GENERAL
There are two reasons to celebrate the start to 2003: Jupiter’s presence in your sign is numero uno and Uranus’s exit from the area of relationships (March 10th) is the second. Now, I do not want to raise your hopes too high but at the very least the coming year will be an improvement on the last. And in some cases and for some Leos the next twelve months will contain one or more event that totally transforms your life for the better.
Jupiter increases confidence and helps you make big plans and fulfil them. However, sometimes the fulfilment of those plans takes longer than the transit itself. So, if by the 27th August, when Jupiter moves in into Virgo, you see no sign of success for your efforts, have patience: those beginnings were made at a very fertile time and they cannot but hope to materialize at some point in the future.
Sometimes a Jupiter transit will bring fame and even on a small scale you may make a name for yourself. Therefore, every effort should be made to contact people who can open career doors for you and if you have tried and failed to get an endeavour off the ground, try again. The only thing you will have to watch with Jupiter in Leo is that you don’t go to the opposite extreme and become too big for your boots! At all times check the amount of ego you have invested in a situation and try to see the whole picture, not just your part in it.
Having got rid of Uranus from the area of relationships (see section on Love ) Neptune could prove to be the one banana skin on your path to happiness and success, primarily because of the lack of clarity this planet generates. Constant reality checks are advised, especially around the 30th January, 16th February, 4th August and 2nd November. By complete contrast and in keeping with Neptune’s ocean-going theme, this is the year to build your ship of dreams. Money may well come out of nowhere, as will backers, and if a job ends suddenly - and in a hail of bullets - consider it the springboard to your next career incarnation. Speculate to accumulate should be another of your year’s mantras and from late August you will do nicely from property moves and savings’ schemes.
LOVE
With Uranus out of the way from March onwards, your love life will be subject to less upsets and that fleet of commitment-phobes you’ve been running into will have moved into someone else’s orbit. The eclipses of the 16th May and 9th November could bring in overall life changes but these are also times when love blows in and out of your life like a hurricane. March is the top romantic period of the year with Mid-July to mid-August second.

You could just coast through 2004, enjoying the many upbeat developments but if you’re a wise Lion you’ll be preparing for the proverbial rainy days of 2006. You have almost two years in which to create a large cache of resources - material and otherwise. In 2004 you need to be alert to problems and attending to them immediately, whether they are minor health niggles or distress signals in a relationship. The eclipses of early May and late October flank the life-direction axis so especially if you have a July birthday an unexpected fork in your life-path may well appear around these times. Early February, late July and end November are also periods when fate takes a hand. In a nutshell 2004 is a year of progress and opportunity.
Love and Relationships
Neptune’s influence is still strong in the area of partnership so on the plus side you may fall deeply in love this year but on the down side there could be a shortfall in fidelity and commitment - August 2nd - 7th birthdays are particularly susceptible to relationship ups and downs in 2004. New romances begun in May could generate more heartache than happiness. September is the most potent month for finding love (and success generally) while May has more than one romantic pothole.
Money and Work
The best year in years for money and your reputation. With finances not quite the problem they once were you are free in 2004 to experiment and explore. You may not be able to rely on people to do exactly what they say but you have a new independence. Saturn, the life-coach of the planets, enters your sign on 18th July, after a twenty-eight year sabbatical, so you are about to be put through your paces, physically, financially, professionally and emotionally. Adding to this theme of a giant learning curve, is Jupiter's transit of the third house of travel and communications. While 2005 may be marked by a journey of many thousands of miles, the greater distance you cover will be in terms of knowledge and experience - this is definitely the year to go back to school or acquire extra skills/qualifications. The last weeks of January and July, and the first week of November represent the year's turning points.

Lightweight is not a description of your 2006 - there is work to be done, both on getting your personal life back on track and achieving one or more of your life ambitions. Saturn will be focusing his lessons on stepping-up-to-the-mark and taking-responsibility, which may translate as your rising to a position of authority or your having to rely solely on your own efforts and judgement most of the time. Late January, late April, early August and mid-November are all periods when challenges bring out your qualities of leadership and loyalty. Jupiter provides a perfect antidote to any hardships by helping you turn a difficulty into a triumph and giving reasons for celebration - watch 4 May, 25 October or 21 November. You will also be the beneficiary of divine intervention: put another way, a loss will turn out to be a gain and a selfless action will be rewarded tenfold.
Love
You are far more serious about love and much more needy this year, however, you must fight such tendencies since they will drive a partner away and keep love from the door. Be strong in yourself and do not depend on others for emotional support or practical assistance. If you are twenty-nine, forty or fifty-eight years old, you have reached a point where you are ready to settle down or turn a romance into a long-term union - 25th March and 17th August would make perfect wedding days. You'll gradually stop wondering what difficulty lies around each corner and instead start expecting roses. Two eclipses in your sign make this a summer of significance. You may have selected this season for a major occasion already but if not expect one or more events to leave a lasting imprint. Relationships are the big summer story and in general other people will be the catalysts of change, whether they are introducing you to new places and exotic fare or inspiring you to move into new personal/professional territory. August is full of excitement, on the one hand, and instability on the other so keep your timetable as fluid as your plans. Especially if you have a birthday on or near the 1st or 15th August you are at a life crossroads and although you may be driven by events, there will be choices to make.
LOVE
Oh la la! Are you in for a few surprises. Love affairs spring out from nowhere and with the force of a tsunami and some Leos will have to make a choice between two equally powerful loves – nonetheless your heart will pull you towards one. The other side of this same astrological coin is that for a few Leos a once stable relationship will be in pieces, possibly over infidelity or some other kind of betrayal. Certainly, fate will appear to be directing your course in August. breeze. You have learned your Saturnian lessons well and will be tasting the fruit of your
turmoils in the way of hard work paying off or seeing those who have profited at your cost facing
their own nemesis. Leo is a sign that expects great things but if you focus on modest growth and
celebrate each little victory as it happens, you will, like the tortoise, achieve your goals. All
the key areas of life - work, finance and relationships - are affected by Jupiter, Saturn
and the eclipses so this is a year with more than its share of fateful events. People have never
been more important to your plans or more instrumental in changing the shape of your existence.
With this in mind your guiding principle should be if something or someone cannot give you any
guarantees you should withdraw until they can. February is your best month, September the most
trying.

Relationships are perhaps the most unpredictable area of life this year. In part this is to do
with the eclipses of February and August, which produce unexpected events, either in your life or
