The Following Week Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
27th January 2003 - 2nd February 2003 The first of the year’s major connections to Neptune takes place on the 30th so any signs of weakness or any doubts that surface should be attended to immediately. Of course, Neptune is not all bad but reality does tend to be in short supply when this planet is in the ascendant. Domestic items and issues could be most vulnerable to the Neptune effect, which means you should double check household gadgets and make sure that members of the family are telling you the whole truth and nothing but the truth. By complete contrast Jupiter comes on side setting the stage for a celebration and certainly an event that gives you reason to believe in the future.
20th January 2003 - 26th January 2003 Money matters loom into view so if you have been ignoring your bank statements and over-exercising the plastic a moment of truth is on its way! Scorpio, of course, is the most resourceful of signs so between now and the end of January you will be able to find the wherewithal to rectify the situation. Indeed, with Mars energizing the financial sector of your chart you are at the beginning of a six-week period when your income could rise and moneys owed to you will be received. Then again this transformational influence might have nothing to do with money and everything to do with feelings and a relationship. In which case events around the 25th could prove earth-moving.
13th January 2003 - 19th January 2003 Full moons that straddle the communications axis tend to bring burning issues to a head so if you have been suffering in silence or endeavouring to cope with a decision all by yourself events will conspire to bring it all to the surface. The trouble is that full moons always raise the emotional temperature so the ability to discuss a situation calmly and rationally is impaired. Do your best, therefore, not to take other people's statements and actions too personally and keep plodding on until you reach an understanding. The weekend looks to be the setting for a heart-to-heart exchange and if you are travelling or taking an important step do it slowly.
3rd February 2003 - 9th February 2003 There’s nothing like a Mars-Jupiter connection to up your confidence levels and bring out the gambler in you. And on this occasion your hopes could prove justified. While I am not urging you to thrust all your savings into a risky venture I am encouraging you to believe in your abilities and not to pour cold water on other people’s ideas. Faith moves mountains and it can certainly impress the right people at the moment you need them most. Especially in regard to your career and finance this is a week of golden opportunities and even if by the weekend you have nothing to show for your hopes and efforts you will have changed the energy surrounding your affairs and therefore increased your chances of future success.
10th February 2003 - 16th February 2003 With Neptune and Jupiter in the frame it will be difficult to separate fact from fiction. And given your ever-so-slight tendency toward paranoia you must endeavour to focus on the facts at all times! Between now and the 23rd your feelings may rise and sink alternately, whether over a romance or a situation that is close to your heart. And while you may be able to do nothing about those feelings you will have control over your words and your actions. Before you issue an ultimatum make sure that you are not cutting off your nose to spite your face and if you suddenly get the desire to leave behind an old way of life in order to follow your heart, be careful not to burn all your bridges.
17th February 2003 - 23rd February 2003 This is hardly the most stable cosmic pattern, which may help with any radical moves that are already in the pipe-line but it is likely to disrupt timetables and routines. Other people could be subject to events that change their plans and in the process yours have to be put on ice. On the other hand you may find that what at one time seemed a thoroughly good idea is now not only inappropriate but deeply flawed. Whatever emerges as a bolt from the blue do your best to see the positive side to it all. Under no circumstances start rattling your sabre and burning all your bridges. There are factors that as yet you know nothing about and these will eventually throw a whole different light on the situation.
24th February 2003 - 2nd March 2003 Had enough thrills and spills? Last week’s Uranian breezes could well have caused a few ripples on the smooth pond of life but thankfully - and somewhat unusually for this duo - Saturn and Pluto bring order out of the chaos now. Sometimes when your feelings get hurt or you sense that you have been unfairly treated even when your understanding of situations proves to be incorrect you still remain stubbornly attached to your anger and outrage. However, if you do this now, you will lose a valuable opportunity to move forward and you will instead create a much greater problem for yourself. Live and let live should be your maxim now - that and the preparedness to talk things through.
3rd March 2003 - 9th March 2003 Uranus is not the most stable member of the planetary team - this planet threatens the status quo and challenges convention and in the process he invariably generates a chorus of outrage. But Uranus will no longer be such a threat to the Scorpio establishment when he moves into Pisces later in the month - in fact he will positively aid your cause. With this in mind there could one last obstacle to remove before you in turn head onward and upward. On the plus side Mercury’s connection to Uranus (4th) will help you make a radical domestic move or clear away a family misunderstanding but if you have been preventing a process or coping with a frustrating situation, block has come to bust!
10th March 2003 - 16th March 2003 There is nothing meek and mild about this week’s astrology. Indeed, if you’ve been waiting for something to shift these influences are the equivalent of a bulldozer! Venus and Jupiter spread sweetness and light and open marvellous windows of opportunity while Neptune and Pluto sweep away the old guard, first and foremost in the form of time-wasting endeavours and toxic situations. The week of the 10th is the most eventful of March and as with everything in Scorpio country events will veer to extremes - you’ll either gain a feather in your cap or you’ll realize just how different your expectations were about a situation as opposed to its reality.
5th May 2003 - 11th May 2003 At first glance the astrology is all about letting the good times roll and meeting success with your endeavours. But look a little deeper and there is also a trend for inflation. Thus, do your best not to exaggerate small crimes and misdemeanours and opt for compromise in the event of a difference of opinion. With Mars and Jupiter flanking the life-direction axis of your solar chart this could turn out to be a highly successful period of the year - you can make moves that will add to your prestige and events on the home or career front should be the cause of happiness. Keep your feet on the ground but your hopes high.
12th May 2003 - 18th May 2003 Cast your mind back to mid-November. Did an event take place then that promised to change the shape of your life? Or did you go through a period which was extremely challenging or highly rewarding? Whatever your individual scenario this week’s events may well be linked to those at the end of 2002. Relationships are illuminated by Friday’s total eclipse in Scorpio, especially if you have a birthday between the 16th and 19th of November. On the one hand this period may be one already chosen to celebrate a marriage or some other loving commitment. However, there is more than a hint of mystery to these stars and you may be amazed at what comes or goes now.
17th March 2003 - 23rd March 2003 Not all full moons are the same - what they illuminate, in which area of the solar chart they fall, makes a huge difference. On the 18th the full moon in Pisces brings into focus the area of collaboration and enables you to see whether an association is workable or where the weaknesses lie in a creative endeavour. This full moon could also indicate the end of a stage of a relationship so it would be an appropriate time to discuss where you and another person (or organization) go from here. Full moons tend to make you more emotional so until the 20th make sure that you are not exaggerating any difficulties. This week is all about the reality of situations, not an excuse to look through every glass darkly.
24th March 2003 - 30th March 2003 Jupiter begins to make a positive impression on life so during the course of the next two weeks you should begin to feel increasingly optimistic about the future. You may have good reason to feel uplifted - a brilliant career move for some Scorpios and good news after a period of worry for others. And in general there is a lighter and brighter atmosphere surrounding events. As you may know, your sign tends to fight shy of risk and change but thanks to the new placement of innovative Uranus you stand to make gains from impulse moves and by pursuing alternative avenues for your talents and affections. Indeed, a romance could be about to change your entire course.
31st March 2003 - 6th April 2003 What a little ray of sunshine this astro-scape represents. Jupiter, currently influencing career and life-direction turns direct thus getting endeavours back on track and giving you back your enthusiasm and confidence. The new moon in Aries (1st) sends out a similar message of encouragement so throw off that hair shirt you’ve been wearing for the last few weeks and take a brand new look at your world. Situations begun on a new moon should thrive and prosper so this is an especially good week for embarking on a new life-regime or starting a new job. And with Mercury entering the area of relationships (5th) someone could be about to make you a very interesting offer.
7th April 2003 - 13th April 2003 While you can have fun times under these stars by far their greater value is in helping you make money or make a name for yourself. The sun, Jupiter and Pluto are aligned in such a way that they boost your talents and bring situations to fulfilment. All right, you may not have an open field and there could be people who make life less than easy for you but overall you can go places now. Do not listen to doubters and detractors, trust your feelings and follow your instincts. By Easter weekend you’ll have made some powerful understandings and put in the kind of work that achieves results and sets you in a glowing light.
14th April 2003 - 20th April 2003 A full moon on the sensitive 6th/12th axis of your horoscope (16th) means that it’s time to put health issues under the microscope and to examine those all-important little details. Scorpios can head into denial mode rather too easily at times and this full moon will expose those areas and those situations, which cannot be ignored any longer. Aside from helping you set some wrongs to rights you will be able to put certain aspects of your life onto a more organized footing, which will free you up to concentrate on more creative or fulfilling activities. This is also a week when an account should be settled, whether this applies strictly to finances or to a relationship.
21st April 2003 - 27th April 2003 Mars’s entry into Aquarius (22nd) has its pluses and minuses. Chief of the pluses is extra energy and determination to tackle lingering projects: and since Mars will be transiting the base of your chart one of those lingering projects could be connected to the home and/or the family. Indeed, some Scorpios look to be in a for a major bout of renovation, re-furbishment or a reshuffle of some description. On the minus side, however, you may find yourself running into conflicts with family members and feeling constantly under pressure. On the 26th Mercury performs an about-turn in the relationships zone - time for a romantic re-think, perhaps or the re-ignition of an old flame.
28th April 2003 - 4th May 2003 You appear to have reached a very interesting stage in a relationship. It could be time to make a big decision about the future of the liaison or your other half may be going through some profound changes, which are impacting on the relationship. Whatever the reality it is essential that you establish the truth as opposed to the version created by your hopes and fears. A marriage made at this time will be a truly romantic and spiritual event, which is wonderful. However, a plan for the future drawn up now or a business agreement forged cannot be done in a haze of enchantment. In other words, let your heart be uplifted but your mind be as a steel rapier.
19th May 2003 - 25th May 2003 Scorpio tends to be a sign of extremes - half measures are for those without passion and commitment - but this is one of those weeks when a softly-softly approach is advised. With Mercury turning direct (20th) and the sun squaring up to Uranus (24th) information that has been concealed could be about to be revealed! And while it is always good to know the real state of play, especially regarding a financial or romantic matter, wake up calls can prove to be quite a shock to the system. With this in mind, act serene and count to ten before you make a response that you may well live to regret. And by contrast, if you achieve a breakthrough or someone gives you a wonderful surprise, thank your lucky stars!
26th May 2003 - 1st June 2003 Powerful alignments mean important developments and the configurations of the next two weeks are impressive. Relationships are once again in the spotlight and even if your romantic partnership remains on an even keel it could be that a friendship or work connection is about to experience a sea-change. Jupiter-Neptune influences are enchanting at best and disillusioning at worst, thus while some Scorpios can look forward to a period of growth and success, others may feel they have been betrayed or lost out in some way. Especially if your birthday falls in early November this is a time to count your blessings, not focus on your miseries!
2nd June 2003 - 8th June 2003 There are enough people making dramas out of minor crises without your joining in. Whenever you get the entire cast of outer-planetary characters on stage simmering situations reach boiling point and rather than talk things through people issue threats and ultimatums. But you have a chance to do something different. With Jupiter and Neptune inspiring you to take the moral and spiritual high-ground you can turn a difficulty into a triumph, and win new supporters in the process. Not that these stars are all ‘bad’: indeed such is the power generated by the astrology that the next two weeks may well produce the breakthrough you have been longing for.
9th June 2003 - 15th June 2003 Scorpios can be tough and uncompromising when necessary and this week’s events could be just the sort that inspire such qualities. It may be that an organization or an individual has been furthering their interests rather than yours, and the time has come to make a stand. On the other hand, you may have been working with a situation for a while, in the hopes that eventually your efforts would pay off, and you now realize that this is not going to be the case. Whatever the realizations of the week ahead, this is the moment for radical and expedient actions. And if something wonderful materializes now you will know that you have deserved your reward.
16th June 2003 - 22nd June 2003 With the sun and Mars each moving into a fellow water sign you, in tandem with your life, should be in perfect harmony. What, not so? Well, at least with a cosmos in equilibrium you can take steps to heal rifts and explore ways to improve those situations that are currently causing concern. Thanks to Mars you are now beginning a highly creative and fun period of 2003 and with the sun’s entry into the zone of far horizons you can also look forward to expanding your field of experience, even doing some serious travel. And with next week’s stormy astro-scape set to produce a glitch in the system, maybe you should use these delightful aspects to shore up support.
23rd June 2003 - 29th June 2003 If you like drama - and what Scorpio doesn’t! - you’ll love this week. Events already penned in your diary are likely to turn out very differently from expectations and other people could make a huge impact on your future plans. The one area you need free of drama, however, is finances. Remain cool and focused in any monetary negotiation and in the event of a difference of opinion avoid fighting fire with fire. By contrast if you receive a windfall or a transaction goes through to your advantage be magnanimous and circumspect in victory. Under these stars there are no half-way measures - things are either over-the-moon wonderful or dreary beyond belief.
30th June 2003 - 6th July 2003 Harmony is not always so easy to come by as it is at present, so rather than seek out problems or worry that things are too good to be true, just enjoy this moment in the sun. Then again, if life has presented you with what you consider to be a bouquet of barbed wire, perhaps you need to look behind the appearance of things. You are being encouraged to broaden your view, whether you take the opportunity to travel or make contact with people of different cultures and perspectives, so if a situation comes to a halt now rather than seek to replace what is gone, you should explore what other options are available to you. This is a time of adventure.
7th July 2003 - 13th July 2003 I wouldn’t normally rave about a Venus-Saturn conjunction but since this is taking place in your fellow water sign, Cancer, and is relieved by a gentle link to Mars in another water sign, Pisces, the chances are that something positive will come out of any moment of truth. This is an excellent period in which to sign a contract or make some other kind of binding decision. Love, beauty and pleasure - the stuff of Venus - are brought into reality by Saturn. It is also an appropriate moment to embark on a journey that will take you far, whether this implies distance in the terrestrial or metaphorical sense. Be far-sighted and courageous, loving and non-judgmental.
14th July 2003 - 20th July 2003 Being led astray is not a practice Scorpios follow as a rule but even super-sleuth you can allow your emotions and your opinions to cloud your judgment on occasion and this you must avoid at all costs this week. There is a general trend for disinformation and it will be all too easy for you to overlook the small print in a document. And if you are already nurturing doubts about a person or an organization it won’t be hard to let your fears run away with you. That aside the week ahead has plenty to recommend it. Gatherings produce people of interests and generate ideas and opportunities for the future, and in some cases a new romance is sparked.
21st July 2003 - 27th July 2003 Knowing when to make your move is half the battle so if you are poised, like an anxious swimmer on the edge of the pool, this is the time to jump in. Indeed, the next eight weeks give you more than one chance to make a splash, and certainly to get your life headed in the right direction. A brilliant alignment involving Pluto and Jupiter could lead to increase and advancement, and while a brilliant career break or a promotion may be in store for some Scorpios for others these planets announce a moment in the sun. Scorpio is a cautious and analytical sign, which sometimes prevents you from boarding a boat of opportunity. Not so this time, eh?
28th July 2003 - 3rd August 2003 With Mars turning retrograde on the 29th this is not the moment to storm into action, all guns blazing, unless you are one hundred percent certain that your actions are justified and that you are not in danger of shooting yourself in the foot. Indeed, this is the beginning of a period of some weeks during which you need to be excessively cautious with your statements and actions. There is some information to come out that could well change your opinion on a matter and what you currently feel are you goals and loyalties could also change. This is not so much a challenging week as one in which the ground beneath you suddenly feels less rock hard.
4th August 2003 - 10th August 2003 You are in the limelight and certainly taking charge and while the overall trend is for successful outcomes and happy events, there is an element of the unusual and the unexpected to contend with. It may be that someone has been waiting to spring a wonderful surprise on you or that after a time of waiting your hopes are finally fulfilled but to be on the safe side, you should have a contingency plan up your sleeve, especially on the 5th and 6th. This aside, August marks the beginning of an upwardly mobile and pleasure-oriented few weeks. Therefore soft-pedal those fears and anxieties, and put on your smiley face.
11th August 2003 - 17th August 2003 Between now and the end of next week a cycle of experience is drawing to a close. This effect may be noticeable in a small way - the end of a holiday, perhaps, - on the other hand a job could be finishing or some other long-term fixture of your life could be being phased out. And while in some cases this could be an emotional and sensitive time, for many Scorpios it is a period of celebration and achievement. Letting go is never an easy task for your sign but you will gain much by moving away from old thought patterns now and embracing new ideas and opportunities. And if a relationship falls by the wayside now, feel liberated not depleted.
18th August 2003 - 24th August 2003 Quite the most impressive alignment presides over your affairs this week, so if you have been toying with the idea of making a major life change the green light is on. Likewise if you’ve been wondering when a situation would take off or be resolved the chances are it will do so before the end of August. And in general, remaining upbeat will help you make the most of these inspiring and expansive trends. What you should also be prepared for is the unusual and surprising way in which events come about. People will not behave in a predictable fashion now and your long established opinions could change overnight.
25th August 2003 - 31st August 2003 August goes out on a high note, if a rather incendiary one. Saturday’s Jupiter-Uranus opposition is just the kind of aspect that generates sparks and sparkle, but there is no guarantee whether you’ll be delighted with the fireworks or burned by them! Friendships and collaborations are the most vulnerable to sudden and unexpected developments but as a general rule of thumb you should handle people with asbestos gloves this week. On the other hand, a romance could flare up out of nowhere: likewise an offer or opportunity could appear out of the blue. I guess it’s a case of being prepared for everything and anything.
1st September 2003 - 7th September 2003 You may be a strong and independent spirit but this does not mean that you would not benefit from other people’s presence and input. At this point in the year friends and colleagues play an important role in your life and your affairs, and while you may discover just who is a real friend and supporter and who is an adversary, the message being brought home to you is that other people count. While there is a strongly competitive feel to the astrology now, helping you focus your energies and stand up to the test, it is not a time for unilateral action or for taking the spotlight alone - think team spirit.
8th September 2003 - 14th September 2003 With ruler, Pluto, in the ascendant this week, events will surely bring out the best and worst in Scorpio. The best means that your experience will take you on to new heights of happiness and success, and win you new admirers and supporters, but the worst infers that you will embark on a path that is highly self-destructive. Especially between the 9th and 13th you need to think carefully before cutting someone out of your life or taking an action that could be perceived as vengeful. One the dust has settled you will see the situation somewhat differently and you should be able to use the events to reorient yourself, if not re-launch a beached project or association.
15th September 2003 - 21st September 2003 Compared to last week’s astro-scape this one is a piece of cake. At the very least you have a breathing space in which to re-orient yourself and re-frame an event but at best you could discover that what seemed such a problem a few days ago is entirely manageable. Mercury has been in backwards mode for the past three weeks so there has been a trend for delays and mis-communications but on Saturday this planet rights itself thereby helping you to get from A to B in a straight line. Indeed, your focus now should be on re-launching a plan and reconnecting with people who you have not seen for some time.
22nd September 2003 - 28th September 2003 The autumn equinox (23rd) marks the beginning of a period when your inner world - your emotions, your psyche and things of a spiritual nature - take precedence. The reason I mention this is that it will help you pace yourself better and encourage you to see when you are allowing situations to balloon out of proportion. The weekend of the 27th is a case in point: a small incident could seem much bigger than it is and rather than create a three-act drama about it, you should take practical and expedient steps. This is a period when information is coming to light and people are reacting in ways you had not anticipated. Think beautiful thoughts.
29th September 2003 - 5th October 2003 These gentle astrological breezes can be enjoyed simply for themselves or they can be capitalized upon. You are renowned for your ability to move in mysterious ways and to keep your feelings and plans to yourself, but now you have the equivalent of an invisible helmet with which to disguise your moves and motives. With this in mind, a matter that has been causing you some concern goes some way to being resolved this week and there could be some extraordinary synchronicities and break-throughs. And in a few short weeks what is currently bubbling gently on the back burner will have been brought nicely to the boil.
6th October 2003 - 12th October 2003 The appearance of Venus in your sign (9th) should be greeted with pleasure: between now and the end of
the month is one of the most auspicious periods of the year. Venus adds a charm particle or two to your
endeavours and where a relationship is concerned, she could prove pure magic. Sometimes you need
encouragement to reveal your talents and feelings, and although I cannot promise success across the
board, you now have a seriously good chance of achieving a much-desired goal. Do not let a minor
set-back or a criticism dampen your enthusiasm or undermine your confidence - it’s persistence and heart
that get you places, not tantrums and accusations.
13th October 2003 - 19th October 2003 Life is made up of contrasts and contradictions, and no more so than this week. It may be that one endeavour is giving you the thumbs up while something else is heading down the pan and although you cannot make light of a serious problem, a more positive attitude could work wonders all round. Especially over the weekend, Neptune’s presence lends a mystical and loving note to proceedings, yet there is always a danger sign with this ethereal planet, in that what you see is not necessarily what you get and what people say is not always what they mean. Not for the first time you are being reminded to keep your feet on the ground but your hopes high.
20th October 2003 - 26th October 2003 With the sun arriving in your sign on the 23rd you are effectively emerging out of the woods. Whether you have just experienced a vague sense of being on hold or whether you have been unable to get a grip on situations you now have the wherewithal to decide and conquer! Indeed, the coming week should see you succeeding in your endeavours and enjoying the limelight. The weekend of the 25th may represent the culmination of months of hard work and patience and even if you have nothing penned in your diary this period could mark a significant turning point. The only factor you have to watch is Neptune-shaped - do not become blind to reality.
27th October 2003 - 2nd November 2003 Just before Venus leaves your sign she makes an exciting, if rather unsettling, contact to iconoclastic Uranus. And while this contact will affect all Scorpios to some degree, if you have a birthday at the end of the sign - between the 19th and 24th November - the chances of an unusual, ground-breaking development are extremely high. This would be a perfect opportunity to follow your heart, regardless of other people’s opinions, and while I am not encouraging you to be deliberately hurtful to anyone who may love or rely upon you, neither can you continue to put your life on hold, just for the sake of appearances. These influences inspire sudden, passionate and unexpected actions.
3rd November 2003 - 9th November 2003 You may not be able to see the eclipsed full moon of the 9th but if you can, you should take the time to gaze long and hard upon its face. This eclipse, falling as it does across the relationship axis, inspires understandings about the nature and purpose of partnership: it is both a time of coming together and of separation. Put another way, while some Scorpios will feel at one with another person now and ready to make a long-term commitment, others will be debating whether to go it alone. There is a make or break feel to this week’s astrology, whether this applies strictly to a relationship or the impact of certain individuals and their actions on your life.
10th November 2003 - 16th November 2003 November the 5th, Bonfire Night, may be behind us but no one seems to have informed the planets: they are still in explosive mode, whether they are doing you some enormous favours by getting an endeavour off the ground or whether they are reducing a situation to ashes. On the one hand these influences will get you moving and they will alert you to any potential danger - especially of a financial nature - but on the other, you will have little time to consider your options. You’ll have to think on your feet. There could be an element of fate and luck operating in your life at present, so while you cannot abdicate responsibility for your actions, divine inspiration is a force to be reckoned with.
17th November 2003 - 23rd November 2003 Money may be the root of all evil but it is certainly the root of most of this fortnight’s ups and downs. The solar eclipse of the 23rd signals a new cycle for your financial affairs and it may also provide a boost to your ego. However, if you have overextended yourself or some aspect of your financial planning is askew, developments over the next two weeks should reveal the error of your ways! This is a time to go about your business cautiously and with the awareness that actions performed on the spur of the moment can have powerful and long-lasting consequences. Believe the best of people, but have a back up plan, just in case!
24th November 2003 - 30th November 2003 Making a fresh start is etched in these stars, but like all new beginnings it is preceded by an ending. Closure and completion has been a major theme this November so already you may have ended a commitment or sensed that a cycle is over, but if not, this week’s Plutonic influences could inspire such events. This is an appropriate moment to end an old financial order and indeed to offload those things that are draining your resources, but rather than dwell on what is past, you should be looking at what new avenues could now open up for you. Clearly, this is not going to be an easy few days but events will pave the way for a richer tomorrow.
1st December 2003 - 7th December 2003 If money is causing you the odd headache or two at the moment, blame it on Saturn or poor management! In truth any monetary blip is enabling you to set your finances on a more stable footing and to eliminate habits and commitments that drain your resources. Nevertheless, this is not a week in which to assume that employers will hand over large sums of cash or that bank managers will fall over themselves trying to lend you money. You’ll have to have sound plans to back up any requests and you will face stern tests of your mettle. And much the same advice could apply to other aspects of life, most specifically a relationship.
8th December 2003 - 14th December 2003 Any signs of Christmas cheer are missing from this astro-scape, but once you have dealt with the harsh realities and weighty issues of the coming week, the fun can begin. Finances are top of the list of any major developments, and this is both a time when huge gains can be made and some mistakes incurred. Impulse purchases are to be avoided and you must think long and hard before you act out of pique or in revenge. For some Scorpios this period represents the culmination of many months of preparation and hard work but for others what emerges out of the blue now will have been bubbling under the surface for some while. Caution before action, eh!
15th December 2003 - 21st December 2003 It could be the time of year, the weather! or it could be a retrograde Mercury! When you are getting nowhere fast and no one is singing from the same carol sheet this planet of communication is invariably to blame. The upside to this cosmic state of things is that you can put some paperwork on hold and many people will be happy to wait until the second week in January before reaching a decision. That said, it will also soothe your fevered brow to build a lot more time into your travel plans and to be prepared for people to make mistakes and generally lose the plot.
22nd December 2003 - 28th December 2003 Trips into the past dominate this Christmas’s agenda - a theme that could be reflected by your physically visiting people and places not seen for some while or through events that put you in touch with ancient history. Aside from the 22nd, what comes to light during this fortnight will warm your heart and even on those aforementioned dates information gleaned and events that happen will help you see the reality of situations, which can only be helpful in the long run. As for Christmas itself, this promises to be one of the more magical and spiritual occasions for some years: truly a time when the angels sing.
29th December 2003 - 4th January 2004 The chances are you have people to see and places to go, but with Saturn and Neptune in control you should be prepared for long and convoluted journeys. And while this trend may well apply solely to travel and transportation, it could also manifest as a complex transition - a journey in consciousness, in other words. It may also take until the 14th before you receive an answer to a question posed some weeks ago or before you get to see what has been cooking behind the scenes, in which case you will also discover that this week will have played a crucial part in the outcome. Lose no time in checking that all your ducks are in a row.
5th January 2004 - 11th January 2004 While Mercury gets back on track on Tuesday, easing the wheels of commerce and helping you untangle any communication knots, Wednesday’s full moon could make negotiations somewhat convoluted and protracted. Ideally, you should aim to deal with the most pressing issues on the 6th then wait until Friday before embarking on journeys and discussions. However, since the best laid plans of mice and astrologers tend to get upended by the cosmic joker what you may have to do instead is be the voice of reason amid a chorus of confusion and dissension.
12th January 2004 - 18th January 2004 A week with a difference. Uranus is not always up to mischief but this planet has a way of making you see a situation in a very different light. Thus, if you have been wearing rose-coloured glasses or determinedly heading in an inappropriate direction your eyes are about to be opened. On the one hand, this is a week when you can bring a dormant talent or undisclosed feeling to life but on the other, if someone has been concealing information or a situation has been hanging on by a mere thread, reality must be faced.
19th January 2004 - 25th January 2004 The 21st’s new moon not only ushers in the Chinese New Year but also announces the beginning of a new twelve-month cycle for you. Laying foundations is the theme of the next few weeks, whether you do so in regard to finding a new home or welcoming new people into the family. On the other hand, your career could be the source of the new and the different. But like all fresh starts, loose ends have first to be nipped and tucked and Saturn’s participation in events may serve that very purpose. If between now and the end of the month you are faced with a departure of any description, see it as the most positive of developments.
26th January 2004 - 1st February 2004 Love, money and communications are all in the mix this week and while this could manifest as the exchange of gifts or beautiful thoughts between you and a loved one, finances may become a source of conflict in a relationship. Giving without expecting anything in return is a noble principle but if you are the one doing all the giving eventually your generosity will wear thin. Whatever crunch point is reached this week, do your best to deal with it in a calm and loving manner - that way you may still have a relationship at the end of it! - but if what emerges proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are being used and abused, vote with your feet.
2nd February 2004 - 8th February 2004 You get a full dose of Neptune this week, which may prove utterly uplifting or somewhat frustrating - this planet has a way with smoke and mirrors! Technically, it is the roots of life that are subject to Neptunian mysteriousness, so to be on the safe side you should make sure everything in the domestic arena, if not beyond it, is watertight. Now, this may translate as a weakness in a contract, an arrangement or an alliance; on the other hand, there could be flaws in appliances and material structures. Leaks of any description require attention before they turn into major cascades!
9th February 2004 - 15th February 2004 Neptune and Saturn play an equal role in events this week, so it could be a case of going from the sublime to the ridiculous. While Neptune creates magical atmospheres, which tend to blind us to the truth, Saturn makes everything so real that you forget the importance and existence of magic. Clearly finding the balance between these two extremes is the way to go now, so if someone sweeps you off your feet, you should enjoy the experience for what it is - you must live the moment fully - but if someone pulls the rug out from beneath your feet, be sure you have a cushion to soften the landing!
16th February 2004 - 22nd February 2004 Uranus has just begun a long transit of the fifth house - the zone of creativity and heart-opening experiences - so it may take some time before you undergo an event of a life-changing nature. However, especially if you have a 24th-27th October birthday such an event could be about to take place. Breaking new ground is one way to interpret this week’s impressive alignments, getting you out of a rut could be another. And although there may be some discomfort to the experience you should focus on where events will take you, not what you’re leaving behind. Don’t be afraid to make waves or to ride the big one!
23rd February 2004 - 29th February 2004 Mars, the planet of action and desires, has been transiting the area of love and relating since early February so already your love-life may have seen some serious action. Now Mars angles nebulous Neptune, setting the scene for a magical moment or an extremely strange development. You are by nature a wary individual so it is unlikely that someone you love or with whom you share financial and professional interests could deceive you, nonetheless, if you have been putting a positive spin on a situation this is the time to look at it warts and all. Magic you can leave to the stars, deception and deviousness require the Scorpio third degree.
1st March 2004 - 7th March 2004 Are we having fun yet? With jolly Jupiter in charge nothing exceeds like excess! Creative endeavours are under brilliant stars enabling you to bring great things into being and to enjoy life any which way you choose. Is there a problem? Well, sometimes Jupiter inflates a difficulty and brings out the megalomaniac-within so there is a chance an event or an association will go up in smoke but with so many dreary influences to cope with since the start of the year it’s about time we found our funny bones and replenished our store of optimism. Be hopeful, be happy and don’t make mountains out of molehills.
8th March 2004 - 14th March 2004 Pluto is arguably the most powerful planet of all. Certainly, its themes of elimination and transformation are anything but lightweight, and it is these themes that are redolent in the astrology this week. You are by nature an extremist, however, you need to fight your basic instincts now and allow diplomacy and compassion to rule the day. The seeds of this week’s events lie deep in the past, and you may indeed have to plumb the depths to find them. Likewise, what may seem an insignificant meeting or dialogue could in fact be the overture to something far greater. Under these stars take nothing and no one for granted.
15th March 2004 - 21st March 2004 The area of relationships is currently basking under the rays of Venus so, technically, you cannot blame your stars if you’re feeling lonely, unsupported and somewhat cynical about love. However, even Venus cannot set a relationship to rights if love has truly flown, and she cannot bring the right person to your side if he or she is not ready. This having been said, there is much you can do to heal a rift now and, by making an effort to meet new people or bring fresh influences to bear on an established relationship you can jump-start your love life. And even though the old adage maintains you can’t have money and love, under these stars you just might!
22nd March 2004 - 28th March 2004 These are not the alignments under which to push anything or anyone to the edge. Fragile alliances will snap under the pressure and situations that are hanging on by a thread will fall apart at the seams. However, if you have been going along the same old dreary path with someone or something, a radical change of input and direction could make all the difference, and you could have a brilliant success story on your hands. I wouldn’t take an undue risk with life, limb and your stock account now, but I would invest time, energy and creativity in a situation that was once throbbing with life and potential. It’s a question of courage and timing.
29th March 2004 - 4th April 2004 Hopefully, since mid-March Venus’ transit of the seventh house has brought people into your life who will help and support you, and you have seen general improvements in your relationships. However, if the reverse is the case, communication chief, Mercury, now comes on side, encouraging discussions and offers from others. In many ways, this is a time when you should stand back in order for organizations and individuals to come to the table: likewise, if you have been making the running in a romance or trying to get someone to listen to you, this is the moment to stop and wait and see what your opposite number is prepared to do to foster the association.
5th April 2004 - 11th April 2004 First thing on Monday, the 5th, utter your new mantra - nothing stays the same for ever. This will keep you on the straight and narrow throughout an Easter when what you believed was unchanging and unchangeable does just that - change! Now, before you press the panic button let me assure you that what comes or goes during the next seven days will add to the quality and purpose of your life, not detract from it, and regardless of the way the old goes out and the new comes in you must continue to believe that. You have a tendency to go all out for your beliefs and needs but extremes of any sort - financial, emotional, whatever - are to be avoided now. The key to success and happiness lies in moderation.
12th April 2004 - 18th April 2004 As a sign of extremes, you probably don’t need me to tell you about extravagant gestures, but, unless you are absolutely sure of your spending power and/or the depth of feeling someone has for you, you may need to think twice before you go into overdraft! Nevertheless, these are not dire warnings so much as an effort to keep you in balance. And after last week’s somewhat stormy astro-scape gaining a sense of proportion could be this week’s most important task. In a few short days, a solar eclipse augurs a change in your life-style and routine - a reason, perhaps, to tie up some loose ends now and prepare the ground.
19th April 2004 - 25th April 2004 As Pluto’s child you are accustomed to huge peaks and troughs in life - indeed, they make you the resourceful and fascinating person you are - nevertheless, it’s always good to know when situations could stand or fall depending on your actions. And this is just such a time. If someone rattles his or her sabre now, avoid retaliating until you know the whole story. Likewise, if you feel you have run out of time and must do something -anything! - hold back. Not only is this astro-scape the sort that inspires great and good deeds but it also generates hostilities. Whether you are faced with a life-enhancing offer or event now or whether you feel angered and frustrated, be gracious and accepting. That way you will emerge smelling like a rose.
26th April 2004 - 2nd May 2004 Sun-Jupiter angles are always good news, but especially when they are focused on relationships. A professional or romantic association that has been through troubled times could be mended now, and it will certainly do no harm to try to repair a damaged alliance under these stars. For some Scorpios, marriage or a meeting with someone special is on the cards, while for others, an individual or organization could now make a move in your direction. Your only astrological problem comes in the form of Pluto, who could make you too proud to admit a mistake or somewhat reluctant to live and let live. Overcome your hostility and your reservations: you’ll be oh so glad you did.
3rd May 2004 - 9th May 2004 Cast your mind back to the end of last year. Did something begin then, or did events change some aspect of your existence? If so, then you are about to see what such events have led to. There is a connection between the 4th May’s lunar eclipse in your sign and the preceding one on 8th November, and a sea change in a relationship, or your love life, looks to be the likely outcome. Certainly, relationships are a priority at the moment, whether you are poised to walk down the aisle or whether you sense you have reached the end of the line with a friend, associate or partner. However, since mysterious Neptune is also in the mix, you will need to establish whether you are responding to the voice of your hopes and fears, or divine truth.
10th May 2004 - 16th May 2004 This continues to be an important period for relationships in general and your love life in particular. Last week’s lunar eclipse may have changed the nature of a relationship, whether this brought you closer to another person or caused a rupture, and to a certain extent this trend has not disappeared. Therefore, you should continue to handle people with great care, and to pay attention to the subtle signals others may be giving off. Fortunately, communicative Mercury enters the relationship zone on Sunday, encouraging partners and associates to share their thoughts with you, and setting the stage for a merger or re-connection.
17th May 2004 - 23rd May 2004 Wednesday’s new moon in the zone of love and relating, begins a new cycle for relationships of all kinds. For some Scorpios a contract is on its way while for others a difficult patch for a working or romantic partnership is at an end. While you may prefer to be the one in control, this is a time when other people get to call the shots and inform you of their wants, needs and intentions. Indeed, it would not be in your best interests to ignore a request or an offer now. There is a flavour of the unusual and the unexpected in these stars, so at the very least a change of tactic regarding a relationship or financial matter could prove highly beneficial. Not for the first time are you being reminded that the old ways are not necessarily the best ways.
24th May 2004 - 31st May 2004 I wouldn’t interpret this week’s stars as fun on sticks, but I do believe they will resolve a problem and encourage you to see where your trust and your energies have been misplaced. Mars is currently urging you to broaden your horizons, whether you do so in the sense of travelling or entering new emotional or professional territory; now this go-getting planet connects with Old Sobersides, Saturn, indicating you may have overestimated your abilities, or underestimated a competitor. Whatever represents a stone in your shoe should not be unceremoniously dumped, but examined to discover the lesson it represents. And if your progress is suddenly halted, do not waste time complaining but make the most of where you’re at and who you’re with.
31st May 2004 - 6th June 2004 Jupiter usually breeds joy and celebration, as events of the week ahead may well reveal, however, Pluto is an altogether darker, more complex influence, and this planet is also on our menu this week. Technically, it is the area of finances that is the focus for the current ups and downs, making this a period to invest heavily in your future and to get rid of burdens and commitments that are draining your resources. Relationships could also be part of the Jupiter-Pluto equation, setting the stage for a period when romantic contracts are struck and other alliances put to the test. Is there any point in my advising you to act in moderation? Probably not, but you could at least put on a parachute before you make a leap of faith!
7th June 2004 - 13th June 2004 In an astrological climate like this you can uncover great truths - some of them about yourself. You get to know what you’re made of and the lengths you are prepared to go for someone or something. For some Scorpios the big issue now revolves around finances while for others it is an affair of the heart: either way the events of this week propel you to a brink of sorts. This would be an appropriate time to recognize that you cannot continue to throw good money after bad, and also an ideal moment to nail your colours to the mast as far as a relationship or an enterprise is concerned. There are no half-way measures to be taken, and no offers, deeds or statements accepted that do not ring of the truth.
14th June 2004 - 20th June 2004 With Pluto as your ruling planet, you know all about life’s peaks and troughs, and you may have been experiencing one of those roller-coaster rides during the past few weeks. Friday marks the end of this season of ups and downs, and hopefully it will find you a wiser and richer person. And I choose my words carefully! The area of finances has been in the frame since late May, providing you with opportunities to add to your financial lot, and to make agreements and settlements. There is also a chance, however, that you are experiencing something of a cash-flow crisis, in which case the time to shed a monetary commitment has come. Endings and beginnings are writ in these stars, and not only in regard to finances.
21st June 2004 - 27th June 2004 You have reached the end of an intense and demanding few weeks, so the prospect of some travel and the widening of your horizons in other ways should be welcome indeed. Getting away from it all is the theme of the week - that, and getting over disappointments and frustrations. I am not suggesting that you head into denial mode and paper over events that have left their mark, but I am urging you to put your energies into directions that will lift your spirits and lead to future happiness and success. Alternatives need to be found now, whether you do indeed visit new places and mix with new people, or whether you attack an old situation with a set of new strategies. Changing your perspective is the beginning of a change for the better.
28th June 2004 - 4th July 2004 The sun’s passage through the ninth house of far horizons will encourage you to look beyond the end of your nose for success and happiness. For some Scorpios this means that you need to look outside home territory to further your career ambitions while others will be inspired to make life changes because of a trip abroad, or to a distant place. Indeed, this is an extremely go-ahead period of the year, whether you are following your itchy feet and taking off on holiday or whether you are marketing your talents to good effect. Do I have a problem with this week’s stars? Only that Friday’s full moon could produce an obstacle to your progress and delay your success story. Then again, once you reach your destination your happiness will be all the sweeter.
5th July 2004 - 11th July 2004 Travel and communications are under Saturn this week, which means getting from A to B will take time and you may not be thrilled and delighted with everything that you meet along the way. The one plus about Saturn is that you get a solid result - no ifs, ands and maybes. Legal matters require care this week: this is not the time to flout the rules or believe that individuals or organizations do not mean what they say. Then again, if you’ve been hoping to sign a contract or get someone’s commitment to you, this is the ideal set of stars under which such things happen. Try not to get frustrated with people or situations - any hold up or blockage is there for a reason, as you will surely discover a little further down the line.
12th July 2004 - 18th July 2004 Going the distance is this week’s theme - something you can do by travelling to a far off place or making a move that proves you have what it takes. Yet making any kind of move when Neptune is in charge could prove fraught with complications: messages could go astray, people could fail to show up and in general a haze descends over travel and communications. Your best bet is to make sure everyone involved in an event is on the same page - and at the start of the week - and have a back-up plan, should the weather or anything totally beyond your control interferes with arrangements. Nonetheless, there is a sense of all’s-well-that-ends-well here.
19th July 2004 - 25th July 2004 Did anyone ever tell you to take a step back? Well, if they haven’t, I’m about to urge you to do so. Pluto and Jupiter carry equal weight this week, and these two planets turn rumbling volcanoes into full blown eruptions! If you have been nurturing passionate feelings about someone, you may no longer be able to hold them back, and if you have been tolerating an unacceptable situation, you may no longer be able to do so. In a way, the maxim, it’s better out than in, applies now, yet just how a feeling or a truth emerges is crucial. Whether you are ready to make an all or nothing move, or whether you are on the receiving end of a fait accompli, take your time and think of the repercussions.
26th July 2004 - 1st August 2004 Scorpio is not renowned for its trailblazing nature: you are a strategist and prefer to take your time with the big decisions of life - if not the small ones too - but you have reached a point where continuing on in the same rut is not in your best interests: likewise bottling up your feelings is not a practice than can go on ad infinitum. At best this is a week when your hard work is rewarded: you can take a break or make a move that has been in the pipeline for some time. But, on the downside, simmering resentments and issues that have been percolating on the back burner now bubble up to the surface. Do your best to handle developments with graciousness and good cheer - you want to emerge from situations smelling like a rose!
2nd August 2004 - 8th August 2004 As the zodiac’s sleuth your talent for intrigue and inquisition will be put to good use this week. Perhaps there is already a mystery in your life, in which case it may become even deeper now; on the other hand, you may suddenly find that a situation is not adding up. There is a general trend for dis-information at the moment, so if someone makes a false statement, it is not necessarily intentional, and if a flaw or a leak is discovered, its origins will not be easy to locate! One of the pluses to a surfeit of Neptune, however, is that compassion is in greater supply, so that hostilities can be diffused and people are far more likely to gloss over a crime or misdemeanour. And if you’re in the mood for romance, expect to be enchanted.
9th August 2004 - 15th August 2004 You may be one of the most capable and achievement-oriented signs of the zodiac but even you occasionally come up against a force stronger than yourself. Now, it may be that someone is standing in your way at the moment or that a situation appears to be mysteriously slipping through your fingers, however, putting up resistance is not the way forward, you should instead acquiesce. This is a time of transition - the end of the story has not yet been reached. If you keep this thought at the back of your mind, it will help you have a more philosophical attitude to the twists and turns of events. By contrast, Venus and the sun are perfectly placed to preside over a happy event.
16th August 2004 - 22nd August 2004 The 16th's new moon sets the tone for the week a head - a week of new beginnings. Thus, you will be totally in synch with your stars if you are poised to take on a new challenge or change your space - whether in the literal or metaphorical sense. On the other hand, if your diary is empty and you were expecting a week of routine routine - prepare to be, like the proverbial martini, shaken and stirred. Other people will not be in the mood to tow the line now: if someone has been sitting on a volcano of emotions or suppressing his/her ideas these alignments will light the touch paper, so to speak. While great things can come into being now, anything already in a fragile condition may not withstand the pressure.
23rd August 2004 - 29th August 2004 As one season gives way to another, it seems you too are leaving behind a phase of your life and preparing to begin a new one. In many ways, this last week of August is a time of transition: something is over but you are not yet quite ready to turn a new page, and you may feel somewhat apprehensive. Certainly, the week ahead is not without its surprises - events happen suddenly and you may appear to have little control of them - yet if you are prepared to head in a new direction and remain open to new ideas, this could be a very exciting and advantageous period of the year. Especially during the weekend, throw away the rule book and don't be phased by anyone or anything.
30th August 2004 - 5th September 2004 With both Pluto and Mercury turning direct this week, information is beginning to emerge that enables you to see what is really going on. People reveal their true colours in an astro-climate like this, and information that has been held up or mis-directed finds its way home. Likewise, if you have been avoiding telling someone the truth or you have been hoping a situation would resolve itself without any input from you, the time for action has come. Indeed, between now and 17th September a series of planetary aspects may well change the current status quo in a relationship or some other long-standing feature of your life, therefore, have the courage of your convictions and faith in the divine plan.
6th September 2004 - 12th September 2004 You of all the signs love uncovering the truth, and you can dig away all you like this week, because you could well find buried treasure. And speaking of treasure! the current alignments are focused on the zone of money and self-worth, so the opportunities to add to your stock are great indeed. However, so too are the chances that you will make something of a loss. Pluto is like that - you're either up or down, in the money, or out of it. Therefore, before you make a radical move based on new information be sure you can deal with a negative result. Life is at extremes at the moment and, whether for love, money or a principle, actions will have major and far-reaching consequences.
13th September 2004 - 19th September 2004 Have you ever jumped to a conclusion, ever gone on the attack without first mounting a fact-finding mission? If the answer is yes on both counts, you'll probably remember the bruising you got, and you won't want to go there again, will you! This week's astrology amounts to a recipe for wrong-footing it, so keep the reins on your temper and don't judge anyone or anything too hastily. A friendship or collaboration could be the flashpoint for these dynamic and destabilizing alignments: for some Scorpios, an association or endeavour will suddenly take off, while for others, a breakdown in communications could lead to an ending, albeit a temporary one. Take your time, whatever the provocation.
20th September 2004 - 26th September 2004 Since late August the cosmos has been turning and churning, but this week sees something of a sea-change. Some new information could come to light that changes the direction in which a situation was headed and, if you have been waiting for someone to make a move - or trying to reach a decision yourself - these influences will more than help. Pluto and Jupiter are big players at the moment, which means that actions have big consequences: you can succeed brilliantly at this time, or you may discover that you have bitten off more than you can chew. And this trend is particularly relevant to finances or your love-life.
27th September 2004 - 3rd October 2004 A quartet of planets is now residing in the subterranean twelfth house, so you could feel as though you are in limbo-land. If so, make the most of any free time by resting or researching. It may also be that the lack of activity is a bit of a blind, by which I mean that movement is going on behind the scenes, therefore try not to become too paranoid or stressed if a situation appears to have stalled or someone is ignoring you. Good things are taking place under wraps, although it may take some months for them to be revealed. Health is also under the astro-microscope at present, and steps taken now to right a wrong or improve your overall fitness will pay off handsomely a little further down the line.
4th October 2004 - 10th October 2004 If you want to spice up a stale relationship or bring a sparkle to a lackslustre endeavour, here come Venus and Uranus to your aid. This exciting two-some inspires the unusual and the unexpected, especially in regard to romance and creative projects. Don't be afraid to offer up your ideas, no matter how zany or unconventional they may be, because this will change the nature of a relationship and make others look at you in a new light. If, however, a situation suddenly takes a turn you had not expected, try not to resist but remain open to the new possibilities such events may inspire. This astro-scape is all about the new and the different - baggage is not included!
11th October 2004 - 17th October 2004 On the surface, this may seem to be an ordinary kind of week but according to your chart great activity is going on behind the scenes. You yourself could be preparing for a future event; on the other hand, other people could be planning a surprise for you - something you will discover some weeks or months down the line. Certainly, the appearance of situations belies their true nature. But before your paranoia runs away with you, what you should do for now is make a note of any anomalies, rather than confront someone with your observations. Likewise, if you sense changes in your own feelings about a person or a situation, wait a little longer before acting on them.
18th October 2004 - 24th October 2004 The planets aren't rolling out the red carpet and giving you a party this week: they're pointing out your failings and showing you where you need to make cut-backs. But, if this sounds too dreary for words, there is a certain virtue, even a kind of pleasure, in dealing with a difficulty or completing an arduous task. So, this is my advice: forget all about letting your hair down, don't wait for the praise and the applause: do the job well, act with integrity, and the time for the popping of champagne corks will come before you know it. And if you are on the receiving end of a happy event, be careful with whom you share your joy - some people will not be so delighted...
25th October 2004 - 31st October 2004 Eclipsed full moons have a way of bringing suppressed feelings and needs to the surface: they also illuminate a situation in a way that makes you see it in a new light. Therefore, do not be surprised if you suddenly reach a decision now - probably about a relationship - or someone makes a move that changes the direction in which a relationship or an endeavour was heading. In this kind of astrology situations reach crunch point and people feel a sense of now-or-never, however, my advice is to avoid giving an ultimatum at this point or being held ransom to one - note the signs and your feelings but wait until your emotions have settled down and you can act with clarity.
1st November 2004 - 7th November 2004 Avoid leaping to conclusions now. When Neptune is in charge even the most straight-forward event turns into an episode from the Twilight Zone. While anything of a spiritual or romantic nature thrives in this kind of climate, trying to make a solid agreement with anyone or get a sensible answer is a near impossible task. You may also find that machinery has a life all of its own now. Do your best to see the humour in a situation, and if someone cannot be pinned down or something will not come together, focus your energies elsewhere for the time being. You could consider this to be a time of transition - things are in a state of motion, they have not yet reached their final destination.
8th November 2004 - 14th November 2004 The arrival of Mars in your sign should be greeted with cautious optimism. This planet brings with him ambition and dynamism - qualities you have in full, for a start - so while you may experience a confidence and energy boost, you will have to be careful not to look as though you're at war with the world! It may now become clear to you that the only way something is going to be done is for you to do it yourself - and this is no bad thing: you have the ability and the focus to achieve most of your objectives. What you cannot do, especially in this climate, is make one of your all or nothing moves thus creating an unnecessary enemy and stirring up conflict where you don't need it.
15th November 2004 - 21st November 2004 Not usually given to impulse moves and risky policies, Monday's link between Mars in your sign and revolutionary Uranus could inspire you to take a chance or opt for an untried route. And this may turn out to be the best thing you've done in a while. However, as the week progresses Saturn and Pluto gain ground, urging you to be more cautious, and indicating that actions will have consequences. My take on this is that you should follow your instincts and look in new directions for solutions to old problems and success in the future. However, if you act out of revenge or there is any anger behind your actions, be prepared for pay-back time a little further down the line.
22nd November 2004 - 28th November 2004 On the 22nd, beautiful Venus enters your sign bringing with her, peace, harmony and love. Between now and late December should be one of the most fulfilling and fertile periods of the year. Certainly, you will have the ability to charm the birds off the trees, and if you're looking to make a hit with someone, now is the time to launch your offensive. Not that the week ahead is all sweetness and light. You have quirky Uranus to thank for any unscheduled developments, and you will have to be very careful not to voice an opinion designed to burst someone's balloon. Ultimatums, threats and promises should not be delivered or responded to in this kind of climate.
29th November 2004 - 5th December 2004 You should be at your sexy and feisty best at the moment so if you are still hesitating about making a romantic move, it's time you threw caution to the winds. However, where almost everything else is concerned applying the brakes could prove entirely helpful. Not everything is quite as it seems and not everyone is being as honest and open as he or she might be. This is not a giant excuse to head down a paranoid spiral but it is reason to question the true nature of situations and the genuine motives of other people. Leaks of one sort or another can happen under these stars, as can strange encounters and mysterious disappearances.
Seeing is not necessarily believing.
6th December 2004 - 11th December 2004 You are going to have to dig deep into your reserves this week. For many Scorpios this implies you are about to make an expensive purchase or pay a large bill, but for some the cost incurred is an emotional one. You know what you are like when faced with a disappointment, or worse, a betrayal - you press the delete button - however be very careful of going for the jugular at this time. Mercury is still retrograde so situations have a chance to reverse themselves, and what may at this time seem to be a slam-dunk could look very different by Christmas. Take your time, check your information and at all costs keep the avenues of communication open.
Time will tell.
13th December 2004 - 19th December 2004 We are in Pluto country again this week - familiar ground to Scorpio. You of all the signs are capable of rising like a phoenix out of the ashes of situations and making all or nothing decisions - trends that are alive and well in the current astro-patterns. Finances are top of the list when it comes to grand gestures and major developments, and these influences could preside over the purchase of a property or the receipt of a large cheque. There is nothing minimalistic about events in mid-December - the good are absolutely fabulous and the bad, enough to make you consider moving to planet Pluto ! Be brave enough to make a hard decision but wise enough to recognize when you'd be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Consider all the ramifications.
6th December 2004 - 12th December 2004 You are going to have to dig deep into your reserves this week.
20th December 2004 - 26th December 2004 At last situations begin to make sense and instead of constant holdups and misunderstandings the lines of communication begin to flow freely. There could be some last moment spending going on, and this appears to be one Christmas where your generosity knows no bounds. Of course, you only get out of events what you put into them, so there is every reason to applaud your efforts to please your loved ones, even if you will be on starvation rations in the New Year. If there is a warning light blinking on the Christmas tree it is the full moon of the 26th. All full moons raise the emotional temperature so keep your cool both in and out of the kitchen.
All things in moderation.
27th December 2004 - 2nd January 2005 Is it the thought of another year coming in and one or more situations showing no signs of shifting that is making you unusually crabby and impatient? Or is it that you are looking forward to the arrival of 2005 because you cannot wait for certain important dates in your diary to be reached? Whatever the reason, the next ten days have more than a frisson of anticipation about them. And even if you can see no cause to be excited something looks set to eliminate any hint of ennui. Scorpios rarely embrace change with gusto but this is one New Year's Eve when impulses should be obeyed and alternatives welcomed.
Time to change.
3rd January 2005 - 9th January 2005 This is a tough start to the week by anyone's standards, so don't expect people to be falling over backwards to help you. By the same token, if you are feeling disenchanted with life, do your best not to take it out on anyone else - small incidents assume huge proportions in this kind of climate. Top of the list for causing agro are finances - a forgotten bill, perhaps, or a failed monetary transaction - but whatever the reason, remind yourself that there are always solutions, and the answers will come as soon as you are calm and reasonable ! Then again, if you've been plucking up the courage to tell someone how you truly feel, you've got it in spades.
A tough call.
10th January 2005 - 16th January 2005 Even if you have no reason to feel dispirited or aggravated, the climate of the times is chilly, and other people may have tales of woe to tell you. Saturn represents the blot on the astrological horizon, and the best you can expect from this task-master of planets is a long day's journey into night. This is not to say that you cannot succeed in your endeavours now, in fact you could do very well indeed, it is just that you are likely to meet with unnecessary obstacles and time-consuming detours. What will help is setting your mind into hard work mode and taking with you on your travels your sense of irony and a large packet of patience pills !
You'll get there in the end.
17th January 2005 - 23rd January 2005 Paying the cost of Christmas past can be a familiar theme each January, but at least this year you have assertive Mars in the area of finances, helping you make money or get to grips with monetary challenges. This week, Jupiter brings his generosity to bear so moneys owed to you may arrive and a financial transaction could yield positive results. And since Jupiter is currently transiting the subterranean twelfth house, the way a situation turns around or the manner in which a worry is resolved could prove surprising, even mysterious. This has been a tough start to 2005, but gradually, gradually life is improving and with it your sense of humour !
A positive turn-around.
24th January 2005 - 30th January 2005 Progress may be slow and laborious this week, but what you learn along the way will prove invaluable. And while this advice may apply quite literally to your travel experiences, it is more likely to be a metaphor for the situations you encounter. Saturn and Pluto share the limelight, so laughter and joy will be in short supply while learning curves are everywhere you look. On the plus side, things of a legal and bureaucratic nature can be accomplished, and if you've needed an answer or a result you'll probably get it. Whether it pleases you is another matter altogether. Lower your sights, and if something comes together like a dream, don't expect everyone else to share your delight.
One step at a time.
31st January 2005 - 6th February 2005 January contained some tough and challenging alignments but already February is looking gentler and more accommodating. We have Neptune to thank for waving his mystical wand this week, and giving you time to focus on those things that really matter - beauty, love and truth. Nevertheless, if to be forewarned is to be forearmed amidst all the romance of the week ahead what you may have to be on the alert for are leaks and tittle-tattle. Machinery may be particularly unreliable at the moment, and getting a sensible statement from certain people could prove just as frustrating. Use that razor sharp instinct of yours to know the difference between truth and fiction
Getting a grip.
7th February 2005 - 13th February 2005 We still have a touch of Neptune with us, although I'm tempted to say that this planet has only divine intentions this week - he means to show you what a magical place this world can be. All right, you can still check out the facts and insist on written guarantees but this shouldn't prevent you from believing the best of people, and, more importantly, trusting in love. Indeed, this is the very moment to acknowledge the truth of the heart and to allow more than a little space for love and romance to breathe. Whatever new steps you take at this time look set to bring happiness into your life and those to whom you are close.
Believe in love.
14th February 2005 - 20th February 2005 For the past two weeks Neptune has been ringmaster of cosmic affairs, which means that events may have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous! With Neptune, life is seen through a rose-coloured lens, and by the same token, minor flaws assume gargantuan proportions. With this in mind, don't let a mistake or a gesture that is less than you expected ruin an otherwise beautiful relationship, and if there is misunderstanding, talk it through patiently. Home affairs could also be subject to some stranger than fiction developments, and this is one week when you don't want to ignore a leak of any description.
Stranger than fiction.
21st February 2005 - 27th February 2005 Forget the ordinary and prepare yourself for a week of curious developments. Normally, Scorpio is a cautious creature and not much given to experimentation and risky manoeuvres but you could be more than ready for a change, and here it comes with knobs on! Bringing something new into being is the theme of the week, whether you start a new romance, get a project off the drawing board or whether quite literally new life is born. I wouldn't say the next few days are without the occasional anxious moment, but you must have faith in yourself and a strong belief that everything is going according to plan - just not your plans, maybe.
Fasten your seatbelt.
28th February 2005 - 7th March 2005 The week ahead is extraordinary by any astrological standards, and if you have been looking for the right moment to make a significant move, here it comes. Frustrations reach breaking point now, and desires are at their fiercest leading to all or nothing actions and life-defining decisions. Scorpios can put up with difficulties far longer than most of the other signs - often when it is not in your best interests to do so - thus you need a powerful trigger to get you moving and motoring. There is no way of knowing whether you'll be pleased at the developments of the next few days but I can guarantee that they will lead to a better scenario in the future.
Rocking the boat.
7th March 2005 - 13th March 2005 Under these stars, you can make a realistic decision; you can also turn a minor difficulty into a three-act tragedy. Therefore, from Monday onwards, do your best to keep to the facts and ignore any bubbles of hysteria that threaten to get in the way of discussion, debate and common sense. The area of travel and communications is flashing a red light, which means you should go slowly and remain on the alert for obstacles. Nevertheless, if you have been waiting to sign a contract or turn a blueprint into a reality, Saturn is here to help you do so in style, and in the knowledge that your actions will stand the test of time.
Down to earth.
14th March 2005 - 20th March 2005 As Pluto's child you should be in your element this week: you can get to the roots of matters, you can push yourself to the limits - creatively, emotionally and physically - and you can demonstrate how strongly you feel about certain situations. You may even get to bring something beautiful into being. The downside to all the power and energy the cosmos is producing, however, is that people may lose their cool and decisions could be made of the no-turning-back variety. I'm all for putting your money where your mouth is but just in case you are about to leave yourself high and dry in the process, might I suggest a softly, softly approach?
Keep something in reserve.
21st March 2005 - 27th March 2005 Scorpio likes to be prepared so hopefully you had all your ducks in a row before communications chief, Mercury, turned retrograde last Sunday. No? Well, forget about winning prizes for punctuality and performance and concentrate on the joy you can bring to events. There is also a small chance that you have run yourself into the ground recently so what you need more than anything is time to relax and recharge the batteries. While Friday's full moon could represent the happy culmination of a labour of love, any tensions that have been under the surface of a relationship could erupt over a minor incident. Relax, it's only Easter!
Take your time.
28th March 2005 - 3rd April 2005 This astro-scape is all about grand gestures and no holds barred actions. It is also about enjoying life to the full. In an ideal world, you'd be able to take a holiday now, or at least a long-weekend break, however these expansive influences could also increase your chances of success and bring more than an element of luck into play. Scorpio rarely reveals its true intentions but you may have no alternative other than to strike out boldly for what (or is that who?) you want. All right, you may have bitten off more than you can chew, and perhaps you will miss the mark, but not to have tried under these magnificent stars would be wasteful in the extreme.
Fortune favours the brave.
1st April 2005 - 30th April 2005
4th April 2005 - 10th April 2005 By mid-April there should be no more question marks hovering over a certain situation, largely thanks to events of the next few days. Saturn is in full sail, which means there will be nothing wishy-washy about your feelings and no ambivalence over a result. And even though you may not be jumping up and down for joy all week, once you have got your mind around a new status-quo there's no one more positive and effective. Now, this may sound as if this week's developments will be less than delightful but Saturn's current position is highly favourable to Scorpios so good things will surely come out of the events of the next few days.
No more doubts.
11th April 2005 - 17th April 2005 Good things come out of this week's events. First, the areas of work and money are divinely linked, helping you add to your financial or professional lot, or at least to establish how to do so in the future, and, second, Venus, the planet of love, arrives in the area of relationships, thereby beginning a four-week phase of important romantic developments. Indeed, this is the premium period of the year for Scorpio nuptials and for meeting people who make your heart beat a whole lot faster. My only niggle relates to planet Neptune, the Master of mystery and illusion, who could crank up the rumour mill or produce a leak of some description. Remain grounded.
A reason to believe.
18th April 2005 - 24th April 2005 When the moon is in your sign your emotions and your will are harnessed to each other, thereby empowering you. But when that moon is eclipsed, as it is on Sunday, your powers are supercharged. All the more reason therefore to make sure that you are acting with the highest possible motives and not out of anger or revenge! There may also be a link between current events and those of late October/November, whether you find yourself dealing with a situation you believed was done and dusted last year or whether decisions taken some six months ago now come to fruition. Certainly, what happens at this time has an aura of what-goes-around-comes-around about it.
Coming full circle?
25th April 2005 - 1st May 2005 This could be one of the most romantic periods of 2005. Venus is already doing her best to sweeten your relationships and now with Neptune in the mix life could soar from the delightful to the divine. The work of these two planets is to weave a little magic into life: you might fall in love, experience a soul-to-soul moment or make a self-sacrificing decision. On the other hand you may begin to nurture serious doubts about the fidelity or veracity of someone close to you. If you are over the moon happy, enjoy the experience to the full but if you are indeed losing faith in someone or something, give the situation another couple of weeks before casting a final verdict.
Magic moments.
2nd May 2005 - 8th May 2005 It is going to be difficult to separate fact from fiction. There are times when you can trust people to live up to their promises and there are times when having faith in a situation, even without a shred of evidence that it is worth it, makes it happen. And this could be one of those times. You are going to have to be the judge of whether you put more money, time or heart into an endeavour or association, but I believe you know deep down what is right and what is real. There is more than a hint of karma - the spiritual law of cause and effect - surrounding events at the moment, but what you do with what happens is entirely up to you.
What goes around comes around.
9th May 2005 - 15th May 2005 Drop the fear, and you could have an amazing week. Now, I'm not encouraging you to sky dive from a great height but I am pointing out that sometimes you have to take a calculated risk in order to succeed: and this is just such a time. There are some powerful and innovative influences at work in the astrology, which you can harness to reveal hidden talents and feelings or begin a new phase of your life. Sometimes people have to be shocked into doing something about a situation, and while this may apply equally well to you, I suspect that this approach could be used to show someone else what you're capable of.
Taking a chance.
16th May 2005 - 22nd May 2005 With the cosmos currently at sixes and sevens, you are unlikely to feel at your most serene, and much can be said for most other people too. Therefore, one easy way to guarantee a stress-free week is to ignore minor crimes and misdemeanours and to treat your opponents with grace and magnanimity. Of course, this is the theory; putting such noble behaviour into practice could be a whole other story. You may indeed feel pushed to the limits of your tolerance and good humour, but by fighting fire with fire you will surely make matters worse. Even in the event of a serious upset, do your utmost to believe that everything is happening for the best.
Turn the other cheek.
23rd May 2005 - 29th May 2005 Power-monger Pluto is just beginning to take a higher profile in cosmic affairs, so if you have been putting up with a less than satisfactory state of affairs, push could be about to come to shove. In an ideal world whatever radical action you plan to take should be carried out with as little drama and destruction as possible - think damage limitation exercises - and, since this Pluto effect will be in place until mid-June, you have time to prepare the ground. On the other hand, should you get swept up by the force of events and your arguments, consider the fates to have played a hand, and that you have the resources with which to triumph, and certainly survive.
A turning point.
30th May 2005 - 5th June 2005 This is a decisive and dynamic period of the year, and you won't be the only one set on a new path after the events of early to mid-June. Of course, just how much change will be evoked by these transformational stars will vary from one Scorpio to another, but you should be prepared both to implement changes of your own now, and for others to act as the agent of change for you. Finances top the list of hot topics for this week - a change of income for some, a windfall for others, and in general a time to reassess and restructure loans and joint commitments. However, anything that has gone past its sell-by date, could be about to be shelved.
Time for a change.
6th June 2005 - 12th June 2005 Your friend, Pluto, is centre stage this week, bringing out the extremes in you, and in others. People give of their best and worst under Pluto, so if you are facing an important date in your diary, you have all you need to bring it off like a true star; conversely, should your diary look remarkable empty, prepare yourself for a week of revelations, if not a revolution or two! Money and joint ventures are the most likely source of any aggro now, and at least for the time being you are probably better acquiescing to other people's demands rather than forcing your own on them. Indeed, by falling in with others' plans you'll take the sting out of a difficult, if not damaging, agenda.
Don't fight fire with fire.
13th June 2005 - 19th June 2005 With Pluto as your ruling planet you ride the peaks and troughs of life with comparative ease and armed with this knowledge you should have no trouble whatsoever dealing with the vicissitudes of life and love this week. Will you? First on Pluto's hit list could be a financial matter: on the plus side, you can exchange contracts and put your signature to a long-term commitment but on the minus side, an unexpected bill could throw your account out of balance or you may find you have a serious opponent. Charm and flattery probably won't be enough to set a situation to rights now but neither will fighting fire with fire. Your best policy is to withdraw for the time being and allow the dust to settle.
Take a rain check.
20th June 2005 - 26th June 2005 Signatures can now be placed on contracts and situations that were up in the air come down to earth - and with a bump in some cases. The past few weeks have produced many volatile alignments, which may have unsettled you and created all manner of uncertainties. Now, a combination of Saturn and a full moon brings reality to bear, whether what was once in pieces comes neatly together or whether you realize that too much damage has been done, and everyone concerned needs to put a situation to bed and move on. There is much to celebrate in these stars, even if this translates as finding the courage to face a painful truth.
Taking the high ground.
27th June 2005 - 3rd July 2005 Throw caution to the winds and make a move that you have been debating for some while. It's not often that a cluster of fortunate influences like these prevail, so this is one boat of opportunity you cannot afford to miss. While some Scorpios could be setting sail for distant parts, others could be drawing up plans for the future, possibly already putting signatures to contracts. Certainly, this is a week when you need to look beyond your usual boundaries for happiness and success. Scorpios can be over cautious sometimes, so if you need encouragement to go out on a limb for someone or something I'm giving it to you unreservedly.
Extending your boundaries.
4th July 2005 - 10th July 2005 It's time to get out of a dreary rut and see what's going on in the world around you. Now, this could mean you're about to do some serious travelling or it may suggest that you've been looking at a situation too closely and you need to see it in a broader context. While there is a lot to be said for staying close to home or remaining true to your original plans/beliefs, occasionally there is even more to gain from venturing into foreign territory. While this week's stars may not be enough to transform an old pattern of life into something radically different, they are enough to brighten up a jaded palette and set you trekking up a new track.
Seeing the bigger picture.
11th July 2005 - 17th July 2005 This is a big week in the astrological calendar. Law-enforcer Saturn arrives on the mid-heaven of your solar chart for a two-year transit. Saturn will help you work steadfastly towards your objectives, provided your ambitions are within your grasp and they are built of the right stuff. Scorpio is one of the most ambitious and determined signs of the zodiac yet sometimes the object of your desires is entirely inappropriate for you. With this in mind, you may shortly discover that someone or something is beyond reach or has such serious flaws that it makes no sense to continue the pursuit. By contrast what comes through at this time will be of lasting value and utterly worthy of your efforts.
Getting results.
18th July 2005 - 24th July 2005 Are we having fun? Probably not under these Saturnian aspects but we can accomplish a great deal and much good will come out of current developments. The sun and Saturn have just entered the zone of career and ambitions so you have yet to see what offers will come your way and how you can add to your status and reputation, yet you may see signs of such things this week. In truth, sun-Saturn combinations can be frustrating, and sometimes a sense of defeat is experienced, however determination and persistence are rewarded, whether at the present time or in the future. Put on a good face and don't press the Scorpio self-destruct button.
Sing along with Saturn!
25th July 2005 - 31st July 2005 This is one crazy mixed-up week. Trail-blazer, Uranus and stick in the mud, Saturn have equal sway, so while you may get the go-ahead for an exciting project you may also experience delays, even a no-go, in another direction. Perhaps you have been coping with a complex situation for the past couple of weeks, or maybe someone has been very awkward to deal with, and this tendency reaches something of a peak by the weekend. What may help is recognizing that nothing is for nothing - in other words, even a bolt from the blue has its origins in a past event, and sometimes you need to be forced to see the light.
Eyes wide open.
1st August 2005 - 7th August 2005 Late July through late August is one of the most get-ahead phases of 2005 - that is until muddle-maker Neptune gets in the way of your perfect plans. You may need to take a moment to reflect on where you're headed, in which case you now have a golden opportunity to do so: also, up until this point you could have been focusing on the material aspects of a situation without taking into consideration how you truly feel about it, so a pause to get your emotional bearings is no bad thing. However, if an endeavour suddenly appears to be off the agenda or someone is proving difficult to locate or pin down to a definite answer, withdraw for the moment and wait for Neptune's tide to turn.
You need a little distance.
8th August 2005 - 14th August 2005 You probably know yourself pretty well - it doesn't take much to incite your passions and you develop strong opinions about people and situations, which cannot be changed. With this in mind, do your level best to remain cool and detached this week. While you are right to make a stand about something you believe in, there is a chance that some of the pieces of the jigsaw are missing, and you don't want to be in the position of regretting your actions. Things of a property and financial nature are particularly vulnerable to mistakes and upsets, however, you'd be better walking away from anything that or anyone who raises your temperature now.
Play it cool.
15th August 2005 - 21st August 2005 Clarity is about to be regained but before you embark on one of your all-or-nothing missions, make sure you really can live without a certain fixture in your life. Now, for some Scorpios this may manifest as the desire for a major editing exercise on the home or job front but others may find that they are no longer prepared to put up with someone's behaviour. You could use Friday's full moon with its theme of closure and completion to bring a situation to an end, but if you take your astrologer's advice you'll leave it until the beginning of September before you kick a piece of your existence into the dustbin of history.
Bide your time.
22nd August 2005 - 28th August 2005 Having temporarily dug ourselves out of a Neptunian bog, back into it we go! Clearly, you could be enjoying your time in Neptune's wonderland, perhaps because you are on vacation or in the throes of the great love affair, but if you're merely trying to lead a normal life, it could seem as if you are constantly going round in circles. Relationships and collaborations are currently in the frame here, so try to give other people the space they require in order to complete a task or reach a decision. However, if you sense someone is lying to you or in danger of damaging an enterprise, draw a halt to the situation, albeit for a short while.
A tangled web.
29th August 2005 - 4th September 2005 There's nothing ordinary about this week's astro-scape. Planet Uranus is centre stage, encouraging people to do the unexpected and bringing out the innovative and the unpredictable in you. New things come into being with the speed and drama of a lightening storm, and feelings you may have suppressed for a while bubble up to the surface creating ripples in a relationship. You may prefer to stick with the security of the old and the familiar but the stars are encouraging you to go in a whole new direction. A friend or organization could prove instrumental to the current reshuffle - leave the questions 'til later.
A blast of fresh air.
5th September 2005 - 11th September 2005 If you feel that life is stir-crazy and that people have temporarily lost their heads, you'd be right. Under Uranus the unconventional, the unexpected and the plain crazy are the norm! On the other hand, Uranus can be the architect of brilliant breakthroughs and welcome changes. But however this planet is manifesting in your life this week, with peaceful Venus entering your sign on the 11th, you are about to start one of the more successful and enjoyable phases of 2005. More specifically, if a relationship has been under a bit of a cloud recently or you have felt somewhat disenchanted with your lot, prepare for a 180-degree turn-around.
Happy prospects.
12th September 2005 - 18th September 2005 When the going gets tough the tough call in the Scorpios! Yes, this is one of those weeks when your ingenuity and fearlessness will be called upon, whether in regard to events in your own life or those in other people's. It may be time to abandon a course of action or to head out in a radically different direction and whatever comes or goes you'll see the best and worst in friends and colleagues now. Fortunately, you have beneficial Venus in your sign at the moment, ensuring that you come out of situations smelling like a rose. And, over the weekend, this same planet will help turn a romance into something more permanent or enable you to see where your heart truly belongs.
An eye-opener.
19th September 2005 - 25th September 2005 Are you discovering the benefits of Venus in your sign yet? Well, maybe the past few weeks have given this delightful planet a strenuous workout but she's free to give of her best this week. If you have chosen this mid-late September period to marry or become engaged, the stars are firmly behind you, and should you have lost heart in a romance these next few days could set it beating once again. There is a chance that Neptune's unreliable nature could call into question someone's honesty and fidelity but you'll gain more from being magnanimous and forgiving now than bringing down the drawbridge on a relationship.
Faith, hope and charity.
26th September 2005 - 2nd October 2005 Since late July Mars has been doing his best to liven up your love life but if instead you feel that partners and other people have been on the warpath, an armistice could be on its way. There is also a chance that a past love could return or that a flagging romance can be rekindled. Going back may not always be the right action to take, but between now and early December, especially where relationships are concerned, revisiting the past and attempting to right ancient wrongs is appropriate. As for this weekend, whether or not you have a romantic date in your diary you may be surprised at the force of passions aroused.
Simmering nicely.
3rd October 2005 - 9th October 2005 In a matter of weeks, mighty Jupiter will enter your sign all set to give you a year of unbridled opportunity, and in many ways, this week's astrology is a sign of things to come, an aperitif before the main course! An idea born at this time could have life-changing properties, and you should pay special attention to your dreams and intuitions. Always a subtle and secretive soul you should nonetheless remain even more alert to signals from other people and if you can plant a seed of some description it will almost certainly develop over the months ahead. Have confidence in yourself and trust in your hopes.
Think big.
10th October 2005 - 16th October 2005 Mercury has just entered your sign, so you are only beginning to make use of this planet's talent to communicate, however you are likely to require huge stores of clarity and persuasiveness this week. You may have a difficult subject to discuss with a friend, employer or partner, or a situation may have reached the point where it is untenable - whatever the challenge, you will need to be structured in your approach, yet fair and understanding. This is a tough period for the entire zodiac, which may explain why other people are giving you such a hard time and while you feel that you have an unfair burden to carry.
One step at a time...
17th October 2005 - 23rd October 2005 You are not only emerging out of the woods but entering a period of great illumination. In many ways, this mid-to-latter period of October is all about sewing up loopholes and reaching understandings, and even if you feel that you could be in better shape - every which way - you are nonetheless ready for a fresh start. Ideally, you should keep a low profile during the working week with a view to stepping out over the weekend. Indeed by the 22nd you could be ready to pull out all the stops, whether for love, money or an ambition close to your heart. Is there any point urging you to look before you leap - probably not since even a mistake could turn out to be a lucky accident.
Letting rip!
24th October 2005 - 30th October 2005 Finally, on the 26th, mighty Jupiter enters your sign and for a year-long stay. This is one planet that for all its faults can give you more in terms of wealth, success and happiness than all the others combined. Now would be an appropriate moment to dust off those plans that have been languishing in the pending file and to recognize where there are justifiable compromises to be made and what is truly standing in the way of your success and fulfilment. To a certain extent Saturday's Venus-Pluto link utters the same message - with passion and commitment there's nothing you cannot achieve, nothing that cannot be changed.
Your star rises.
31st October 2005 - 6th November 2005 The only new moon this year in Scorpio appears on Tuesday and it is a sign of a new page in your life book, especially if it is your birthday on the 2nd. However, like all new starts, something has to be left behind. With this in mind, this week's influences help you dispose of some baggage. Scorpio is quite the most courageous sign of the zodiac yet you are highly resistant to change: somehow you have to get over this reluctance to leave the safe and the familiar because staying put may be doing you more harm than good. If someone or something causes you pain and hassle now, ask yourself what you have to gain by putting up with the situation. You have more power than you think.
A new start.
7th November 2005 - 13th November 2005 This is either the most divine week ever or quite the most mystifying. Jupiter's recent arrival in your sign may be already raising hopes and bolstering your confidence, and now with magical Neptune in the ascendant you could receive concrete proof of your faith and efforts. Yet the reverse is just as possible so that at this point in the year you come to understand that a project or an association is not made of the right stuff. You don't need me to urge you to double check someone's credentials or to establish that what you are being told is the truth, but it is possible that your ambition and desires are blinding you to a reality.
Being honest.
14th November 2005 - 20th November 2005 I wouldn't describe these stars as a riot of laughs - they're purposeful at best and problematic at worst. Saturn is in pride of place this week, which means rules must be obeyed and any crime and misdemeanour will exact a severe punishment. Nonetheless, if you've put in the hours and never deviated off the straight and narrow, Saturn will surely produce a glittering prize now. By and large, other people will be less than easy to deal with, and unless you are prepared to compromise a falling out with a partner, associate or company may be inevitable. Think carefully before you sign an agreement or cut your losses - with Mercury retrograde, things may change yet again.
Count to ten.
21st November 2005 - 27th November 2005 Saturn and Uranus do not make the easiest of double-acts, as you may well find out this week. While Uranus is creating unexpected openings and opening your eyes to the new and the different, Saturn is employing his usual hold-up tactics and reminding you of the dangers of going against the grain. Especially where finances are concerned, be prepared to deviate from the norm and to try various avenues of resolution; likewise should a large blot appear on the work horizon do your best to swallow your pride and opt for some time to consider your next move. Fortunately generous Jupiter is watching from the wings, fully prepared to come to the rescue, if not produce a rabbit out of the hat.
Different strokes.
28th November 2005 - 4th December 2005 If you are currently in the middle of negotiating a salary structure or talking money to financial organizations, putting forward some alternative ideas, or accepting one, is the way to go now. A combination of progressive Uranus and constructive Saturn helps new ideas become the standard, and although you may be naturally suspicious of the untried and untested, you will benefit by changes implemented at this time. Mercury turns direct on Sunday, ensuring that agreements are worth the paper they are written on and reinstating plans that have been in the pending file for some time.
A change of direction.
5th December 2005 - 11th December 2005 A Mars-Jupiter opposition flanking the relationship axis can be a wonderful thing, yet it can also be a great destabilizer. Yes, this would be an ideal week to declare undying love for someone and to do all for love but with your passionate nature events may instead spur your desire for vengeance. My advice would be to go unreservedly with your feelings of love but to put a hold on any plans for retribution since they could backfire on you, and within a matter of days. Jupiter's passage through your sign will create many wonderful opportunities for you during the coming year - you can afford to be magnanimous on this occasion.
Love is a many-splendoured thing.
12th December 2005 - 18th December 2005 Ruler, Pluto, is back in business this week, giving you the power to knock a situation on the head, and also the passion to do something seriously unadvisable in the heat of the moment. Money and self-worth are centre of the astrology now, so any intense negotiations or powerful impulses are likely to have financial consequences. We cannot always know what we do is right but in this kind of climate should there be a scintilla of doubt in your mind as to whether an action is unworthy or likely to make a big enough wave that you could be deluged, please take a step back. Video tapes you can rewind, time you cannot.
Taking stock.
19th December 2005 - 25th December 2005 Fortunately, the one guest you probably don't want for Christmas gets his visit over and done with before the weekend - and we're talking Uranus here. This planet of mischief and misrule is in everybody's way at the start of the week, so expect some travel hiccups and a controversial moment. On the other hand, you may receive an unexpected invitation which could brighten your sights considerably. What is for sure is that something or someone will make you wake up and smell the mulled wine! Over the weekend peace and harmony replace drama and discord, making this one of the happiest Christmases for a long while.
A change of plan.
26th December 2005 - 1st January 2006 If you have been putting a good face on a difficulty simply because it's Christmas, be prepared to have your facade crumble. Mars and Saturn do not take prisoners: they insist that facts are faced and that any gloss is wiped off a situation so that you can deal with it warts and all. Now, I'm all for calling a spade a shovel, but it might behove you to take the path of compromise and tolerance, at least until you are one hundred percent sure that you can survive by burning your bridges. The New Year brings Pluto into the mix, augmenting your talent for no-holds-barred statements and for showing the rest of the world what a proud and passionate person you are.
A week of extremes.
2nd January 2006 - 8th January 2006 If you've suddenly developed a pair of itchy feet, blame it on planet Mercury which arrives in the area of travel and communications on Tuesday. You could be ready to start a new job, add to your bank of knowledge or to take off to distant shores, and even if you have none of these things penned in your diary, stretching your mental and physical abilities is the perfect way to start 2006. Known for your caution and resistance to change, this new year has come in on a wave of the daring and the different - indeed this great theme permeates the whole of your year ahead. You've been waiting for an opportunity to spread your wings - now take it.
Taking off.
9th January 2006 - 15th January 2006 Jupiter in your sign stands opposed to Mars setting the stage for a major relationship development. Mars-Jupiter connections are larger than life, so you can safely expect partners or people with whom you are involved personally and professionally to be immoderate in their actions. However, while the good may turn out to be over-the-top fantastic, the bad will be bruising to say the least. My advice is to lock away the firearms and avoid delivering a fatal verbal punch! You may need to keep someone on your side until you have made alternative arrangements. Not that I'm trying to burst your balloon. If you're in celebration mode, enjoy it all to the full: moments like this rarely come twice.
All or nothing.
16th January 2006 - 22nd January 2006 Your sleuthing skills will be much in demand again this week. Mars, currently stirring passions in others - or is that conflict? - hooks up to illusionist, Neptune, causing confusion in a relationship, if not chaos in more than one area of life. People may not intend to deliberately mislead you, but the information they have could be faulty; likewise, you might not mean to undermine someone with your actions and statements, but somehow you do. In a nutshell, all is not as it seems and you must be zealous in your efforts to ensure that your integrity is in tact and that you are dealing only in the currency of truth.
Don't rush your fences.
23rd January 2006 - 29th January 2006 I wouldn't describe these influences as pure, undiluted joy - they're unrelenting and certainly hard work. Fortunately, you won't be the only one labouring under Saturn's rule though - everyone you come in contact with will be experiencing a degree of frustration. Of course, you could take advantage of this knowledge by showing patience and compassion for others... An endeavour may hit a major rut in the road, necessitating a delay and an alternative route. On the other hand, a job or commitment could be at an end, causing some sadness and regret. Should you indeed be saying goodbye to someone or something, do your best to accept that an ending is the essential component of a new beginning.
A pit stop.
30th January 2006 - 5th February 2006 Thank goodness you have X-ray vision and a mind like Hercule Poirot. With the cosmos weaving a tangled web only the Scorpio sleuths get by! Not that I wish to dampen your hopes or encourage you to doubt someone's word. But, if your suspicions are already aroused this might be the time to call a temporary halt to an endeavour or to at least ask for a little more information and reassurance. A situation that has seen many twists and turns in the last three months could be about to take another route, and for an inexplicable reason. Do your best not to act in the heat of the moment but to proceed with grace and good humour. In other words, leave a door open.
Don't rush your fences.
6th February 2006 - 12th February 2006 Abundant Jupiter and mysterious Neptune are playing equal parts in your life at present, so life could be veering from the sublime to the surreal on a daily basis. While you should have faith in yourself and your abilities you may need to be a little more circumspect about other people's claims. These two planets in combo are renowned for promising more than they can deliver so guarantees must be given and money and effort not expended unless you are one hundred percent sure of a return. Things of the soul and spirit prove inspiring and rewarding but you could be a little short on facts, figures and
ready cash!
Be careful what you wish for.
13th February 2006 - 19th February 2006 This may be the most romantic week of the year but you seem to have other things on your mind. The areas of home on the one hand and career and ambitions on the other are in high focus and you may well be preparing for a departure. Certainly, Monday's full moon is all about endings and beginnings. No doubt you will welcome the prospect of moving onward and upward but just in case Uranus has a surprise up his sleeve, remember to view any unexpected change in the most positive light. Surprise offers and invitations could also appear, in which case the same advice applies - view them in the most appreciative light.
Never say never.
20th February 2006 - 26th February 2006 Let's face it, the year so far has had more downs than ups but at last Jupiter emerges with more than a ray of bright promise. You can find pleasure and happiness in abundance under these stars, and you can put a problem to rights. Half the battle, of course, is believing in yourself. Confidence and positive thinking can do more for you than you might think, and someone who was distinctly unimpressed with your charms in the past could be bowled over by you now. If you do nothing else this week, make a plan for a happy event in the future or bring something beautiful into someone else's life. Spreading light and joy benefits the giver most of all.
A beautiful thing.
27th February 2006 - 5th March 2006 Half measures are a thing unknown to Scorpio, which is wonderful when you're giving your all to a worthy cause but not so brilliant when the green-eyed monster has you in his grip. Extremes of any sort are to be avoided at the moment. By the end of March it may be apparent that your judgement was correct and that you can indeed follow through on your ideas but, with Mercury turning retrograde on Thursday there could be more water to flow under the proverbial bridge and you might be wiser holding off for now. Run through all the alternatives, create a blue-print but don't burn your bridges.
Be wise before the event, not after.
6th March 2006 - 12th March 2006 Scorpios do not like to be hurried nor do they like last moment changes thrust upon them, but you should be prepared for both this week. Uranus is well-placed for you at the moment encouraging you to reveal dormant talents and to express feelings that have been concealed for too long, yet this may not be the week to let loose your inner child. What you set in motion now may well be impossible to rewind, so to speak, so you have to be very sure you can live with your words and deeds. A love-affair or a long-standing partnership could be totally changed by what happens over the course of the next seven days, whether by you or circumstances beyond your control.
Be careful what you wish for.
13th March 2006 - 19th March 2006 No one could describe these stars as fun, but they are galvanizing. What emerges over the course of the next seven days should get you moving, whether in the literal sense of inspiring a journey or a change of home/work location, or in the metaphorical way of awakening you to the actions you should take. You are in a highly creative phase at present, which means you can start new associations and projects, and you can try new ways of handling situations both difficult and promising. However, should someone or something rattle you this week, do your best to be gracious and accommodating - promises or threats issued now may prove irrevocable.
Occupy the higher ground.
20th March 2006 - 26th March 2006 There's a lot more luck and opportunity around this week, so if you had a door slam in your face earlier this month, this might be the moment to mount your counter attack, or at least to flaunt your assets in a direction where they would receive more welcome attention! Affairs of the heart are under the combined brilliance of Jupiter and Neptune, so you could discover you have a secret admirer or someone who was less than available to you could be ready and willing! The only word of warning I am going to utter is that signals could be misleading at present, and before you put ideas and hopes into action, do your homework.
Love is in the air.
27th March 2006 - 2nd April 2006 Scorpios do not like to make their major life moves in a hurry, except under the auspices of an eclipse. And with a solar eclipse in feisty and fearless Aries taking place on the 29th you could be pushed over the edge regarding a long-standing issue. You can only suffer frustration for so long, whether this implies you have been putting up with someone or something that has been inhibiting your talents or feelings, and although I would never recommend burning all your bridges this would be an appropriate time to release yourself from a painful or exasperating situation. There is an element of fate to these stars, so don't be surprised at what unravels over the next few days.
Going with your feelings.
3rd April 2006 - 9th April 2006 If you've been expecting a turn in the tide, here it comes. Saturn's return to normal service and ruler, Pluto's, face-off with Mars mean that issues stuck in the pipeline or pushed out of sight are liberated, whether this will be greeted with enthusiasm or dismay! A large financial outlay could be involved with this week's developments, although you may well be the beneficiary in the long run. What is not recommended is responding to any of Scorpio's less laudable instincts such as fierce retribution for another's minor crime or misdemeanour or cutting off your nose to spite your face. Let events unravel in the calm of reason and detachment.
A dignified stance.
10th April 2006 - 16th April 2006 The full moon of the 13th marks the end of what can only be described as a trying passage. You may have achieved much over the past few weeks but now is the time to pause and assess the damage, primarily in terms of your health and emotional well-being. Ideally, you should take a break now, or at least cut down unnecessary commitments: that way you will have a clearer picture of certain situations and a better mindset with which to make your next move. What emerges out of the woodwork this week should enlighten you and empower you - just be careful not to allow your heart to rule your head.
Time for a post-mortem.
17th April 2006 - 23rd April 2006 Change and the unexpected are hardly Scorpio's thing, however, you could be delighted with what comes about in sudden and unusual ways this week. Ideally, it is you who should be bringing new ideas into being and making the running in a romance but if you are on the receiving end of a surprise move, at least wait until the dust has settled before you decide how you feel. You have many months in which to watch your world open up to you but this is one of those occasions when you can give it a helping hand, even though it may mean rewriting a life script and causing one or two people to rethink their opinion of you.
Dare to be different.
24th April 2006 - 30th April 2006 Before you act on your feelings, be sure you have the full facts. The sun has only just begun to shine on relationship matters and while this week Saturn is in play too, and no doubt making life look a lot bleaker than it really is, Neptune and Jupiter have yet to add their input, and by mid-May things could appear altogether different. Should you be about to get married, then Saturn's influence will prove steadfast and enduring, and certainly reflective of the seriousness of such a commitment, but if you sense a relationship is floundering and wish to make a pre-emptive move, might I urge you to hold your horses?
Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
1st May 2006 - 7th May 2006 It's not often that we see such a brilliant astro-scape, and it centres on your sign. Now, you can do one of two things: either you can wait and see what the cosmos produces in the way of glad tidings this week, or you could accept that you have a tail wind and act on it, going for broke with a personal or professional ambition. Marriages and mergers are truly blessed at this time, and if you're not on the receiving end of a generous offer or a pleasing invitation then you should be the one giving to others. There could not be more of a contrast between this week and last, so at the very least, what once seemed dire beyond belief could now be looking a whole lot better.
The Midas touch.
8th May 2006 - 14th May 2006 You could describe this week's astrology as a three-ringed circus - there's so much going on it's difficult to know who and what to follow. Recently, you may have had cause to celebrate your good fortune, or you have been mixing with people who bring out the best in you, yet for some reason you are now nurturing doubts, and the more you try to examine what is going on the more confused you become. In this kind of climate you are better deferring a decision - your feelings could well be right but until you know for sure, a pre-emptive strike would be foolhardy and probably not in your best interests. Over the weekend, the full moon in Scorpio will illuminate and empower you.
Don't force the issue.
15th May 2006 - 21st May 2006 Mercury is currently residing in the zone of partnership, so other people may be coming to you with ideas and offers or needing you to listen to their problems. It is a time when you may find yourself in the passenger seat of life rather than the driver's. However, this does not mean you should allow yourself to be completely taken for a ride! Whether unintentionally or on purpose someone is not telling you the whole truth so, much as you might want to appear compassionate and supportive, you must also ask for facts and figures. Especially if you are putting your name to a contract only do so if you know, absolutely know, that it is the right thing to do.
Being sure.
22nd May 2006 - 28th May 2006 Another of those now or never moments may be about to present itself. Normally, aspects involving Uranus create considerable static but not so on this occasion: any detours, postponements or alterations should work to your advantage, and, especially where money or a close association is concerned, a new arrangement may be long overdue. Scorpios are often a tad reluctant to stray from familiar territory but you should have no such fears now: allow your uninhibited side to reveal itself and don't turn down an offer that poses a degree of risk. You are well protected planetary-wise and the only regret you're likely to have is what you did not do.
A leap of faith.
29th May 2006 - 4th June 2006 On the 29th, Venus enters the area of partnership and will spend the next four weeks trying to soothe troubled waters and set you on a new and improved course. This planet may also introduce you to someone who will make your life happier and more successful - you may even fall in love. However, this week's rather grey and thundery influences must be experienced first. On one level, Saturn's connection with Venus is completely appropriate for a wedding or joining an organization, but in another way, it may throw a bucket of water over a previously sizzling relationship. Avoid giving anyone an ultimatum and be gracious in the event of a disappointment.
Taking the higher path.
5th June 2006 - 11th June 2006 There is a sweet and sour flavour to your stars, although with Venus in the relationship zone angling big-hearted Jupiter you will surely emerge from any controversial situation smelling like a proverbial rose. Relationships receive the best of the astrological bounty, and you can have every confidence in romantic and working alliances begun now. Also, although you tend to be suspicious of other people's generosity, flattery or kindness, you can put your trust in statements and offers that come your way. All right, Uranus may represent the one stone in your shoe this week, but you have been through worse storms and this one could prove entirely invigorating.
A dynamite week.
12th June 2006 - 18th June 2006 Saturn may well have done you some favours during its year-long residence in the zone of career and ambitions, bringing you promotion and success; on the other hand, you may have experienced one setback after another and are beginning to doubt your abilities and your dreams. Whatever the case, you now have an opportunity to revise your strategies and to assess just what (or who) is worthwhile and what is not. And even if you are about to celebrate your great good fortune, this cannot be done without humility and an acknowledgement to those who have helped along the way. Dues must always be paid under Saturn.
Doing the right thing.
19th June 2006 - 25th June 2006 The past couple of weeks may have seen one of your ships come in or you could have realized that it is pointless throwing good money after bad, so to speak, but now Jupiter enters the picture and provides you with an opportunity to right an ancient wrong or amend a recent set-back. This is an impressive astro-scape, and one fitting the crowning of an ambition or endeavour. Thus, actions taken now and events that happen in an out of the blue way pack a powerful punch. There is more than a hint of karma being fulfilled or set in motion so minor incidents could give rise to major consequences, and small gestures may conceal great intentions.
What goes around comes around.
26th June 2006 - 2nd July 2006 Hopefully, you have already noted a pattern developing in life where people come to your rescue or you may have found that a difficult experience is compensated for by a positive one: if you have, it's called the Jupiter effect. This planet's passage through your sign continues to encourage you to have faith in your dreams or, more importantly, yourself, and this week provides another chance for Jupiter to boost your hopes. Long-range endeavours are in the frame, whether in the sense of travel or future plans, so you have every reason to feel optimistic, and no excuse to put off taking a bold, if somewhat risky, step.
No regrets.
3rd July 2006 - 9th July 2006 The laws of logic will not apply to this week's events: you'll need insight and patience. Organizations could prove difficult to communicate with and obtaining a clear-cut answer will be akin to finding a needle in a haystack. What you want to avoid in your anxiety to solve a problem is acting in haste or frustration because you will surely confuse matters even more. By the same token, other people could find your statements misleading and someone may accuse you of being hard to reach. The best thing to be said about this astro-scape is that it inspires acts of compassion and emphasizes just how important it is to love and be loved.
Taking the higher path.
10th July 2006 - 16th July 2006 Trying to reach your objectives could prove a tad frustrating this week. Other people will be difficult to track down and there could be endless delays with transport and transportation. However, the great strength to these stars is that by taking your time and employing your excellent sleuthing skills you could come across a valuable piece of information - and a delay could turn out to be entirely in your favour. There's also much to be said for leaving those things that are refusing to gel on the back burner for now and concentrating on those pursuits that and those people who inspire you and add a rich quality to life.
Slowly but surely.
17th July 2006 - 23rd July 2006 A foray into the past provides both joy and enlightenment - a theme that could be as relevant to journeys of the terrestrial kind as it is to meetings and intellectual excursions. Indeed, the area of travel and far-horizons is beginning to look more than pleasurable, for some Scorpios signalling a new romance in a distant place and for others a period in which long-standing relationships benefit from some space or some foreign input. All right, traveller, Mercury, may not be helping to direct your course as smoothly as he might, but, under these delightful stars, even a detour could prove enlightening and engaging.
Travellers' tales.
24th July 2006 - 30th July 2006 The definition of luck is the moment preparation meets opportunity, and just such a prospect lies in your stars this week. The 25th's new moon portends an opening within the next month, first and foremost associated with your career, and, second, in regard to a personal aim. You also have the blessing of Venus and Jupiter, so don't allow a faint heart to stop you taking a leap of faith now. Things of a foreign kind are in the limelight, as are plans and projects of a long-term nature, and although I would not want you to risk everything you have in the world for a madcap scheme, it is worth remembering that we tend to regret what we did not do in life, not what we did.
Put your money where your mouth is.
31st July 2006 - 6th August 2006 This is one of the most ambitious phases of 2006 so, although you can have fun, thoughts of your future should not be side-lined. Mercury has only just righted itself so it may be that an opening or offer was ignored or failed to reach you, thus a call to an organization or individual of influence could prove timely. In a Jupiterian climate like this, people tend to be positive and benevolent, and making a pitch is far more likely to be greeted with enthusiasm. Next week Saturn puts in an appearance thereby placing obstacles in your path and generating more gloom than glad tidings: in other words do not put off 'til tomorrow what you can productively do today.
Eye on the ball.
7th August 2006 - 13th August 2006 You may already sense that you have arrived at a crossroads, in which case these influences will serve merely as a signature to events penned in your diary. However, if you were expecting a week of same-old-same-old, you could be in for a surprise. The axis of life-direction is in the frame, and it appears that a change is almost inevitable. It may be that you have gone as far as you can with a business commitment or romantic association and it is time to move out and move on. On the other hand, events could conspire to end a chapter on the work or domestic front. Whatever comes or goes in the next few days, be assured it will all work out for the best.
A turning point.
14th August 2006 - 20th August 2006 You're certainly being kept on your toes. If last week produced one pothole after another, this week gives you a green light and turbo-power. However, you must be careful how you use your advantages and discriminating with whom you bestow your favours - remember that old adage, act in haste; repent at leisure. Planets in the area of career and life-ambitions are being given a serious boost, which in some cases will manifest as a financial fillip and in others as an offer that cannot be refused. And if a previously deadlocked situation moves in the slightest, don't do your Scorpio 'thing' and sabotage it completely.
Taking the higher path.
21st August 2006 - 27th August 2006 You can thank your lucky star, Jupiter, that it is firmly shining on you at the moment. This planet will protect and provide, and ensure that you emerge from the most challenging situation smelling of success. However, if we're being real, you may face a pothole along that path to your success this week. This may come in the form of an organization failing to deliver its promise or a colleague letting you down in some way. What you should aim to do, is not reach for the firearms but find an alternative, which will surely present itself. As Saturn and Neptune draw ever closer to each other, many of our best-laid plans appear to have been built on shifting sand.
Faith, hope and an alternative.
28th August 2006 - 3rd September 2006 There's more than an element of fate to these stars. You may find that you are in the right place at the right time or that a meeting with someone opens a whole new chapter for you. Certainly, you should remain positive about your prospects and ready to embrace the new, wherever it happens and whomever inspires it. However, like most things astrological, there are plus and minus factors to the current astro-scape, and with Saturn and Neptune straddling the life-direction axis of your chart you may discover that an old route has come to an end, necessitating a pit-stop. Indeed, a pause to regroup and re-orient is most appropriate now.
Take a breather.
4th September 2006 - 10th September 2006 If you're ready for a change of scene and eager for some new challenges, these influences will not disappoint. The new and the unexpected are around each and every corner. Thursday's lunar eclipse points to the end of a gestation period, whether this is a signal for the beginning of a fresh business enterprise, the start of a fully-fledged love affair or the arrival of a new little person. And, as with all beginnings, loose ends need to be tied and closure and completion must be sought. In time to come you will look back on this September and see just how important it was to the unfolding of your life's journey - all the more reason, therefore, not to act in haste or in frustration.
Take your time.
11th September 2006 - 17th September 2006 Scorpios love getting to the roots of issues, and the darker and more complicated those issues may be, the better. You'll therefore be in your element this week: people will be revealing secrets and in the process you may come to see a situation in a whole new light. On one level, this is an excellent period to get to the bottom of a financial matter and to end commitments that are draining your resources; on another level, you can strip away the superficial layers of a relationship and conduct a heart-to-heart dialogue. Also, if you've been debating the wisdom of one of those all-or-nothing Scorpio actions, I think you're ready to take the plunge.
Now or never.
18th September 2006 - 24th September 2006 All the signs are in your favour at present, so have confidence in your endeavours and belief in yourself. And, if you have a special date in your diary this week, be assured you have the stars to match it. This is an especially favourable period for partnerships and collaborations, and productions of all kinds bring pleasure and success. Also, don't underrate the value of friendship as opposed to passion - under these stars what began as a platonic association could blossom into love, and a relationship that ended in fire and brimstone, could be resurrected. On the 23rd, the sun slips into the underworld of the twelfth house, signalling a time of retreat and reflection.
Positive signs.
25th September 2006 - 1st October 2006 Your ruling planet, Pluto, is back in business this week therefore you have both the power to change a situation for the better and the ability to sabotage a perfectly good arrangement. And maybe the notion that if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it will help. You will need to keep your cool over a money matter, remaining reasonable in any disagreement with a partner or organization and avoiding an ultimatum at all costs. By contrast, it may now be possible for a deal to be struck that will improve your financial position and/or the quality of a close relationship. You are about to begin a short period of reflection and retreat, all the more reason to get those ducks in a row.
Moderation in all things.
2nd October 2006 - 8th October 2006 It may be too soon to discover all the healing qualities of a twelfth house transit but the attention you pay now to improving the health of mind, body and spirit will pay dividends in the future. Likewise, if you cannot fix a situation by orthodox methods, an alternative route might get you a whole lot further. Indeed, with Mercury's arrival in your sign (2nd), ideas and solutions may seemingly emerge out of nowhere, and you should act on your intuition, although not out of paranoia. There is also a possibility that a selfless or generous act performed some time ago is about to be rewarded. The cosmos works in wonderful and mysterious ways sometimes.
Suspend disbelief.
9th October 2006 - 15th October 2006 Much as you may prefer to tell someone exactly how you feel, subtlety will win the day. You still have plenty to learn about one or more situations and by keeping a low profile and refusing to be pressed into a decision, you will strengthen your position. Nonetheless, Mercury in your sign is helping you express your ideas and find the right words when necessary, so provided you say what you want to say gently and demonstrate a degree of flexibility, you can have productive dialogues. Indeed, where once there was only harshness and rigidity, there could now be softness and sympathy.
A forgiving light.
16th October 2006 - 22nd October 2006 By next week the sun will be in your sign and you will be out of the woods, so remain patient should you be perplexed by someone's behaviour or deeply uncertain as to what to do about a situation. Your dreams may tell you more about what is going on than any amount of conscious analysis and research. Likewise, time spent in meditation and yoga will produce better results than hours spent behind a computer or on the telephone. The past is once again playing a part in current situations, whether a job well done stands you in good stead or a move made some time ago is revealing its limitations. Either way, remain cool and dignified.
Behind the scenes moves.
23rd October 2006 - 29th October 2006 The sun, Mars and Venus all enter your sign, giving you back your vision, your vitality and your confidence: you may now know what you want to do about a situation and you are firmly in the driver's seat. This new resolve may come about simply because you are ready to take charge of your own destiny, or it may be inspired by developments in the early part of the week ahead. Whatever the case, this is an impressive set of stars, and you should have the courage of your convictions; you can also afford to be optimistic about new endeavours and associations begun at this time. The only fly in the ointment is Mercury's U-turn on Saturday, which signals some minor delays and detours ahead.
Getting back in the saddle.
30th October 2006 - 5th November 2006 This is a week of mixed blessings. You have all the energy and drive you need to get you places yet, with Mercury on a backwards roll, journeys and negotiations may take far longer than you expect. However, there is a purpose in a delay and a reason for any unexpected U-turns. By the end of November the present trend for detours and doubts will be over and you should feel well pleased with the way a situation has panned out. With this in mind, be prepared to consider alterations to a previous plan and ready to wait a little longer for a desired result. Saturday's full moon brings a relationship full circle - time to make or break the ties that bind.
Take your time.
6th November 2006 - 12th November 2006 There is a fine line between false hope and positive thought, and you must be careful not to cross that line this week. Provided you have had enough time to establish the truth of a situation, the genuineness of a goal or the veracity of an individual, a deviation from the norm can be absorbed without too much hysteria. However, if something simply does not add up, you would be better withdrawing your support and playing for time until every last fact is known. This is one of those weeks when the strangest things happen and even the most solid arrangement can develop cracks; it$s one of those weeks when plots are lost and truth is in short supply.
Reserve judgement.
13th November 2006 - 19th November 2006 This is not the most straight-forward of weeks. A brilliant conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in your sign could produce a winning result, and it will certainly oil the wheels of romance. However, Saturn is also in the picture, taking some of the glitter off golden events and causing you to question whether a situation is worth your continuing time and efforts or if someone will be true to his or her word. Once Mercury gets back on track (Saturday) you will be more certain of your feelings and the doubts that may have held you back will be eliminated. And by way of a postscript, Saturn-Jupiter combinations are highly propitious for mergers of all kinds.
Mixed blessings.
20th November 2006 - 26th November 2006 Beneficent Jupiter may be exiting your sign but it is moving on to an area in which he can be very helpful indeed - finances. Until December next year, the climate will be right for making long-term investments and increasing your net-worth in a variety of ways. Your sense of self-worth will expand, almost certainly through the love, respect and admiration of colleagues, partners and organizations. And, if it is your birthday this week this prediction may be fulfilled very shortly. Uranus is also in the mix now so something looks set to alter your plans, and at the last moment, but in the words of the old cliché: all's well that ends well.
Life is rich.
27th November 2006 - 3rd December 2006 No one could accuse you of lacking courage or refusing to fight for your beliefs, but you may need to temper your passion with common sense: what may appear to be frustrating your plans could be helping you avoid a nasty tumble a little further down the line. Also, you could be so consumed with someone or something that you are blinded to the reality. Thus, before you burn all your bridges in an attempt to show that you will not be messed with, take a step back and consider all the consequences. Negotiation is a far better weapon than a box of matches and a can of gasoline. And you will do yourself a whole lot of favours by being as gracious in victory as in defeat.
Diplomacy not dynamite.
4th December 2006 - 10th December 2006 Your bank account gets a work-out this week. You could be spending money in spectacular style or there could be big bills to pay, and for some Scorpios, a large contract is ready to be signed. And even if none of these scenarios fits you precisely, the week ahead is one in which to put your finances under the microscope with a view to becoming richer and more secure. A relationship could undergo a transformation too, whether you reach the point where it is no use throwing good money after bad or because a formerly light-hearted liaison becomes much more passionate.
Peaks and troughs.
11th December 2006 - 17th December 2006 You're either spending money like water or raking it in. Monday's Mars-Jupiter conjunction is the stuff of extravagance and certainly the antidote to self-denial - a factor that could play a crucial part both in your Christmas shopping and your response to other people's actions and decisions. Some Scorpios will find a discussion with superiors leads to promotion, a bonus or at least a satisfactory outcome while others will be able to sell an idea to someone. And confidence and a good heart make a winning combination when it comes to money, love and the pursuit of a goal. Just be on the alert for the surprise move though.
Veering to extremes.
18th December 2006 - 24th December 2006 The last minute Christmas rush could find you spending more money than you expected but the pleasure you'll bring with your generosity is priceless. Of course, there are alternative ways to express your largesse, most notably in tolerating flaws in others who may not be pleasing you at the moment! Wednesday's new moon is conjunct Pluto so endings and beginnings is the theme for the week ahead - a process that will apply first and foremost to money and property, and second to your love life. Just remind yourself that sometimes in order to gain what you want you have to freely give it away. And maybe that's not what but who.
Giving generously.
25th December 2006 - 31st December 2006 Passion comes naturally to Scorpio and with Pluto in the ascendancy this week passion is here in spades. Now this trend can deliver pure pleasure if you have a partner with whom you are passionately engaged but otherwise the atmosphere can become somewhat dark and disconcerting. Put another way, this promises to be one of the most intense Christmases of recent years. Your guests may not be in the mood for light-hearted banter and little irritations could turn into full blown incidents unless you inject liberal doses of humour and irony into the proceedings. By New Year's Eve everyone will have forgotten their problems and you will be entering 2007 with higher hopes than you've had for years.
Making merry.
1st January 2007 - 7th January 2007 In an ideal world you'd be heading off on a holiday break now - the stars are in the perfect place to widen your horizons and encourage you to forget your troubles, or, more importantly, see them in the correct perspective. And even if a holiday is out of the question you might consider other ways of distancing yourself from the routine and the familiar. Wednesday's full moon encourages the process of closure and completion and while this may coincide with friends and family leaving for their own home or your heading back to base camp, you may be able to put your signature to a contract or neatly sew up some other matter.
A change of scene.
15th January 2007 - 21st January 2007 With the sun's arrival at the base of your chart (20th) you are beginning a six-to eight week period in which new projects can be launched and you can set in place the foundations of future success. Since mid-to-late February will reveal the flaws in your plans, now would be the perfect moment to look at what potential difficulties could arise with an endeavour, especially one linked to the home. This is not the time to cross your fingers and just hope that a minor problem will be ironed out or that a negative forecast carries no weight. Obviously, it is essential that you have dreams and that you endeavour to bring them into reality but blind optimism is not in your best interests.
Being realistic.
8th January 2007 - 14th January 2007 Two weeks into a new year and you are in battle mode - the principle focus of your warrior-like efforts being finances. With Jupiter and Pluto in the fiscal zone of your solar chart, there is a boom-bust process at work, so while you may do extremely well out of investments and sales this year and see an increase in income, all or nothing strategies are to be avoided. With this in mind, make sure you have in place a safety net of some description should you be making an expensive move this week. And although finances look to be source of any major highs or lows, an intimate or working relationship could be also on a razor's edge.
A plan of attack.
22nd January 2007 - 28th January 2007 Not for the first time are the planets sending you mixed messages. There could be good news on the financial front or an affair you were hoping would take off does just that - and in the most surprising of ways. However, the main protagonist on the astrological stage is Saturn, and there's always business to attend to when this planet is in the spotlight. It could be that a domestic matter is going to cost far more than you had imagined or that a plan you were looking forward to has to be delayed or shelved. But whatever threatens to thrust your ship of dreams on the rocks, be assured that it's better you know now than later when even more time, effort and money had been expended.
A reality check.
29th January 2007 - 4th February 2007 Last week Saturn began to sharpen his sword with a view to taking real action in February. Put another way, recent events were a mere aperitif to what is to come in February. You know in your heart that some things have done their time and some things are never going to materialize so under this week's insightful influences you can begin to make alternative plans. This may involve seeking backing from other sources or postponing an event until those concerned are ready; on the other hand, you may be better off cutting your losses. What probably will not work is trying to force others to fulfil their obligations.
Time for plan B.
5th February 2007 - 11th February 2007 Try to keep an open mind about the events of the next few days. Saturn and Neptune make uneasy bedfellows and it will be easy to misjudge a situation. On the one hand, something that you had high hopes for could prove unworkable and, on the other, a matter that you had given up on could show signs of life. Saturday provides the biggest challenge, whether you already know a major task lies ahead or because events drain your energies and your stores of humour. By contrast, should you be marrying or making a long-term commitment, these stars reflect the seriousness of that decision. Change what you can and what you can't accept with grace and fortitude.
Stepping up to the plate.
12th February 2007 - 18th February 2007 On Saturday, a new moon at the base of your horoscope begins a fresh phase for family life: for some Scorpios a new arrival can be expected, for others, a series of changes to the home itself may be on the agenda but for all the time is right to set down the foundations of new endeavours, and certainly to put difficulties behind you. Just how much room there is for love and romance, however, rather depends, and although these stars do not lack lustre you may not get all that you want the moment you want it! Mercury heads backwards from the 14th blocking the pipes of communication and necessitating the occasional detour and delay.
Take your patience pills.
19th February 2007 - 25th February 2007 As a Pluto-ruled sign, you know all about the highs and lows of life, and you may also recognize just how easy it is to press your self-destruct button. So, with Venus and Pluto hot to trot this week, please keep your finger well away from that button. Used wisely and not in a fit of pique this planetary duo can transform a lustreless situation into something throbbing with life; new ways around an apparent impasse can be found, even a relationship that seemed to have reached the end of the road can be turned around. Therefore, before you reach for the firearms, please give someone or something a fair chance.
Don't burn your bridges.
26th February 2007 - 4th March 2007 February is going out with a bang not a whimper. You'll have some answers to questions, although whether you like them rather depends... If you've known all along that someone or something wasn't up to the job, these stars will confirm it; likewise if you've felt a situation had some real value your hopes could be realized. Usually, I would recommend being pro-active and taking control but in this climate even the winners may sustain some permanent scars, if only to their reputation. Stand well back from the firing line, wait and see how other people react to current developments, then make your move - and preferably when March is out.
Weighing up the pros and cons.
5th March 2007 - 11th March 2007 Your unconventional side may get an airing this week. Uranus is in the ideal place to open you up to new possibilities and you should at least consider that the old ways are not always the best ways, whether in regard to personal life or things of a professional or financial kind. If you have been considering making a change in your career or seeking to broaden your circle of friends or colleagues this is the time to take such steps, and if someone forges a change in your routine or appears to be heading in a different direction from you, be philosophical because it is almost certainly the precursor to better things to come.
Different strokes.
12th March 2007 - 18th March 2007 This is a promising week so if you are currently nursing a grievance or feeling somewhat hard done by, shake off the blues and go seek your fortune! Rather more realistically, even if you do not have solid evidence that your talents are appreciated and/or receive a monetary fillip, efforts you make now in regard to your career or your financial situation should lead to positive outcomes in the future. Furthermore, with Venus entering the partnership zone on Saturday you are beginning a four week period when other people will be impressed your charms and, in some cases, ready to make an offer that will add to your happiness and security.
Smell the roses!
19th March 2007 - 25th March 2007 Not a week for the feint-hearted. Indeed, although the going is tough and people will not be strewing your path with roses, you can achieve a great deal. Facing reality is the first task on your list, making a practical decision is next, and even if the subject of your deliberations is an emotional one, you need to detach yourself from your feelings. The stone in your shoe is there for a purpose: it is there to stop you from heading in a direction that could cause you greater problems in the future. Take advice from an unbiased source before you make your decision, and if the fates produce a wonderful breakthrough, you have earned every bit of it.
The verdict is in.
26th March 2007 - 1st April 2007 A risk might prove highly worthwhile so if you were considering taking a leap of faith, do so. The point being that in the future you will regret not making a brave move when you had the opportunity and the impulse. Also, even if you miss your target you will surely land on your feet. With Venus currently gracing the relationship zone, other people will be more responsive to your charms and certainly ready to give you a chance, so make that call - or whatever you need to do to advance your cause - and open your heart and mind to new possibilities. And if a relationship turns ever so slightly pear-shaped, just give it a breathing space.
A new view.
2nd April 2007 - 8th April 2007 Venus has reached the most important station on her journey through the zone of relationships - she is perched between Saturn and Neptune, the staging-post between fantasy and reality. Some Scorpios will have selected this week to marry, thus making concrete that which was once only a romance, but others may well have cause to examine just where they are in terms of life in general and relationships in particular. Sometimes family gatherings and special celebrations are the occasions which bring out the very best and worst in people so if you are over-the-moon happy relish this state of affairs and should you be crying into your clam chowder remember tomorrow is another day!
Life is a dream.
9th April 2007 - 15th April 2007 Scorpios don't mince words: you call a spade a shovel and then go to work with it. And it seems there's plenty of digging to do this week. First, Pluto exposes an issue that has been pushed under the carpet, then Jupiter follows by opening up new or better avenues for your skills and loyalties. Money and work are in the main frame here, although a close relationship could be affected by events. In some cases what happens during the course of the next seven days will alter your career horizons but for most Scorpios information exchanged and conclusions reached will simply lead to a sense of release and the emergence of a new resolve.
Emerging truths.
16th April 2007 - 22nd April 2007 Scorpios rarely go back on their word, and once something is over, it's over. However, you might be prepared to change your mind in certain circumstances... Mercury, the planet of ideas, dialogue and movement forms a grand angle of harmony with Saturn and Jupiter thus bringing an old issue into the present and offering you an opportunity to reconsider. It may also be that a matter that has been dragging its feet is about to spring back to life. There is more than one way to crack a nut, as they say, and, although you can never be described as flexible or open to change, now might be the time to look at a very new way to achieve your heart's desire.
Other options.
23rd April 2007 - 29th April 2007 You can release a little of the devil within you now - and to good effect. Maybe someone has been taking you for granted or perhaps people have failed to notice your charms therefore you need to illuminate them! There's a lot to be said for the comfort of the familiar and the safe but it's oh so boring month after month - yet another reason to break free of any chains, especially those that have been self-imposed. Uranus is in full bloom this week, shattering images and blasting new routes through old terrain. And if someone new enters your life now you can be sure he or she will dramatically change it. Under these stars you have to know nothing stays the same forever.
Did the earth move for you?
30th April 2007 - 6th May 2007 A full moon in your sign can be a beautiful thing, and it will certainly empower you. Now is the time to act on your feelings and to make real those things that have been incubating in secret. A bold move will be admired and although you are rarely anything other than black and white in your attitudes and demeanour, a compromise is to be avoided, unless you can truly see the benefits of watering down your intent. A relationship formed now or a contract struck will have lasting effect on your life, therefore it is vital that you are comfortable with every aspect of the commitment.
No time to be a wilting violet.
7th May 2007 - 13th May 2007 This is just the kind of astro-scape in which Scorpio thrives. Pluto's depth-charged influence is creating all-or-nothing scenarios and evoking your most passionate feelings. Of course, this is a wonderful thing if you are in the throes of the great love affair but not so fantastic if you're dealing with the bank manager! Is there any point my advising you to distance yourself from events in order to form a rational judgement? Maybe not, but just before you commit yourself to someone or something just ask yourself: if this goes wrong how will I extricate myself? Great deeds are performed in these times but so too are acts of pure folly.
Veering to extremes.
14th May 2007 - 20th May 2007 If you're open to the new and the different you'll love these stars but should you be hoping for a quiet week, forget it! Jupiter and Uranus are full of mischief, in some cases changing arrangements at the eleventh hour and in others, bringing an unwelcome new element into play in a long-standing situation. Still, if you're ready to make a controversial move or you are happy to go where you have never gone before, there could be real benefits to be gained. Finances, however, are probably the exception to this temporary rule, and you will need to think very carefully before making an expensive purchase or putting your signature to a long-term contract.
Thinking outside the box.
21st May 2007 - 27th May 2007 Ruler, Pluto, is back in business, evoking your strongest feelings and pushing you to extremes. Finances look to be the principle cause of this week's highs and lows but whatever the provocation, don't act in haste. The sale or purchase of a property may prove particularly tricky at the moment so avoid a pre-emptive move and wait until you have all the facts. What initially strikes you as a problem could, in fact, be a plus. And in many ways this advice applies across the board. As each day goes by more and more of a situation unfolds therefore the less emotion you invest in each and every twist in the road, the better your equilibrium and your chances of success.
Take it one step at a time.
28th May 2007 - 3rd June 2007 You may be in the unenviable position of being dictated to at present: other people appear to have the upper hand. However, this is merely a temporary state of affairs and can be turned to your advantage. Six months from now the boot will be on the other foot, so to speak, and you will gain immeasurably from allowing others (including partners) to have their say now. In the fullness of time their opinions and decisions, especially over money, will be proven correct - or just plain wrong. Certainly, there is considerable activity taking place in the financial areas of your horoscope this week, whether you're fending off a cash-flow crisis or happily disposing of large amounts of money.
Money or love; money or love...
4th June 2007 - 10th June 2007 Passion you have in spades but innovation and change are not so easily embraced. However, if you want to make the most of these expansive influences, you have to be prepared to go where you've never been before! I'm not encouraging you to violate the law but I am urging you break a self-imposed rule. As you may know, life is full of regrets, almost always for what we did not do, not what we did, so find your spirit of adventure and set sail into unfamiliar waters. The areas of finance and life-goals are under fantastic influences, so if change and risk are involved here there should be no second thoughts.
What do you have to lose?
11th June 2007 - 17th June 2007 You get a little more help with your plans and should you have been nurturing doubts about the wisdom of an enterprise they could be eradicated. Saturn and Neptune have played havoc with your hopes and dreams over the past few months and while this trend has not entirely faded out, this week puts Mars in a helpful position thus producing a window of opportunity and at least some positive action. Do not delay getting in touch with someone central to your ambitions because once Mercury turns retrograde (16th) people will be difficult to track down and you'll be doing the ansa-phone dance for at least three weeks.
Seizing the moment.
18th June 2007 - 24th June 2007 That famous Scorpio passion owes much to your ruler, Pluto, so when this planet is centre stage, it brings out your best and worst. It seems money is the primary source of this week's ups and downs, although anything that involves your pride, your heart or your security-system is likely to press all your buttons. Perhaps a large and unexpected bill arrives or you have to find a way to purchase a much-desired object... Whatever the case you know you have the wherewithal to deal with it. On the other hand, you may be on the receiving end of a large sum of money or a wonderful window of opportunity will appear.
No half measures.
25th June 2007 - 1st July 2007 One event you can celebrate this week is the final pass of the Saturn-Neptune opposition - an aspect that has, over the past nine months, led you up all manner of blind alleys and caused you to question certain people's sanity. Some Scorpios may indeed reach the end of a long journey now: a mission has been completed satisfactorily and nothing more remains to be done. Others, however, may feel that their efforts have, in the end, come to naught. If this is the case, once the weekend is over pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in that proverbial saddle. Current events are a test of your mettle, and one thing all Scorpios have is mettle!
Stepping up to the plate.
2nd July 2007 - 8th July 2007 Roughly a week ago events may have conspired to bring an end to a situation; if so, you are probably picking up the pieces and reassembling your life. On the other hand, if everything has been just fine and dandy you may still need to look at the general shape of things with a view to making your position stronger and more secure. And this advice applies primarily to your career, and secondly to plans in the pipeline. At this point in time flaws are being revealed or doubts are being raised and the only way to resolve matters is to check the facts, and ensure you yourself have crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's.
Putting the pieces together.
9th July 2007 - 15th July 2007 With Mercury resuming direct motion you need no longer fear that your every journey will be plagued by problems or that the only news reaching you is that which sends your optimism barometer plummeting. Life is looking brighter. The zone of long-distance matters is full of promise, making this an ideal time to embark on a holiday or take a trip for business or pleasure. And if travel is not on your agenda it could be that you are making plans for the future which are inspiring high hopes. Whatever the merits of staying close to home, where your future, and especially you career, is concerned, the further you go, the better.
Distance lends enchantment.
16th July 2007 - 22nd July 2007 If partners have been less than co-operative recently and you seem to be running into one conflict after another, it's time to reappraise your policies. While you are justified in standing up for yourself and pointing out where other people are in error, this behaviour might just be getting in the way of the outcome you want. With no resistance everything flows freely, and it is much, much easier to achieve a positive result when there is no tension. With this in mind, be open to someone's suggestion, even if it has previously conflicted with your own: not only will this disarm your 'opponent' but you yourself might make an unexpected discovery.
Relaxing your grip.
23rd July 2007 - 29th July 2007 I don't mean to raise your levels of paranoia but someone is not being as honest with you as he or she could be. And, by the same token, you could misinterpret other people's actions and intentions. This strange state of play owes everything to Neptune - a planet of smoke and mirrors if ever there was one - so if you do nothing else this week, please count to ten and do your research before you press the self-destruct button. The one great pleasure of such aspects is that they can transform a romance into something much more spiritual and enduring so if you are swept away on a wave of feeling, enjoy the ride.
Unclear intentions.
30th July 2007 - 5th August 2007 One thought to carry with you throughout the week ahead is that no one is immune to these challenging influences, and perhaps you are meeting with a brick wall of opposition simply because someone else got out of bed on the wrong side! Mars and Saturn are tough customers - they deliver good medicine without a sugar-coating - so brace yourself for obstructions of one sort or another. Partners and associates could be particularly difficult to handle and if you're trying to impress an employer or an organization don't expect bouquets and banquets. By contrast if someone delivers at this point, you have earned your rewards from the karma fairies!
No hand-outs.
6th August 2007 - 12th August 2007 You have been in the fortunate position of having generous Jupiter presiding over your financial affairs for the past few months. Now, it is possible that instead of adding to your bank balance you have been spending money left, right and centre - or, worse, seeing your stock fall - however, with Jupiter turning direct on the 7th, you should at last begin to see some genuine financial improvements. This would be an excellent time to invest in property or to make a purchase intended to increase in value over time. And this policy of putting your money where your mouth is, so to speak, could work like a charm in some other areas of life, including a relationship...
Investing in the future.
13th August 2007 - 19th August 2007 It will take time to assimilate the events of this week, so don't be too hard on yourself if you feel insecure and uncertain. Saturn and Neptune have a way of pulling the rug out from beneath our feet, and we need a while to regain our balance. At best you may now witness the conclusion of a matter that has been the cause of considerable effort and anxiety but at worst you may feel that you have lost out in some way. In the fullness of time disappointments will be replaced by victories and people who have gained at your expense will see their crowns tumble. You've played a waiting game before, and you can do so again.
Biding your time.
20th August 2007 - 26th August 2007 If you had to choose an astro-scape in which to make a legally-binding decision, one intended to add to your happiness, your reputation or your bank balance, this would be it. And even if you are doing nothing of note this week, you may reach important conclusions in your own mind. However, if you have been debating whether or not to bring an idea into action or make a move that could radically alter your status, you should do so now. I cannot promise instant success but I can assure you that you have all the planetary ammunition with which to get the ball rolling, so to speak. Show that you're a force to be reckoned with and the force will be with you!
Standing up and being counted.
27th August 2007 - 2nd September 2007 If August was all about blocks and delays September concerns itself with liberation and change. Whether or not this is immediately obvious rather depends but if Uranus and an eclipse have anything to do with it, you'll have your first taste of the new and the different this week. The areas of creativity and collaboration are under extraordinary influences so anything conceived now will create enormous change in your life. There are no accidents at this time - what happens is a consequence of actions and decisions made earlier. Then again, if you've been incubating an idea there has never been a more fertile moment to give it life.
The birth of the new.
3rd September 2007 - 9th September 2007 It takes a while for you to decide to change a situation that has been in place for a long time, but thanks to these dynamite influences you can do just that. Money could be top of the list for a new order, perhaps because a sale or purchase suddenly goes through or you are able to enter a new agreement that will free up finances. On the other hand, something of a more personal or romantic nature might be about to change course, for this is a time of delivery. Ideally, you need to be in the driver's seat here, heading into new territory and refusing to go down roads that have led nowhere but if fate takes you by the hand, so to speak, don't fight it.
In the blink of an eye...
10th September 2007 - 16th September 2007 You may be trying to find your bearings in a sea of change and uncertainty, and, if this is the case, rest assured that it is all in a good cause. On the other hand, if your pond of life is calm and serene, may I suggest you take a look at what's going on under the surface. In the main, this advice applies to a friendship or a collaboration, but if you stumble across a previously unknown fact this week, you can thank your lucky stars - in this case a solar eclipse - for uncovering it. Whatever emerges now is intended to divert you from a course that would ultimately have proved unwise. And, by the same token, offers that arise in mid-September will take you away from familiar territory.
Eyes open.
17th September 2007 - 23rd September 2007 There is nothing grey and wishy-washy about this week's events: the good will be super-fabulous and the bad... Well, let's just say, there will be better days. Pluto is dredging up past history and the theme of settling accounts may not apply just to finances. If you are the one who has reached the point that something - anything! - must be done to resolve an unsatisfactory situation, be prepared for stiff opposition; on the other hand, if someone puts you on the defensive, avoid fighting fire with fire until you are sure you have sufficient ammunition. What happens during the next seven days has been a long time coming.
A climate of extremes.
24th September 2007 - 30th September 2007 It may take another three weeks or so before you really feel in charge of your life but you are
getting there. On the 27th Mercury arrives in your sign freeing up the pipes of communication
and helping you say what you mean and mean what you say! In other words you will be at your
articulate and persuasive best; you may be faced also with the prospect of a lot more
travel. With this in mind this would be an ideal week to road test your health and deal with any
lingering problems that might hinder your progress. And if you have any powerful dreams or
intuitions, treat them seriously - all great projects begin in the mind's eye.
The power of communication.
1st October 2007 - 7th October 2007 Your words carry great weight at present so if you have a project you wish to initiate or you need to talk business with a
colleague or someone in a position of importance, don't waste a second before opening up a dialogue. This is also an excellent
week for travel, especially those journeys that take you back into the past or put you in touch with people who were once an
integral part of your life. You can retrieve lost objects and resurrect endeavours; you can reach into history and extract
crucial information; what you cannot do is allow your pride and your principles to get in the way of a golden opportunity.
A treasure hunt.
8th October 2007 - 14th October 2007 Life is anything but predictable this week so start as you mean to go on and keep your plans and expectations very fluid. Jupiter-Uranus combos can produce wonderful surprises but they can also throw a spanner in the works; more specifically, where two or three large egos are involved, someone is going to get burned ! Use your intuition, especially where finances are concerned, and if someone lights your fire - in the most pleasing of ways - this could prove to be the start of a beautiful thing. In a week as confusing as this it pays to be light hearted and open to alternatives.
Anything goes.
15th October 2007 - 21st October 2007 It is said Scorpios never forget but while this trait may apply to betrayals, kindnesses and situations that generate huge emotional impact, some facts do get lost on you in the mists of time. With this in mind, avoid raking up old history unless you have a real command of the details and, if you're going into business meetings or discussing finances make sure you have the evidence to support your statements. Egg on your face is something you don't need. The week ahead could also take you on a sentimental journey, whether you do indeed travel to a place redolent with memories or events bring to mind people and places that you knew long ago.
Stirring memories.
22nd October 2007 - 28th October 2007 On Tuesday the sun enters your sign replenishing your stores of energy and optimism. At least that's the theory. In practice you may still need a little more time to make up your mind about someone or something. Mercury is not yet back to normal so not everything has yet come to light. With this in mind do not do the first thing that comes into your head, especially in the early part of the week. Should someone make a huge impact on your heart, while acknowledging your feelings avoid acting on them and if you receive news of a surprising nature wait until you have examined the information from all angles before making a judgement.
Gently does it.
29th October 2007 - 4th November 2007 Adventure is not always your 'thing' but with a terrific link between the sun in your sign and Mars in the area of far horizons it seems you are poised for take-off. Maybe you are indeed about to board a flight to a far-off destination but for most Scorpios this theme of taking off applies to your personal or professional life. There is almost nothing you cannot achieve by showing passion and intent, and even if you don't get a hole-in-one so to speak you will have caught someone's attention. More importantly you will have proved something to yourself. There has been a block on certain situations but it is being released this week.
Aim your arrows high.
5th November 2007 - 11th November 2007 Sometimes you just need the right words to make something happen or set a
matter to rights so if you have been searching for inspiration here it
comes. Mercury, the communicator, arrives in your sign on Sunday, leading
you out of the woods and into clarity. You may also find that there is more
movement generally in your life. To add to these bright prospects a new moon
in your sign ushers in a new year-long cycle linked to your personal
aspirations. You may be a sign who finds it difficult to blaze fresh trails
but if you are ready for growth, prepared to live on the edge - at least
for a while - it's time to take the plunge.
A new cycle.
12th November 2007 - 18th November 2007 Life is stranger than fiction this week. Appliances that have shown no signs of problems suddenly refuse to work, situations that have been proceeding without controversy run into difficulties and people whom you can usually trust let you down. So, start as you mean to go on and make sure you back-up all your files and have a plan B for every project. On the plus side, Neptune, Master of Mystery and Magic, could perform something of a miracle, turning a matter over which you had given up into a thriving concern. Also, you may find that demonstrating kindness and forgiveness earns you a reward you had not dreamed of.
The twilight zone.
19th November 2007 - 25th November 2007 However unsure you may be about approaching someone with an offer; no matter how delicate an issue may be to discuss, now is the time to talk the talk. Mercury in your sign is helping you find the right words and urging you to make the opening move. Ideally, you should go into battle, so to speak, before Wednesday because as the week progresses Neptune gains a grip and this planet can undermine your confidence and make the going rather slippery. However, nothing will be gained by doing nothing at this point: trust your inner voice and allow no fears or thoughts of failure to dent your resolve.
A winning move.
26th November 2007 - 2nd December 2007 The best way to deal with this week's large dose of Saturn is take a long, hard look at your finances. You can make some good decisions now, and knowing where you stand has to empower you. By contrast, if an individual or an organization gets difficult over money, do not cut your losses but head to the negotiating table. Facts, figures and strong arguments are the tools you need when labouring under Saturn, and this knowledge alone could be enough to turn a difficulty into a triumph. Under no circumstances slip into a trough of self-doubt; where money is concerned there's always a deal to be done. And if your heart is involved, affirm your self-worth and wait and see.
Facts talk.
3rd December 2007 - 9th December 2007 Whatever Uranus and Saturn may be producing in the way of frustrating delays and U-turns, Venus is more than compensating for by bringing you liberal doses of love and good fortune. This planet will be moving through your sign until early January so you are at the very beginning of a period in which you will be at your personal best, love can blossom and romantic upsets overcome. Nevertheless, the next ten days are far from uneventful, whether you have to remake a Christmas plan or re-jig finances to accommodate an unexpected bill. It's all part of life's rich tapestry, of course, so don't lose your sense of humour along with the plot!
That loving feeling.
10th December 2007 - 16th December 2007 There may be no big event this week that tells you that something in your life is being transformed beyond recognition but beneath the
surface of situations there is much going on. First and foremost this forecast applies to your love life or a close association. It may
be that you are only just beginning a relationship and have no idea where it will take you or you may believe that nothing has changed
in a long-standing association whereas in fact it has. Finances could also be in the frame here, whether you are having to dig deep
in your pockets to cover an unexpectedly large outgoing or because you are on the receiving end of a huge bonus.
No half-way measures.
17th December 2007 - 23rd December 2007 You are resourceful and capable of achieving great things at the best of times but you're in a different league at the moment. Nothing and no one will stand in your way. Of course, there is a price to pay should you be taking a step that will interfere with another's happiness and progress but, perhaps, you are ready for the fall out, prepared to do whatever it takes. Money and love are in the spotlight, so any risks or important developments are likely to involve your heart and/or your wallet. And while you will have some control as to what you do, destiny forms part of the equation. You're going to remember this period of 2008.
All or nothing.
24th December 2007 - 30th December 2007 Getting away from it all is the theme of the week. Some Scorpios will be heading away from home for the holidays while others will be veering away from tradition and celebrating the season in a different way. And with feisty Mars in charge there will be activity in spades and a degree of aggro, both of which can be diluted by not driving yourself and others too hard - this is the season of peace and good will to all men! This is also another of those weeks when life is at extremes so the good will be over-the-moon good and the bad will be... the stuff of next Christmas's funny stories. The weekend unites you with friends and puts you in party spirit.
'Tis the season to be jolly...
31st December 2007 - 6th January 2008 Your horoscope is redolent with the theme - eliminate the negative and input the positive. Now, this is something you can do by taking a long hard look at your life and creating some new strategies to get you where you want to go. On the other hand, you may know already that you are carrying some unnecessary baggage which has to be shed if you are to get anywhere at all. To this end you have ruler, Pluto, on side giving you the courage and the wherewithal to strip away what you no longer need. And if you're still stuck on how to achieve such ends, begin by heaving out the debris of Christmas past.
An elimination process.
7th January 2008 - 13th January 2008 One sure cure for the New Year blues is to change your surroundings. And with a new moon in the zone of travel and communications, if you're not gazing at holiday brochures you could be packing your suitcases. This is going to be a year of travel and new horizons for you, whether these horizons come in the form of new work or home locations or events that give you a fresh canvas for your talents and affections. And it could all take off from here. At the very least, you can become the agent of your own change now by implementing some new regimes and side-lining those things that are preventing you from going where you need to go.
No holding back.
14th January 2008 - 20th January 2008 You are in extravagant mood: a spend-fest in the shopping mall for some, a large chunk
of your capital invested in a major enterprise for others, and for all a week in which
moderation is not an option. Then there's being over-the-top with your feelings...
A Christmas romance may be getting rather more serious and if sex has been but a distant memory
prepare to be shaken and stirred. Passion can be a double edged sword, of course, because in
some cases it's not loving desires that are being stirred but disenchantment. The weekend
looks to be the time to discover which is your lot, so please remember that out of the heat of
the moment spring a lot of potential regrets.
A climate of extremes.
21st January 2008 - 27th January 2008 There's nothing Scorpio likes more than being taken to the edge: your life is one of huge peaks and troughs from which you get your
extraordinary resilience and drive - or maybe that's the other way around. And this is one of those periods when events take you to the
heights or the depths - no grey zones for you this week. It may be money that is the source of controversy but it is more likely to be a
situation that draws deeply on your emotions. My advice is to do nothing in the heat of the moment - you could be short on information and
other people may be misinformed so giving matters a little time to settle could make all the difference between a drama with a happy ending and
a tragedy.
Get your facts straight.
28th January 2008 - 3rd February 2008 Situations are very fluid so try not to get frustrated if you cannot achieve the outcome you were hoping for at present. There is a good
reason for a delay and you may be very glad that more water was able to flow under the bridge before you put signatures on contracts, so
to speak. Indeed, this water analogy could be quite literal for some Scorpios since there is a trend for leaks and problems with household
appliances. Of course, there could be other kinds of leaks too... The rumour mill could be grinding at full tilt this week so you must do
your best to separate fact from fiction and avoid becoming involved in a situation that could backfire on you.
Keeping your integrity and your cool.
4th February 2008 - 10th February 2008 Solar eclipses are a sign of change - not just any change but one that is significant and has long-lasting consequences. It may be that you know already of imminent changes and are preparing for them - a house move perhaps or a new member of the family - but if nothing comes to mind, and you have a 7th - 12th November birthday, a totally unexpected development could necessitate considerable rearrangement of your plans. This is not the time to leave anything to chance, especially anything of a mechanical nature that is sending out distress signals, nor is it the moment to tell a little white lie and hope it will be believed.
Many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip.
11th February 2008 - 18th February 2008 Sun-Neptune conjunctions can undermine your confidence and inflate your paranoia so if a doubt enters your mind now, do not give it energy by dwelling on it but put it to one side and wait until you have solid evidence. All right, someone may fail to live up to your high standards of passion and commitment but that doesn't mean there is no life in the liaison. Also, proof of love does not rest on one day's actions, and if you give a person a little space you may find that he or she makes the most wonderful moves. On the 17th, Venus arrives at the base of the chart where she will pour love into your life at root level. Give love a chance.
Wait and see.
18th February 2008 - 24th February 2008 Even if life is currently hunky dory for you, you cannot fail to notice how some people are coping with a major crisis. It is the nature of total
lunar eclipses to bring simmering issues to boiling point and to generate events that have a life-changing quality about them. So, whether
you are dealing with your own set of eclipse dramas or witnessing other people's, there is much to be said for understanding that time and
timing are important factors. Saturn's presence guarantees that a harvest is being reaped or one is being sown, thus there can be no legal
short-cuts adopted nor actions taken in the belief that there will be no king sized consequences.
Knowing right from wrong.
25th February 2008 - 2nd March 2008 When life is good at root level positive energy streams into the rest of your existence. Now, for some Scorpios a new entente cordiale has
begun on the home front and you are feeling the benefits already but for others the pay off for current actions is yet to come. This is a premium
period for making the most of your four square walls, whether you renovate and refurbish or because the nurture and time you put into the family
breeds happiness and contentment. The early part of the week is the optimum moment to make a move intended to add to your lot and if you've
not succeeded so far in bringing someone over to your way of thinking, try again.
Feeling good.
10th March 2008 - 16th March 2008 There's something very satisfying about being able to draw a line under a matter so get out your ruler and pen, you're going to need them. You can assume a plan will get
the go-ahead and you can expect people to tell you precisely what they think, however, if you have been barking up the wrong tree, so to speak, you're about to discover the
error of your intentions. Saturn is responsible for any epiphanies or any developments that signal the end of a matter; the only question is just how pleased you will be with the
outcomes. This period of the year is full of opportunities to right a wrong, whether you're on the receiving end of an apology or making one.
Settling up.
3rd March 2008 - 9th March 2008 This is just how you like your astrology - passionate and unequivocal. Mars opposes Pluto giving you
the courage to tackle anyone and anything and enabling you to find resources you didn't even think
you had. Nonetheless, this is not a climate in which you can act with impunity, nor is it the time to
commit an act of revenge, even if you are in the right. Some Scorpios will receive information that
confirms their hopes or fears while others will have an experience that sets life in a new perspective.
And, in general, events of the week ahead make you think long and hard about your priorities. You can go
far now yet you can also fall into a hole of your own making.
Integrity is your currency.
17th March 2008 - 23rd March 2008 Pluto transits bring out the best and worst in Scorpio so, if you know you have a difficult
matter to deal with, do your best to rise above any feelings of anger or fear. That way
you'll see more alternatives and you won't have made an enemy for life. A new
venture or relationship could start now and, if so, it will prove utterly transformational.
Also, if you are ready to make a transition of any sort you have the planets' blessing.
One factor to be aware of, however, is that Friday's full moon could drain your physical
and emotional batteries thus it is not only vital not to sweat the small stuff but also to
take time out to look after number one - you.
Veering to extremes.
24th March 2008 - 30th March 2008 Your taste buds should be tingling with this week's astrological fare. There is nothing ordinary and predicable about
events - life comes at you like an express train and takes you on a thrills-and-spills journey. Indeed, travel
may well be the reason this week is memorable. Ideally, you should be heading off to foreign places and seeing parts of
your world you have never seen before, however, the theme of going into unfamiliar territory may work in an altogether
different way bringing you experiences that alter your belief systems and putting your hard won principles into the
shredder. Life may not be restful but it will be riveting.
A change is as good as a rest?
31st March 2008 - 6th April 2008 Pluto, your ruler, is centre stage evoking your very best - and your very worst, by which I mean
should someone or something upset you you will bring out all your big guns to retaliate! On the plus
side, an endeavour on which you have worked long and hard will be successfully completed but, on the
minus side, it won't take much to make you press your self-destruct button. If you're ready
to burn your bridges, this is the time to do so but if you know you will need a certain person or
situation in the future, don't be tempted to use the dynamite.
Moderation in all things...
7th April 2008 - 13th April 2008 There is movement and drama to life, much of it inspired by you. Perhaps you have been mulling over an
idea for a while or maybe you have been waiting for a green light of some description, but whatever has
been incubating gently is ready to see the light of day. And never one to do anything in moderation you
will probably make a big splash this week. Certainly, you should have confidence in your abilities and,
let's face it, someone needs to get things moving, so even if your efforts gather criticism or you
appear to have bitten off more than you can chew, you will be a lot further forward than you were six
weeks ago.
Showing what you're made of.
14th April 2008 - 20th April 2008 The sun's arrival in the seventh house of relating begins a two-month period in which much can happen regarding your love life in particular and relationships in general. And this weekend could give you your first taste of what is to come. On the one hand, it is the right time to commit yourself to someone, body and soul, and, on the other, the moment has come to put a relationship under the microscope, and if there are deep-seated fissures a decision will need to be made as to whether or not those gaps can be bridged. Nevertheless, this is a largely positive period of the year and one when other people present you with ideas and offers that have plenty to recommend them.
An open mind and an open heart.
21st April 2008 - 27th April 2008 Not for you are the grey, insipid colours of life - black or white is how you view the world and its
offerings, especially under stars like these. For some Scorpios this is a period of peak achievement and
joy but for others it is quite the reverse - all the worst aspects of a situation appear to have
evolved. While you want to fully enjoy your moment in the sun, if you are facing a spiralling difficulty,
do your best to detach emotionally and wait until the dust settles. A helpful alignment involving the
sun, Saturn and Pluto indicates that there are people who can and will help and that in the long run all
will be well.
Either-or.
28th April 2008 - 4th May 2008 Be very careful how you interpret other people's words and deeds. There is a chance that you will
hear what you want to hear rather than the truth. Sometimes people do run into situations they can do
nothing about and you have to decide whether you trust that person enough to override your own feelings
of disappointment or whether you must deliver one of your famous lessons! There are some divine
influences presiding over the relationship sector which will bode well for marriages and commitments made
this week; however, if you decide to end a relationship you may have cause to regret your actions in
time to come.
No snap judgements.
5th May 2008 - 11th May 2008 If you've been looking for a sign that someone loves you or hoping to turn a light-hearted romance into a
passionate and abiding commitment, here it is. A new moon in the area of relationships, together with Venus, ups
the happiness factor in affairs of the heart and at the very least opens up a new avenue of exploration! This
is the perfect time to marry or partner up, whether for love or business, and if you meet someone new you have a
serious chance of turning it into a happy-ever-after story. Your career could also be boosted by these
influences so if you've been putting off a meeting with a superior, go for it now.
Perfect timing.
12th May 2008 - 18th May 2008 If you cannot find even a whisker of happiness under these stars, it's time to assess what belief systems need
throwing into the dustbin. Other people are ready to show you how much they believe in you, and, in some cases, how
much they love you. This would be the perfect moment to marry or make a commitment of the heart: it would also
be the ideal time to put your signature to a contract of a professional nature. And, if you've been far too
focused on getting ahead in the world or making ends meet now is your opportunity to remind yourself that the most
important thing in life is to love and be loved.
A commitment to love.
19th May 2008 - 25th May 2008 Take a look at the full moon early in the week because it will be in your sign, and when the moon is in your sign you are empowered and enlightened. Certainly, your feelings will be stirred by this week's events, hopefully because of the warm and wonderful words and gestures being heaped upon you by someone you love. However, if you feel betrayed or let down by an individual or an organization, do your best not to take it too personally. It is possible that someone has received incorrect information or that you are misinterpreting a certain person's actions so rather than dig a great big hole for yourself, resist making a response.
Take a rain-check.
26th May 2008 - 1st June 2008 The ideal move to make in these astrological circumstances is no move at all! Thus, if you are taking a break from work or idling away the next seven days you'll be in synch with your stars. On the other hand, should you be trying to tie up arrangements and hoping to get someone to sign on the dotted line, don't hold your breath. Neptune and Mercury both perform a reverse turn on Monday, causing communication hiccups and making many people even more cautious about stating their position. And, of course, you may feel exactly the same. This trend will be very noticeable this week and there in the background until the end of June.
Keeping your options open.
2nd June 2008 - 8th June 2008 You are at your most inscrutable at the moment. Perhaps you have ideas that are not yet fully formed so
you do not wish to share them with anyone, or maybe a situation is puzzling you and you are in the
process of laying traps! Conversely, a close associate or an organization with whom you have
financial interests, may be withholding information. Whatever the case, you will make some kind of
discovery this week. Finances are looking brighter so if you've been facing a wall of bureaucratic
opposition or dealing with a partner who is being less than generous a return to the negotiating table
could prove entirely fruitful.
Dealing with the opposition.
9th June 2008 - 15th June 2008 This is not the time to resort to firearms to resolve a dispute or get satisfaction. Your weapons
should be a soft touch and the pipe of peace. Not for the first time has there been an aura of
everything-working-out-as-it-should surrounding your affairs so although you cannot
totally abdicate responsibility for your actions you can leave a large part of what happens to the
universe. Finances require careful handling and it may be that you have overlooked a matter that should
have been dealt with some time ago or someone could back out of a verbal agreement. Whatever the
inconvenience, making a drama out of it won't solve anything.
A hiccup not a hurricane.
16th June 2008 - 22nd June 2008 Your reputation as the zodiac's passion flower springs from your ruling planet, Pluto. And this
planet is in the ascendant this week. Yes, you have a perfect outlet for your love and passion, and, as
long as it is confined to the bedroom, all will be well. But should something not please and delight
you, those in the firing line had better run for cover. Of course, you must be true to your feelings
and sometimes other people need to know where they stand with you but you must be very careful not to
sabotage a situation that still has much to offer. Think like a chess player - ten moves ahead
- and walk away if necessary.
Keep a cool head.
23rd June 2008 - 29th June 2008 Do you feel you have far to go? Do you have big travel plans or does a goal seem out of reach?
There are many ways to interpret these stars but what you must remember is there is no distance a true
Scorpio will not go for what or who it really wants. Saturn is in a great position to help you
consolidate your position now; it will also put flesh on the skeleton of an idea. You may not quite
have your wings yet but what you do this week in the way of speaking to people who are crucial to your
future or simply heading in the direction you intend to go will create a solid platform for you. Tell
yourself you're getting there.
On your way.
30th June 2008 - 6th July 2008 If you are about to set off on holiday, take an important business trip or merely thinking about such activities you are perfectly in-synch with your stars. The area of long-distance travel is lit up like a Christmas tree urging you to spread your wings and take off to foreign parts. Then again, this could be simply a metaphor for breaking through boundaries of one sort or another. There is an aura of the unexpected to build into your weekly planner too, whether you receive some surprise news or a project has to be changed due to force of circumstance. Nevertheless, even an inconvenience could turn out to be a blessing.
A journey in the making.
7th July 2008 - 13th July 2008 Scorpio loves a challenge, which is fortunate since you have more than one of them this week. Not everyone is going to see the world quite how you see it, and with Saturn and Pluto in the mix, it will be easy for people to take a very adversarial position. And, of course, you may be even more inclined than usual to dig in your toes... With this in mind, start the week with the firm intention of remaining flexible and philosophical in the face of changes and other people's unaccommodating behaviour. There could be exceptional circumstances interfering with arrangements and, especially if you are travelling or in meetings, have a Plan B up your sleeve.
An alternative view.
14th July 2008 - 20th July 2008 The zone of far horizons is the setting for this week's far-reaching influences. Yes, you might be setting off on a journey or planning a trip in the future but you could be taking steps that will change a small or large part of your life too. There is an enormous amount of good will and good luck in these stars so rather than miss an opportunity for fear of making a mistake, take a leap of faith. Friday's full moon could up the emotional amps and make for some misunderstandings and travel delays but even these could turn out to be blessings - and certainly fodder for funny stories of the future.
Taking a chance.
20th July 2008 - 27th July 2008 You are beginning a month-long period in which career and life-goals become a high priority. Perhaps you know this already because you have meetings lined up and important people to connect with but if you want to make the most of your upwardly-mobile stars now is the time to get your ducks in a row. Normally, you prefer to use methods that have been tried and tested but you are changing and the world is changing so you need some new strategies. What comes to you in the way of dreams and intuitions could turn out to be the way forward. Instead of allowing history to be your teacher, go make history!
New directions.
28th July 2008 - 3rd August 2008 Each year may produce a crossroads or two and of the many astrological factors that bring you to a junction eclipses top the list. And there is a total solar eclipse on Friday in the zone of career and life-goals. You may know already that the company for whom you work is making plans to restructure or you could be considering changing your job; either way this eclipse is the trigger to such eventualities. It could take the rest of the month before you know precisely what is to happen but talks taking place this week and moves being made, especially behind the scenes, are the stuff of major change. There is nothing to fear, however, you are more than ready for change.
The winds of change.
4th August 2008 - 10th August 2008 You can only deal in the currency of truth. Keep saying this to yourself this week and you'll be fine. There is too much mist and murk surrounding one or more situations so it will be difficult to make a judgement that you are going to be happy about in the long term. Maintain an open mind when people divulge information to you and should your worst suspicions be aroused, do not act on them. Yet. A friendship could be particularly vulnerable to the current cosmic confusion and you would be better giving someone who has always been your supporter and confidant the benefit of the doubt. In a week or so matters will look very different.
Be wise not headstrong.
11th August 2008 - 17th August 2008 You won't be the only one in a haze of confusion. These stars are enough to put anyone in a head spin. Sometimes you just have to allow events to unravel before trying to carve out a sensible solution, and this is one of those times when a hasty action could prove untimely. Not all the facts will be available to you yet and until you have gained clarity you won't be able to see all your options. Should you have a special occasion in view, do your best to overlook minor crimes and misdemeanours and if Saturn rains on your on your parade, remember that times of adversity bring out the very best in the best of people.
Stiff upper lip.
18th August 2008 - 24th August 2008 There's much to be said for staying within your boundaries yet unless you stray beyond them how do you grow and change? It is the job of planet Uranus to shake us out of our complacency and to force us into new territory, which he is planning to do this week. An event or endeavour may have to be brought forward or someone could arrive unexpectedly. It may not be easy to get your bearings in this kind of climate and it may seem as if the fates are upsetting your plans and intentions, however, it is quite the reverse: what comes into being suddenly and inopportunely will open up your world and release you from an unnecessary obligation.
The unusual and the unexpected.
25th August 2008 - 31st August 2008 Some two weeks ago Mars angled Pluto thereby bringing to your attention a matter that had
lain hidden for a long time. And even if you cannot recall such an event what happens during
the course of the next seven days may well have its origins in mid-August. It
doesn't take much to ignite your passions but you may need to be careful who and what
you burn now. Once those bridges are gone, it may take forever to rebuild them... Of course,
you could be more than ready to enter a new phase of your life in which case you will
experience pure joy as you deposit your left-overs in the dustbin of history.
Eliminating the negative.
1st September 2008 - 7th September 2008 A wise Scorpio will stop and take stock of its position now. What may initially strike you as a negative could, in fact, be a positive. In roughly ten days time there will be a change in the wind, so rather than opting for a short-term fix you should, perhaps, adopt a more adventurous strategy. And this advice could apply to a friendship, working association or a business endeavour. Other people may not expect you to handle a minor disappointment or rebuff with such equanimity, which could prompt a consolation prize, even a change of heart. There is an element of karma to these stars, whether you re seeing the outcome of past actions or setting a chain of events in motion.
Taking stock.
8th September 2008 - 14th September 2008 A secret could be out or a relationship that has been incubating for some while may be ready for take off. Certainly, there is an element of deliverance in these stars. Scorpio is not a sign that jumps in and out of situations on a regular basis - you are cautious and tactical - but there are untold benefits in recognizing when a situation is ready to change, when you are ready for change, and seizing the moment. Uranus is renowned for rocking the boat but with Jupiter in tow it seems any breaks with convention or any out of the blue developments will do you more favours than disfavours.
Trust in the universe.
15th September 2008 - 21st September 2008 Passion and Scorpio are synonymous, and should anyone have questioned the strength of your feelings and your level of commitment he or she will be in no doubt now. While some Scorpios will be giving birth to a new venture or revealing their intentions others will be cutting their losses. Indeed, there could be a financial aspect to this week's developments and this is certainly a perfect moment to take a realistic look at a money matter and make some sensible decisions. In a little over a week Venus will enter your sign bringing balance back into your life and soothing troubled emotional and financial waters.
A climate of extremes.
22nd September 2008 - 28th September 2008 On the 24th Venus enters your sign with the intention of adding to your
bank of happiness. You have four weeks to maximize your powers of
attraction, both in the way of inspiring romantic feelings in someone
and bringing those things into your life that are much desired. And with
Mercury turning retrograde on the same day a past connection could prove
vital, whether in the sense of introducing you to someone new or opening
a window of opportunity. Should this week produce a rejection or a
delay, put a positive face on the situation because this may turn out to
be a temporary blip or an alternative could prove even more
advantageous.
Hope lives!
29th September 2008 - 5th October 2008 This is shaping up to be a dynamic period for you. Venus, already in your sign, is making life sweeter than ever – and if you haven't noticed that yet, perhaps you need to forgive a minor misdemeanour – and now sexy, go-getting Mars arrives in Scorpio. Aside from this marking the beginning of a six-week period in which your love-life gets a shot in the arm, you will be invincible in any battle of wills, any challenge at all. However, therein lies the rub... While you may defeat your opponents and show the world you are a force to be reckoned with, you may lose something precious in the bargain. Pyrrhic victories are rarely worth the effort or the fall-out.
Make love, not war.
6th October 2008 - 12th October 2008 Romance is in the air, whether you have recently met someone who's got your attention or because you can bring the magic back to a relationship by taking some quality time out with your partner. Indeed, there's a lot that love can do to mend fences and set you on a more positive course. The sun is still closeted in the reclusive twelfth house, which may explain why you feel a little uncertain about the depth of someone else's love and commitment but there should be signs and signals this week that give you heart. This could also be the right time to discreetly put out feelers, whether in the pursuit of love or some other much desired goal.
Feel the lurve.
13th October 2008 - 19th October 2008 You should believe in your dreams. Your psyche is operating at full pitch giving you deep insights into situations and enabling you to read the subtle shifts in other people's feelings and intentions. Plus, your dream life could be worthy of an Oscar. However, this may not be the moment to act on those intuitions and intimations but to store them up and consider how best to bring them into reality, or not, as the case may be. But while the inner-you may be sparking on all four cylinders the physical-you could be over-stressed and in need of rest and recuperation. And should you be at all concerned about your health now is the time to fix it.
Gently does it.
20th October 2008 - 26th October 2008 On the 23rd, the sun emerges from the deeps of the twelfth house and into your sign, and in its wake come clarity and conviction. It may be that you have something of an epiphany and can therefore steer yourself in the right direction or it could be that information reaching you now helps you make up your mind. On balance, everything looks very much in your favour so this is an excellent time to set matters in motion, whether those matters concern finances or more personal and romantic plans. During the first week of November you will have less control of the ball, so take advantage of this astrological tail-wind while you have it.
Get ready, get set: Go!
27th October 2008 - 2nd November 2008 A new moon in your sign begins a fresh year-long cycle, out of which will come one or more opportunities to expand your
life. And with feisty Mars in Scorpio too, hooking up to fortunate Jupiter, you could be in for a stroke of sheer good luck.
Of course, as a true-blue Scorpio you believe you create your own good fortune so rather than wait for your lottery
numbers to come up go market an asset or two. There could be better news on the family and property front; for some, a sale
could be back on the table and for others a mystery over a relative could be resolved. All in all a week to affirm your
value and count your blessings.
Feeling lucky.
3rd November 2008 - 9th November 2008 With Mars in your sign you have more than enough drive to get you anywhere you want but now Neptune, the planet of mist and murk, is in the picture too you must be careful not to accidentally plunge yourself into an emotional quagmire. Or, indeed, a muddle of any description. You may also need to be extra vigilant with machinery and appliances, and should something you rely on emit a distress signal, don't put it to the test but call in the professionals. You yourself could be in two minds about a situation, which is another reason why no action is the best action for now. In a week or so, you will see everything rather differently.
Getting a grip.
10th November 2008 - 16th November 2008 Full moons always up the emotional amps so that passionate declarations are made in the heat of the moment - and
there's no one more passionate than a Scorpio - thus, if you want nothing to change, avoid giving vent to your
feelings. This full moon flanks the relationship axis making this a time of endings and beginnings, and with Neptune as a
centrepiece, there is an element of the mysterious involved. Perhaps only now someone feels ready to declare his or her
intentions or maybe a partner's actions will prove questionable but whatever inspires this particular crossroads, do not
commit yourself unless you are truly sure.
This way or that?
17th November 2008 - 23rd November 2008 Telling a white lie might be necessary at times but in this kind of astrological climate it could prove very ill-advised. Truth is an essential commodity and even a watered-down statement of fact could be in your worst interests. Then again, you may believe you are acting on solid evidence yet somewhere along the line you have misinterpreted the information. Thus, before you give an opinion or put your signature to a document, acquire some guarantees. By contrast, if you are in the throes of a wonderful romance, don't try to bring it down to earth by insisting on commitments... you may find that they come naturally from the heart.
Truth counts.
24th November 2008 - 30th November 2008 This could turn out to be rather an expensive period of the year. Maybe several bills have come in all at once or perhaps there are presents to buy and investments to make. Whatever the case, if you're stuck for something to do, now would be the time to take your finances to task and set about making yourself more solvent. You could be helped here by an unexpected breakthrough regarding a contract or someone's generosity - a sale may also take place soon to your benefit. Not that this week's stars are all about balancing the budget... it seems there's some fun to be had and some serious loving to do.
A bit of this and a bit of that.
1st December 2008 - 7th December 2008 If you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, take a moment before deciding which is the lesser of two evils. You are a sign driven by your passions thus if you allow strong emotions to override reason you may come to regret your hasty actions. Yet you are also cautious and prefer the familiar so there have been times in the past when you have turned down a major opportunity simply because it would take you out of your comfort zone. At this juncture there are no guarantees that the old and familiar will prove secure and you might be far better reaching out and embracing the new, provided you don't, of course, do so on the spur of the moment.
Taking a chance.
8th December 2008 - 14th December 2008 After a period of uncertainty, you know what's what. Now, this satisfactory state of affairs may come about because you have reached a decision in your own mind, or, more probably, events will conspire to set you straight. Top of the list for a reality check are finances, whether a transaction cannot go forward as planned or because people with whom you share monetary resources do not see eye to eye. But whatever brings you to a crossroads, take your time before committing thought to action. Many people will be on the horns of a dilemma this week so if you can keep your head and your sense of humour you'll be in the winner's circle.
Cool, calm and connected!
15th December 2008 - 21st December 2008 Mars in the area of money and self-worth is hard pressed by Saturn, which may translate as a temporary cash-flow problem or a less than warm and wonderful exchange with a loved one. It really is a case of seeing the glass half-empty as opposed to half-full so give yourself a pep-talk and re-frame the situation that is causing the aggro. It might also help to realize that everyone is labouring under the same trying set of influences so what looks like a personal attack on your ideas and plans is nothing more than a reflection and response to a general climate of grumpiness and pessimism. All this will change – put on those Christmas lights and enjoy the sparkle.
Raining on your parade?
22nd December 2008 - 28th December 2008 This is just how you like it – deep, dark and intense. And we're not talking chocolate mousse here but the astrological climate. Clearly, this is not the time to get trigger-happy with the self-destruct button but it is the moment to give your all to an endeavour and people you love. Indeed, you could have chosen this week to take your vows or make some other major life move. On the other hand, if you are travelling or meeting people from the far corners of the globe, prepare to be patient and don't allow minor incidents to spiral out of control. 'Tis the season to be jolly and to leave the thorns where they belong – on the holly!
Operating from the heart.
29th December 2008 - 4th January 2009 Goodbyes and good news could both be in your stars. And journeys of one sort or another are about to be made. Aside from taking a holiday or returning home, which often involve both sadness and joy, it seems you are starting out on a year with hope in your heart but leaving someone or something behind. Sometimes Scorpio can wallow in emotional quagmires, but there is really no need to do this now: Jupiter is poised to take up residence at the base of your horoscope and throughout 2009 this planet will bestow its powers of divine protection and abundance over your life, and those things you hold so dear.
Feel the joy.
5th January 2009 - 11th January 2009 On Monday, Jupiter arrives at one of the most beneficial points of your solar chart. From its new position this planet of increase will offer you protection across the board so that difficulties will be mitigated and there will be triumphs and certainly improvements. Plus, if you were thinking of starting or adding to your family, you couldn't have a better omen. But all that lies in the future, for now there is a full moon and Mercury's turning retrograde so travel and communications will have their share of little inconveniences, especially on Sunday. In which case it may be worth reminding yourself that many journeys in life are educational.
Increase.
12th January 2009 - 18th January 2009 There is good news to be had, although you may have to look for it, and probably by digging into the past. You may have forgotten a cheque you should have cashed or an invitation you might like to take up so, if you do nothing else of importance this week, sift through that pile of papers and give your memory a work out. This would also be a good week to review plans that you made some months ago: not only has your position changed but in the interim advantages have arisen – most probably of a financial nature – that could make a positive difference all round. Life may not be zipping along at the speed of sound but it is taking you where you need to go.
A beneficial discovery.
19th January 2009 - 25th January 2009 If there were a piece of advice that went with this astro-scape it would be count your blessings. It's at this period of the year that the bills start arriving and other painful realities have to be faced but Jupiter's conjunction to the sun helps you establish a few priorities and feel good about it. There could be additions to the home, whether these come in the form of new family members or domestic changes, and you should have faith in your plans for the future. Quite what is happening on the romantic front is another story altogether but is there any point my urging you to restrain yourself? The heart has its reasons, as does the universe.
Much to be thankful for.
26th January 2009 - 1st February 2009 Everything has a beginning and with a solar eclipse at the base of your horoscope something is stirring at root level. It could be plans for a home move, changes for a member of the family or a development that will add to your overall security. However, the more important effect will be a shift in consciousness in you, a new awareness, that will bring about positive changes in more than one area of life. Whatever is begun at this time will add a new dimension to your existence so rather than fear any events that alter a long-standing pattern, see them as stepping stones to a brighter future.
A sudden shift.
2nd February 2009 - 8th February 2009 The foundations of your world could be rocking and rolling due to recent events and even if you are sitting pretty this is not the moment to take anyone or anything for granted. Not that you should give in to the old paranoia syndrome. Maybe someone is not going to say what you want to hear and perhaps a situation is going to turn completely pear-shaped but rather than confront matters head on you should come back to yourself and affirm your value. Once you are strong in yourself, fears recede. By contrast, if something does perform a 180¡ turn this week – and in a way you don't appreciate - don't try to turn back time.
Strengthen your commitment.
9th February 2009 - 15th February 2009 Leeks and mysterious muddles may not be on your wish list but they could be in your stars, and this is not the week to ignore that funny sound the washing machine is making nor the signals someone appears to be sending. Should you be in negotiation on a property don't leave anything to chance and if you're dealing with home or members of the family make sure everything is watertight. As for love... you may get all you dreamed of and more from this Neptunian cocktail but if you feel someone has let you down, don't issue an ultimatum until you are really sure you can live with the consequences.
Facts before fantasies.
16th February 2009 - 22nd February 2009 With all the intense activity at the base of your horoscope home is unlikely to be a haven of calm and serenity; on the other hand, you could be enjoying all the comings and goings. This is an ideal time to add to your lot, both in the way of welcoming new members of the family or improving the home. And although the housing market may be far from perky you could make a wise property move at this time. Once hope and faith are restored in your soul you will have the confidence and the vision to blaze new trails, and if Mars and Jupiter have their way, this may well happen before the end of the month.
Making additions.
23rd February 2009 - 1st March 2009 It may seem as if you've been dealing with one problem after another since the year began but one of those issues could be resolved this week. First and foremost this could apply to a family or property matter, and it may be that someone who or something that fell through some weeks ago is showing signs of life. There is certainly nothing to be lost by knocking at a door, so to speak, and letting people know that you are still interested and prepared to re-negotiate your position. Never underestimate the power of charm and persistence, whether the focus for your efforts is financial and material or romantic.
If at first you don't succeed...
2nd March 2009 - 8th March 2009 You're somewhat out of your comfort zone. You'd like to be on firm ground, you'd love someone to give you a sensible statement but no matter how hard you try two and two keep adding up to five. There are ways of negotiating the week ahead and immediately attending to a minor problem is one of them; not allowing your fears to get the better of you is another. Even if you are on the receiving end of some very welcome developments, it will be necessary to check every last detail and to have promises and offers in black and white. And this advice will be worth remembering for most of March.
No stone unturned.
9th March 2009 - 15th March 2009 Success often demands an element of risk so if the only factor preventing you from taking a great opportunity is fear of change, master your fear. This is a climate in which extraordinary developments occur. An event you were expecting to take place at a much later date could be brought forward and a plan that was all but set in cement could be radically altered. You value those who stick to their principles and remain rooted to their ideas, regardless of alternatives, but the more flexible and open you are the more you stand to gain. And if events turn out to be anything but to your taste, assume it is the sort of medicine that will do you the power of good.
The unusual and the unexpected.
16th March 2009 - 22nd March 2009 The cosmos is a little short on joy but it is packed with the unusual and the unexpected. Deliveries could arrive suddenly and well before their due date and an announcement could take you by surprise. And by the same token you could have some surprises of your own to deliver. There is always an advantage to being the one who makes a unscheduled move so if you sense an impending change get all your ducks in a row. You are in transition, whether you are fully behind what is going on or grappling with events that are being thrust upon you. One thing is for sure, you won't be in the same position this time next year.
Adapting to a new rule.
23rd March 2009 - 29th March 2009 If there's one sign that loves solving a mystery it is Scorpio, and if there's one sign that knows how to bait a trap, it's yours. And you have perfect stars for digging and delving. It may be that information comes to light confirming your suspicions or that your patience with someone finally snaps but whatever the crunch point it has been a long time coming, and radical actions are necessary. The work place could be the focus for these transforming influences, and, even if you are relatively safe and secure, a revamp of some description could only prove helpful. Under Pluto, something's gotta give.
Disclosures.
30th March 2009 - 5th April 2009 Pluto has been occupying the zone of communications for a few months so already you may be noticing that your thinking is changing on one or more long-range plans. Indeed, your thinking may be changing on some things closer to home too. Your Fixed nature means that you stick to your opinions and believe experience is your greatest teacher but the current state of play demands some fresh strategies, which may mean you have to change your mind. With this in view if you experience a red light of any description, go back to the drawing board and re-jig your ideas. You may be surprised to discover there are other routes to your destination.
Reinvent, recycle and rethink.
6th April 2009 - 12th April 2009 It's time to help and heal yourself! Delegate the chores and trim your schedule, if not a few other things besides. When you work with the astrology, life flows far better and this is the appropriate period of the year to put your health under the microscope and eliminate excesses of any kind. And if you were wondering where any weaknesses in the system were – and we're not just talking health here – the full moon of the 10th will expose them. Mercury arrives in the relationship zone also on the 10th setting the stage for some important discussions and speeding important messages towards you.
Getting in shape.
27th April 2009 - 3rd May 2009 It's that old Pluto theme coming back to remind you that everything has its sell-by date. Perhaps you will ransack the kitchen cupboard and throw out a few cans and jars but the really important process will be getting rid of those things in your life that are toxic. You could have been debating whether or not to keep a friendship going or to continue with a working commitment but it has taken until now to know what to do. And whatever your decision it will be right – there is an element of destiny in these stars. One thing you might not want to do, however, is give someone the ammunition with which to fight back.
Doing the right thing.
13th April 2009 - 19th April 2009 Are you ready for a roller-coaster ride? Hopefully, you've got a date with a difference already in your diary but if you're looking at a blank page and complaining that nothing ever happens to you, fasten your seat belt! You have reached a point in the year when it is appropriate to welcome in a new season, and while this may already be in evidence in nature you may be blind to the need for change in your own life. With this in mind, allow your inner-child some play time and awaken a few people to the fact that you have hidden talents. And should you be facing an unexpected interference to your plans, simply go with the flow.
Anything goes.
20th April 2009 - 26th April 2009 This could be rather an important week. Certainly, what happens over the next few days will open your eyes, whether to a current reality or possibilities for the future. Someone could make you an offer that might seem too good to be true and, while often I would urge caution, on this occasion the universe could be giving you a helping hand. Pluto is invariably around when life-altering events occur so if you do find yourself with a big decision to make, have the confidence to do so. And if the week goes by with ne'r a ripple on life's smooth pond, look a little deeper into someone's actions.
Divine providence.
4th May 2009 - 10th May 2009 Saturday's full moon in Scorpio is glowing just for you. This would be the perfect moment to commit yourself body and soul to the person you love or the time to remind yourself of the reason you and your partner got together in the first place. And a sentimental journey is recommended, not a trip down recrimination lane! Plus, even though Mercury will be turning on his wingĂ"d heel there is every reason to have faith in the commitments undertaken this week and the offers and opportunities that arise. All right, everything may take a little longer than you expected and there could be some frustrating detours but you will get there.
Those ties that bind...
11th May 2009 - 17th May 2009 You may need to remind yourself of the truism: if it looks too good to be true it probably is. Jupiter and Neptune are both divine and deceptive so you will have to put in extra hours separating fact from fiction. Nonetheless, this has been a trying year, one in which hard realities have had to be faced time and time again, so there is much to be said for allowing your imagination and your heart to take flight. The weekend could be the setting for an emotional gathering and if someone wants to clear up a mystery or make amends for a past mistake, don't be too proud to listen. Forgiveness you can do, even if forgetting is a bridge too far.
Spirit over matter.
18th May 2009 - 24th May 2009 Other people are not as sure as you are about what they want, what's going on and where they're headed so do not assume that a change of heart is permanent. All it may take is a little patience on your part and plenty of clarity, and what initially seemed to be a major obstacle could be a minor speed bump. Of course, it's one thing getting to the roots of a practical or financial problem, quite another dealing with a romantic upset. Perhaps someone is having cold feet, or maybe he or she is acting on false information, but whatever the misunderstanding – and that's almost certainly what it is – it will be resolved all the quicker if you keep your heart and your mind open.
Giving it a chance.
25th May 2009 - 31st May 2009 Jupiter-Neptune combos can be a force for the good but they can also prove very misleading so you will need to keep your eye on the ball this week. On balance, it is more likely that you will make a gain of some description, in some cases a financial or material one but in others the benefits will be of the heart and soul variety. There is no need to assume that you are being told tall tales or that a threadbare excuse is not genuine but before you act on information and impressions do some behind-the-scenes checks. And by the same token if good news is on the airwaves, wait until you have evidence in your hands before draining the mini-bar!
Reason to believe.
1st June 2009 - 7th June 2009 With Mars already in the love zone and Venus poised to enter therein on the 6th you are at the beginning of a happening period for your relationship life. Whether or not you have special dates and anniversaries to look forward to you may be surprised at how suddenly there seem to be so many attractive people around... Partnerships that have settled into a dreary rut get a re-birth and new romances are more than just a possibility. And even if Cupid doesn't strike, should you need supporters they're there for the asking. Bridges can be built, whether of the business or romantic variety and if someone comes back to you with a big apology, don't be too big to accept.
That loving feeling.
8th June 2009 - 14th June 2009 No one would ask a Scorpio to take someone on trust – you are, after all the super-sleuth of the zodiac – but just occasionally this is exactly what is required. Your gut feelings will inform you should there be any danger of making a wrong move and even if the results of your actions are different from expectations they will turn out to be right in the long sweep of time. A love affair could reach an important stage now or someone new in your life may sweep you off your feet. Whatever the state of play regarding romance and relationships it is worth reminding yourself that not only is love a mystery but it has a life of its own.
The importance of love.
15th June 2009 - 21st June 2009 Venus and Mars are at their sexy best in the zone of love and partnership so don't be surprised if someone makes it very clear how much he or she desires you. And even if passion is not on the menu you could benefit from someone's appreciation of your needs and abilities. There are occasions when you are the master of your own fate and it is down to you be proactive but now you can afford to step back and watch other people deliver on your behalf. And with mystical Neptune in the frame, you could be delighted at the way a situation magically comes together or you just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
Blessings.
22nd June 2009 - 28th June 2009 It's thanks to Pluto that you get your passion and your intensity, and it's also down to Pluto that very little gets under your radar. And certainly not in this astrological climate. Your perception is razor sharp and any deception or deviation will be spotted and dealt with forcefully. However, you may like to remind yourself that acting in a red mist inevitably causes some regrets, and pressing that self-destruct button isn't always the wisest move. Clearly, if you have a statement to make and you've examined every last detail then now is the moment to publish and be damned, so to speak, but if there is any hint of doubt, don't.
Finger on the button?
29th June 2009 - 5th July 2009 It's all right to feel confused. Sometimes there is just too much conflicting information to make a judgement and you're far better waiting until you can see what's what and where you should be heading. So delegate or defer. The exception to this trend for mysteries and muddles is romance and relationships for this is a magical time to fall in love – or in lust – and to forget all about the real world of responsibilities and realities. Ruler, Pluto, puts in an appearance over the weekend helping you reach some powerful conclusions and enabling you to cut out the dead wood, wherever it may be found and in whomever's hands.
Extremes.
6th July 2009 - 12th July 2009 Just before Mars leaves the area of relationships it hooks up to Neptune and Jupiter creating something of a conundrum or taking you to the stars. True love is a real and beautiful thing and under these influences you may find it and keep it. However, the opposite is equally possible in that love is lost and truth in doubt. This is a turbulent time for the zodiac as a whole so even if you are sitting pretty, so to speak, you could be celebrating someone else's happiness or offering your shoulder to cry upon. Tuesday's eclipse ups the emotional amps and if you are travelling or in meetings, be tolerant and don't burn any bridges unless you are sure you don't need them
Love, truth and beauty.
13th July 2009 - 19th July 2009 The zone of far horizons is in the frame urging you to see a little bit more of your world and helping you look at your life in less rigid terms, by which I mean you could have been suffering from a bout of tunnel vision recently and a situation could be immeasurably improved by being more flexible. It isn't always safer to take the same old route and visit familiar haunts; being lulled into a false sense of security can be a problem. With this in mind now could be the time to travel to places you have never been to before and to sample foreign fare. All of which is another way of saying, take a chance, dare to be different.
Not the same old same old.
20th July 2009 - 26th July 2009 For the past month or so the emphasis has been on long-term interests and issues related to distant people and places but this week represents a peak of such matters. Perhaps you are about to travel to far-off parts or maybe you are expecting to put your signature on documents, but whatever the reality, figuratively speaking, actions and events take you a long way. Some Scorpios are going to find this a brilliant period, one that sees them riding high with happy prospects to come, while others are feeling somewhat let down and dispirited about the future. If this is the case, take comfort in the knowledge that your moment in the sun is still to come...
Looking down the road.
27th July 2009 - 2nd August 2009 Think twice before you deliver an ultimatum or give one of your undiluted home truths. Of course, you want to be honest, and certainly true to yourself, but actions have great consequences now so you need to issue your statements with care. Life moves at a fast pace too so the potential for slips of the real and metaphorical kind are more likely. On the plus side a romance that has been budding could burst into bloom and an idea that has been percolating may be ready for take-off. Surprises of one sort or another are in the pipe line, and even if they don't immediately strike you as wonderful, just give them time...
No such thing as a foregone conclusion.
3rd August 2009 - 9th August 2009 There's nothing like an eclipse to show you where you are really headed. It's not that your plans were faulty or that you haven't made some good decisions along the line it's more that you need realigning; somehow you've veered off track. Now, this notion may have much to do with your career in that you have compromised your talents for the security a job has offered or you may have assumed that you would never fulfil your true ambitions, so why should you rock the boat. However it is at these cosmic junctions that changes occur, whether you suddenly decide enough is enough and you're ready for a new start or because someone does the job for you.
This way or that?
10th August 2009 - 16th August 2009 We might not enjoy rain spoiling play but at least the ducks are happy. Which is another way of saying, despite Saturn's participation in cosmic events there's sure to be a gain somewhere. If you're currently in dispute over a financial matter the opposition cannot be underestimated and your best bet might be to retreat for now or offer to take less than you'd originally demanded. Whatever you do don't be tempted to fight fire with fire. There are other extremely positive influences in the astrology which suggest a current problem is not only resolvable but has a real plus to it. So, put on your stoical boots and smile, Scorpio, smile!
Taking the line of least resistance.
17th August 2009 - 23rd August 2009 There's a lot to be said for getting everything over with in one fell swoop. You could decide that there's no point waiting for certain factors to come together, the time for action has come; or a whole lot of disparate events could occur leading to a perfect storm, so to speak. Uranus, the revolutionary, is at the helm so even if you cannot be sure what precisely will happen, you will know at least that change is in the air. Hopefully, you reached some decisions earlier – especially regarding a financial or property matter- but if you've been considering making a move with the intention of averting a crisis, do it sooner than later.
Action stations!
24th August 2009 - 30th August 2009 Challenges bring out the best in you and, with ruler, Pluto, at odds with Mars, you'll face a test of some description this week. It is possible that your patience and good will have been tried to the maximum and a confrontation is well overdue; on the other hand, an event could come out of left field that demands much from you in the way of energy and ingenuity. Especially if you are away from home or dealing with people at a distance, gather as much information as possible before pressing the detonator – if you dip into your memory bank you'll find more than one occasion upon which acquiescence turned out to be the better part of valour!
Saving your breath.
31st August 2009 - 5th September 2009 This is an emotional week so take matters one step at a time and don't exaggerate minor inconveniences. You could be finishing a project that has taken some months to put together or you may be dealing with a child or younger person who is needy; whatever the drain on your emotional resources this chapter is unlikely to repeat itself so either fully enjoy your time in the sun or take comfort in the knowledge that once it's over, it's over. Next week Mercury will be turning retrograde so there will be a different rhythm and focus to life; all the more reason therefore to live completely in every moment.
A good attitude makes a positive difference.
6th September 2009 - 13th September 2009 Do you sense change in the air? It's no surprise if you do because ruler, Pluto, turns direct (11th) and what follows in the wake of this event amounts to a sea-change. Three weeks from now you could have the official thumbs up to a project or news will reach you that necessitates a revision of one of your ideas. It may also be that events during the course of this week set a situation in cement and certainly clarify your thinking. Even though Mercury could create a few delays and detours these should not interfere with the general direction in which a long-term project is heading. Be cheerful, Scorpio, good things come out of stars like these.
Positive thinking.
14th September 2009 - 20th September 2009 Every so often more than one significant planetary alignment occurs at the same time, notching up current hot spots and making life generally intense, as is the case this week. Aside from putting on your flak jacket, keep a close eye on already delicate situations. If you enjoy taking on a mammoth task and the prospect of conflict appeals to you, you're going to be in your element but should you be hoping that people will be generous and giving, you'll have an uphill struggle. Circumstances beyond your control could interfere with your timetable and you may be asked to be extra forgiving, patient and accommodating. Which you can be, of course.
Making an effort.
21st September 2009 - 27th September 2009 One of the pluses to a storm is that it clears the air and gives you a fresh take on life. And this sentiment should be at the forefront of your mind all week. You may get away with a mild difference of opinion or a bracing exchange of ideas but if you're wise you'll not be dangling any red rags in front of raging bulls! What is required now is a change of view, whether this involves travel or a journey in the mind – maybe both. A tactic that has served you well in the past, a philosophy in which you believed, is no measure for today: it's not a crime to change your mind; in fact it would be a crime not to alter your stance.
The times they are a-changing.
28th September 2009 - 4th October 2009 Try not to put too much pressure on yourself at this point in the year. The sun is in the reclusive twelfth house and with a full moon to come (4th) any weaknesses in the system – and we could be looking at health here too – will be revealed. There has been some dis-information doing the rounds recently but the fog surrounding one or more issues is beginning to clear. Whether or not you should take action now is not so clear, however. Ideally you need to wait until later in October before making a final judgement; for the time being it may be better to accumulate information and allow your unconscious mind to work on the solution.
Biding your time.
5th October 2009 - 11th October 2009 With the sun continuing to occupy the low-key twelfth house, this is not the time to go barrelling into situations that you are unsure about. You need to wait until all the pieces of the puzzle have come together. There could be signs and signals this week – some of them rather conflicting – so unless your back is truly against the wall, play for time. For some Scorpios a relationship is reaching a critical point: it may be that you have a choice to make or it could be that what has thus far been secret is about to be exposed. Whatever the case, make no rash statements or actions unless you are one hundred percent ready to carry them through.
Be gentle.
12th October 2009 - 18th October 2009 This continues to be a complex period for you. Situations could be confusing and you too may feel conflicted about what to do. On the other hand, life could be going along in much the same way as usual yet other people's lives are in crisis and either you are being supportive or simply witnessing events from a safe distance. Mars, reaches the zenith of your solar chart (16th) from where it will encourage you to take affirmative action, especially regarding your career and material matters, however, until the sun enters your own sign (22nd) you'd be better holding your horses. This is not the week to make a promise or a threat just for the hell of it.
Biding your time.
19th October 2009 - 25th October 2009 At last the sun makes it out of the forested twelfth house (23rd) so that sense of being kept in the dark or being unsure of your feelings will fast be fading. Not that people won't take you by surprise this week – and in the best possible way. Actions you may have performed in the past could be rewarded and there is a long history behind the gifts you are given, whether in the sense of generous gestures or expensive items. Plus, your intuition is working overtime so you should obey your hunches even if they do present a certain risk. The weekend sees some of the sweetest influences for a long time – don't stay home, unless it's with someone you love...
Improvements.
26th October 2009 - 1st November 2009 On Wednesday, Mercury enters your sign helping you see clearly and giving you the power of persuasion. However, there is a difference between persuasion and pressure, so keep your opinions light and give people a chance to mull over your ideas. Especially where an affair of the heart is concerned, you may need to show you're interested and subtly hint at where you'd like the relationship to go, then step back and wait for the penny to drop, so to speak. There is still a little mist hovering over romance and it may take another couple of weeks before you can see whether a spark is going to turn into a full blown passion or fizzle out.
Feeling your way.
2nd November 2009 - 8th November 2009 You are at an important junction. You may know this because you have a special occasion already set in stone but if not the events of the week ahead could leave a lasting impression, to say the least. Monday's full moon aids the process of closure and completion. A relationship could have come full circle, with the result that you are ready to move on in other directions or the time may have arrived for you to make a full blown commitment. You know in your heart what you want to do and what is vital for your well-being, so however tempestuous the emotional climate becomes do not not lose sight of your true goals.
The fixed mark.
9th November 2009 - 15th November 2009 You may be driven by your passions but you're not one to make a big change without a great deal of forethought. And you will need to weigh up all your options at this time. People may not be deliberately misleading you – indeed, your own feelings could be strongly colouring the picture – but there is an element of deception to take into consideration. You may also need reminding that you are not a reflection of other people's opinions and desires: you are your own person. Thus, do not be afraid to buck the trend now or to reveal a side of yourself hitherto hidden from view.
The real stuff.
