Are you longing for a breathing space? Looking forward to a time when there won’t be so many conflicting events happening all at once? Well, with Mercury heading into retrograde on Thursday, you may just have got your wish. Frustrating as it can be to get anywhere in a straight line when Mercury is in reverse, it also offers you time to regroup and rethink situations. Thus, by the time this planet of communication turns direct (20 March) you’ll be in a better position to make a decision. There is a purpose to everything under the heavens, even those events we do not like at all.

The Month Ahead for Virgo
February 2026
The first thing to accept about February is that things are not going to go exactly to plan. So, set your mind in adapt-and-advance mode. The second thing is that any changes are in your best interests. Venus lights up the relationship zone promising happy endings of a romantic nature and inspiring some life-changing decisions. While you cannot control other people’s actions, how you respond is down to you. And this is a time to play a long game and to allow others to fall into traps of their own making. By the end of the month one or more aspects of your existence are going to look very different.

The Year Ahead for Virgo
2026 is a year of golden opportunities – make the most of events on or near 18 July and 4 November – and while you can learn from the past, you don’t want to live there. Under 2026’s powerful alignments, your happiness lies in going after what (or who) you believe in, even if it means throwing up a piece of your past and entering foreign territory. From July, Jupiter will be moving through the twelfth house in preparation for its transit of Virgo from summer 2027. In tandem, you will be in a period of preparation. Not only are health and fitness important issues to get behind, but the endeavours you begin in the second half of 2026 will take a year to mature.
