Thursday may be the start of a new year but it seems you have some settling up to do. Saturday’s full moon cuts across the relationship axis, making it the perfect time to put your signature to something that you hope will last a lifetime or end a long-standing endeavour. And even if Saturday comes and goes with nothing remotely done and dusted, over the next two weeks, closure and completion in some form should take place. 2026 is going to be a year of great import, so getting behind situations you have left lingering for far too long is mandatory if you are to fulfil its promise.

Christmas comes in on a Venus-Neptune square – perfect for the spirit of the time and sending the all-important message: make love, not war. Of course, that’s the best version of this planetary coupling, a less inspiring one might be: don’t lose the plot! It is easy to confuse fantasy with fact at such a time, so you need to be careful not to overreact to an unintentional slight or some other honest mistake as though there is something much darker beneath it. Live and let live. Forgive and forget. These are the tools for a happy Christmas, and in some cases, this is going to be the most magical Christmas ever.

Venus remains in your sign until the 17th making this a pivotal period for affairs of the heart. It may take until the new moon (18th) for you to reach a decision, but once it’s made, things will move apace. For many Capricorns the issue is about a relationship – are you in or out? You are a sign that usually puts head over heart, but not so now. Your happiness and ability to thrive are paramount. Finances are another big deal, and the week of the 19th is a corker. The Year Ahead for Capricorn
A full moon within days of the New Year sets the tone for 2026. It is a year in which there will be many endings but also some glorious beginnings. Jupiter continues to bring good people into your life, whether for business, friendship or romance, and it is the year of marriage for many Capricorns… There is a strong focus on family too and on finding your roots whether that means tracing your ancestry or getting a (new) home. And in the process of a home move or a family gathering information could surface that casts a new light on the past.
