Christmas doesn’t have to be one extravaganza after another. It can be quiet, reflective and full of soul. And these influences are perfect for a toned-down celebration. They’re also perfect for making important decisions that will affect your future. While it is necessary to take other people’s feelings and needs into account, these cannot be at the cost of your own feelings and principles. What you set in stone now, will pave the way for a relationship or some other project close to your heart to progress. Bow to someone else’s wishes at this time and you’ll have lost the opportunity to gain the upper hand.

Monday, 16 December – Sunday, 22 December

This is a perfect astro-scape if you’re planning to set the seal on a romance or, indeed, do anything romantic. Otherwise, it’s a bit iffy. Neptune is chorus-master and while this planet is just what you need if you are singing carols and decking the halls with holly, it’s not what you need if you’ve got precise plans and you need immediate answers. Also, with Mercury having just turned direct, messages you may have missed or information you needed could only now be surfacing. Do your best to manage the slips and slides of the week-ahead, and remember, there is a reason for everything.

December 2024

It may seem like Groundhog Day, every Christmas you’re the one doing the organizing and the legwork while others are out enjoying themselves, but it will all be worth it. Not only does this look like one of the best years for a gathering of the clans, but there may be a special reason to celebrate which will emerge on or near the 24th. It may take another six months before you see the blooms from December’s seeds, but see them you will. The new moon of the 31st falls in the area of relating signalling a new chapter for love and partnership. Happy days.

The Year Ahead for Cancer

April looks to be a month of turning points, with opportunities arising suddenly and out of nowhere and old roads running out to reveal shiny new ones… Neptune is a happy camper in your ninth house. Its role is to reveal what lies beyond: it can open up realms that were previously inaccessible to you, expanding your consciousness and transforming your world view. Inasmuch as Saturn is making you aware of what needs to be done or compensated for in order to advance in the real world, Neptune is encouraging you to go beyond the limits of your knowledge and beliefs in order to find eternal truths.
