There have been better New Years, but we are stuck with the influences we have and can only make the best of them. So, if you’re reading this and wishing things could be bubblier and brighter, you’ll be a member of a big club. Everyone is going through something at this time. At best, Mercury’s square to Saturn and Neptune will enable you to put bricks and mortar on your hopes and dreams, but at worst, it is time to admit that something is unworkable and should be relegated to the box marked: done and dusted. It’s a new day, a new dawn and a new year.

Venus and Neptune are special guests at the cosmic Christmas party, so prepare to be enchanted. On a good day, this combination presides over events that are beyond wonderful, but whenever you have Neptune in the mix, there’s a chance of missteps and misunderstandings. Remind yourself of this so that when someone flubs it, you will be tolerant and forgiving. And if that person is you, grovel! You have the power to make this a very special Christmas. Use it with grace.

January 2026
So, what do you want first? The good news or the not-so-good. The positives about January are that you’re going to be a lot freer, lighter and happier once certain situations are no longer part of your life. The downside is that you’re probably going to be the one doing the pushing and shoving. Most of the moving and shaking will take place from the 20th but before then you could be seeing a lot more of your world and meeting and mingling with people who inspire you and make you think how different your life could be, if only… There’s got to be change, and the roots of life is where it all starts.

The Year Ahead for Scorpio
Stability and security may have been absent from life for a while, but things are changing. From the end of April Uranus will be gone from the relationship zone. However, Uranus is also responsible for those fabulous sparks that fly between two people. Don’t rule out a fling that will change your life, nor believe that you are immune from falling for someone who is already taken… Those of you born in 1981/1982 are most likely to fall deliriously in love, and also the ones most vulnerable to breakups and playing away from home. With this in mind, be prepared for the earth to move on or near the 17 February and 12 August.
