toes in the shallows of a new romance. It's the start of a whole new season.
A fresh outlook.
4th April 2005 - 10th April 2005 Knowing where the boundaries lie is always a useful exercise, so you have much to look forward to in the way of epiphanies this week. Certainly, this is the perfect moment to discover whether or not you have overreached yourself financially and also to establish just how far you're prepared to go for a relationship or a major objective. With Saturn, you gain definition and consolidation, yet you also get to see the pitfalls in endeavours and associations, should they exist. Thus, while the tone of the week may be serious you could nonetheless achieve much. Don't expect fanfares and fireworks for the moment - the celebrations come later.
Knowing where you stand.
11th April 2005 - 17th April 2005 Pluto does not always do you a great many favours but when he is sweetly aligned to the sun and Venus it brings out his best. Thus, armed with this knowledge you can mount a charm offensive and set to rights a past wrong. Indeed, dipping into the past for nostalgic reasons or for the purposes of getting to the roots of situations could be the reason this week is so memorable. Add to this Mercury's turning direct, and more than one matter could be cleared up now and a new path embarked upon. Elsewhere in the cosmos, however, things aren't quite so plain-sailing, and you will need to watch out for silly mistakes and inconvenient mix-ups.
Maintain your focus.
18th April 2005 - 24th April 2005 Sagittarius paints life with broad brush strokes - dealing with the minutia is for other signs - however, you are beginning a short season when details count. You'll need to make sure that each part of a plan is perfect and if some small thing is wrong with an object or an endeavour do not ignore it - you'll end up with a bigger problem further down the line. To a certain extent this is also the message of Sunday's lunar eclipse: what is revealed now in the way of a flaw, distress signal or difference of opinion requires immediate attention. And if you have been flogging a dead horse, so to speak, now could be the moment to set it free.
Focus, focus.
25th April 2005 - 1st May 2005 Sagittarius rarely needs an excuse to party, but just in case you've lost your lust for life, here come some extravagant and romantic alignments to boost your spirits. Great things can come into being now, whether they happen spontaneously or whether you create them yourself, and what may have once appeared to be a deadlocked situation could suddenly start to shift. There is, however, a slight chance that this trend for increase and high spirits will promise more than it delivers, and should you pick up a distress signal or sense that something is not as solid and sure as it might be, attend to matters immediately.
A stitch in time...
2nd May 2005 - 8th May 2005 You could walk away from a trying situation, but you'd probably be creating more trouble for yourself in the process. Ideally, you should face the music and make a sensible decision, even if it does involve extra work or the loss of an object of desire. Mercury-Saturn aspects are the epitome of sense and sensibleness, and often what you sacrifice or come to terms with sets the stage for success and happiness further down the line - call it a learning curve, if you like. Neptune, however, complicates matters, since what appears to be the reality could in fact be subtle distortions of the truth and rather too much high drama.
Keep your feet on the ground.
9th May 2005 - 15th May 2005 Quite the best news of the past few weeks is the entry of harmony-bringer, Venus, into the relationship sector. Between now and early June represents one of the most fruitful periods of the year for relationships in general and your love life in particular. Should you need support for your ambitions, now is the moment to actively search for such a person or organization, and if you've been lovelorn or seeking to cement your love, the gods are with you, so to speak. However, before you float away on that pink cloud of hope, Mars and Uranus need to awaken you to a reality or two - time also to put your house in order, in every sense of the phrase.
Ignorance is not bliss.
16th May 2005 - 22nd May 2005 It's a rare Sagittarian who follows protocol and applies caution but it would be a wise one at this point in time. Those of you with late November and early December birthdays have been periodically dodging Uranian bullets for the last eighteen months, and here we are in another such volatile time. Partners in particular and other people in general are likely to be the bringers of the unusual and the unexpected, so try your hardest to accommodate any bizarre behaviour or out of the blue events. Since romantic Venus is part of this unpredictable package, a sudden change of heart or declaration of passion could be on the agenda.
Never say never.
23rd May 2005 - 29th May 2005 While all full moons tend to up the emotional amps, they also encourage reflection and re-appraisal. But when a full moon is in your sign, as it is on the 23rd, feelings become even more intense and the need to engage in contemplation and review is ever more necessary. Indeed, this is a big week for many Sagittarians, since over the weekend Venus, the planet of love and balance will be opposed to mighty Pluto. This is the kind of climate in which people do all for love, and it is under these stars that events leave a powerful signature on your life. All the more reason therefore, to think very carefully before you make a long-term commitment or perform any sort of all or nothing gesture.
Take your time.
30th May 2005 - 5th June 2005 If taking it easy was your goal this week, you may need to rethink your ideas. Indeed you may need to reconsider more than one notion. While Uranus inspires controversial and unexpected events Pluto brings to the surface issues that have been building quietly for some time: in other words this week represents something of a volcano - rumbling has come to roar. On a good day, these two planets will encourage you to take bold and radical actions, and they will introduce you to new territory, but on a bad day they destroy illusions and sometimes bring an end to a situation that you had believed to be unchanging and unchangeable.
Nothing stays the same forever.
6th June 2005 - 12th June 2005 I wouldn't describe this week's astro-scape as fun on sticks but if you have a major task to accomplish or you have been waiting for the impetus to do something - anything! - about a situation, you have it in spades. Other people in general and partners in particular may have important information to share with you, and this is certainly a period in which big decisions can be made. Not for the first time has it been said that a relationship stands or falls under Plutonic skies, and at the very least you now get to test the strength of a romantic, marital or working alliance. There is nothing light and superficial about events at this time: they're the kind that leave a deep and lasting imprint.
Disclosures and decisions.
13th June 2005 - 19th June 2005 It may seem as if other people are the root cause of any current crisis - in fact that may be true - however, hoping and praying that they will resolve your problem is no solution: it's up to you. It may be that you are experiencing some difficulties with a partner or associate, and, perhaps in some cases, a serious rift has developed: if you cannot bridge that gap with discussion and compromise then you need to accept that a door has closed and your way forward is in a whole new direction. The answers may not come in a blinding flash, but once you stop trying to make something happen, come what may, alternatives will come to you.
Stop pushing.
20th June 2005 - 26th June 2005 Jupiter and Saturn share equal billing this week, which either means a disappointment in one area of life is balanced by a success in another or that a high price must be paid to achieve the result you want. June has been a month of glorious ups and serious downs but at last life is settling down and with it come realizations and reckonings. In some ways this is the ideal time to nail your colours to the mast and stand up for what and in whom you believe yet there is also an aura of chickens coming home to roost, which may mean that a past mistake now has to be acknowledged and righted. Hold your head high, Sagittarius.
Reaching understandings.
27th June 2005 - 3rd July 2005 You have the reputation of being one of the luckier signs of the zodiac but with Uranus and Pluto as your constant companions you may have been hard pressed to believe your own publicity recently, however, thanks to these extravagant stars you could be back to your old form. A financial or personal boost is indicated, and this is an ideal week in which to make a major monetary investment, especially in regard to a property or a business partnership. Other people have not always been as generous in spirit or in material ways as you, but this is a period of the year when you get to see what individuals and organizations really can do for you.
Pleasures and rewards.
4th July 2005 - 10th July 2005 Like any explorer the thoughts of new places to conquer is enough to get you out of a trough of low pressure yet it's not only the prospect of travel and discovery that could be bringing a smile to your face but also signs of financial progress. Aside from unexpected windfalls this is an excellent time to take on new financial commitments and to discuss with monetary institutions ways to ease and improve your financial position. Distant people and places also figure in your stars, whether you are bound for foreign shores or making music in personal or professional terms with individuals or organizations far from familiar turf.
Broadening your horizons.
11th July 2005 - 17th July 2005 Just for a change Pluto goes on a charm offensive, with the purpose of getting you to have more faith in your hopes and plans. Even without any solid evidence that a situation will bear fruit, you may feel encouraged and invigorated, however, the chances are that you will see real signs of success now, and any offers or positive developments should be seized upon and celebrated. Also in your long term interests is Saturn's arrival in your fellow fire sign, Leo: for the next two years opportunities will arise for you to spread your influence on a wider scale, whether this means a strong international flavour to your life or greater personal and professional recognition.
Looking to the future.
18th July 2005 - 24th July 2005 Saturn has just entered an area where it can be of great help to you. As a fire sign you are enterprising and adventurous but sometimes you lack the persistence and commitment to see your plans through to fruition: over the next two years it is Saturn's job to encourage you to reach your objectives, whether they be personal and romantic or professional and financial, and to bring more substance to your life. This new trend may well become evident this week, whether you are required to make a legally binding agreement or whether the bones of a situation are fleshed out. Nevertheless nothing can be achieved in a hurry and you will need a supply of patience pills.
Slowly but surely.
25th July 2005 - 31st July 2005 Been feeling ever so slightly bored recently? Fed up with obligations and responsibilities? Well, I'm not about to encourage you to sabotage a perfectly good relationship or throw an entirely satisfactory endeavour out of the window, but I am suggesting that you make a necessary change. While Saturday's Venus-Uranus opposition could set the winds of change blowing on the home or job front, Mars and Saturn are urging you to bring blue-prints into reality, especially those that have a foreign or far-ranging feel to them. The next few days may have their anxious moments but a happy ending is in sight, and certainly a result.
A sea-change.
1st August 2005 - 7th August 2005 Wanderlust is written all over your stars this week. Always the sign who loves travel and adventure you now have some serious opportunities to spread your wings and prove that your world is indeed a constantly expanding experience. Yet while some celestial Archers will be taking off to foreign destinations, or at least making travel plans for the future, others will be more preoccupied with grand designs of a personal or professional nature. And while there is some need to watch out for errors and over-optimistic projections, you are in one of the more promising phases of 2005. Go, seek!
Travel hopefully.
8th August 2005 - 14th August 2005 Feeling passionate? Ready for lurve? I do hope so, because these stars are full of heat. Thanks to Venus and Pluto a new relationship could become far more intense, and even an old one may spring back to life, but if you have an axe to grind with anyone or a situation has been simmering for a little too long, expect the earth to move in a less than welcome way. What you will also need to watch out for is that you are not reacting on false information or that you have become blinded to the reality through your own strong feelings. Certainly, if you've been complaining that life is dull recently, fasten your seat belts!
Taking off.
15th August 2005 - 21st August 2005 Progress may not have been exactly speedy recently but with Mercury turning direct on the 16th gradually the pipes of communication will become unblocked. The far horizons zone of your chart continues to be in the frame throughout August, making this a premium month for foreign travel and meetings with people from afar, and with this week's inspiring influences guiding your way, this could be the highpoint of your travels and experiences. Endeavours and associations that come into being now should enrich you on all levels, and if there has been a recent misunderstanding this is the moment to mend fences and build bridges.
Healing influences.
22nd August 2005 - 28th August 2005 Diversification is not a challenge for Sagittarius - you thrive on the new and the different - yet focus is sometimes difficult to acquire, especially when Neptune once again spreads a dense mist over life. You need to feel your way carefully in a climate like this, whether you are indeed travelling to unfamiliar destinations or negotiating with individuals and organizations. Go into meetings armed with the facts and don't be in too much of a hurry to digest the small print: and if embarking on journeys, take a map and be sure you have all your baggage! Is there a plus to this week's dreamlike landscape? Absolutely. Love can be a many splendoured thing...
Get a grip.
29th August 2005 - 4th September 2005 After the dreamscape that was August, here comes a wake-up call in the form of a sun-Uranus opposition. Not since June have there been such opportunities to bring a breath of fresh air into life and love - then again, you might not be the choreographer of change but on the receiving end of someone else's brilliant idea. Domestic moves and career developments top the list of possibilities this week, especially if you have an early December birthday, however, any area of life that is sprouting cobwebs could be the focus for a major spring-cleaning exercise. Do your best to go along with the flow, even if it does feel more like a torrent.
Ride the wave.
5th September 2005 - 11th September 2005 Routine and repetition dull the Sagittarian spirit so it is at least comforting to know that you won't be suffering boredom this week, nor, indeed, for much of September. Mercury, currently enhancing the area of career and life-direction, is opposed by innovative Uranus - a recipe for the unusual and the unexpected. You yourself could reach the end of your tether with a long-standing situation, thereby opening up a new avenues of possibility, on the other hand, an individual or an organization could make a move that shunts you in a whole new direction. While a change of course is a positive thing, resorting to an angry volley of words and slamming the door on an association is not the best way to achieve it.
Count to ten.
12th September 2005 - 18th September 2005 If you put your ear to the ground, you may just be able to hear the rumble of Pluto! This planet of revelations is poised to make another of his memorable appearances on the stage of your life, especially if you have a mid-December birthday. This time, the focus is on your job or a life ambition, and although you may well be the architect of your own fate it may seem as though events beyond your control are currently shaping your course. There are no half-way gestures to be made now - situations are black and white, you're either in or you're out. In approximately three months time you'll see the results of the actions taken now - and you should be very impressed.
Point of no return?
19th September 2005 - 25th September 2005 You can breathe a sigh of relief: you have come through one of the most challenging periods of 2005 and are now onto bigger and better things. At least that's the theory... Since early to mid September's alignments have cast a long shadow you may not feel like bringing out the bubbly just yet. If there are indeed some lingering problems to resolve friends in high places could now prove extremely helpful, and even colleagues and compatriots in low places may turn out to be invaluable! But while sharing information and pooling resources is the way to go at this point, you should avoid being too open and frank - secrets are best kept where they belong, under wraps.
Sharing and caring.
26th September 2005 - 2nd October 2005 No one could blame you for feeling a little bruised and battered - September has been a largely challenging month. Now, however, signs of peace and harmony are returning so while you may still need to exercise patience and diplomacy with one or more situations, you can afford to be more relaxed. This week, the best things come in the form of social events and activities with friends and colleagues, and for some celestial Archers a romance could take off. Nevertheless, in regard to love and relationships there may also be a need for secrecy or at least to avoid telling the world and his wife how you feel - just for now,
A breathing space.
3rd October 2005 - 9th October 2005 Solar eclipses are not always a cause for celebration, however this Monday's could prove the exception. This is an especially fertile time for new business endeavours or giving life to plans that involve friends or working associates. You rarely need encouragement to execute a leap of faith but given September's harsh configurations you may need my assurances that life can once again be good. To add to your joys, Venus enters your sign on the 8th, thereby setting in motion a four-week period in which you will be luckier and there will be many more events to please you. As for your love life, in the words of Fred Flintstone: yabber, dabber do!
Brighter prospects.
10th October 2005 - 16th October 2005 Venus has good deeds to perform during her transit of your sign - she intends to bring harmony and peace to bear, good luck to be yours and to help you find love and acceptance. However, Uranus is currently blocking her way, so if you in turn come across someone who is distinctly unimpressed with your assets, blame it on this contrary planet. Rather more pertinently, should a relationship or an endeavour go up in smoke this week, there may be nothing you can do to resolve the problem for the time being. The situation requires space and time, and during the period of waiting that lies ahead, you may discover that you can live without it!
A small hurdle.
17th October 2005 - 23rd October 2005 Full moons help you reach conclusions, whether in the sense of endings or understandings, but when they are eclipsed, as is the case on Monday, any conclusions tend to be profound. In some respects this is the end of a gestation period - a matter that has been in preparation is ready for its debut - so especially in regard to a creative enterprise the omens are fortunate indeed. However, if an ending of a less welcome nature comes about now, do your best to see it as part of life, not all of it. Jupiter is waiting in the wings with a gift of some description or you may find that a friend or associate is the source of excellent news.
The end of a gestation period.
24th October 2005 - 30th October 2005 On the 26th, your ruling planet, Jupiter, slips into the occluded twelfth house where it will remain until next November. During the months ahead you should consider that you are preparing the ground for the successes and rewards of 2007. I know celestial Archers are not renowned for their patience but if you practice restraint and serenity you will get results. You could even have your first practice run this week since Venus and Pluto are in conjunction which is likely to bring out your fiercest feelings and desires. Perhaps you are ready to do all for love, or maybe you know you've had enough of a certain situation, but before you fire off all your weapons, consider the benefits of time and restraint...
Patience is a virtue.
31st October 2005 - 6th November 2005 Try not to step blithely into a large pothole this week by assuming that statements made in the heat of the moment will be forgotten just as quickly. Actions will have consequences... Legal matters and situations involving loved ones or companies abroad require particular care, although this is also a period in which contracts come through and an endeavour may receive the go-ahead. Your friend, Uranus, is back on the block and while this planet inspires flashes of brilliance it also creates a climate in which rash decisions are made and missteps easily happen. Keep on the side of the angels and count to ten.
Holding back.
7th November 2005 - 13th November 2005 You are one of the most honest, open and straightforward signs of the zodiac, consequently you experience great frustration when situations are steeped in mystery and people appear to be withholding information from you. Which may well be the case at present. To add to the complexity, you yourself could be feeling less robust than usual. From the start to the week, therefore, set yourself on automatic pilot, refusing to be led up one blind alley after another and focus on what you can do and who is supportive and solid. Avoid at all costs signing your name to a commitment that neither has your whole-hearted approval nor is too open-ended to be safe for you.
Tread carefully.
14th November 2005 - 20th November 2005 The one big plus to Mercury's retrograde move is that at least we're getting it over and done with before Christmas. Now even though business transactions in particular and communications in general may put your patience to the test there will be time to set wrongs to rights in December. Indeed, this may well be the purpose behind current developments: a matter that had been proceeding perfectly well may in truth have been heading towards disaster and you could have been piling your plate with more than you could safely manage. Thus, put on your smiley face and prepare for a week of frustrating U-turns and mysterious obstructions.
Putting on the brakes.
21st November 2005 - 27th November 2005 At last, the sun emerges from the seclusion of the twelfth house and into your sign, thus brightening your horizons and replenishing your stores of energy and optimism. And given the rest of the astrology well might you need all that vim and vigour. Yes, Uranus has also returned to the ranks shaking your faith in certain people and throwing one or more of your ideas into disarray. Should a member of the family go against your wishes or someone else make a decision that affects your progress do not fuss and turn your attention to other things. Very little is set in stone at the moment and things could change yet again before December is out.
Be philosophical.
28th November 2005 - 4th December 2005 It's a case of all-change this week, whether you get the go-ahead for a project or whether a recent pattern of go-slows and stoppages is reversed. Indeed, the period between now and the 17th December could prove to be one of the most eventful and decisive of the whole year. With this in mind, now is the time to contact people who are instrumental to your happiness and success, and even if you do not achieve the exact objective you will at least be free to channel your energies in new directions. Also, should a hitch develop on the home front, avoid a quick-fix solution and seek advice from someone in a position of wisdom.
Getting the green light.
5th December 2005 - 11th December 2005 Sagittarians rarely do things in moderation, and when Mars and Jupiter are in the ascendant your talent for excess is supercharged! Now, you could use this week's grand alignment to take a large step up the ladder of success, perhaps by securing a new and better job, or you may decide that something - anything! - should be done about the snail's pace at which a project is progressing. Both of which could lead to a sense of great accomplishment. On the other hand, you could make one of your shoot-from-the-hip statements, even opt for a dramatic exit from a relationship, or you could have an ill-advised spend-fest in the High Street. It's your choice, Sagittarius: make it wisely.
Take a deep breath.
12th December 2005 - 18th December 2005 You have reached one of the most decisive and eventful periods of 2005, Thursday's full moon precedes a conjunction between the sun in your sign and Pluto, inspiring a total transformation of one situation in your life. Furthermore, if it is your birthday between the 13th and 16th the year ahead will contain more than one event that sets you on a whole new life-track. If you are already planning to take a major step this week, this astro-scape will reflect and support your decision; likewise should events necessitate an almighty action, have the confidence to be bold and uncompromising. Also worth bearing in mind is that situations represent icebergs now - you can only see the tip of them.
A volcano of possibilities.
19th December 2005 - 25th December 2005 You may believe nothing can surprise you any more, especially after last week's rocky road, but Uranus could change your ideas, if not a lot more besides. It may be that events over the next few days will turn a recent difficulty into a triumph or you will come to see that there are definite benefits to an ongoing dilemma. What this astro-scape is not so suited to, however, is calm and considered actions, so should force of circumstances interfere with your perfect plans try not to exaggerate the inconvenience and do your best to remain tolerant and forgiving in light of someone's less than considerate behaviour. By Christmas Day all will be well, in fact it could be perfect.
Ruffled feathers.
26th December 2005 - 1st January 2006 December is going out as it came in with a bang not a whimper! Any pent up feelings will erupt with the force of Vesuvius, so do your best to exert as much caution in the post-Christmas sales as with people who may have exceeded your patience and good will. On the one hand, this week's dynamic alignments will give you the power and focus to fulfil a giant task and on the other you may decide that the time has come to do something radical about a deeply unsatisfactory status quo. Whatever you decide should come or go this week, New Year's Eve finds you in the mood to kick over the disappointments and failures of the past and start truly afresh.
Out with the old: in with the new!
2nd January 2006 - 8th January 2006 Facing the reality of the Christmas spending spree is often the way the celestial Archer begins the New Year, but this time you have some solid backing from the planets. The sun's position in the key zone of money and self-worth is linked to both expansive Jupiter and innovative Uranus, thus there could be an offer on the table that both promises to relieve your exhausted finances and up your value, one way or another. Indeed, it may be that an individual or an organization that was initially disinterested in a project will now be prepared to discuss its feasibility. This may not be the most electric opening to a year but it has real promise.
Opening negotiations.
9th January 2006 - 15th January 2006 Your ruler, Jupiter, is on top form this week, inspiring extravagant gestures whether in terms of words, deeds and money. As far as the latter is concerned, the added factor of a full moon on the financial axis of your solar chart, suggests caution before splashing out on the irresistible or a short-term quick-fix. Ideally, you should be signing long-term financial agreements at this time and bringing an end to any unsatisfactory drains on your resources. And while this trend may apply first and foremost to money there could be other areas of life that might benefit from a rather over-generous attitude on your part. Economy can be a beautiful thing.
Making a saving.
16th January 2006 - 22nd January 2006 As long as you know the difference between a realizable dream and pure moonshine you'll be fine: this is not the week to put your trust in ventures and associations that cannot back up their claims. You will also need to pay close attention to information received because thanks to Mars and Neptune it will be easy to lose your way. There is, of course, and upside to these curious stars - disappointing news may turn out to be without foundation and fears of any description could prove to be groundless. Nonetheless, fearless Sagittarian adventurers ought to be careful where they tread now - what seems solid as a rock could be very crumbly indeed.
Look before you leap.
23rd January 2006 - 29th January 2006 Saturn may not be the jolliest planet in the pack but it does produce a dose of reality and it will help you build solid structures. With this in mind if you have been avoiding dealing with a difficulty or wondering whether a plan is workable, now is the time to take the bull by the horns. Travel and discussions are in the main frame this week, so it may be that you are about to embark on a long journey or put your name to an important document, but whatever you sign up for be sure you are ready to make such a commitment and can stay the course. One thing you cannot do in this climate is cut corners or break the rules.
Actions have consequences.
30th January 2006 - 5th February 2006 There are some rather large potholes in your path this week, and they come in the form of Neptune smoke-screens. Information cannot be trusted and your judgment could prove faulty, especially if you fail to give due care and attention to instructions or messages from organizations and individuals. It is also deeply unadvisable to head out on a journey or to a meeting without having made yourself fully aware of the terrain you will be negotiating. By contrast, you could experience a heart-warming exchange with some who will prove instrumental to your happiness and success in the future, Be hopeful but not naïve.
Time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted.
6th February 2006 - 12th February 2006 Avoid doing anything on a wing and a prayer this week. Carefully study information and if you're travelling make sure you have a good map and a means of communication. Yes, I'm afraid Neptune is with you on your journeys this week, which means you'll be fine on Cloud Nine but in danger of losing your way anywhere else. Of course, you may find this astro-combination gives you great good luck and a huge amount of insight about the way a situation is heading but it won't harm to do your homework first. A matter related to home or the family is beginning to come nicely to the boil, and it may well surprise you, thus if there is an action you have been delaying, might I suggest you attend to it immediately.
Take no chances
13th February 2006 - 19th February 2006 You face another of those weeks when the extraordinary is commonplace. Mercury and Uranus have hi-jacked Valentine's Day, so throw out your plans and wait and see what fate and someone special has in mind. There is also a chance that an item of machinery or piece of technology will fail to perform as you expect so keep your focus and your cool when handling anything (or indeed anyone) of a delicate nature. On the 17th, feisty Mars heads into the seventh house of relationships, ready to spice up your love life or produce an opponent - maybe both - thus, your modus-operandi for the next few days ought to be softly, softly.
A surprise parcel.
20th February 2006 - 26th February 2006 In contrast to much of February this week's horoscope is hope personified. Monday finds Mercury and Jupiter in total harmony, easing the wheels of communication and helping you to make progress on all fronts. While some of your best ideas and most heart-warming moments may stem from domestic developments almost any situation will benefit from a dose of charm and positive energy. And in view of next week's less than easy alignments what may be even more to your advantage is making a pre-emptive move regarding an already tense or challenging situation. As they say: a stitch in time...
A sweet interlude.
27th March 2006 - 5th February 2006 Joy of joys! Pluto and Uranus are in our midst, which means anything percolating gently is poised to bubble over, in some cases giving reason for celebration and in others producing cause for concern. And even if this week passes without so much as a ripple on life's smooth surface, these planets dominate March's landscape so there is time for a brilliant development to take place or for you to discover that not all things are built to last, especially relationships. The astrology is tailor-made for house moves, renovations and unexpected family developments, although in the process tempers could become frayed.
Stay centred.
6th March 2006 - 12th March 2006 The winds of change are certainly blowing. And it seems to be other people who are acting as the agents of that change, rather than you. You can almost hear the crackle of electricity sparked by Saturday's Mars-Uranus square, whether this manifests as a compelling attraction between you and someone new or a sudden upset between you and a long-time partner. While it is difficult to resist the power of love - or is that lust? - there is a certain merit in delaying gratification until you are sure you can handle the effects of such a relationship. Early December birthdays are in the centre of the Uranian storm this week but whenever you were born, try to remain centred.
Exciting biting!
13th March 2006 - 19th March 2006 It's about time we had a little action from the planets, so if you're stuck in a dreary groove and waiting for something to happen, your wish will be granted. The lunar eclipse of the 15th highlights the areas of career and home, encouraging you to make radical moves and helping you implement the new, wherever it is necessary. You may be able to finish off a process that was begun roughly six months ago, or you will come to see that some of the ideas of the past six months left considerable room for improvement. The mid-December birthdays are centre stage now, whether this means your prayers have been answered or you must go back to the drawing board.
Another crossroads.
20th March 2006 - 26th March 2006 With the sun's entry into the creative and pleasure-driven fifth house, optimism and vitality return, enabling you to make a come-back from recent disappointments and to gear up for happy events to come. Mercury, the planet of movement and dialogue, gets back on track on Saturday, and even if this brings a less than welcome result for one of your past fishing expeditions, you will be able to take something valuable away from the experience, which can be used to your advantage next time. Venus, Jupiter and Neptune are in charge of the weekend's events, raising spirits and encouraging you to see that love really does make the world go round.
On the road to recovery.
27th March 2006 - 2nd April 2006 All fire signs enjoy innovation and change, but only as long as they're in charge of it. And this may not be the case this week. Total solar eclipses have a way of forcing you to make changes, whether these amount to the rescheduling of a planned event or finding an alternative avenue for your energies and interests. At best these alignments will bring something fabulous into being - they may even portend a birth or pregnancy - but they could also signal the demise of a love affair or the end of an endeavour that has been causing problems for some time. Your long-term prospects are bright, whatever the ups and downs of March.
Think outside the box.
3rd April 2006 - 9th April 2006 These last few weeks have been impressive in astrological terms and, in tandem, your life may have experienced a minor earthquake - welcome or not. To a certain extent this trend for change and transformation continues, this week effected by a Mars-Pluto opposition straddling your axis of relationships. In this climate new relationships are atomic powered, affecting not just you and your new love's life but those of other people; likewise, a long-term union may suddenly cave in under the pressure of a build up of problems or an overnight sensation. Do your level best to keep your heart soaring but your feet on the ground.
Sweet reason.
10th April 2006 - 16th April 2006 It's not like you to want to retrace your footsteps, but the rewards of doing so now could prove great. You may want to reconsider a decision that you made in the past month or change the direction in which a situation was headed: not only might you have been under pressure when those actions were taken but more information has surfaced that changes the complexion of the situation. You are in full creative bloom at the moment, bursting of ideas and in top emotional gear, thus these same influences could inspire a new project or prompt you to open up more fully to a new love. Be true to your feelings and don't be afraid to admit when you have been wrong.
A re-think.
17th April 2006 - 23rd April 2006 Uranus has been keeping a low profile for a few weeks but he's back in force now. Once again it is the family arena that bears the brunt of any unscheduled activities, whether a relative makes a shock announcement or someone new enters the family circle. And should you be moving house or making major alterations, you should be well pleased with the results, at least once you've got over the upheaval. On a more serious note, if you've been dealing with some difficulties on the home front, it may be time to consider cutting your losses. Uranus is always about the ending of old orders and the beginning of new ones.
The fur is flying!
24th April 2006 - 30th April 2006 It has been some seven months since Venus tangoed with Pluto, so if late October produced a moment of romantic madness, you could be about to have a re-run. By contrast should a relationship have ended in an acrimonious war of words, you may now be able to go back over old ground and repair the damage. Certainly the potential to resurrect old partnerships and friendships is great at the moment, and you should not be surprised if you are flooded with waves of nostalgia. Nonetheless, before you get carried away on a fantasy dream boat, there is also a heavy dose of Saturn to contend with, which means actions have consequences...
A blast from the past.
1st May 2006 - 7th May 2006 May Day and the arrival of a new dawn. All right, supernovas in the world of astrology never last long, but when they do they make a huge difference. Whether or not a large problem will be lifted from your shoulders this week your should step should be lighter and you will have a different attitude to a situation that has been blighting your life for a while - and this could be enough on its own to bring about that new dawn. A trio of perfectly aligned planets opens up fresh possibilities, and this may be particularly applicable to a financial or domestic/property matter. Be courageous in your actions and let these dazzling influences be the wind beneath your wings.
Taking off.
8th May 2006 - 14th May 2006 Sometimes you cannot move directly towards the object of your desires - you have to employ a strategy, even make a devious move. And this notion is well worth remembering this week, both in terms of your actions and those of others. Life is particularly delicate at work now, and you may have to question more than one instruction or item of information. Also, feelings of anxiety or elation are likely to be temporary and therefore not worth staking your pension on. Keep a low profile and take the trouble to go through the paperwork. What you may find could alter the whole complexion of a situation.
The devil is in the details.
15th May 2006 - 21st May 2006 On the 19th, Mercury's arrival in the seventh house heralds a significant eight-week period for relationships. With this in mind, there could be some ground to prepare and some stray threads to snip. Indeed, your first task could be to go through a pile of paperwork in order to ensure that you have dealt with a problem and not left any debts unpaid - and we're not just talking money here. There is also a possibility that a rumour currently doing the rounds is undermining your position in some way, thus another of your jobs might be to get in touch with people who are central to your security and well-being.
A stitch in time...
22nd May 2006 - 28th May 2006 Like all fire signs you think best when you're in tight corners and on the hoof, however, sometimes you yourself bring about such conditions with your own impulsive actions - something to think on during this week of Uranian fireworks. At best you will be fired with new and diverse ideas, which could make a positive difference to a job project or a personal matter, but at worst tensions already rife within an intimate or working relationship could spill over into outright war. Other people will vote with their feet now and should you and they not be on the same page, they will have no compunction about breaking the contact.
Trouble in a bottle.
29th May 2006 - 4th June 2006 Don't underestimate the competition. Mercury stands opposed to Pluto turning easy-going partners and colleagues into stubborn, opinionated mules and organizations into the Inquisition. At the first sign of argument, hold your comments and offer to sit down calmly and discuss the issue; be prepared to change your position or at least ask for time to consider the alternatives. Helping your cause is warrior, Mars, who arrives in the lofty, philosophical area of your horoscope on Saturday: from this point on your horizons expand and your ego loses its bruises.
Distance and perspective.
5th June 2006 - 11th June 2006 You may think you know certain people but you don't, and they have ways of taking your breath away. Monday looks to be the day with the most controversy and the least consistency so do your best to be flexible and good-humoured in the face of an overnight change or surprise move. Deals and contracts may prove difficult to seal and it is possible that an endeavour or an alliance that once had considerable potential is now hanging in the balance. By way of soothing any injured pride Venus and Jupiter combine to show you that all is not lost and that you should stop exaggerating the importance of one situation when, in truth, you have many blessings.
Put it in perspective.
12th June 2006 - 18th June 2006 We may not like being reminded that we are not infallible, that even the charming and accomplished Archer can occasionally come up against a wall of opposition, but this week's alignments represent just such a wall. There is a history to current events, and it may be that while you believed a situation had been done and dusted, other people do not. In which case, you will need to be patient and prepared to renegotiate. This is not the time to throw your weight around or to ignore threats or pleas for help: on the other hand, it is the time to make a huge commitment to a project, a person or an organization.
Biting the bullet
19th June 2006 - 25th June 2006 Guided by intuition and your desires, you achieve more than most people dream of but occasionally you would do even better by holding your horses and adopting a conservative policy. Jupiter and Saturn are equally balanced so there are opportunities to add to your stability and security and to bring blue-prints into reality - what you need to do is take the time to go through the paperwork and see whether or not you can live with a worst-case-scenario. Any offers or requests that reach you now should be taken seriously since they will set in motion a chain of events that will alter your long-term horizons.
Getting down to business.
26th June 2006 - 2nd July 2006 Show me a Sagittarian who doesn't like travel and I'll reveal someone who has allowed her sense of adventure to be crushed. Does this sound like you? If so, take heart because these expansive influences could get you back on your feet and looking to cross new frontiers, whether in terrestrial terms or in the sense of broadening your experience. Add to this Venus's arrival in the area of relating, and it may be that someone new has inspired your come-back or you have suddenly realized that your happiness lies way beyond your own back yard. And whatever your current life circumstances, this is a week in which to explore new territory.
Expanding horizons.
3rd July 2006 - 9th July 2006 The cosmic joker has been at work again placing more than one obstacle on the information highway. Thus, before you set out on a journey or head into the meeting room, make sure you have all the material you need, and a full pack of patience pills. Long-distance communications are at the biggest risk of errors and delays, so if you haven't heard from someone or you are sending a message, please double-check all is well. Venus has been working on your love life in particular and relationship matters in general for the past week but now she angles controversial Uranus so while a romance may receive an unexpected shot in the arm, it will be just as easy to upset a long-standing alliance.
Treading carefully.
10th July 2006 - 16th July 2006 If you want to intensify a romance or bring back the passion to a relationship you could ask for nothing more than these stars. Venus and Pluto combine to add depth and volume to a partnership, encouraging some Sagittarians to do all for love, regardless of the upheaval this might cause elsewhere. These passionate influences could also put a relationship on a precipice, so that already shaky unions take another step ever nearer the divorce courts. Thus, especially if you have a mid-December birthday and you are feeling somewhat disenchanted with a partner or a long-term commitment, think very carefully before you allow your heart to overrule your head.
Burning your bridges?
17th July 2006 - 23rd July 2006 With bountiful Venus entering the zone of finances and dynamic Mars soaring into the area of ambitions, you are at the beginning of a six-week period when you can make some serious material gains. Sagittarius has many strengths but with focus and self-discipline not among them you might benefit from some help from your astrologer to fulfil the promise of these stars. First, you may need to address an old issue, whether this involves going through some tedious bureaucratic hoops, following up a missing payment or re-starting discussions with an individual or organization. What you don't want to do is allow pleasure to come before business.
Focus, focus.
24th July 2006 - 30th July 2006 You are sitting pretty at the moment and even if it seems you are getting nowhere fast the stars tell a different story. Despite appearances to the contrary, someone is ready to agree terms and especially where a property or financial matter is concerned a solution to a problem can be found - all you need to do is muster a little more patience and allow creative thought to replace fear and anxiety. Tuesday's new moon points to a journey in the near future or a meeting that will change your course in the most positive way. And with communication chief, Mercury, turning direct over the weekend, travel is not just a matter of getting from A to B but pleasure personified.
Sally forth!
31st July 2006 - 6th August 2006 Whatever the real weather is doing and whatever the season, you are under sunny skies. Long range plans receive a Jupiterian boost, and journeys prove enlightening and enjoyable. And while you may indeed be travelling to distant places, journeys of the mind, spirit and the heart enrich life and increase your levels of optimism. Sometimes, of course, you can have too much of a good thing with Jupiter, so it might be prudent to check that your bank account can withstand the current heat and that you have not forgotten to attend to a business matter or to protect your valuables. At some point in August a reckoning will have to take place, so don't throw caution entirely to the winds.
Peace of mind.
7th August 2006 - 13th August 2006 Your patience could be pushed to the limits this week but whatever the provocation acquire distance and perspective before delivering an ultimatum or a barbed comment. Travel could prove particularly trying under these stars, especially on Wednesday, and although you will surely reach your destination there could be more than one reason why the journey will be one for the memory books. Over the weekend, unpredictable Uranus takes over from disciplinarian, Saturn, helping you take a break from routine but also upping the potential for minor affrays and sudden changes of plan. In other words, get ready for one of those roller-coaster rides.
Rocking and rolling.
14th August 2006 - 20th August 2006 You can go a long way under these life-expanding stars so if last week you were unexpectedly upended by events beyond your control now would be the time to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in the saddle. Your focus may be on long-distance matters, whether already you are in transit to distant parts or because you are planning to travel in the near future, and since it's harmony all the way this week, you can expect happy landings and success generally with your endeavours. If I have a spanner to throw in the works it would be that this astrological state of play is likely to be short-lived so don't put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today.
Make hay while the sun shines.
21st August 2006 - 27th August 2006 You have so much to gain at the moment, but you will miss the boat if you rush your fences or allow frustration to dictate your course. Saturn and Neptune's dominion over the axis of communication means that dreams can be made real yet those things that are insubstantial will collapse. Therefore, you need to be on the alert for subtle signals of distress or small signs of success. On the 23rd, the sun arrives in the most ambitious sector of your solar chart, thus beginning a six-week period of major developments, first and foremost linked to your career and your place in the world. Now is the time to prepare inwardly and outwardly for change.
Take a long look.
28th August 2006 - 3rd September 2006 This is not the week to rattle your sabre indiscriminately nor the time to assume others are making empty threats. Mars-Pluto combinations bring festering issues to the surface and expose hidden feelings and secrets of all kinds. And since you are one of the most upfront and well-meaning signs, you need to watch what you say and to whom you say it. Fortunately, Jupiter and Uranus are also in the mix, indicating that new ways forward come in the wake of any upsets, and some Sagittarians - probably the early December birthdays - could be celebrating some great good news. Nonetheless, go carefully about your business and assume there is more to situations than meets the eye.
Still waters run deep.
4th September 2006 - 10th September 2006 With a new season set to come in shortly, the planets have decided it's time for a spring-clean. Situations covered in dust and cobwebs need to be swept in order to see whether or not they're worth salvaging: it also seems that your patience is running out with certain people so you are more than ready to bring matters to a head. Now, crunch-points may appear this week, enabling you to move on in directions more suited to your needs, abilities and feelings; on the other hand, the writing may just appear on the wall giving you time to make your plans firmer and more workable. Either way, especially if you have a 4th or 16th December birthday, fasten your seat belts!
A slight case of turbulence.
11th September 2006 - 17th September 2006 It doesn't get more exhilarating than this, so if you've been ever so slightly bored with life or frustrated by the fact that a situation is not moving fast enough, prepare for lift-off. A combination of Uranus and Pluto will make the earth move in the most delightful of ways. Nonetheless, these planets require careful handling, and if an endeavour or association is already in a precarious state it won't take much to tip it over the edge. This is the right time to explore new outlets for your skills and to think outside the box when it comes to solutions to sticky problems; it is not the right moment to overreact to feelings of hurt pride or anger.
Be wise not wilful.
18th September 2006 - 24th September 2006 There is more than just a hint of a fresh start in your stars - there is every sign that you have turned a corner. Whatever the concerns of the past few weeks, wherever your energies have been focused, new targets for your arrows are appearing, and old situations are beginning to be seen in a new light. Especially where your career or a personal ambition is concerned, attaining the goal is only part of the equation; the major part is the difference it will make to your quality of life. From this point on, you may find that you are questioning many of your priorities and understanding that material success is not an end in itself, you need love, reciprocity and a true purpose.
Changing gear.
25th September 2006 - 1st October 2006 September goes out much as it came in - on a contentious note. Indeed, it may have seemed as if the past few weeks have been all about revising your plans and making difficult decisions. Fortunately, once this week is out, you will be in a new phase, and one in which you will find more pleasure and success in life, so it may simply be a case of sewing up the remaining loose ends now. Feelings will be running high, which gives you the ammunition with which to do what must be done, but also puts you in danger of burning a bridge or two. Neither lose your temper nor sight of your ultimate goals.
Rise above the fray.
2nd October 2006 - 8th October 2006 You should have few complaints about the week ahead, and those you do find may have more to do with the state of your own mind, than events themselves. Now, I don't mean to hurl brickbats in your direction, but to urge you to take a more relaxed view of a situation - to allow matters to evolve in their own way and in their own time. Especially where a friendship or collaboration is concerned, there is a danger that a minor problem will turn into a three-act drama, so put practicalities before pride, and forget the small stuff. Fortunately, Mars and Neptune are on good form, inspiring forgiveness and reconciliation.
Mountains and molehills.
9th October 2006 - 15th October 2006 Taking your time will prove highly worthwhile. There is more to a situation than meets the eye, and by waiting and watching, digging and delving, you'll discover the truth. On the one hand, what someone says to you is only part of the story and, on the other, the evidence people produce to support their decisions is very selective. And while this trend is particularly noticeable in the world of business and finance, a friendship or romance could also suffer from the same syndrome. Stand your ground, be patient and you'll be surprised at what is delivered in the silence. And, by the same token, watch the floodgates open should someone display tenderness and compassion to you.
Stop, look and listen.

16th October 2006 - 22nd October 2006 There are times when all your energies should be focused on work and working with a challenge, and times when you can throw off your cloak of responsibilities and have fun, and this week is all about doing those things that give you pleasure. Aside from the prospect of enjoyable social occasions, there is much to be gained from teaming up with people who share your beliefs and spirit of adventure. Indeed, an endeavour may come into being now that will add to your lot, whether in terms of money, reputation or pure and simple joy. There are also signs that unbeknownst to you moves are being made that will make you very happy later in the year.
Spreading joy.
23rd October 2006 - 29th October 2006 In roughly a month from now, Jupiter will enter your sign for a year's transit, during which your life will change for the better and you will feel that your personal and professional horizons are expanding. However, before the dawn breaks you need to rest and conserve your energies. Now, I realize that this may be impractical in a modern world but the mere understanding that one or more aspects of life may have to be placed on hold, and that you may feel less robust in mind, body and spirit will help you pace yourself during the next four weeks. This is not a time to force issues but to withdraw from the spotlight and watch and wait.
A time of retreat.
30th October 2006 - 5th November 2006 Do you feel as though your head is inside a paper bag, that you're missing some essential part of what is going on? No surprise if you do: a clutch of planets in the isolated twelfth house can turn your life into an episode of the Twilight Zone. However, there is a remedy. You need rest and time alone; you need to keep people who press your sensitive buttons at a distance and to remove yourself from situations that cause you stress. You can also use that valuable quiet time to do some research. Sifting through old paperwork and retracing your steps could lead to an important discovery, and, at the very least, you'll be in a position of knowledge when it comes to making a serious decision in the next few weeks.
Quiet time.
6th November 2006 - 12th November 2006 It$s all right to feel confused; it$s fine to admit you cannot yet make a decision. It$s not right to rush into action because you$re under pressure to do something - anything! And given the clutch of planets in the obscure twelfth house currently angled by delusory Neptune there is even more reason to hold back until you are sure of the facts and your feelings. This is not the time to make a move that could be considered risky, nor is it the moment to believe someone simply because you$re too preoccupied to check him or her out. And, by the same token, you should avoid at all costs telling a white lie or attempting to paper over the truth.
Pleading the fifth amendment.
13th November 2006 - 19th November 2006 Before you right off an endeavour or a relationship carefully sift through all the facts. What may appear to be in difficulties could require very little effort to resolve, and you may well have been looking at the situation from the wrong angle. Part of the problem is that with so many planets tucked away in the obscure twelfth house you are less sure of yourself and more vulnerable in every way. From next week on, this trend will gradually fade, so what may currently be causing you distress will prove relatively minor and certainly handleable. Also, Wednesday's exuberant link between Venus and Jupiter could put a smile back on your face sooner than you think.
All in the mind.
20th November 2006 - 26th November 2006 You can complain about anything as long as it's not your stars. On Friday, fabulous Jupiter arrives in your sign, and his brief is to promote abundance and success during the coming year. This planet will also encourage great journeys, whether of the mind, body or spirit and if you have been wondering when would be the right time to broaden your personal, professional or familial horizons, take that first step this week. Just how much jack-in-the-box Uranus will help or hinder this process of expansion rather depends: in some cases a new romance will make for overall life changes while in others a parting will free the way for better things to come.
A brilliant new beginning.
27th November 2006 - 3rd December 2006 In early September events may have led to a big change in your routine, if not to a major part of your life. Some Sagittarians may have had a degree of choice in the matter while others had no option but to embrace the situation. However, if you were among those who reached a crossroads and backed off the opportunity to take a leap of faith is presenting itself once again. Especially if it is your birthday between the 2nd and 6th December the next twelve months will produce many changes, but whenever you were born this early-to-mid December period is one of exciting challenges, some of which have been initiated by you and others which appear out of the blue.
A change of course.
4th December 2006 - 10th December 2006 There is an aura of revelation about this week's astrology: you may suddenly realize your true feelings about someone or something, or a situation may arise that changes your perspective on a matter, and consequently alterations will be made to a long-standing pattern of life. Jupiter has only just entered your sign but already you could be feeling the need for adventure and opportunity - wanting there to be more to life than there is at the moment. In many ways these current aspects help you see more clearly what is holding you back and where there is room for change. A relationship could be at the heart of this week's stirring events - are you in or out?
Deep waters.
11th December 2006 - 17th December 2006 Monday puts Mars and Jupiter in your corner and you on fighting form. If you've needed the motivation and the courage to perform a daunting task, or simply the energy to get behind a list of must-dos you have it in spades, and you have it in hearts too in the sense of getting a romance off the ground. The only cautionary note is supplied by Uranus, which on Friday could make your short fuse even shorter leading to an abrupt end of a beautiful friendship. Also, with the sun on its way to a summit conference with Pluto next week, be aware that a minor issue could turn into a major event should it not be sweetly nipped in the bud now.
Forward thinking.
18th December 2006 - 24th December 2006 There's only one word for this astro-scape: Wow! A sun-moon-Pluto conjunction is the most powerful portent of change, and for the better. In the main this applies to Sagittarians with birthdays this week and those who were born on or near the 3rd of December but to a greater or lesser extent every celestial Archer will experience something that touches him or her deeply at this time. With a new year a matter of days away, this is the moment you make your affirmations for 2007, in some cases because events show you quite clearly what or who really matter. This is not a time for superficial gestures, things are deep, meaningful and transformational.
Big stuff.
25th December 2006 - 31st December 2006 Trying to have a good time is trying, so cut down your expectations and don't take on the role of life and soul of the party or assume other people know it's their job to jolly you along and boost your ego every which way they can. Christmas Day is presided over by Mercury and Pluto, and these two are rarely light-hearted. Now, this doesn't mean the festivities are doomed to disappoint but it does infer that people could be feeling fragile and prone to taking offence rather too easily. You may also find that skeletons emerge from cupboards in the form of a confession or a discovery. If so, remember we're all human and even if forgiveness is divine we can aspire to greatness!
Christmas unwrapped.
1st January 2007 - 7th January 2007 Sagittarians rarely do anything in moderation, so there's a reasonable chance that you have burst the budget over the past few weeks but, thanks to Wednesday's full moon on the financial axis of your horoscope, you will be able to set about righting the balance. Checking the state of your bank account is one small step in the direction of solvency and sanity; on the other hand, awakening to a reality might have more to do with a close relationship. New Years have a way of inspiring us to start afresh and if there has been any kind of imbalance in an intimate or working relationship it's time to set matters to rights.
Gaining equilibrium.
15th January 2007 - 21st January 2007 Money and love take top billing this week. Action-man Mars begins to perk up the financial zone and with a new moon to boot a new mini-era opens up for money matters. The climate is ideal for starting new financial strategies, discussing salary structures and getting behind monetary bogeys; it is also perfect for pouring soothing oils on any troubled romance. A written note or an email bearing sweet sentiments could dissolve hostilities and it may transform a platonic friendship into something much more romantic. Indeed, going the distance is the theme of the times, whether you travel in mind, body or motor car!
Moving and motoring.
8th January 2007 - 14th January 2007 Cast your mind back to mid-December: if that period was notable for its high drama you will have a reservoir of experience from which to draw. Now before you press the panic button, what may be happening is that an ongoing situation which has had many twists and turns is reaching its denouement, so you could be about to shake hands on a deal or put the finishing touches to endeavour. By contrast if you have been struggling to make something work and fighting against a strong current now is the moment to accept the situation for what it is and let go. This is not the week to take on anyone or anything bigger and better than you.
Keep your feet on the ground.
22nd January 2007 - 28th January 2007 Try not to get carried away by events early in the week because there's more to a story than meets the eye. Jupiter and Uranus produce a rabbit out of the hat, and whether you're delighted or deflated matters will take some time to unravel completely. Putting signatures to documents and finalizing an agreement are also in your stars but don't be surprised if you feel less than joyous about it all. Saturn, in keeping with his role as grand inquisitor, will add a serious note to the proceedings and if there are any mistakes or potential loopholes he'll seek them out thereby causing delays and frustrations. It's part of life, not all of it.
The devil's in the details.
29th January 2007 - 4th February 2007 Getting from A to B could have its little problems, so put yourself in neutral gear and be prepared for delays and mis-communications. The latter part of the working week is the most likely to cause frustration, and if you have journeys or meetings planned then, assume you're going to be the one in the negotiating seat and the person diluting any tensions. The full moon of the 2nd could coincide with the confirmation of a project: matters can be finally settled at this time or such a scenario will come about in the near future. And despite the trend for communication blips, invitations and proposals that come your way now could prove very promising.
Patience and persistence.
5th February 2007 - 11th February 2007 Variety may be the spice of life to the celestial Archer but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. Uranus, the unpredictable, Saturn, the sour, and Neptune, the peculiar, are all on the astrological menu this week, so if you do nothing else, please go carefully and on no account jump in where angels fear to tread. While you may not be able to control what happens around and about you you can keep yourself in check. If a piece of machinery fails to work or someone upsets your plans and your timetable, there will be a solution and it will arrive all the quicker if you avoid a diva drama. And if a situation clearly has no further to go, be your usual philosophical self.
A stormy passage.
12th February 2007 - 18th February 2007 If there's one sign that loves heading off in new directions, it's you, and with a new moon in the zone of travel and communications it seems another journey is poised to start. You may have a ticket that states quite plainly when you are leaving for foreign shores; on the other hand, you may simply sense that one of life's big adventures is just around the corner. But in whatever way an opportunity arises to take you into new territory it should be grabbed with both hands. Mercury's retrograde turn on Wednesday may not exactly speed your course so meet your detours and derailments with your usual philosophical bent.
Take the slow boat - to anywhere.
19th February 2007 - 25th February 2007 With Pluto centre stage you have another opportunity to reinvent, recycle or reconcile. And with Venus as the catalyst a love affair or something close to your heart may well be in the frame. Some of the most passionate unions are brought into being under these two planets, yet if a relationship is hanging on by a thread, it won't take much to break it. And although neither of these scenarios may apply to you, especially if you have a birthday between the 16th and 20th December, you will need to handle people and situations with kid gloves. Then again, if you're about to take on a big new challenge you have the most powerful allies at your disposal.
Take a deep breath.
26th February 2007 - 4th March 2007 Take a look at Saturday's full moon, whether it is a pale presence during the day or a luminous white orb in the night sky, because it is a symbol of important things to come. This is no ordinary full moon: it is a total lunar eclipse and as such embodies the theme of closure and completion especially for those whose birthdays fall on or near 6th December. This is an appropriate time to end a way of life that has been in place for years: in some cases this eclipse signals a major change of career course, in other cases a development on home territory will change the pattern of domestic life. What you need to do, however, is focus not on what is passing but what is to come.
An important crossroads.
5th February 2007 - 11th February 2007 This could turn out to be a week of revelations, if only because you suddenly realize what you want (or don't want). The fundamentals of life are in the frame, whether a sudden development takes place on the home and family front or a plan that was in its earky stages has to be altered or postponed. What you do not want to do under these unpredictable influences, however, is allow your anger or your pride to propel you into an action that is revengeful or guaranteed to end a relationship. Think through your options carefully then decide whether you should maintain the status-quo ad infinitum or completely re-think your position.
No false moves.
5th March 2007 - 11th March 2007 This could turn out to be a week of revelations, if only because you suddenly realize what you want (or don't want). Think through your options carefully then decide whether you should maintain the status-quo ad infinitum or completely re-think your position.
No false moves.
12th March 2007 - 18th March 2007 All is harmony in the Archer camp. Peaceful Venus angles Pluto in your sign bringing out your very best and enabling you to relate to people and issues at a profound level. Add to this a perfect alignment between prosperous Jupiter and constructive Saturn and you have the ideal climate in which to achieve a much desired objective. Of course, you could just enjoy a week of ease and good fun too. On the other hand, with a solar eclipse in a few days time you might want to nip a potential difficulty in the bud. Whatever comes about in this mid-March period has the capacity to change a small or large part of life, ultimately for the better.
An embarrassment of riches.
19th March 2007 - 25th March 2007 You may not be able to see Monday's solar eclipse but it is a sign of the new and the different, first and foremost on the home front, and especially if you have a birthday on or near 20 December. But whenever you were born this is an appropriate moment to clean house. Now, while you may be inspired to throw out the contents of your cupboards and shampoo the carpets, rather more seriously should you have been putting up with an unacceptable state of affairs or waiting to bring about some radical changes the stars are giving you the green light for go. Just be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Clearing the decks.
26th March 2007 - 1st April 2007 March goes out as it came in - on a wave of change and controversy. This is the ideal climate in which to clean house, especially in the sense of eliminating those things that belong to a distant past and thus have no part in your bright new future. And, yes, the future is bright, even if you are currently wondering how to put the pieces back together of a broken dream. The home and/or the family look to be the primary source of the unusual and the surprising, whether you will be welcoming a new member into the fold or saying goodbye to old faces and places. Never forget you are the adventurer of the zodiac and when familiar roads run out, there's a new one just around the corner.
A detour not a derailment.
2nd April 2007 - 8th April 2007 On the 6th Jupiter in your sign turns retrograde thus taking you back over ground you have covered since late November. You will be able to review unwise decisions and it will be possible to resurrect endeavours that have fallen by the wayside - as long as they are right for you. Nevertheless, should something grind to a halt at this time or your feelings about someone change, do not assume this is a permanent state of affairs. There is a degree of confusion in our stars and you will save yourself a lot of emotional angst by adopting a wait-and-see policy. The Easter weekend is perfect for a celebration of love and family togetherness.
Getting in balance.
9th April 2007 - 15th April 2007 These stars bring out your best and worst. On the one hand, you may be inspired to be your most generous and big-hearted and, on the other, you could make an unnecessary drama over a minor detail. The 9th and 15th are the days to avoid overreacting and turning a supporter into an enemy, although the way to ensure the week as a whole is a success is to keep an eye open for red lights. Especially where a domestic or property matter is concerned, there is nothing that cannot be fixed with a little patience and understanding. On the 12th, Venus arrives in the zone of relationships ready and prepared with olive branches, wedding bells, and all things necessary for love to prosper.
Finding the love.
16th April 2007 - 22nd April 2007 About four months ago Pluto's conjunction to the sun in your sign forced you to confront the good, the bad and the indifferent in your life, especially if you had a birthday on or near the 17th December. Now you get to see the wisdom of your actions and, more specifically, the benefits of them. Indeed, it may have taken this long to discover that there were any benefits at all! Even if you can think of nothing that amounted to an epiphany last Christmas or there were no events of a memorable kind then, the past comes into the present this week, and in the best of ways. Likewise, big steps being taken now are helping you fulfil your destiny.
Impressive stars.
23rd April 2007 - 29th April 2007 April goes out as it came in on a Uranian note. Uranus will shake up any tired old attitudes and behaviours so especially if you have a 6th - 9th December birthday you're about to throw something into the dustbin of history. Also, an idea that may have been mooted some weeks ago could be back on the drawing board and an issue that you thought was done and dusted may be resurrected. But before you reach for your anxiety medicine, fortunate Jupiter is in the picture too making this a wonderful week for falling in love, swearing long-term allegiance to a partner or organization and generally counting your blessings.
Happy accidents.
30th April 2007 - 6th May 2007 You're not going to get very far along the road of life with the accelerator pressed down and the hand brake on - a metaphor for this week's stars. While Jupiter is urging you onward and upward Saturn is advising caution. And, not for the first time does Saturn have the upper hand - all in your best interests, of course. My advice is to stay in a holding pattern for the next few days; that way you will have some wiggle room in the event of an unexpected hair-pin bend. Yes, a situation may be as good as it gets and a relationship could be all you ever wanted and more but you can still take your time.
Cautious optimism.
7th May 2007 - 13th May 2007 No one likes being forced to do something that he or she does not like but this may be your only option at this time. Mars in the zone of relating is calling the shots and it is your role to acquiesce, or at least pay attention. While you do not have to submit as a lamb to the slaughter, a dignified apology or a good-natured withdrawal, albeit a tactical one, is not such a bad idea. Fighting fire with fire can only result in third degree burns! You may have to go back in time to last December or this March to find the seeds of a current situation, but by handling matters with grace and common sense you could avert a similar hiatus in a few weeks time.
Think tactics.
14th May 2007 - 20th May 2007 Spontaneous gestures are the hallmark of the happy Sagittarian but they are also the cause of some painful bruises. With this in mind, avoid one of those shoot-from-the-hip statements and count to ten before you respond to provocation of any sort. Not that the week ahead is full of hidden land mines... Jupiter in your sign is highly protective and what comes at you in the way of surprises could be very welcome indeed. Relationships look to be the source of most of the ups and downs - sudden proposals and overnight U-turns being two alternative scenarios - and you should aim to be very flexible in the event of an unexpected change in a partner's or colleague's circumstances.
Count to ten.
21st May 2007 - 27th May 2007 Your easy-going temperament means that you tend to handle difficult issues better than most, however, when Pluto is in the ascendant you need to take a longer and deeper look at situations - what you're seeing is the tip of the iceberg; there is more under the surface. You may well have been dealing with a trying matter for some weeks, in which case a resolution is at hand; and, even if life is running as smoothly as usual a meeting or message could provide considerable food for thought. Mid-December Archers are in the mainframe here, although whenever your birthday give yourself plenty of time to think matters through before you make a response.
Think long and hard.
28th May 2007 - 3rd June 2007 The month opens with the only full moon in your sign this year, and while this may not be a life-changing event it is an appropriate moment to reflect on where you are emotionally and psychologically: it is a time to replenish yourself and reconnect with your innermost feelings and desires. On a purely practical level this week may find you examining the pluses and minuses of a relationship; it is both a time of union and of separation. It is also a time when your personal power is at a premium, by which I mean your insights are more profound and your ability to affect the course of a situation, especially a relationship, is greater than ever.
Mooning around.
4th June 2007 - 10th June 2007 Jupiter is half-way through its transit of your sign and ready to reveal his plans for your brilliant future. You don't believe me? Well, at this point of the year you get to see some signs of success at least but, especially if you have a birthday on or near 7th December, this is an extremely fortunate period. You may receive solid evidence that you are loved; you could win a jackpot of some description or you might simply recognize how blessed you are. And whenever your birthday, ventures begun now and commitments made will surely add to your lot in life. All right, Uranus may be about to make one of those Jack-in-the-box moves, but, heh, isn't that all part of life's rich pattern?
Enrichment.
11th June 2007 - 17th June 2007 Is there still some life left in a relationship? It may not be what it once was but if there is a slight heartbeat and you have the will to work on it a relationship can be turned around in the coming weeks. A new moon in the zone of partnership points to a new phase so while some single Archers can expect a little more action in the romance department those who are already yoked can look forward to a change for the better. In some cases what may help is indeed looking forward and not raking over the ashes of past hurts but in other cases, an incident in the past must be examined, forgiven and overcome in order to re-establish a loving and lasting bond.
That loving feeling.
18th June 2007 - 24th June 2007 If you're looking for lightness and mirth you won't find them under these stars. On the other hand, you will discover what lies behind a certain situation and what is in people's hearts. Sun-Pluto oppositions have an aura of revelation about them, but once you are in a position of knowledge you will also have the strength to do what must be done. Events already penned in your diary will live up to expectations, and if you are indeed making a long-term decision it will transform your life in ways you cannot imagine. Enjoy the wonderful things that come into being now and should you run into a rather large obstacle, take a step back and you'll find it's a lot smaller than you think.
A peak moment.
25th June 2007 - 1st July 2007 Sagittarians are never down for long: you have a great philosophy of life and a way of putting a positive spin on the toughest situation. If you do have a fault it lies in your failing to allow enough time to consider all the angles. With this in mind, look deeply into developments this week: a refusal, a cancellation or some other blight on your sunny landscape is almost certainly a blessing in disguise; likewise, a promise or an invitation, albeit genuine, may not in the fullness of time materialize. Money matters require particular attention because although it is the right time to close a deal, you must ensure that any loopholes are in your favour, not the other party's.
All is not as it seems.
2nd July 2007 - 8th July 2007 Something appears to be getting in the way of your arrows of desire. Could it be obstructions and delays to your travel plans? Is someone failing to respond to your questions? Or could it be that you yourself are full of doubts as to the advisability of a certain commitment? Obstacles are there for a reason, if only to teach you the virtue of patience, but the most likely cause is that you are being prevented from making a move that you might ultimately regret. Take a deep breath, talk to those in whom you place your trust and confidence, and wait for the tide to turn, or more truly, for Mercury to get back on track.
Treading water.
9th July 2007 - 15th July 2007 The normally speedy Archer has been somewhat constrained recently but the blocks are about to come off in the form of Mercury's change of direction. Hopefully, you will now see why you have had to wait for a result or why a situation had to come to an end. To add to this picture of promise, both Uranus and Pluto are opening doors for you, whether in the sense of taking you to places and people guaranteed to bring a smile to your face or revealing new ways to get around a difficulty. And if money has been the primary cause of concern, Saturday's new moon is a sign of a forthcoming financial package and the beginning of an improved twelve-month cycle.
Movement, at last.
16th July 2007 - 22nd July 2007 When Mars and Uranus are on good terms, as they are this week, breakthroughs of one description or another can take place so consider you have a clear field in which to negotiate anything from a new salary structure to the colour of the dining room carpet! Good ideas emerge out of the ether and issues that have been getting in the way of a desired result, or simply creating static in a relationship, can be overcome in seemingly simple ways. And should you be beginning a new endeavour or trying to impress others with your talents and ingenuity, use this prevailing tail wind to get your campaign off to a brilliant start.
Gentle breezes.
23rd July 2007 - 29th July 2007 As the great explorer of the zodiac you'll welcome with open arms the sun's arrival in the zone of far horizons. At last the green light has come on for travel and things of a far-off nature, and after weeks of introspection or a period of relative darkness the light at the end of the tunnel appears. Now, I'm not about to contradict myself but you will need to be on the look out for minor slips, whether these are statements uttered in the heat of the moment or errors of judgement. All journeys require preparation so rather than start out late or on the wrong foot take the time to ensure you have everything you need and that everyone is on the same page.
Order, not chaos.
30th July 2007 - 5th August 2007 There is a good lesson to be learned this week, and it may well revolve around patience and acceptance. Mars and Saturn combine to stop you in your tracks, almost certainly to ensure that you do not take a step guaranteed to backfire on you. It may be that you have been burning the midnight oil or ignoring a minor health problem, in which case you have reached a point where something needs to be done to rectify the damage. On the other hand, an endeavour involving distant people and places may have to be postponed.
Once you have given the matter enough time and thought you will be able to establish whether to make some adaptations or abandon this particular ship of dreams.
Pause for thought.
6th August 2007 - 12th August 2007 Has your love life lacked sparkle recently, or is it completely non-existent? If your answer to either of these questions is a resounding yes, here comes Mars galloping to the rescue. Until mid-September this fiery planet will add a little extra spice to life, although it might also send partners on the warpath. Indeed, if you have any competitors or outright enemies Mars will root them out. Jupiter also turns itself around this week with the effect that you too might suddenly get back your joy and optimism. And with or without concrete proof of success, there are signs in the astrology that you are on the right track.
Getting there.
13th August 2007 - 19th August 2007 You're not going to get anywhere in a hurry this week so put yourself in neutral and let other people do all the fussing and fretting. An agreement or plan could suddenly develop teething troubles and it may be expedient to scrap it altogether; nevertheless, this is not a decision that you should reach in a nanosecond nor in a fit of pique. Discuss the options with others and if there is not enough solid information to go on, wait until there is. Someone at a distance from you could prove particularly helpful and you too will gain from distancing yourself from contentious issues.
Standing back.
20th August 2007 - 26th August 2007 Your reputation as the most optimistic and philosophical sign owes everything to your ruler, Jupiter, so when this planet is in the ascendancy, as it is this week, it evokes your brightest and best qualities. (We'll talk about extravagance and excess in a minute.) A spectacular opportunity could come your way now and people will pursue you with intent; on the other hand, if you have been profligate or careless you are about to be reminded of the law of cause and effect. This is the right time to get your life back in balance but without losing your intrinsic self-belief or your determination to bring your visions into reality.
Making good your intentions.
27th August 2007 - 2nd September 2007 Weeks go by and nothing happens, situations relentlessly stay the same, then suddenly everything happens at once. And this is just such a time. It may be that you get the wind in your sails and decide that you can no longer wait for others to give their sanction to a project or perhaps an item of information has surfaced which goads others into action. Certainly, if you have a birthday on or near 7th December this is a week of surprising developments. Flashes of inspiration, impulse decisions and sudden surges of emotion can all be yours, and, if a situation has been hanging on by a thread, prepare to give it the last rites!
A new order.
3rd September 2007 - 9th September 2007 September promised to be an eventful month, something you may come to understand this week. On the plus side, opportunities may suddenly arise that will take you into fresh fields but should anything already be in a fragile state it won't take much to tip it over the edge. Thus, do your best to keep your feelings under control and avoid any of those shoot-from-the-hip statements. Of course, the cosmos may have its own ideas as to what unusual developments take place now, but if you are more than ready for the new, the different, and the vaguely controversial this would be the perfect moment to unleash your plans on the rest of the world.
Lightening strikes.
10th September 2007 - 16th September 2007 Eclipses come and go but they tend to leave a lasting impression - something to consider in light of Tuesday's solar eclipse in the zone of career and life-goals. Throughout September opportunities to alter long established patterns will continue to appear, however, while you may be master of your own fate much of the time this is probably not the case right now. Organizations involved with your work could reach important decisions this week, which may well inspire changes all round. On the other hand, a development of a family or personal nature could set you thinking about the benefits of a change of scene, and certainly a re-evaluation of your priorities.
A new look.
17th September 2007 - 23rd September 2007 Pluto has the power to make a real difference to your life so if you have been toying with the idea of creating a big change, now is the time to do so. Especially if you have a birthday on or near 17 December this planet is forcing you to look deep inside your soul so that you will make wise decisions and reach profound understandings. This is a time of awakenings - you will see people in their true light, which may mean that a working or intimate relationship cannot continue unless huge changes occur in the other person. Which well they might. Do not regret the passing of the old: it is appropriate to shed a skin at this point and to await the new with great anticipation.
To everything there is a season...
24th September 2007 - 30th September 2007 If your social life has been a casualty of the recent planetary holocaust prepare to do some
partying. The cosmos has cheered up considerably setting the stage for a more relaxed way of
life and a lot more focus on things of the creative and pleasurable kind. A collaborative
venture could be the reason you're in high spirits or after some months of trial and error
your efforts start to see success. The only fly in the ointment could appear in a friendship or
working association... It may be that you no longer share the same interests or views or,
perhaps, someone else has stirred up controversy. Take a step back before you take one you may
have cause to regret.
Lighten up.
1st October 2007 - 7th October 2007 An idea that came up or an offer made some weeks ago that disappeared into the ether could be back in circulation. There is a
connection between the events of the next seven days and those of the week of the 14th August. And should you not be able to make
the connection this is still an optimum moment to resurrect a situation in which you still have faith. The area of travel and
long-range matters is centre stage and while you could be on your way to people and places at a distance the more important
message of these stars is that sometimes in order to get what (or who) you want, you have to be prepared to try, try and
try again, and then some!
The power of faith.
8th October 2007 - 14th October 2007 Instincts should be obeyed, as long as you have a cushion in place should you suffer a fall from your high expectations. Jupiter and Uranus are a volatile couple, capable of producing the most brilliant result and the least likely outcome. Property matters and family affairs are in the frame, whether you make an overnight decision to change something that has been in place for years or because someone close to you makes an announcement that effectively does the same thing. By contrast, Sagittarians with November birthdays could be ready to sign up to an endeavour that promises to last a very long time.
A variety-packed week.
15th October 2007 - 21st October 2007 Timing as you know is everything and with this week's gentle yet productive alignments you should take a bull by the horns. In some cases this means it is the right time to deal with a problem that requires delicate handling but for other Archers the timing is perfect for floating an idea intended to make you money or work wonders for your love life. It's not the hard sell that is required either but the softly-softly approach. Venus is currently shining her light on career and life-goals; she is also bringing you to the attention of people who can make a positive difference to your existence, so side-line the small stuff and start thinking big.
Timing.
22nd October 2007 - 28th October 2007 Making a move on the spur of a moment is Sagittarius' way - you live in the moment and if your decision turns out to be wrong you'll somehow work it out and if it goes right you'll add it to your long list of accomplishments. Which brings us on to this week's stars. Uranus is the master of the impulse move so particularly on Monday or Tuesday events will galvanize you into action. It may be that you have been trying to commit to a duty or an endeavour and suddenly you can take it no more; on the other hand, someone else could make a decision that frees you from a responsibility. There is a subtle sense of end-of-an-era in there too.
Freedom.
29th October 2007 - 4th November 2007 Making a name for yourself may not be top of your list of priorities at present but if you want to get the most out of these stars you'll shift your attention to your career. A person in a position to help you fulfil an ambition can be approached now and even if this does not produce the magic result immediately, you will have left a favourable impression. Likewise, if you have other desires to fulfil steps taken this week will get you ever nearer your target. It is possible that a message you left some weeks ago has only just been received so that you will hear positive news; on the other hand, if you've been knocking at a door and it's refused to open, give it one last chance.
Never give up; never give in!
5th November 2007 - 11th November 2007 Pluto is once again being stirred, this time by beautiful Venus, so affairs
of the heart and those things you most desire are the focus for this
week's ups and downs. You may be overwhelmed by your feelings for
someone you have recently met or someone you have known for a long time will
reveal another side of himself/herself; an endeavour you have been working
on could reach make or break point or you may suddenly find the energy and
resolve to bring something remarkable into being. And, one way or another,
especially if you have an 18 December birthday, something is going to look
very different by the end of the week.
Deep feelings.
12th November 2007 - 18th November 2007 You're not at your sharpest at the moment so you must be extra careful not to make snap judgements and head down blind alleys. The chances are you're just over-worked and under-stressed but you could also be spending inordinate amounts of time thinking about someone or something which is preventing you from dealing with a pressing reality. Finances require real focus this week, especially if you are trying to reach an agreement with an ex or a financial organization. Other people could be reluctant to relinquish power and control and there is a possibility that an understanding reached earlier will have to be scrapped.
Watch out for loopholes.
19th November 2007 - 25th November 2007 You're back in the land of the living! The sun enters your sign on the 22nd invigorating you and filling you with renewed optimism. And this is a thought you must hang onto should the weekend turn out to be less than fun. On the plus side, Saturday's full moon will bring a relationship full circle, allowing you to make a lasting commitment or move on but on the minus side, you may be plunged into confusion by someone's behaviour. Neptune is all about smoke and mirrors so there is much to be said for stepping back until you can see a situation clearly: your fears may prove completely unfounded, yet so too could your hopes.
Slowly but surely.
26th November 2007 - 2nd December 2007 Sunny skies and sparkling horizons are what celestial Archers have their sights set on, that is until a large black cloud blocks the view, which may well be the case this week. Saturn has a way of pouring cold water on the hottest of endeavours and bringing down the temperature of the most passionate relationship, however, there is always a purpose behind such developments. Should someone put an obstacle in the path of your dreams, either there will be another way to achieve your objectives or you were heading in the wrong direction in the first place. As you may well know by now disappointments and frustrations only make you stronger.
Keeping on keeping on!
3rd December 2007 - 9th December 2007 You thrive on change and ever-expanding horizons, as long as you are in the driver's seat; it's not quite as much fun when other people force you to head along a new route, which may well be the case in early December. It seems you need to find a balance between the old and the new, responsibilities versus freedom, so situations are arising that urge you to address these issues. Certainly, you cannot walk away from a commitment without giving those concerned adequate warning or putting in place a contingency plan; likewise, you cannot refuse an offer that would take you into unknown territory through a mistaken sense of loyalty. Food for thought, eh.
Choices.
10th December 2007 - 16th December 2007 You could say that the whole year has been leading up to this point: having journeyed through your sign these past twelve months,
ruler, Jupiter, is about to leave but before it does it makes a conjunction to mighty Pluto. A rebirth is symbolized here so, especially
if your birthday falls on or near 19th December, you are leaving a part of your life behind and looking out on untrammelled territory,
whether in terms of a relationship, a job or a set of belief systems. This is the perfect time to launch a major new venture but if, on
the other hand, something disappears from your life, it is leaving the stage free for a brand new and wonderful act.
A new era.
17th December 2007 - 23rd December 2007 Jupiter may be leaving your sign on the 18th but it is moving into an area where it can bring many great benefits - finances. However, monetary boosts are not the only item on the astrological agenda this week: Mercury and the sun both conjoin Pluto encouraging you to eliminate those things that are clogging up your life. Now, you may choose simply to have a massive clear-out at home or in the work place but, especially if you have a birthday at this time you are facing a much bigger set of challenges - challenges whether of a welcome or daunting variety which will ultimately leave you a freer and more joyful person.
Clearing the decks.
24th December 2007 - 30th December 2007 After the pressure and demands of the past couple of weeks Christmas finds you ready to enjoy yourself and in philosophical mood. There is a chance of a last moment spending spree so you may need to take your inner-baker along with you on your shopping trips. On the other hand, this generosity may translate as being giving with your heart, and with romantic Venus heading into your sign on the 30th there could be some very happy moves made under the mistletoe. Indeed, as New Year's Eve approaches you may well have reason to believe that 2008 is going to take you into a new era - and a very exciting one at that.
Extravagance in all its forms.
31st December 2007 - 6th January 2008 Your old friend, Pluto, insists on being with you for the New Year so if you haven't yet dealt with a thorny issue get ready to do so this week. There is a chance that you have made plans already that will incur considerable upheaval on a physical and practical level, in which case you have the planetary back up you require, but if you have no such scenario in your diary, and you have a late December birthday, get ready to rumba! Facing reality and/or pruning back to basics would be sensible actions to take in this climate; you can also bring off a hugely ambitious project. What you want to avoid, however, is rattling someone's cage and burning a much-needed bridge.
Tactics, tactics.
7th January 2008 - 13th January 2008 Venus continues to wend her way through your sign bringing good fortune in her wake and giving you oodles of charisma. At least that's the theory... This week Venus hooks up to unpredictable Uranus so don't think you can bet on the outcome of anything, especially a romance. If you're single and you have an 8-11th December birthday an attraction may suddenly be sparked and as a general rule of thumb this is a period in which relationships change course at the speed of sound. Now, this trend may fill you with happiness but if you're in a relationship that isn't in the best of health it might be prudent to cover it in goose down.
The unexpected and the unusual.
14th January 2008 - 20th January 2008 You're in no mood to be reticent - events evoke your most outspoken response so if you
value your job or a good working relationship bite your lip. On the other hand, if you have
recently been bitten by the love bug you can expect to find out the extent of the damage!
Mars-Venus oppositions create tension and fire up the feelings, which can be wonderful in an
intimate relationship but a trifle incendiary otherwise. Also, with Venus about to conjoin Pluto
a situation that has been simmering, and maybe not so gently, is ready to bubble over. And this
trend applies first and foremost to 20 December birthdays.
Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble...
21st January 2008 - 27th January 2008
Pluto has been your constant companion for the last thirteen years - you've had some good times, and you've had some dreadful ones,
but the experience has made you a better, stronger person. And, as if to give this planet a truly great send-off, it makes a conjunction to
Venus. Passion in a bottle is one way of describing this event, a tornado of change would be another. Once again it is the 20th December
birthdays who are in the centre of the cyclone, whether you are ecstatic about the way events are unfolding or somewhat non-plussed about
them. And whenever your birthday the week ahead is all about transformation and awakenings.
Goodbye and hello!
28th January 2008 - 3rd February 2008 Life is full of detours and delays. Yes, Mercury, planet of travel and dialogue, goes into reverse thrust on the 28th, giving you an
opportunity to rethink one or more situations but also clogging up the pipes of communication. Yet, as if to compensate for this
frustrating state of affairs, Mars gets back on track in the zone of relating. In the next couple of weeks someone with whom you have been
on hostile terms may be ready to talk, although you should not entirely dispose of the notion that this person is not your greatest friend
and admirer. On the other hand, if you have been wondering where the spark has gone in a romance, back it comes with a vengeance.
Comme ci, comme ca.
4th February 2008 - 10th February 2008 Under such stars a small error could carry big consequences so do nothing in a hurry and do not take other people's statements at face value. A solar eclipse close to mysterious Neptune may encourage you to follow your dreams but it could lead you up a blind alley too. In some cases this forecast may prove entirely literal in that you will set out on a journey and lose your way but it is more likely to manifest as a misunderstanding or a communication that fails to reach its target. And with Mercury in reverse mode for another week it could take some time to realize a mistake and unravel the tangled web.
Ever decreasing circles.
11th February 2008 - 17th February 2008 One way of summing up your stars would be a journey into the unknown. On the one hand, you may be travelling to a place you have never visited before and, on the other, you could be drawn into a situation that you have not previously encountered. Either way, only when you reach the end of the journey will you know what it was all about. There is a strongly spiritual element in play this week, and you may feel that you are being led to take certain steps but while this should not be an excuse for abdicating responsibility you can and should trust your intuition. Especially where your ambitions and desires are concerned an action driven by the heart cannot fail.
Divine guidance.
18th February 2008 - 24th February 2008 There's nothing like a total lunar eclipse to set you straight. Illumination is a feature of this celestial event, and shortly you can expect
to see someone or something in a whole new light. There is also an-end-of-a-chapter theme in play, making this an appropriate
week to experience closure and move on. First and foremost this theme applies to work and second the home front, and, especially if you have a
November birthday, what comes or goes now or in the next couple of weeks will make a lasting imprint on your life. However, regrets are not what
you should be nurturing; instead you should be looking at what is now opening up for you.
Seeing the light.
25th February 2008 - 2nd March 2008 There's an expression: you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and you would do well to remember this now. You are a frank and
forceful individual, which, in times past has speeded your course but recently may have impeded you. A harsh word, an impulsive decision, and,
indeed, any action you may have cause to regret has an opportunity to be set to rights this week, and it seems you should make the opening
gambit. Some Sagittarians can look forward to a journey for love while others will receive a message that does wonders for the heart and, in
general, life runs on silken castors for the next seven days.
A window of opportunity.
10th March 2008 - 16th March 2008 You'll have answers to questions and events of mid-to-late February may figure in the equation. Saturn helps with the process of closure, whether you need to seal the
lid on a relationship or sign an agreement of a professional or financial nature. However, this planet is never a bundle of laughs so don't expect other people to be brimming over
with happiness and generosity, although they will be ready to get down to business. Home, on the one hand, and your role in life, on the other, are in the spotlight making this a week in
which you can achieve a feather in your cap yet also a time when any fantasies you may have nurtured will be blown to bits.
The truth can never hurt you.
3rd March 2008 - 9th March 2008 Always the optimist you may need to be a little more circumspect this week. While you yourself may be in
fine form other people could be out of sorts and spoiling for a fight. And this may be especially
relevant where finances are concerned. It may be that you have to work a minor miracle to correct a
monetary slip-up or someone you have financial dealings with behaves in a less than honest or
generous fashion. In the event of any kind of impasse - financial or otherwise - tread very
carefully and under no circumstances release your big guns. Shooting yourself in the foot would be the
least of your problems.
Playing safe.
17th March 2008 - 23rd March 2008 A situation reaches a head, after which you can breathe easier. March is a liberating month,
both in the sense of freeing you from an obligation you no longer need or want and in the
way of allowing you to express your independent spirit. And if you haven't yet been
relieved of a duty or found a platform for your ideas such potential could be realized this
week. Money is to the forefront, whether you are making a large purchase, taking out a big
loan or ending a pattern of earning/spending. And if finances aren't the subject of
major developments it could be an affair of the heart that has you in all or nothing mode.
Big stuff.
24th March 2008 - 30th March 2008 March goes out with a bang not a whimper. On the one hand, you could experience a stroke of great good fortune and, on the
other, something you had assumed would stand the test of time falls apart at the seams. This is the nature of Uranus -
to act as a lightening bolt, generating energy and opening up new vistas yet also razing to the ground those things that
have done their time. Add lucky Jupiter to the recipe and even if you are on the receiving end of a less than wonderful
development something extremely beneficial will spring from the ashes of the old. There's no point fighting change; you
just have to go with it.
Changing horizons.
31st March 2008 - 6th April 2008 Think carefully before you utter a promise or an ultimatum. If you're one hundred percent behind your
statements then go ahead in the certain knowledge that you will have to carry them out. However, if you
are simply exploring a possibility and waiting to see the reaction you get, you may be unable to change
the tape, so to speak. Since the beginning of March Pluto has made frequent appearances, which could have
had the effect of bringing you to the brink then pulling you back, however, there is something of a
finality about these aspects. You are ready to close a chapter and open a new one, whatever the upheaval
or the controversy.
A state of the nation address.
7th April 2008 - 13th April 2008 This is a week of extremes: the good news will be off-the-wall great and the bad will require
liberal doses of fortitude and philosophy. Money matters are centre stage and thanks to the combined
efforts of Jupiter and Pluto, any gains will be spectacular, as will be the losses. With this in mind,
avoid making a move, especially regarding finances, that is nothing more than a fishing expedition.
People will take you at your word and you will have to bear the consequences of your actions. Then again,
you are such a lucky individual you are sure to emerge from any controversy smelling like a proverbial
rose.
Forethought please.
14th April 2008 - 20th April 2008 A powerful angle of harmony linking the areas of work, money and life-direction will help you hit your targets. In some cases a major career break is on its way; in others an unexpected stroke of luck will ease a financial problem and, in general, these next seven to ten days give you a clear field in which to pursue personal and professional ambitions. You are also beginning a four-week period in which you can take all manner of systems to task in order to improve their functioning, and while your physical health could be the chief beneficiary here bringing order out of chaos wherever it lies can only speed your course.
Getting there.
21st April 2008 - 27th April 2008 You are at your best, beaming optimism left, right and centre and going the extra mile for those you love
or desire to impress. Of course, you could allow these jolly Jupiterian influences to preside over a week
of pleasure and extravagance but, if you're wise, you'll use them like a rocket-launcher to
boost your hopes and plans. This is an especially positive week for finances and while this may simply
indicate a period of intense retail therapy your self-worth is likely to be increased by more
substantial developments. Be confident in financial commitments and investments that are made and expect
to be given what you deserve.
Adding to your stock.
28th April 2008 - 4th May 2008 You may have experienced a sense of treading water recently, especially where your job is concerned or a
matter related to your long term future, however, with Saturn getting back on track things are beginning
to sort themselves out. More importantly, you will discover the reason for any delays or complications.
Whatever the appearance of certain situations there is something entirely positive at the heart of them
so do not collapse like an undercooked soufflé should you not get everything and more right now. Keep on
believing in yourself and accept any criticism as a spur to getting things even more perfect.
A sudden shift.
5th May 2008 - 11th May 2008 The Sagittarian Archer always looks forward, both in the sense of being the zodiac's divine optimist and in
moving onward, preferably into unfamiliar territory. However, your progress and direction are about to experience a
subtle change. It may be that you have come too far too soon and need to pause to reassess matters or, perhaps, a
period of treading water is necessary to allow all the disparate components of a situation to come together. Then
again, you could be poised to go back to a place or a person you knew many moons ago. However this turn-around
manifests, know that it is a good thing.
About turn!
12th May 2008 - 18th May 2008 The areas of money and work are divinely connected, in some cases resulting in a very welcome career development
and in others generating an optimum climate in which to discuss finances and your future. Indeed, it is difficult
to find a negative side to these encouraging aspects. At the very least you can make headway with an endeavour and
other people will be impressed by your ideas and efforts. There will be other moments in 2008 when you can allow
your optimism to get the better of you but where money and material issues are concerned this has to be one of the
best. It's time you allowed hope to triumph over experience!
Boom not bust.
19th May 2008 - 25th May 2008 If your love life has been something of a blank canvas, get ready for some colour and excitement. Not only the sun, but also Venus, will be gracing the area of relationships over the next four weeks setting the stage for one or more positive romantic developments. This is also the beginning of a phase when other people will be far more open to your ideas and keen to back you personally and professionally. Not that you may see much evidence of this trend this week. First, there is a reality to be faced and second, more than a trace of confusion to overcome. To help you with these challenges, you will need to be both patient and nit-picking.
Reality not fantasy.
26th May 2008 - 1st June 2008 Romantic, harmony-seeking Venus has just entered the zone of relating but already she is encountering her first obstacle - Saturn. This planet likes boundaries and exacts a high price when they are breached so a lesson in eating humble pie could be on its way. People will not hesitate to show you where you have transgressed and, should a relationship already have been in a fragile state, a breathing space may be the best option for now. On the plus side, if you're about to marry or place a light-hearted romance onto a serious footing you have Saturn's blessing. Just how much Mercury's turning retrograde helps or hinders matters rather depends. Let's just say you'll need to be patient.
Lessons in love and patience.
2nd June 2008 - 8th June 2008 June may well turn out to be the most important month of 2008 for your love life. Aside from a general
theme of partners and associates playing an even larger role in decision-making and in helping you
achieve your ends, new people who enter your life could turn out to be very good news indeed. Should
you be planning to exchange vows this week or joining an organization, you can have full confidence in
such actions; likewise, if someone comes to you with a proposal, it will be more than worth your
consideration. All right, Mercury is in reverse mode, which can mean complications and delays with
agreements but on this occasion the blessings far outweigh the inconveniences.
Saying: I do.
9th June 2008 - 15th June 2008 You will not be bored this week. Unsettled, breathless, taken aback, maybe. But definitely not bored.
The sun and Venus are blissfully united in the area of relationships bringing some Sagittarians love in
abundance and others amazement at a sudden and unexpected development. If you've been torn between
two people, you'll be able to make a choice and in general this is a period in which people rock
your world, one way or another. Of course, it is possible that the next seven days will see nothing
exceptional on your life radar but on someone else's who is close to you, in which case your advice
should be: this is not the end of the story...
The storm of love.
16th June 2008 - 22nd June 2008 This is a big week in the Sagittarian calendar: not only the one full moon of the year in your very
own sign but both the sun and Venus oppose Pluto, now safely back in Sagittarius. Aside from the
possibility that you may have already chosen this period for a special occasion, any of those
situations simmering away on the back burner will surely reach boiling point. You could receive a
marriage proposal, a serious job offer or you may acquire the courage to approach an organization or
someone you have admired from a distance with a view to taking you on! Then again, an entirely out
of the blue event could throw all your carefully made plans into disarray.
Anything goes - or comes!
23rd June 2008 - 29th June 2008 Sagittarians are some of the most successful people on the planet and to others it can seem as though
you never have to struggle for your achievements. Of course, that's ridiculous: you just make it
seem as if you're not trying or that you don't care. However, making an effort and caring are
the stuff of these stars and, should you have tried and failed recently, it's time to get back in
the saddle. Sometimes other people need to know how much a goal matters to you and that you would do
anything and everything to attain it. Forget the cavalier approach this week: aim at your targets with
purpose. It's the only way.
Focus, focus.
30th June 2008 - 6th July 2008
Sometimes it is right to be cautious and follow the tried and tested path but on other occasions the correct move is the unorthodox one. With this in mind, do not pour cold water on an idea or offer made to you now. This is a time of change and possibility and the more unconventional you can be, the better. Of course, this does not mean throwing all your money into a venture that is as leaky as a sieve or believing the word of someone who has lied many times before but it does imply that a promising situation should not be rejected simply because it asks those involved to think outside the box and risk other people's criticism.
Lateral thinking.
7th July 2008 - 13th July 2008 To be forewarned is to be forearmed, as they say. And in this case this means not hoping to charm your way into people's hearts and minds nor bending the rules and expecting to get away with it. No, you're going to have to stay on the straight and narrow this week, and you're going to have to impress people with hard facts and figures. A meeting could have powerful consequences, whether feelings exchanged turn a casual relationship into something a lot more passionate and committed or because you reach an impasse with a colleague or an organization. Great things come out of these stars but so too do irrevocable actions.
Wisdom not whimsy.
14th July 2008 - 20th July 2008 One of the most generous signs of the zodiac you could need your astrologer to remind you that there is a limit to your munificence... Aside from resisting a spend-fest in the high street don't be in too much of a hurry to accept the first costing you are given on an item or a service and avoid buying into any scheme that could be promising more than it can deliver. In many ways this is a week of reckonings, whether this relates directly to your bank account or to a situation in which there is a serious imbalance. Use Friday's full moon to end a pattern of behaviour that is leading your being drained of vital resources.
Enough, already!
20th July 2008 - 27th July 2008 At last the focus on things of a financial and complex nature fades and you can begin to look out on your life with a degree of lightness and optimism. In an ideal world you'd be packing your bags and heading off on some holiday safari but if that is not in your weekly planner, you can at least seek out people who and activities that have the effect of taking you out of yourself. Over the next four to six weeks you will make a journey of some distance, not necessarily in terms of miles but in the way of viewing one or more current life situations. Don't lose sight of the fact that you are at heart a philosopher and a trail-blazer.
A distant view.
28th July 2008 - 3rd August 2008 Travelling under these stars will prove to be a journey in more ways than one! A total solar eclipse in the zone of far horizons not only opens a brand new window on your world but blows away some old beliefs and strategies in the bargain. While the message of an eclipse can be active some weeks before and after the date itself (1st) you will discover its meaning when you are suddenly awoken to a new set of possibilities or your plans receive a major shake-up. Signing a contract, reaching an important decision or sensing that your destiny lies somewhere else could be the result of these powerful influences, but be assured you are being guided.
Signs and signals.
4th August 2008 - 10th August 2008 Try not to let your enthusiasm get the better of you. An endeavour or an association could be all it seems, and more, but if it is as valuable as you believe it to be it will still be there next week. By which I mean, there is no need to put at risk other interests and upset other people by focusing solely on the main attraction. Wednesday's Mars-Uranus opposition is the stuff of accidental slips, primarily of the verbal kind, so you will have to be extra careful how you go mid-week. Sometimes an impulse move pays off, sometimes your gut-feelings are correct but in this crazy astro-scape you'd be better sticking to the rules and remaining very, very cautious.
A no-risk policy.
11th August 2008 - 17th August 2008 Do your best to keep your focus because it will be easy to lose your way and lose the plot. Travelling to distant places is one aspect of life that could prove frustrating; dialogues with people who are far away is another. Should you indeed be heading off on a trip for personal or professional reasons, leave nothing to chance or the last minute and make sure you have a back-up plan in case of delays and unexpected detours. This is one of those times when conflicting information raises many doubts in your mind so you need to fight your normal inclination to make a quick decision. Time will tell if someone or something is as it seems.
Losing track.
18th August 2008 - 24th August 2008 You're probably discovering already that August is a live-wire kind of month, and with Uranus centre stage this week electric moments are the name of the game. You are a sign that thrives on new experience and channelling your energies in ten different directions at once so you should be in your element, however, if someone throws a spanner in the works do your best not to spin out of control. This is the right time to take a leap of faith and the wrong time to hang on to a situation that has no more life left in it. Be particularly careful handling machinery and dealing with people of fragile temperament – you don't want to spend the next few weeks picking up the pieces.
Snap, crackle and pop!
25th August 2008 - 31st August 2008 To say the past couple of weeks have had their ups and downs could be something of an
understatement but just in case you have been lulled into a false sense of complacency here
come some reminders that nothing stays the same forever. Out of the blue developments could
necessitate a re-think, first and foremost on the work front and second regarding a
close association. There are no half-way measures to be taken now - you're
either wholly into a situation or completely out of it. However, there are ways to negotiate
this somewhat volatile week: assimilate information slowly and do nothing irrevocable unless
you absolutely know you can live with the consequences.
A climate of extremes.
1st September 2008 - 7th September 2008 Focus isn't always your strongest suit but when you truly want something you'll aim those arrows of yours with an accuracy and intent that is astonishing. And if this is striking a chord with you since you have been working long and hard towards a specific target, your reward could arrive this week. A superb link between the areas of career/life-goals and finance/self-esteem brings success and money, and should you make an important move under such an aspect progress is assured. For some Sagittarians, however, the week ahead contains a reminder that even in the happiest of lives a little rain must fall.
Onward and upward.
8th September 2008 - 14th September 2008 Finances may well have veered from one extreme to the other this year so your forecast this week may come as no surprise - you're either in the money or out of it! While planets in the zone of collaborations and enterprise are encouraging new ventures they are also revealing whether your creative efforts have been successful or wildly optimistic. With this in mind, should the figures tell a sad story now is the time to cut your losses. Fortunately, a brilliant connection between Saturn and Jupiter ensures that the steps you take to solidify your position will prove worthwhile and offers that appear on the table will be fulfilled.
Doing the numbers.
15th September 2008 - 21st September 2008 You may have had no idea just how determined you were to achieve your objectives and just how important a certain person or specific goal was. It is at times like these that you get to know what is truly in your heart and what really matters. Even if the week ahead brings not one simmering situation to the boil, you may sense a change in the wind which should encourage you to step up your efforts. There is no way of telling whether the combination of Pluto and a full moon will bring the results you desire now or in the future but you should look carefully at the writing on the wall -to ignore it would be folly.
Reading the signs.
22nd September 2008 - 28th September 2008 Someone could be about to do you a very good turn: past kindnesses are
remembered and efforts you once put in to help an ailing project could
have welcome results, in some cases after years and years. Neptune is
dissolving many barriers now, whether these are the sort we put across
our hearts for fear of being hurt or those that have been put in place
by the universe because the timing was not yet right. All right, not
everything will magically come together this week but there is a kind of
magic in the air... Thus, have faith in your dreams and confidence in
the actions you make from the heart.
That loving feeling.
29th September 2008 - 5th October 2008 Mystery and suspense do not entertain the celestial Archer: you are a straight-shooter with no time for long, drawn-out missions. However, it seems you have something of a puzzle on your hands. Then again, it is just possible that you are the one who has to keep a secret or act in a less than obvious fashion. Either way, you are at the beginning of a six-week period when truth is in short supply. First and foremost this trend applies to a love affair, whether you must keep the relationship under wraps for now or because you are unsure about someone's feelings for you. Pay attention to small details and under no circumstances ignore a red light.
Playing the sleuth.
6th October 2008 - 12th October 2008 Your generous spirit is fully engaged this week. Yes, you may be giving someone you love proof of your adoration or you could be piling money into a business or creative venture but the message of these stars is that a little self-love goes a long way. Since you are such an outgoing sign other people can fail to recognize that you need encouragement and praise and if this has been the case recently it's about time you blew your own trumpet. Success is within your grasp now, and maybe all you need to reach out and take it is to make sure a few people have noticed your abundant gifts. Stand up and be noticed.
Taking your applause.
13th October 2008 - 19th October 2008 The last few weeks may have seen a situation put on hold and you running around in ever decreasing circles. Happily, this trend is on its way out and you will be able to make a plan and see it come to fruition. Indeed, regardless of the frustrating time you may have had, a wait should have proved useful, if only because it enabled you be sure in your own mind about what you did or did not want. Tuesday's full moon is a sign that a matter is at an end or nearing completion, whether you are putting the finishing touches to a creative endeavour or signatures are ready to be placed on contracts. This is also somewhat of an emotional week, so keep the paper tissues handy at all times.
Completion.
20th October 2008 - 26th October 2008 Jupiter is on form generating good will and good fortune, and, at the very least, bringing out the best in you. An investment made now will surely grow in the future, whether we're talking money or love. Not that you should be throwing your money or your feelings about indiscriminately... Events since last September must have shown you that all that glisters is not gold therefore homework is essential if you are to commit time, finance and your heart to someone or something. On the 23rd the sun dips into the closeted twelfth house, earmarking a four-week period when the health of mind, body and spirit is to the fore.
Wise investments.
27th October 2008 - 2nd November 2008 When Venus is in your sign you have charm in abundance, so just in case you have been getting nowhere fast with a certain
situation and considering resorting to desperate measures, take a step back and allow this beautiful planet to bring you
what you most desire. The external presentation of events is by no means the full story, by which I mean you have to look at
hidden agendas and the subtle signals other people are sending. Also, once you stop forcing the issue and putting pressure
on yourself, your intuitive faculties will start to operate and you will be able to see what is really going on. Allow the
principle of attraction to manifest.
Let love lead the way.
3rd November 2008 - 9th November 2008 It seems a decision is to be made, and it may be made for you. Events conspire to change a small or large pattern of life, and although you may be put to some inconvenience what comes into being now will change your life for the better. This is a particularly challenging week for your material world, whether changes at work inspire wider life alterations or there are developments at home which interfere with your plans and your timetable. Venus is at the centre of cosmic affairs so a relationship could have reached at a crossroads. All good things stand this astrological test, and the bad really shouldn't bother you.
Movement and change.
10th November 2008 - 16th November 2008 On the 12th Venus meets Pluto for the last time in your sign so there is something of the now or never about your stars.
Maybe you know already that the week ahead represents a watershed but if not don't be surprised when you take a flying
leap into the deep end. Perhaps it has simply taken this long for you to realize that you cannot continue on the same old
path - something has to change, and you're going to see that it does. On the other hand, circumstances beyond your
control could shunt you in a whole new direction. A love affair or a long-standing relationship could be the source of
tumult but one way or another this is transformational few days.
Now or never.
17th November 2008 - 23rd November 2008 When Jupiter and Saturn are on good terms, you can build towards a better future, and since these two planets are currently influencing the zones of career and money, you could be about to take a step up the ladder of success. At the very least, you can strengthen your position this week and those things that you set in motion should lead to growth and prosperity in the future. The only fly in the ointment is the equally strong presence of unreliable Neptune, which does not render these bright forecasts redundant but it does imply that you cannot go about your business on a wing and a prayer - you need precision and back up.
Lining up those ducks.
24th November 2008 - 30th November 2008 A fresh chapter begins: Thursday's new moon in Sagittarius encourages you to set sail in new directions. Indeed, with ruler, Jupiter's, passage through the zone of travel and communications next year, a development during the coming two weeks could act as the rocket- launcher to 2009's new horizons. What may also need to happen, however, is a change of heart regarding a home/family matter or a situation that has been in play for a very long time. After all, when you embark on a journey the last thing you need is too much baggage... On the 27th, Pluto finally leaves your sign - yet another indication that a long and somewhat stormy chapter is over.
A departure.
1st December 2008 - 7th December 2008 There is no easy way forward under these stars. Mercury in your sign is stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea (Saturn and Uranus to be precise) and it seems whichever way you jump you're going to be paying for it – and not necessarily in financial terms. On the plus side, you could be getting rid of a burden and acquiring a sense of liberation but on the minus side what disappears at this time may be gone forever. Choose your words carefully and make your moves cautiously – with enough time to think through a situation you will make the right decision. And with Venus and Jupiter there for good measure, silver linings are everywhere to be found.
The getting of wisdom.
8th December 2008 - 14th December 2008 It's a good job the celestial Archer thrives on adventure because this astro-scape is quite a safari. Uranus and Saturn take you into rocky terrain, whether, after this week's events, you will be ever nearer the summit of your hopes and ambitions or forced to create a new blue-print. Friday is the day with the most-est – the most exciting opportunities and the greatest potential to upend you – so although you should tread warily all week it is this day above all others that requires patience and foresight. If you are on the receiving end of a sudden and unexpected change of circumstances, be philosophical and wait for the dust to settle.
Focus, focus...
15th December 2008 - 21st December 2008 There is nothing you cannot achieve if you stop pressurizing yourself and setting your targets impossibly high. It's a case of one step at a time this week and when someone or something gets in your way, not assuming it's the end of the world. There is a positive reason why a plan falters and it is certainly good to know the flaws as opposed to the virtues of a situation. Other people rely on your usual high spirits to carry them through and sometimes simply by throwing good will and good humour at a difficulty it starts to become smaller and smaller. Keep thinking joy-to-all-men and expecting those angels to pull out all the stops.
Spreading the joy.
22nd December 2008 - 28th December 2008 Do you need to create some space? Is there something you have endured for far too long that could do with the old heave-ho? If you can answer yes to either of these questions you will be delighted with your stars this week. They will help you get rid of debris in any and whatever form and they will pave the way for a new start. This is best done in regard to finances now, although the efforts you make to prune and sift will not be wasted in any area of life. However, sometimes Pluto doesn't give you any choice in the matter – what goes on his watch does so without ceremony or sanction. You just get to appreciate the process in hindsight.
Clearing the decks.
29th December 2008 - 4th January 2009 Put Jupiter and Mercury together and you get positive thinking in a bottle. However, this same combination can encourage recklessness. So, if you are heading out into the high street for the January sales, give yourself a budget, and don't overstretch it. From the 31st Saturn is on duty, or, rather in retrograde, so the cost of any extravagance will be higher than you think. Also, a forgotten bill or unexpected demand could upset your cash-flow. Venus arrives in the family zone on the 4th where she will urge you to think beautiful thoughts about your nearest and dearest, and the home itself could be in line for a make-over.
Putting your best foot forward.
5th January 2009 - 11th January 2009 Starting the year with a financial review is healthy, but not necessarily much fun. However, with a full moon cutting across the financial axis of your horoscope doing your sums before you head out to the sales, or leaving the sanctuary of your own home, is mandatory. This is a week of realizations and rationalizations: accounts have to be settled and a life returned to normality. And although this may apply principally to money and material resources a working or personal relationship may need to be brought back in balance. On the 11th, Mercury turns retrograde so there is much to be gained in sewing up one or more matters before then.
Reflection.
12th January 2009 - 18th January 2009 Annoying as it may be to be stopped in your tracks just as you were raring to go, there is a potential wrinkle to iron out so use this week's excellent influences to go through a document or a plan with a fine tooth comb. Research will turn out to be highly valuable and deferring a meeting could also aid your progress. Your job prospects could be improved by taking a study or skills course and if you're interviewing, checking out the competition should be top of your list of preparations. And where finances are concerned, you could receive news of a change in an arrangement that will release more money for you.
Doing your homework.
19th January 2009 - 25th January 2009 Your answer to the January blues might be to head to the airport and more exciting climes, and there will be some Archers who can indeed fly their way out of the blues now but in the main it will be a case of focusing on the positive and putting the negative in perspective. It may be difficult keeping all those plates spinning this week and the wiser decision might be to let something go before the rest come crashing down around your ankles. Mercury is still in retrograde so a difficulty has a chance to right itself and giving yourself time and space to review your options could prove to be a very useful exercise.
Changing horizons.
26th January 2009 - 1st February 2009 Travel and expanding horizons are manna to the Sagittarian soul and there are clear signs that you are heading in a new direction. Maybe you're about to go on holiday or take a business trip or, perhaps, you are planning a journey later in the year, but if there is no prospect of travel it could be that you will shortly meet someone who will radically alter your opinions. Solar eclipses change the status-quo, and it seems on this occasion you have become somewhat stuck in your thinking about someone or something. And once you look at a situation with a new pair of eyes, you will be surprised at how quickly it moves.
Insights.
2nd February 2009 - 8th February 2009 It seems you are between a rock and a hard place, otherwise known as the Saturn-Uranus opposition. And this is especially frustrating for the fiery Archer who does not like impediments of any kind. Saturn could well be the stronger force at present, which means you have to do the right thing, there are responsibilities you have to bear and business which must be completed, and the harder course of action is probably the right one. Once this is done you will be free to go in new directions. Fortunately, Venus is poised to begin a tour of duty in the pleasure-dome of the fifth house so good times lie ahead, and a love affair could be part of the story.
Taking the medicine.
9th February 2009 - 15th February 2009 Full moons always make for impressive journeys but when they are eclipsed they become the stuff of a novel – and a mystery one at that. Therefore if you are travelling early in the week don't leave anything to chance or the last minute – forgetting a vital item could be the least of your inconveniences. As for meetings and discussions be prepared for mixed messages and differences of opinion. This lunar eclipse may also have a lot to say about your love life, whether it marks the beginning of a beautiful journey or the end of one.
Travelling hopefully.
16th February 2009 - 22nd February 2009 Happy journeys lie ahead. You may indeed be setting off on a trip for business or pleasure but, as always, the more important safaris are undergone with the mind and heart. You are one of the most generous souls in the zodiac, prepared to go the distance for the object of your desires, yet sometimes you become distracted or lose heart too soon but not so now: what you have in range is a realizable objective and provided you keep that target in sight you will get there. Whatever the week throws up in the way of doubts or practical problems deal with them promptly then get on with the real business – the fulfilment of a dream.
Getting there.
23rd February 2009 - 1st March 2009 According to Robert Louis Stevenson, to travel hopefully is better than to arrive but in this astro-scape you can gain pleasure from both: the journey and the destination will prove worthwhile. There has been quite an emphasis on travel and dialogues since the start of the year but each week provides yet another example of how far you can go with joy in your heart and openness of mind. Maybe that's a tad saccharine for the sturdy Archer to swallow but sometimes your sign can be a little too blunt for its own good and if you haven't yet honeycombed your ideas it's about time you did. These stars are all about sweetening the trip.
A charm offensive.
2nd March 2009 - 8th March 2009 Striding into the unknown is manna to the Sagittarian soul, as long as you're aware you're in risky territory. The trouble is, under these stars, what appears to be perfectly normal is a whole other country. Misunderstandings, mis-steps and muddles easily happen so you'll need to take it slowly and avoid those shoot-from-the-hip remarks. This is not the best of times to sign on the dotted line, although if you have no alternative, you should go ahead but with certain safe-guards in place. On the bright side, you can impress someone with your ideas and make beautiful music with the object of your desires. You might even begin to see a dream coming true.
The stuff of dreams.
9th March 2009 - 15th March 2009 Rushing in where angels fear to tread is not to be recommended this week. A look before you leap strategy will be necessary at all times. This is not to say that there aren't some wonderful developments in the pipeline, but you could delay the fulfilment of a goal by misinterpreting the signals or being in too much of a hurry to notice a minor impediment. On the other hand, the time may have come for a commitment to end and for you to plough your talents and energies into a new furrow. Life at home could be less than calm too, whether you are moving the furniture or dealing with people who believe compromise is another word for defeat.
Count to ten...
16th March 2009 - 22nd March 2009 Try not to expect too much in the way of generosity and good cheer from others. You yourself might be happy with your lot or at least philosophical about what is going on but the rest of the world is out of sorts. On the other hand if your existence appears to hang upon someone's agreement with you be sure you have a fall-back position. There are no guarantees in a Saturn-Uranus climate: the old rules no longer apply and the new are still not fully formed so there is a degree of illogicality about people's behaviour. This does not mean positive developments cannot happen but it does infer that you have to be very flexible and accommodating.
Shifting your position.
23rd March 2009 - 29th March 2009 You can move mountains now – you can also be moved in strange and powerful ways. Certainly, late March contains enough planetary Plutonium to awaken you to all manner of truths and possibilities. A love affair could change direction, whether feelings deepen and plans for the long term are put together or because a discovery is made that causes a rift. New things that come into being have the stamp of Pluto upon them, which means they will affect you at core level and positive changes will follow; likewise should something come to an end it is the right time to move on. Nonetheless, avoid doing anything in the heat of the moment...
Root therapy.
30th March 2009 - 5th April 2009 There's something Titanic about this week's stars: so think tips of icebergs and that sinking feeling. It is possible that you didn't see the ramifications of a situation when you went into it or that unbeknownst to those involved circumstances would force alterations to a plan. Now, this does not have to be an unhappy state of affairs; it could be that what you thought was a casual relationship is much, much more or that what started out as a minor endeavour is a huge success. However, Pluto transits always involve some kind of turmoil so you will be stretched by events, whether in a physical, emotional or creative way.
Hidden depths.
6th April 2009 - 12th April 2009 It's not much fun when you can't get what you want or when a lot of hard work appears to have gone to waste but often some opposition to your plans sharpens the appetite and encourages you to go that extra mile. Now, I'm not saying that the week ahead will see the optimism barometer plunging but it does seem as though you need to take a realistic view of a situation: you're not going to get anything gift-wrapped. Mars-Saturn aspects are by their nature hard going, but sometimes just bearing this factor in mind gives you an edge in a negotiation and enables you to build a bridge over troubled waters.
It's that half-full glass again.
27th April 2009 - 3rd May 2009 On the 30th, Mercury arrives in the zone of relating thereby beginning a two month period in which other people have a greater say in what you do and what happens to you. And since Mercury is all about communication you may find that someone has something rather important to discuss with you this week. Ideally, you should make up your mind quickly and set as many balls rolling as you can because Mercury will turn retrograde on the 6th slowing down the wheels of commerce and communication. On the other hand, if you are unsure of your response there's much to be said for giving a matter time to percolate.
More water to flow under the bridge...
13th April 2009 - 19th April 2009 Remember the tale of the tortoise and the hare? Well, you need to acquire the virtues of the tortoise and take life at a slow and steady pace. There will be many diversions and unexpected potholes, all of which can be successfully negotiated if you take your time. Family matters could be a source of dispute and, if you're moving house or undergoing domestic changes don't be surprised if there are some last moment hitches. On the plus side, a difficulty could be resolved and if you've been torn between two courses of action, you'll know exactly which way to go. Whatever happens during the week ahead, keep your cool.
Snap decisions
20th April 2009 - 26th April 2009 Fine judgement will be needed now. Push too hard, take too strong a stance and you could irrevocably damage a situation; invest more money than you can safely handle, pull the plug on a financial arrangement before you have considered every alternative and you could be paying the price for a long time to come. Such is the delicate balance to be struck in this astro-scape. Short term solutions are not the answer: whatever you do in regard to an important matter will have long-term implications. And while finances may be centre stage for many Sagittarians this climate of extremes could also be operating in your love life. Put on those kid gloves.
Getting it right.
4th May 2009 - 10th May 2009 Put your feet up, have a cup of tea and take a patience pill. Yes, Mercury is doing a reverse thrust on Thursday so during the next three weeks everything is going to take t-i-m-e. Don't press the panic button if someone cancels on you or wants to revamp an agreement, the chances are that when the exercise in reflection is done you're going to have something even better. Plus, for once Saturn is doing you a few favours, especially on the work front, and you may well get the seal of approval and certainly a sense that your hard work will pay off, if not now then later. You are the most philosophical sign in the zodiac – prove it!
Showing restraint.
11th May 2009 - 17th May 2009 That inner voice of yours may have much of value to say so don't turn a deaf ear to any promptings from the divine. There could be some confusion over a work situation or there may be more than one way to interpret a recent development. Whatever the case, give yourself enough time to establish the truth before charging off in ten directions at once. Saturn turns direct on Sunday so your material world will begin to see some improvements over the next few weeks, and a decision you have been waiting for could be made before the month is out. Life is picking up, although if you're too impatient you could still fall into a pothole.
Cautious optimism
18th May 2009 - 24th May 2009 With the sun's arrival in the partnership zone a brief but nonetheless important period has begun for your love life. Mercury is still in retrograde so it may take another week or so before you can proceed in a straight line with a new relationship but this could prove to be an ideal opportunity to share past experiences and discuss hopes and dreams. On the other hand, if a long-term association has encountered some difficulties, rather than attacking the issues head on create a setting in which truths and feelings can be shared.
You may have to revisit a past episode and untangle hurt feelings but this must be done before you can get back on track.
The subtle approach.
25th May 2009 - 31st May 2009 Sagittarians rarely need an excuse to have fun – it is in your nature to find the joy in life – so if you do nothing else these next seven days, spend time with the people you love and the pursuits that pleasure you. On the other hand, Jupiter and Neptune could produce a brilliant opportunity which you will want to grab with both hands. You should also add to your knowledge and find surprising truths in unexpected places. So far, so good. The only problem with this fantastic astro-scape is just that - it's fantastic - and may have as much relation to reality as movies do to real life. Just in time Mercury returns to direct motion (31st) de-misting your world view.
Finding the joy.
1st June 2009 - 7th June 2009 Full moons make for emotional times so keep a box of tissues at the ready this weekend. A relationship could be the source of tears, whether of joy or otherwise, and if you're about to tie the marital knot you have the perfect stars for the job. Some Sagittarians, however, could be dealing with a relationship in crisis: if so, then do your best to keep your focus on the issues and try not to get sidetracked by ancient history. Saturn's presence assures that whatever is decided will stand the test of time so be careful what commitments to the future you make – and what threats or ultimatums you deliver.
Full circle.
8th June 2009 - 14th June 2009 There could be many reasons why optimism is returning but with the areas of finance and work in perfect harmony your material world could be looking much brighter than of late. Opportunities arising have to be seen in the context of your long term future so even if an offer doesn't quite meet requirements it could lead to great things further down the line. Also, with Neptune still influencing communications, you may not be seeing the whole picture or your desires and fears could be colouring your view. On the 14th, Mercury arrives in the relationship zone all set to open up negotiations of a business and romantic nature.
The long view.
15th June 2009 - 21st June 2009 This is probably not the best week to rely on other people to do what you expect them to do or for you to make a plan and have it carried out to the letter. The uncertainty principle is alive and well so allowing for last moment changes will keep you sane, plus you may find that the way a situation pans out is even better than you had imagined. Nonetheless, if you are in a relationship that has been strained of late or you are living or working with someone who is making life difficult it may take only one small incident to create a complete rift. Be kind to yourself and philosophical about what comes or goes.
Keeping cool.
22nd June 2009 - 28th June 2009 If you have been turning a blind eye to a financial issue now would be a good time to bring it into the light. You may find that your fears were unnecessary or by taking the initiative you will have greater control and a problem will be solved more easily. On the other hand, you could be on the receiving end of a large cheque. Pluto never does things by half so you're either in the pink this week, or in the red! And much the same could be said about a relationship. You cannot treat anything or anyone in a lightweight fashion: you need to get to the core of issues, the roots of feelings. And the pay off could be a relationship renaissance.
Digging deep.
29th June 2009 - 5th July 2009 If you can spot Venus in the night sky say a little prayer to her because she will enter the zone of relating on the 5th thereby bringing all her radiance to bear on your love life. And with Uranus at its controversial best this week you may need as much Venusian balm as you can get to pour on those troubled waters. Most of the time you are very tolerant of other people's differences but should someone take an opposite view to yours or there is an abrupt change of plan, please avoid going off the deep end. There are reasons which you cannot currently understand why certain situations are in a state of flux – it's part of life, not all of it.
Vive la difference!
6th July 2009 - 12th July 2009 Do your best not to get into an argument in the workplace or with someone who could make working life rather difficult for you. The chances are there is a misunderstanding at the root of any dispute or that information is faulty. Finances are another matter which require accuracy this week, and while you may be able to sign off on an agreement or complete a major transaction, you could have a cash-flow crisis to contend with. Not that everything in life is star-crossed. Lovely Venus continues to shine brightly for you bringing harmony to bear where once there was discord and generally helping love triumph in the end.
Look before you leap.
13th July 2009 - 19th July 2009 You have your fiery nature to thank for getting results that others can only dream of and having experiences that breed envy and admiration. However, it's also your fiery nature that gets you into hot water from time to time. Fortunately, this is not one of those weeks when you're likely to get a scorching but one when an intuitive move works in your favour. This is especially the case with a financial or property matter, whether you take the plunge and invest time, money or emotions in a risky endeavour or because an individual or an organization decides to invest in you. Keep reminding yourself: nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Courage breeds success
20th July 2009 - 26th July 2009 Taking-off is a theme close to the Sagittarian heart and, thanks to this week's impressive astro-scape, you could be on your way, both in the sense of travel and success. First, however, there could be a financial glitch to resolve, although this could be the very factor that gets you heading in new directions. It is possible that you have been remaining loyal to a person or a situation despite deteriorating conditions, thus what happens now or in the next few weeks acts as a happy release. On the other hand, you may be ready to make a serious commitment, which will, of course, take you into new territory. Either way, a celebration could be in order.
A launch pad.
27th July 2009 - 2nd August 2009 Boy meets girl; boy loses girl; boy finds girl. It's the old romantic formula that never fails to work. The question is: at which stage are you? With Venus and Uranus in cahoots you could be vulnerable to the lightening bolt of love or at relationship breaking point. And while romance looks to be the subject of these stars it could be other life factors that are on a cliff edge. A calculated risk is worth taking, just as long as you can say to yourself that if you do not succeed all is not lost. However, if you plan to put your last cent into an enterprise, so to speak, take a step back and wait until you have done more homework.
Suddenly this summer...
3rd August 2009 - 9th August 2009 A lunar eclipse on the axis of communications indicates the completion of a journey. Yes, you may be returning from a trip or preparing to leave home but once again the more important theme is reaching the end of a process, whether this involves paperwork and official stamps or reaching an understanding. And since communication chief, Mercury, is in harmony with Pluto there could be a very positive conclusion to a long-standing matter. A financial arrangement could be put in place that helps strengthen or straighten out your monetary position and even a financial blip - or, indeed, any other glitch - could be the route to better things.
Balancing the budget.
10th August 2009 - 16th August 2009 Start the week as you mean to go on armed with a battalion of compliments and encouraging sounds and wearing your hard hat to fend off the slings and arrows of other people's discontent! Yes, you may be able to seal a deal and put a firm date in the diary but agreements won't be reached without shedding proverbial blood, sweat and tears. As the week goes on life and good humour return with the result you could be in celebration mode by the weekend. Indeed, there's a lot to be said for bringing forward to Monday a matter you have been avoiding and using the very power of Mars and Saturn to get it done and dusted.
It's all in the timing.
17th August 2009 - 23rd August 2009 If you like adventure – and what true Archer doesn't – you'll love these stars. There's magic and mystery from Neptune, surprises from Uranus, and from Saturn a reminder that actions have consequences... If you are indeed travelling, expect some diversions and should you be looking at a blank page in your weekly planner don't expect to be chilling out on the patio, unless you're mending the roof and repairing a leaky water feature at the same time. Breakdowns of one sort or another could be on the agenda but if your wheel of life loses a spoke and sets you on a different path, sit tight and think: c'est la vie!
Change of course.
24th August 2009 - 30th August 2009 True to your fire sign nature you act first and think of the consequences later. Most of the time this technique works well since you're out of the gate and on with the job before most people have opened their eyes giving you time enough to repair any damage. However, do yourself a favour this week and don't jump in the deep end, unless you're wearing an aqualung. There are aspects of a situation you cannot see and you would be better leaving it alone. And even if someone is putting pressure on you to act, take as much time as you can before committing yourself. Endings and beginnings are redolent in these stars.
Holding your fire.
31st August 2009 - 5th September 2009 At the new moon fresh starts are made and doors open; when the moon is full frayed ends are snipped and doors are closed. Thus, on Friday it will be appropriate to complete a process, end a phase of activity. It could be that a member of the family is moving on to new pastures and goodbyes must be said or it may be that the home is to have a make-over and pieces of the past have to be removed, all of which is welcome albeit emotionally-charged. However, for some Sagittarians what ends now or in the next two weeks will amount to a life-landmark. While a post-mortem is always valuable, dwelling in the past has no purpose.
Parting is such sweet sorrow...
6th September 2009 - 13th September 2009 A love affair or a project close to your heart takes a huge step this week. Whether you require luck, money or warmth and affection there is plenty to be had, and if you can master the art of the honey'd phrase other people will be proverbial putty in your hands. Mercury's turning retrograde (7th) may slow your progress, of course, but persistence will pay off so don't allow frustration to get in the way of your ultimate target. Pluto is also on your side, shedding light on a financial matter and giving you a far better chance of resolving a monetary problem. And if you still feel a little insecure about a relationship or your financial position, affirm your self-worth and go, kick-ass!
High hopes.
14th September 2009 - 20th September 2009 One of the pluses to a week like this is that you get to know where you stand and which of the people in your life is a true soldier! There could be inconvenient glitches and out of the blue developments, some of which will work to your advantage and others perhaps not. If you receive the thumbs down to a proposal this is not the moment to argue your case: once the dust has settled you may see where you can make alterations and when the timing is right you can try again. On the other hand, there may be no disappointments to overcome but you could encounter one irritating little problem after another. As my psychology tutor said: suffer frustration.
That's life.
21st September 2009 - 27th September 2009 If only other people would see matters your way, life would be perfect. But they don't. So maybe the answer is to change your position? This would be one way of turning these stumbling blocks of aspects into stepping stones. Another would be to accept that there is nothing more you can throw at a situation, and you might as well pour your energies in other directions. There is something to be gained from returning over old ground and speaking to people with whom you have worked or been close but this process will be more about laying the foundation of new projects as opposed to rectifying that which has done its time.
Saying when.
28th September 2009 - 4th October 2009 You have a much better chance of resolving a matter that has in the recent past caused ructions. Either some new information will come to light that enables you to see everything in a different light or in the course of discussion fresh alternatives will appear. Plus, if a contentious issue arises now positive developments will come from it. By contrast, if an association has outlived its shelf life a minor difference of opinion could prove to be the final straw. October is going to be a progressive period of the year so you could see current events as a launching pad to new and better things. It's all a matter of perspective.
Alternative views.
5th October 2009 - 11th October 2009 Seizing the moment is what Sagittarians do but although this philosophy works for you nine times out of ten, there's always that one time... And this you must bear in mind this week should an exciting opportunity suddenly present itself. Other people may not appreciate your actions and a long-standing situation could fall casualty to a thoughtless move on your part. This is not the time to take short cuts nor to accomplish anything at speed: it will be easy to make mistakes and no trouble at all to offend people. You'll gain by working as a team, pooling resources and remembering that time-honoured phrase, all for one and one for all.
The considered view.
12th October 2009 - 18th October 2009 You can make a brilliant move where money and a business endeavour are concerned or you could fall flat on your face. What will make the difference is forethought. Look deep beneath the surface of offers and proposals and take a long-term view – and a conservative one at that. This is not the moment to throw money and your weight behind a proposition that has no cushion. Of course, finance may not be the focus of these extreme influences, it could be your love life and a personal matter. Nonetheless, the advice is the same, take emotions out of the equation and make sure you can accommodate the bad as well as the good.
Take advice.
19th October 2009 - 25th October 2009 It may have taken a while to feel the weight slipping off your shoulders but the wait will have made the relief all the more worthwhile. A financial worry could be resolved, progress made with a property or a welcome offer could be in the pipeline; on the other hand, you may simply be in a period of enjoyable events and upbeat exchanges. As you know, the alignments are constantly in motion with angles of harmony giving way to aspects of tension so if there is a situation that requires the best possible climate in which to deal with it, you need look no further than this week – and mid-week to be precise.
A bit of a lift.
26th October 2009 - 1st November 2009 You could be a little trigger happy so before you give someone the benefit of your undiluted honesty, hold your breath. This Mars energy is best channelled into physical pursuits and competitive activities, and even then you might end up with a bruising you didn't bargain for. Fortunately, sweet-natured Venus aligns with Jupiter, which, aside from producing a beautiful moment, could offset an otherwise rather spiky few days. On the 29th, Saturn moves into the zone of collaborations and creative endeavours all set to put an association on solid ground in the coming months. Team work will require effort but then that's what makes the result so much sweeter.
Bite your lip.
2nd November 2009 - 8th November 2009 No one is giving out awards to the most highly stressed person so do yourself a favour and take the pedal off the metal. A cluster of influences in the most sensitive area of your solar chart invites you to take time off. All right, you may not be able to head for the hills and become a recluse for the next couple of weeks but you can have a few early nights and put on the back burner some of those situations that are causing anxiety. Insights will come to you and you will gain clarity by acquiring some space and distance. Indeed, no matter how exciting or how concerning news may be, the situation or your opinions are likely to alter before the end of the month.
Take a rain-check.
9th November 2009 - 15th November 2009 This is not the time to assume that people are making idle promises: they'll expect to be taken seriously. You, on the other hand, are in a bit of a twelfth-house fog and far more likely to ignore an anomaly or underestimate the importance of a development. Therefore take your time when dealing with people in positions of power or those who could make life difficult for you. On the one hand, this is a premium period for settling a financial matter and putting a business endeavour on solid ground yet, on the other, those things that have fundamental flaws will be faltering, if not coming to a dead stop.
Appearances are deceptive.
