The Following Week Ahead Horoscopes Were Found:
27th January 2003 - 2nd February 2003 A situation coming to light may temporarily phase you but you should not allow it to zap your confidence in the long term. While Saturn helps you to deal constructively with minor hitches it may also coincide with a delay or postponement. And while Neptune could cast doubt over an individual or an enterprise it could also inspire you to pursue a dream, regardless of the lack of evidence for its manifestation. You are right to be sceptical about certain information and certain events. Those things that are true will stand up to scrutiny and prove their worth to you as time goes by but those things that are flawed and built on sand must be rejected - and as soon as possible.
3rd February 2003 - 9th February 2003 There is a sea-change in your chart, which may well manifest as a change in your surroundings or a welcome development on the financial front. And even if you cannot directly relate to these two scenarios you should feel more positive about life in general. Wednesday’s Mars-Jupiter connection encourages hopes and urges you to have faith in current negotiations: endeavours begun this week or investments made should more than fulfil expectations. Indeed, this is an optimum period to make major financial moves and to raise your personal stock. After this week the cosmos becomes increasingly unstable so use these buoyant influences as your springboard to success.
20th January 2003 - 26th January 2003 If you feel the year has got off to a somewhat sticky start Mercury's about-turn could make a positive difference. People who have been unavailable may now be ready to communicate and situations that have been on ice could begin to show signs of life. The full moon of the 18th will bring any lingering issues to a head after which you will be able to move forward clearly and decisively. On the 20th the sun moves to the top of your chart highlighting career matters and bringing people of power and influence into the picture. Indeed, it is from this point that some of the biggest developments of the year start to take shape, most specifically in regard to your role in life.
13th January 2003 - 19th January 2003 The combination of a retrograde Mercury and a full moon is not the sweetest recipe for travel and communications. You may be calm, collected and open to compromise and alternatives but other people are not. Especially over the weekend allow greater time for journeys and expect the emotional temperature to soar over the smallest departure from the norm. By complete contrast a question that has needed an answer could receive one by the 18th and if you have been agonizing over a decision you should be able to make it by the same date. And with Mars entering the area of finances and joint interests monetary negotiations begin to pick up speed.
10th February 2003 - 16th February 2003 Jupiter-Neptune aspects are the stuff of a dream come true so especially on the weekend you should follow your heart and have faith in the future. But while this astro-connection could have a big effect on the romantic status-quo it may have an even greater effect on your role in life and where you go from here. Neptune, of course, is not the most realistic of influences so there is a danger of your nurturing unrealizable ambitions, however, dreams are spurs to success and without them we wouldn’t get very far in life. With this in mind events of the next two weeks should be seen as helping you fulfil your destiny, not frustrating it.
17th February 2003 - 23rd February 2003 Not perhaps the smoothest of astrological passages but then only under challenging influences do we tend to make real progress. Monday’s Uranian offerings get the week off to an electric start - there could be some surprises in the mail and some disruption to travel. Then as the week goes by the rest of the planetary team jump on board helping events to go from the sublime to the ridiculous - or rather more to the point from the uncertain to the downright rocky! Keep reminding yourself that there is not just one way to deal with a situation and if a route has become closed off to you there is bound to be another one to try. Be flexible and philosophical.
24th February 2003 - 2nd March 2003 True to your earth element you have a sensible, realistic approach to life and you take practical steps to solve a problem. However, given the recent planetary roller-coaster ride you could have had to make some snap decisions or you may have been unable to fully assimilate the implications of certain developments. And this is where this week’s smoother cosmic pattern comes in. You now have a valuable opportunity to assess your position and take the most appropriate steps and for some Taureans there is some good news on its way that will help make you feel more secure. Indeed, this would be an ideal week to make a financial deal or sign a contract.
3rd March 2003 - 9th March 2003 Uranus makes one last appearance at the high-point of your chart before slipping into relative obscurity. Thus, between the 27th and 9th you have another opportunity to rewrite one of your life scripts. Not given to impulse moves and radical changes it may have taken until now to get you to see the benefits of new territory. And while Mars’ arrival in the area of long-distance horizons could take you into new territory in the literal sense these influences are more likely to translate as a change in your working or domestic circumstances. Deep down you may already know that everything is happening for the best so why make extra hard work for yourself by resisting the irresistible!
10th March 2003 - 16th March 2003 These are tough and uncompromising influences therefore if you need to take a strong stance you have all the planetary backing you require. On the other hand you should bear in mind that other people will also be taking tough measures to enforce their position. At the same time there could be some confusing information to deal with or you may find yourself in two minds about a situation. All this adds up to a week when you need to take things very gently indeed. These aspects have their uses, however, and if you have been trying to resolve a financial worry or endeavouring to get rid of a situation, events will conspire to achieve such results. Just don’t complain about the way it all happens.
5th May 2003 - 11th May 2003 Mars-Jupiter oppositions can work in two ways: on the plus side they can create a climate of success but on the minus side they may inflate difficulties. With this in mind, go into meetings prepared to compromise and remain flexible, especially with people in positions of power. Warnings aside, there is an upbeat feel to this week’s events and for some Taureans a promotion could be in the pipe-line or some other positive development linked to your career may be imminent. Family life also holds the promise of happy things to come. Indeed, this could be a perfect time to make an upwardly mobile move or to add to your number!
17th March 2003 - 23rd March 2003 The 18th’s full moon straddles the creative axis of your horoscope and signals the end of a gestation period. It may be that you have been preparing for a special event or building a friendship or alliance and the time has come to see what you have achieved so far. You may also be about to bring a new enterprise into being. On the other hand, you may find that this period of time reveals a hitch in an arrangement or puts an association to the test. Great patience and a positive attitude will turn this week into a success story: what could turn it into a three-act drama is your resistance to a minor change or your refusal to see what is really going on.
24th March 2003 - 30th March 2003 The cosmos is smiling kindly on you, albeit from its occluded position in the twelfth house. Put another way you may not be able to see the positive aspects to situations at present but they are there and in time you will. All the more reason therefore to remain upbeat and to beaver away at your endeavours regardless of proof that you are getting anywhere. The current array of planets in the twelfth house of psyche and soul is encouraging you to believe in your dreams and to exercise the power of thought. This is also a period in which to tackle health and fitness issues and to find alternative solutions to old problems. For once believe in the incredible.
31st March 2003 - 6th April 2003 This astro-scape is akin to a fresh canvas: it may take until the sun enters your sign later this month to see quite how and why this new phase is coming in but any ideas or opportunities that arise this week should be seen as signposts to the new and the improved. Another plus is the arrival of Mercury in your sign (5th), which will give you greater clarity and enable you to reach people you need to see and with whom you can exchange information. In many ways it is hard to find a bad word to say about the current alignments so if you are sunk in a slough of despond with a seemingly never-ending list of problems, take comfort in the knowledge that behind the scenes something good is taking shape.
7th April 2003 - 13th April 2003 Mercury is key when it comes to communications and travel: on a good day this planet will encourage positive exchanges of information and guide you to your destination but on a bad day there will be misunderstandings, delays and detours. Between the 7th and 14th Mercury is in no mood to do favours therefore you should allow extra time for journeys and go over information given and received patiently and repeatedly. On the 20th the sun will enter your sign giving you back your bounce and enabling you to take charge of situations but until that time you should avoid placing too many pressures on yourself and insist that other people take responsibility for themselves and their actions.
14th April 2003 - 20th April 2003 The sun arrives in your sign on the 20th thereby bringing order out of chaos and giving you back your zip and zest for life. And well you might need it after Wednesday’s full moon! This full moon will highlight any flaws in the system, whether this means revealing an error in your planning or a weakness in your health plan! Ideally, you should take note of what emerges this week in the way of distress signals because by responding to them rather than papering over the cracks, so to speak, you will empower yourself. There could also be some tensions in a friendship or collaborative endeavour, quite possibly caused by financial concerns. Don’t take it personally.
21st April 2003 - 27th April 2003 Mercury turns retrograde once or twice a year so it is not a major league event. However, Mercury’s backwards progress can prove inconvenient, especially when it slows down a project that was moving along entirely unimpeded. Thus, if you want to help your own progress, endeavour to tie up any loose ends before Saturday and to bring forward any important meetings or discussions. Not that retrograde Mercury’s are without merit. Since Mercury is currently in your sign it gives you an opportunity to reconsider a decision and to do some valuable research. Indeed, if you have any doubts about a situation, this is the moment to take a rain-check.
28th April 2003 - 4th May 2003 Taurus likes the peaceful life and the stars intend to keep it that way. The coming week should produce at least one happy event and if you are feeling apprehensive about a situation, let go of your fears because you are in a strong position at present. On the 28th the sun in your sign makes a powerful connection to both Neptune and Jupiter: this will encourage you to believe in your dreams and to go all out to fulfil an ambition. The only down side to this alignment is that it may inflate a difficulty, especially one of a financial or professional variety. Thus, you should make sure you have all the facts well in advance of any meeting or before you make an irrevocable decision.
12th May 2003 - 18th May 2003 The first eclipse of the year is poised to take place on the 16th and it cuts across the relationship axis of your horoscope. For some Taureans the lunar eclipse will signal the advent of marriage or a significant development in a romantic or business relationship. For other Taureans this celestial event will coincide with a key happening in the life of someone close to you. And for all Taureans this period is one when you will have cause to reflect upon who and what is most important to you. The astrology may do a lot more besides, of course, including urging you to see the reality as opposed to the fantasy of a situation. Be grounded but not inflexible.
19th May 2003 - 25th May 2003 Mercury moves direct in your sign on Tuesday so the trend for delays and detours comes to an end. And since Uranus is now on board there may well be something sudden and surprising about the way mysteries are cleared up and information reaches you. The weekend has a real air of the unusual and the unexpected about it - perfect if you’re doing something you’ve never done before or meeting new people but slightly more destabilizing if you were planning nothing more exciting than a trip to the mall! Dare to be different and be indifferent to out of the blue developments.
26th May 2003 - 1st June 2003 Venus and Mercury make sweet music together in your sign so if there is someone you are seeking to impress now is the time to make your move. However, before you set out your market stall, so to speak, be sure that the object of your desires is worthy of your efforts. There is a chance that some aspects of a situation are not yet revealed and what you are seeing as real and workable is instead rather flimsy. Clearly, there are times when you should go with your heart and enjoy being enthralled, and this may well be one of them, but it is usually wise to keep some of your assets in reserve. Just in case.
2nd June 2003 - 8th June 2003 There are no coincidences at this time: events that take place under this astro-scape are meaningful, if not destined. Clearly, if you have chosen this week for a celebration you already know what all the fuss is about but if you have nothing penciled in your diary, the next couple of weeks could prove very eventful indeed. On the plus side the atmosphere could be magical, bringing you success and happiness in spades. But on the down side, a hope could now prove unjustified, leading you to re-think where you go from here. In the event of the latter, do not despair, but once the dust has settled you should see that all is not lost, there is a new way forward.
9th June 2003 - 15th June 2003 There is nothing ordinary about these stars; in fact they could move mountains. Therefore, if you were expecting a week of same old, same old, you’re in for quite a surprise. Admittedly, some of the most arresting developments will be happening to other people, however, to be on the safe side, you should keep a close eye on the more delicate situations in your life, most notably finances. At the very least you should ensure that your accounts tally with those of financial institutions and if you are currently in negotiations with an individual or an organization, prepare yourself for a tough ride. There is some good in these stars: it may just be difficult to see it at the time.
16th June 2003 - 22nd June 2003 Taken on its own the week ahead looks like a dream - no astrological challenges whatsoever - however, from the 23rd the cosmos acquires a life of its own - and a rather contrary one at that. With this in mind you may like to use these sweet influences to mount a charm offensive or bring forward a meeting that you sense could prove difficult. Your emotional and financial security is in the frame at the moment and while you tend to be a sign who knows its own value other people could be attempting to undermine you or drain your resources. Look forward to planned events and celebrations but don’t forget that honeymoons are by their very nature ephemeral.
23rd June 2003 - 29th June 2003 June is turning out to be a complex month and although your sign is out of the line of fire, so to speak, you could be affected by other people’s wobbles and woes. Ideally, you should pile as many important tasks into the week of the 16th, leaving the period between the 22nd and 29th to do its best and worst unimpeded! There are restrictions on many people at this time and it maybe that you too have to accept that something cannot go forward quite as planned. Once the wheels of bureaucracy begin to turn faster and other people dig themselves out of their holes, all will be well. On the plus side, this mid-to-latter part of June could prove to be one of deliverance and celebration.
30th June 2003 - 6th July 2003 Taurus likes to take its time. You rarely rush to judgment and you prefer the tried and tested route to your objectives. However, a change of tactic could prove to be of great benefit this week. What you learn should change your view of a situation and instead of remaining stubbornly fixed to your original ideas, a new way forward could transform your prospects. This is also a week when travel more than broadens the mind - it becomes the proverbial magical mystery tour! There is nothing intrinsically wrong with these stars - they’re just different and require an open mind and a willingness to experiment.
7th July 2003 - 13th July 2003 The area of communications takes the honours now. Your schedule could include travel plans and if so you may need to take your patience pills with you. A combination of Saturn and a full moon could slow up the wheels of transport and transportation making your journeys very interesting! By contrast Uranus could speed the course of love and bring you some welcome and unexpected news. In this short season of mixed astrological messages you should endeavour to keep your timetable flexible, your plans fluid and your expectations anything but fixed.
14th July 2003 - 20th July 2003 Keep your feet firmly on the ground, especially over the weekend. Rumours could be flying and even the weather forecast should be treated with skepticism. Mercury at the base of your chart opposes spin-doctor, Neptune, so extracting the truth from a sea of innuendo and getting from A to B in one fell swoop is going to be your major challenge. What these influences can do for you is allow you to speak with heart and compassion - straight from the soul, if you like: however, it will be equally possible for someone to mislead you, albeit not intentionally. Obey your instincts and double-check all information.
21st July 2003 - 27th July 2003 With the sun’s arrival at the base of your chart on the 23rd, you should now be attending to the roots of life - a theme that can manifest in different ways. First, the concept of roots applies to family and your home, so that for the next few weeks you will be focusing much of your energy on domestic concerns. Second, this theme has everything to do with laying the foundation stones of future developments. For many Taureans this is the beginning of a time of huge expansion, whether you will be adding to your family or to the home itself. You have plenty to offer the world, Taurus: you are only limited by the scope of your imagination.
28th July 2003 - 3rd August 2003 There’s a lot of movement in your chart, although perversely some of it appears to be backwards rather than forwards. Then again, there can be distinct advantages to going over old ground and taking the opportunity for a re-think. On the other hand, this week may coincide with a change of routine and rhythm of life, which will both refresh and relax you. Thursday’s electric connection between communication chief, Mercury and eccentric Uranus emphasizes the need for new perspectives on old situations, and especially where a friendship or collaborative venture is concerned, a different and certainly more flexible approach is required.
4th August 2003 - 10th August 2003 When a thick fog descends on the way ahead what do you do? Plough on regardless and at the speed of knots? Hardly. You feel your way tentatively. Now, whatever the real weather may be doing this week the astrological climate is one in which you should tread carefully. Situations cannot be seen for what they truly are and you would be better waiting until the second half of August before you make a firm and final judgment. On the plus side, these Neptunian influences could make this a highly romantic and spiritually elevating time - one in which hope, healing and love triumph over difficulties and acrimony.
11th August 2003 - 17th August 2003 This is a time of celebration and completion. There could be just one event that fulfils this theme; on the other hand, the end of a chapter could be apparent in one area of life while somewhere else there is joy to be shared. Certainly, this is a period of new starts and changes or additions to your lifestyle, and even though you are often reluctant to let go of the past or make a detour from the tried and tested route, you will benefit greatly from the new and the different now. By next week Jupiter will be raising the bar and your expectations so use this week’s constructive and realistic influences to close and complete.
18th August 2003 - 24th August 2003 Life can sometimes be likened to waiting for the bus - not a one comes for aeons then several arrive all at once. So, with relatively little happening in the cosmos for a while suddenly things are taking off like a meteor shower. Jupiter’s presence guarantees events will be jumbo-sized while Uranus produces a surprise package and although home and family appear to be in the main frame here there could be other sources of the unusual, the unexpected, the great and the good. You may feel safer playing it by the book but this is one occasion when you could benefit tremendously from going against the grain but with your heart.
25th August 2003 - 31st August 2003 Jupiter’s entry into the creative centre of your horoscope sets the stage for a year of big productions. For some time you have been labouring under less than encouraging influences: people appear to have undervalued you - in some cases keeping you from attaining positions that were rightfully yours and denying you opportunities to fulfil your talents and desires - but this trend is now on its way out. From the 27th life has a new energy and focus, and although you may be a die-hard traditionalist and the least likely risk-taker of the zodiac you may have no choice other than to take some decisions that will shock and surprise your critics and supporters alike.
1st September 2003 - 7th September 2003 This astro-scape could be entitled: the big push. Jupiter and Pluto help you give of your very best, and they certainly encourage transformation, whether in the psychological sense or with real life situations. If you already have a big event penned in your diary, then these aspects will not disappoint - your experience will be one for the memory books - but if you are anticipating a routine week, be prepared for a wake-up call. Passions are aroused under such stars and anything coming into being now has the capacity to change more than your plans for the weekend.
8th September 2003 - 14th September 2003 Pluto’s transformational influence is at work over the next seven days, which means those situations that have been idling or, worse, heading in a reverse direction, get back on track. Yet, under Pluto, life is rarely lightweight, so you must expect certain people to prove awkward, and in some cases it may not be possible to continue an association. You have a tremendous amount of power at your disposal at present, which will enable you to bring great things into being, however, you must apply force with caution: an old order is giving way to a new one and there are bound to be teething troubles of one sort or another.
15th September 2003 - 21st September 2003 Thanks to changes of sign for Uranus and Venus there’s a different rhythm and focus to life - and after last week’s stirring influences you may be glad of the opportunity to change your tune and move on. Monday looks to be the most dynamic day of the week and it may well be that you receive an answer to a question then or you simply feel you have turned a corner. By Saturday Mercury will be returning to normal and with this change for the better comes the ability to set your ducks in a row and to reach realistic decisions and make binding agreements. In a nutshell this is a week of righting recent wrongs.
22nd September 2003 - 28th September 2003 There is now a profusion of planets in the area of work and well-being so you are running out of excuses not to deal with ailing situations. It may be that other people will make the decisions for you but since you are an individual who prefers to be in control you will gain much from grasping any nettles by the throat yourself. One big plus is that there are no doubts hanging over situations - they are black or white - and even if you do have to set aside an interest or goal for the time being, or accept that you have run out of road somewhere, what you will gain by streamlining and re-focusing will be worth its weight in future accolades.
29th September 2003 - 5th October 2003 The areas of work and life-goals are beautifully linked, so if you have meetings with employers or you are planning to discuss your future with someone who counts, you can expect some solid results. And whatever decisions you make now should stand the test of time. If there is a concern it is in the forthcoming Saturn aspect, which can reveal a flaw in the system, be that related to work or a personal matter. If a problem does arise now, it might be prudent to delay an event or to give a situation a little longer to get together. As with all Saturnian revelations, the response should be practical and expedient.
6th October 2003 - 12th October 2003 Not exactly the most exuberant start to a week but it is at least realistic. You will be able to
complete a large workload and if you are expecting responses to your questions or seeking closure,
you’ve got it in spades. The full moon of the 10th falls in the low-key twelfth house of your solar
chart, thereby exacerbating your fears and making you more sensitive than usual. While you should pay
attention to issues that rise to the surface now, especially those of a health or financial nature, you
should aim to discuss them with others thereby acquiring some distance and perspective. All is not quite
as it seems.
13th October 2003 - 19th October 2003 Last week Venus arrived in the relationship zone with a mission to improve your love life and to put you in a generally good light with other people. Effectively, this is the beginning of a four week period in which your ability to succeed in both personal and professional endeavours is enhanced. This trend reaches something of a peak by the 17th making mid-month a time when people will be ready to come to the table with offers, and someone may disclose very romantic feelings towards you. The only proviso comes in the form of Neptune, a planet known for creating smoke-screens. Keep your rose-coloured spectacles in the drawer for now.
20th October 2003 - 26th October 2003 By the 24th you will have a full compliment of planets in the zone of love and relating so you will not lack for astrological help when it comes to making fresh romantic conquests or finding people to advise and support you. Indeed, this could well be the time that a major anniversary is to be celebrated or you are to make a long-term commitment to an individual or a company. Do I have a reservation? Not really, these influences could not be more encouraging and they are especially targeted at enabling you to make changes in your emotional and relationship patterns. It's not exactly out with the old and in with the new but it is change for the better.
27th October 2003 - 2nd November 2003 The new moon of the 25th signaled a new phase, first and foremost for your love life. While your input can still affect the way a situation pans out and while you may still have a choice as to how you act other people have the upper hand for the time being. In some ways this is the ideal period in which to marry or make big decisions regarding a relationship, yet with Uranus poised to meet Venus on the weekend of the 1st there is still a wild card to be played. Especially if you have a late May birthday new romantic interests may suddenly come into being now; likewise partners and business associates can take you completely by surprise.
3rd November 2003 - 9th November 2003 Some six months ago a lunar eclipse in your sign may well have augured a significant development in a relationship or a life change could have been inspired by another person, and even if no such incident comes to mind events during the next two to three weeks are likely to have their origins in May. While you still have the gift of choice, other people will tend to be the ones who make the waves. Marriages or mergers made under these stars have a ring of destiny about them; likewise people who enter your life have the capacity to transform it. Especially if you have an early or late May birthday, expect the extraordinary.
10th November 2003 - 16th November 2003 While you may be the most consistent person on the planet, other people simply don’t come up to your standards, as well you may discover this week. There could be a surprise announcement or you may find that someone has very different ideas on a matter than you. And while discussion, debate and compromise may be the ideal way forward, you could find that a new route is a great improvement on the original. Finances and relationships are the focus for these unusual and dynamic influences but you may find in general that life has an absurd and somewhat unsettling aura to it. Go with the flow, as they say.
17th November 2003 - 23rd November 2003 A little touch of the exciting and the unexpected adds a definite piquancy to life, so in the event of a sudden alteration to your schedule, do your best to take it in your stride and with a good grace. Technically, Sunday’s total solar eclipse highlights the financial axis of your horoscope, so the big news of the week is likely to have a monetary side to it. However, eclipses are capricious things so be on the safe side you should handle everyone and everything with kid gloves. This is an ideal moment to put a piece of history truly behind you and to focus unflinchingly on new opportunities.
24th November 2003 - 30th November 2003 Money and friendship do not mix at the best of times and almost never under dark and stormy skies like these. While you are a peacemaker at heart, and someone who thinks carefully before expressing a negative opinion, other people just aren’t made of the same stuff. A reality is revealed this week and the price to be paid for an investment could be far higher than you imagined. And although this theme may well apply to finances alone, you could be looking at the cost in emotional terms of a business or romantic relationship. Old patterns come to an end now and while there could be some regrets you should turn your attention fully to the new.
1st December 2003 - 7th December 2003 Making firm plans is the subject of this week’s stars. And given the ups and downs of the recent past it is at least comforting to know that the decisions you make now should prove sound and will stand the test of time. I wouldn’t say the coming week was pure unbridled joy but there is a sense of life settling down and a more stable environment in which to conduct your affairs. On the 2nd Mercury arrives in the long-haul sector of your chart, thereby promoting links with people and organizations far away and encouraging you to step outside home territory, both for business and pleasure.
8th December 2003 - 14th December 2003 As December unfolds there is considerable change and uncertainty in the cosmos, especially surrounding finances and relationships. Frustrating as it may be, you will just have to wait and see what other people do now - you have done all you can for the moment. Once someone has made his/her decision (probably around the 10th), further options will appear. With Christmas but a matter of weeks away, this is an appropriate time to clean-house, whether in the real sense of making space for festive events or in the way of sidelining one or more aspects of your life that have become too costly or time consuming.
15th December 2003 - 21st December 2003 Not for the first time has Mercury given us all an early Christmas present by turning retrograde a matter of days before the festivities get rolling! There is an upside to this backsliding passage in that you could spend less money than usual or you may be able to hold off a large payment until the middle of January but realistically you are looking at the beginning of a three-week period when journeys and negotiations of the verbal kind are going to prove taxing and time-consuming. Do your best to set the seal on the most crucial arrangements before the 17th then adopt a philosophical attitude to what comes or goes.
22nd December 2003 - 28th December 2003 Despite Saturn’s attempts to bring a serious tone to the proceedings, once the 22nd is behind you it is full steam ahead for the best Christmas in years. All right, there have been some painful moments in the past year and these will be remembered in the quiet times but with the divine help of Neptune spirits will be raised in the best and warmest of ways. Getting away to foreign destinations could have its share of delays and frustrations but a longer journey than expected will add an even greater sense of pleasure and happiness at reaching your destination. And, of course, it’s people who matter in the end!
29th December 2003 - 4th January 2004 If you have plans for a wild welcome to 2004, make sure you have consulted Saturn about them. This planet is the zodiac’s party-pooper, so even if the champagne corks are popping, there are likely to be some serious issues to discuss. Travel and communications are in the frame at this time and while you are usually one of the most cautious and conscientious signs, should you now flout the rules the cost could be high. Take your time and think carefully before you say anything that you could regret once the cold light of dawn appears. By the 7th a degree of normality returns, and a re-think looks to be on the cards.
5th January 2004 - 11th January 2004 A lover of home comforts you may be but this week’s astrology is all about going places - and the further away you go, the better. Wednesday’s full moon may not be the easiest day for travel and communications but it is the ideal moment to say goodbye to people, places and routines that have been part of your life for the past few weeks, if not a good deal longer. And with Mercury turning direct on the 6th there is a general sense of life moving on. If, on the other hand, distant places do not figure on your agenda aim instead to gain some distance and perspective on a knotty problem.
12th January 2004 - 18th January 2004 Widening horizons continues to be a theme playing long and loud in your chart right now so, if you’re not planning to travel or connecting with people from foreign parts you should be looking at ways to expand your empire. Attached as you may be to the tried, tested and familiar this is just the time you should be looking outside the box, both for solutions and career/personal fulfillment. With this in mind, should an individual or an organization prove to be the agent of change, welcome the chance to diversify. Not for the first time have I had cause to suggest it’s not what you did do that you’ll regret but what you didn’t.
19th January 2004 - 25th January 2004 Not exactly the most ruthless sign of the zodiac but you are one of the most focused and determined, so if you have been unable to exert an influence over your affairs now the planets come to your aid. Between the 20th January and the 18th February matters affecting your life direction in general and your career in particular take precedence and you should see this period as one in which you can make seminal moves, especially in regard to your role in life. With this in mind an offer to upgrade your status or take on a new and bigger challenge should not be missed. All right, change might be rather scary but it’s the only way to get ahead.
26th January 2004 - 1st February 2004 Not usually given to wild leaps of faith this is one week when you should act on your instincts and accept offers and opportunities that promise to expand your life in some way. This is an especially auspicious time for love affairs and creative endeavours, so if you need a little push to pick up that phone to someone special or take your talents out into the market place, you have my hand on your shoulder. The only problem with an abundance of Jupiter, which is what we have this week, is that sometimes difficulties escalate and small issues become jumbo sized. With this in mind, when you take that leap, be sure you’re wearing a parachute!
2nd February 2004 - 8th February 2004 After weeks in the hinterland of the twelfth house Mars enters your sign ready to give you a kick where you need it most! As you have probably realized it is no use waiting for other people to get behind your wishes and needs, it’s down to you and the sooner you get moving the better. But here’s the but! Until the 7th all is not quite as it seems and a wait and see policy is advised. Also, the full moon of the 6th completes a chapter so you may need to process your feelings before moving on to a new phase. But all this aside, you are at the beginning of one of the most go-getting periods of 2004: go get, Taurus!
9th February 2004 - 15th February 2004 You are about to discover whether you have correctly interpreted some of the signals you have been receiving recently. With the area of career and life-direction in the frame, top of the list of uncertainties could be your job. On the other hand, since Venus - the planet of love - is also centre stage, you could be more concerned about the future of a romantic relationship. And with Valentine’s Day looming ahead, there is every reason for your hopes to be high. There is an aura of reality hovering over the weekend of the 14th so while constructive agreements can be made do not be entirely phased if events make you feel somewhat dispirited. The path to true love and all that.
16th February 2004 - 22nd February 2004 People could be somewhat trigger-happy this week so if you already know someone is bruising for a fight, give him or her a wide berth. On the other hand, if you are looking to make a splash, this you can do in style! Secrets emerge in this Uranian atmosphere and established orders are overturned. In many ways the astrology gives you an ideal opportunity to set the record straight or to get rid of an unwanted burden: the trouble is other people may have exactly the same idea! Be on the alert for the surprise move and the shock tactic. Other than that, enjoy a week with a difference.
23rd February 2004 - 29th February 2004 This is either a time of great happiness and growth or a period in which issues escalate to undue proportions. Fortunately, the ball is in your court, so to speak, so, provided you can maintain a balanced course, those people who and those situations that are threatening to spiral out of control can be contained. One factor that will help all round is extracting the truth from rumours and cutting down extravagant projections to a realistic size. By complete contrast Jupiter brings great and good things into being now so any new arrivals or fresh ventures are likely to be jumbo-sized. It really is all a question of balance.
1st March 2004 - 7th March 2004 Low key is not how I would describe this week’s stars - they’re either off the wall fabulous or quite the reverse. Dynamic links to Jupiter in the zone of creativity help great and good things to come into being while a full moon in the same zone (6th) symbolizes the end of a gestation period. The birth of a baby would be the epitome of such joyous influences, so too would be the start of a new life with someone you love. But even if no such event is in your diary this is a week to give voice to your innermost feelings and to have the courage to show others what a talented individual you are. Under these stars a star is born!
8th March 2004 - 14th March 2004 The astrology pulls no punches this week. Fortunately, you have Venus in your sign, so you have more than your usual share of charm and good luck, nevertheless you cannot rely solely on the good will of this planet to get you through a tough moment. A friend, colleague or loved one may be in a position to give you assistance and advice, so you should not be too proud to ask for help. By the same token, friendships and joint collaborations could be the very cause of a difficulty now. In some ways this is the right time to extricate yourself from a project or commitment that is proving too costly or emotionally draining - just be careful not to make any more enemies in the process.
15th March 2004 - 21st March 2004 Sweet Venus gathers momentum in your sign, soothing any romantic bruises and setting the scene for a dreamy date. The astrology doesn’t amount to a guarantee of absolute happiness but it will give you an edge in any competitive situation and it will help you succeed if the object of your love or your attention is worthy of it! As you know, you can be a little too cautious for your own good at times so if you have been nurturing hopes and dreams, and waiting for the right moment to make a bid for them, this could be it. And sometimes even if you do not achieve your ultimate goal, the mere fact that you tried changes your fortunes.
22nd March 2004 - 28th March 2004 We are surely no strangers to mixed astrological bags - they appear with relentless regularity, causing us to complain that as soon as one dilemma resolves itself along comes another! And this may turn out to be the case this week. It may be difficult to consolidate an arrangement now or it may seem as if there is a major flaw in an enterprise: ultimately it is up to you to judge whether or not to throw in the towel but before you do so it may be worth your while to question an individual who has been keeping a low profile or outright avoiding you. There is more to events than a simple change of heart.
29th March 2004 - 4th April 2004 All right, the sun may still be occluded in the fog-bound twelfth house, but at least little Mercury is coming into full view: this planet’s arrival in your sign will help to clarify a perplexing issue and generally give you a better grasp of what’s happening in your world. Strange as it may seem, however, even a matter that currently seems headed in quite the wrong direction could be helped by this week’s developments. Certainly, this is a period when people are more likely to display compassion and understanding, and you too could feel divinely inspired or protected. Add to this Venus’ entry into the financial sector and an ego boost of some description could be on its way.
5th April 2004 - 11th April 2004 Ideally, you should be tucked away on some desert island, with nothing more to think about than where your next coconut is coming from. But if instead you are the one with all the responsibilities stage-managing events, keep reminding yourself of the purpose behind them - no one is giving marks for perfection! Easter weekend is full of surprises, so you are better keeping your schedule flexible and your expectations fluid. Also, where finances are concerned, avoid impulse purchases and being pressurized to make a commitment that you are not a hundred percent sure about. With the sun secreted in the mysterious twelfth house, there is both a divine hand at work and a trend for dis-information.
12th April 2004 - 18th April 2004 Mercury heads back into the occluded twelfth house, so there is a solid reason for your experiencing any sudden doubts over a situation. You are not at your most perky at the moment, which on the one hand means you should be taking a break and allowing other people to shoulder the responsibilities for a change, but on the other, your ability to reach sound judgments is impaired. And in light of the extravagant aura to this week’s influences, you need to make extra sure that a purchase or investment is worth its large price tag. Enjoy the remaining Easter events, and try not to let your enthusiams and your imagination run away with you.
19th April 2004 - 25th April 2004 With the sun entering your sign on the 19th your stores of energy and optimism begin to be replenished. And not before time. April has produced more than its share of conundrums and your normal routine may well have been interrupted, however, sanity and clarity are making a come-back and there could be some particularly favourable developments on the financial front. Indeed, this is a time to put your money where your mouth is, so to speak. Divine providence is at work in your affairs, whether you receive a positive answer to a question posed some weeks ago or whether a last moment decision saves you time and money, if not a lot more besides. Life may not be perfect but it is improving.
26th April 2004 - 2nd May 2004 Thursday’s link between the sun and Jupiter promises great things, especially if you have a birthday on the 28th. Not only does this look to be a happy and eventful week, but also the next twelve months could see you adding to your lot in ways you could never have imagined. Certainly, this is a time when you should exude confidence in your endeavours and believe the best of people. Is there a blot on the horizon? Well, there’s a slight chance that you have bitten off more than you can chew in regard to a financial agreement or you have underestimated someone’s ability to manipulate you and become the controlling force in the relationship, but these are small niggles in an otherwise sunny astro-scape.
3rd May 2004 - 9th May 2004 Tuesday’s lunar eclipse puts a relationship in the spotlight. Full moons are indications of closure and completion: they encourage meetings of hearts and minds, and they also preside over separations. With this in mind, if you are concerned about the fragile state of an association, don’t add fuel to the fire, and, should you be about to become engaged or marry, know that you are doing so at a profound moment in time. This is not, perhaps, the easiest of weeks: there is a trend for dis-information, and muddles and mysteries may well proliferate, but by contrast, things of the romantic and spiritual kind are at an all time high. I guess it’s a case of taking the rough with the smooth.
10th May 2004 - 16th May 2004 Since the beginning of May you appear to have been under pressure and not enjoying life as much as you could, however, this trend is about to disappear. As last week’s lunar eclipse fades into history, a new and more progressive phase comes into being. On the one hand, recent worries can be sorted and, on the other, you can concentrate on those activities that you enjoy. And if you’re feeling a little less than your wonderful best, a long-weekend devoted to inner and outer health and restoring your equilibrium could prove to be the best antidote of all. On the 16th, Mercury heads back into your sign, giving you clarity and good judgment, and for some Taureans, what was once a complete mystery at last makes perfect sense.
17th May 2004 - 23rd May 2004 You may not be able to see the new moon on the 19th but it is the only one in your sign this year, and it is a symbol of the new and the improved. Taurus is a sign that enjoys the comfort of the old and the familiar - the celestial Bull treats change like a red rag! - but, when there are barely any threads left to hold a situation together, it really is time to let it go and explore new avenues of possibility. You now have a major green light for new ventures and while you could just wait and see what appears out of the blue during the next two to four weeks, ideally you should be making tracks into new territory. There is no virtue in misguided loyalty and no upside to resisting the inevitable.
24th May 2004 - 31st May 2004 Taking your time is going to be a luxury this week. The pace of life is fast and furious, and there could last moment cancellations and alterations to cope with. By contrast an unexpected and happy event could throw out your timetable. In one corner of the cosmos Mars and Saturn combine to reveal the flaws in your planning, and in the other Uranus is moving goalposts and forcing you to make adjustments, especially regarding finances or property. And while your cautious and practical nature is usually an asset, on this occasion you will need to make speedy decisions and follow a new and rather different route to your objectives. This is not a time to resist change but to positively embrace it.
31st May 2004 - 6th June 2004 The financial sector of your chart is the setting for this week’s blockbuster alignments. Hopefully, this will translate as moneys coming to you rather than exiting your bank account, but either way you stand to make a gain, if only through your stoicism. This would be an ideal time to make a large investment in your future, whether you do so by purchasing a property - or some other material acquisition - or putting your faith in your talents and skills. Then there is the issue of following your heart! A relationship may well be at a crossroads, and there are no half-way measures to be taken under these stars: you’re either in or out, up or down; ready to do all for love or prepared to hand in your notice.
7th June 2004 - 13th June 2004 You may be surprised at the moves other people make now. This is the kind of astro-scape in which people reach the end of their tethers and the sort of alignments that create life-defining moments. Certainly, you should not attempt to push someone beyond his or her limits, nor should you make a promise that you do not intend to fulfil. The area of finances is playing host to these extreme influences, raising the spectre of a wonderful gain or a less than welcome loss - and this is certainly the week in which to take a radical financial step - however, a relationship could also soar to greater heights now, or take something of a tumble. By Sunday, you’ll be on firmer ground and able to exert a stronger influence on events and other people.
14th June 2004 - 20th June 2004 You’ll have to wait until the weekend before you can let your hair down and enjoy the good life - or, indeed any kind of pleasurable experience. The week continues the Plutonic trend for revelations and revolutions, albeit in the sense of accepting that there are limits to your spending power, your energies and your patience. But once Thursday is behind you, the worst will be over and life will lighten and brighten. Finances could well be the principle cause of the controversy and concern at the moment, and it may be that a commitment needs to be shed or re-negotiated. But this same advice can be applied to any area of life in which there is imbalance, struggle and unhappiness.
21st June 2004 - 27th June 2004 Thanks to Mars life gets a little more zip and sparkle. Family affairs swing into prominence, whether you’re about to begin a heavy dose of redecoration and refurbishment or whether special occasions are being held on home territory. This is an especially good week for communications, so if you haven’t heard back from an organization or an individual, or you have been waiting to float an idea to someone, wait no more. Mercury and Saturn are not exactly the life and soul of the party over the weekend, but at least you will discover whether or not a situation has legs and just who can be relied upon and who cannot.
28th June 2004 - 4th July 2004 Venus’s presence in the financial sector of your solar chart should have encouraged growth and increased your sense of security, but since this planet has been in reverse mode for the past six weeks, the reverse may have indeed been the case. If you have been concerned about cash-flow or feeling less than appreciated by employers or partners you could be about to see a change for the better. Then again, half the battle with being treated as you deserve, whether in financial or emotional terms, is believing whole-heartedly in your assets. This is an excellent week to promote your talents and to remind others people not only that you exist but that you are to be treasured, and demonstrably so.
5th July 2004 - 11th July 2004 Do not expect speedy results this week. You may well reach your destination and arrive at conclusions, but they will take longer or prove more complicated than you had thought. At best, this is a week when you learn greatly from your experience and what you acquire in the way of information will clear up any doubts. But at worst, you may get a negative response to an offer or enquiry, thus sending you back to the drawing board. What may help is the understanding that your critics and nay-sayers are experiencing their own set of hold-ups and shortages, and somehow you have been caught in the crossfire. The stars brighten by the weekend, upping your levels of optimism and helping you to enjoy life.
12th July 2004 - 18th July 2004 Now, it’s not like you to feel confused or to be in doubt as to whether a decision made in the past is the right one, but there are some puzzling influences to deal with at present and they are making even the most solid citizens insecure and anxious. It could be that pre-performance nerves are to blame for a sudden lack of composure; on the other hand you could be picking up other people’s anxiety. Whatever the case, by the weekend one or more of your questions will be answered and you should feel far happier about life in general and one situation in particular. Especially if you have birthday on or near 5th May, this is a year of transition and you may find that simply flowing with the current, rather than resisting change is the best way of being.
19th July 2004 - 25th July 2004 Venus-Jupiter get-togethers promote good feelings and extravagant gestures, and since Venus is currently in the area of finances, there is a serious chance that you’ll be digging deep into your reserves this week, or giving someone a demonstration of how wonderful you think he or she is. You could also be on the receiving end of a financial or romantic windfall. Certainly, with the confusion and ambiguity that has been hovering over your affairs recently, these stars leave you in no doubt as to what is really going on, especially with a financial or emotional matter. In a nutshell, this astro-scape represents a harvest - what comes into being now is the culmination of months of effort, some of it very much behind the scenes.
26th July 2004 - 1st August 2004 The full moon of the 31st flanks the life-direction axis of your solar chart, so especially if you have a late April birthday, this is a period when an ending of some description is appropriate. This full moon may signal a house move or a temporary change of location; it could mark a fork in your career path or some comings and goings regarding family members. Taurus is not renowned for its love of change and letting go, but every so often such processes are necessary, and rather than being a painful experience, you may instead feel exhilarated and liberated. With this in mind, make the most of your opportunities now to clear house and prepare for a new chapter.
2nd August 2004 - 8th August 2004 Taurus, the Bull, likes to keep its feet on the ground: it doesn’t like surprises and it positively hates being misled. Therefore, you’ll need to put on your rose-coloured spectacles this week and remember that not everything you see and hear is real. There is also a small chance that someone will lead you up the proverbial garden path. This is the ideal climate for romance to flourish and to become swept up in flights of fancy - these things are all right in their place, of course, but if you’re trying to string some facts and figures together, and needing to be in the right place at the agreed time, you may find you face an uphill struggle.
9th August 2004 - 15th August 2004 There isn’t always a lot to recommend Mercury retrograde, but there are a few pluses: for a start, you can revisit a much loved place, go back over old ground and re-think a few issues. Therefore, if you’re still planning your August diary, why not build in some time for review and research. However, if you have a tight travel schedule or you are hoping to tie up an agreement, put yourself in slow-motion. Other people will be difficult to pin down and trying to reach destinations on time could prove to be a task too far. Fortunately, elsewhere in the cosmos, harmony reigns, making this one of the best weeks for a romantic celebration or for making a long-term investment, whether in financial or emotional terms.
16th August 2004 - 22nd August 2004 Knowing what Taurus is like about last moment decisions and unforeseen change, consider this your early-warning system. Uranus is centre stage of the astrology, so you will be a Bull in a million if no one rattles your chain this week. On the other hand, if you've been complaining that life is dull, expect to be dazzled! This is an ideal climate in which to reveal a plan that you have been labouring with for some time; it is also the perfect moment to tell someone how you feel about him or her. And if you've been longing to try your hand at a new skill or sample some new fare, you have all the planetary momentum you need. Just, don't be surprised if events and other people take your breath away.
23rd August 2004 - 29th August 2004 Yet another week of Uranian arrivals and departures. There's nothing intrinsically 'bad' about Uranus, of course, it's just that little runs according to plan when he's around. This is a week in which to try different activities and explore unknown territory, and if you've been waiting for some results or seeking a response to a question, all should be revealed. Half the battle with these kinds of influences is being prepared for changes and unusual developments - that way you get to discover some new strategies and gain some badly needed clarity. You may have the reputation of being one of the most solid and reliable members of the zodiac but this may be the time to ask yourself, who benefits most from your dependability - you or other people?
30th August 2004 - 5th September 2004 You should receive some answers to questions this week, and if you have been waiting to make contact with people, you should now be able to reach them. You are not the only one getting back on track at the moment, and while you may have experienced some frustration and concern about one situation in particular, there have been good reasons for any delay - something you may well discover by Friday. Monday's full moon symbolizes the end of a gestation period, so within the next month you should be bringing something new into being. For some Taureans, babies and children are the focus for this trend while others will be forming a new romantic relationship or starting a fresh working endeavour.
6th September 2004 - 12th September 2004 Even if you're sitting pretty at the moment, other people are not, and that could be enough to derail a perfectly good plan. Ideally, you should keep your arrangements fluid and be tolerant and understanding should someone not be able to fulfil a promise or make a decision that goes against your wishes. In this kind of astrological climate, people reach the end of their tethers and even the most laid-back individual starts feeling the pressure. Especially where money and collaborations are concerned, this is a time to assess the wisdom of your strategies and the viability of a commitment, and if the situation is found wanting, you need to ask yourself whether you should throw good money after bad.
13th September 2004 - 19th September 2004 Feeling energetic? Ready to take the world by storm? Well, you could under these dynamic stars. The sun and Mars give you an edge in competitive situations and the ability to make key decisions in the heat of the moment: indeed, should you be feeling stressed or restless, sport and physical activity are the ideal antidotes. There is also an unpredictable element to life at the moment, whether this translates as your making an impulse decision or someone giving you a surprise. And if you have been wondering when might be the best moment to start a new venture or bring something new into being, this is it.
20th September 2004 - 26th September 2004 As the season changes, so too does the rhythm and focus of the astrology. You are entering a phase when matters related to your health, life-style and work take precedence, and with impressive Jupiter on board, you can expect some positive changes during the next twelve months. First, however, it seems you must deal with an old bogie, by which I mean, you need make a decision about a situation that has been causing you aggravation. Under Pluto, something should be shed, whether it is a commitment, a belief or some extra baggage. Once you have confronted the issue and taken the appropriate steps, you will have lightened your load considerably. Make this an autumn of new starts.
27th September 2004 - 3rd October 2004 Mention the word, increase, and your eyes will light up: say the word, inflation, and all the alarm bells go off. You see, that's the trouble with Jupiter - when he's in good spirits, you get more than your share of good luck and happiness, but when those thunderclouds roll in, you have to run for cover. Which is my way of saying that this week's star-clustered alignments could add greatly to your personal or financial lot: on the other hand, a situation that has been gradually spiralling out of control could now be in free fall. If the latter scenario applies, my advice is to put an immediate stop to your efforts; withdraw before you waste any more time, heartache or money. Equilibrium will return, and sooner than you think.
4th October 2004 - 10th October 2004 Neptune and Uranus play equal parts in this week's astrology: while Neptune inspires and Uranus awakens, when these two planets are combined they are capable of turning the most solid arrangement into chaos. Therefore, before you head off to a meeting or spend hours preparing for an event, make sure everyone else involved has all their ducks in a row too. On the plus side, this is a week when a dream of a job could materialize or some other hope is fulfilled, but on the down side, someone may change his or her mind, and an endeavour may be unable to go ahead. Keep your feet on the ground and your sense of irony at the ready.
11th October 2004 - 17th October 2004 Mercury, the planet of communication, is your little helper this week. Indeed, exchanging ideas and finding common ground is the theme of the moment. It may be that a partner or someone who is close shares a secret or reveals how they feel about you or a joint matter. On the other hand, an organization or someone at work could make you an offer that is not just out of the blue but would take you in a very different direction. As one of the more traditional and cautious signs of the zodiac, you may need some encouragement from me to make a break with the past but even if you have no proof of success this is a week to follow your hunches and take a chance.
18th October 2004 - 24th October 2004 This is not the most light-hearted of weeks. Nothing will come easily, although what you achieve will stand the test of time. Even if you are feeling optimistic and pleased with your lot, other people will be suffering from the miseries and doing their best to bring you down to their level. You'll need to be patient with work in general and colleagues in particular, and if you get the thumbs down to a project, or something you had high hopes for appears to be turning pear-shaped, be practical and gracious. Time changes many things, and what currently seems such a negative may, in the future, turn out to be a major plus. On the 23rd, the sun enters the area of relationships, turning your attention to the importance of sharing and caring.
25th October 2004 - 31st October 2004 There could be a link between events of late October/early November and last May, so should any development take you by surprise now, consider its origins go back some six or twelve months. Thursday's total lunar eclipse is in your sign, and it brings its powerful theme of closure and completion to the late April and early May birthdays in particular. This would be an appropriate time to consider leaving a job, or changing some aspect of your working life: it would be an ideal time to make a big decision about a romantic or working relationship too. You may not be one of the signs that relishes the new and the different, but on this occasion a change of direction will benefit you tremendously.
1st November 2004 - 7th November 2004 This is not the most plain-sailing of weeks, in fact, events could prove downright mysterious, and certainly complex. You will need to double-check information given you, and someone may not be quite the person you believe him or her to be, so without becoming totally paranoid, avoid being pressed into making a decision until you have established the truth. Neptune is the chief mischief maker, and while this planet can create an intensely spiritual, compassionate and romantic climate - perfect for a wedding or reunion - dis-information and devious behaviour also proliferates. Remain cautiously optimistic about a current plan or new relationship, and do not overreact to a rumour.
8th November 2004 - 14th November 2004 Friday's new moon appears in the zone of love and relating, and it is a sign of a new season. For some Taureans, a new romantic interest is poised to enter your life, for others, a new chapter is about to begin in a marriage, and for a few, an unexpected development in a partner's life could change the rhythm, if not the direction, of your day to day existence. You may not always welcome new people or new situations into your life with open arms, but it is through the new and the different that growth and prosperity can now begin. If you do nothing else this week, make a change in your routine, especially where a relationship is concerned, and watch what happens.
15th November 2004 - 21st November 2004 The planets are not doing any of us any favours this week, so do your best to improve matters by displaying tolerance, fortitude and good humour in the face of any frustrating moments. Top of the list of complaints could be travel and transportation: the going may prove slow, and there could be delays and cancellations. However, there is a possibility that what appears to be an obstacle to your progress is in fact a helpful factor. Flaws and failings in endeavours and arrangements are revealed under these stars, which if unchecked could lead to difficulties in the future. And by the same token, what comes into being at this time will indeed stand the test of time.
22nd November 2004 - 28th November 2004 On the 22nd Venus heads into the zone of love and relating for a month-long stay. This is one of the nicer planetary transits, and you can certainly expect people to be more open to your ideas and more supportive and loving. However, before Venus can perform her good works on your love life in particular and your existence in general, Uranus needs to make a change. A last minute invitation could lead to the birth of a new and exciting association, or a friend or colleague could introduce you to someone who will awaken you to new ideas and possibilities. The only downside to this astro-scape is that a friendship or collaboration, already in difficulties, could finally snap.
29th November 2004 - 5th December 2004 With sexy Mars and Venus in the area of love and relating you cannot blame your stars for lack of attention, indeed, this should be one of the most exciting periods of the year for your love life. Thus, if you are perched happily on cloud nine, thank your brilliant stars but if you are among that small Taurean number experiencing some confusion over a relationship, expect things to reach something of a peak this week. Neptune is weaving magic or mayhem into your romantic and business affairs and try as you might to gain a grip on what is going on, this may not be achievable now. Your best bet is to let situations unravel all by themselves, neither subscribing to the worst or best case scenarios.
A spell-binding week.
6th December 2004 - 12th December 2004 Try not to get tied up in knots over a financial matter. Admittedly, institutions and partners will not be bending over backwards to make life easy for you, but by taking emotions out of the equation, you will find the solution. If a large bill has to be paid or a sum of money you were expecting fails to materialize, play for time - it may take until after Christmas to iron out a financial glitch but iron it out you will. On the other hand, finances may not be the source of this week's ups and downs but other people's actions could impact on your plans and expectations. Take a step back and wait for the dust to settle, which it surely will.
A storm in a tea-cup?
13th December 2004 - 19th December 2004 Just at a time when you want to be enjoying yourself and forgetting about the difficulties of life, the cosmos delivers a hammer blow. Finances are probably bearing the brunt of the aggro, and this is not the best of weeks to expect institutions or partners to acquiesce to your needs and suggestions. Then again, it may not be money that represents a bone of contention but a relationship itself. Events are bringing out the best and worst of people at this time, so your place is to be tolerant and understanding, unless, of course, you know deep down that an association has run its course and it is time to let go. You will not be the only one reaching profound understandings this week.
Reaching a conclusion.
20th December 2004 - 26th December 2004 No one has been making these last three weeks easy for you - certainly not planet, Mercury, which has been causing annoying delays and general confusion. But, just in time for Christmas, the cosmos sorts itself out, helping you to reach your targets and your destinations. Finances look to be on the receiving end of a bonus, and at the very least you should be able to resolve a monetary glitch. Christmas could be a highly emotional celebration this year, perhaps because of some family news or because aspects of home life will be changing in the New Year. The full moon of the 26th allows you to bury any hatchets and move on !
Closing the circle.
27th December 2004 - 2nd January 2005 Hopefully, you're in the mood for some excitement, because this is precisely what Uranus has in mind for the weekend. There is an aura of the new and the different in the astrology - entirely appropriate for the season, of course - so the more open you are to the unconventional and the unusual, the better. These alignments are focusing on the creative and financial areas of your solar chart, so some Taureans will be making the most of the bargains to be had on the high street while others will be clearing the decks of Christmas past and setting their sights on next year's big agenda. Big productions of one sort or another are part and parcel of this week's astrology.
New starts all round.
3rd January 2005 - 9th January 2005 This is anything but a gentle return to the working week. A series of aspects to mighty Pluto and larger than life Jupiter means that the good news is fantastic and the bad, well, let's just say you won't be short of a conversation topic for January. Finances are the focus for these stirring alignments, and while it is possible that you'll receive moneys owed to you or that a financial deal is finally struck, if you have overstretched the budget or made an unwise monetary move, a nip and tuck exercise could be in order. Nevertheless, this kind of astro-scape is also perfect for a passionate reunion or a profound statement from the heart.
An extreme start to the new year.
10th January 2005 - 16th January 2005 Not everyone loves an appearance by Saturn, but since the New Year events may have interfered with your usual routine so this planet will now bring you down to earth - and, hopefully, not with a bang ! A dialogue or meeting should produce solid results and if you've been in need of facts rather than a string of vagueries, you'll get them. Nevertheless, if there is a problem with this week's Saturnian influences it may well manifest in regard to travel: a long and less than enjoyable journey is one possible outcome, a painful discussion is another. Take your time, and above all keep your sense of perspective.
Getting there.
17th January 2005 - 23rd January 2005 Positive influences between the areas of finance and work can only help your cause - and in some cases they could turn a recent difficulty into a success story. Organizations and individuals can now be approached with a view to resolving a money matter, and you should find that people are more generous with funds and in spirit than they have been for some weeks. If you have been wondering when to open up discussions regarding a salary increase or wishing to gain support and cooperation for an idea this buoyant astro-scape is almost as good as it gets. I know 2005 got off to a miserable start, but it's beginning to make up for lost time.
Almost as good as it gets.
24th January 2005 - 30th January 2005 January is not going out with a whimper - it's going out with a flourish. Fortunately, you are by nature a cautious, observant sign so you will have noted any potential problems already and begun to deal with them. And, if a difficulty takes you by surprise, you still have enough reserves - financial and otherwise - to overcome a challenge. Saturn and Pluto are on top form this week and these two planets bring about events that appear to be not of our making, yet somewhere, deep in the past, we have consciously or unconsciously contributed to them. Thus, if a situation falls apart at the seams or an ambition is thwarted, maybe, just maybe this is precisely what you want and need...
Food for thought.
31st January 2005 - 6th February 2005 Stalwart, realistic, Taurus, where are your normal signposts this week? Gone the way of Neptune, I fear! Put another way, this is one of those periods when truth is stranger than fiction and getting a grip on situations is akin to climbing a slippery pole. This state of being could be fun, of course, but just in case you were hoping for some clear cut answers or to have an offer in writing, don't hold your breath - solid results are going to be hard to come by. Try instead to give situations room to breathe, and when making plans allow for alternatives and escape hatches - that way, you won't experience a sense of disappointment or betrayal.
Be fluid in your expectations.
7th February 2005 - 13th February 2005 You can put these upwardly mobile influences to any use you choose, or you can simply stand back and wait to see what happens. It may be that after some months of hard labour and intense negotiations your efforts are to be rewarded; alternatively, an opportunity may suddenly present itself. The career zones of your chart are in the centre of these abundant alignments, and this is certainly a week in which to market your talents and take a calculated professional or financial risk. All too often the cosmos hands us a booby prize, dashing our hopes and breaking our dreams but on this occasion there are only gifts from the planetary gods! Obey your instincts and trust in the divine process.
Nothing succeeds like success.
14th February 2005 - 20th February 2005 The journey through the land of Neptune goes on, which means life continues to be rather fuzzy at the edges, and your thoughts may be more than usually turned to romance and things of a spiritual and ephemeral nature. Neptune is, like all the planets, a double edged sword: on the one hand falling in love and manifesting the impossible dream can all happen under Neptune, yet so too can disappointment, even rejection and certainly self-delusion. Therefore a rich and varied feast lies ahead this week, and while I cannot predict whether you'll be over the moon with developments I can assure you that you'll be under Neptune!
A dream of a week.
21st February 2005 - 27th February 2005 As February bows out, Uranus enters with a flourish. On the plus side, this light-bringing planet could inspire a brilliant idea or enable you to suddenly see the way in which a situation is heading, but on the down side, there could be unexpected breakdowns in communication, and a last minute development could alter a plan. This is not the time to expect people or situations to conform to their blueprints - it is a time of awakenings and new directions. As always, when the cosmos is this unstable, the celestial Bull snorts and fretfully paws the earth, but if you decide to flow with events rather than resisting them, you may find that everything has indeed turned out for the best.
Nothing stays the same forever.
28th February 2005 - 7th March 2005 March comes in with the force and capriciousness of a spring storm. Discoveries of one sort or another are about to be made, and if you have been waiting for the impetus to do something - anything! - about a situation, you've got all the planetary assistance you need. Other people could be central to this week's surprising developments - an unexpected announcement by a friend or colleague, perhaps, or an unanticipated problem regarding a work endeavour or a social arrangement. Whatever the surprise, do your best to remain cool and good-natured - what at the time may seem an inconvenience could turn out to be a blessing.
A welcome change.
7th March 2005 - 13th March 2005 This kind of astrological climate suits the celestial Bull down to the ground: there are no frills and no vagaries - everything is solid, understandable, if a little joyless and uncomfortable. Travel and communications get the Mars-Saturn treatment, which means contracts can be signed, verdicts given and plans cemented. On the other hand, an arrangement that was proceeding in a straight line could hit a rather large bureaucratic bump in the road. If you have any choice in the matter, now would be an excellent time to make a decision but if events steer you in the direction of an all or nothing action, be assured you have the strength and the wisdom to deal with the consequences.
Drawing lines in the sand.
14th March 2005 - 20th March 2005 This is one of those weeks when your cautious, steady nature is a positive boon. Especially where finances or a close relationship are concerned, there is more to events than meets the eye, and someone's initial reaction to what you say or do may belie his or her true feelings. Pluto brings buried issues into the open; it also takes you back into the past. With this in mind, what is uncovered at this time could radically alter a situation, whether this means you should invest more financial or emotional capital in a commitment or whether you should divest yourself of an endeavour or association. There is a boom-bust aura about this astro-scape: it's not for cissies!
No half measures.
21st March 2005 - 27th March 2005 Take your astrologer's advice and forget about climbing Mount Everest for now - this is your time to rest and retreat from the world. Of course, this may be completely impractical for most Taureans but even if you must continue to man your domestic ship and join in the rat race, you can at least devote some quiet time to yourself each and every day. With the sun, Venus and Mercury all secreted in the twelfth house of your solar chart, you are more physically and emotionally vulnerable: health requires more care and attention, and you should avoid people who and situations that stress you out. Consider yourself to be hibernating, but with purpose.
Take a rain check.
28th March 2005 - 3rd April 2005 There is nothing small or insignificant about this week's events. Jupiter is at maximum force so the good is fantastic and the bad, well, let's just say you'll have a talking point for some time to come. With the sun in its most occluded position this is an ideal period to take a step back from life, whether this translates as having a break from work and routine or whether you need to distance yourself from a situation. Even if you are about to take on a welcome commitment or you are anxious to get moving on an endeavour, go slowly and prepare the ground fully. It may also be that although you consider nothing exciting is happening something is in fact taking root that will please you greatly in the future.
Have faith.
1st April 2005 - 30th April 2005
4th April 2005 - 10th April 2005 Saturn takes charge of this week's events, so while abundance and joy may be in short supply, there will be realism aplenty. Anything of a legal or contractual nature can be accomplished now, and if you've been waiting for someone to make a decision or needing to find out how you truly feel about a situation, illumination is on its way. By contrast, you may be feeling less than your best or experiencing a lapse in confidence; if so, this is not the time to push yourself to the limit or to indulge in a self-blame exercise. In just a little over a week the sun will enter your sign, and your physical and mental stores will be replenished and your optimism restored.
Be kind to yourself
11th April 2005 - 17th April 2005 Beautiful Venus arrives in your sign on 15th, ready and prepared to bring a little love into your life. This planet is synonymous with the pleasure principle, thus between now and mid-May becomes one of the premium periods of 2005 for happy events and lucky breaks. Venus provides you with more than your usual share of charm particles and this combined with solid self-belief enables you to score a success, whether in love and personal life or in regard to your career and worldly ambitions. Your only obstacle to pure happiness this week could be the confusion created by Mars' proximity to elusive Neptune ' don't leave anything to chance.
Keep your eye on the ball.
18th April 2005 - 24th April 2005 Lunar eclipses can be spectacular sights to see, but whether or not Sunday's eclipsed full moon is visible, its effect on your life could be profound, especially if your birthday takes place between the 20th and 28th of April. This eclipse falls in the seventh house of relationships, and it symbolizes the completion of a cycle. Thus, this would be a perfect time to marry or to acknowledge the depth of your love and commitment to another person, or it would be an ideal moment in which to sign a contract or sew up a deal. By stark contrast, should a professional or romantic relationship be in a rocky state this cosmic state of affairs will encourage you to make an appropriate decision.
Closure and completion.
25th April 2005 - 1st May 2005 Venus in your sign is a beautiful thing: life becomes more pleasure-oriented, your capacity to love and be loved is increased and you feel enriched, sometimes quite literally since money is in greater supply but more often metaphorically in that you see greater value in your life. Now Venus hooks up to dreamy Neptune, making your thoughts turn ever more strongly to romance and evoking your spiritual and compassionate nature. Someone you meet could seem to be your soul-mate or someone in need could pull at your heart strings. Nevertheless, in amidst all this haze and harmony, you may need to remember that coming down from Cloud Nine can be painful!
What goes up must come down
2nd May 2005 - 8th May 2005 As an earth sign you are rational, reasonable and moderate in your actions, however something seems to have clouded your clarity. It could be that you are swept away by someone or something and cannot see beyond the stars in your eyes; on the other hand, you could have been deliberately misled. The time has come to put your two feet solidly on the ground and examine the facts. And if no one will give you the full story, or, despite reassurances, you still feel doubtful, ask for more time before turning a maybe into a reality. By all means enjoy the romance of the moment, but don't be taken in by pure moonshine!
All that glitters...
9th May 2005 - 15th May 2005 On the 12th, Mercury, the planet of communication, arrives in your sign, thereby encouraging you to turn ideas into action, or at least discuss them with the relevant people, and generally generating more movement in life. Just how much Sunday's Mars-Uranus conjunction will help or hinder this process rather depends... On the one hand, if you're ready to make a brave and unconventional move, you can do so - and in style: on the other hand, were you hoping that an already volatile situation would settle down, forget it! This is a time to make changes and to be open to alternatives - resisting the inevitable is no game-plan.
Be adaptable.
16th May 2005 - 22nd May 2005 This is one of those confusing weeks when information goes walk-about and what you believed to be as solid as a rock begins to resemble a bowl of jelly. To the Taurus mind, what looks like a duck, talks like a duck and walks like a duck is self-evidently a duck - however, you are about to receive a lesson in the permeability of things. Sometimes what looked workable at one time becomes completely unfeasible due to changing circumstances, and this could well be the case at the moment. Try not to fuss if an arrangement has to be postponed or someone changes his or her mind. There is more than one way of looking at current developments.
Alter your perspective.
23rd May 2005 - 29th May 2005 There is a chance of your becoming tied up in a financial knot. You are one of the most security-oriented signs, and while this helps you maintain solvency and perfect financial equilibrium most of the time, occasionally, circumstances beyond your control upset the applecart. With this in mind, rather than wait for organizations and other people to fulfil their obligations, a firm reminder about payments and meeting deadlines would not go amiss. By contrast, this week could mark the completion of a contract regarding a property or the moment agreement is reached on a settlement or salary structure. This week isn't all about money but it is about settling the score and righting the balance.
Maintaining balance.
30th May 2005 - 5th June 2005 Are you ready for some serious fun? Uranus is planning a week of surprises so from Monday onwards, throw out your blueprints, clear your diary and get on your marks. The trouble is that consistent and constant Taurus rarely likes sudden change or unexpected gestures, even if they do come from the heart and add to your life. Finances look to be the centre of any unusual developments this week, whether you suddenly receive a bonus or an out of the blue event precipitates a mini cash-crisis, but whatever emerges in the way of new information, see it as a blessing and not as a curse. It's time you made a discovery and at least added to your bank of knowledge.
Eyes wide open.
6th June 2005 - 12th June 2005 If you are planning to make a large investment or attending a meeting in which finances play a central part, go with all the figures at your disposal and don't expect an easy ride. Pluto is in the financial mix, so problems that arise will almost certainly have a long history, and you will need to dig deep in order to find solutions. Not that this astroscape portends failure or broken dreams: rather, these aspects suggest complexity and a need to be open to compromise. And not just in regard to finances but to other issues that now raise their heads. Part of the problem is that other people are under pressure and you could be caught up in their angst.
Put on your diplomatic boots.
13th June 2005 - 19th June 2005 Pluto has not been making life as easy as it might, if only because other people are turning to you for advice and leaning on you for support through a crisis. On the other hand, you may be dealing with a personal challenge or three, and wondering where the next bullet is coming from! It may be that a long-standing issue is now reaching crunch-point and since the area of finances is involved, you could be about to make a major investment - perhaps linked to a property - or a large debt or monetary responsibility needs to be met. Whatever looms large on your screen of life, you have the power, the resources and the wisdom to deal with it.
The force is with you.
20th June 2005 - 26th June 2005 As the month draws to a close, you too seem to be drawing some conclusions. A combination of the full moon and a Venus-Saturn get-together in the zone of communications helps you make realistic and lasting decisions. However, perhaps because of the time it takes and the weightiness of the decision, you may feel somewhat drained and joyless. Fortunately, Jupiter's equally strong presence should lighten the load, encouraging you to feel optimistic about the future and certainly pleased with the way you have handled everything. There is even a chance that what started out as a week of chores and challenges ends up as a happy ever after story.
A roller-coaster ride.
27th June 2005 - 3rd July 2005 With the entry of Venus and Mars into the home base of your chart, the stage is a set for a two-month season of major family and property developments. Should you have been looking at your four square walls and seeing signs of distress, a bout of serious decoration and renovation could be imminent and if there have been upsets in the family the beginning of a season of rapprochement is beginning. There are also signs of activity in the area of travel and communications, pointing to a journey or conversation that will make a positive difference to your outlook. All in all, this is a week of progress and good relations.
Getting there.
4th July 2005 - 10th July 2005 Are you ready to stretch your feet and spread your wings? Wednesday's new moon in the zone of travel and communications signals a journey, whether of the global variety or in mind and spirit. Taurus tends to be cautious when it comes to venturing out of familiar territory or adopting new ideas, but this is the perfect time to add to your bank of knowledge and experience. There could also be some good news winging its way to you, if not this week then before the end of the month, and if you've been trying to pluck up the courage to ask someone a question or make some other important move, you couldn't have a better launching pad.
A new outlook.
11th July 2005 - 17th July 2005 The information highway is covered in fog, turning mundane events into big mysteries and making you question the actions and intentions of certain individuals. The trouble is the more you try to get answers the more confusing situations become. However, this is only a temporary phenomenon and as the week goes by you will gain clarity and there could be an entirely happy ending. Whatever events you have to look forward to, as far as the astrology goes there is only one big story - the arrival of Saturn at the base of your chart. From this point on and for the next two years the biggest challenges and the greatest joys will be found on home territory.
Stay centred.
18th July 2005 - 24th July 2005 The pace of life is slow, which is great if you're on holiday or wanting to reach a decision that requires research and time, but not so great if you were hoping for an easy passage. It may be that someone can no longer fulfil an obligation or join a gathering due to circumstances beyond his/her control, or you yourself may have reason to delay an event: whatever the case it seems as if plans must be revised and a positive face put on a trying situation. These aspects are perfect for reaching hard decisions and putting the final touches to an endeavour; they are also ideal for solemn celebrations. What is in short supply is unbridled joy.
Time to get serious.
25th July 2005 - 31st July 2005 On the 28th assertive Mars enters your sign for a six-week visit. This planet will help you make progress and it will certainly give you the courage to tackle a major task and stand up for your beliefs: what Mars will also do, however, is make the opposition to your plans fierce, and life will seem rather more conflict-ridden. This weekend gives Mars its first opportunity to show what an asset or a hindrance he can be: on the one hand, the climate is right for signing long-term commitments and beginning a major undertaking but, on the other, you may now discover that an endeavour has serious weaknesses and must be abandoned, at least for the time being.
Pause for thought.
1st August 2005 - 7th August 2005 Friday's new moon at the base of your chart helps you make a new start. This you can do in any way you choose, but it would be particularly appropriate for a new beginning on home territory. A new item for the household, a fresh coat of paint or perhaps a house move can be accomplished now, and if there have been some family squabbles this is the perfect moment to wipe the slate clean and start over. I'm not sure whether or not Neptune will aid your fresh start but it will give you extra stores of compassion and help love to triumph over any obstacles. And should Neptune suddenly produce a giant question mark over a situation, don't panic but check and re-check the facts.
Sense and sensibility.
8th August 2005 - 14th August 2005 By the weekend this period of smoke and mirrors will be at an end and you will once again be able to trust your judgment and the word of other people, but until then please treat information relayed to you with scepticism. Sometimes, alignments like these make a dream come true, and you can certainly use your imagination to good effect, but more often than not life is full of mysterious twists and turns, and you may feel bewildered, even disappointed. Especially where property and family matters are concerned, ignore rumours and innuendo, and if someone pulls out of an agreement or circumstances interfere with a planned event, assume it's in your best interests.
Curiouser and curiouser.
15th August 2005 - 21st August 2005 With communication expert, Mercury, getting back on track, some of the mysteries and mis-connections of the past few weeks should begin to clear up. Indeed, clarity should be returning at the rate of knots. You may also find that what seemed such a set-back earlier in the month is now looking like a change for the better. A delightful link between Jupiter in the area of work and Neptune in the zone of life direction brings an element of divine providence into play. On the one hand this may translate as a lucky career break, and, on the other, as an opportune moment to seek a solution to a long-standing problem.
Getting straight.
22nd August 2005 - 28th August 2005 Mars has been in your sign for a month so already you may have benefited from a surge of enthusiasm and drive - you may also have experienced the occasional spat with people to whom you are close. Now deceptive Neptune dips his trident in the mix sending up clouds of spray and obscuring the view. In these conditions you can embark on a flight of fancy and enjoy the view from the spiritual high-ground, but there is also a chance that you will lose your way or fail to get a solid grip on a situation. With this in mind, avoid making decisions under pressure and if you're not satisfied that you have enough information, refuse to go forward until you do.
Smoke gets in your eyes...
29th August 2005 - 4th September 2005 September opens on a controversial note, so don't set too much store by routine and tradition - it's time to ring in the changes. It may be that a close friend or new romantic interest makes an unexpected decision or it could be you who decides that the old ways are not always the best ways. Events happen suddenly and with speed in this climate, so if you are in the process of bringing something into being, make sure you're ready for take-off. If I have a quibble about these stars it is that other people may not have the patience or forethought to act in a sensible manner, and this could upset more than your equilibrium.
Take off!
5th September 2005 - 11th September 2005 The first half of September promises to be a time of surprises - hopefully all welcome but should you feel that someone has deliberately gone against your wishes do your best not to overreact. The chances are that a friend or colleague is dealing with challenging developments and you have somehow become a casualty of his or her dilemma. Also, while you are a sign that likes to take its time to reach conclusions and to absorb change, this astrological set-up is all about speed and wildfire events. On Sunday, gorgeous Venus arrives in the relationship zone, all set to smooth out the wrinkles in romantic and working partnerships.
Keep your feet on the ground.
12th September 2005 - 18th September 2005 September looks as though it will leave a powerful imprint on your life, whether you already have a big date in your diary or whether out of the blue events make a huge difference to your outlook. Venus, currently brightening up the relationship sector, meets up with Saturn over the weekend, creating the perfect climate in which to make a lasting impression on someone new or to make a binding commitment to someone old! Yet the week is not without its ups and downs, not least because other people are feeling wobbly and in no mood to compromise. Take things one step at a time and don't lose your perspective or your sense of humour.
All things in moderation.
19th September 2005 - 25th September 2005 Since Uranus and Pluto are taking a break you too can look forward to some less challenging activities. Indeed, with Venus poised to meet divine Neptune over the weekend you could be heading for romantic heaven, and at the very least someone who has been frosty towards you could start to thaw out. It may also be that you have been trying to deal with a situation in a strictly practical manner, and not making much headway, thus you may fare a whole lot better by adopting a more fluid approach and allowing your feelings to show. In this healing and compassionate climate miracles can take place...
Gently does it.
26th September 2005 - 2nd October 2005 For the past two months, Mars has been steadily making its way through your sign, and is the reason why projects have taken off like Discovery or that you have felt permanently engaged in battle. Now this feisty planet turns on its heel, thereby slowing your progress and diffusing some of the friction. Indeed, between now and early December you will have the opportunity to re-think one or more situations and to take more of a behind-the-scenes role in life. And with the sun and Mercury currently focusing on work and well being, you may now have your first taste of a well-deserved rest or a reward for labours well done.
A pit-stop.
3rd October 2005 - 9th October 2005 Venus may be heading out of the zone of love and relating but she is moving on to make a positive difference to your finances. Between now and mid-November represents a favourable period for negotiating loans and settling long-standing financial matters: you may also find that employers and partners are feeling more generous... However, whether or not this week's solar eclipse will help or hinder your career progress remains to be seen. Technically, this eclipse signals a new cycle for business affairs, which may manifest in a complete change of job for some Taureans, and a new regime at work for others. Indeed, one way or another, an old pattern of existence is about to bite the dust.
A positive change.
10th October 2005 - 16th October 2005 Uranus and Saturn take entirely different roles in your life: the former opens you up to new experiences and changes long-established patterns while the latter favours traditional methods and keeps you on the same track. So with these two planets holding equal sway now, you could sense that you are between the devil and the deep blue sea. My feeling, however, is that you should let something or someone go at this point, even if it is for a short time. Especially where money or a friendship is concerned, a new attitude and fresh structures need to be created, and since you continue to have Mars on your shoulder, it's up to you to make the first move.
A change of gear.
17th October 2005 - 23rd October 2005 It's not like you to be impulsive but something looks set to light your fuse this week. It may be that an associate fails to measure up to expectations or that someone is found out in a lie, so there seems to be no option other than to sever the connection. In most cases cutting out the dead wood, so to speak, is the right thing to do but since Neptune is also in the mix there is a slight chance that you have made a misunderstanding or that part of your information is missing, thus reserving judgment would be advisable for now. Over the weekend your equilibrium will return, along with your sense of humour and your sense of perspective!
Fair and balanced?
24th October 2005 - 30th October 2005 Get out the flags and the ticker tape - on the 26th expansive Jupiter moves into the area of relating. Jupiter will teach you all you ever wanted to know about winning friends and influencing people, and over the course of the next twelve months this planet will also inspire new and improved working partnerships and romantic alliances. And speaking of romance... Saturday's Venus-Pluto conjunction brings out the best and worst in affairs of the heart, making some Taureans feel they have no choice other than to give into their passion and others to believe that a lover has stretched their patience and understanding to the limit.
All or nothing.
31st October 2005 - 6th November 2005 The subject of relationships has come up more than once recently and now with a new moon in the zone of partnerships there is evidence of a new era beginning here. Certainly, this first half of November is a period in which you should bring to an end any unresolved feelings and make an affirmation that old patterns do not have to repeat themselves. Saturn's presence does not always guarantee joy and abundance but if you have a contract to sign or a serious decision to make this planet will be right behind you. Indeed, if you are marrying this week or joining an organization the signs are that it will a long-term union.
Binding commitments.
7th November 2005 - 13th November 2005
This is the strangest of alignments, so if you are already feeling dazed and confused, at least you'll know there is a reason. On the downside, your actions could be misinterpreted by others now or the energy you expend will come to naught; on the plus side, a selfless deed could bring unexpected benefits and your faith in someone or something could prove absolutely right. What may help you successfully negotiate your way through this astrological maze is finding some quiet time in order to locate what your heart is telling you. Even facts and figures could be subject to mistakes and varied interpretations.
The heart has the answer.
14th November 2005 - 20th November 2005 Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, along comes retrograde Mercury and a full moon, forcing you into a cul-de-sac. All the charm in the world may not work its magic on someone at the moment, so your best bet is to distance yourself for the time being and wait for normal service to be resumed. What is not recommended is forcing an issue with a company or an individual or sticking to your opinions and demands without allowing anyone any wiggle room. There is a lesson to be learned from mid-November's events and looking into the past may help you find it all the quicker. You will also gain from giving other people time and space.
Going over the past.
21st November 2005 - 27th November 2005 This is not your average week. Uranus has plenty of tricks up his sleeve, if only with the intention of making you wake up and smell the coffee. Finances are in Uranus's sights at the moment, raising the prospect of a sudden and unexpected gain or an equally unscheduled drain on your resources. While it is usually better to tread cautiously in this kind of climate, I am going to encourage you to make an unusual move and to pursue alternative ideas rather than the traditional. Likewise, should a friend or colleague make a surprise confession, do your best to accept the news philosophically and with compassion.
Interesting times.
28th November 2005 - 4th December 2005 Finances are the focus for the good, the bad and the egregious this week. On the one hand Uranus makes for an unexpected turn of events - and with monetary implications - and, on the other, Saturn sets the stage for a finite decision, first and foremost linked to a property matter and second to a family plan. And with Mercury getting back on track on Sunday, people who have been difficult to reach or to pin down to a firm yes or no, are ready to tango! Normally a sign who favours the tried and trusted, you'll get far further now by following your instincts and taking a bit of a risk, especially where affairs of the heart are concerned.
Taking chances.
5th December 2005 - 11th December 2005 Mars follows in communication chief Mercury's footsteps and rights itself, thus allowing you to act on information received recently. You may also find that in place of a degree of reticence and uncertainty you are now sure of what you want and how best to get it. Indeed, this is one of the most fertile periods of the year in terms of achieving your personal or professional objectives. An individual or company could make you an offer that is hard to refuse or you may at last be able to sign on the dotted line, whether in regard to a romantic relationship or a business association. Don't let unnecessary fears of the worst-case scenario stand in your way.
Go for it!
12th December 2005 - 18th December 2005 If the latter part of this week does not see some major activity in your bank account then you can expect some big ripples in a relationship. Pluto is acting as ring-master and this planet likes nothing better than to bring past issues to the surface and to force you to dig deep into your financial and emotional reserves. Indeed, this week could prove to be something of a turning point, especially if you have a birthday on or near 30th April. Should you have to make a large investment now, do so in the confidence that it is the right thing to do at this point in time, and should you feel other people have made a decision that arbitrarily affects you, assume everything is proceeding as it should.
A fateful week.
19th December 2005 - 25th December 2005 The sun leaves its recent hidey-hole and enters the ninth house of overseas interests and long-range plans, so if you are heading away for the holiday season the stars are with you! Not that the week is entirely without incident. Uranus plays a key role in turning one of your ideas upside down, and where travel is concerned there could be traffic jams and unexpected delays and detours. Fortunately, any changes of agenda will prove helpful to your cause - indeed something you had not been looking forward to could be cancelled - and you will reach your destinations, wherever and whatever they may be. Christmas Day takes you on a journey of nostalgia.
An unexpected gift.
26th December 2005 - 1st January 2006 Not perhaps the sweetest of postscripts to Christmas. The cosmos is getting tough and you too need to be firm with certain people and expedient with certain situations. The family could be the source of much of the aggro, whether there has been too much of a good time had by all and now the balance must be righted or whether you are forced to confront a reality. Happily, on the 30th a new moon in the area of distant horizons promises a fresh outlook before mid-January, whether this manifests as a trip to foreign parts or a new view on an old matter. As for New Year's Eve, with Mercury and Pluto in charge of the celebrations, expect a revelation or two.
A New Year with a difference.
2nd January 2006 - 8th January 2006 After what can only be described as a severe case of Monday-morning blues, the week improves by leaps and bounds. On the 3rd, travel chief, Mercury, enters the zone of far horizons encouraging you to see more of your world, whether in terms of foreign places or by setting new personal and professional targets. The last two months of 2005 no doubt produced some obstacles and delays but by the end of January you will have put a difficult passage behind you, and it all starts from here. You have been looking a little too closely at one or more situations and the time has come to pull back and gain some distance and perspective.
Getting a broader view.
9th January 2006 - 15th January 2006 Isn't it time you stretched your legs? No, I don't just mean a long walk or a trip to the gym but a serious bit of travel. As far as your stars are concerned they are shining brightly on long-distance matters, and tweaking your desire for things of a foreign nature. Perhaps, more importantly, however, these influences are urging you to put some distance between yourself and the recent past, first and foremost in an effort to encourage you to see a difficulty in a more positive light. There is a slight chance that Saturday's full moon will exacerbate tensions in a relationship and cause some communication blips but these can soon be ironed out with generous doses of optimism and good will.
Stepping out.
16th January 2006 - 22nd January 2006 This is one of the trickier periods of January. Mars in your sign is great for giving you confidence and determination but when it tangles with Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn as it does this week complications arise. Should an endeavour mysteriously fall apart at the seams now, try not to fix it until the situation has completely unravelled. Not only could you be short on facts but there's something about the timing of things that has to be taken into consideration. Put another way, the reason a situation has stalled is because not all the pieces of the puzzle are there to complete the picture. A waiting period may now be necessary.
Teething troubles.
23rd January 2006 - 29th January 2006 January produces its first astrological obstacle in the form of a sun-Saturn opposition - not that you will not gain from events of the week ahead. In essence, you are being tested, whether in your resolve to reach a much-desired objective or through your ability to summon up enough physical and mental strength to counter some serious opposition. On the plus side, this is the correct time to put your signature to a long-term contract or to accept a responsibility thrust upon your shoulders, but on the down side you may come to see that an enterprise is no longer workable. As the saying goes, growing up ain't for cissies!
Shouldering the load.
30th January 2006 - 5th February 2006 Thank goodness the Taurus Bull has both its feet on the ground. Between now and mid-February the going is so slippery that you'll need all the common sense you can muster. Especially where your job or a major project is concerned, the information reaching you requires careful examination in order to avert a disappointment or a serious amount of hassle in the future - facts could be missing and people may have their wires crossed. You too could be less than your focused self, perhaps because you are not entirely sure that something or someone represents the right direction in which to go. Trust your instincts, Taurus, and if the situation does not add up, take a rain check.
Don't be bullied!
6th February 2006 - 12th February 2006 Neptune works in many ways, sometimes making dreams come true and at other moments creating nightmares and since this planet is in pride of place at the moment you need to keep your feet on the ground at all times. If a wonderful offer is made to you now, please make sure it is worth the paper it is written on and should you hear on the grapevine that a project or association is in jeopardy check out the facts before you waste any heartache over the matter. In a few short weeks what is currently causing your head to spin will make sense, and you will once again be able to trust information and, more importantly, people in whom you have hope and faith.
Crazy times.
13th February 2006 - 19th February 2006 If there is someone you love who is currently in a distant place, you could receive a most wonderful token of that person's affection this week. The areas of relationships and long-distance are beautifully aligned so even if romance is not top of your list of priorities there could be other ways in which your spirits will be lifted. This is certainly a week with a difference and although you may not positively relish the prospect of change - and overnight change at that - you should be able to see that events represent a window of opportunity. By contrast should someone tread on your sensitive toes, avoid reaching for the firearms - this is a minor detour in an otherwise direct path to your desires.
Stormy but alive.
20th February 2006 - 26th February 2006 Relationships could be the source of great happiness now. Someone you meet, whether for business or personal reasons may well change your fortunes or an individual or organization that you have been involved with for a while could demonstrate their serious appreciation of you. There is a huge amount of good will emanating from these stars, so should you be suspicious of someone's motives or cautious about committing yourself to an endeavour, may I urge you to jump in with both feet? Sometimes he who hesitates is lost and once a boat of opportunity sails out of port, it may never come back.
Believe in people.
27th February 2006 - 5th March 2006 March comes in on a transformational note - largely thanks to the combined effects of Pluto and Uranus. These planets bring about new regimes, and if you've been in denial about anyone or anything they ensure you face a situation warts and all. Ideally, this is a time to declutter your life and create enough space for new projects to grow and prosper, but there's nothing easy about the way this process is inspired. Top of the list for any pruning exercise are finances and collaborations - put another way should you have been struggling to keep a project or an association afloat, depending on the disclosures it might be appropriate to bail out as soon as possible.
Facing the music.
6th March 2006 - 12th March 2006 You will not be able to predict the outcome of one or more situations now. A combination of Saturn and Uranus could change the direction of an endeavour or an association, and what you currently believe to be a no-hoper could prove full of promise while what you believed to be set in cement could show serious signs of crumbling. House sales and purchases are particularly vulnerable to this syndrome, as are domestic and family matters. On the plus side a fabulous Grand Trine with fortunate Jupiter at its apex brings a happy-ever-after theme into play, and certainly the message to follow your heart, come what may.
Que sera, sera.
13th March 2006 - 19th March 2006 This period of the year could turn out to be crucial to one or more of your plans. Pluto and Jupiter are in the mainframe, which means the good news will be spectacular and the bad, well, let's just say it will be one for the memory books! The creative and collaborative zones of your chart are at the heart of these alignments, giving you the power to bring something remarkable into being and the passion to end a project or association that is causing you grief. While you might have reason to point the finger of fate at this week's developments, it is up to you to decide where you go from here. Take your time.
Reaching a watershed.
20th March 2006 - 26th March 2006 Saturn has been a proverbial spanner in the works recently but he changes his tune this week and helps you to make progress, and certainly to see where you have been going wrong. Between now and mid-April there is much to recommend removing your finger from the control button and allowing other people to take on the more demanding duties while you build up your strength. You may also find that matters resolve themselves quite happily without your trying to force them in a specific direction. Over the weekend a divine conjunction of Neptune and Venus creates a loving and healing atmosphere - enough to put to rights one recent upset.
A healing climate.
27th March 2006 - 2nd April 2006 It may be difficult to trust in something that you cannot see or grasp firmly in your hands, but this is currently what you are being asked to do. The sun has just begun its journey through the subterranean twelfth house so much is taking place behind the scenes of life, and it will take some weeks before plans and projects fully manifest. With this in mind, pay particular attention to small incidents or coincidences that occur mid-week, around the time of the solar eclipse. Like the tip of the iceberg, what is underneath a casual offer or a sketchy idea may be much, much bigger than you think.
Pay attention.
3rd April 2006 - 9th April 2006 Life is far from plain sailing this week. A taxing alignment demands a tough response, so if someone or something fails to measure up, this is not the moment to turn a blind eye to the offence but to tackle it firmly. Finances could be the area most under pressure, whether you are having to dig deep into your pockets to fund an enterprise or fulfil a commitment or because a property purchase hits a rut in the road. Good things can come out of this kind of astro-scape but it can rarely be seen at the time, only in retrospect. Thus, while you should remain true to yourself and your principles, you will gain much from being gracious and fair.
Taking the higher path.
10th April 2006 - 16th April 2006 This is not the most straight-forward of weeks for the sensible, sentient Bull. Other people are running around like headless chickens and you may have to be the one to keep them safely penned in. The trouble is, with the sun and now Mercury closeted in the secretive twelfth house, you may be deeply uncertain of which way you too should go. Of course, this astrological tempest will eventually calm down but there could be rather a lot of damage done before it does. Thus, my advice is to keep your own counsel and to buy as much time as possible before making a decision, especially one with long-term or financial implications.
Head down.
17th April 2006 - 23rd April 2006 Uncertainty is not usually a problem for the assured Bull but it seems you are a fact short of a full report. Thus, no matter what the provocation you should avoid reaching a definite conclusion, and making a move that you may regret. Tuesday is the day with the most-est - the most sensational information and the most likely to get you charging at a waving red rag, but with the sun's arrival in your sign on the 20th reason replaces rage, or at least you will be able to see what you are really dealing with. A friend could be the source of surprise, and if a relationship is already on a thin ice, be very careful how you tread.
Count to ten.
24th April 2006 - 30th April 2006 The sun in your sign is angling Saturn so reality is the name of the game. Solid agreements can be made at this time, and discussions lead to concrete results, however, you may not feel exactly joyful. Perhaps all the hard work is getting in the way of that sense of pride and fulfilment, or maybe someone is being a pain: whatever the case, such things are sent to try you and not to be taken to heart. This is also an ideal week to take a look at what is draining your energy and resources and what can usefully be done to unload a burden. Do your best to be practical not negative, and wait patiently for the sun to come out again.
Realities, realities.
1st May 2006 - 7th May 2006 It has taken some time for life to take on such a promising hue, so don't let any recent set-back blind you your opportunities. Ideally, you would have selected this week for a special occasion - indeed, these are the perfect stars for a wedding, marriage proposal or anniversary - but, if not, don't lose a moment in putting together a last-minute event. But speaking of set-backs... If Saturn has indeed put a spanner in the works, you may be surprised at what can be done to rectify matters this week. Good people come out of hiding now and good things come out of previously dark or difficult conditions.
The light at the end of the tunnel.
8th May 2006 - 14th May 2006 You do not appear to have as much control over situations as you would like but rather than waste time and energy attempting to gain a greater grip on your affairs, step back and wait and see what other people do. The ministry of dis-information is once again in charge and you may be surprised at the dizzying way facts and figures change from day to day. The full moon of the 13th ends this short chaotic trend, enabling some Taureans to reach a happy conclusion regarding a romantic matter and others to end an unsatisfactory business or financial arrangement. Indeed, the weekend is the perfect time to celebrate life, love and sheer survival.
Mixed blessings.
15th May 2006 - 21st May 2006 Communications are suffering from a severe outbreak of the Neptunes - in other words, there will be a tendency for information to go walk about and for you to become disoriented, whether in the literal sense of losing your bearings or in the metaphorical way of missing the point. For once, it is more likely to be you who is failing to send the correct messages, so do your best to follow through on your instructions and to make sure that other people have understood where you are coming from. As for romance, with Venus tucked away in the mysterious twelfth house, avoid letting your doubts and insecurities get in the way of a perfectly happy relationship.
Mixed messages.
22nd May 2006 - 28th May 2006 Your instincts regarding a financial matter could prove to be correct, so seize the moment and you won't look back. By contrast, should you have been suppressing feelings of resentment, whether over money or a relationship, they may well erupt in force now, leading to the untimely severance of a contract. Not all endeavours and associations are built to last, and certainly if someone or something is now proving costly or painful you would be better off liberating yourself. Nonetheless, unless you can live without that person or that situation, perhaps a degree of reticence is desirable. Saturday's new moon signals a new source of financial or emotional support.
Increasing your self-worth.
29th May 2006 - 4th June 2006 The week gets off to a great start with the arrival of perfect Venus in your sign: between now and late May represents one of the best periods of 2006 for rekindling an all but moribund love life, and being seen in a beautiful light, whether for professional progress or more personal and familial reasons. Not that the rest of the week is a picture-perfect moment; in fact it may be more like a perfect storm! Finances could bear the brunt of the astrological tempest, and you may face a large and unexpected outgoing or someone could be less than easy to deal with when it comes to talking money or being flexible in their expectations.
Comme ci, comme ca.
5th June 2006 - 11th June 2006 Venus and Jupiter straddle the axis of relationships ensuring, despite any evidence to the contrary, that your love life is in good hands. Partnerships of all kinds thrive in this climate, and the omens are especially good should you be marrying this week or if you meet someone who sets your senses on fire. And whatever the current status-quo don't hesitate to take a brave new step or to use your charm and talents to achieve a major objective. Do I have a reservation about these alignments? Only that with quirky Uranus also in the mix, it seems a situation that has been deteriorating for some months has reached the end of the line.
Love conquers all.
12th June 2006 - 18th June 2006 Venus is a lovely influence to have in your sign - your capacity to give love and find success is doubled - however, Neptune gets in the way of her good works this week so you will need to be a little careful in whom you confide and what you interpret as the truth. While romance flourishes in this climate so too do lies and deceit, thus if you hear a rumour, please ignore it until you have the facts, and if someone hints that an event will shortly happen but he or she is not at liberty to confirm the details, treat the information with a pinch of salt. Mars and Saturn preside over the weekend's events, which means they'll be a lot of hard work but not necessarily unrewarding.
Seeing is believing.
19th June 2006 - 25th June 2006 What may have seemed a serious disappointment last week could now look somewhat better in the light of hindsight, or you may realize that other things can and will take its place. Jupiter's generous presence in the relationship zone is responsible for bringing someone to your rescue and for making you see that genuine bonds can never be broken and real people only let you down when circumstances beyond their control prevent them from fulfilling their promises. This is a week when you can create structures, whether in the literal sense or in the way of agreements and plans: seeds planted now will grow strong and true.
Real progress
26th June 2006 - 2nd July 2006 You seem to have made a great impression on someone: an invitation may now be extended to you or you could receive positive feed-back regarding a move you made recently. Mergers of the business and romantic kind are blessed at this time, so although you cannot assume that everyone has your best interests at heart, you can have confidence in those who back their statements of love and appreciation with actions. Likewise, should you have been waiting to make someone an offer that cannot be refused or considering floating an idea, this is the week to strut your stuff. The power of self-belief cannot be underestimated.
Riding the wave.
3rd July 2006 - 9th July 2006 This is one of those weeks when little goes according to plan, and you'll need more than a Global Positioning System to get your bearings. Objects disappear, people fail to turn up, and your idea about the way to proceed appears to be very different from someone else's. That said, by using your intuition you could resolve a problem, and by tuning into someone's feelings you could find a true friend. Indeed, things of a mystical and romantic nature thrive in this climate so if you have just begun a new relationship you may sense that you have met your soul mate. Nevertheless, before you give your all to someone you do not know well, do your homework.
The rose-coloured specs syndrome.
10th July 2006 - 16th July 2006 Are you enjoying taking a trip into the past? Not only is Mercury retrograding but Pluto is also encouraging you to see that current events have their roots in a distant past. All right, you may not relish the delays and constant questioning of others but time spent in circumnavigation will not be wasted: and what you discover buried in the past could be greatly to your advantage. Monday looks to be the most convoluted day of the coming week so if you are travelling or in negotiations with individuals and organizations prepare to be very patient and do not leave home or the office without all the necessary information and your sense of irony.
The slow boat to China.
17th July 2006 - 23rd July 2006 There's no point in getting impatient with people who will not return your calls or situations that fail to come together - this is a period of the year in which there is a general trend for communication blips and delays of one sort or another. However, this trend does have its uses. You may find that in sifting through a pile of old paperwork you come across some valuable information or that you run into someone you have not seen for years. There is also much to be said for taking your finger off the control button and allowing situations to unravel all by themselves - as they say, if you give someone a long enough rope, he will hang himself...
Patience is a virtue.
24th July 2006 - 30th July 2006 July goes out on a warm and wonderful note. First, a new moon signals a fresh chapter for domestic life, perhaps in the form of a new arrival and, second, a delightful link between loving Venus and generous Jupiter aids the course of true love, in some cases pointing the way to marriage. The weekend is an ideal time to celebrate love and if you have been estranged from someone or feeling a little lonely, it's the moment to put the past behind you and open your heart once more. Even in a minor way, the gestures of good will you make now will yield rich fruits further down the line.
That loving feeling.
31st July 2006 - 6th August 2006 Jupiter is once again at the centre of cosmic events, and since this planet is currently gracing the area of relationships, good things tend to come through other people. In the main August is going to prove a laboured month - you'll have to work hard to achieve your ends and there will be a lack of support from colleagues and loved ones - so you should take the opportunity now to put forward proposals and to line up supporters. (Make hay while the sun shines, so to speak.) Otherwise, this is yet another perfect week in which to marry or nail your colours to any mast you choose.
Rosy Relations
7th August 2006 - 13th August 2006 There is more than one stumbling block in your way this week, so start as you mean to go on and remain flexible and open to alternatives. Saturn always has a lesson in mind, and on this occasion it seems that a situation, probably of a domestic or professional nature, cannot be sustained in its present form - something's got to give. While Wednesday's full moon represents the peak of any problem, it is also the moment that a situation can be turned around. Do not be afraid to end a chapter or to act on your most powerful instincts: tough developments demand a tough response, and at the very least you will prove to yourself and others that you are a powerful contender.
A moment of truth.
14th August 2006 - 20th August 2006 This week represents something of an astrological oasis - gone are the difficulties of early August yet there is still a hurdle or two to surmount before the month ends. Thus, now would be the time to repair a minor tear in a relationship or to make a move intended to compensate for a recent set-back. Regardless of how you truly feel, putting on a confident front and making positive statements could change the downward direction of a current situation, and if someone is prepared to discuss a matter further or has another offer to put on the table, do not be too proud to comply. This is a small window of opportunity - don't miss it.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
21st August 2006 - 27th August 2006 Making a reality of a dream is the subject of your stars this week, whether you decide to go after a much desired goal, regardless of the obstacles that lie ahead, or because events conspire to turn a possibility into an actuality. Thanks to Jupiter's fortunate presence in the zone of relationships, you can have confidence in deals and mergers that are struck now, and you should not underrate the power of certain people to help you resolve a problem or reach an objective. The only factor standing in your way is a faint heart - even an apparent misstep could have welcome consequences.
Do what your heart tells you.
28th August 2006 - 3rd September 2006 When you have major tasks to accomplish and big events to handle, you need one of the tougher planets in your corner - and you have all five at your disposal this week. On the one hand, this could be the moment you have been waiting for in terms of a break-through or reaching a life-pinnacle, yet if something has outlived its shelf-life now is the time it must be jettisoned in order for you to grow and prosper. Ideally, you need to draw your own conclusions, which may mean recognizing that a job is no longer appropriate, and certainly not worth all the hassle, or that an ambition you have held for some while may not be realizable. Trust yourself to make the right decision.
Reaching a crossroads.
4th September 2006 - 10th September 2006 A low profile is advised - it's one of those weeks when all about you people are behaving badly and you will have to be very diplomatically assured to avoid getting caught in the crossfire. The plus factor about these influences is that you can bring to an end a season of uncertainty and embark on a new course, but even in the best of scenarios a degree of upheaval is to be expected. The creative axis of your horoscope is centre stage, and this is a highly propitious time for the beginning of new ventures and for the arrival of new people in your life. And even though you may regret the passing of the old, it won't be long before you see only the advantages of progress.
Closing a chapter.
11th September 2006 - 17th September 2006 You may have sensed something important was in the offing, and, even if life has been meandering gently on its way, this week bears all the hallmarks of being one to remember. Months of preparation could be about to be fulfilled or someone may be ready to give you an answer. Also, if, for some time, you have been debating the wisdom of a venture, events of the week ahead will help you decide, one way or the other. Don't be afraid to make a change to a long-standing arrangement or to be controversial - these stars separate the men from the boys, the bulls from the baloney-merchants.
Standing tall.
18th September 2006 - 24th September 2006 The creative area of your horoscope has received much attention during the past few weeks, and, with a solar eclipse falling across this same axis on the 22nd, a birth of some description is heralded. Now, for some Taureans this theme will be present in your career, so you can expect to be starting a new project, even a different job, before the year is out, yet for others a fresh start applies to someone new entering your life. This is a highly auspicious week, whether events taking place have been a long time in the planning or because there is an out of the blue quality to what happens. Taureans may not like change, but it may prove impossible to resist now.
New beginnings.
25th September 2006 - 1st October 2006 You could face a large financial outlay this week, or a monetary matter could reach a satisfactory conclusion. Indeed, the past few weeks may have put considerable pressure on your bank account. Happily, this trend will be at an end by the weekend and, one way or another, you will have put the worst behind you. And if money has not been the source of some major ups and downs recently, then a relationship may have been a cause for concern. Certainly, this is not the time to head down the river of denial but to bring issues to the surface with a view to resolving your differences and establishing how each of you truly feels.
Getting to the root of the matter.
2nd October 2006 - 8th October 2006 Mars and Neptune join forces to bring hope to a difficult situation and/or to help you come to terms with a recent setback. Work and life-direction get the best of this duo, and you will lose nothing by going over a decision made by an employer or organization and discussing any further options. Alternatively, what may have seemed a worst case scenario a matter of weeks ago could now reveal some distinct advantages. Just how much Saturday's full moon will aid this process of rescue and recovery rather depends - emotions will need to be left out of the equation and the focus firmly placed on practical and expedient solutions.
Real answers.
9th October 2006 - 15th October 2006 After the slings and arrows of the past couple of months you are entering a period of relative calm and progress, particularly where work is concerned. An approach made to an employer this week or a discussion with a colleague could prove advantageous, and you should obey your instincts when it comes to seizing the moment and making a pitch of any description. While the celestial Bull values tradition and prefers strategies that have proved successful before, taking the road less travelled now or opting for a whole new approach is recommended. And even if you cannot see the whole picture at the moment, you have enough to go on.
Taking a chance.
16th October 2006 - 22nd October 2006 Efforts-in equal rewards-out. Put another way, your hard work will bring results and the lengths to which you go to improve your life, whether in regard to your health, your work or your relationships, will pay off handsomely. And should you be considering making an investment in your appearance or adding to your bank of skills, whatever the cost in terms of finance and time, will prove more than worthwhile. Even without your making the effort there could be news of a promotion or a positive development at work, and a situation that has been dragging its feet could begin to gather momentum. Hold your head high; the sun is out.
Giving and receiving.
23rd October 2006 - 29th October 2006 By Tuesday there will be five planets in the area of partnership, so you cannot blame your stars for a lack of activity where your love life is concerned. Not that activity means relationships are going in exactly the direction you would like, or that other people are doing precisely what you want. You may not find the cooperation and support you need this week, although this is not a cause to throw in the towel or head into a negative spiral: much progress can be made by looking at the facts and by being prepared to allow more time for a relationship, or indeed a project, to come together. And since lovely Venus also moves into the relationship zone on the 24th, better things are on their way.
Pause for thought.
30th October 2006 - 5th November 2006 The week ends on a full moon in your sign - the only one this year - and it not only brings to a close a short period in which you have been trying to reach an objective but it marks the end of a year's cycle, first and foremost linked to your personal life and second to relationships. And since already there is a cluster of planets in the zone of relating this might be a perfect moment to say I do or I don't! Certainly, there is plenty of discussion and debate taking place this week, most of it leading to solid results and giving you firm ground upon which to launch new endeavours and make a fresh start all round.
Reaching a consensus.
6th November 2006 - 12th November 2006 As one of the more cautious signs of the zodiac you probably don$t need me to remind you that all may not be quite as it seems. Yes, it$s one of those weeks when muddle-maker, Neptune, is in charge so information requires constant checking and situations need closely monitoring. Monday is the most delicate day of all, and however strong your convictions might be taking a little more time to consider all sides of the matter could make all the difference between a genius move and a serious mistake. Other people may not mean to deceive but somewhere along the line the whole truth has not yet emerged.
Smoke and mirrors.
13th November 2006 - 19th November 2006 Taurus is a realistic sign: you are not given to flights of fancy or prone to making a drama out of a minor upset, however you can remain stubbornly glued to an opinion regardless of how many people attempt to enlighten you otherwise. With this in mind, there could be a serious advantage to looking at a situation from a different perspective and giving someone a hearing before casting a final verdict. On the plus side, a Venus-Jupiter conjunction could prove to you that love does indeed conquer all, yet on the minus side, an equally strong dose of Saturn may produce a moment of truth for a relationship. This is not a time to put pride before the truth.
Truth is beautiful.
20th November 2006 - 26th November 2006 The zone of finance and joint resources gets some new input in the form of Jupiter - a development which will provide cause for celebration in the coming twelve months. Even before the year is out you could be sharing good news with a partner or you may be on the receiving end of a generous gift. And even if finances, along with some other aspects of life, look distinctly bleak at present, you can and should have faith in joint ventures and long-term investments, if not a lot more besides. Uranus is also on this week's planetary guest list so don't expect everything to go according to plan and practice saying: que sera, sera.
What will be, will be.
27th November 2006 - 3rd December 2006 Mixed messages are the subject of our stars. It could be that someone makes a decision then suddenly changes his or her mind, or it may be that a situation has more than one side to it leading to a conflict of emotions. With so many differing influences at work, it might be better to wait until the week is over before arriving at a definite conclusion. One point to remember is that most situations are neither black nor white, and even if someone appears to be dithering or letting you down, were you to be in his or her shoes you might well be doing the same. By contrast, if you're ready for a complete change, go for it.
A crisis of indecision.
4th December 2006 - 10th December 2006 You are about to discover whether your judgement has proved correct. Results of one sort or another are in, and even if they are less than you expected, after closer examination you may see that things have turned out pretty well. This is also a propitious time for making investments and major purchases, so have the courage of your convictions and faith in your good taste. As for your love life... With a passionate Venus-Pluto conjunction presiding over events, a new relationship will take off like a rocket and a long-standing partnership could reach new heights, or depths. Certainly, the week ahead has much to offer in the way of revelations.
A roller-coaster ride.
11th December 2006 - 17th December 2006 Give generously and you won't regret it. And while this might initially strike you as a command to head out into the high street for a shopping extravaganza, the real gains to be made are in forgiving someone or setting aside your needs, wants and expectations for another person. The climate is perfect for settling old scores and coming to understandings that ultimately benefit everyone; it is also an excellent time to conduct a major financial transaction, especially one linked to property. Life is rarely perfect but at least with influences like these you can make the best of a situation, even one that seemed beyond repair.
Sweet deals.
18th December 2006 - 24th December 2006 The closer you are to a situation the less clearly you see it, and this could well be the case at present. The chances are that you are colouring a situation with your opinions and in the process you are making yourself unnecessarily miserable. Whatever the start to the week brings in the way of disclosures or demands, give yourself some breathing space before you respond. You may find that matters are entirely resolvable. Likewise, should you be so involved with someone or something - and happily so - try not to forget that other people may need you too. I guess you could say this week's stars are all about finding balance.
Gaining distance and perspective.
25th December 2006 - 31st December 2006 Even if you're in the bosom of your family, your thoughts may be with people far away. On the one hand, this could be because you are travelling to distant places, or preparing to do so in the near future and, on the other, someone may be missing from the Christmas gathering. On the 27th Mercury heads into the zone of travel and foreign connections, so if you rejected the idea of taking a trip or being in touch with someone you care about, you could reconsider your decision. The year ends on a Neptunian note - perfect for things of the spirit, whether this translates as a magnum of champagne shared with loved ones or a soul to soul moment.
Sentimental journeys.
1st January 2007 - 7th January 2007 The sun's passage through the adventurous ninth house is urging you to look beyond familiar territory for happiness and fulfilment. While some Taureans will respond to the lure of far horizons by boarding a plane to foreign parts others will be making grand plans for the future. The full moon of the 3rd helps you consolidate your thoughts and, if necessary, move away from those things that have proved time-wasting or unsatisfying; however, you may find also that a situation left hanging during the Christmas season can now be sorted. This is an excellent period in which to sign a contract or to make clear your intentions.
New horizons.
15th January 2007 - 21st January 2007 You are being encouraged to go beyond your limits, not in the sense of spending money or physically exhausting yourself but heading into unfamiliar territory and being prepared to give your all to an endeavour. If you are indeed heading off to a holiday destination or making a long-distance trip your stars ensure that your experience will be bigger and better than you expected and should you have been wondering whether to approach someone with a view to getting a job or improving your professional standing, it's time to strut your stuff. Even the course of true love can be speeded and strengthened in this climate.
There is no time like the present.
8th January 2007 - 14th January 2007 Not for the first time are you in danger of being too close to a situation to see it for what it really is. Given some time and distance what currently looks to be a large blot on the landscape could be comparatively easy to cut down to size. Finances may be the hottest item on your agenda, whether you are in the fortunate position of adding to your lot or experiencing something of a shortfall in your bank account. On the other hand, someone near to you could be going through a tough time and taking it out on you. Whatever the week brings in the way of tough moments and big issues, you will only gain by being gracious and accepting.
Gaining perspective.
22nd January 2007 - 28th January 2007 Your long-suffering, practical nature is well suited to this astro-scape; even so you may be justified in thinking that it's always you who is left with the job of sorting out other people's errors. It seems some mix-up has occurred which has led to problems with a professional endeavour or an important plan; there may be ways around the situation but it will take some time to resolve and the wiser decision might be to try another route altogether to your objectives. Friday puts Neptune at the centre of events so be very clear in your intentions and follow up information with the scrutiny of Sherlock Holmes.
Facts not fiction.
29th January 2007 - 4th February 2007 Last week may not have produced the results you were hoping for, and you could be justified in feeling ever so slightly jaundiced with life, but there is a light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel aura to these stars. It may be that recent events were not as bad as you feared and that something positive will come out of them; on the other hand, someone may come up with a fresh idea or opportunity which has distinct advantages. And even if life has been one long love song since the start of the year, you would do well to look at ways in which you can diversify. Indeed, this would be the perfect moment to show someone that you have many strings to your bow...
Different strokes.
5th February 2007 - 11th February 2007 Not for the first time have your perfect plans run into a road-block, so, if nothing else, you've had plenty of practice at stoicism or better still at diversification. With the Saturn-Neptune opposition presiding over everyone's affairs, it's a case of recognising when our dreams have no chance of realization yet also what miracles can occur when the time is right and the work has been done. Ideally, you should take a long hard look at a situation that has been causing aggravation for some while with a view to abandoning it should you be in danger of throwing good money after bad, so to speak. Sometimes you have to be ruthless to avoid becoming a victim.
Getting tough.
12th February 2007 - 18th February 2007 Saturday's new moon at the zenith of your horoscope augers a fresh chapter, first and foremost for your career and role in life. All right, Mercury may be turning retrograde on Wednesday thus slowing down the wheels of commerce and communication but no matter how long it takes for plans to reach fruition or for promises to be kept signs of the new and positive are everywhere to be seen. Also, with or without Mercury's help, journeys for love should bring happiness this week, and you must not be deterred from following your heart or expressing how you truly feel. And this theme of honesty and frankness does not just apply to romance...
A new chapter.
19th February 2007 - 25th February 2007 Not usually given to extremes Tuesday's meeting between Venus and Pluto could find you making an all or nothing move. A financial matter may be the principle reason for any radical actions, in some cases because you have only a small window of opportunity to make an investment or correct an error and in others because of the last straw effect. Romance could be another cause for extreme measures, and although it is normally wiser to avoid acting in the heat of the moment, sometimes you need that kind of intense emotion to do something you should have done many moons ago. Have the courage of the heart and the wisdom of past experience.
No half-way measures.
26th February 2007 - 4th March 2007 Don't be phased if a plan has to be shelved or something appears to be heading south. Saturn is retrograding and until it gets back on track all manner of situations will remain in limbo. Indeed, in a few short weeks those things that are currently in question could be satisfactorily resolved. This week, however, is not the best of times to launch a new endeavour or to approach someone for promotion or assistance. Nonetheless, if there is nothing you can do to delay your move, at least proceed with caution and with the understanding that there could be some problems before success is finally achieved. Not for the first time are you being asked to show stoicism and patience.
No free passes.
5th March 2007 - 11th March 2007 You may not be able to see why a love affair or a project close to your heart is taking a turn for the better but according to your stars you should keep the faith even without solid evidence of success. Ruler, Venus, is currently tucked away in the secretive twelfth house so she is working behind the scenes to speed the course of love and bring her blessing to those endeavours that are full of value. Thursday could bring news you have been awaiting and this is an ideal day to get behind any situations that have been languishing. Indeed, after a few weeks of go-slows and dead stops things are poised for take off.
The tide turns.
12th March 2007 - 18th March 2007 Life continues to offer the celestial Bull many opportunities to add to your bank of happiness and now with Venus entering your sign (17th) your cup could be said to be overflowing. Venus brings beauty and love into your existence, and, over the next four weeks, you may find yourself in the role of mediator, even the bearer of a major peace initiative. The only immediate problem ahead of you comes in the shape of Pluto, and although this powerful planet could produce a windfall of one description or another there is a slight chance that a piece of history is about to repeat itself.
Revealing times.
19th March 2007 - 25th March 2007 Put a ring around the 22nd because on this day you have the ability to make an impact on situations great and small. Mars and Saturn reveal a reality and in the process you will be able to put the finishing touches to an endeavour - and with a sense of pride in your achievement. However, for a few Taureans what occurs late in the week may not seem to be such a triumph but a rather painful truth. Nonetheless, you will have the satisfaction of being able to close the book on a project, having gained much in the sense of experience along the way. You will not be the only one facing an uphill struggle this week - all about you there are people taking a master-class in perseverance.
One step at a time.
26th March 2007 - 1st April 2007 You may be very glad to see the back of March. Certainly this month has given you plenty to think about, and probably in regard to your job or your overall direction. Fortunately you have the benefit of Venus in your sign now producing the occasional lucky break and showing you that you are far from unloved and unappreciated. With this in mind this might be the time to start networking in order to find a more appropriate career niche for yourself or take yourself to places where you can market your assets to good effect. And if you are attending a major event over the weekend, expect some surprises.
A surprise package.
2nd April 2007 - 8th April 2007 Venus is always a pleasure to have in your sign. She adds to your charms and gives you a magic touch when dealing with people and organizations alike. And she may do so again this week. However, poised as she is between the devil and the deep blue sea - that's Saturn and Neptune to you and me - what initially may appear to be straight-forward could have unseen complications. All it will take is a little more time to examine a document or explore all the ramifications of a situation, and everything will be well. What you can and should avoid is assuming all is lost or that everything is in the bag. Time, as they say, will tell.
The devil's in the details
9th April 2007 - 15th April 2007 Do not underestimate the power of the unconscious mind to bring about real life events. At the moment the sun is obscured in the twelfth solar house so your inner world has much to offer in the way of insights and planting seeds of the future. With this in mind, be courageous in your visualizations and explore your dreams for their precognitive content. You may also find that a financial worry can be resolved by unorthodox means or that by baring your soul a deep and profound change can occur in a close relationship. This is not your ordinary kind of week: there are subtle changes taking place, which you may only understand in time to come.
Be careful what you wish for.
16th April 2007 - 22nd April 2007 On the 20th the sun enters your sign releasing you from the purdah of the twelfth house during which time life may have seemed somewhat strange and you might have been less than your energetic self. Over the course of the next couple of weeks a worry will be satisfactorily resolved and you will regain your grip on one or more situations. To add to your blessings, over the weekend Mercury hooks up to Jupiter and Saturn producing a climate in which financial deals can be successfully struck and things of a property and family nature become the source of happiness. It's time to look up at that sun, Taurus, and recognize that it is shining on you!
Happy days.
23rd April 2007 - 29th April 2007 Life moves apace, giving you little time to think through your decisions and form considered opinions. Not that this is a bad thing. Sometimes the longer you think about a situation the less able you are to reach a conclusion; also, operating from your gut instincts has its benefits. With this in mind if someone invites you to do something you have never done before obey your instincts, and if a planned event starts to unravel in an entirely unexpected way, just go with the flow. The new and the different is all about you now, and since you may have been complaining that life never changes you may be about to get what you wished for.
In the blink of an eye...
30th April 2007 - 6th May 2007 After the party comes the reckoning... Last week produced a rare display of planetary fireworks, which may have precipitated an exciting personal development. If so, now the real work begins. By contrast, if a relationship or endeavour came to an abrupt end you can mount quite a come-back. And even if nothing dramatic occurred you may still sense a subtle change has taken place, particularly in regard to a close association. Wednesday's full moon flanks the relationship axis, in some cases setting a casual liaison on a more permanent footing and in others causing you to feel poles apart from a partner or colleague. In either extreme, keep your feet on the ground.
Keep your centre.
7th May 2007 - 13th May 2007 Not the easiest week in your astrological calendar. Circumstances beyond your control could interfere with your plans, and if people can be contrary, they will. Your best modus operandi is to cut down any romantic dreams and focus on the reality. Now, this may mean that someone who fails to shower you with gifts and compliments does, in fact, truly love and admire you; on the other hand, someone who tells you exactly what you want to hear may be a fair-weather friend. And this dichotomy could be present in other areas of life. With this in mind, consider a disappointment to be a blessing and treat a promise only as a possibility.
All is not as it seems.
14th May 2007 - 20th May 2007 This is one fast-moving week. First, a new moon in your sign sets you thinking of ways to reinvent yourself, and, second, a blast of Uranian fresh air sends the ripples gusting across your calm pond of life. Now, this may merely translate as buying a new outfit or trying an unusual dish, but any such innovative gesture is an expression of something much greater happening to the inner-you. Not usually a sign given to kicking over the traces of the past and heading into new territory, events this week could encourage you to see that hanging on to tired old habits and moth-eared situations is narrowing your horizons every which way.
Feeling bullish.
21st May 2007 - 27th May 2007 Finances are the subject of this week's stars. It may be that an employer invites you to discuss your future, with a view to increasing your salary or, perhaps, you start to see the advantages to shifting some or all of your finances to another institution. Whatever turns out to be the money matter of the moment, you have a lot more influence over your affairs than you might think. With this in mind, rather than wait for an invitation to talk money why not initiate discussions? Taking a proactive stance gives you more control of events, so even if finances are not the big deal of the moment other situations, especially a close relationship, will benefit from a brave move.
Taking charge.
28th May 2007 - 3rd June 2007 Usually you are the soul of common sense and cool when it comes to finance but not, perhaps, this week. It could be that you have run out of patience with someone who has not repaid a loan or kept a promise; it may be that information failed to reach you as to the state of an account; but whatever looms large in the finance department of life once the dust has settled you'll see that matters aren't as bad as you first thought. This same trend could be apparent also in a close relationship, leading to little spats or full blown hostilities. Therefore, from the start of the week, put yourself into neutral and make a determined effort to ignore minor crimes and misdemeanours.
Rise above it.
4th June 2007 - 10th June 2007 Giving generously is the theme of the week, which you may choose to reflect by spoiling someone special or making a financial investment for yourself. Much of Jupiter's potential to enrich your life is released now, so financial impulses should be obeyed and you can have faith in offers and purchases made. Do I have a reservation? Only that Jupiter's influence can lead to excesses so you may have to watch a tendency to overspend or to overindulge - and we're not just talking money here! As far as your love life goes Jupiter's your oyster, so to speak, with partners (new or old) ready for a burst of romance and certainly open to offers from you...
Adding to life's riches.
11th June 2007 - 17th June 2007 Rely on your instincts and you won't go wrong. There may not be much evidence to go on but your feelings about a situation are correct, and if someone suddenly pops into your mind or you have a yearning to go to a particular place, do something about it. There are signs that a journey into the past is imminent, whether you reconnect with a long lost friend, return to an old haunt or revisit a situation that you thought was done and dusted: memories are being stirred and the unconscious is prompting you to take specific actions. Friday's new moon begins a fresh cycle for finances so perhaps one of your impulse moves should relate to money.
Obeying your instincts.
18th June 2007 - 24th June 2007 Making a huge investment and draining moneys from your account can never be described as fun but once you know you're doing the right thing such moves become easier. With this in mind, have no qualms about digging deep into your pockets now. Money, of course, may not be the only focus for this week's extreme stars - you could be ready to make a big emotional commitment or preparing for a major personal or professional event - but whatever is making demands on you, know that you have the capacity to rise to the occasion. As always, it is fear that stands in the way of riches of all kinds.
Drop the fear.
25th June 2007 - 1st July 2007 There are no short cuts to achieving your ends this week and from Monday onwards you should expect to be put through hoops. Other people may delay you or you could find yourself wound up in red-tape, so leave nothing until the last minute and make sure you have all your ducks in a row. Armed with this mindset, you will probably find that life is a proverbial breeze! By contrast, it may not be the world out there that poses a problem - you yourself could be beset with doubts about the advisability of planned event. Those doubts could be simply a result of nerves but if they persist, perhaps you should indeed put a hold on a situation until you feel absolutely right about it.
Pause for thought.
2nd July 2007 - 8th July 2007 You are in that invidious position of having your foot pressed down hard on the accelerator and the hand brake on. Mars, currently in your sign is making you more assertive and more determined to achieve your ends but Mercury is on a retreat and sending you back over old ground. However, before steam starts to emerge from your ears, there is purpose in a delay and a reason for a change of plan. Especially where home affairs are concerned it seems there is a flaw in the pipe-works, whether this translates literally as some plumbing problems or the fact that someone close to home is not being as forthcoming as he or she might be...
Patience, please.
9th July 2007 - 15th July 2007 Communications and travel have been on a go-slow for a while but at last the green light has come on. Journeys look to be the source of pleasure and enlightenment, whether we're talking about seeing new places or reaching unexpected conclusions in your own mind. Indeed, this is the ideal moment to set off in new directions and to welcome into your life fresh possibilities. Sometimes Taureans find difficulty in changing their opinions or altering their methods and habits but it's time to experiment in the knowledge that the new and the different will be of great benefit to you. In fact, it may be the only way to go.
A fresh outlook.
16th July 2007 - 22nd July 2007 You may not have the reputation of being the great innovator of the zodiac but you do have your moments. And one of those moments could arrive this week. Mars, the planet of action and desires, hooks up to inventive Uranus, sparking your powers of creativity and taking you into welcome new territory. The stars are especially favourable for things of a collaborative nature, so while some Taureans may be starting a new work-related project others will be joining forces with friends for a pleasurable event. And even if you don't find this one of the better weeks of 2007 your energies, when ploughed into new directions, will lead to happy outcomes.
A change is as good as a rest...
23rd July 2007 - 29th July 2007 Mars has been giving you the determination to reach your objectives and to stand up for yourself when necessary. However, something seems to have got in the way of all that courage. Doubts may have entered your mind and a situation that once seemed straightforward has suddenly become more complex. Ideally you need to stand back at this point, if only for a day or two. Only when you can see quite clearly and only when you feel completely at ease with a situation should you go forward again. An error made some time ago may be at the root of a problem or someone who was in favour of a decision could be having second thoughts.
Pause for thought.
30th July 2007 - 5th August 2007 Mars has been giving you plenty of get-up-and-go in recent weeks but now this planet is urging you to take a step back. It is not quite a case of coming too far too soon but that you may have become somewhat tunnel-visioned about a situation and you need to gain a greater perspective. You may also be suffering from burn-out. With this in mind, do yourself a favour and stop trying to accomplish everything on your wish list; place your health and sanity first, delegate as many chores as you can and put your feet up. Tuesday is the most important day of the week, and what happens in the way of successes or disappointments needs to be viewed in a much larger context.
Take a break.
6th August 2007 - 12th August 2007 On the 7th Mars leaves your sign and turns his attention to finances, and with Jupiter getting back on track in the zone of money and joint resources, it seems any financial worries are on their way to being resolved. And in general, this is the start of a three-month period in which you should be able to add to your security and stabilize your financial position. Family and close relationships will also benefit from the current astro-scape, and while a happy event may happen quite out of the blue should you have been on poor terms with a relative or associate now is the time to pick up the pipe of peace.
Improvements.
13th August 2007 - 19th August 2007 You are meeting one the biggest challenges of the year in terms of planetary angles so do not make the going any harder for yourself by taking certain people to task. By which I mean, if you have a grievance this is not the time to tell someone precisely how you feel. While honesty and integrity are the currency in which you should be dealing, you will have to be very careful how you put across your feelings: people may not perceive what you truly mean and they will not take kindly to a rebuff. By contrast should you receive positive feedback, even some kind of award for your efforts, celebrate your victory but don't let it go to your head!
Tread carefully.
20th August 2007 - 26th August 2007 Saturn's transit of the base of your chart has not always made life easy, especially where domestic matters are concerned, but this planet is about to move on to new ground. Nevertheless, it is not going quietly... Should you have been in denial about a member of the family or refusing to budge over a domestic issue, such things must now be faced and dealt with. By contrast, a celebration could be in order due to a family member's good fortune. Whatever emerges in this week of revelations requires an immediate response so do not be afraid to follow your instincts and take a controversial step.
Memories are made of this.
27th August 2007 - 2nd September 2007 This is a week of changes. Perhaps you are beginning a new work or domestic schedule, or maybe you have events in your diary that will alter your routine, albeit for a short period. But as far as the astrological calendar is concerned, Saturn's entry into your fellow earth sign, Virgo (2nd) is one change you should welcome with open arms. During the next couple of years you will grow in stature, first and foremost because of the extra personal and/or professional responsibilities you will be carrying and second because you will achieve solid results. With this in mind, be flexible and philosophical about any bolts from the blue that happen this week.
About turn.
3rd September 2007 - 9th September 2007 Are you ready for a change of routine? Ready for change, period? Then here it comes, gift-wrapped. Now, before you reach for the smelling salts, what takes place this week may have been in the pipe-line for some time so it is merely the end result of a lot of careful thought. By contrast, other people may have reached a point where they need to do something radical in order to alter a state of affairs they can no longer tolerate, thus, you too might find yourself faced with an unexpected new order. Don't be afraid to express your unique self nor to allow others the freedom to do the same. A little bit of give and take goes a long way in this climate.
Give and take.
10th September 2007 - 16th September 2007 Are you enjoying these fresh September breezes? I hope so, because if you have been taking cover behind a barrier of the old and familiar, this week's solar eclipse will soon root you out. You should be at your most creative at the moment, bringing new endeavours into being and revealing your talents and uniqueness, and in many ways, this eclipse represents a burst of fertility, from which great things will come. However, sometimes we hang on to things that are fundamentally bad for us and this same set of influences could also signal the end of a friendship or an aspect of your life that has served its purpose.
Setting free.
17th September 2007 - 23rd September 2007 You're good at standing your ground but with aspects like these you may do better giving way. Sometimes there is a reason for an obstruction or a delay and no amount of pushing or resisting on your part will alter the situation. Pluto is at the centre of this particular cosmic storm so the reason for any 180Âş shift in your affairs is to be found in the past and the effects will last some time. It may be that you have been trying to avoid making a controversial move but this you can evade no longer: it is time to deal with the situation up front and with courage. And even if this week produces a divinely happy event, it will demand much from you.
Nothing is for nothing.
24th September 2007 - 30th September 2007 It's time for a fitness test. In some cases, the moment has come to put the body beautiful
under scrutiny and see what can be done to improve your health and agility but for others it is
your lifestyle that requires a review. There needs to be a balance between work and play and
between the amount of responsibilities you carry and the quantity borne by those you live and
work with. To this end, this might prove to be a rather emotional week. Fortunately, Mercury,
the planet of discussion and debate, arrives in the zone of relating all set to bring people to
the table with a view to finding common ground and striking up new agreements.
Time to talk.
1st October 2007 - 7th October 2007 A financial or property matter that caused some problems a few weeks ago could now be resolved. The cosmos is free of static,
spreading sweetness and light over your affairs, so if you've been keeping your head down it's time to get moving and
motoring. Someone is ready to talk seriously with you and you will find that offers and invitations are no longer subject to
reversals and delays. Home and family are also under better stars, which in some cases will result in a happy gathering of the
clans and, in others, progress can now be made with decoration, renovation or finding a new home. And if there are any surprises
in store, they'll be good ones.
Breathing easier.
8th October 2007 - 14th October 2007 This is a week of sharp contrasts. There is the prospect of a change of course, perhaps inspired by a sudden realization on your part or an unexpected financial gain or loss, and there is a possibility that what you believed to be a mild flirtation is, in fact, a lot more serious. Certainly, impulses from the heart should be obeyed and don't be surprised if someone else makes a move that appears to come out of nowhere. On the 12th, Mercury, the Great Communicator, goes into reverse gear so besides trying to tie up as many arrangements as possible before then, be prepared to wait for the really important answers to questions posed now.
The weird and the wonderful.
15th October 2007 - 21st October 2007 There's nothing you cannot sort out by talking. You may have a die hard opinion about a certain matter or you may believe that remaining rooted to your position makes you strong but you won't get very far on these principles this week. A softening in your attitude and a preparedness to at least discuss the situation are the courses of action you should follow. As you may well know love and fear are mutually exclusive - you cannot experience both feelings at the same time - and in order to make real progress and to find a solution to a problem you must drop the fear and locate a warm place in your heart for that person or that situation.
Love conquers all.
22nd October 2007 - 28th October 2007 Friday's full moon is the only one this year in your sign so if you glimpse that silver orb in the night sky, remind yourself that you have reached one of the power-points of 2007. Your intuition is super-charged and by following your instincts you can achieve a much-desired objective, and certainly make a lasting impression on someone who matters. If a new alliance is formed this week it will take you in a very different direction, although you should not expect it to last a lifetime; likewise, eruptions in a long-standing relationship, although unsettling, will prove short-lived. Think lightening strikes and flashes of inspiration.
Epiphanies.
29th October 2007 - 4th November 2007 When there is harmony in the cosmos life becomes a whole lot easier so although not every problem will be solved this week you will make progress. In part this is due to Mercury getting back on track but there are also healing and uplifting influences that will speed your course. This is an especially promising week for work and money, and although you may think that facts and straight-talking are the best way to proceed in business and finance you may be surprised how well an intuitive move will work. Women are central to your success at the moment, whether this means a girl friend will prove generous and wise or because a female in a position of power likes you.
Cherchez la femme.
5th November 2007 - 11th November 2007 There are times when you have a free hand in your affairs and times when other people's needs must be addressed and this looks to be one of those times. Someone could come to you with an offer or a suggestion and rather than reject it out of hand because it might involve a change you should give it consideration. At the very least, you need to listen to others now and really examine what they're trying to tell you. On the other hand, the cosmos could be signalling the arrival of someone new in your life who will have all the requirements for a good business partnership or a rather more romantic union. It's good to talk.
Be open to offers.
12th November 2007 - 18th November 2007 At best, Sun-Neptune aspects bring a spiritual dimension to our lives; they take us from the small-me to the big-me - something you may like to consider in light of someone's actions this week or the way events pan out. For some Taureans it is time to show compassion and understanding, especially to a partner or close associate; for others the moment has come to recognize that you have been deceived or let down, and in general this is a period of the year in which fact must be separated from fiction. While paranoia is not to be encouraged, be sure to check people's credentials and do not gloss over all-important details.
Being smart.
19th November 2007 - 25th November 2007 Money swings into the foreground and it seems a reckoning is due, if only to check your accounts to see how much you need for the Christmas extravaganza to come. On the other hand, contracts could be about to be exchanged or a simmering financial issue may reach boiling point. The theme of the week is settlement, so rather than draw out negotiations or assume your best option is to wait for a better deal further down the line, signatures should be put on paper. You may also find that a loving message produces a welcome result and that success generally rests on spontaneous gestures and heartfelt statements.
Seizing the moment.
26th November 2007 - 2nd December 2007 This is not the best of weeks for speculating, especially in the financial sense. Ignore the glowing estimates and focus on the worst-case-scenario. Now, this is not intended to dampen your enthusiasm so much as urge you to protect your assets and avoid being taken in by other people's over-confident forecasts. Jupiter still has a month to go in the zone of financial resources and it may behove you to wait until the second week in December before you put your money where your mouth is. Saturn is holding sway at the moment so on the one hand, there is an emphasis on facts versus fiction, and it may also explain why other people are somewhat difficult to live with.
Caution is needed.
3rd December 2007 - 9th December 2007 If a financial anomaly arises you may be tempted to deal with it instantly but it could be better to leave it on one side while you explore some alternative options. Likewise, if someone makes a surprise move or suddenly decides to take an independent line, give the matter a little time before you make your response. There are conflicting influences in play at the moment and tried and tested ways of handling similar situations simply won't work. In your favour, however, is the arrival of Venus in the area of relating - from this point until early January love will find you, and it will certainly find a way around an apparent impasse.
Wait and see.
10th December 2007 - 16th December 2007 Just when you thought everything was neatly in place along comes an astro-scape like this and changes it all. Not that you won't
be pleased with the results. Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions produce a great surge of energy wherever it is most needed, and this could
mean finances in your case. Ideally, you would be making a big investment now or experiencing a windfall but there is a chance that a
large demand could be made on you instead. If this is indeed the case, do not panic, because not only will you find a way to deal with
the situation but it will have positive repercussions. And if it's not money that is at the heart of this week's events, it will
be an affair of the heart.
Black or white.
17th December 2007 - 23rd December 2007 There are no accidents at present: what is happening is deep, meaningful and potentially life-changing. Some Taureans could be on the threshold of marriage and some could be about to fall in love but for all this is a time of high hopes and determined actions. Aside from a small chance of a financial blip the rest of your stars are encouraging you to look to your future, and the more prepared you are to take a big, brave step the better. You are the type who likes to have guarantees in life but even you could be swept away by the sheer force of events - or, more specifically, the intensity of your feelings - and it is a good thing.
Going out on a limb.
24th December 2007 - 30th December 2007 Travel could have its share of little problems on the 24th so take your patience pills and make sure your cell phone is charged. Likewise, emotions may become somewhat strained, if only because other people have left things until the last minute. Happily, once you reach your destination, once midnight has chimed, you can expect one of the best Christmases for many years. Indeed, discussions over the turkey may lead to a plan that will make you very pleased. The prospect of adventure and distant places is also in your horoscope, something you may feel in your heart as New Year's Eve approaches.
Going a long way.
31st December 2007 - 6th January 2008 You've got money on your mind, but possibly not in your pocket. Either you're ready to spend lavishly in the sales or you've got a serious economy drive on your hands. A Mars-Pluto opposition on the financial axis of your horoscope brings money-matters to a head, creating a climate in which there can be great gains and disappointing losses. You probably don't need me to tell you to be careful but you might need my encouragement to do whatever it takes to back a venture that you believe in with your whole heart. And, of course, a financial matter may not be the issue here but something of a more personal and romantic nature.
All or nothing.
7th January 2008 - 13th January 2008 If you're not back in the routine rut you could be looking at a trip to a far-off location. A new moon in the globe-trotting ninth house signals a journey in the next two to four weeks that will lead to exciting possibilities. Then, of course, there are journeys of the metaphorical kind, implying that events will change your perception of someone or something. Embracing change is not always Taurus's thing but the start to this year is all about enlarging the scope of your life, which necessitates some risk and, of course, change. Whatever comes at you out of the blue may rock your boat but once you regain your balance you'll see your world has opened up.
A changing landscape.
14th January 2008 - 20th January 2008 Mars and Venus are a happy couple even when they're in opposition - those spikes and
sparks will soon be softened by a kiss-and-make-up session - so if you find
yourself at war with a partner this week, don't feel all is lost. Indeed, this advice
applies to any situation that suddenly flares up - once the dust has settled, there will be
a way forward. And should finances be the issue du jour don't try to sort it out in a
panic: solutions will come once the mind is at rest. By contrast, if an opportunity arises
to make a sound investment or you come across an irresistible bargain, seize the moment - it
may never come again.
All's fair in love and war.
21st January 2008 - 27th January 2008 All full moons end a chapter, the difference being that some chapters are short and relatively insignificant while others are long and hugely
important. It seems the April birthdays are front of the queue when it comes to leaving behind a significant part of their lives but whenever
you were born this latter period of January encourages you to sift the wheat from the chaff in the sense of recognizing which of your interests
is deserving of your continued focus and which aren't. To this end, there is also an aura of sacrifice about your decisions. Giving up and
walking away is not the action of a weak person but one who is evolved enough to see when enough is enough.
Knowing when and why.
28th January 2008 - 3rd February 2008 It might be difficult to interpret the signals you are receiving: on the one hand, there are signs of success and, on the other, a
potential problem with an endeavour could be looming, largely because of an earlier mistake or a misunderstanding. You can counteract this
trend by being as clear as possible with your statements and instructions, and continuing to check that information has been correctly
received by others. Venus, the planet of love and harmony, is well placed for you at the moment so you can trust the words of someone you
love and you should have faith in the future of a romance. It's really just a case of keeping your eye on the ball.
Focus, focus...
4th February 2008 - 10th February 2008 You may not be able to see Thursday's solar eclipse but it is taking place in one of the most important zones of the horoscope - life direction. Especially if you have a 9th - 12th May birthday one of your dreams is about to be realized or shattered but even in the case of the latter what will follow in the wake of any disappointment will be much more appropriate for you. In the main this astro-scape focuses on your career and material concerns however eclipses invariably thrust relationships into the frame too so you may well discover whether you have a genuine love on your hands or a fantasy that can never be made real.
Finding out.
11th February 2008 - 17th February 2008 The spin-doctors are out in numbers this week so do your best to separate fact from fiction whether you're dealing with a child or a captain of industry! A combination of astrological factors is making the going very confusing and if facts can go missing they will. On the other hand, if the real world is of no interest to you whatsoever you're going to enjoy your trip on the love boat to fantasy island. From the 17th Venus will be in high focus putting love on top of the agenda and if romance is still far from your mind she will bring you instead to the attention of people who can promote you and your talents.
Love in a mist.
18th February 2008 - 24th February 2008 Whatever doubts have been raised recently are put to rest by Saturn this week. This planet is not the joker in the pack but judge and jury.
You'll know whether you have a deal or not, and you'll know where you stand in someone's affections. Not only Saturn but also a lunar
eclipse on the creative axis of your chart means a gestation period is at an end and something is ready to be brought into being. Aside from news
of the birth of a baby, a business enterprise could be launched shortly or a romance could blossom into a full blown commitment. Nonetheless,
these influences are far from light and fluffy so don't be surprised if you feel a little blue.
A delivery of sorts.
25th February 2008 - 2nd March 2008 A delightful conjunction between Mercury and Venus in the zone of ambitions and life-direction makes this the perfect week to talk to people
who have a say in your future. Indeed, you may find that an organization or individual approaches you with an offer. Much of February has been
about clearing away the residue of the past and preparing the ground for the new so although you may not relish the thought of packing up and
moving on or accepting that things can and must change you are in a great position to do just those things now. In a year's time what is so
different now will be completely old hat.
Sweet talk.
10th March 2008 - 16th March 2008 Knowing where you stand is vital for the celestial Bull and, thanks to Saturn, a matter gets settled this week. Plans laid down some time ago are ready to be activated and, especially
where affairs of the heart are concerned, a romantic dream can turn into reality. So far, so good. The only problem with these stars is that some other matter becoming a reality may
not be quite as delightful an experience. Perhaps, your hopes have hit a rut in the road but the chances are they were deeply flawed in the first place. Of course, you can try to fix a
broken situation but you might do better ploughing your energies into those things that and those people who already recognize your value.
Knowing what's what.
3rd March 2008 - 9th March 2008 The March winds reach gale force this week, and we're not talking weather here... Taureans are
renowned for their calm natures and rational minds but even you could blow a fuse at this time. In an
ideal world you would be getting rid of clutter that has accumulated over the months and years and
making room for new items but while this may imply the discarding of material objects it is more likely
to manifest as some kind of life edit, which could include a personal or professional relationship. If
you can get behind your own process of elimination, do so, but if events do the job for you remain
philosophical and optimistic. It is a good thing.
Making way.
17th March 2008 - 23rd March 2008 It's not like you to back off from a challenge but Saturn is making you more cautious
and draining your stores of optimism. Thus, it may be no bad thing to give yourself a little
more time to gather your strength and examine a situation from all angles. Other people will
not be as calm and collected as they might be and small issues will assume grand
proportions. Work is the most likely setting for any controversy but anything that comes out
of left field now has almost certainly been in the pipe line for a while. If you can put
matters on ice for a few more weeks, do so, but, if not, simply sleep on it - an answer
will be there in the morning.
Backing off.
24th March 2008 - 30th March 2008
There is a big trend this year for overseas travel so should you not yet have taken off to distant parts this week's
far-ranging influences could do the job. An unexpected message from someone could be the reason for a journey or a
social occasion could inspire a new endeavour that will involve friends and/or travel. Certainly, there is a surprising
twist to events this week, which however inconvenient or controversial will turn out to be very welcome in the long run.
Also, should someone take a step that causes you see him or her in a very different light, don't feel that you have to
bring an end to the association just yet.
New perspectives.
31st March 2008 - 6th April 2008 You may have been a little reclusive recently or, perhaps, you have been preoccupied with a specific
situation such that other people have found you hard to reach. (That's the job of a twelfth house
transit, to pull you into the inner world of thoughts and feelings, a place of subtlety and shadows.)
This week, however, you emerge from hiding and experience something of an epiphany: this may come about
as a result of your own analysis and research or events could do the job for you. Secrets may well be
exposed now and feelings that have been kept under wraps are revealed; and once this has happened there
can be no going back.
Out in the open.
7th April 2008 - 13th April 2008 You have far to go this year, both in terms of travel and life-progress and this is one of those
weeks when you come to understand why. Jupiter and Pluto boost your hopes and encourage you to think big,
whether for personal or professional reasons. And there could be news from people in distant places that
makes you realize the boundaries of your world are gradually expanding. However, if you feel anything but
buoyed up by current developments be patient: planets tucked away in the reclusive twelfth house could
have the effect of making you unnecessarily self-critical and full of doubt. By the end of next week
this trend will be on its way out.
Expanding horizons.
14th April 2008 - 20th April 2008 Both Mercury and the sun enter your sign flooding your life with light and energy. And even if you still feel under pressure and undervalued a trying patch is at an end. Sunday's full moon highlights the relationship axis so a year-long cycle is at an end and a new one poised to begin. This would be the right moment to make a decision about an intimate or working relationship - a time to form the ties that bind or to cut them. Emotions will be running at an all time high over the weekend so feel free to express your loving sentiments but hold back on the insults or ultimatums! Things will look different as next week gets under way.
Full circle.
21st April 2008 - 27th April 2008 The stars continue to smile on you so don't be afraid to take a leap of faith or to go in an
unfamiliar yet deeply attractive direction. A plan that has been on the drawing board for a while can be
activated and whatever has been in a state of limbo should begin to see signs of life. But it is romance
that holds the greatest promise for some Taureans. It may be that you are sensing a connection between
you and another person yet neither of you has declared your feelings, however, this may change this week,
and you will have proof positive that this romance has legs, so to speak. And, in general, pouring love
into life will produce beautiful results.
That loving feeling.
28th April 2008 - 4th May 2008 Gorgeous Venus arrives in your sign and immediately gets to work on your image. Now, this may translate
as a trip to the hairdressers or a visit to the fashion mall but if you have been looking to increase
your chances of success in a professional or romantic sense, you should see some real results in the next
couple of weeks. This week is a premium period for making long-term plans, especially if they involve
people and places at a distance; it is also a great time for establishing the ground rules in a
relationship or creative project. And if by any chance you feel discouraged at your lack of progress,
keep your chin up and await developments with confidence.
Signs of positive change.
5th May 2008 - 11th May 2008 For the past two weeks your horoscope has been in pretty good shape and it looks set to get even better now. A new
moon in your sign applying to beneficent Jupiter bodes well for anything coming into being during the next fourteen
days. So, should you have been waiting for an auspicious moment to make a business or romantic proposal - or,
indeed, get an idea of any description off the ground - don't waste another moment. Mars heads to the base
of your chart on the 9th all set to get things buzzing on the home and family front, however, don't be
surprised if a relative or a superior begins to lock horns with you - it's a mini power-struggle,
that's all.
Let the good times roll.
12th May 2008 - 18th May 2008 How lovely is this? Venus, already gracing your sign, angles successful Jupiter, boosting your hopes and
ensuring that somebody, somewhere, truly loves you. Taking a chance on love - indeed taking a risk of any sort
- is not normally a Taurus 'thing' but under these stars you can afford to go after your heart's
desire, whether it is someone with whom you are in love or an ambition you have nurtured for many years. And, in
general, this is a delightful week, whether you're simply going about your usual business or trying to climb a
proverbial mountain. The past may have much to teach you but it's nothing compared to your future.
Love makes the world go round.
19th May 2008 - 25th May 2008 A full moon on the relationship axis encourages you to make a commitment or end one. And in some cases a working or intimate partnership will have to be terminated in order for a new alliance to begin. However, this is not the jolliest astro-scape of the month so even though you may be delighted with the conclusions reached this week the celebrations may be somewhat muted. As far as romance is concerned, Tuesday's Venus-Neptune link will either take you to the proverbial stars or you will begin to have doubts about someone's veracity. Either way, it may behove you to keep your options open for a few more weeks.
Mixed signals.
26th May 2008 - 1st June 2008 Setbacks are stepping stones. But, of course, the celestial Bull has always known that. Nonetheless, after a period in which your star was high in the firmament a refusal or an unexpected impasse could set even you back momentarily. Mercury's retrograde turn always slows down the wheels of commerce and communication but with Neptune doing the same any emerging problems will seem even more mysterious and complicated. There is an upside to these astrological turns of events but you may not be able to see them until the latter part of June. Thus, for now, take a step back yourself and wait until clarity can be gained.
A pit stop.
2nd June 2008 - 8th June 2008 Money may have been a sore subject recently but there are signs of financial improvements. An offer
from a bank or lending institution could be forthcoming or a payment you have been waiting for will
arrive, and, in general, you can do yourself many favours by opening up a dialogue with people central
to your financial health. Then again, it may not be your bank account that is the beneficiary of these
helpful aspects but your self-esteem. Someone could be making you feel wonderful and you won't
have to look very far to see how much you are valued. Enjoy the rise in your stock.
An ego-boost.
9th June 2008 - 15th June 2008 Your future plans should receive a boost and this is an excellent week to promote your talents and to
have meetings with people who can help you achieve your goals. You may have confirmation of a job or
your finances could receive a boost. Nonetheless, there are other, more unstable, influences to cope
with so expect to be thrown a curved ball, probably by someone to whom you are close or a company with
whom you have a work or financial relationship. Sound confusing? Uranus is the wild card among the
planets so although the barometer of life is set to fair and sunny, there could be some sudden, squally
showers.
Taking precautions.
16th June 2008 - 22nd June 2008 After a period of hold-ups and hassles life is beginning to straighten out. However, before it
does, it seems a realization must be made. Now, this could be simply a process taking place in your own
mind but it is more likely to manifest as a decision involving you and another person. Finances may be
part of the picture too. You should feel a certain sense of rightness about the actions you are taking
now, even if they come out of a set of circumstances you would not have chosen. It is the right time to
reach an ending, the right time to put the past behind you and the right time to make a new beginning.
Closure.
23rd June 2008 - 29th June 2008 You may have experienced delays with a project recently or someone may have been difficult to reach
but re-connection can occur now. You may find also that what did not make sense a little while ago
suddenly falls into place. The sun and Saturn are in harmony, helping to bring reality to bear and
encouraging people to make good their promises. This week marks the beginning of a period in which you
may travel some distance, although the more important translation of these aspects would be that you
are ready to make a journey in understandings and agreements. It's time to start stretching your
boundaries.
Back on track.
30th June 2008 - 6th July 2008 You have far to go in 2008 and this is one week in which you may take your biggest step. Aside from the prospect of travel and making connections with people who will bring colour and texture to your life canvas, you could reach a decision that will have far-reaching consequences. You may not be the zodiac's greatest explorer but it is time to recognize where playing it safe is preventing you from fulfilling your dreams. A risk will be worth while - as long as it does not involve life and limb - and an opportunity seized will give you years, if not a lifetime, of happiness. As the saying goes, God helps those who help themselves...
A giant step.
7th July 2008 - 13th July 2008 Your innate caution is your friend now. You may have felt already that a situation was headed in the wrong direction or that you weren't up to the job, so to speak. Therefore should you want to bring a halt to an endeavour or an association - albeit for a short time and only in order to gain your bearings - do so. By contrast, you could receive a solid proposal or a plan could gain the backing of an organization or individual you have been courting. There is both opportunity and withdrawal symbolized in these stars and although you may experience both in regard to one issue it is more likely that while one situation receives a green light another gets a red.
Pause for thought.
14th July 2008 - 20th July 2008 Travel may not always be your favourite activity but, one way or another, expanding horizons are the theme of the week. A journey may prove long and arduous but once you reach your destination you will find much to please and delight you, and should you be welcoming people from afar into your home they will provide hours of entertainment! Then there are journeys of the heart and mind, which many Taureans will make now. It is the right time to bring to an end a long-standing feud or to recognize that there is no more mileage in a situation. Thus, release and reparation are also part of the astrological story.
Getting there.
20th July 2008 - 27th July 2008 This would be the perfect moment to set off on vacation or to make plans for a trip in the future. Travel and widening horizons are the theme of the week so even though you are one of the zodiac's more reluctant explorers your adventurous spirit is being stirred. Of course, this theme may translate as the ability to rise above a situation and to make a magnanimous gesture – something to bear in mind should you have run into a personal or professional rut in the road recently. This week also marks the beginning of a four-week season of important family developments; indeed you may receive some surprise news that sets in motion a very happy chain of events.
Going places.
28th July 2008 - 3rd August 2008 You probably won't be able to see Friday's total solar eclipse but it is taking place at the base of your horoscope and is therefore a sign of new beginnings – not just any new beginning but a development that may happen suddenly and in unusual circumstances. To make matters a little more complex, you may have to wait a few more weeks before you see the fulfilment of this forecast. However, what you can do in the meantime is make sure that the family is on the same page about plans for the future and that you have a degree of flexibility built into those plans. You are on the edge of an exciting but somewhat destabilising month.
Shaken and stirred.
4th August 2008 - 10th August 2008 Your no-nonsense, practical self will be put severely to the test this week. Either other people are not being straight with you or you're failing to see the real picture but before you turn thought into action please request a second opinion. Events may turn out very differently from expectations and last moment changes could be necessary. But whatever the inconveniences and the eye-openers rather than focus on what might have been pour your energies into alternative options. And there will be alternatives. It's always preferable to have control of the ball but if you think back you'll see that many of the best things in your life came about in unforeseen ways.
Stranger than fiction.
11th August 2008 - 17th August 2008 You seem to be between the devil and the deep blue sea. Your hopes and affections are pulling you in one direction and responsibilities and irksome realities pulling you in another. And while it would be better for you to wait before making a decision, the luxury of time may not be available. What may help, however, is knowing that pursuing a path that does not have your heart will ultimately bring you no happiness; plus, with your feelings fully engaged and your commitment behind a course of action you may achieve everything you want a little further down the line. Even if this week contains an event of great joy, a struggle is part of the equation.
Doing the right thing.
18th August 2008 - 24th August 2008 How are you finding August so far? A bit of a roller-coaster ride? Certainly, the week ahead contains many thrills and spills, which will either delight you or disrupt your schedule. Surprise arrivals and announcements could be on the agenda and even if you think you know a certain person well you may be amazed at his or her actions. Ideally, you should be bringing new endeavours into being or allowing your wild-child within to come out so if you have plans set solidly in stone and very little wiggle room now might be the time to loosen up. And should a love-affair be sparked at this time it will totally change your life, and certainly your outlook.
Courting controversy.
25th August 2008 - 31st August 2008 It will be an effort bringing things into being but it will be worth it. For some Taureans
after months of hard labour you are ready to deliver: now, this may turn out to be a real
baby or a project that you have been incubating but either way a result is imminent. For
other Taureans it is more a case of having waited for a situation to shift and almost given
up suddenly there is a break-through. These influences are not lightweight; then again,
anything worth having requires a struggle both in the sense of your overcoming your own
fears and inadequacies and triumphing over obstacles produced by circumstances and other
people.
Delivery or deliverance.
1st September 2008 - 7th September 2008 This is the second week in a row when it seems much is demanded of you when it comes to bringing things into being. However, there is joy and abundance in the picture too. The celestial Bull is a patient creature, and one capable of working solidly towards a specific goal, so it may be just a case of getting over a few more hurdles and the home run is in sight. Should you be beginning a new endeavour or taking on another major responsibility the signs are that it will bring you success and happiness and even a loss rather than a gain could be the springboard to something bettter a little further down the line.
Patience is rewarded.
8th September 2008 - 14th September 2008 The pace of the week is fast and furious so from the outset be prepared for out of the blue messages and last minute changes to your schedule. This would be an excellent time to start a new diet and exercise programme or to consult a professional about a health concern; what it is not a good moment for is allowing your frustration to get the better with you, especially at work or with someone whom you must treat as a team-mate. And although you are one of the builders and planners of the zodiac you may need to remind yourself that it's not what happens in the short term that counts but the long term.
Patience is a virtue...
15th September 2008 - 21st September 2008 A gestation period is at an end. An endeavour could have been in production for some months and the time has come to launch it out on the world; a romance which has been developing since the summer may be ready to morph into a full-blown commitment or after a chapter of difficulties you could be ready call a halt to a project or association. Whatever the precise scenario this is an appropriate moment to consider whether efforts expended in a specific direction are worth continuing. In most cases the answer will be yes because your heart is fully engaged but if the obstacles are overwhelming don't waste any more time crying over spilt milk.
A point of assessment.
22nd September 2008 - 28th September 2008 Normally, you wouldn't want to mix emotion with business but empathy
can be a powerful tool when it comes to being on the same page with an
employer or someone you wish to impress. So, if you have an important
meeting coming up or you need to make progress on a material matter do
your utmost to mirror and match the other party. The early part of the
week is the optimum time to get ahead and at least prepare the ground
for success in the future - from the 24th Mercury will be on a
go-slow, which means all manner of issues will be on the back
burner. And if you've any energy left over, the weekend is perfect
for making sweet music.
Making music.
29th September 2008 - 5th October 2008 Try not to be fazed by new systems, whether these come in the form of technology, people or routines. The next three weeks represent a learning curve, which will help you adapt to the new and the different in whatever form they come. Should there have been rumours doing the rounds at work, these could gather force now, although with Mercury in retrograde there are bound to be some inaccuracies. With all of this in mind, remain serene in the knowledge that there is nothing you cannot handle with practice and common sense, and certainly nothing you should do at this point to interfere with a situation that is still in the process of developing.
Being adaptable.
6th October 2008 - 12th October 2008 It will be easy to lose your heart to someone under these stars. And why not. The heart is the most vital organ in your body and it often knows a lot more than your mind! So, if something feels right, just go along with it. Aside from this being a magical week for a love affair or for falling in love, there could be positive developments at work. All year Jupiter has been trying to get you to broaden your life palette and to venture away from home turf, so if you haven't yet stepped out of your comfort zone and stretched your knowledge and skills, do so now. Opportunities are there for the taking and a risk will prove worthwhile.
Going with the flow.
13th October 2008 - 19th October 2008 You have your two feet firmly on the ground most of the time, which is why you are largely successful in your endeavours and sure of your direction. Most of the time... But just occasionally a planet like Neptune casts a spell on you and you start to have unrealistic expectations or unfounded fears. And this week is a case in point. Rumours may have been doing the rounds at work with the result that you cannot be sure where you stand; on the other hand, someone may be affecting your emotions and clouding your reason. While it is wonderful to lose sight of the real world when you're in love, losing the plot and putting finances and your future at risk is not.
Separating fact from fiction.
20th October 2008 - 26th October 2008 There is every benefit in feeling positive at present and letting other people see that confidence. All right, there may be doubts and concerns about an endeavour but putting on a bright smile will make an enormous difference to your outlook and it will have a knock-on effect on the situation itself. This trend is particularly evident at work, so rather than buy into all the rumours currently circulating, focus on the positive and be open to opportunities to expand your talents and influence. Your love life will also benefit from a show of enthusiasm and affection - indeed, this may be just the moment to pop the question.
A show of strength.
27th October 2008 - 2nd November 2008 Fresh developments in a relationship set you on a new and positive track. On the one hand, an offer of work or an invitation
to combine your talents with a colleague could be forthcoming and, on the other, changes in a partner's situation could
affect the future of your relationship. Certainly, Tuesday's new moon in the zone of love and partnership is a sign of
better things to come so the renewal of your membership of the lonely hearts club may not be necessary... You have the wind
in your sails at present but with a force 10 gale set to blow in next week make the most of your opportunities while
they're right in front of you.
Coupling.
3rd November 2008 - 9th November 2008 I don't want to raise your paranoia levels but not everything is quite as it seems this week and some people simply cannot be trusted. Neptune is a tricky customer when allied to Mars: yes, it can bring you love of the divine kind and you could be on the receiving end of a compassionate and healing act, yet it is also deception in a bottle. This is an especially complex time for finances and you should question information reaching you, even from the most reliable of sources. Err on the side of caution in all your dealings and, if someone or something falls by the wayside now, assume the cosmos has done you a great big favour.
Muddy waters.
10th November 2008 - 16th November 2008 Thursday's full moon is in your sign. Normally this would mark a period of empowerment, however, Neptune is also in the
mix which could interfere with your judgement and inflate fears and hopes. Do you trust certain individuals? Can you
believe information reaching you? Ideally, you should wait a little longer before nailing your colours to the mast but
if you are being pressurized to make a decision, bear in mind that difficulties are being exaggerated, as, indeed, are high
hopes. Good things can come out of such alignments so don't look a gift horse in the mouth, so to speak, but in the main
you need to keep those two sturdy feet on the ground.
Truth or fiction?
17th November 2008 - 23rd November 2008 What may initially strike you as an anomaly could be a gift from the gods. Thus, don't reject someone's offer or statement without looking into it more closely. Sometimes other people see more clearly than you and just because an idea is foreign doesn't mean it cannot work. Also, if you have been using practical tools to achieve an objective you might find that a more emotional approach works better. With Jupiter and Saturn aiding your course you can go a long way this week, whether in terms of miles or success. And, perhaps, you can get off to a great start on Monday by opening your mind to alternatives.
Reading between the lines.
24th November 2008 - 30th November 2008 It's about time you had some better financial news. A new moon in the zone of money and investments not only signals a
fresh year-long cycle for fiscal matters but could produce a windfall or an opportunity to free up finances. Certainly,
this is the ideal week in which to talk money and make moves intended to ensure your long-term prosperity. This could
also be a positive period for a close relationship: strong emotional bonds can be formed now and if there have been
disagreements or uncertainties - perhaps involving money - these can be resolved. All in all, Taurus, things are
looking better than they have done for a while.
Improvements.
1st December 2008 - 7th December 2008 How far will you go for love? And what must be done to assure your growth and security? Normally a conservative creature your instincts will probably inform you to keep within familiar tramlines but we are living in extraordinary times and, whether for love or money, breaking with convention is going to be the better option. The universe rewards courage and with Venus and Jupiter in conjunction, following the dictates of your heart is going to be a beautiful thing. Perhaps you are taking a trip with or to someone you love; on the other hand, making a journey in terms of understanding and decisions could be rather more to the point.
A journey of a thousand miles...
8th December 2008 - 14th December 2008 When the planets throw a party, they do so in style, only this gathering is not so much full of good cheer as packed with controversy. Maybe it has taken until now for you to know what must be done, especially regarding a financial or emotional situation, in which case you will feel liberated by your actions. On the other hand, events may dictate where you go from here, which could leave you feeling somewhat anxious. You've been in tougher spots before, Taurus, but rather than dip into your pool of experience, opt for brand new strategies. These aspects separate the goats from the sheep and the bulls from the bears.
Jumping in the deep end.
15th December 2008 - 21st December 2008 Remember that it's the thought that counts... Finances could be particularly hard hit by this week's trying configurations so do yourself a favour and keep within your budget. Likewise, do not offer to do more than you can in the way of help and kindness. There is a powerful aura of reality hovering over your affairs this week, which may prove welcome in that you know where you stand with a financial matter and/or a relationship. However, this is not perhaps the atmosphere you would have chosen to accompany any pre-Christmas festivities. It is what it is, Taurus, and since you are essentially a realist it may fall to you to jolly everyone else along.
Feet on the ground.
22nd December 2008 - 28th December 2008 You already know the travel and communication highway is going to be congested so start as you mean to go on and accept any detours and unseasonal behaviour with stoicism, even good cheer. And even if you're not trying to make the big Christmas get-away or opening up your home to relatives and friends, moving from A to B will be time-consuming and problematic. Saturday's new moon points to a fresh start in the New Year, probably inspired by a journey or a holiday. However, for some Taureans, a decision made between now and late January will alter your long-term horizons in a major way.
Going the distance.
29th December 2008 - 4th January 2009 Even though the wine may be flowing and the balloons soaring, you could have your work cut out trying to enjoy yourself. In part this may have to do with an unresolved issue. Thus, rather than put the matter in question on one side, bring it to the fore and take action. This may involve digging into the past or contacting someone you haven't spoken to for a while but the whole process will ease your concern, leaving you free to see in the new year in good cheer. As soon as the sun sets on Sunday, you will be on the threshold of a very different year ahead, one in which your world will open up...
Getting it done.
5th January 2009 - 11th January 2009 You should be looking far into the distance, first and foremost because it is time to draw up ambitious plans for the future, and second, because you could be about to do some travelling. Hopefully, you will make your journeys before Mercury turns retrograde (11th) but if you are setting sail on Sunday, please pack your patience pills. On the 5th, fabulous Jupiter arrives at the zenith of your solar chart where, for the whole year, it will encourage you to think big and to expect the best, especially when it comes to your talents and skills. And the sooner you start to put the power of positive-thinking into practice, the better.
Setting your sights high.
12th January 2009 - 18th January 2009 Even though Mercury, the planet of communication, is on a retreat this is a premium period for getting away from it all, provided you don't expect to reach your destination in a hurry. Likewise, if you're drawing up plans and negotiating with organizations or individuals, discussions may be protracted but they will lead to positive outcomes. There is plenty of good will to go around and people will be encouraged by your enthusiasm and conviction so don't assume a current lack of commitment is a permanent state of affairs. A proposition made in December is worth revisiting, as is someone who you knew many moons ago.
Getting there.
19th January 2009 - 25th January 2009 Sun-Jupiter conjunctions breed success, and even if you're not in the winners' circle right now, you can expect a result of some description, which will lead to victory in the future. The area of career and life-goals is in the pink, so if you're currently job-hunting, seeking promotion or simply trying to get ahead you have the wind in your sails. It's time to make your pitch and to believe in yourself and your right to good fortune. Not that all the planets are in such a good space... Elsewhere there is a lesson to be learned, very possibly about whom you can trust and reply upon and who is not as loyal and supportive as you had thought.
Mixed emotions.
26th January 2009 - 1st February 2009 A solar eclipse on the mid-heaven of your horoscope announces a window of opportunity, first and foremost in regard to your career. Now, this may not translate as a brilliant new job or a promotion but a series of developments that steers you on a different course. Eclipses change patterns; they also bring people into your life who become catalysts for change so don't be surprised if you meet someone during the next few weeks who awakens you to fresh possibilities. As February opens you should feel you have exited the slow lane of life, situations are picking up, and you are moving and motoring.
A window of opportunity.
2nd February 2009 - 8th February 2009 If you haven't yet made strides with your career or a major objective, the arrival of Mars in the zone of life-goals could make a serious difference. On the one hand, someone in a position of power could make it clear to you that he or she means business and, on the other, it's time you realized that waiting for others to make you offers or reveal their intentions is no way forward – you have to take charge. Information reaching you this week could temporarily knock the wind out of your sails but if you cut out the emotions and accept the counsel of friends and valued colleagues, an alternative will present itself.
Getting motivated.
9th February 2009 - 15th February 2009 Mystery and suspense belong on the pages of a book or the TV screen, not real life, but somehow something has gone from being straight-forward to complex in the extreme. A contract may need renegotiation, a job that looked in the bag could be up in the air and someone you depend upon may be acting very strangely indeed. By the weekend you should be a lot clearer about what is really going on but especially at the start of the week keep your feet on the ground and remember that until the curtain comes down, the show isn't over. There is a glitch in there somewhere but it will be sorted far quicker if you remain detached and positive.
Missing pieces.
16th February 2009 - 22nd February 2009 You're going to read the words, the big push, from me many times this coming year and on one of them you will be ready to assert your authority and show people of what you are made. And this week could be it. Especially where your career and material needs are concerned, you cannot allow opportunities to pass you by: even if blowing your own trumpet is alien to you, or being forceful in your demands, get over your reservations and shoot for that proverbial moon. Fortune favours the brave and you're just going to have to test this aphorism for yourself. There are openings for you: all you have to do is see them.
Windows of opportunity.
23rd February 2009 - 1st March 2009 This is the right time to have talks related to your future. Someone in a position of authority can be approached with a view to backing your ideas and you should explore the tiniest opportunity to advance professionally or add to your material lot. The week is largely upbeat and with a climate of good-will surrounding your affairs this is no time to be shy about your assets or your intentions. Mercury's conjunction to Jupiter harks back to events at the start of the year so you may have a favourable response to a question posed then or a project begun. Certainly, the power of positive thinking cannot be underestimated.
Waving not drowning.
2nd March 2009 - 8th March 2009 Just when you thought something was in the bag along comes Neptune... It may be that an unexpected flaw develops in an otherwise solid arrangement or someone you depended upon runs into a road block – developments that fortunately will only temporarily impede progress. On the other hand, a problem may now be revealed such that you cannot continue along the same path. Certainly, if doubts are raised at this point the sensible action would be to bring a halt to the situation, giving everyone concerned the opportunity to consider their options. Time will indeed tell.
Gaining clarity.
9th March 2009 - 15th March 2009 This may be turning out already to be a month of surprises. Certainly, this week isn't your average week, whether you're involved in new activities, meeting unusual people or coping with an unexpected turn of events. Relationships are unlikely to be smooth and straight-forward, and it may be that a friend or colleague is labouring under a misconception, which is threatening your association. Events are being blown up out of all proportion so do your best to be the rational Bull in a circus of headless chickens. On the plus side a situation that has been developing gradually may be ready to show itself to the world.
Reason before rampage!
16th March 2009 - 22nd March 2009 Andy Warhol observed that hell is other people and you could have reason to quote him this week. When people have different ideas about what is going to work and what isn't somehow a middle way has to be found, and it seems a working project or a group plan is the source of contention - either that or you've come to the conclusion that something isn't going to work unless a lot more time, money and effort is going to be piled into it. This may indeed be the moment to throw in the towel but before you do make sure you let the person or persons involved know that you are keeping the door open. You may be smart but you have a heart.
Open to compromise.
23rd March 2009 - 29th March 2009 It is unlike you to be unsure of your feelings but with the sun and Mercury hidden in the obscure twelfth house it could be difficult to separate fact from fiction. Pluto isn't helping matters by bringing something that has been buried up to the surface and confusing the picture you had established. For some, this may translate as a set of complex feelings that require processing but for others a matter that has been concealed is ready to be revealed. Clearly, if this necessitates immediate changes you have to get motoring but should time not be of the essence then make a tactical withdrawal and wait until you know what it is in your best interests to do.
Dig deep.
6th April 2009 - 12th April 2009 You're not quite your resilient self at the moment, whether this translates as not feeling as fit and fabulous as usual or because you are more sensitive to criticism. This phase will pass but it could reach something of a peak this week. Take as much rest as you can and surround yourself with people who are kind, positive and co-operative and if someone does give you a hard time do your level best not to take it personally. Somewhere behind the scenes good news is gathering, and it may well involve a job or a much desired goal. All the more reason therefore to brush away those doubt-devils and start affirming your assets.
Positive thinking.
30th March 2009 - 5th April 2009 Figuring what is really going on is the challenge du jour. Something you had believed was set in stone could be in doubt and people who were once on the same page as yourself may be in a whole other place. A great deal of good can come out of any conflict but you will need to act in a way you have never done before. You'll need to think outside the box. Pluto is beautifully aligned with your sign so in the long term everything that happens now will be to your advantage; also, the reason why something has performed a seismic shift is due to circumstances beyond other people's control. Remain optimistic but non-resistant.
Earth moves.
13th April 2009 - 19th April 2009 On the 19th the sun arrives in your sign generating light and energy, and, more importantly, giving you back some control over your life. However, until Sunday take everything very slowly and if someone changes his or her mind at the last moment or there is some other inconvenience, assume there is a reason and don't waste time trying to return to the original plan. You may not feel particularly lucky at present but there is an element of divine providence at work. In other words, remain serene in the knowledge that everything is unfolding as it should.
Last minute changes.
27th April 2009 - 3rd May 2009 With Venus secreted in the twelfth house you may be unsure about your real feelings or someone could be leading you a merry dance. Either way, light will be shed on the matter this week. Enlightenment may come in the form of a personal epiphany or information could reach you that puts a complex situation in sharper perspective. This is not the time to assume a romance will remain hidden forever nor should you expect anyone to keep a secret if they are placed under a lot of pressure to divulge it. Eruptions are the nature of Pluto, although as you have probably discovered by now, sometimes it's a whole lot better out than in!
Keeping a lid on it?
20th April 2009 - 26th April 2009 New moons preside over new beginnings. Not every Taurean will be opening a brand new chapter of life but all should sense a new energy and spirit within them. And with this much can be accomplished. Situations that have been going nowhere can be put back on track, lost confidence and hope in a venture can be replenished and a more positive attitude will generally improve life and your prospects. Thursday is an excellent time for a meeting regarding your career or a material matter, and if you've been wondering when to make a pitch of any description the second half of the week is the one to shoot for. You are only limited by your fear.
A new shoot.
4th May 2009 - 10th May 2009 There is an innate harmony in your horoscope at present, which should be reflected in part of your life, if not all of it. The plans you are making should come to fruition and the ideas you are exchanging are based on solid ground. There is a but, of course, and it comes in the shape of Mercury's turning retrograde on Thursday. This planet is notorious for slowing down the wheels of commerce and communication so sometimes those understandings reached have a way of reversing themselves, but while some tweaking may be necessary over the next three weeks, the basic principles should hold firm. Saturday's full moon gives you a full heart.
Sound reasoning.
11th May 2009 - 17th May 2009
It may be difficult to reach the correct conclusion so don't be pressurized into making a decision until you feel sure of all the facts and comfortable in yourself. Jupiter and Neptune could be making magic or mayhem this week, and even if you are over the moon with happiness it won't hurt to get everything on paper and signatures on promises. And if you are somewhat dismayed by an outcome, do not accept the news at face value – there could be mistakes and miscalculations. Mercury heads back into your sign on Thursday encouraging you to do more research and helping you discover the origins of problems and the reasons behind anomalies.
Sifting through the facts.
18th May 2009 - 24th May 2009 Mercury in retrograde may hold up the traffic but it also delivers good news – a factor you may be happy to discover this week. Something you believed was lost could be recovered and someone you have not heard from for a while could be back in touch. Sometimes it seems our faith has been misplaced too – we give up on someone and consign an endeavour to the dustbin of dreams. However, alignments like these can do wonderful things for broken hearts and missed opportunities. Certainly, there is much to be gained from reopening a negotiation now or offering the pipe of peace to someone with whom you have been estranged.
Backtracking with attitude.
25th May 2009 - 31st May 2009 Earth signs are realistic by nature and there's nothing more unsettling to the Taurean Bull than not knowing where you stand and being given vague statements. However, there is some merit in allowing a situation the freedom to evolve as it should and clear value in placing your trust where it belongs – and that sometimes means in the hands of a professional or someone who knows what he or she is doing. It is quite possible that a situation magically comes together or that someone's change of heart does you an enormous favour. Then again, you may be totally unaware of how events are conspiring to produce a positive outcome a little further down the line.
Letting be.
1st June 2009 - 7th June 2009 It may take another week or so for you to notice the Mars effect but if you're raring to go and ever so slightly impatient, you know why. During the next six weeks you should make more progress than you have in the previous five months and instead of giving way to the wishes and needs of others you'll be far more assertive and self-actuating. This is the right time to take plans off the drawing board and bring them into reality and should they involve travel or people and places far away, so much the better. Just how much Saturn and a full moon will help or hinder your immediate success rather depends, but if the credit squeeze feels uncomfortably tight, shed a commitment.
Motivated and moving forward.
8th June 2009 - 14th June 2009 The combined charms of Venus and Mars could be already working, whether you seem to be luckier than usual, receiving more than your share of compliments or experiencing a resurgence of romance. Sometimes, of course, the planets need some cooperation so if you're still repeating that sad old mantra - nothing good ever happens to me – begin a new one saying – change your thoughts and change your life. Hope and faith play a big part in the achievement of your goals at all times but especially now. With this in mind, make a move regarding a desire or ambition in the early to mid part of the week: you may be surprised at the results.
Believing is achieving.
15th June 2009 - 21st June 2009 Do not underrate the power of charm to take you where you want to go. Of course, it helps if you're prepared and know what you're doing but even the most hard-hearted individual could be proverbial putty in your hands now. Well, maybe that's a tad overblown but you can win people over and make a great impression. As for affairs of the heart, a romance could take off and a relationship that has seen better days could be back in business. The only blot on the landscape is Uranus-shaped, and you may need to be extra careful with financial transactions, especially those that are electronically driven.
Making the most of your assets.
22nd June 2009 - 28th June 2009 An important journey is imprinted in these stars. You may indeed be travelling to a far away place or a trip could prove highly eventful but it will be the distance you cover in wisdom and experience that really counts. Pluto reveals mysteries and exposes feelings that have been buried deep down so at the very least a conversation with a colleague or family member will touch on some hugely sensitive issues. However, it is possible that what comes to light now will completely change your view of someone or that a situation will be seen in a totally different light. This is a week when the wraps come off and new understandings are reached.
Seeing the light.
29th June 2009 - 5th July 2009 You're never going to make a wrong move by acting from the heart. Coming from a place of love is always the right place. Therefore, if you want to speed the course of love or discover whether your love is reciprocated, make your move. And by the same token you may be on the receiving end of someone else's desire to show you how much you are adored. Even if your world is not currently turning because of an affair of the heart you cannot fail if your actions are prompted by truth and integrity. But if you are about to marry or make a loving commitment you have the stars giving you their blessing.
That loving feeling.
6th July 2009 - 12th July 2009 Mars is a wonderful spur to achieving your ambitions but a danger to the entente cordiale. Put another way, while you may be able to reach an important target this week you could make an enemy in the process. To a certain extent what happens during the course of the next seven days is already in the pipeline, and the result of many previous developments, but if you are going into meetings or dealing with people of importance, being forewarned of a potential misunderstanding can only help. Should something of a miracle occur now you have earned it from past deeds and if you run into a giant pothole be patient and forgiving.
Mysterious forces.
13th July 2009 - 19th July 2009 Do you have something on your mind? Is there someone you need to impress with your ideas? If so, don't waste a second in pouring forth your opinions and plans. The celestial Bull is a constant creature - no, I didn't say immoveable - but change is the stuff of growth and this is a great period to expand your world. You could be about to take a holiday or travel some distance, if so, these influences will broaden your outlook and inspire fresh thoughts for your future. On the other hand, you could be ready to embark on an ambitious personal or professional project. Whatever the case, you should have no complaints about the outcome.
Crossing frontiers.
20th July 2009 - 26th July 2009 Even if you cannot see Wednesday's solar eclipse you should know that it portends an arrival and/or a departure, and principally where finances are concerned. A loan or investment could be in the pipeline - one that will radically alter your overall worth - or an unexpected development could necessitate a major financial overhaul. Either way, what arrives in your life will take you away from an old way of being. There are no accidents thanks to eclipses: those things that occur are part of your destiny, thus all that is required of you is the ability to embrace change and to make the very best of situations.
New thinking.
27th July 2009 - 2nd August 2009 There should be no confusion about a matter, no doubt in your mind: if you want a plan to materialize, a desire to be fulfilled, then you have to be uncompromising in your actions. This may be no news to the celestial Bull but with Venus as your ruler you can put up with situations for the sake of peace for far too long. And you seem to have reached the end of the line. Perhaps all that is required is a no-holds-barred discussion but if you still aren't comfortable with the outcome you may have to vote with your feet. Whatever you do, however, make sure it resonates with your heart not just your mind...
Actions with consequences.
3rd August 2009 - 9th August 2009 Never one for short term solutions you could be looking way into the distance and reaching important conclusions. And this is the ideal time. Mercury, the communicator, is in perfect alignment with Pluto, which in some cases will presage or coincide with a journey of some length and in others with a decision of some magnitude. It is the lunar eclipse that encourages closure and conclusions and although you should be looking at a happy ending in the event of a disappointment take comfort in the notion that further down the line the outcome would have been the same and you would have gained nothing by hanging in there.
It'll all come out in the wash.
10th August 2009 - 16th August 2009 It's never easy taking a salary cut or accepting less of anything we believe we deserve but it may be necessary to make a big concession at this time. A little bit of something is better than a lot of nothing! Indeed, it could be to your advantage that you make such a proposition now, before someone decides that an offer can no longer be supported or that your price is too high. By contrast this week could see you making an upwardly mobile move or being on the receiving end of some great good news. But whatever the week ahead brings in the way of highs and lows, remember such events are part of life, not all of it.
Less is more.
17th August 2009 - 23rd August 2009 Nothing is quite as it seems so be your usual cautious self and wait until the whole situation has unravelled before making a response. It may be
that developments in other people's lives ricochet onto yours so that plans must be changed and opinions altered. Then again, it could be you who
feels unready to fulfil an obligation or set a blue-print in motion. Either way, when everything is in a state of flux there's very little point
trying to reach a conclusion and set your course in a firm direction. By contrast, if you feel like doing something completely different or someone
opens a window of opportunity for you, go for it.
Change with a capital C.
24th August 2009 - 30th August 2009 If it's not Uranus rattling your cage it's Pluto revealing what lies beneath and generally making life somewhat intense. Clearly, if you have been waiting for the right moment to explore a deep and complex issue you have the perfect astro-scape but otherwise you'll be hard pressed to find lightness and mirth. Journeys could be particularly demanding whether you have a long way to go or because of inconveniences and other people's thoughtlessness. And when it comes to dealing with individuals who have different opinions from yours don't expect to win them over with the force of your argument. Agree to differ.
A long journey.
31st August 2009 - 5th September 2009 Don't leave it too late to set a date in the diary or resolve a small problem. Mercury, the communication-meister is about to turn retrograde giving you this week to tie up loose ends. You may also find that a minor upset has more to it than initially believed. With this in mind, don't be in too much of a hurry to dismiss a complaint issued by a loved one or a colleague: give the person time to fully explain the situation and leave your opinions and needs on one side for the moment. September is going to produce many important moments and you don't want to be kicking yourself for not having made the most of this week to debate and inwardly digest.
Getting it sorted.
6th September 2009 - 13th September 2009 Be very philosophical about what comes or goes. When Venus and Jupiter are centre stage there's always something good at the heart of events so treat any kind of refusal or delay as a blessing in disguise. News reaching you, most probably in regard to work, could make the future seem less certain but there's plenty of water to flow under that proverbial bridge before a possibility becomes a reality. Your time could best be used this week by doing some research and making contact with people you trust – indeed networking to good effect is one of the great pluses to September. And if you're in the mood for romance here it comes with a capital R.
Hidden benefits.
14th September 2009 - 20th September 2009 It's a case of dejĂ -vue all over again! Whether you're looking at events in other people's lives or experiencing them yourself it will seem as though you have been in this position before. There are positive sides to the current alignments which will take time to be revealed so it will be a case of dealing with practicalities now and waiting until later to see where events will take you. Much as you may value certain aspects of the past and much as you may resent change it is the right time to make way for the future. And should a new endeavour or association come into being now, it could change your life completely.
Memories are made of this.
21st September 2009 - 27th September 2009 It's all very well living in the moment but the Taurean Bull needs to know it has an insurance policy, a long-term plan and a nest egg. And this week's stars are all about preparing for the future and discarding aspects of the past that are no longer part of your journey. There could be news from someone in a far off place or you could be travelling some distance; on the other hand, you may be looking at your ten-year planner and penning in some mighty ideas. This is no time to be fearful or half-hearted in your actions: indeed, the harder the decision you have to make and the tougher the experience the farther you'll go.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step...
28th September 2009 - 4th October 2009 No longer are you forced to be in the slow lane of life. You can see where you're going and your foot is pressed down hard on the accelerator. There is always a reason for a delay and you could discover just who and what has been behind the craziness of the past few weeks. It may also be that recent events have thrown you for a loop and only now are you able to process them and take appropriate steps. In this regard Sunday's full moon could prove entirely useful since it will help you bring an end to a situation that has been draining your energies and emotions. You might be breaking one of your own rules in the process, but that's a small price to pay for liberation.
Cutting loose.
5th October 2009 - 11th October 2009 You're going to have to accommodate other people and even if you think their actions or demands are unreasonable and inadvisable they must be allowed to make their own mistakes. In some cases this advice will apply in a retrospective way, in that decisions taken some while back yield results and it will be your job to avoid saying: I told you so! And if you come to see that not all your ideas were as good as they seemed at the time there is always that old saying to fall back on – there's a reason for everything. Positive change can happen now, even if it is going to take some getting used to over the months ahead.
Reaching a verdict.
12th October 2009 - 18th October 2009 There are many good points about the week ahead, the trouble is you may not realize it at the time. Pluto takes a while to deliver its real message and so often what initially appears to be one way turns out to be altogether different in the fullness of time. If you are ready to make a big statement then you have the cosmos right behind you – indeed, this is the perfect moment to bid goodbye to an old way of living – but if the curtain comes down on a situation without your say-so, there's little point in putting up a resistance. Elimination and transformation are Pluto's bylines, whether you clear out your closet or clear out of town!
Making a clean break.
19th October 2009 - 25th October 2009 There should be no struggle involved in attaining your objectives this week. Angles of harmony pervade your horoscope so if you've been holding back with the intention of making your move at the best time possible, the green light is on. This is an especially good week for exploring ways to increase your earning power and to rise up the corporate ladder: it's a good week to make progress with anything of a career nature. What you may like to bear in mind too is that some of the best opportunities lie outside your comfort zone, even in a whole other country. Spread those wings, Taurus: that's what they're there for.
Going far.
26th October 2009 - 1st November 2009 The area of relationships is beginning to become more and more interesting. Someone could be making overtures to you and there could be meetings and discussions that will lead to life improvements, and certainly a better understanding between you and others. What you may have to watch out for, however, is a more aggressive stance from a business associate or a partner: it may only take one thoughtless remark to ignite a controversy and a union once in perfect harmony could be in discord. Nonetheless, this period of the year has much to offer in the way of progress and happiness. Just keep those doors of communication wide open.
Offers and opportunities.
2nd November 2009 - 8th November 2009 You are at something of a crossroads. Ideally, you want to make an informed decision, which requires time, but events move fast and you may have to act on the spur of the moment. A big opportunity could be in front of you, one that you would be foolish not to take, however, it is in the Taurean nature to consider others and not to take a risk so you are bound to feel torn between staying where you are and heading into unproven territory. Have the confidence of your gut feelings: you may think with your head but unless the heart is behind your actions you will never be completely happy with your decision.
Head versus heart?
9th November 2009 - 15th November 2009 You could be learning something very new from someone to whom you are close. This is a time of changing horizons, a time when you are being encouraged to open your mind and your heart to new possibilities. At least this is the stronger force in this week's astro-scape. There are other influences that could interfere with a project or association that has been stumbling for a while but even a difficulty could lead to improvements. Not everything is as crystal clear as it might be so don't be mislead by other people's interpretations of an incident and double check information that disagrees with your calculations.
Mix-ups.
