GENERAL
Aries thrives on success and the thrill of the new and untrammelled. But when that new and untrammelled turns out to be as bumpy as the moon’s surface the gas goes soon out of your balloon. 2002 saw many a deflated Aries’ balloon but instead of stepping into 2003 armed with cynicism and self-defeat you need to aim all your big guns at your targets and keep them there, realigning when necessary. Last year may well have given you one dispiriting experience after another so what you need to do now is look at any patterns that may have repeated themselves, see where you might have done something differently and apply that knowledge to new situations.
Saturn’s entry into Cancer on 3rd June, means the area of home and family will be under re-construction for a period of many months. This will be a particularly challenging position for Aries because it means everything related to children, parents, nesting and nurturing will take T-I-M-E. You won’t be able to build Rome in a day and you will discover any weaknesses in your long-term plans and inter-family relationships. On a more practical note, selling and buying property is likely to prove complicated: you may get less for your home than you had hoped while the acquisition of a new home could cost you more than you expected! Late June, early July and early October are times when Saturn is in the ascendant and you’ll have to lower your expectations and higher your guard.
The eclipses of the year fall in the areas of finance and communications so these are also aspects of life that require caution. I will, of course, keep you posted nearer the time on the finer points and implications of these eclipses but suffice to say mid-to-late May and mid-to-late November are times when you need to keep your plans fluid, your wits about you and your money and valuables in a safety deposit box! Nevertheless, eclipses also have the capacity to bring great and good developments into being, so some Arians could see their earning power increase dramatically in 2003.
Jupiter’s passage through Leo until late August is a positive plus: you’re in expansion mode and there will be some fun times, most significantly in April and August. A combination of determination, self-belief and persistence will really get you places in 2003 and this is certainly the year to set up your own business and to focus on creative, artistic and entrepreneurial ventures.
Thanks also to Jupiter’s sunny presence in the area of creativity and self-expression you have until the end of August to flaunt your assets, any which way you chose. Until June success builds upon success but after that you’ll face stiffer competition and you’ll be less free to take up opportunities, especially those involving travel.
LOVE
Love, like spring, blossoms in April. You also get a second bite of the cherry, so to speak, in mid-September and early October. Single Arians will not go short of admirers and romantic episodes while Aries who are ‘spoken for’ get much more attention from their partners - expect to be spoiled in very real and expensive terms. You will be adding to your lot before late August, whether the family group expands or you splash out on the best holiday for years.

Now, I don’t mean to burst your Aries bubble from the outset but this is probably not one of the great years - until September that is. Saturn’s position at the base of your horoscope spells w-o-r-k and r-e-s-p-o-n-s-i-b-i-l-i-t-i-e-s, especially regarding the home and family, so your best bet is to keep your expectations low then you may have some welcome surprises. In a nutshell this is a year of preparation: you need to put in the spade work on both a personal and professional level, then you can reap the rewards from the autumn onwards. The cosmos is giving you a master class in patience and tenacity - something to bear in mind particularly in late March, early July and mid-October.
Love and relationships
While the start to the year may find you at your most independent and go-getting, as the months pass your need to have someone absolutely on your side grows ever stronger until by the summer your lights are well and truly on. And thanks to Jupiter’s arrival in the area of love and relating (25th September) your needs should soon be answered. From the autumn through to September 2005 marriage and business mergers are starred, making this one of the best periods in at least a decade for love, if not a lot more besides.
Money and Work
Slow and steady progress is what you’re aiming for: that million-dollar win on the lottery is probably out of reach this year but the efforts you make to keep down costs and the long term deals you strike should make you very comfortable in years to come. February is the best money-making month while the eclipses of early May and late October present wild-card situations, whether this translates as unexpected gains or drains. Work there should be in abundance and March Arians in particular could see their star rise in 2004.

There are two reasons why 2005 will be a good year for Aries: Jupiter will be in a position where it can bring success and Saturn will be adding to your lot in material ways. There will be more support for you and your ambitions, more travel and unexpected opportunities to expand your life - the early April is one such golden period. Nevertheless, with three eclipses (8th April, 3rd and 17th October), you will have to be careful not to exceed your physical and financial limits, nor that in your drive to succeed you do not alienate a person or an organization who could damage you. The loss of a friendship/association could be one of 2005's less glorious offerings, although you will end the year feeling enriched by your experiences.
Love
Well, this is the big thing of 2005. Arians are front of the zodiac queue when it comes to getting married, falling in love and finding greater happiness through relationships. And, if you've been manning your ship single-handed for the past few years, people now appear who clearly admire your assets and talents, and can speed your course. 22nd March - 15th April and 20th September - 8th October are key periods for your love life. It is here that Saturn has incurred the greatest cost over the past couple of years. Happily, this trend comes to an end in 2005, and once August begins there is an aura of starting-over, in some cases marked by a new home. Provided your efforts are focused on endeavours worthy of your talents, and if you are persistent and painstaking with those efforts you'll hit the heights. You'll be taken more seriously now, and other people will be prepared to give you rewards and recognition. If there are reservations about your rise and rise, it is that your time for fun will be limited, and there is a chance that your health will suffer in the process. Indeed, some Arians could see a fall in their levels of creativity, whether in the sense of innovative ideas or the patter of tiny feet - short but regular bursts of pleasure and relaxation are the antidote here. March and April are the months with the most dynamic and divergent content; May and June contain the most challenging influences.
Love
In keeping with the overall trend for serious business, you are not in the mood for a light-hearted fling: you want deep and meaningful exchanges. Last year Jupiter began a new cycle for relationships so for many Arians 2006 sees even stronger structures being built on those early foundations. Others, however, may still be waiting... Nonetheless, don't expect success to come at the speed of lightening: Saturn's position continues to make you work on quality as opposed to quantity, and to keep on going without constant ego-boosts. Jupiter's passage through the area of far horizons will open up your world, and in directions you'll be thrilled about: for some there will be lots of travel - and to distant places - others can expect to meet someone who will make the world seem a bigger and better place - and a few may realize a life-time's dream. You cannot treat your health casually: you're driving yourself hard and, like a racing car, you need occasional pit-stops and check-ups. The periods of 8th-17th March and 3rd-12th October are superb; late January and early to mid February test your mettle.

Avoid being too serious about the business of love. Believe me, love will find you without your looking for it, and when you least expect it. There are lessons to be learned about patience and selfless love, and an older partner, or one with a strong Capricorn or Saturn emphasis, will be your teacher. process. Career and material matters are in the spotlight and this is your most
upwardly-mobile year in a decade. And perhaps because of all the work you'll be taking on
plus the extra responsibilities, you'll need to keep a watchful eye on your health.
You'll be mixing with people of power and influence, in some cases due to your own
achievements and in others through an offspring or family member. And for some Arians, fame, and
certainly recognition, lies ahead. You can only fail to live up to your expectations by giving
up or giving in too soon. April is your best month; August the most challenging.

Something in you changes this year, whether as a result of a relationship break-down or
because you start to see that you have been bound by your own patterns. You have some difficulty

Normally one of the most outgoing members of the zodiac, this summer you are far more introspective and focused on those things close to home, both in the sense of family and your activities. I know you hate that word patience but you are going to have tread water in one or more areas of your existence during the next twelve weeks, although this does not mean you should give up hope where your long-term plans are concerned; it is more a case of waiting for the wheels of bureaucracy to turn and for people and organizations to get their act together. Which they will.
LOVE
Keep your eyes trained on September because this is when a relationship will come into full flower. The 16th - 23rd September represents a key period for romance, although the summer as a whole helps put the past firmly behind you and brings new energy and light into your love life. You're a little more vulnerable health-wise so minor distress signals should be attended to, and your work-load pared or shared. There could be additions to the family and an opportunity for you to shine in the spotlight.

With Venus in your sign from 3 February – 5 June, you cannot blame your stars for a lacklustre love life. You have the time and the power to manifest your romantic hopes and set relationships on a firm course. From late June until the end of September the emphasis is on private life - you're not in the spotlight, moving and shaking, but recharging the batteries and keeping close to those you love. August is the best month all round, September a time of changing alliances and priorities.

Jupiter's passage through the premier relationship zone puts romance back on the menu and sets the stage for marriage - or inspires in you a need and desire to find a fulfilling partnership. And this trend reaches something of a peak between mid-August and mid-September - indeed, events of the 28th August - 2nd September could totally change the nature and status of an intimate relationship.
