During the last two and a half years you have not only had to contend with Pluto but also Saturn so the news that this censorious planet is to move out of the area of relationships (3rd June) should be greeted with whoops of joy. Of course, this does not mean that you can throw out of the window all those lessons you learned the hard way but it does imply that your path through life will be less strewn with obstacles. Pluto continues to be a force to be reckoned with, especially for 8th - 12th December birthdays and if you still don’t know what Pluto does, think about the last time someone stormed into your life and turned it upside down. Pluto helps you fulfil your destiny but this is rarely achieved in fun times and almost always through a ring of fire. The periods of 2003 during which Pluto is at his transformational best are: 3rd - 17th March, 5th - 15th June, 3rd - 12th September and 23rd November - 13th December.
Your ruler, Jupiter, is on great form throughout 2003. Until late August this planet will be gracing the ninth house of long-distance matters, so you will be able to indulge in one of Sagittarius’s favourite pastimes - travel - and there could be some exciting professional and personal opportunities arising from far afield. Certainly, the combination of Saturn’s move into Cancer and Jupiter’s position in Leo should give you back your optimism and revive your love of new territory, whether of the literal or metaphorical variety. From late August Jupiter will bring his expansive influence to bear on career matters, enabling some Archers to rise to eminence and in general helping you make the most of your talents.
Paradoxically, finances continue to require careful handling. Business partnerships still have Saturn to contend with so other people can still make life very difficult for you - generosity and fair play are not necessarily what others have in mind. Financial risks should not be taken and borrowings should be kept to a manageable level. Provided you know you can cover all your bases without the support of others you will be fine.
The eclipses of 31st May and 23rd November focus on your sign and these periods of the year are likely to be ones when the big decisions are made and the seeds of major events in the future are sown. Love and Relationships
You’ll get more support this year and relationships should deepen and prosper. However, some Sagittarians are more than ready to make their exit from partnerships they have outgrown - February, May and August all contain liberating moments. Indeed, although freedom and independence are the Archer's crie-de-coeur, you'll learn the advantages of team work and togetherness in 2005. Another theme for the year is making your mark, whether in regard to personal triumphs or professional achievement.

Passionate encounters may suit the commitment-shy Sagittarian but after a bout of Pluto, you're ready for the quiet life. The summer brings you out of your shell - yes, I know that's a strange place for outgoing Sag to be, but either through work or the stresses and strains of life you've not been having much fun for the past few months. June to end-September finds you more socially -oriented: there could be some big social occasions to attend and you may make a nostalgic journey, either in the sense of returning to an old haunt or reconnecting with an old friend. June is the most challenging month of the summer, with September a close second, and especially if you have an early or mid-December birthday an out of the blue offer or development could send you in a whole new direction.
LOVE
Love has a lot in common with buses: for a while nothing appears then suddenly you're inundated. And this trend is very alive and well during the summer. June puts relationships centre stage, and although you may prefer to be calling all the shots, someone else has the upper hand: goal-posts will be moved and simmering issues will come to a head - and probably on or near the 1st or 14th June. Some Sagittarians, especially the mid-December group, are more than ready for a deep and passionate connection but with such relationships come a degree of upheaval. Very little has come easily this year, and you are going to have to keep your eyes trained on 2007 when one or more of your ships will surely come in. Nonetheless. September's dynamic alignments could prove to be the springboard to future happy events, and if you've been considering a job change or a home move mid-to-late September contains a series of green lights. As for the earlier part of the summer, August should find you on a road trip or visiting distant places, and not only will travel give you a whole new perspective on what you want in life, but you will find more success and appreciation away from home territory.
LOVE
You are putting in the building blocks of the future, and not just in regard to relationships. July produces the biggest marital and romantic highs and lows, although September with its two eclipses (14th and 29th) could shake up a long-established pattern of life. You may also find that a relationship begun in March, or decisions made at that time, reveals its true potential this summer. This period of the year is all about your place in the world, and what you can do to achieve prominence and success, so many of the relationship issues that arise revolve around whether you have (or you can find) someone who can share your visions, even help you make it to the top.
